La finalitat del treball serà la reorganització i millora del complex existent en l’actualitat, a través de diferents tècniques. Com es el parc més important de la Ciutat de València s’optarà per la incorporació d’organismes inexistents a la ciutat, com un Museu d’aquest servei públic i pel trasllat a aquest espai d’altres institucions com pot ser l’Institut Valencià de la Seguretat Pública i Emergència (IVASPE).

Este proyecto está basado en el seguimiento de la ejecución de un parque de bomberos tipo industrializado, que tiene como finalidad narrar el transcurso de obra en un determinado tiempo por un estudiante en modalidad prácticum. Este, consta de un seguimiento semanal donde se explican todas las actividades llevadas a cabo en esta obra, el cual se compone por diferentes apartados, entre ellos encontramos, un diario de obra narrado de forma semanal, un apartado sobre las competencias asignadas en obra y una conclusión sobre la experiencia obtenida. En el apartado de anexos encontraremos documentación referente al proyecto de ejecución, el plan de seguridad y salud de la obra y la documentación referente al control de calidad.

Built in 1896, old Engine House No. 12 (later the Columbus Music Hall), housed one of Columbus’ early horse and steam engine fire departments. The red brick construction with arched windows and prominent tower are characteristics of the fire house that other fire houses built around the same time may have had.

The 377 ABW proposes to construct, operate, and maintain a new fire station at Kirtland AFB. The new fire station would be constructed in accordance with Air Force Handbook 32-1084, Facility Requirements, and the Air Force Fire Station Design Guide. The facility would consist of a noncombustible one-story structure with three high-bay, drive-through apparatus stalls; separate men's and women's restrooms with lockers and showers; separate men's and women's sleeping rooms; a separate captain's sleeping room and restroom; and a day room with a kitchen. The existing Fire Station 3 (4,312 square feet) would be demolished once construction of the proposed new Fire Station 3 is complete. The proposed new Fire Station 3 would be approximately 7,320 square feet. The three high-bay, drivethrough apparatus stalls would be sized to hold P-24 pumper and P-18 water tender firefighting apparatus with electric roll-up doors and a vehicle exhaust removal system. The facility would be a steel or reinforced concrete structure with reinforced masonry walls, reinforced concrete foundation and floors and a sloped standing seam metal roof. Construction activities would include connections to nearby electrical, water, natural gas, sanitary sewer, and communications utilities. Connection to the sanitary sewer would include the installation of a lift station connected to the installation sewer system, which is approximately 4,800 feet southwest of the site. The Proposed Action would provide heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems; a 150-kilowatt emergency generator to provide uninterruptible power supply for emergency power and communications; parking; paving; landscaping; and security provisions. The analysis in the EA considers the Proposed Action and the No Action Alternative. Two site location alternatives to the Proposed Action were considered, but eliminated from detailed analysis due to not meeting the criteria set forth in the Air Force Fire Station Design Guide.

We initiated this audit in response to allegations to the Defense Hotline. Our overall objective was to determine whether Project RM-005-07, Repair Fire Station Building 106, at Naval Station Great Lakes was adequately justified and properly planned. We also addressed the Defense Hotline allegations and determined whether the fire station renovation design incorporated the appropriate criteria; whether replacing the fire station would have been more economical than the renovation project; and whether the Navy would incur additional costs for basic items not included in the renovation.

This paper illustrates the potential of a decision-support system developed for Belgium by a consortium of universities and a private firm, in the framework of a public call made by the Ministry of the Interior. The system is designed to provide the Belgian emergency management administration with a complete decision-aid tool for the location of fire stations. The originality of the project is that it includes a riskmodeling approach developed at a national scale. This analysis involves a multiscale GIS that includes a thorough representation of the physical, human and economic spatial realities, a risk-modeling approach, an adequate optimal location and allocation model (taking into account both queuing and staffing problems). The final result is an interactive operational tool for defining locations, equipment allocations, staffing, response times, the cost/efficiency trade-off, etc. This flexible tool can be used in an assessment as well as a prospective context. It has been used to draw a national reorganization plan for fire stations that started being implemented in 2010.

El projecte planteja l'ampliació/renovació del parc central de bombers que, a part de millorar els serveis actuals, inclou l'edifici de la direcció dels bombers, el de prevenció i intervenció d'emergències, i el Museu dels Bombers de València. Es proposa la renovació del parc de bombers com un projecte de context, de transformació d'una trama urbana que ha generat espais públics sense qualitat. Uns espais que generen problemes socials degut a la falta de context en el que són habitats. Mitjançant tres estratègies d'actuació es fa la colonització una franja de buit urbà que connecta amb l'antiga llera del riu Túria, i que es veu travessada per una traça històrica, el camí de Ruzafa, al llarg del qual la ciutat ha anat creixent. L'edifici es planteja com una topografia artificial situada en aquesta intersecció i que serveix com a punt central d'activació urbana a través dels espais d'exposició i participació del museu. Les diferents parts del parc de bombers (administració, museu i servei d'emergències) s'articulen al voltant del pati de maniobres facilitant la interrelació entre les diferents àrees.

