The prolonged period of low temperatures in northern China poses a significant challenge to the bioremediation of antibiotic pollution. This study reports that a white-rot fungus Bjerkandera adusta DH0817, isolated from a poultry farm in Liaoning Province, can remove 60 % of SDZ within 20 days at 10°C and reduce the biotoxicity of SDZ. Six degradation pathways were proposed. SDZ biodegradation was primarily driven by cytochrome P450. Transcriptome analysis revealed that DH0817 upregulated genes associated with cell membrane, transcription factors and soluble sugars in response to low temperatures. Subsequently, genes associated with fatty acid, proteins and enzymes were upregulated to remove SDZ at low temperatures. Skin-interfaced microfluidic patch has become a reliable device for sweat collection and analysis. However, the intractable problems of emptying the microchannel for reuse, and the channel's volumetric capacity limited by the size of the patch, directly hinder the practical application of sweat sensors. Herein, we report an adaptively resettable microfluidic sweat patch (Art-Sweat patch) capable of continuously monitoring both sweat rate (0.2-4.0 μL min - 1 ) and total ionic charge concentration (10-200 mmol L -1 ). We develop a platform with a vertical and horizontal microchannel combined strategy, enabling repeatedly filling sweat and emptying the microchannel for autonomously resetting and detecting. The variation in the emptied volume is designed to be adaptively identified by the sensor, resulting in enhanced stability and an enlarged volumetric capacity of over 300 μL. Background: Glioblastoma is the most malignant and prevalent primary human brain tumor, and the immunological microenvironment controlled by glioma stem cells is one of the essential elements contributing to its malignancy. The use of medications to ameliorate the tumor microenvironment may give a new approach for glioma treatment., Methods: Glioma stem cells were separated from clinical patient-derived glioma samples for molecular research. Other studies, including CCK8, EdU, Transwell, and others, supported luteolin's ability to treat glioma progenitor cells. Network pharmacology and molecular docking models were used to study the drug target, and qRT-PCR, WB, and IF were used to evaluate the molecular mechanism. Intracranial xenografts were examined using HE and IHC, while macrophage polarization was examined using FC., Results: We originally discovered that luteolin inhibits glioma stem cells. IL6 released by glioma stem cells is blocked during medication action and inhibits glioma stem cell proliferation and invasion via the IL6/STAT3 signaling pathway. Additionally, luteolin inhibits the secretion of TGFβ1, affects the polarization function of macrophages in the microenvironment, inhibits the polarization of M2 macrophages in TAM, and further inhibits various functions of glioma stem cells by affecting the IL6/STAT3 signaling pathway, luteolin crosstalk TGFβ1/SMAD3 signaling pathway, and so on., Conclusions: Through the suppression of the immunological microenvironment and inhibition of the IL6/STAT3 signaling pathway, our study determined the inhibitory effect of luteolin on glioma stem cells. The incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has continued to increase annually worldwide, and HCC has become a common cause of cancer-related death. Despite great progress in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying HCC development, the treatment of HCC remains a considerable challenge. Thus, the survival and prognosis of HCC patients remain extremely poor. In recent years, the role of ion channels in the pathogenesis of diseases has become a hot topic. In normal liver tissue, ion channels and transporters maintain water and electrolyte balance and acid‒base homeostasis. However, dysfunction of these ion channels and transporters can lead to the development and progression of HCC, and thus these ion channels and transporters are expected to become new therapeutic targets. Glioblastoma (GBM) cells exhibit aberrant proliferative abilities and resistance to conventional therapies. However, the mechanisms underlying these malignant phenotypes are poorly understood. In this study, we identified ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2D1 (UBE2D1) as a crucial stimulator of GBM development. It is highly expressed in GBM and closely associated with poor prognosis in patients with GBM. UBE2D1 knockdown inhibits GBM cell growth and leads to G1 cell cycle arrest. Mechanistically, UBCH5A binds to p21 at the protein level and induces the ubiquitination and degradation of p21. This negative regulation is mediated by STUB1. Lactate is a byproduct of glycolysis, and before the Warburg effect was revealed (in which glucose can be fermented in the presence of oxygen to produce lactate) it was considered a metabolic waste product. At present, lactate is not only recognized as a metabolic substrate that provides energy, but also as a signaling molecule that regulates cellular functions under pathophysiological conditions. Lactylation, a post‑translational modification, is involved in the development of various diseases, including inflammation and tumors. Liver disease is a major health challenge worldwide. In normal liver, there is a net lactate uptake caused by gluconeogenesis, exhibiting a higher net lactate clearance rate compared with any other organ. Therefore, abnormalities of lactate and lactate metabolism lead to the development of liver disease, and lactate and lactate metabolism‑related genes can be used for predicting the prognosis of liver disease. Targeting lactate production, regulating lactate transport and modulating lactylation may be potential treatment approaches for liver disease. However, currently there is not a systematic review that summarizes the role of lactate and lactate metabolism in liver diseases. In the present review, the role of lactate and lactate metabolism in liver diseases including liver fibrosis, non‑alcoholic fatty liver disease, acute liver failure and hepatocellular carcinoma was summarized with the aim to provide insights for future research.

