This study investigates the impact of family support on students' academic performance. The research analyzes three dimensions of family support: academic support, emotional support, and intrafamily relationships. The results indicate that a significant percentage of students receive consistent academic and emotional support from their families, which positively influences their academic performance. The study also reveals a strong correlation between intrafamily relationships and students' academic performance. The findings underscore the importance of family support in improving students' academic achievement and suggest that interventions aimed at strengthening family support could be beneficial in improving students' academic outcomes., Este estudio investiga el impacto del apoyo familiar en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. La investigación analiza tres dimensiones del apoyo familiar: apoyo académico, apoyo emocional y relaciones intrafamiliares. Los resultados indican que un porcentaje significativo de estudiantes reciben apoyo académico y emocional constante por parte de sus familias, lo que influye positivamente en su rendimiento académico. El estudio también revela una fuerte correlación entre las relaciones intrafamiliares y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. Los hallazgos subrayan la importancia del apoyo familiar para mejorar los logros académicos de los estudiantes y sugieren que las intervenciones dirigidas a fortalecer el apoyo familiar podrían ser beneficiosas para mejorar los resultados académicos de los estudiantes.

For large-scale crop cultivation manual weeding is unviable. The use of herbicides shrinks manual labor requirements; but herbicide’s weed control efficacy is not at its peak for a prolonged period, especially for a long-duration crop. The study's objective was to test the supplementary attributes of cowpeas in prolonging the suppression of weeds in okra plots. Treatments involved in the study were: Butachlor at 1.0 kg a.i./ha + cowpea at 40,000 plants/ha, Butachlor at 2.0 kg a.i./ha + cowpea at 40,000 plants/ha), Hoe-weeding at 3, 6, and 9 weeks after sowing, and Weedy Control. Weed Control Rating, weed biomass, cowpea grain yield, okra pods/plant, and pod yields were measured. Combined use of Butachlor at 2.0 kg a. i./ha plus cowpea maintained a similar weed control rating with Hoe weeded control up till 8 weeks after sowing and became less effective at 10 weeks growth stage, it also resulted in significantly greater average grain yields (344.4 kg/ha) than when the lower rate of herbicide concentration of 1.0 kg a.i./ha was used (181.3 kg/ha). HighButa had a greater mean okra pod yield (3.1 t/ha) than LowButa (2.1 t/ha), but it was less than the yield of the hoe-weeded control (4.2 t/ha), the weedy plot had pod yield of 1.1 t/ha. Uninterrupted weed interference in okra plots resulted in a 73.8 % average loss in okra pod yield. Combination of cowpea with butachlor prolonged weed suppression in okra, such methodology is therefore recommended.

This paper discusses the prospect of using solar energy for aquaponics operations. Aquaponic is a platform for farmers to grow fish and plants in the same unit simultaneously. The system is considered a sustainable and green technology. Aquaponics operation may be hampered by the necessity for pumps for continuous water recirculation and air supply within the system, especially if the unit is located far from any power outlet. Given that Malaysia is positioned at the equator and receives an average of 9 hours of sunlight per day throughout the year, with solar intensity as high as 1800–1900 kWh/m2, it is unquestionably a practical solution. This paper examines utilities of aquaponics platforms that can be supported by solar energy and describes equipment for setting up a suitable solar PV system for aquaponics operation. Possible integration of the Internet-of-Things (IoT) for remote monitoring of such solar-operated aquaponics units is also discussed. Analysis revealed that the production and growth rates of the crop and fish grown in the system were unchanged even when fully supplied with energy for 12 hours. The finding indicates the potential for using solar energy as alternative energy for the operation of the aquaponics unit. Aquaponic system particularly benefits farming activities in rural locations without electricity. Despite the high installation costs (a 100 W PV system might cost nearly RM 600), the technology offers long-term savings on electricity expenses and national grid installation fees. In conclusion, the project provided the idea of smart farming using aquaponics for the sustainable production of crops and fish utilizing clean, renewable solar energy.

