One of the crucial metabolic processes for both plant and animal kingdoms is the oxidation of the amino acid tryptophan (TRP) that regulates plant growth and controls hunger and sleeping patterns in animals. Here, we report revolutionary insights into how this process can be crucially affected by interactions with metal oxide nanoparticles (NPs), creating a toolbox for a plethora of important biomedical and agricultural applications. Molecular mechanisms in TRP-NP interactions were revealed by NMR and optical spectroscopy for ceria and titania and by X-ray single-crystal study and a computational study of model TRP-polyoxometalate complexes, which permitted the visualization of the oxidation mechanism at an atomic level. Nanozyme activity, involving concerted proton and electron transfer to the NP surface for oxides with a high oxidative potential, like CeO2 or WO3, converted TRP in the first step into a tricyclic organic acid belonging to the family of natural plant hormones, auxins. TiO2, a much poorer oxidant, was strongly binding TRP without concurrent oxidation in the dark but oxidized it nonspecifically via the release of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in daylight.

Plant classification is vital for ecological conservation and agricultural productivity, enhancing our understanding of plant growth dynamics and aiding species preservation. The advent of deep learning (DL) techniques has revolutionized this field by enabling autonomous feature extraction, significantly reducing the dependence on manual expertise. However, conventional DL models often rely solely on single data sources, failing to capture the full biological diversity of plant species comprehensively. Recent research has turned to multimodal learning to overcome this limitation by integrating multiple data types, which enriches the representation of plant characteristics. This shift introduces the challenge of determining the optimal point for modality fusion. In this paper, we introduce a pioneering multimodal DL-based approach for plant classification with automatic modality fusion. Utilizing the multimodal fusion architecture search, our method integrates images from multiple plant organs-flowers, leaves, fruits, and stems-into a cohesive model. Our method achieves 83.48% accuracy on 956 classes of the PlantCLEF2015 dataset, surpassing state-of-the-art methods. It outperforms late fusion by 11.07% and is more robust to missing modalities. We validate our model against established benchmarks using standard performance metrics and McNemar's test, further underscoring its superiority.

In modern society, changes in the environment that arise under the influence of anthropogenic factors, an increase in the number of salts of heavy metals, which are teratogens and can provoke disorders in the development of organs, are the object of interest. One such compound is lead acetate. Lead acetate has a high polytropic toxicity. The heart and the vascular system are sensitive to the effects of lead compounds, during the prenatal and postnatal period. Purpose. To study the ultrastructural manifestations of the cardiotoxic effect of lead acetate on the morphogenesis of the heart. Methods. On the 1st and 7th day after birth, rat pups were dissected and hearts were taken for electron microscopic examination. The research was carried out using a transmission electron microscope. Electronograms were obtained by taking ultra-thin sections on Agfa orthochromatic film. The diameter and bulk density of mitochondria, the length of sarcomeres of contractile myofibrils, and the bulk density of myofibrils were quantified. Results. The structure of the myocardium at the level of the right ventricle was investigated by the method of electron microscopy. A comparative analysis of the ultrastructure of cardiomyocytes and morphometric indicators, which may indicate dystrophic changes, was conducted. The decrease in the density of myofibrils in our own studies was detected already on the first day of the exposure of lead acetate. Changes in the density of myofibrils on day 7 were not detected, indicating a certain stability of these protein structures. At the same time, the length of sarcomeres was reduced. These changes should not be considered as a manifestation of the recovery process, since a significant number of myofibers have suffered damage. Information and Communication Technology advances fostered distance learning creation and enabled individuals to participate in the education process via various web-based platforms and study entirely online. Thus, the notion of e-learning and distance learning emerged. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) appeared as part of e-learning in 2008 and attracted great interest, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was anticipated that this kind of study also could be integrated into higher education and revolutionize the learning approach. However, several issues related to MOOCs limit their full potential. One of the most significant problems is substantial rate of learners’ attrition. It was discovered that only 5-10 percent of MOOC learners complete a course. This thesis aims to examine what influences individuals’ decision to leave MOOCs and how learners perceive various course components to get ideas regarding how MOOCs could be enhanced. To do this, the mixed-method study was undertaken where quantitative data analysis of learners’ reviews from discussion forums and qualitative interviews were adopted. It allowed to get two perspectives and broaden the thesis out- come. For the current research, data was collected from six courses in three different subjects-«Health», «Art and Humanity/Design» and «Computer/Data Science». In the first part of the work, sentiment analysis and topic modeling using Python packages were carried out, and then the results were used to construct an interview questionnaire. Lexicon-based sentiment analysis technique and LDA topic modeling algorithm were utilized and proved to be robust methods to extract texts’ polarity and peoples’ opinions. Improving the longitudinal modes coupling in layered spherical structure contributes significantly to corneal terahertz sensing, which plays a crucial role in the early diagnosis of cornea dystrophies. Using a steel sphere to calibrate reflection from the cornea sample assists in enhancing the resolution of longitudinal modes. The requirement and challenges toward applying the calibration sphere are introduced and addressed. Six corneas with different properties are spotted to study the effect of perturbations in the calibration sphere in a frequency range from 100 GHz to 600 GHz. A particle-swarm optimization algorithm is employed to quantify corneal characteristics considering cases of accurately calibrated and perturbed calibrated scenarios. For the first case, the study is carried out with signal-to-noise values of 40 dB, 50 dB and 60 dB at waveguide bands WR-5.1, WR-3.4, and WR-2.2. As expected, better estimation is achieved in high-SNR cases. Furthermore, the lower waveguide band is revealed as the most proper band for the assessment of corneal features. For perturbed cases, the analysis is continued for the noise level of 60 dB in the three waveguide bands. Coupling to longitudinal modes of thin spherical shells, under Gaussian-beam illumination, was explored with a theoretical method based on Fourier-optics analysis and vector spherical harmonics and was scrutinized with an experimental setup. For the theory part, the illumination frequency band was fixed between 100–600 GHz and the outer spherical shell radius of curvature and thickness are 7.5 mm and 0.5 mm, respectively. The shell material was either the lossless cornea or an aqueous effective media representing the cornea. Six different beam-target strategies were introduced being potential candidates for maximum coupling. Two dispersion-tuned beam ensembles with strongly frequency-dependent phase center location have been created with a fixed incident beam 1/e radius and radius of curvature called forward strategies. These computations of different alignments were continued with four beam ensembles of frequency-invariant phase center, constructed from fits to experimental data, oriented at four different axial locations with respect to the spherical shell center of curvature, they are called reverse strategies. Coupling efficiency for all strategies was calculated for different targets including perfect electrical conductor (PEC) sphere, PEC core covered by a cornea loss-free layer and cornea. All scattering strategies contrasted to scattering from equivalent planar targets as a reference with maximum coupling. The results show that, under an ideal calibration, forward strategies are a closer approximation to the plane-wave condition for the cornea. An experimental setup was assembled to explore the simulation approach in a frequency range between 220 GHz to 330 GHz. Two different quartz samples with permittivity of 4.1 were mounted on a water core, acting for a cornea. The first and second quartz radius and thickness were 7.5 mm and 0.5 mm and 8 mm and 1 mm, respectively. An adequate agreement between theory and experiment was confirmed. Ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.) is an invasive plant species from the American continent, which has actively penetrated plant communities, displacing local species of cultivated and weed vegetation. The uncontrolled development and widespread distribution of ragweed in the South of Russia are associated with the absence of natural enemies of this weed. Ragweed is not only a competitor of cultivated and weed plants but also causes allergic diseases. The ragweed moth (Tarachidia candefacta Hbn.) was imported from Canada as a biological agent to control ragweed's development and distribution. We used the mass release of herbiphage into agrocenoses during the emergence of ragweed, which implies an artificial shift in the phenophase of the bioagent, which was achieved by early mass dilution on an artificial nutrient medium (ANM) under laboratory conditions. To cultivate the ragweed moth, the ANM was improved by adding powdered milk as a source of protein and vitamins to the composition, which made it possible to improve the quality of the environment and improve the biological indicators of the development of the bioagent. Replacement of wheat germ with soybean meal in ANM made it possible to obtain a feed balanced in protein and amino acid composition for growing herbiphage. As a result of the research, a method of colonization of the ragweed moth was developed, based on the early mass cultivation of herbiphage on an improved formulation of ANM and the release of T. candefacta at the beginning of the growing season of the weed, which allowed to suppress its growth by half., La ambrosía (Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.) es una especie vegetal invasora del continente americano, que ha penetrado activamente en las comunidades vegetales, desplazando especies locales de vegetación cultivada y maleza. La ambrosía no solo es un competidor de las plantas cultivadas y las malas hierbas, sino que también causa enfermedades alérgicas. La polilla de la ambrosía (Tarachidia candefacta Hbn.) fue importada de Canadá como agente biológico para el control de la ambrosía para controlar el desarrollo y la distribución de la ambrosía. Utilizamos el método de liberación masiva de herbífagos en agrocenosis durante el período de emergencia de la ambrosía, lo que implica un cambio artificial en la fenofase del bioagente, que se logró mediante una dilución masiva temprana en un medio nutritivo artificial (ANM) en condiciones de laboratorio. Para el cultivo de la polilla de la ambrosía se mejoró el ANM al agregar leche en polvo como fuente de proteína y vitaminas a la composición, lo que permitió mejorar la calidad del ambiente y mejorar los indicadores biológicos del desarrollo del bioagente. La sustitución del germen de trigo por harina de soya en ANM permitió obtener un alimento balanceado en composición proteica y aminoacídica para el cultivo de herbófagos. Como resultado de la investigación, se desarrolló un método de colonización de la polilla de la ambrosía, basado en el cultivo masivo temprano de herbifagos en una formulación mejorada de ANM y la liberación de T. candefacta al comienzo de la temporada de crecimiento de la maleza que permitió suprimir su crecimiento a la mitad.

The effect of a protective coating of fused lithium borate, Li3BO3, on the physicochemical and electrochemical characteristics of LiCoO2 has been studied. A cathode material produced by the SCS method using binary organic fuel, glycine and citric acid. The influence of the experiment conditions on the morphology, crystal structure and specific surface of lithium cobaltite was studied. Electrochemical testing of LiCoO2∙nLi3BO3 samples, n = 5 and 7 mass %, has been performed in the cathode Li|Li+-electrolyte|LiCoO2∙nLi3BO3 half-cell using 1M LiPF6 in EC/DMC mixture (1:1) as electrolyte in the 2.7-4.3 V range at normalized discharge current С/10, С/5, С/2. The maximal initial discharge capacity of 185 mAh/g was detected for the samples with 5 mass % Li3BO3. The coulomb efficiency of optimal materials in the 40th cycle was 99.1%.

Soybean is a valuable crop in many countries of the world. The world sowing area of soybeans is about 100 million hectares. It is grown in the main agricultural regions of 90 countries. To obtain a stable yield level, it is necessary to take into account the activity of arthropod organisms, both harmful and beneficial. The species composition of arthropods of soybean agro enosis in the central zone of Krasnodar Krai has been determined. 227 species of insects and 2 species of mites were identified, including 98 species of phytophages damaging soybeans and 129 species of entomophages. These insects are distributed in 9 orders, 51 families. The most dangerous phytophages of soybeans account for 9.3% of the total number of species. Cotton moth (Helicoverpa armigera Hbn), lima-bean pod borer (Etiella zinckenella Tr.) and common spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch) are widescalephytophages. We assessed the biological efficacy of the ectoparasite Habrobracon hebetor Say against E. zinckenella, this approach does not provide for total destruction, but regulation of the number by restoring the natural mechanisms of regulation. Artificial breeding of the entomophage and its early introduction into soybean cenosis allows us to effectively control the number of E. zinckenella. We described the prospects of using entomohages in green farming technologies.

