Lately, a new class of nanofluids, namely hybrid nanofluids, has been introduced that performs much better compared with the nanofluids when a healthier heat transfer rate is the objective of the study. Heading in the same direction, the present investigation accentuates the unsteady hybrid nanofluid flow involving CuO , Al 2 O 3 / C 2 H 6 O 2 achieved by an oscillating disk immersed in the porous media. In a study of the homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions, the surface catalyzed reaction was also considered to minimize the reaction time. The shape factors of the nanoparticles were also taken into account, as these play a vital role in assessing the thermal conductivity and heat transfer rate of the system. The assumed model is presented mathematically in the form of partial differential equations. The system is transformed by invoking special similarity transformations. The Keller Box scheme was used to obtain numerical and graphical results. It is inferred that the blade-shaped nanoparticles have the best thermal conductivity that boosts the heat transfer efficiency. The oscillation and surface-catalyzed chemical reactions have opposite impacts on the concentration profile. This analysis also includes a comparison of the proposed model with a published result in a limiting case to check the authenticity of the presented model.

The present investigation involves the Hall current effects past a low oscillating stretchable rotating disk with Joule heating and the viscous dissipation impacts on a Ferro-nanofluid flow. The entropy generation analysis is carried out to study the impact of rotational viscosity by applying a low oscillating magnetic field. The model gives the continuity, momentum, temperature, magnetization, and rotational partial differential equations. These equations are transformed into the ODEs and solved by using bvp4c MATLAB. The graphical representation of arising parameters such as effective magnetization and nanoparticle concentration on thermal profile, velocity profile, and rate of disorder along with Bejan number is presented. Drag force and the heat transfer rate are given in the tabular form. It is comprehended that for increasing nanoparticle volume fraction and magnetization parameter, the radial, and tangential velocity reduce while thermal profile surges. The nanofluids owing to their alluring attributes like enhanced thermal conductivity and better heat transfer characteristics have a vast variety of applications ranging from space technology to nuclear reactors etc. The present study highlights the Ostwald-de-Waele nanofluid flow past a rotating disk of variable thickness in a porous medium with a melting heat transfer phenomenon. The surface catalyzed reaction is added to the homogeneous-heterogeneous reaction that triggers the rate of the chemical reaction. The added feature of the variable thermal conductivity and the viscosity instead of their constant values also boosts the novelty of the undertaken problem. The modeled problem is erected in the form of a system of partial differential equations. Engaging similarity transformation, the set of ordinary differential equations are obtained. The coupled equations are numerically solved by using the bvp4c built-in MATLAB function. The drag coefficient and Nusselt number are plotted for arising parameters. The results revealed that increasing surface catalyzed parameter causes a decline in thermal profile more efficiently. Further, the power-law index is more influential than the variable thickness disk index. The numerical results show that variations in dimensionless thickness coefficient do not make any effect. The present study examines homogeneous (HOM)-heterogeneous (HET) reaction in magnetohydrodynamic flow through a porous media on the surface of a rotating disk. Preceding investigations mainly concentrated on the catalysis for the rotating disk; we modeled the impact of HET catalysis in a permeable media over a rotating disk with slip condition at the boundary. The HOM reaction is followed by isothermal cubic autocatalysis, however, the HET reactions occur on the surface governed by first-order kinetics. Additionally, entropy minimization analysis is also conducted for the envisioned mathematical model. The similarity transformations are employed to convert the envisaged model into a non-dimensional form. The system of the modeled problem with ordinary differential equations is analyzed numerically by using MATLAB built-in bvp4c function. The behavior of the emerging parameters versus the thermal, concentration, and velocity distributions are depicted graphically with requisite discussion abiding the thumb rules. It is learned that the rate of the surface catalyzed reaction is strengthened if the interfacial area of the permeable media is enhanced. Thus, a spongy medium can significantly curtail the reaction time. It is also noticed that the amplitude of velocity and thermal profile is maximum for the smallest value of the velocity slip parameter. Heat transfer rate declines for thermophoresis and the Brownian motion parameter with respect to the thermal slip parameter. The cogency of the developed model is also validated by making a comparison of the existing results with a published article under some constraints. Excellent harmony between the two results is noted.

The remarkable aspects of carbon nanotubes like featherweight, durability, exceptional electrical and thermal conduction capabilities, and physicochemical stability make them desirous materials for electrochemical devices. Having such astonishing characteristics of nanotubes in mind our aspiration is to examine the squeezing three dimensional Darcy-Forchheimer hydromagnetic nanofluid thin-film flow amid two rotating disks with suspended multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) submerged into the base fluid water. The analysis is done by invoking partial slip effect at the boundary in attendance of autocatalytic reactions. The mathematical model consists of axial and azimuthal momentum and magnetic fields respectively. The tangential and axial velocity profiles and components of the magnetic field are examined numerically by employing the bvp4c method for varying magnetic, rotational, and squeezing Reynolds number. The torque effect near the upper and lower disks are studied critically using their graphical depiction. The values of the torque at the upper and lower disks are obtained for rotational and squeezed Reynolds numbers and are found in an excellent concurrence when compared with the existing literature. Numerically it is computed that the torque at the lower disk is higher in comparison to the upper disk for mounting estimates of the squeezed Reynolds number and the dimensionless parameter for magnetic force in an axial direction. From the graphical illustrations, it is learned that thermal profile declines for increasing values of the squeezed Reynolds number.
