One of the difficulties one has to face in the future phenomenological studies of the new physics~(NP), is the need to deal with increasing amounts of data. It is therefore increasingly important to improve the efficiency in the phenomenological study of the NP. Whether it is the use of the Standard Model effective field theory~(SMEFT), the use of machine learning~(ML) algorithms, or the use of quantum computing, all are means of improving the efficiency. In this paper, we use a ML algorithm, the auto-encoder~(AE), to study the dimension-8 operators in the SMEFT which contribute to the gluon quartic gauge couplings~(gQGCs) at muon colliders. The AE is one of the ML algorithms that has the potential to be accelerated by the quantum computing. It is found that the AE-based anomaly detection algorithm can be used as event selection strategy to study the gQGCs at the muon colliders, and is effective compared with traditional event selection strategies., Comment: update journal reference

However, the potential mechanisms need additional investigation. Combining metabonomics and network pharmacology revealed the GDL pathway against WD-induced neuronal damage.Methods: The WD rat model with a high copper load was developed, and nerve damage was assessed. Total metabonomics was used to identify distinct hippocampus metabolites and enriched metabolic pathways in MetaboAnalyst. The GDL’s possible targets against WD neuron damage were then determined by network pharmacology. Cytoscape constructed compound metabonomics and pharmacology networks. Moreover, molecular docking and Real-Time Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-qPCR) validated key targets.Results: GDL reduced WD-induced neuronal injury. Twenty-nine GDL-induced metabolites may protect against WD neuron injury. According to network pharmacology, we identified three essential gene clusters, of which genes in cluster 2 had the most significant impact on the metabolic pathway. A comprehensive investigation identified six crucial targets, including UGT1A1, CYP3A4, CYP2E1, CYP1A2, PIK3CB, and LPL, and their associated core metabolites and processes. Four targets reacted strongly with GDL active components. GDL therapy improved five targets’ expression.Conclusion: This collaborative effort revealed the mechanisms of GDL against WD

Pituitary hormones can use local signaling molecules to regulate target tissue functions. In adult zebrafish testes, follicle-stimulating hormone (Fsh) strongly increases the production of insulin-like 3 (Insl3), a Leydig cell-derived growth factor found in all vertebrates. Little information is available regarding Insl3 function in adult spermatogenesis. The Insl3 receptors Rxfp2a and 2b were expressed by type A spermatogonia and Sertoli and myoid cells, respectively, in zebrafish testis tissue. Loss of insl3 increased germ cell apoptosis in males starting at 9 months of age, but spermatogenesis appeared normal in fully fertile, younger adults. Insl3 changed the expression of 409 testicular genes. Among others, retinoic acid (RA) signaling was up- and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (Pparg) signaling was down-regulated. Follow-up studies showed that RA and Pparg signaling mediated Insl3 effects, resulting in the increased production of differentiating spermatogonia. This suggests that Insl3 recruits two locally active nuclear receptor pathways to implement pituitary (Fsh) stimulation of spermatogenesis.
