Yüzyılımızın başlarında kökü itibariyle eski olmasına rağmen kullandık-ları argüman ve vurgular sebebiyle kendilerinden sıklıkla bahsedilen yeni bir ateist akım ortaya çıkmıştır. Yeni ateizmde klasik ateizmdeki maddenin eze-liliği, insanın evrimsel bir süreçle yaratılması ve kötülük olgusu yeniden formüle edilerek dile getirilmekle yetinilmeyip aynı zamanda bilim de buna payanda yapılarak suiistimal edilmektedir. İdeolojik bilim anlayışıyla yapı-lan faaliyetler ve buna bağlı olarak ileri sürülen argümanlar, birçok alan gibi inanç boyutunu da ilgilendirmektedir. Bu çalışmada son dönemlerde yeni ateizm vasıtasıyla farklı şekillerde kendini açığa çıkaran ideolojik bilimin anlam ve işlevi konu edinilerek kelâmî açıdan kritiği yapılmaya çalışılacak-tır. Özellikle yeni ateizmin, bilimi vasıta edinerek dine yönelik eleştirilerin-den itikadî alanla sınırlı kalınıp bu açıdan yapılan eleştirilerin tutarlı olup olunmadığı tartışılacaktır. Bu düzlemde çalışmada bilim ve akılla beraber dinin de evrensel ve objektif birtakım konularda belirleyici olabileceği üze-rinde durulacaktır. Din ile bilimin aynı ölçütlerle değerlendirilerek farklı ne-ticeler alınmasının, izlenen yöntem ve alanlarının farklılığı açısından doğru olmadığı temellendirilmeye çalışılacaktır. Ayrıca ideolojik bilim anlayışının hem bilime hem de inanca yansıyan olumsuz tesirlerine değinilecektir. So-nuç olarak bilimin, ideolojik yaklaşım olmaksızın ele alındığında dinin karşı-tı değil yeri geldiğinde ona epistemik destek sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. İşe bu düşüncenin gerçekleşmesinin önündeki en büyük engellerden biri olan yeni ateizmin bilime yüklediği ideolojik yaklaşım, çalışmamızın konu-sunu oluşturmaktadır., In the early part of the present century, a new atheist movement emer-ged which, although old in its origins, is often mentioned because of the ar-guments and emphases it uses. In the new atheism, the eternity of matter in the classical atheism, the creation of human beings through an evolutionary process and the phenomenon of evil are not only expressed in a new format, but science is also abused for this purpose. The activities carried out for the sake of an ideological understanding of science and the arguments put forward accordingly concern the dimension of faith as well as many other fields. In this study, the meaning and function of ideological science, which has manifested itself in different ways in recent times, will be discussed and a theological critique will be tried to be made, especially through the new atheism and its negative reflection on faith. In particular, it will be discussed whether the criticisms of the new atheism against religion by using science as a tool are limited to the theological field and whether the criticisms made in this respect are consistent. At this level, this study will emphasize that religion, along with science and reason, can be determinative in some uni-versal and objective issues. It will be tried to justify that evaluating religion and science with the same criteria and obtaining different results is not cor-rect in terms of the difference in the methods and fields followed. In addi-tion, the negative effects of the ideological understanding of science both in terms of damaging the position of science and in terms of faith will be men-tioned. As a result, when science is handled without an ideological appro-ach, it is thought to provide epistemic support to religion rather than being the opposite of it. One of the biggest obstacles to the realization of this idea is the ideological approach that the new atheism imposes on science which is the subject of this study.

