- Abstract
Undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma (UPS) previously called as malignant fibrous histiocytoma comprises a group of high-grade pleomorphic sarcomas that cannot be otherwise classified and considered as a diagnosis of exclusion. In the head neck region, UPS is extremely rare and accounts for 3% of all the undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcomas. Some of the reported sites include maxilla, mandible, buccal mucosa, temperomandibular fossa, tongue, gingiva, paranasal sinuses, salivary glands, and retro-orbital soft tissue. Undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma of the floor of the mouth is very rare. To our knowledge, only one case has been reported earlier. We report the second case of undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma of the floor of mouth., Competing Interests: There are no conflicts of interest., (Copyright: © 2023 Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.)