The importance of education is clearly recognized in the processes of socioeconomic development of all societies as a factor that contributes to its acceleration. There is consensus among thinkers on the need to put into practice an integral education, in accordance with the nature of the human being. The objective of this study is to interpret and understand the essence of education and the nature of the human being in order to postulate a praxis of integral education in the Peruvian educational system. This research has a qualitative approach that makes use of the hermeneutic methodology of interpretation of texts of recognized authors in the academic field of education. The research concludes that the educational theories of post-capitalism or neoliberalism and the holistic integral theory recognize the need to implement an integral education, in accordance with the nature of the human being, but that in the practical action of education it is not implemented, as in the case of Peru, being integral education a pending issue of the Peruvian educational system., La educación es claramente reconocida como un factor que coadyuva los procesos de desarrollo socioeconómico. Existe consenso entre los pensadores sobre la necesidad de llevar a la práctica una educación integral, acorde con la naturaleza del ser humano. El objetivo del presente estudio es interpretar y comprender la esencia de la educación y de la naturaleza del ser humano para postular una praxis de educación integral en el sistema educativo peruano. Se trata de una investigación de enfoque cualitativo que hace uso de la metodología hermenéutica de interpretación de textos de autores reconocidos en el ámbito académico de la educación. Aunque las teorías educativas del poscapitalismo o neoliberalismo y la teoría integral holística reconocen la necesidad de implementar una educación integral, acorde con la naturaleza del ser humano, en la práctica no se lo hace, por lo que es un asunto pendiente del sistema educativo peruano.

We introduce and analyze a symmetric low-regularity scheme for the nonlinear Schr\"odinger (NLS) equation beyond classical Fourier-based techniques. We show fractional convergence of the scheme in $L^2$-norm, from first up to second order, both on the torus $\mathbb{T}^d$ and on a smooth bounded domain $\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^d$, $d\le 3$, equipped with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition. The new scheme allows for a symmetric approximation to the NLS equation in a more general setting than classical splitting, exponential integrators, and low-regularity schemes (i.e. under lower regularity assumptions, on more general domains, and with fractional rates). We motivate and illustrate our findings through numerical experiments, where we witness better structure preserving properties and an improved error-constant in low-regularity regimes.

We introduce a unified framework of symmetric resonance based schemes which preserve central symmetries of the underlying PDE. We extend the resonance decorated trees approach introduced in arXiv:2005.01649 to a richer framework by exploring novel ways of iterating Duhamel's formula, capturing the dominant parts while interpolating the lower parts of the resonances in a symmetric manner. This gives a general class of new numerical schemes with more degrees of freedom than the original scheme from arXiv:2005.01649. To encapsulate the central structures we develop new forest formulae that contain the previous class of schemes and derive conditions on their coefficients in order to obtain symmetric schemes. These forest formulae echo the one used in Quantum Field Theory for renormalising Feynman diagrams and the one used for the renormalisation of singular SPDEs via the theory of Regularity Structures. These new algebraic tools not only provide a nice parametrisation of the previous resonance based integrators but also allow us to find new symmetric schemes with remarkable structure preservation properties even at very low regularity., Comment: 71 pages

Zakat has great potential to overcome problems in Indonesia such as poverty alleviation, access to education and health for zakat mustahik, but the implementation of zakat in Indonesia is faced with a number of problems. Zakat is divided into two categories, namely internal problems and external problems. Zakat is carried out in three ways, namely, first, baznas actively participate in the community without waiting for muzakki to pay zakat. Second, the Zakat distributed to the public apart from being in the form of zakat in general, is also adjusted to the community's needs for COVID-19 and is periodically balanced with monitoring and evaluation. Third, Zakat which is developed in both consumptive and productive forms has become a mental solution and welfare for the community. The distribution of zakat carried out by BAZNAS has a different percentage of distribution due to differences in the vision and mission of each zakat institution. Problems that occur in the distribution of zakat in Indonesia can be done by knowing the main problems that occur on the external and internal sides.

For this exploratory bibliographical research synthesis, twenty-two empirical research studies were selected by means of online sources and categorized based on the aims of this paper. There were no limitations related to the design or year publication of the selected studies. In order to address the purpose of this research synthesis, the strategies to teach an SL to DS students, the effects of each type of strategy, and teachers’ perceptions about teaching an SL to DS students were analyzed. The results revealed that various strategies were effective when teaching an SL to DS students. Therefore, these strategies were organized into shorter categories such as intrinsic, extrinsic, technological, and motivational. Moreover, the results demonstrated that students with DS could learn an SL by applying different teaching strategies. Thus, the most predominant teaching strategies were intrinsic and motivational. Also, regarding teachers’ perceptions, this paper remarked the importance of training, curricular adaptations, collaborative work, classroom environment, and motivation.