Background: The utilization of Chinese medicine as an adjunctive therapy for cancer has recently gained significant attention. Ferroptosis, a newly regulated cell death process depending on the ferrous ions, has been proved to be participated in glioma stem cells inactivation., Purpose: We aim to study whether ginsenoside Rg5 exerted inhibitory effects on crucial aspects of glioma stem cells, including cell viability, tumor initiation, invasion, self-renewal ability, neurosphere formation, and stemness., Methods: Through comprehensive sequencing analysis, we identified a compelling association between ginsenoside Rg5 and the ferroptosis pathway, which was further validated through subsequent experiments demonstrating its ability to activate this pathway., Results: To elucidate the precise molecular targets affected by ginsenoside Rg5 in gliomas, we conducted an intersection analysis between differentially expressed genes obtained from sequencing and a database-predicted list of transcription factors and potential targets of ginsenoside Rg5. This rigorous approach led us to unequivocally confirm NR3C1 (Nuclear Receptor Subfamily 3 Group C Member 1) as a direct target of ginsenoside Rg5, a finding consistently supported by subsequent experimental investigations. Moreover, we uncovered NR3C1's capacity to transcriptionally regulate ferroptosis -related genes HSPB1 and NCOA4. Strikingly, ginsenoside Rg5 induced notable alterations in the expression levels of both HSPB1 (Heat Shock Protein Family B Member 1) and NCOA4 (Nuclear Receptor Coactivator 4). Finally, our intracranial xenograft assays served to reaffirm the inhibitory effect of ginsenoside Rg5 on the malignant progression of glioblastoma., Conclusion: These collective findings strongly suggest that ginsenoside Rg5 hampers glioblastoma progression by activating ferroptosis through NR3C1, which subsequently modulates HSPB1 and NCOA4. Designing and developing suitable oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts with high activity and stability remain challenging in electrolytic water splitting. Hence, NiFe@NC@MoS 2 core-bishell composites wrapped by molybdenum disulphide (MoS 2 ) and nitrogen-doped graphene (NC) were prepared using hydrothermal synthesis in this research. NiFe@NC@MoS 2 composite exhibits excellent performance with an overpotential of 288 mV and a Tafel slope of 53.2 mV·dec -1 at a current density of 10 mA·cm -2 in 1 M KOH solution, which is superior to commercial RuO 2 . NC and MoS 2 bishells create profuse edge active sites that enhance the adsorption ability of OOH* while lowering the overall overpotential of the product and improving its oxygen precipitation performance. The density function theory(DFT) analysis confirms that the layered MoS 2 in NiFe@NC@MoS 2 provides additional edge active sites and enhances electron transfer, thus increasing the intrinsic catalytic activity. The shortage and unevenness of fossil energy sources are affecting the development and progress of human civilization. The technology of efficiently converting material resources into energy for utilization and storage is attracting the attention of researchers. Environmentally friendly biomass materials are a treasure to drive the development of new-generation energy sources. Electrochemical theory is used to efficiently convert the chemical energy of chemical substances into electrical energy. In recent years, significant progress has been made in the development of green and economical electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). Although many reviews have been reported around the application of biomass-derived catalytically active carbon (CAC) catalysts in ORR, these reviews have only selected a single/partial topic (including synthesis and preparation of catalysts from different sources, structural optimization, or performance enhancement methods based on CAC catalysts, and application of biomass-derived CACs) for discussion. There is no review that systematically addresses the latest progress in the synthesis, performance enhancement, and applications related to biomass-derived CAC-based oxygen reduction electrocatalysts synchronously. This review fills the gap by providing a timely and comprehensive review and summary from the following sections: the exposition of the basic catalytic principles of ORR, the summary of the chemical composition and structural properties of various types of biomass, the analysis of traditional and the latest popular biomass-derived CAC synthesis methods and optimization strategies, and the summary of the practical applications of biomass-derived CAC-based oxidative reduction electrocatalysts. This review provides a comprehensive summary of the latest advances to provide research directions and design ideas for the development of catalyst synthesis/optimization and contributes to the industrialization of biomass-derived CAC electrocatalysis and electric energy storage., (© 2024 The Authors. The field of molecular assembly has seen remarkable advancements across various domains, such as materials science, nanotechnology, and biomedicine. Small gas molecules serve as pivotal modulators, capable of altering the architecture of assemblies via tuning a spectrum of intermolecular forces including hydrogen bonding, dipole-dipole interactions, and metal coordination. Surface techniques, notably scanning tunneling microscopy and atomic force microscopy, have proven instrumental in dissecting the structural metamorphosis and characteristic features of these assemblies at an unparalleled single-molecule resolution. Recent research has spotlighted two innovative approaches for modulating surface molecular assemblies with the aid of small gas molecules: "catassembly" and "coassembly". This Perspective delves into these methodologies through the lens of varying molecular interaction types. The strategies discussed here for regulating molecular assembly structures using small gas molecules can aid in understanding various complex assembly processes and structures and provide guidance for the further fabrication of complex surface structures.

Objectives: Scoliosis associated with spondylolisthesis is a common phenomenon. Recent research has reported that scoliosis can spontaneously disappear after lumbar spinal fusion surgery. Researchers have advocated that, for scoliosis associated with vertebral slippage, surgery for the latter may be the only necessary intervention, while unnecessary surgery for scoliosis should be avoided. So we propose that minimally invasive techniques can achieve treatment effects similar to those of open surgery. Therefore, in this study, we aimed to investigate the clinical efficacy of unilateral dual-channel endoscopic lumbar interbody fusion (ULIF) for treating lumbar spondylolisthesis with spinal scoliosis., Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis and spinal scoliosis who underwent ULIF between September 2021 and September 2023. Measurements of the Cobb angle, lumbar lordosis (LL) angle, sacral slope (SS), slip percentage (SP), slip angle (SA), L1 plumb line-S1 distance (LASD), and average intervertebral height (AIH) were taken preoperatively, immediately following surgery, 3 months after surgery, and at the final follow-up. The visual analogue scale (VAS), Oswestry disability index (ODI), and Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) scoring systems were used to assess clinical results. The surgical efficacy was evaluated by comparing these parameters before and after surgery. Comparison of indicators within the same group was conducted using one-way repeated-measures analysis of variance or paired sample t-tests, whereas between-group differences were compared using an independent t-test., Results: This study included 31 individuals who underwent surgery and completed follow-up. The follow-up period did not show a significant loss of corrective angles. Furthermore, the Cobb angle, SP, SA, and LASD significantly decreased after surgery, whereas the LL angle, SS, and AIH significantly increased (all p < 