Supergroups of some hyperbolic space groups are classified as a continuation of our former works. Fundamental domains will be integer parts of truncated tetrahedra belonging to families F1 -F4, for a while, by the notation of E. Molna ' r et al. in 2006. Our paper relies basically on this work. As an application, optimal congruent hyperball packings and coverings to the truncation base planes with their very good densities are computed. This covering density is better than the conjecture of L. Fejes To ' th for balls and horoballs in 1964.

In this paper we give a new, shortened proof of NP-completeness of CSP problem for undirected, non bipartite graphs, of interest for generalization to QCSP problem. We also give some illustrative examples.

In this paper, the finite-time stability for nonlinear neutral multi-term fractional order systems with time-varying input and state delays is investigated. By use of the generalized Gronwall inequality and extended form of the generalized Gronwall inequality, new sufficient conditions for finite-time stability of such systems are obtained. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed theoretical results.

In this paper, we consider the Kronrod extension for the Gauss-Radau and Gauss-Lobatto quadrature consisting of any one of the four Chebyshev weights. The main purpose is to effectively estimate the error of these quadrature formulas. This estimate needs a calculation of the maximum of the modulus of the kernel. We compute explicitly the kernel function and determine the locations on the ellipses where a maximum modulus of the kernel is attained. Based on this, we derive effective error bounds of the Kronrod extensions if the integrand is an analytic function inside of a region bounded by a confocal ellipse that contains the interval of integration.

In this paper, convex continuous-time programming problem with inequality type of constraints is considered. We derive new saddle point optimality conditions and classical duality results such as weak and strong duality properties, under additional regularity assumption. A fundamental tool, employed in the derivation of the necessary saddle point optimality criteria and strong duality result for convex continuous-time programming, is a new version of a theorem of the alternative in infinite-dimensional spaces.

In this paper, a new open-loop (PDDa)-D-2 type a fractional order iterative learning control (ILC) is studied for joint space trajectory tracking control of a linearized uncertain robotic arm. The robust convergent analysis of the tracking errors has been done in time domain where it is theoretically proven that the boundednesses of the tracking error are guaranteed in the presence of model uncertainty. The convergence of the proposed open-loop ILC law is proven mathematically using Gronwall integral inequality for a linearized robotic system and sufficient conditions for convergence and robustness are obtained.

We present some new results for alpha(psi)(L)-rational contractive and cyclic alpha(psi)(L)-rational contractive mappings defined in d(l)-complete metric-like spaces (also known as dislocated metric spaces). We have showed that established results for both types of contractive mappings are in the fact equivalent. By using this result obtained so far we discuss some examples at the end of this paper. All these examples show the advantage of our results.

It is important to be able to estimate the quadrature error in Gauss rules. Several approaches have been developed, including the evaluation of associated Gauss-Kronrod rules (if they exist), or the associated averaged Gauss and generalized averaged Gauss rules. Integrals with certain integrands can be approximated more accurately by rational Gauss rules than by Gauss rules. This paper introduces associated rational averaged Gauss rules and rational generalized averaged Gauss rules, which can be used to estimate the error in rational Gauss rules. Also rational Gauss-Kronrod rules are discussed. Computed examples illustrate the accuracy of the error estimates determined by these quadrature rules.

This paper considers the Balanced Multi-Weighted Attribute Set Partitioning (BMWASP) problem which requires finding a partition of a given set of objects with multiple weighted attributes into a certain number of groups so that each attribute is evenly distributed amongst the groups. Our approach is to define an appropriate criterion allowing to compare the degree of deviation from the "perfect balance" for different partitions and then produce the partition that minimizes this criterion. We have proposed a mathematical model for the BMWASP and its mixed-integer linear reformulation. We evaluated its efficiency through a set of computational experiments. To solve instances of larger problem dimensions, we have developed a heuristic method based on a Variable Neighborhood Search (VNS). A local search procedure with efficient fast swap-based local search is implemented in the proposed VNS-based approach. Presented computational results show that the proposed VNS is computationally efficient and quickly reaches all optimal solutions for smaller dimension instances obtained by exact solver and provide high-quality solutions on large-scale problem instances in short CPU times.

Graphs whose spectrum belongs to the interval [-2, 2] are called Smith graphs. The structure of a Smith graph with a given spectrum depends on a system of Diophantine linear algebraic equations. We have established in [1] several properties of this system and showed how it can be simplified and effectively applied. In this way a spectral theory of Smith graphs has been outlined. In the present paper we introduce cospectrality graphs for Smith graphs and study their properties through examples and theoretical consideration. The new notion is used in proving theorems on cospectrality of Smith graphs. In this way one can avoid the use of the mentioned system of Diophantine linear algebraic equations.

In previous papers there are given numerous cases of groups with truncated simplices as fundamental domains. These groups will be reconsidered here, in order to finish the classification of the supergroups for 44 group series with trunc-simplex domains. There are given 7 new series of groups here, belonging to different families. We also consider 12 new cases of groups of 20 series from families F13 - F32, called maximal series. These results complete the investigation of groups with fundamental trunc-simplices.

