Event cameras respond to temporal dynamics, helping to resolve ambiguities in spatio-temporal changes for optical flow estimation. However, the unique spatio-temporal event distribution challenges the feature extraction, and the direct construction of motion representation through the orthogonal view is less than ideal due to the entanglement of appearance and motion. This paper proposes to transform the orthogonal view into a motion-dependent one for enhancing event-based motion representation and presents a Motion View-based Network (MV-Net) for practical optical flow estimation. Specifically, this motion-dependent view transformation is achieved through the Event View Transformation Module, which captures the relationship between the steepest temporal changes and motion direction, incorporating these temporal cues into the view transformation process for feature gathering. This module includes two phases: extracting the temporal evolution clues by central difference operation in the extraction phase and capturing the motion pattern by evolution-guided deformable convolution in the perception phase. Besides, the MV-Net constructs an eccentric downsampling process to avoid response weakening from the sparsity of events in the downsampling stage. The whole network is trained end-to-end in a self-supervised manner, and the evaluations conducted on four challenging datasets reveal the superior performance of the proposed model compared to state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods.

A flexible transparent conductive film (TCF) is an important component in many modern smart devices. Recent TCF is always fabricated based on indium tin oxide (ITO). However, the drawbacks of ITO (e.g., brittle nature, high cost, and resource scarcity) and the complex preparation process of TCF limit the massive production and further application of TCF. Herein, a facile and low-cost method is proposed to prepare flexible TCF. Rolls of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs)/polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer film were first fabricated by the roll-to-roll (R2R) spraying method. Then, the interlayer film was laminated between polycarbonate (PC) films (0.1 mm in thickness) to fabricate a transparent (80% optical transmittance) but flexible trilayer film. Such a prepared trilayer film shows multifunctional applications. For example, on the one hand, high conductivity and uniform distribution of resistance ensure that it can work as a deicing window with good performance at a low voltage. On the other hand, its flexibility, rapid self-recovery, and stable response enable it to be used as a bending sensor, which shows remarkable stability, repeatability, and durability. This study provides a facile method to fabricate TCF based on commercial but low-cost materials, which is suitable for industrial production and wide practical applications.

Partitioning defective protein 3 (Par3) can activate the Tiam1/Rac pathway to inhibit invasion and metastasis in many cancers; however, the role of Par3 in lung adenocarcinoma remains unknown. Here we show that Par3 is downregulated in lung adenocarcinoma tissues and is associated with higher rates of lymph node metastasis and recurrence. Our functional study demonstrated that knock-down of Par3 promoted lung adenocarcinoma cell growth, cell migration, tumor formation, and metastasis, all of which were effectively inhibited when 14-3-3ζ was silenced. We found that Par3 binded with 14-3-3ζ protein and also showed that Par3 abrogated the binding of 14-3-3ζ to Tiam1, which was responsible for Rac1 activation. Knock-down of 14-3-3ζ inhibited Tiam1/Rac-GTP activation and blocked the invasive behavior of cells lacking Par3. These data suggest that loss of Par3 promotes metastatic behavior in lung adenocarcinoma cells through 14-3-3ζ protein.
