Genetic sequencing, or DNA sequencing, using the Sanger technique has become widely used in the veterinary diagnostic community. This technology plays a role in verification of PCR results and is used to provide the genetic sequence data needed for phylogenetic analysis, epidemiologic studies, and forensic investigations. The Laboratory Technology Committee of the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians has prepared guidelines for sample preparation, submission to sequencing facilities or instrumentation, quality assessment of nucleic acid sequence data performed, and for generating basic sequencing data and phylogenetic analysis for diagnostic applications. This guidance is aimed at assisting laboratories in providing consistent, high-quality, and reliable sequence data when using Sanger-based genetic sequencing as a component of their laboratory services.

Розроблювана система включатиме в себе ядро з релевантною семантикою, що дозволить покрити усе поле цільових запитів та шаблони, за допомогою яких формуватимуться ключові слова з визначеними параметрами відповідності., In the modern world, the development of a product in the field of information technology is often associated with the placement of a large number of advertisements on the Internet. However, the ability to scale up marketing ads online is often limited by the price of a possible purchase through competitors-companies located on the same advertiser sites. The purpose of this research work is to increase the competitiveness of companies in the market for online advertising through the formation of the most relevant queries and thus finding a wider audience of target users. The proposed solution is to create analytical and software complex for automation of work with Google Ads system. The developed system will include a kernel with relevant semantics that will cover the entire field of targeted queries and templates that will help form key words with defined match parameters., В современном мире, развитие созданного продукта в сфере информационных технологий часто связано с размещением большого количества рекламы в сети интернет. Однако, возможность масштабирования рекламных объявлений в сети часто ограничивается ценой возможной закупки из-за компаний-конкурентов, которые размещаются на тех же рекламных площадках. Целью данной научно-исследовательской работы является повышение конкурентоспособности компаний на рынке закупки онлайн рекламы благодаря формированию наиболее релевантных запросов и нахождения таким образом более широкой аудитории целевых пользователей. Предлагаемым решением является создание аналитично-программного комплекса для автоматизации работы с системой Google Ads. Разрабатываемая система будет включать в себя ядро с релевантной семантикой, что позволит покрыть всё поле целевых запросов и шаблоны, с помощью которых будут формироваться ключевые слова с определенным параметром соответствия.

Intimate partner violence (IPV) is an important social problem, but historically the scientific research has focused mostly on the female victims. Several reviews exist on female victims, but no on male victims. The prevalence rates presented in the literature are very heterogeneous, which has been explained by variations in methodology, a lack of a clear recognized definition and a missing golden standard. This thesis reviews prevalence rates in studies on IPV with a male victim, and answers the following questions; (1) What are the total prevalence rates in relation to the different study characteristics and do we see any significant differences within these characteristics? (2) How does the definition of intimate partner violence and study characteristics affect the prevalence rate? (3) What type of relationship do we see between the quality of studies and prevalence rate?A systematic review has been carried out resulting in 49 relevant studies on male victims of IPV. The data from these 49 studies have been extracted based on the operationalization of “definition” in categories of type of violence, type of instrument and number of survey questions and in the operationalization of study quality based on a quality index by Looney et al. (2000). A students t-test and linear regression models was conducted to answer the research questions. This study finds that men are more often victims of psychological violence than physical violence, which is in contrast to female victims. The study also finds that the introduction of each of the definition-variables results in higher prevalence rates. This indicates, that factors related to the definition are important elements in the study of IPV prevalence in male victims.

The role of chemotherapy for unresectable malignant mesothelioma is unclear. The aims of the present study were to evaluate the methodological quality of published papers relative to chemotherapy or immunotherapy in malignant mesothelioma and to aggregate, for trials having a similar methodology, the response rates in order to identify the most active chemotherapeutic drugs and regimens. The literature relative to this topic, published between 1965 and June 2001 was reviewed. A methodological qualitative evaluation was performed according to the European Lung Cancer Working Party scale, specifically designed for phase II trials. A study was considered as potentially positive if the upper limit of the 95% confidence interval (CI) of the response rate was greater than 20% and positive if the lower limit of the 95% CI was >20%. Eighty-three studies (88 treatment arms) were eligible for the systematic review. Fifty-three arms were considered as positive or potentially positive. No statistically significant difference in the methodological quality was observed between negative and positive studies. Studies were aggregated in four groups according to the presence of cisplatin and/or doxorubicin in the treatment regimen. The combination of cisplatin and doxorubicin had the highest response rate (28.5%; P<0.001). Cisplatin was the most active single-agent regimen. Our systematic qualitative and quantitative overview of the literature suggests that the most active chemotherapeutic regimen, in term of objective response rate, is the combination of cisplatin and doxorubicin and the best single-agent is cisplatin. The combination of these two drugs can be recommended as control arm for future randomised phase III trials.
