Yellowtail kingfish have a poor faecal integrity when fed with pelleted diets which may be due to the presence of dietary starch. Moreover, whether dietary starch interacts with plant protein ingredients, is not known. In this study, we investigated the effect of dietary starch level, protein source and their interaction effect on faecal waste production and characteristics (visual appearance, faecal removal efficiency and particle size distribution (PSD)). Four diets were formulated according to a 2 × 2 factorial design (starch level × protein source). The effect of starch level was tested by either including 0% (LS - low starch, 4% starch) or 20% gelatinized wheat flour (HS - high starch, 20% starch). FM diets contained fish meal as protein source, whilst at FM/P diets approximately 65% of the fish meal was replaced by plant protein ingredients. Twelve tanks were stocked with 21 fish (mean initial weight 53 g) and fish performance, nutrient digestibility, faecal waste production and characteristics were evaluated over a 36-day experimental period. Both starch level and protein source affected the organic matter digestibility (p < 0.05). The effects of starch and protein source were additive regarding macro nutrient digestibility indicated by the absence of an interaction effect (p > 0.05). Growth was similar between the FM and FM/P at low starch diets (p < 0.05), but was reduced at the FM/P at high starch inclusion level (p < 0.05). The high starch and FM/P diets resulted in more faecal waste production (p < 0.05). Faecal integrity of yellowtail kingfish was adversely affected by starch inclusion. Fish receiving low starch diets excreted faecal pellets and short strings, while faecal waste collected from fish receiving high starch diets was classified as inconsistent. This was also reflected in a higher faecal removal efficiency and larger faecal PSD for fish receiving the low starch diets compared to the high starch diets (p < 0.05). Рассмотрен вопрос обеспечения эксплуатационной надежности разработанного вспомогательного оборудования для переработки отходов швейно-трикотажного производства., This paper investigates the possibility for using the proposed auxiliary equipment for processing the waste in sewing as well as knitting production and implementation of technology of reused yarn recycling, including using back winding of defective semi-finished products, spooling the thread with its simultaneous steaming and processing with emulsion to improve the properties of reused yarn. The main purpose of this article is to study the physical and mechanical properties of reused yarn in order to obtain high-quality products. The issue of ensuring the operational reliability of the developed auxiliary equipment for processing the waste in sewing and knitting production is considered.

Статья посвящена рассмотрению территориальных инновационных кластеров в условиях реализации круговой экономики. Автором на примере титановой отрасли проанализирован титановый территориальный инновационный кластер, установлены и изучены условия, факторы и направления осуществления реализации круговой экономики в данном кластере. Также был выполнен анализ отходов титанового производства. Делается вывод о том, что в кластере создаются необходимые условия и реализуются основные факторы «круговой экономики» и наблюдается эффективность ее использования., The article is devoted to the consideration of regional innovation clusters in the context of a circular economy implementation. Using the example of the titanium industry, the author analyzes the titanium regional innovation cluster, identifies and studies the conditions, factors, and directions for implementing circular economy policy in the cluster. The analysis of titanium production waste was also carried out. It is concluded that the necessary conditions are created in the cluster and the main factors of the circular economy are implemented and the effectiveness of its use is observed.

Рассматриваются основные принципы модели экономики замкнутого цикла (reduce, reuse, recycle – принцип «3R») и предлагается возможность перехода функционирования экономики с линейной модели на новую ресурсосберегающую, предусматривающую в том числе повторное использование и переработку отходов. В связи с этим анализируется текущая ситуация в Республике Беларусь по обращению с отходами в законодательном аспекте, а также динамика образования отходов производства и потребления за последние 8 лет. Выполняется прогнозная оценка количественных показателей образования отходов в среднесрочной перспективе на примере города Бреста для планирования внедрения принципов экономики замкнутого цикла.

The development in this area requires quality prognosis reflecting the analysed timeframe. The forecast of the waste production and composition of waste is an important aspect with regards to the planning in waste management. However, the regular prognostic methods are not appropriate for these purposes due to short time series of historical data and unavailability of socio-economic data. The paper proposes a general approach via mathematical model for forecasting of future waste-related parameters based on spatially distributed data with hierarchical structure. The approach is based on principles of regression analysis with final balance to ensure the compliance of aggregated data values. The selection of the regression function is a part of mathematical model for high-quality description of data trend. In addition, outlier values are cleared, which occur abundantly in the database. The decomposition of the model into subtasks is performed in order to simpler implementation and reasonable time solvability. The individual algorithm steps are applied to municipal waste production data in the Czech Republic.

The forecast of waste production and disposal is an important requirement for a future waste management planning. The problem is very often a short time series of the database. This paper suggests an approach to forecast the production of multiple waste types in micro-regions taking into account this challenge by combining many techniques. The heuristic methodology consisting of few steps is formulated. First, the input data are transformed and the methods from cluster analysis are repetitively applied. The second step is  about a determination of quality for trend functions based on historical data. In the last step is performed the  testing. The di erent type of representatives from cluster analysis is used to calculate indices of determination which are compared. This procedure is repeated until the criteria hit. The proposed approach reduced the  computational time and managed to aggregate micro-regions with a similar trend. The forecast should have contributions in terms of building new facilities or adaptations to the existing ones, where it is necessary to estimate the production of waste for several years in advance. The article includes a case study of production forecast for several waste types in territorial units of the Czech Republic. The forecast is based on data in years 2009{2014 and following year 2015 was used to assess the quality of the nal models. In the future, the database will expand and thus it will be possible to make more precise estimates and to develop statistical methods to measure this prognostic tool.