0.05). SP did not differ between the immediate postoperative period and the 3-month and final follow-up periods (p > 0.05). However, other parameters significantly improved during the follow-up period at all time points, except from 3 months to the final follow-up period (p > 0.05). Throughout the follow-up period, the lower back and leg pain VAS, ODI, and JOA scores considerably improved compared with the preoperative levels (p < 0.05)., Conclusion: ULIF effectively treated lumbar spondylolisthesis with scoliosis, thereby reducing the degree of slip and scoliosis. By performing surgical reduction, fusion, and fixation only on the slipped segment, ULIF also had a corrective effect on the spinal lateral curvature, thereby avoiding the need for unnecessary scoliosis surgery. Graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) are promising in nanoelectronics for their quasi-1D structures with tunable bandgaps. The methods for controllable fabrication of high-quality GNRs are still limited. Here a way to generate sub-5-nm GNRs by annealing single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) on Cu(111) is demonstrated. The structural evolution process is characterized by low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy. Objective: To summarize and analyze the effect of facial nerve decompression surgery for the treatment of Bell's palsy and Hunt syndrome. Methods: The clinical data of 65 patients with facial nerve palsy who underwent facial nerve decompression in our center from October 2015 to October 2022 were retrospectively analyzed, including 54 patients with Bell's palsy and 11 patients with Hunter syndrome. The degree of facial paralysis（HB grade） was evaluated before surgery, and ENoG, pure tone audiometry, temporal bone CT and other examinations were completed. All patients had facial palsy with HB grade V or above after conservative treatment for at least 1 month, and ENoG decreased by more than 90%. All patients underwent facial nerve decompression surgery through the transmastoid approach within 3 months after onset of symptoms. The recovery effect of facial nerve function after surgery in patients with Bell's palsy and Hunter syndrome was summarized and analyzed. In addition, 15 cases in group A（operated within 30-60 days after onset） and 50 cases in group B（operated within 61-90 days after onset） were grouped according to the course of the disease（the interval between onset of symptoms and surgery） to explore the effect of surgical timing on postoperative effect. Results: There was no significant difference between the two groups of patients with Chi-square test（ P =0.54） in 42 patients（77.8%, 42/54） with Bell's palsy and 7 patients（63.6%, 7/11） in patients with Hunter syndrome who recovered to grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ. According to the course of the disease, 10 cases（66.7%, 10/15） in group A recovered to grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ after surgery. In group B, 39 patients（78.0%, 39/50） recovered to grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ after surgery, and there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups by Chi-square test（ P =0.58）. Liver diseases include all types of viral hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease (ALD), nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), cirrhosis, liver failure (LF) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Liver disease is now one of the leading causes of disease and death worldwide, which compels us to better understand the mechanisms involved in the development of liver diseases. Anoctamin 1 (ANO1), a calcium-activated chloride channel (CaCC), plays an important role in epithelial cell secretion, proliferation and migration. ANO1 plays a key role in transcriptional regulation as well as in many signalling pathways. It is involved in the genesis, development, progression and/or metastasis of several tumours and other diseases including liver diseases. This paper reviews the role and molecular mechanisms of ANO1 in the development of various liver diseases, aiming to provide a reference for further research on the role of ANO1 in liver diseases and to contribute to the improvement of therapeutic strategies for liver diseases by regulating ANO1., (© 2024 The Authors. Background: Herpes zoster (HZ) is a common medical condition accompanied by several distressing symptoms, including acute pain. Pien Tze Huang (PZH) is a well-known traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with numerous pharmacological effects, including antiviral properties, neuroprotection, and immunity regulation., Purpose: To investigate the efficacy and safety of PZH capsules in patients with HZ., Study Design: A multicenter, double-blinded, randomized, and placebo-controlled trial from 8 hospitals in 5 cities of China., Methods: Eligible participants were randomly assigned to the PZH capsule and placebo group at a 1:1 ratio. Treatment was conducted for 14 days with a window period of no more than 2 days. For the first 7 days, participants received antiviral drugs combined with PZH capsules (0.6 g/time, 3 times a day) or placebos. For the remaining 7 days, they were only treated with PZH capsules (0.6 g/time, 3 times a day) or placebos., Results: We included 222 patients in the full analysis set (FAS), and 187 patients in the per protocol set (PPS). The change of numeric rating scale pain scores from baseline to the seventh day (±1 day) after treatment in the PZH capsule group was statistically superior to the placebo group (FAS: 2.33 vs. 1.71, 97.5%CI: 0.03 ∼ 1.19; PPS: 2.29 vs. 1.51, 97.5%CI: 0.18 ∼ 1.38). In the PPS, there was a significant difference in the time (days) of pain relief between the placebo group and the PZH capsule group (Mean (SD): 5.71 (3.76) vs. 4.69 (3.57), p = 0.046). On the seventh day (±1 day) after treatment, the level of CD8+ cells in the PZH capsule group were higher than those of the placebo group (FAS: Mean (SD): 24.08 (6.81) vs. 21.93 (8.19), p = 0.007; PPS: Mean (SD): 24.26 (6.93) vs. 22.15 (8.51), p = 0.012). The level of cytotoxic lymphocyte cells found similar results on the seventh day (±1 day) (FAS: Mean (SD): 12.17 (4.65) vs. 10.55 (4.15), p = 0.018; PPS: Mean (SD): 12.25 (4.65) vs. 10.11 (3.93), p = 0.002). No serious adverse events were noted and PZH capsules were well tolerated., Conclusion: PZH capsules confer therapeutic effects on HZ with the TCM symptom of stagnated heat of liver channel by substantially reducing the pain intensity, shortening the time of pain relief as well as regulating the immune function. Electrons not only serve as a "reactant" in redox reactions but also play a role in "catalyzing" some chemical processes. Despite the significance and ubiquitousness of electron-induced chemistry, many related scientific issues still await further exploration, among which is the impact of molecular assembly. In this work, microscopic insights into the vital role of molecular assembly in tweaking the electron-induced surface chemistry are unfolded by combined scanning tunneling microscopy and density functional theory studies. It is shown that the selective dissociation of a C-Cl bond in 4,4″-dichloro-1,1':3',1''-terphenyl (DCTP) on Cu(111) can be efficiently triggered by an electron injection via the STM tip into the unoccupied molecular orbital. The DCTP molecules are embedded in different assembly structures, including its self-assembly and coassemblies with Br adatoms. The energy threshold for the C-Cl bond cleavage increases as more Br adatoms stay close to the molecule, indicative of the sensitive response of the electron-induced surface reactivity of the C-Cl bond to the subtle change in the molecular assembly. Such a phenomenon is rationalized by the energy shift of the involved unoccupied molecular orbital of DCTP that is embedded in different assemblies. These findings shed new light on the tuning effect of molecular assembly on electron-induced reactions and introduce an efficient approach to precisely steer surface chemistry.