Diese Fragen werden im Rahmen einer Studie zur Semantik der in elektronischen und in Print-Medien am häufigsten verwendeten Anglizismen behandelt., The paper deals with the question of whether excessive use of Anglicisms is observed in the modern German language. As a crucial linguistic reason for the frequent use of Anglicisms their eurysemy (semantic vagueness) is considered. The digital transformation of the media industry is seen as an extra-linguistic reason. These questions are treated by a study on the semantics of Anglicisms most commonly used in electronic and print media.

A custom aspheric axicon lens for corneal water content sensing, operating from 220 to 330 GHz, was evaluated with spherical, dielectric shell targets. The lens consisted of a hyperbolic back surface and conical front surface with a 25-degree axicon angle. An 8 mm radius of curvature, 1 mm thick, air backed dome was placed in the beam path and S11 acquired at numerous axial offsets between dome and axicon. The data was normalized by equivalent radius of curvature metallic spherical reflectors. Fits to reflectivity data ranged from e = 4.1 and t = 0.89 mm and e= 4.16 and t = 0.885 for lens-tip to shell-apex distances of 34 mm and 25 mm respectively. The article discusses the results of an experimental effect of cadmium chloride / cadmium citrate on the cardiogenesis in conditions of intragastric administration to pregnant female rats. The aspect of accumulation of cadmium salts in the heart of the embryo was studied under the condition of daily administration of a salt solution to female rats from the first day of pregnancy to the end of embryogenesis (20 days). In addition to the groups of isolated cadmium administration, there were groups of combined administration of cadmium salts with citrates of germanium, cerium, and the iodine + sulfur composite. The second task was to study the effect of the studied salt solutions on the cardiogenesis of rat’s embryos, for which serial histological sections of the heart were made. The thickness of the compact myocardium of the heart chambers was measured as the main indicator of cardiogenesis. The use of multielement analysis showed that the highest level of cadmium accumulation was found in the group of isolated cadmium citrate administration against the background of a decrease in the zinc content in the heart tissues of the embryo. It has been proven that cadmium citrate maintains a high level of accumulation in the groups with combined administration of cerium citrate, germanium citrate, iodine + sulfur citrate composites, but in these groups the level of zinc in the myocardium significantly increases, which can be regarded as an element of the compensatory effect of cerium citrate, germanium and composite iodine + sulfur.The effect of the indicated doses of cadmium salts on cardiogenesis in rats was reflected in the thickness of the myocardial layer of all chambers of the heart in different ways: cadmium chloride thickened the walls of the left and right ventricles, both atria with a thickening of the interventricular septum. The aim of this work was to develop a method of RP HPLC for the quantitative determination of aminocaproic acid in a complex nasal drug.Materials and methods. A solution of aminocaproic acid and a solution of a complex model mixture containing aminocaproic acid were used for the study purposes. A method used for sample preparation was derivatization of aminocaproic acid with dansyl chloride. A method of quantitative determination was RP HPLC analysis with UV detection at 288 nm.Results. The obtained data confirm the specificity, linearity, and correctness of the method proposed for quantitative analysis. Therewith, the correlation coefficient, limit of detection, limit of quantification and relative standard deviation (RSD) are R=0.9998, LOD=4.6·10-5 g/mL, LOQ=1.4·10-4 g/mL, and RSD=1.16% respectively.Conclusions. A method of RP HPLC for the quantitative determination of aminocaproic acid in a complex nasal drug has been developed and its validation assessment has been carried out according to the following validation parameters: specificity, accuracy, linearity, and precision (repeatability). The Arctic is a specific geographical region with extreme climate conditions, vulnerable environment, but rather intensive ongoing industrialization. The Arctic requires alternative solutions to provide energy supply to the energy consumers due to the growing energy demand and small-scale decentralized character of energy supply. At the moment, the largest part of energy consumption in the region is covered by hydrocarbon energy resources delivered from the mainland. Renewable energy technologies