The intersection between the human oral microbiome and oral health is an emerging area of study which has gained momentum over the last decade. This momentum has motivated a search for associations between the oral microbiome and oral cancer, in hopes of identifying possible biomarkers that facilitate earlier diagnosis and improved prognosis for patients with that disease. The present study examined the relationship between the microbiome in the human oral cavity and oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). We searched the literature for case-control studies which focused on the relationship between the human oral microbiome and OSCC. We aggregated three types of data from these studies: bacteriome data at the genus level, predicted functional pathway data, and gene abundance data. From these data, we noted several microbial genera which may be associated with oral cancer status, including Fusobacterium . We also identified functional pathways which merit further investigation, including RNA degradation (ko03018) and primary immunodeficiency (ko05340). In addition, our analysis of gene abundance data identified the gene K06147 (ATP-binding cassette, subfamily B, bacterial) as being over abundant in OSCC samples. Our results are generalizations which identified some currents that we believe could guide further research. Our work faced several limitations related to the heterogeneity of the available data. Wide variation in methods for sample collection, methods for controlling for known behavioral risk factors, computing platform choice, and methods for case-control design all posed confounding factors in this work. We examined the current methods of data collection, data processing, and data reporting in order to offer suggestions toward the establishment of best practices within this field. Using mobile sink increases the coverage time and energy expenditure when there is a burst traffic condition in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Hence, it is essential to handle burst traffic using mobile sinks in an energy-efficient mobility manner. In most studies, mechanisms of the clustering and routing have not taken into account burst traffic. In fact, the number of studies with integrated mobile sink nodes, burst traffic awareness, multi-criteria cluster head (CH) selection, and mobile sink routing is negligible. For this purpose, a novel burst traffic awareness adaptive mobility scheme is proposed based on heterogeneous clustered WSNs, namely Burst Traffic Awareness-Mobility Model (BTA-MM). In the proposed scheme, the network area is first divided into two cluster groups. The CH selection is performed for each round by the average residual energy an d node load, taking into account the network coverage. An adaptive Gauss-Markov-burst traffic combination model is proposed in the study. In the proposed model, the mobile sinks collect all data in a single-hop communication as soon as they join the coverage intersection points (CIPs) of the CHs. The mobility model utilizes the adaptive minimum-weighted cost of the nodes. Once the burst packets are perceived in a CH, the data packets are backed up on the nearest and highest energy node in the cluster. Then, the mobile sink suddenly updates its trajectory towards the node, including the burst data traffic. Performance analysis of the proposed scheme was performed in NS-2 simulation environment. The most notable of the performance results is that the proposed method increased the network lifetime 42.5% more than any other method and also reduced the control overhead and average mobile path length by 72.5% and 35.9%, respectively. Purpose: This study aimed to review the epidemiological studies on orthopedic traumatology and the Chinese experience in large volume databases of fractures., Methods: Review of international and Chinese literature., Results: Traumatic fractures are associated with high risks of death and disability worldwide, thus increasing financial burden on affected families and society. In the current study, epidemiological surveys on fractures around the world were reviewed to explore distribution and types of fractures in different populations. Different populations exhibit heterogeneity in the type, incidence of traumatic fractures, and the underlying causes and severity of fractures. Fracture epidemiology has strengthened clinical practice and increased understanding of the causes and patterns of fracture occurrence. Fracture and trauma epidemiological studies provide findings for use in public health education and data that can be used to develop targeted prevention intervention strategies by health departments., Conclusion: The current study summarized the worldwide epidemiological studies on orthopedic traumatology. To collect data efficiently and reliably in Mobile Crowd Sensing (MCS), a Participant Service Ability Aware (PSAA) data collecting mechanism is proposed. First, participants select the best sensing task according to the task complexity and desired reward in the multitasking scenario. Second, the Stackelberg Game model is established based on the mutual choice of participants and platform to maximize their utilities to evaluate the service ability of participants. Finally, participants transmit data to platform directly or indirectly through the best relay and the sensing data from the participants with better service ability is selected to complete sensing tasks accurately and efficiently with the minimum overall reward expense. The numerical results show that the proposed data collection mechanism can maximize the utility of participants and platform, efficiently accomplish sensing tasks and significantly reduce the overall reward expense.