Hydrogen generation from boron hydride is important for the development of hydrogen economy. Cobalt (Co) element has been widely used in the hydrolysis of boron hydride. Pyrolysis is a common method for materials synthesis in catalytic fields. Herein, Co-based nanocomposites derived from the pyrolysis of organic metal precursors and used for hydrolysis of boron hydride are summarized and discussed. The different precursors consisting of MOF, supported, metal, and metal phosphide precursors are summarized. The catalytic mechanism consisting of dissociation mechanism based on oxidative addition-reduction elimination, pre-activation mechanism, SN2 mechanism, four-membered ring mechanism, and acid-base mechanism is intensively discussed. Finally, conclusions and outlooks are conveyed from the design of high-efficiency catalysts, the characterization of catalyst structure, the enhancement of catalytic activities, the investigation of the catalytic mechanism, and the catalytic stability of active structure. The evaporation-induced hydrovoltaic effect based on ion-selective nanochannels can theoretically be employed for high-performance ion sensing; yet, the indeterminate ion-sensing properties and the acquisition of high sensing performance are rarely explored. Herein, a controllable nanochannel regulation strategy for flexible hydrovoltaic devices with highly sensitive ion-sensing abilities is presented across a wide concentration range. By multiple dip-coating of silk fibroin (SF) on an electrospinning nylon-66 nanofiber (NNF) film, the surface polarity enhancement, the fibers size regulation with a precision of ≈25 nm, and the nanostructure firm binding are achieved simultaneously. The resultant flexible freestanding hydrovoltaic device exhibits an open circuit voltage up to 4.82 V in deionized water, a wide ion sensing range of 10 -7 to 10 0  m, and ultrahigh sensitivity as high as 1.37 V dec -1 , which is significantly higher than the sensitivity of the traditional solid-contact ion-selective electrodes (SC-ISEs). The fabricated flexible ion-sensitive hydrovoltaic device is successfully applied for wearable human sweat electrolyte sensing and for environmental trace-ion monitoring, thereby confirming the potential application of the hydrovoltaic effect for ion sensing., (© 2024 Wiley‐VCH GmbH.)

Furthermore, the aberrant IDO1 expression was connected to the TMB, MSI, MMR, drug sensitivity, immune cells infiltrating, and tumor immune microenvironment across a variety of cancer types. Ethylene thiourea (ETU) converted from ethylene bisdithiocarbamate (EBDC) fungicides has aroused great concern because of its prevalence and harmful effects. Although ETU-induced neurotoxicity has been reported, the potential mechanisms remain unclear. This study provided insights into its neurotoxic effects at environmentally relevant concentrations in zebrafish. Our findings showed that embryonic exposure to ETU decreased the hatch rate and delayed somite development. Furthermore, ETU treatment significantly reduced the dark velocity in the locomotion assay. The upregulated tendency of the mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK) pathway (mknk1, atf4, mapkapk3) screened by transcriptome analysis implied motor neuron degeneration, which was validated by subsequent morphological observation, as axon length and branches were truncated in the 62.5 µg/L ETU group. However, although the rescue experiment with a p38 MAPK inhibitor (SB203580) successfully ameliorated axon degeneration, it failed to reverse the locomotion behaviors. Further exploration of transcriptome data revealed the varied expression of presynaptic scaffold protein-related genes (pcloa, pclob, bsna), whose downregulation might impair the neuromuscular junction (NMJ). Therefore, we reasonably suspected that ETU-induced neurobehavioral deficits might result from the combined effects of the MAPK pathway and presynaptic proteins. Objectives: The aim of this study was to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the literature on stem cell treatment for spinal cord injury to gain an intuitive understanding of how the field is progressing, discover topics of interest, and determine what development trends are emerging in this field. Background: Spinal cord injury and its complications often cause an enormous economic burden, and postinjury repair and treatment have always been challenging in clinical and scientific research. Stem cell therapy for spinal cord injury can prevent immune rejection and induce the release of neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory factors to reduce the production of stress-related proteins, reactive oxygen species, and inflammatory reactions. Methods: We analyzed the number and quality of publications in the field of stem cell therapy in spinal cord injury between 2018.01.01 and 2023.06.30 in the core collection database of Web of Science. CiteSpace and VOSviewer were used to sort and summarize these studies by country, institution, authors' publications, and collaborative networks. In addition, the research topics of interest were identified and summarized. Results: This study ultimately included 2,150 valid papers, with the number of publications showing a gradual upward trend. The country, institution, author and journal with the greatest number of publications and citations are China, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dai JW, and the International Journal of Molecular Sciences, respectively. The top three high-frequency keyword clusters were hereditary paraplegia, reactive astrocytes and tissue engineering. Conclusion: With the help of visual analysis, we identified general trends and research topics of interest in the field of spinal cord injury over the last 5 years. Our findings suggest that stem cell transplantation for spinal cord injury and exosome therapy may be a focus of future research. Hyperproteinemia is a serious metabolic disease of both humans and animals characterized by an abnormally high plasma protein concentration (HPPC). Although hyperproteinemia can cause an imbalance in blood cell homeostasis, the functional changes to blood cells remain unclear. Here, a HPPC silkworm model was used to assess changes to the chromatin accessibility and transcript levels of genes related to blood cell metabolism and immune function. The results showed that HPPC enhanced phagocytosis of blood cells, increased chromatin accessibility and transcript levels of genes involved in cell phagocytosis, proliferation, stress, and programmed death, while genes associated with aromatic amino acid metabolism, and antibacterial peptide synthesis were inhibited in blood cells. Further analysis of the chromatin accessibility of the promoter region found that the high chromatin accessibility of genes sensitive to HPPC, was related to histone modifications, including tri-methylation of lysine residue 4 of histone H3 and acetylation of lysine residue 27 of histone H3. Earthworms accumulate organic pollutants to form earthworm tissue-bound residues (EBRs); however, the composition and fate of EBRs in soil remain largely unknown. Here, we investigated the fate of tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA)-derived EBRs in soil for 250 days using a 14 C-radioactive isotope tracer and the geophagous earthworm Metaphire guillelmi . The EBRs of TBBPA in soil were rapidly transformed into nonextractable residues (NERs), mainly in the form of sequestered and ester-linked residues. After 250 days of incubation, 4.9% of the initially applied EBRs were mineralized and 69.3% were released to extractable residues containing TBBPA and its transformation products (TPs, generated mainly via debromination, O -methylation, and skeletal cleavage). Soil microbial activity and autolytic enzymes of earthworms jointly contributed to the release process. In their full-life period, the earthworms overall retained 24.1% TBBPA and its TPs in soil and thus prolonged the persistence of these pollutants. Our study explored, for the first time, the composition and fate of organic pollutant-derived EBRs in soil and indicated that the decomposition of earthworms may release pollutants and cause potential environmental risks of concern, which should be included in both environmental risk assessment and soil remediation using earthworms.

