Odontogenic orbital cellulitis, although uncommon, has the potential to cause severe vision loss if unsuspected and untreated. The potential for BALL POWDER to produce primary eye irritation was evaluated in male New Zealand White rabbits by using a modified Draize method. Slight conjunctival vasodilation and chemosis (indicative of mild inflammation) and three small pinpoint erosions were the most serious responses observed.
