Abstract

A study was conducted to learn whether the consumption of low doses of caffeine had ergogenic, perceptual and metabolic effects on cycling. Results indicated that caffeine doses of 2 and 3mg/kg enhance cycling performance and suggest future research to explain the drug's ergogenic properties.
