A study is undertaken to identify the optimal aerobic determinants of 800-m and 1500-m middle distance running (MDR) performance using proportional allometric models. Results suggest that a proportional curvilinear ratio of maximum oxygen intake divided by mean submaximal running economy (ECON) explains 95.9% of the variability in MDR performance.

It is reported that sleep in a normobaric hypoxic tent at a simulated altitude of 2500 m might affect sleep parameters in some individuals.