may be efficiently implemented to cover the needs of small scale decentralized energy consumers in the Russian Arctic, but at the moment they are applied on a very modest scale. The current study analyses and discusses the main challenges and risks related to renewable energy resources use in the Russian Arctic. Статья посвящена анализу сюжетов и источников, положивших начало теме ориентализма в русском фарфоре в XVIII и XIX вв. Представляется весьма важным выделить постепенный процесс развития мотивов ориентализма в русском фарфоре и показать их эволюцию, а также необходимо ответить на вопрос: почему именно ориенталистские мотивы выбирались заказчиками фарфора и какую роль они играли в тот или иной период времени для декоративно-прикладного искусства Российской империи. В статье представлен последовательный анализ эволюции ориенталистских мотивов в русском фарфоре XVIII–XIX вв. В работе применен метод формально-стилистического анализа. Использование данного метода позволяет изучить стилистическое происхождение ориенталистских мотивов: в рамках какой традиции, стиля и почему появилась мода на мотивы ориентализма в фарфоре. Также в статье реализован историко-генетический метод, выраженный в попытке проследить рождение и развитие феномена ориенталистских мотивов на основе литературы, исторических источников и фарфоровых предметов. Применяя методы исторического и культурного анализа, в работе исследуются и освещаются исторические основы возникновения и развития мотивов ориентализма в русском фарфоре. Кроме того, данные методы уместно применить, чтобы понять, как вкусовые предпочтения заказчиков фарфора в Российской империи во второй половине XVIII–XIX вв. повлияли на стилистическое формирование «восточных» мотивов. Корпус источников представлен, в первую очередь, фарфоровыми изделиями XVIII и XIX вв., альбомами гравюр и узорными книгами фарфоровых заводов, содержащими рисунки и разработки моделей для фарфоровых изделий. It seems important to single out stages of the incremental development of orientalist motifs in Russian porcelain and describe their evolution. Additionally, the authors aim to clarify why orientalist motifs were chosen by porcelain collectors and buyers and what role they played in arts and crafts in Russian Empire at different times. The article presents a consistent analysis of the evolution of orientalist motifs in 18th–19th centuries Russian porcelain. This study employs methods of formal and stylistic analysis. The use of these methods allows the authors to study the stylistic origins of orientalist motifs answering the question regarding the framework of its stylistic tradition and why a fashion emerged for the motifs described in this research. Furthermore, the researchers use the historical-genetic method trying to trace the emergence and development of the phenomenon of orientalist motifs on the basis of literature, historical sources, and porcelain objects. By applying methods of historical analysis and cultural analysis, this paper investigates and highlights the historical background of the emergence and development of orientalist motifs in Russian porcelain. Additionally, these methods are appropriate to understand how the taste preferences of customers of porcelain in the Russian Empire between the second half of the 18th and the 19th centuries influenced the stylistic formation of orientalist motifs. The sources of the study are mostly porcelain items made between the 18th and the 19th centuries, albums of engravings and pattern books of porcelain manufactures, containing drawings and model designs for porcelain items. We have identified a precursor that differentiates into granulocytes in vitro and in vivo yet belongs to the monocytic lineage. We have termed these cells monocyte-like precursors of granulocytes (MLPGs). Under steady state conditions, MLPGs were absent in the spleen and barely detectable in the bone marrow (BM). In contrast, these cells significantly expanded in tumor-bearing mice and differentiated to polymorphonuclear myeloid-derived suppressor cells (PMN-MDSCs). Selective depletion of monocytic cells had no effect on the number of granulocytes in naive mice but decreased the population of PMN-MDSCs in tumor-bearing mice by 50%. The expansion of MLPGs was found to be controlled by the down-regulation of Rb1, but not IRF8, which is known to regulate the expansion of PMN-MDSCs from classic granulocyte precursors. In cancer patients, putative MLPGs were found within the population of CXCR1+CD15-CD14+HLA-DR-/lo monocytic cells. These findings describe a mechanism of abnormal myelopoiesis in cancer and suggest potential new approaches for selective targeting of MDSCs. © 2019 Mastio et al.