I organisationer finns det en överdriven användning av naturtillgångar då en del inte används till sitt primära syfte, vilket kan ses som en form av slöseri. Avfallsproduktion är ett område som dels utgör ett onödigt användande av naturliga resurser och samtidigt innebär kostnader för en organisation. Avfallsproduktion kan placeras in under interna kvalitetsbristkostnader som innefattar produkter med fel och brister som upptäcks vid tillverkning. Reduktion av defekta produkter och avfallsproduktion är ett överlappande områden mellan koncepten Lean och Green. Därmed blir det av stor vikt att effektivt reducera uppkomsten av felaktiga produkter och således minska sin avfallsproduktion för att uppnå en hållbar utveckling gällande miljö och ekonomi. Denna studie syftar till att undersöka vad det kan finnas för brister i en tillverkningsindustris hanterings- och dokumenteringsprocesser av producerat avfall som motverkar att det effektivt kan reduceras. Vidare är syftet att undersöka hur en lösning kan se ut som beaktar brister från två perspektiv, vilket är systemets nuvarande utformning med hänsyn till teori samt hur väl implementerat systemet är i praktiken. Genom en fallstudie på Cloetta Sverige AB i Ljungsbro som både arbetar utefter sitt egna Lean-2020 initiativ och med hållbar miljöutveckling, har en nulägesbeskrivning av hanterings- och dokumenteringsprocesser gjorts på en av fabrikens produktionslinjer. Teorier inom avfallshantering och kvalitetsstyrning har använts för att identifiera brister i deras nuläge men även utgjort en grund till de förbättringsförslag som utformat en lösning. Funna brister och utformad lösning har sedan bidragit till slutsatser som besvarar studiens syfte och tillhörande frågeställningar. I slutsatsen konstateras de tre största bristerna som bidrar till att fallföretaget inte kan effektivt angripa sin avfallsproduktion. Thus, it is of great importance to effectively reduce the occurrence of defective products and thus minimise the generation of solid waste in order to achieve a sustainable development in terms of environmental and economical concern. This study aims at investigating what deficiencies may exist in a manufacturing industry’s handling and documentation processes of produced waste, which counteracts that it can be effectively reduced. Furthermore, the purpose is to investigate how a solution can be formed taking all deficiencies into account from two perspectives, which is the system’s current design with references to theory and how well the system is implemented in practice. Through a case study at Cloetta Sweden AB in Ljungsbro, which works both on its own Lean-2020 initiative and with sustainable environmental development, a current state description of handling and documentation processes has been conducted on one of the factory’s production lines. Theories in waste and quality management have been used to identify deficiencies in their current processes, but also to form the basis of suggestions for improvement that shape a solution. Significant problematic issues, connected with wastes, which are present in Ukraine and abroad, have been determined.

V dnešní době, kdy neustále roste počet obyvatel na této planetě, je potřeba čím dál více pečovat o životní prostředí. Každý z nás působí na životní prostředí odlišným způsobem. Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na hodnocení vlivu rodinného domu na životní prostředí pomocí analytické metody hodnocení environmentálních dopadů (angl. Life Cycle Assessment). Práce se zaměřuje na vlivy spotřeby elektrické energie, plynu, vody, produkci odpadu a odpadních vod na životní prostředí. Pro doplnění byly vytvořeny ekomapy, které poukázaly na některé problémy z hlediska přístupu ochrany k životnímu prostředí. V závěru práce jsou porovnány zjištěné environmentální dopady s výsledky studie environmentálního vlivu domácnosti žijící v bytě. Dopady na životní prostředí jsou modelovány pomocí softwaru holandské firmy Pré Consultants – SimaPro., Nowadays, while there is a permanent increase of population, there is a bigger need of taking care of the environment. Every each of us has a different impact on the environment. This thesis is focused on a classification of impact of the family house on the environment using analytic methods of classification of environmental impacts (Life Cycle Assesment). This thesis is also focused on influences of consumption of electricity, gas and water, production waste and sewage water on the environment. For completion there were made ecomaps which refer to some problems of environmental protective policy. In the final section there is a comparison of founded environmental effects with the results of the study of environmental effects of flat households. In the research part of the thesis, the legislation setting the conditions of waste management is presented, the authorised packaging company EKO-KOM is introduced, including the remuneration calculator created. The practical part of the thesis describes the developed sub-tools and the balancing tool itself, which is the focus of the thesis. Subsequently, the waste stream is analysed and the waste treatment at the reference site is evaluated. Based on the processed data, the practical part leads to the development of techno-economic designs for the plastics processing plant and the energy transition.