Background: Endometrial carcinoma ranks as the second most widespread malignancy affecting the reproductive system in females. Effective prognostic biomarkers are required to further improve survival rates for patients. Single-minded homolog 2 (SIM2) is known to participate in neurogenesis as a transcription factor. However, the potential role of SIM2 in endometrial carcinoma remains elusive., Methods: Multiple public databases, including TIMER2.0, GEIPA2, UALCAN, LinkedOmics, BioGRID, DAVID and cBioPortal, were used to investigate SIM2 mRNA expression, SIM2-associated genes, PPI network, functional enrichment analysis, SIM2 gene alterations and methylation. The association between SIM2 expression and immune cell infiltrates was explored using GSVA. The effects of gene alterations and methylation on patient survival and CD8+T infiltration were examined using GSCA. Moreover, the prognostic potential of SIM2 was evaluated using COX regression, ROC curves and a nomogram model. Finally, the differential expression and function of SIM2 in UCEC were explored using qPCR, WB, CCK8 and Transwell assays., Results: Our findings revealed the heightened expression of SIM2 in endometrial carcinoma, and that its DNA methylation and CNV alterations were correlated with immune infiltration and patients' prognosis. Background: Tolvaptan, a selective vasopressin V 2 -receptor antagonist, can elicit a diuretic effect without significant electrolyte loss. The aims were to evaluate multiple-dose pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and safety of daily administration of 15 mg tolvaptan in Chinese adult patients with confirmed Child-Pugh Class B cirrhosis accompanied by ascites. Methods: This was an open-label, single-center, single- and multiple-dose study. All patients received a daily 15 mg dose of tolvaptan for 7 consecutive days. The plasma concentrations of tolvaptan and its two metabolites (DM-4103, DM-4107) were measured using high-performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS). In addition, various pharmacokinetics parameters were calculated. The pharmacodynamic outcomes evaluated changes in serum sodium and potassium concentrations, daily urine volume, daily water consumption, fluid balance and body weight. Safety profiles, including the incidence of treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAEs), were carefully recorded. Results: Eleven patients with Child-Pugh B cirrhosis were eventually enrolled in the study. Plasma concentrations of tolvaptan and DM-4107 reached steady-states after 7 days of consecutive oral administration. No accumulation of tolvaptan or DM-4107 was found, but DM-4103 accumulated 18.2-fold after multiple-dosing. The daily urine volume and daily water consumption were statistically significantly increased after administration of tolvaptan from Day 1 to Day 7 (all p < 0.05), accompanied by an increased serum sodium concentration. Of 11 patients, 9 (81.8%) reported 20 TEAEs, with the majority being mild to moderate in severity. The most commonly occurring TEAEs were thirst (45.5%), pollakiuria (36.4%) and dry mouth (27.3%). Conclusion: Tolvaptan at a daily dose of 15 mg had a diuretic effect but did not increase serum sodium excretion or lead to tolvaptan accumulation. It is therefore can be safely used for short-term treatment of Chinese adult patients with confirmed Child-Pugh B cirrhosis. Keen desires for artificial mimicry of biological polymers and property improvement of synthesized ones have triggered intensive explorations for sequence-controlled copolymerization. Here, sequence-controlled alternating copolymerization with molecular precision is realized on surface. The stoichiometric control serves as a thermodynamic strategy to steer the polymerization selectivity, which enables the selective alternating organometallic copolymerization via intermolecular metalation of 4,4"-dibromo-p-terphenyl (P-Br) and 2,5-diethynyl-1,4-bis(phenylethynyl)benzene (A-H) with Ag adatoms on Ag(111) at P-Br: A-H = 2, as verified by scanning tunneling microscopy and density functional theory studies. Objective: PD-L1, a target of immune checkpoint blockade, has been proven to take the role of an oncogene in most human tumors. However, the role of PD-L1 in human pan-cancers has not yet been fully investigated., Materials and Methods: Pan-cancer analysis was conducted to analyze expression, genetic alterations, prognosis analysis, and immunological characteristics of PD-L1. Estimating the correlation between PD-L1 expression and survival involved using pooled odds ratios and hazard ratios with 95% CI. The Kaplan-Meier (K-M) technique, COX analysis, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were applied to the survival analysis. Additionally, we investigated the relationships between PD-L1 and microsatellite instability (MSI), tumor mutational burden (TMB), DNA methyltransferases (DNMTs), the associated genes of mismatch repair (MMR), and immune checkpoint biomarkers using Spearman's correlation analysis. Also, immunohistochemical analysis and qRT-PCR were employed in evaluating PD-L1's protein and mRNA expression in pan-caner., Results: PD-L1 showed abnormal mRNA and protein expression in a variety of cancers and predicted prognosis in cancer patients. Background: CD27 is an immunological checkpoint gene, plays a critical function inInhibition or activation of cancer immunity. The CD27 / CD27L axis is its pathway of action. Therefore, our goal was to examine the predictive role of CD27 in the clinical prognosis of 33 cancer types and its functions in cancer progression, as well as explore the link between pan-cancer CD27 gene expression and immune infiltration. Methods: By comprehensive use of datasets and methods from TCGA, cBioPortal, GTEx, HPA, KM-plotter, Spearman, CellMinerTM, R packages and RT-qPCR, we delved deeper into the potential impact of the CD27 on cancer development. These include expression differences, immune infiltration, matrix infiltration, gene mutations, DNA methylation, signaling pathways, TMB, MSI, and prognosis. Also, we explored CD27 interactions with different drugs. Results: The results showed that, mutated CD27 was highly expressed in most cancers. The CD27 showed strong diagnostic value in 4 cancers and marked a positive prognosis for CESC, intracervical adenocarcinoma, HNSC, and endometrial cancer, and a poor prognosis for UVM. In addition, CD27 affects multiple immune and inflammatory signaling pathways and is positively correlated with immune cell infiltration, T cell differentiation, macrophage M1 polarization, stromal infiltration, and drug sensitivity. DNA methylation is involved in CD27 expression in cancer. Mitochondrial stress and endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) are known to be closely linked. ATF5 is a key regulator of mitochondrial stress and is involved in ERS regulation. Previously, we used a seizure model to demonstrate that ATF5 regulates mitochondrial stress. However, whether ATF5 affects ERS in epilepsy models has yet to be elucidated. In the present study, we investigated the effects of ATF5 on low-magnesium-induced ERS and the potential mechanisms that underlie these effects. We found that lentiviral overexpression of ATF5 significantly improved low-magnesium-induced ERS, as confirmed by the reduced expression levels of GRP78, PERK, ATF4, and CHOP. In addition, ATF5 overexpression reduced reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and elevated superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, thus demonstrating that ATF5 plays a key role in maintaining redox homeostasis. Furthermore, ATF5 overexpression rescued low-magnesium-induced neuronal apoptosis, as evidenced by the reduced expression levels of Cleaved-caspase-3 and Bax, and the restored levels of Bcl2. However, these effects were significantly eliminated by lentiviral transduction with ATF5 interference. In addition, treatment of neurons with the mitochondrial antioxidant mitoquinone attenuated the onset of oxidative stress caused by ATF5 interference, partially restored the effect on ERS, and rescued cells from apoptosis. Introduction: Soil ecosystems are threatened by crude oil contamination, requiring effective microbial remediation. However, our understanding of the key microbial taxa within the community, their interactions impacting crude oil degradation, and the stability of microbial functionality in oil degradation remain limited., Methods: To better understand these key points, we enriched a crude oil-degrading bacterial consortium generation 1 (G1) from contaminated soil and conducted three successive transfer passages (G2, G3, and G4). Integrated Co-occurrence Networks method was used to analyze microbial species correlation with crude oil components across G1-G4., Results and Discussion: In this study, G1 achieved a total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) degradation rate of 32.29% within 10 days. Through three successive transfer passages, G2-G4 consortia were established, resulting in a gradual decrease in TPH degradation to 23.14% at the same time. Specifically, saturated hydrocarbon degradation rates ranged from 18.32% to 14.17% among G1-G4, and only G1 exhibited significant aromatic hydrocarbon degradation (15.59%). Functional annotation based on PICRUSt2 and FAPROTAX showed that functional potential of hydrocarbons degradation diminished across generations. These results demonstrated the functional instability of the bacterial consortium in crude oil degradation. The relative abundance of the Dietzia genus showed the highest positive correlation with the degradation efficiency of TPH and saturated hydrocarbons (19.48, 18.38, p < 0.05, respectively), Bacillus genus demonstrated the highest positive correlation (21.94, p < 0.05) with the efficiency of aromatic hydrocarbon degradation. The key scores of Dietzia genus decreased in successive generations. A significant positive correlation (16.56, p < 0.05) was observed between the Bacillus and Mycetocola genera exclusively in the G1 generation. The decline in crude oil degradation function during transfers was closely related to changes in the relative abundance of key genera such as Dietzia and Bacillus as well as their interactions with other genera including Mycetocola genus. In this study, 14 C-tracers were used to investigate the fate of BPA in flooded soil with or without rice plants during a complete growing period. In flooded soil, the dissipation of BPA (half-life 14.8 d) was accompanied by its mineralization (8.4% of the initially applied radioactivity) and the formation of non-extractable residues (NERs) in amounts (79.5%) similar to that formed under oxic conditions. The growth of rice significantly accelerated the dissipation of BPA in flooded soil, resulting in a reduction in both the half-life (5.6 d) and the amount of NERs (35.8%). Two non-polar metabolites were detected both in unplanted and in rice-planted soil. At rice harvest, 57.1% of the radioactivity had accumulated in rice plants, mainly as NERs (54.2%) rather than as extractable radioactivity (2.7%), and mainly in roots (34.5 ± 1.4%), stems (9.4 ± 1.1%), and leaves (8.8 ± 0.6%), with trace amounts in seeds (3.6 ± 0.3%) and seed shells (0.7 ± 0.05%). Our study thus demonstrates that the oxic-anoxic interface stimulates the dissipation of BPA in flooded soil. Epidermal microfluidic devices are continuously being developed for efficient sweat collection and sweat rate detection. However, most microfluidic designs ignore the use of airtight/adhesive substrate will block the natural perspiration of the covered sweat pores, which will seriously affect normal sweat production and long-term wearable comfort. Herein, we present a Janus textile-embedded microfluidic sensor platform with high breathability and directional sweat permeability for synchronous sweat rate and total electrolyte concentration detection. The device consists of a hollowed-out serpentine microchannel with interdigital electrodes and Janus textile. The dual-mode signal of the sweat rate (0.2-4.0 μL min -1 ) and total ionic charge concentration (10-200 mmol L -1 ) can be obtained synchronously by decoupling conductance step signals generated when sweat flows through alternating interdigitated spokes at equal intervals in the microchannel. Meanwhile, the hollowed-out microchannel structure significantly reduces the coverage area of the sensor on the skin, and the Janus textile-embedded device ensures a comfortable skin/device interface (fewer sweat pores are blocked) and improves breathability (503.15 g m -2 d -1 ) and sweat permeability (directional liquid transportation) during long-term monitoring. The lack of a strong binding mechanism between nanomaterials severely restricts the advantages of the evaporation-driven hydrovoltaic effect in wearable sensing electronics. It is a challenging task to observably improve the mechanical toughness and flexibility of hydrovoltaic devices to match the wearable demand without abandoning the nanostructures and surface function. Here, a flexible tough polyacrylonitrile/alumina (PAN/Al 2 O 3 ) hydrovoltaic coating with both good electricity generation (open-circuit voltage, V oc  ≈ 3.18 V) and sensitive ion sensing (2285 V M -1 for NaCl solutions in 10 -4 to 10 -3  m) capabilities is developed. The porous nanostructure composed of Al 2 O 3 nanoparticles is firmly locked by the strong binding effect of PAN, giving a critical binding force 4 times that of Al 2 O 3 film to easily deal with 9.92 m s -1 strong water-flow impact. Finally, skin-tight and non-contact device structures are proposed to achieve wearable multifunctional self-powered sensing directly using sweat. As the major intracellular anion, chloride plays an important role in maintaining intracellular and extracellular ion homeostasis, osmotic pressure, and cell volume. It has been found that CLIC1 does not only act as an ion channel but also participates in cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, and intracellular oxidation; thus, it participates in the proliferation, invasion, and migration of various tumor cells in various systems throughout the body. A tert -butyl hydroperoxide-promoted oxidative annulation reaction of isatins with 2-(trimethylsilyl)aryl triflates for the convenient synthesis of acridone derivatives has been established. Mechanistic investigation suggested that the reaction may proceed via consecutive Baeyer-Villiger-type rearrangement followed by an intermolecular cyclization. This synthetic approach offers several advantages, including broad substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, and simplicity of operation. Additionally, successful late-stage modification of the obtained compounds was achieved, expanding the application potential of this methodology in organic synthesis.

