Connectivity has a major role in the current transformation of smart manufacturing. 5G is foreseen as an integral part of an end-to-end networking infrastructure supporting smart manufacturing operation. The integration of 5G with time-sensitive networking (TSN)is seen as a holistic communication solution for smart factories. The next generation of industrialization consists of real-time processes, automation, fixed and cellular networks, and high diversity of devices. The integration of fixed and cellular devices in a single infrastructure to enable end-to-end deterministic communications requires high accuracy of time synchronization. The transport technologies in fixed networks have been evolving toward TSN and deterministic networking to fulfill the requirements for industrial communications. The latest cellular specifications for 5G are targeting ultra-reliable and low-latency communications that enable the Industrial Internet of Things. This article describes the state of the art for integrating TSN with 5G networks based on the support given in 3GPP TS 23.501 Release 16. The requirements for time synchronization in factory automation and integration with 5G networks are presented, together with the most recent advancements in the standardization process.

The indirect effect (via alcohol use) was greater for injuries and academic problems than for more general outcomes such as life dissatisfaction and negative body image. For social, enhancement and coping motives, we found positive indirect effects (via alcohol use) on injuries and academic problems; the association was negative for conformity motives. The direct effect, that is, the effect above and beyond alcohol use, indicated more negative consequences among those who tended to drink more frequently for coping motives. More negative consequences, such as injuries and negative body image, were also found among those who drink for conformity motives. The pattern of association was largely comparable across countries. Discussion and Conclusion. While the actual mean level of drinking motives, alcohol use and adverse consequence varied across countries, the consistency of association patterns implies that drinking motive-inspired health promotion efforts are likely to be beneficial across Europe. Background: The European Heart Failure Self-Care Behaviour Scale (EHFScBS) was developed and tested to measure behaviours that heart failure patients perform to maintain daily life activities, healthy functioning, and wellbeing. Psychometrics validation of several language versions has been published. Purpose: The aim of this study was to review the psychometric properties of the scale. Methods: Following PRISMA guidelines, PubMed, Scopus and ScienceDirect were searched in November 2015. Papers examining the psychometric properties of the EHFScBS-12 and/or the EHFScBS-9 were included to analyse validity and reliability. Results: From total of 1357 potentially eligible abstracts screened 74 full-text papers were retrieved and reviewed and 13 studies were eventually included in the review. Nine of the included studies investigated the psychometric properties of the EHFScBS-12 and five of the EHFScBS-9.The results demonstrated satisfactory content, discriminantand convergent validity of the translated versions of both scales across the samples. Discriminant validity of the scale was confirmed through its low associations with measures of the quality of life, while its convergent validity was supported through its small/moderate associations with measures of adherence. Regarding the construct validity, the factorial structure of the scales was inconsistent, but the consulting behaviour factor was recognized in all of the studies. Most commonly used reliability estimates (e.g.Cronbach’s alpha) for the total scale were satisfactory. Conclusion(s): Published data demonstrate satisfactory psychometric properties of the EHFScBS, indicating that the scale is a reliable and valid tool for clinical practice.

Geographical analyses confirmed that adolescents from southern/central European countries drank more frequently, but those from northern Europe reported being drunk more often. The strong indirect effects demonstrate that some of the cultural differences in drinking are because of higher levels of social, enhancement, and coping motives in northern than in southern/central Europe. CONCLUSIONS: The results from the largest drinking motive study conducted to date suggest that gender-specific prevention should take differences in the motivational pathways toward (heavy) drinking into account, that is, positive reinforcement seems to be more important for boys and negative reinforcement for girls. Social motives were consistently related to drinking, and coping to alcohol-related problems. Discussion and Conclusions. It seems that the DMQ-R SF is a useful instrument for measuring the motivation to engage in drinking in recreational settings, such as parties, clubs and festivals, where hard-to-reach target groups vulnerable to risky drinking behaviour are present, but time for filling out questionnaires is restricted. In order to extend the experimental database relevant for the astrophysical gamma-process towards the unexplored heavier mass region, the cross sections of the 151Eu(alpha,gamma)155Tb and 151Eu(alpha,n)154Tb reactions have been measured at low energies between 12 and 17 MeV using the activation technique. The results are compared with the predictions of statistical model calculations and it is found that the calculations overestimate the cross sections by about a factor of two. A sensitivity analysis shows that this discrepancy is caused by the inadequate description of the alpha+nucleus channel. A factor of two reduction of the reaction rate of 151Eu(alpha,gamma)155Tb in gamma-process network calculations with respect to theoretical rates using the optical potential by McFadden and Satchler (1966) is recommended., Comment: Accepted for publication in J. By offering a logical account of this model, the existence of a `naive' logic underlying human information processing is revealed, which in turn opens the way towards a Peircean semiotic characterization of the cognitive model. `Naive' logic is a procedure generating relations between collections of qualia, in the sense of agreement, possibility, and (relative) difference. It is suggested that those relations have common meaning aspects shared with Boolean relations on two variables. The close relationship between the process model of cognitive activity on the one hand, and the Peircean signs on the other enables the cognitive model to be interpreted as a meaningful process, and the Peircean classification of signs as a process, generating meaning aspects or parameters of (meaningful) interpretation. In conformity with the fundamental nature of cognitive activity, it is suggested that the process model of cognitive activity may be uniformly applied for modeling different knowledge domains. This hypothesis is tested for the domain of `naive' logical, syntactic, semantic syntactic, reasoning and mathematical symbols. Each of these models consists in a specification of a recognition process (parser) and a definition of combinatory properties of primary entities (lexicon). An advantage of the proposed theory is that adjustments of the model of a domain, for example, in order to cope with new phenomena, may only require an adjustment of the lexicon, not the parser, which can be invariantly used. An advantage of uniform knowledge representation is that it may reduce the hard problem of merging complex signs obtained in different domains to the more simple task of structural coordination. Such a representation is used in this thesis for the definition of a technique for text summarization.

An advantage of the proposed theory is that adjustments of the model of a domain, for example, in order to cope with new phenomena, may only require an adjustment of the lexicon, not the parser, which can be invariantly used. An advantage of uniform knowledge representation is that it may reduce the hard problem of merging complex signs obtained in different domains to the more simple task of structural coordination. Such a representation is used in this thesis for the definition of a technique for text summarization.

By offering a logical account of this model, the existence of a `naive' logic underlying human information processing is revealed, which in turn opens the way towards a Peircean semiotic characterization of the cognitive model. `Naive' logic is a procedure generating relations between collections of qualia, in the sense of agreement, possibility, and (relative) difference. It is suggested that those relations have common meaning aspects shared with Boolean relations on two variables. The close relationship between the process model of cognitive activity on the one hand, and the Peircean signs on the other enables the cognitive model to be interpreted as a meaningful process, and the Peircean classification of signs as a process, generating meaning aspects or parameters of (meaningful) interpretation. In conformity with the fundamental nature of cognitive activity, it is suggested that the process model of cognitive activity may be uniformly applied for modeling different knowledge domains. This hypothesis is tested for the domain of `naive' logical, syntactic, semantic syntactic, reasoning and mathematical symbols.