The authors consider short prose, an intensively developing multifaceted genre of both traditional and digital literature. There are no strict limitations as regards its volume, so it may vary from a number of pages to a sentence. To function, texts with high levels of “hypoverbalisation” (intentional scarcity of verbal representation) rely on the assumption that readers share some common ore knowledge and life experience, including knowledge of other literary texts, with the author and are capable of logical analysis and reflection. Thus, in short prose, the reader in fact becomes a co-author, reconstructing the facts and events of the text, and an interpreter, structuring and shaping the space of the text. The main methods to compress the text are references to the reader’s life experience, background pragmatic and scholarly knowledge, and precedent phenomena. The paper focuses on the particularly interesting phenomenon of discourse transformation. A text created by author-1 as a non-literary text is perceived by reader-1 and identified as a text with literary value; in this case, reader-1 becomes author-2 and presents a text residing on another level to the reader. The public’s attention to this kind of literature has given rise to a number of websites that publish quotes from real emails, text messages, forums, chats, life stories, short philosophic essays, and comments on events. Such quotations often include metalinguistic humour, which may indicate users’ increased interest in transformational processes in the contemporary Russian language. It is also a demonstration of their linguistic creativity, reflected in the coining of new lexical units, providing existing words with new meanings, and the innovative use of graphics., Предметом рассмотрения автора стала короткая, или малая проза – интенсивно развивающееся многоаспектное явление, относящееся как к традиционной, так и к сетевой литературе. Основными способами, позволяющими автору сократить произведение, являются отсылки к жизненному опыту читателя, фоновым знаниям прагматического и научного характера, прецедентным феноменам. Особый интерес представляет процесс дискурсивной трансформации, заключающийся в том, что текст, создающийся автором-1 как нелитературный, может быть воспринят читателем как достойный преобразования в литературное произведение; в этом случае читатель-1 превращается в автора-2 и представляет текст читателям второго уровня. Внимание публики к подобного рода литературе стало причиной появления в интернет-пространстве многочисленных развлекательных сайтов, на которых публикуются цитаты из реальных электронных писем, СМС, с форумов, из чатов, а также «истории из жизни», короткие философские рассуждения, комментарии каких-либо событий и т. д. Отмечается появление особого «металингвистического юмора» как свидетельства интереса авторов и читателей к процессам, происходящим в русском языке на современном этапе, и стремление к лингвокреативности, проявляющейся в создании новых лексических единиц, переосмыслении значений, инновационном применении графических средств.

