Abstract

A library of 43 736 small drug-like molecules is screened against Escherichia coli methionine aminopeptidase and the discovery of potent and highly metalloform-selective inhibitors of the Co-(II)-form and Mn(II)-form, of this enzyme is reported. Finally, the top 64 inhibitors of each enzyme were evaluated against both metalloforms for potency and selectivity.

Abstract

The existence of an aldoxime dehydratase genetically linked with NHase and amidase that is responsible for the metabolism of alkylaldoxime in R. globerulus is reported. According to the enzymological and genetic evidence, OxdRG in combination with NHase and amidase play a significant role in the metabolism of alkylaldoxime.