En 2022, dado el potencial de la economía azul de la Comunitat Valenciana, que ha mostrado una evolución positiva con tasas de crecimiento del empleo elevadas en el periodo 2016-2019, se ha seguido trabajando en aspectos como la innovación territorial de este sector. Ya en 2017 se abordó un pionero análisis de impacto económico del sector de la economía azul en la Comunitat, que se perfecciona con el trabajo realizado en el presente documento. Se trata de un exhaustivo análisis del sector donde, además, se abordan diez proyectos-iniciativas de innovación en el ámbito de la economía azul desde un punto de vista territorial. No cabe duda, de que la I+D+i es un motor central no solo para el desarrollo de una economía azul sostenible, sino también para el Pacto Verde Europeo y la recuperación de la crisis de la COVID-19.

We introduce a new class of numerical schemes which allow for low regularity approximations to the expectation $ \mathbb{E}(|u_{k}(\tau, v^{\eta})|^2)$, where $u_k$ denotes the $k$-th Fourier coefficient of the solution $u$ of the dispersive equation and $ v^{\eta}(x) $ the associated random initial data. This quantity plays an important role in physics, in particular in the study of wave turbulence where one needs to adopt a statistical approach in order to obtain deep insight into the generic long-time behaviour of solutions to dispersive equations. Our new class of schemes is based on Wick's theorem and Feynman diagrams together with a resonance based discretisation (see arXiv:2005.01649) set in a more general context: we introduce a novel combinatorial structure called paired decorated forests which are two decorated trees whose decorations on the leaves come in pair. The character of the scheme draws its inspiration from the treatment of singular stochastic partial differential equations via Regularity Structures. In contrast to classical approaches, we do not discretize the PDE itself, but rather its expectation. We introduce a general framework of low regularity integrators which allows us to approximate the time dynamics of a large class of equations, including parabolic and hyperbolic problems, as well as dispersive equations, up to arbitrary high order on general domains. The structure of the local error of the new schemes is driven by nested commutators which in general require (much) lower regularity assumptions than classical methods do. Our main idea lies in embedding the central oscillations of the nonlinear PDE into the numerical discretisation. The latter is achieved by a novel decorated tree formalism inspired by singular SPDEs with Regularity Structures and allows us to control the nonlinear interactions in the system up to arbitrary high order on the infinite dimensional (continuous) as well as finite dimensional (discrete) level., Comment: 57 pages

We analyse a class of time discretizations for solving the nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation with non-smooth potential and at low-regularity on an arbitrary Lipschitz domain $\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^d$, $d \le 3$. We show that these schemes, together with their optimal local error structure, allow for convergence under lower regularity assumptions on both the solution and the potential than is required by classical methods, such as splitting or exponential integrator methods. Moreover, we show first and second order convergence in the case of periodic boundary conditions, in any fractional positive Sobolev space $H^{r}$, $r \ge 0$, beyond the more typical $L^2$ or $H^\sigma (\sigma>\frac{d}{2}$) -error analysis. Numerical experiments illustrate our results.

The Covid-19 pandemic crisis has transformed project-based education into virtual lab and non-experimental work. Student final year project (FYP) course particularly is in critical since it has bigger credit, involves more skill set development and conducted in two semesters. In this work, we highlighted the implementation of Arduino in FYP where the main objective of the work is to investigate the effectiveness of Arduino home based final year project for chemical engineering student’s cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills. Comparison on learning satisfaction, obtainment of student skills and reflection from both student and examiners were thoroughly discussed. Surveys showed that student were reluctant to carry out the project in the beginning; however, they began to show more interest on the project as they started to understand the basic principle of Arduino operation. Both students and the examiners agreed that Arduino-based project had given significant impact on student cognitive skills at the level of Application, Analysis, Synthesis and Evaluation. On top of that, the psychomotor and affective skills were simultaneously and successfully developed in the remote learning process. It is evident that the proposed Arduino home-based FYP is affordable and effective for the development of student skill sets despite being supervised virtually.

