A question-and-answer technique is one of the strategies to learn English-speaking skills. It invites the class to ask the concerned student questions and avoids a monologue where all the focus is on one person, which helps the teacher reduce tension. The purpose of this study was to confirm the impact of question-and-answer sessions on the speaking proficiency of first-grade senior high school students in Malang, Indonesia. A Quasi-experimental research design was employed since the present study utilized two intact groups. To find out the result, the researchers conducted a pre-test to measure the homogeneity of the group and a post-test to verify the technique's effectiveness. Based on the pre-test result, the groups were claimed to be homogenous before treatment was done since the significant value (.53) was greater than 0.05 (.53> 0.05). However, the post-test result after the treatment indicated that the two groups differed significantly at 0.05 levels as the sig. of the test results was less than 0.05 (.001<0.05). Furthermore, the descriptive statistics revealed better performance in the experimental than in the control group (76.56 > 66.22). It is summarized that the students who were taught using question-and-answer techniques had better speaking ability than those who were not. Therefore, the researchers recommended teachers apply this technique to their students to develop their speaking ability.

This study aims to examine the effect of the BI Rate, exchange rate and inflation on the stock price index of building mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period January 2015 to December 2018. The data analysis technique used in this study is the regression model. The test results prove that the BI Rate (X1) has an effect on the IHSP with a statistical t value of -5.697072 > t-table 2.01537 and a probability value of 0.00 < 0.05, then H1 is accepted. The exchange rate (X2) has an effect on the IHSP with a statistical t value of 4.263165 > t-table 2.01537 and a probability value of 0.0001 < 0.05, then H1 is accepted. The exchange rate has a negative effect on the IHSP with a statistical t value of -1.321528 < t-table 2 0.01537 and 01932 probability value > 0.05, then H1 rejects. To determine the effect of jointly used F test where the results of BI Rate, Exchange Rate and Inflation simultaneously affect the IHSP which is indicated by F-count 54.35844 > F-Table l2.21 and the probability value of F-statistics is F-statistic 0.0000 < 0.05 , then H1 is accepted, with a simultaneous effect of 58.33%. while the remaining 41.67% is explained by other variables not examined in this study

Penelitian ini adalah bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh budaya organisasi, komunikasi, dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kepuasan kerja pada Direktorat Jenderal Bimbingan Masyarakat Hindu Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah dengan menyebarkan kuesioner, sedangkan untuk metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Dalam melakukan penelitian ini penulis menggunakan Analisis koefisien korelasi, Analisa regresi linier berganda dan uji F serta uji t. Dari hasil analisis penulis memperoleh hasil sebagai berikut. Dari analisis linier berganda diperoleh persamaan Y = 3.327 + 0.711X1 + 0.292X2 + 0.210X3 dimana artinya setiap peningkatan atau penurunan budaya organisasi  sebesar 1 point maka kepuasan kerja akan mengalami peningkatan atau penurunan sebesar 0.711. Dari hasil uji F model didapat nilai 384.130 dimana nilai tersebut lebih besar dari F tabel yaitu 3.11 dengan demikian Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Pada uji t diketahui hasil bahwa t hitung untuk budaya organisasi (X1) adalah sebesar 9.364 , hasil komunikasi (X2) adalah sebesar 3.922, dan untuk lingkungan kerja (X3) adalah 3.372.

The writing of this reaserch is aimed at knowing the company's financial performance which is assessed through ratio analysis, namely liquidity ratio, profitability and solvency. The research conducted is to analyze the company's financial statements, namely the income statement, statement of financial position or balance sheet, while for the research method carried out is to use descriptive methods. By analyzing the company's financial statements are expected to be able to provide an overview of the financial condition of the company. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the company's performance is still not all stable. This is due to policies regarding the sale and marketing of cigarettes in Indonesia. The results of the study show that PT. Gudang Garam Tbk is a company that does not experience much increase or decrease until it can be said that the company is safe. PT. Handjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk is a company that has the highest profit compared to 3 (three) other companies. PT. Bentoel International Investama Tbk suffered losses throughout 2013 to 2015. Meanwhile, PT. Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk is in good condition as seen from the Liquidity Ratio. PT. Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk is the most stable company and is able to manage its finances well even though the company has the lowest assets compared to 3 (three) other companies

How well an organization handles the preparation, response and recovery from a crisis is highly dependent on the strength of its leadership and overall design. This thesis develops a framework of five leadership and seven organizational elements necessary for the evaluation of an organization's response during a crisis. Utilizing this framework, interviews were conducted with senior leaders of businesses that successfully navigated tremendous crisis situations. As a result of these interviews, I determined the leadership elements of a strong foundation of support, realistic analysis and a propensity to act had the greatest impact on the success or failure of a leader during a crisis. The organizational elements of leadership support, a strong shared vision, and the ability to think systemically were also determined essential to the effective handling of a crisis. In order to improve the effectiveness of these interventions, this thesis has two purposes: 1) to provide a rigorous, widely applicable framework for approaching the task of revitalizing inner-city neighborhood business districts, and 2) to provide an example of how this framework can be used by applying it to the Uphams Corner neighborhood in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Four economic theories of retail provide the backbone of this framework. Economists use these theories to explain the success of malls and to describe what attracts people to one shopping area over another. This thesis also uses the theories to explore the strategy of orienting commercial districts around particular niches or clusters of stores. While many have recommended niche-based strategies, they do not explicitly connect this to the economic dynamics of retail areas. Therefore, this thesis seeks to explain: 1) what creates the connection between stores in various types of niches, 2) how the nature of competition between stores differs across various types of niches, 3) how these theories can be used to develop concrete strategies for working with existing stores and recruiting new ones, and 4) which types of new stores will be the most successful and add the most to the health of the area. In the process of developing this framework, the thesis describes a number of doubts as to whether the economic theories of retail are applicable to inner city areas. If these doubts can not be overcome, it does not make sense to use the theories in these districts.