Glioma is the most common and aggressive primary malignant brain tumor. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) and RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) have been verified to mediate diverse biological behaviors in various human cancers. Therefore, the aim of this study was to explore a novel circRNA termed circGNB1 and elucidate relative molecular mechanism in functional phenotypes, which might be a potential prognostic biomarker and therapeutic approach for glioma. CircGNB1 was upregulated in glioma and closely associated with the low poor prognosis. Functional assays demonstrated that circGNB1 overexpression promoted glioma stem cells (GSCs) viability proliferation, invasion, and neurosphere formation. Mechanistically, circGNB1 upregulated the expression of oncogene XPR1 via sponging miR-515-5p and miR-582-3p. The following experiments proved XPR1 could promote the malignant phenotype of GSCs via upregulating IL6 expression and activating JAK2/STAT3 signaling. Moreover, the RNA binding protein IGF2BP3 could bind to and maintain the stability of circGNB1, thus promoting the effects of circGNB1 on GSCs. Objective: To evaluate the effect of emotional ABC theory on anxiety and depression in young patients with breast cancer., Methods: A total of 200 eligible young patients with breast cancer were randomly divided into control group (N = 100) and experimental group (N = 100). The control group received routine treatment, while the experimental group received emotional ABC theory intervention at the same time., Results: The Self Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self Rating Depression Scale (SDS) scores of the two groups were observed before and after nursing. There was no significant difference between the two groups before nursing ( P > 0.05), but there was significant difference between the two groups after nursing, the control group was significantly higher than the experimental group ( P < 0.05). In this paper, the response characteristics of wave propagation in entangled metallic wire materials (EMWMs) are investigated by acoustic emission. The frequency, amplitude of wave emission, and the pre-compression force of the specimen can be adjusted in the experimental setup. EMWM specimens fabricated from stainless steel wires and with different design parameters are tested in this work. The results show that waves of different amplitudes propagate in EMWMs with approximate linear characteristics and the fluctuation coefficient of wave passing ratios is calculated below 15%. The response spectrum of passing waves shows a distinct single-peak characteristic, with the peak response at approximately 14 kHz. The parameters of pre-compression force, porosity, wire diameter, helix diameter, specimen height, and the layered structure of specimens have no significant effect on the frequency characteristics but moderately affect the wave passing ratios. Notably, EMWMs exhibit a lower wave passing ratio (ranging from 0.01 to 0.18) compared to aluminum alloy and natural rubber. The characteristics of response spectrums can be successfully reproduced by the finite element simulation. This work demonstrates EMWMs' potential as an acoustic frequency vibration isolation material, offering excellent performance and engineering design convenience.

Molecular Sierpiński triangles (STs), a family of elegant and well-known fractals, can be prepared on surfaces with atomic precision. Up to date, several kinds of intermolecular interactions such as hydrogen bond, halogen bond, coordination, and even covalent bond have been employed to construct molecular STs on metal surfaces. Herein a series of defect-free molecular STs have been fabricated via electrostatic attraction between potassium cations and electronically polarized chlorine atoms in 4,4″-dichloro-1,1':3',1″-terphenyl (DCTP) molecules on Cu(111) and Ag(111). The electrostatic interaction is confirmed both experimentally by scanning tunneling microscopy and theoretically by density functional theory calculations. These findings illustrate that electrostatic interaction can serve as an efficient driving force to construct molecular fractals, which enriches our toolbox for the bottom-up fabrication of complex functional supramolecular nanostructures.

Background: Colon cancer (CC) is a prevalent malignant tumor that affects people all around the world. In this study, N6-methylandenosine-related long non-coding RNAs (m6A-related lncRNAs) in 473 colon cancers and 41 adjacent tissues of CC patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) were investigated. Method: The Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to examine the m6A-related lncRNAs, and the univariate Cox regression analysis was performed to screen 38 prognostic m6A-related lncRNAs. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression analysis were carried out on 38 prognostic lncRNAs to develop a 14 m6A-related lncRNAs prognostic signature (m6A-LPS) in CC. The availability of the m6A-LPS was evaluated using the Kaplan-Meier and Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curves. Results: Three m6A modification patterns with significantly different N stages, survival time, and immune landscapes were identified. It has been discovered that the m6A-LPS, which is based on 14 m6A-related lncRNAs ( TNFRSF10A-AS1, AC245041.1, AL513550.1, UTAT33, SNHG26, AC092944.1, ITGB1-DT, AL138921.1, AC099850.3, NCBP2-AS1, AL137782.1, AC073896.3, AP006621.2, AC147651.1 ), may represent a new, promising biomarker with great potential. It was re-evaluated in terms of survival rate, clinical features, tumor infiltration immune cells, biomarkers related to Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors (ICIs), and chemotherapeutic drug efficacy. The m6A-LPS has been revealed to be a novel potential and promising predictor for evaluating the prognosis of CC patients. Background: Ovarian Serous Adenocarcinoma is a malignant tumor originating from epithelial cells and one of the most common causes of death from gynecological cancers. The objective of this study was to develop a prediction model based on extracellular matrix proteins, using artificial intelligence techniques. The model aimed to aid healthcare professionals to predict the overall survival of patients with ovarian cancer (OC) and determine the efficacy of immunotherapy. Methods: The Cancer Genome Atlas Ovarian Cancer (TCGA-OV) data collection was used as the study dataset, whereas the TCGA-Pancancer dataset was used for validation. The prognostic importance of 1068 known extracellular matrix proteins for OC were determined by the Random Forest algorithm and the Lasso algorithm establishing the ECM risk score. Based on the gene expression data, the differences in mRNA abundance, tumour mutation burden (TMB) and tumour microenvironment (TME) between the high- and low-risk groups were assessed. Results: Combining multiple artificial intelligence algorithms we were able to identify 15 key