Developing policies to target this issue requires assessment of the spatial, economic and structural conditions that explain why a municipality experiences depopulation. This study explores the drivers of population growth in the municipalities of the Mediterranean region officially known as the Comunitat Valenciana in Spain. This region is relatively urbanized, so the study allows to explore the spatial interdependence between municipalities that belong to urban and rural areas, some of them subject to significant depopulation. The study's findings, based on a spatial approach, help explain the population growth of municipalities based on their interdependence with neighbouring communities. A population growth model is defined drawing on several dimensions related to population dynamics: accessibility, economic conditions, public facilities and services, natural amenities, and degree of urbanization. The findings show that population dynamics in a given municipality are influenced by its surrounding municipalities, suggesting that policies focusing on clusters of local administrative units can be central to prevent the depopulation of certain areas.

The advent of switches with programmable dataplanes has enabled the rapid development of new network functionality, as well as providing a platform for acceleration of a broad range of application-level functionality. However, existing switch hardware was not designed with application acceleration in mind, and thus applications requiring operations or datatypes not used in traditional network protocols must resort to expensive workarounds. Applications involving floating point data, including distributed training for machine learning and distributed query processing, are key examples. In this paper, we propose FPISA, a floating point representation designed to work efficiently in programmable switches. We first implement FPISA on an Intel Tofino switch, but find that it has limitations that impact throughput and accuracy. We then propose hardware changes to address these limitations based on the open-source Banzai switch architecture, and synthesize them in a 15-nm standard-cell library to demonstrate their feasibility. Finally, we use FPISA to implement accelerators for training for machine learning and for query processing, and evaluate their performance on a switch implementing our changes using emulation. We find that FPISA allows distributed training to use 25-75% fewer CPU cores and provide up to 85.9% better throughput in a CPU-constrained environment than SwitchML. The evolutionary aspects of cystatins are greatly underexplored in early-emerging metazoans. Thus, we surveyed the gene organization, protein architecture, and phylogeny of cystatin homologues mined from 110 genomes and the transcriptomes of 58 basal metazoan species, encompassing free-living and parasite taxa of Porifera, Placozoa, Cnidaria (including Myxozoa), and Ctenophora. We found that the cystatin gene repertoire significantly differs among phyla, with stefins present in most of the investigated lineages but with type 2 cystatins missing in several basal metazoan groups. Similar to liver and intestinal flukes, myxozoan parasites possess atypical stefins with chimeric structure that combine motifs of classical stefins and type 2 cystatins. Other early metazoan taxa regardless of lifestyle have only the classical representation of cystatins and lack multi-domain ones. Our comprehensive phylogenetic analyses revealed that stefins and type 2 cystatins clustered into taxonomically defined clades with multiple independent paralogous groups, which probably arose due to gene duplications. The stefin clade split between the subclades of classical stefins and the atypical stefins of myxozoans and flukes. Atypical stefins represent key evolutionary innovations of the two parasite groups for which their origin might have been linked with ancestral gene chimerization, obligate parasitism, life cycle complexity, genome reduction, and host immunity.

The main components of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) include a microcontroller for processing the system, communication system for inter and intra node communication and several sensors. Real-time data access can be done by using remote monitoring and Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Data collected at the apart site can be displayed in a visual format on a server PC with the help of Spark streaming analysis through Spark MLlib, Deep learning neural network models, Belief Rule Based (BRB) system and is also compared with standard values. If the acquired value is above the threshold value automated warning SMS alert will be sent to the agent. The uniqueness of our proposed paper is to obtain the water monitoring system with high frequency, high mobility, and low powered. El presente trabajo aplicativo tiene el fin de presentar un plan de fortalecimiento de la cultura organizacional de una empresa de la industria automotriz peruana. Con el fin de determinar la orientación estratégica y objetivos de dicho plan se realizó un diagnóstico de la situación actual de la cultura organizacional utilizando el instrumento Organizational Culture Assesment (OCAI) basado en la teoría de Cameron & Quinn, aplicando entrevistas a profundidad a los miembros de la organización y realizando un análisis de la influencia de la diversidad cultural en la empresa según el modelo de Hofstede. Posteriormente, se alinearon los resultados del diagnóstico de la cultura a la estrategia de la organización y se elaboró un plan de fortalecimiento sobre la base de la teoría de gestión de cambio según el autor Kotter, quien plantea ocho pasos fundamentales para lograr un cambio exitoso y duradero a través del tiempo. Finalmente, se realizó un análisis costo beneficio del plan propuesto y los resultados evidenciaron que se obtendrían resultados positivos a partir del tercer año después de haber ejecutado el plan propuesto de fortalecimiento de la cultura organizacional en la empresa.