The paper considers realization of the brachistochronic motion of a nonholonomic mechanical system, composed of variable mass particles, by means of an ideal holonomic constraint with restricted reaction. It is assumed that the system performs planar motion in an arbitrary field of forces and that it has two degrees of freedom. In addition, the laws of the time-rate of mass variation of the particles, as well as relative velocities of the expelled and gained particles, respectively, are known. Restricted reaction of the holonomic constraint is taken for the scalar control. Applying Pontryagin's maximum principle and singular optimal control theory, the problem of brachistochronic motion is solved as a two-point boundary value problem (TPBVP). Since the reaction of the constraint is restricted, different types of control structures are examined, from singular to totally nonsingular. The considerations are illustrated via an example.

S. Li in [Studia Sci. Math. Hungar. 29 (1994) 71-83] proposed a Kronrod type extension to the well-known Turan formula. He showed that such an extension exists for any weight function. For the classical Chebyshev weight function of the first kind, Li found the Kronrod extension of Turan formula that has all its nodes real and belonging to the interval of integration, [-1, 1]. In this paper we show the existence and the uniqueness of the additional two cases - the Kronrod exstensions of corresponding Gauss-Turan quadrature formulas for special case of Gori-Micchelli weight function and for generalized Chebyshev weight function of the second kind, that have all their nodes real and belonging to the integration interval [-1, 1]. Numerical results for the weight coefficients in these cases are presented, while the analytic formulas of the nodes are known.

In this paper we use Groebner bases theory in order to determine planarity of intersections of two algebraic surfaces in R3. We specially considered plane sections of certain type of conoid which has a cubic egg curve as one of the directrices. The paper investigates a possibility of conic plane sections of this type of conoid.

For analytic functions the remainder terms of quadrature formulae can be represented as a contour integral with a complex kernel. We study the kernel, on elliptic contours with foci at the points -/+ 1, for Gauss-Lobatto quadrature formula with multiple end points with Chebyshev weight function of the third and the fourth kind. Starting from the explicit expression of the corresponding kernel, derived by Gautschi and Li, we determine the locations on the ellipses where maximum modulus of the kernel is attained. The obtained values confirm the corresponding conjectured values given by Gautschi and Li in paper [The remainder term for analytic functions of Gauss-Radau and Gauss-Lobatto quadrature rules with multiple end points, Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics 33 (1990) 315-329.]

In the papers of I. K. Zhuk, then more completely of E. Molnar, I. Prok, J. Szirmai all simplicial 3-tilings have been classified, where a symmetry group acts transitively on the simplex tiles. The involved spaces depends on some rotational order parameters. When a vertex of a such simplex lies out of the absolute, e. g. in hyperbolic space H-3, then truncation with its polar plane gives a truncated simplex or simply, trunc-simplex. Looking for symmetries of these tilings by simplex or trunc-simplex domains, with their side face pairings, it is possible to find all their group extensions, especially Coxeter's reflection groups, if they exist. So here, connections between isometry groups and their supergroups is given by expressing the generators and the corresponding parameters. There are investigated simplices in families F3, F4, F6 and appropriate series of trunc-simplices. In all cases the Coxeter groups are the maximal ones.

In this paper, we prove some fixed point theorems for g-monotone maps on partially ordered S-metric spaces. Our results generalize fixed point theorems in [1] and [7] for maps on metric spaces to the structure of S-metric spaces. Also, we give examples to demonstrate the validity of the results.

In this paper we consider trigonometric polynomials of semi-integer degree orthogonal with respect to a linear functional, defined by a nonnegative Borel measure. By using a suitable vector form we consider the corresponding Fourier sums and reproducing kernels for trigonometric polynomials of semi- integer degree. Also, we consider the Christoffel function, and prove that it satisfies extremal property analogous with the algebraic case.

In this paper we introduce new methods and results that can lead to the solution of a long-standing open problem of the representation of algebraic lattices by weak congruences. Here known criteria for ∆-suitable elements in algebraic lattices are generalized.

In this paper, we introduce new Qp type spaces and mixed norm analytic function spaces on polyballs and describe completely their traces on unit ball. Complete descriptions of traces of harmonic Bergman classes on products of unit balls of Rn and products of Rn+1 half spaces will be also provided.

There are investigated supergroups of some hyperbolic space groups with simplicial fundamental domain. If the vertices of these simplices are out of the absolute, we can truncate them by polar planes of the vertices and the new polyhedra are fundamental ones of the richer groups. In papers of E. Molnar, I. Prok and J. Szirmai the simplices, investigated here, are collected in families F3, F4 and F6. In this paper, by using Cantor’s principle of nested intervals, we give a new and simple proof that the Sorgenfrey line is a topological space of the second Baire category. One application of this result in asymptotic analysis is also given.