Purpose of the study – analysis of the scientific literature on generalization of the data on domestic and foreign experience in risk assessment due to exposure to finely dispersed aerosols and aerosols of nanoparticles (NPs).The article summarizes data of long-term studies on the effect of nanomaterials and nanoparticles on the quality of human habitat and health. The domestic and foreign experience of harm health assessment, safety of new types of nanomaterials for the environment and work-related conditions have been analyzed.There are numerous studies of foreign and domestic scientists on the biological activity of nanoparticles and their effect on experimental animals, namely, on the specificity of their effect on various organs and systems of the body.Classification of nanomaterials, depending on their chemical composition, is presented. Attention is paid to the problems of nanosafety, namely, to the evaluation of nanotoxicity of substances and to the definition of the concept of a “dose” for nanoparticles. The data on the presence of finely dispersed and ultra-fine particles in the atmospheric air, which increase risk of respiratory system diseases among residents of large megacities, is given. There is special importance on assessing work conditions and occupational risks in production and use of materials which contain nanoparticles as well as in production processes with formation of the fine dust and nanoparticles indicated in the article.Due to the lack of a clear system for assessing health risks related to the action of nanoparticles, lack of common criteria of harmfulness and maximum allowable concentrations for most nanoparticles and uniform methods of their control, it is suggested to strictly adhere to protective measures in contact with nanomaterials and active improvement of nanosecurity measures.Conclusions. Despite the measures taken by the Russian government to attract foreign scientists for work in Russian research organizations and universities, the level of incoming academic mobility to Russia remains extremely low. The paper provides quantitative estimates of the number of foreign researchers in different sectors of Russian science, and analyzes the attitude to the experience of their involvement on the part of the leaders of academic organizations. The work is based on the data of the Federal system for monitoring the performance of scientific organizations, as well as interview data with more than one hundred heads of Russian universities and research organizations. The analysis of the quantitative and qualitative data demonstrates that for Russian organizations, recruitment of foreign scientists is not a usual and widespread practice, and is often considered as a difficult task with non-obvious benefits. This practice differs in its scope and implementations across the R&D sectors. The internationalization process is most active in universities, which are supported by the governmental measures developed specifically for these purposes. Based on the identified barriers, the paper offers several recommendations to increase the involvement of foreign researchers, as this can significantly contribute to the promotion of the country’s integration into the world science., Несмотря на предпринимаемые государством меры по привлечению зарубежных ученых для работы в российских научных организациях и вузах, уровень входящей академической мобильности ученых в Россию остается невысоким. В работе приводятся количественные оценки численности иностранных исследователей в разных секторах российской науки, а также анализируется отношение к опыту их привлечения со стороны руководителей академических организаций. Работа основана на данных Федеральной системы мониторинга результативности деятельности научных организаций, а также данных интервью с более чем 100 руководителями российских вузов и научных организаций. Анализ количественных и качественных данных показывает, что для российских организаций привлечение иностранных ученых на данный момент не является обычной практикой и часто воспринимается как сложная задача с неочевидной выгодой. При этом практика найма зарубежных ученых и отношение к ней различаются в разных секторах науки. Наиболее активно интернационализация научных кадров происходит в вузах, что обусловлено государственными мерами поддержки и сопутствующими им требованиями. На основе выявленных барьеров выдвигаются предложения о мерах поддержки привлечения зарубежных ученых, которые могли бы способствовать более интенсивной интеграции России в мировое научное пространство.

Phase shifting in a dielectric rod waveguide (DRW), loaded with carbon nanotube (CNT) layers of different thickness, was studied experimentally under light illumination in the frequency range of 75-110 GHz. The dependence of efficiency of the phase shifting, in terms of phase shift per light intensity and millimeter wave attenuation, on the optical transparency of the CNT-layer is investigated in this paper. The best result, a phase shifter of 0-15° with less than 0.1 dB additional signal loss in the W-band was achieved for a 95% transparent CNT layer at 23 mW/mm2 light intensity of a tungsten halogen lamp (main radiation spectrum is 550-680 nm). The overall insertion loss of the phase shifter including two DRW tapering sections serving as transitions to rectangular waveguides are 3 to 5 dB in the W-band, about 2 dB is attributed to the CNT DRW section. This comprises, for the first time, an optically-controlled CNT-based DRW phase shifter with phase shift and insertion loss levels suitable for practical applications., QC 20171117

A new technique for measuring the number of single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and their concentration in a carbon nanotube layer is developed in this work. It is based on the G peak intensity of the Raman spectrum, together with precise mass and optical absorbance measurements. The dependence of the number of the carbon nanotubes on the phonon scattering intensity is observed. This method opens an opportunity for the quantitative mapping of sp2 carbon atom distribution in the SWCNT layers with a resolution limited by the focused laser spot size., QC 20170307