RESUMEN Hoy en día podemos observar que todas las empresas que tienen éxito se debe a que saben manejar y utilizar un proceso administrativo para conducir cada una de sus operaciones, puesto que este proceso está compuesto por cuatro pilares fundamentales: planeación, organización, dirección y control. Por ello que se hace necesario, que las organizaciones lo desarrollen de manera idónea para enfrentar con buena y rápida capacidad de respuesta los retos que se presenten. Por ello el presente trabajo de investigación presenta una propuesta de mejora en cada uno de los procesos administrativos mediante la cual se busca incrementar la rentabilidad de la empresa mejorando la calidad de servicio que esta ofrece. Se realizó un diagnóstico actual para hallar los principales problemas de la empresa y conocer la situación real a la que esta se enfrenta para poder diseñar estrategias que permitan lograr el alcance de los objetivos, utilizando las herramientas adecuadas para reducir riesgos laborales y cumplir con el desempeño deseado por la organización. Y para la determinación de resultados fue realizado a través de la entrevista al gerente, encuesta a cada de los colaborares, revisión de documentos y la observación. Además, este trabajo permitirá reducir las pérdidas económicas en el área de operaciones de la empresa, para ello se propone llevar un control y seguimiento de sus equipos para disminuir el nivel de pérdidas y/o deterioros de estos mismos, conociendo el destino y la ubicación exacta de cada uno ellos. Finalmente se va conseguir que todo el personal mantenga un mismo enfoque pues se plantearán objetivos y estrategias que permitirán conducirse de manera adecuada según la realidad a la que se enfrenta. This article proposes a training development plan in occupational safety and health to improve the labor performance of workers in the Provincial Municipality of Chiclayo. The study was made to a population of 30 workers in the area of remuneration. The study was done using a Pre-Experimental design, applying a pretest and a post-test, the type of research is explanatory and applied, the techniques used were textual records, bibliographic records. It was used as field technique the survey that has contained 32 questions on occupational safety and health in the work performance data that have been collected within the established time, for its validity and reliability the instrument achieved a reliability of 0,926 in Cronbach's alpha. The objective was to determine the influence of the training development plan on occupational safety and health in the labor performance of workers in the Provincial Municipality of Chiclayo. As a result it was evident that extrinsic and intrinsic factors directly influence work performance. A good working environment, safe and reliable, elevates the work performance., Este artículo plantea un plan de desarrollo de capacitación en seguridad y salud ocupacional para mejorar el rendimiento laboral de los trabajadores en la Municipalidad Provincial de Chiclayo. En el estudio participaron 56 personas divididas en dos grupos ocupacionales: 14 administrativos y 42 operarios; la información fue recogida por medio de la técnica de entrevista a profundidad en el personal administrativo y por focus group en el personal operativo. Los hallazgos refieren que los factores más importantes son las relaciones interpersonales, el trabajo, el factor psicológico, económico, educativo y la salud. Por otro lado, se encontró que las relaciones interpersonales y el trabajo son factores importantes para ambos grupos ocupacionales. Finalmente se observa que para el grupo ocupacional administrativo, la felicidad es conceptualizada desde la dimensión eudaimónica, mientras que para el grupo operario desde la dimensión hedónica.

El objetivo de este Trabajo Final de Grado (TFG) es el análisis del mantenimiento y de la explotación de la instalación de climatización de un edificio existente, el Hotel Westin Valencia (cinco estrellas). Una vez identificado el ámbito normativo pertinente (Apartado 16 “Justificación del cumplimiento de la normativa aplicable”), se analizan los puntos que deben ser inspeccionados y los períodos de tiempo que se deben tener en cuenta (Anexo 3 de este TFG), y después se procede al estudio del caso concreto del edificio (que se describe en el Apartado 2.2.2 del Capitulo 2) con la ayuda de las herramientas y sistemas que mejor se adaptan para llevar a cabo este trabajo.