extracellular matrix genes, namely, AMBN, CXCL11, PI3, CSPG5, TGFBI, TLL1, HMCN2, ESM1, IL12A, MMP17, CLEC5A, FREM2, ANGPTL4, PRSS1, FGF23 , and confirm the validity of this ECM risk score for overall survival prediction. Several other parameters were identified as independent prognostic factors for OC by multivariate COX analysis. The analysis showed that thyroglobulin (TG) targeted immunotherapy was more effective in the high ECM risk score group, while the low ECM risk score group was more sensitive to the RYR2 gene-related immunotherapy. Additionally, the patients with low ECM risk scores had higher immune checkpoint gene expression and immunophenoscore levels and responded better to immunotherapy. Fragrances, which are commonly used in food, textiles, consumer products, and medical supplies, are volatile compounds that require stabilization and controlled release due to their sensitivity to environmental conditions such as light, oxygen, temperature, and humidity. Encapsulation in various material matrices is a desired technique for these purposes, and there is a growing interest in using sustainable natural materials to reduce environmental impact. In this study, fragrance encapsulation in microspheres made from silk fibroin (SF) was investigated. Fragrance-loaded silk fibroin microspheres (Fr-SFMSs) were prepared by adding fragrance/surfactant emulsions to silk solutions, followed by mixing them with polyethylene glycol under ambient conditions. The study investigated eight different fragrances, where citral, beta-ionone, and eugenol showed higher binding affinities to silk than the other five fragrances, resulting in better microsphere formation with uniform sizes and higher fragrance loading (10-30%). Citral-SFMSs showed characteristic crystalline β-sheet structures of SF, high thermal stability (initial weight loss at 255 °C), long shelf life at 37 °C (>60 days), and sustained release (∼30% of citral remained after incubation at 60 °C for 24 h). When citral-SFMSs with different sizes were used to treat cotton fabrics, about 80% of the fragrance remained on the fabrics after one wash, and the duration of release from the treated fabrics was significantly longer than that of control samples treated with citral alone (no microspheres). This method of preparing Fr-SFMSs has potential applications in textile finishing, cosmetics, and the food industry.

Hydrogels offer tissue-like softness, stretchability, fracture toughness, ionic conductivity, and compatibility with biological tissues, which make them promising candidates for fabricating flexible bioelectronics. A soft hydrogel film offers an ideal interface to directly bridge thin-film electronics with the soft tissues. However, it remains difficult to fabricate a soft hydrogel film with an ultrathin configuration and excellent mechanical strength. Here we report a biological tissue-inspired ultrasoft microfiber composite ultrathin (< 5 μm) hydrogel film, which is currently the thinnest hydrogel film as far as we know. The embedded microfibers endow the composite hydrogel with prominent mechanical strength (tensile stress ~ 6 MPa) and anti-tearing property. Moreover, our microfiber composite hydrogel offers the capability of tunable mechanical properties in a broad range, allowing for matching the modulus of most biological tissues and organs. The incorporation of glycerol and salt ions imparts the microfiber composite hydrogel with high ionic conductivity and prominent anti-dehydration behavior. Anomaly detection is a critical task for maintaining the performance of a cloud system. Using data-driven methods to address this issue is the mainstream in recent years. However, due to the lack of labeled data for training in practice, it is necessary to enable an anomaly detection model trained on contaminated data in an unsupervised way. Besides, with the increasing complexity of cloud systems, effectively organizing data collected from a wide range of components of a system and modeling spatiotemporal dependence among them become a challenge. In this article, we propose TopoMAD, a stochastic seq2seq model which can robustly model spatial and temporal dependence among contaminated data. We include system topological information to organize metrics from different components and apply sliding windows over metrics collected continuously to capture the temporal dependence. We extract spatial features with the help of graph neural networks and temporal features with long short-term memory networks. Moreover, we develop our model based on variational auto-encoder, enabling it to work well robustly even when trained on contaminated data. Our approach is validated on the run-time performance data collected from two representative cloud systems, namely, a big data batch processing system and a microservice-based transaction processing system. The experimental results show that TopoMAD outperforms some state-of-the-art methods on these two data sets.

Reversible transformations between fractals and periodic structures are of fundamental importance for understanding the formation mechanism of fractals. Currently, it is still a challenge to controllably achieve such a transformation. We investigate the effect of CO and CO 2 molecules on Sierpiński triangles (STs) assembled from Fe atoms and 4,4″-dicyano-1,1':3',1″-terphenyl (C3PC) molecules on Au surfaces. Using scanning tunneling microscopy, we discover that the gas molecules induce a transition from STs into 1D chains. Based on density functional theory modeling, we propose that the atomistic mechanism involves the transformation of a stable 3-fold coordination Fe(C3PC) 3 motif to Fe(C3PC) 4 with an axially bonded CO molecule. In-stent restenosis caused by tumor ingrowth increases the risk of secondary surgery for patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) because conventional vascular stent grafts suffer from mechanical fatigue, thrombosis, and endothelial hyperplasia. For that, we report a woven vascular stent-graft with robust mechanical properties, biocompatibility, and drug delivery functions to inhibit thrombosis and the growth of AAA. Paclitaxel (PTX)/metformin (MET)-loaded silk fibroin (SF) microspheres were self-assembly synthesized by emulsification-precipitation technology and layer-by-layer coated on the surface of a woven stent via electrostatic bonding. The woven vascular stent-graft before and after coating drug-loaded membranes were characterized and analyzed systematically. The results show that small-sized drug-loaded microspheres increased the specific surface area and promoted the dissolution/release of drugs. The stent-grafts with drug-loaded membranes exhibited a slow drug-release profile more for than 70 h and low water permeability at 158.33 ± 17.56 mL/cm 2 ·min. The combination of PTX and MET inhibited the growth of human umbilical vein endothelial cells. Therefore, it was possible to generate dual-drug-loaded woven vascular stent-grafts to achieve the more effective treatment of AAA.
