Abstract

The study aims to investigate the microRNA expression, survival rate and response to interferon alfa in the case of men and women with liver cancer. The results indicate that there was a difference in expression patterns of microRNA among men and women with the ailment; and also that patients with low miR-26 had a shorter survival rate but a better response to interferon therapy.

Abstract

Research describes deployment of reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction method to study the mechanism of inactivation of hepatitis A virus by chlorine. The technique facilitates synthesis of full sequences of the viral nucleic acids before and after disinfection by chlorine. Data indicate that the chlorine inaactivation involves the loss of the 5'NTR.