The fire chief at Wolford is John Johner and his assistant is Cliff Lunde. Both men are credited with having been the moving spirits in the project. Johner spent his vacation last fall working on the firehall building. Wolford has no municipal water system, but it has access to cisterns around town, and of course, has to go in heavily for the use of chemicals in the fighting of fires. Grand Forks AFB is proposing to construct a new fire station, demolish buildings 530 and 606 and relocate the Hazardous Cargo Area (HCA). The purposes of the project are to consolidate fire protection activities to provide effective base fire protection, provide a modern, efficient layout to meet life safety codes for standard of living, provide adequate space for fire hoses to dry, provide adequate clearance for parking large emergency response vehicles, provide antiterrorism and force protection requirements, and provide efficient HV AC and utilities infrastructure. The proposed location at the HCA will provide use of the existing flight line fence in a location close to the airfield, ensure responders meet USAF and DoD airfield response time requirements (3 minutes for aircraft emergencies) for fire protection with a location that is centrally located on the flight line, and eliminate the need for a secondary fire station. Demolition of 530 and 606 will remove excess buildings and utilities that represent sources of potential contamination, such as asbestos and lead-based paint. Removal of these buildings will provide prime space on the flight line for future projects. The alternative action analyzed in this EA is the Prior Approved Fire Station site. This location has been analyzed in two prior EAs in 2003 and 2006. In the early 2009, new information pertaining to the corner of 10th Avenue and Eielson Street came to light. The site is adjacent to the existing road to the Combat Arms Training and Maintenance (CATM) located north of the proposed site. Because of antiterrorism/ force protection (ATIFP) and engineer construction requirements, the fire station proposed at the prior approved site will need additional requirements. An Environmental Assessment (EA) was prepared to evaluate potential environmental impacts of the Proposed Action and alternatives. The EA is attached to this Finding of No Significant Impact and Finding of No Practicable Alternative document, Attached Environmental Assessment begins on p. 8. "Bill" Shemorry was a native of Williston, N.D. who began work in the newspaper industry as a newsboy selling the Williston Herald and the Williams County Farmers Press. In 1953, he started to publish the Williston Plains Reporter, which he operated for 25 years before selling to the Williston Herald. Shemorry then began to concentrate on his own writing and photography. In addition to writing many books on the history of Williams County, he also collected photographs of early North Dakota photographers. Shemorry was an active member of the Williston Fire Department, was Civil Defense Chief of Williams County for three years in the 1950's, and was a combat photographer in World War II. Shemorry's photograph of the discovery of oil in North Dakota on April 4, 1951 at the Clarence Iverson No. 1 is one of the most famous oil photographs ever taken, and was published in many national publications.

Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, Title 42 United States Code 4321, this EA has been prepared to analyze the potential environmental consequences of the proposed action. The proposed project would involve the construction of a new fire station. The analysis in this EA illustrates that none of the environmental impacts from the proposed action would be significant if the required/recommended minimization measures are followed.

We are providing this project assessment report for your information and use. We assessed the in-process construction work being performed for the Basrah International Airport Terminal and Tower Renovation, Basrah, Iraq, to determine its status and whether intended objectives will be achieved. This assessment was made to provide you and other interested parties with real-time information on a relief and reconstruction project underway and in order to enable appropriate action to be taken, if warranted. The assessment team included a professional engineer and an auditor. The comments received from the Commander, Gulf Region Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the Director, Iraq Reconstruction Management Office, in response to a draft of this report addressed the issues raised and the actions taken should correct the issues we identified.

The objective of this project assessment was to provide real-time relief and reconstruction project information to interested parties in order to enable appropriate action, when warranted. Specifically, we determined whether: 1. Project results were consistent with original objectives; 2. Project components were adequately designed prior to construction or installation; 3. Construction or rehabilitation met the standards of the design; 4. The Contractor's Quality Control (CQC) plan and the U.S. Government's Quality Assurance (QA) program were adequate; and 5. Sustainability was addressed.

The new Engine House No. 18 was dedicated on February 9, 2006. The 2-story 21,614 square foot building cost $4.3 million. The House Captain at the time of the dedication was Steven B. Heselden.The final move of equipment into the station was made 4/10/2006.

El objeto del presente proyecto, tratará la rehabilitación y reforma, y el posterior cambio de uso, del edificio de la antigua fábrica de “Can Suris”, construida alrededor del año 1897, y que contempla la rehabilitación integral de una parte de la estructura, de las fachadas y de la cubierta, y la reforma de otra parte de la estructura para destinarlo al servicio de un parque de bomberos. El proyecto incorpora la previsión de los espacios de comunicación vertical (escalera principal y de emergencia, ascensores), servicios e instalaciones para un programa determinado que tiene el objetivo de satisfacer todas las necesidades requeridas en el nuevo uso que se le dará a la construcción ya existente.