Kur’an’da belirtildiği üzere Allah insanı “vahiy, perde arkasından ko-nuşma ve elçi göndermek” olmak üzere üç ayrı şekilde muhatap almaktadır. Birincisi herhangi bir elçi bulunmadan doğrudan peygamberin kalbine vah-yin bırakılması şeklinde gerçekleşir. İkinci yol olan “perde arkasından ko-nuşmada”, peygamberin vahyi perde arkasından işittiği kabul edilir. “Al-lah’ın bir melek göndermesi” yoluyla gerçekleşen vahiy ise elçi görevlendi-rilmesidir. Öte yandan Kur’an’ın buyruklarına göre vahiy, peygamberler dışında bazı şahıslarla alakalı olarak da gündeme gelmektedir. Hz. Mu-sa’nın annesine yapılan tebliğ bunlardan biridir. Yine Kur’an’da geçtiği gibi Allah Hz. İsa’nın havarilerine vahyetmiştir. Nübüvvet bağlamında vahiy, Allah’ın kullarına yönelik emir ve yasaklarını tebliğ etmekle görevlendirilen peygamberlere mahsus olmakta; diğer insanlarla ilgili zikredilen vahiy ise ilham manâsına hamledilmekte/yorumlanmaktadır. İnsan için en somut delil ve gösterge, hiç şüphesiz vahye delalet eden ve onun açık sonuçları olan kutsal metinlerdir. Vahyin bu özelliğinden ötürü insanların onu kabul etmesini kolaylaştırmak ve bu noktada peygamberin iddiasının doğruluğu-nu onaylamak ve teyid etmek maksadıyla peygamberler bazı mucizelerle desteklenmiştir. Buna göre İslâm inancı açısından vahiy ve mucize birbirini tamamlayan iki unsurdur. Bu çalışmada nübüvvet açısından önemli iki ko-nunun birbiriyle olan irtibatı ve bu ilişkinin önemi öncelikle İslâm düşüncesi açısından ortaya konulacak, ardından meselenin Mesnevî’de nasıl anlaşıldı-ğı üzerinde durulacaktır. Konuyla ilgili farklılıklar ve benzerlikler tespit edilmeye çalışılacak, dile getirilmeyen hususlar ve onların sebepleri tespit edilerek değerlendirme yapılacaktır., As stated in the Qur'an, Allah addresses people in three channels: "rev-elation, speaking from behind the scenes, and sending messengers". The first is the release of revelation directly into the heart of the prophet without the presence of any messenger. As a second way, in speaking from behind the scenes, it is accepted that the prophet heard the revelation from behind the scenes. The revelation that takes place through “Allah sending an angel” is the appointment of a messenger. On the other hand, according to the com-mandments of the Qur'an, revelation comes to the fore in relation to some persons other than the prophets. The notification made to the mother of Moses is one of them. In addition, as mentioned in the Qur'an, Allah sent revelations to the disciples of Jesus. In the context of the prophethood, the revelation is for the prophets who are tasked with communicating the commands and prohibitions of Allah to his servants; the revelation men-tioned about other people is interpreted as inspiration. The most concrete evidence and indicator for humans is undoubtedly the sacred texts that sig-nify a revelation and have clear consequences. Because of this feature of the revelation, the prophets were supported by some miracles to make it easier for people to accept it and to approve and confirm the truth of the prophet's claim in this regard. Accordingly, in terms of Islamic belief, revelations and miracles are two complementary elements. In this study, the connection be-tween the two important issues in terms of prophethood and the im-portance of this relationship will be demonstrated first in terms of Islamic thought, and then how the issue is understood in Masnavi will be empha-sized. Differences and similarities related to the subject will be tried to be determined, and issues not addressed and their causes will be determined and evaluated.

This article examines Islamic thought in general and theology in particular in terms of the relationship between physics and metaphysics, based on Aristotle’s Physics VIII, and reevaluates Averroes’ (d. 595/1198) criticism of Avicenna (d. 428/1037) and Ashʻarī theology regarding the matter of proof for God’s existence. Averroes claims that the Ashʻarī theology lacks metaphysics, so the ḥudûth evidence (the proof of contingency) contains structural problems. Drawing from Averroes’ analysis, the cosmological arguments revolving around theologians' proof of God's existence from the universe's contingency have developed into a profoundly intricate framework, generating polemics to the extent that even scholars in the field struggle to grasp its intricacies. Expanding on this point, theologians' efforts to establish God's existence often exacerbate rather than alleviate complexities surrounding the relationship between contingency and eternity (physics and metaphysics). On the other hand, Averroes maintains his silence against Avicenna and Avicenians, who seem to have solved the main problems regarding the eternal-temporal dichotomy through metaphysics, and criticizes them for rendering Aristotelian physics inactive in the proof of Necessary Being. Conversely, Averroes remains unconvinced by the theologians' cosmological/physics-based arguments through the proof of contingency. However, when viewed from the perspective of Averroes, the theologians were neither able to solve the problem of the relationship between eternal and temporal with metaphysical propositions nor were they able to correctly apply physical principles in their cosmological arguments. The assertion that theologians could not implement physics accurately also carries the insinuation that they failed to formulate a coherent metaphysical framework. The Ottoman Empire experienced modernity simultaneously with the rest of the Islamic world, albeit of a different nature. For this reason, the relations, contacts and interactions between the Ottoman Empire and the rest of the Islamic world are diverse and complicated. One of these zones of interaction is North Africa. The modernisation experience of this region, which separated from the Ottoman Empire in the early 19th century, was somehow transferred to the Ottoman Empire. Hamdan b. Osman Hodja, who had held important state positions in Algeria, came to Istanbul after the French occupation of Algeria and transferred the experience he had gained, particularly in Europe, to the Ottoman high bureaucracy. It can be seen that Hamdan Hodja actively participated in the first actions of modernisation efforts. In particular, he played an active role in the adoption and implementation of quarantine in the Ottoman Empire and was in close contact with the top bureaucracy. In this process, he was asked to write a treatise on the compatibility of quarantine with Islam, in which he analysed the issues of will, chance and fate in the context of quarantine. The way in which he dealt with these issues and the arguments he put forward during this examination were of a character that would later be used frequently in Ottoman religious modernisation. For this reason, Hodja Hamdan's approach to the relationship between religion and modernisation has a content that influenced and originated Ottoman religious modernisation. In particular, the religious justifications for taking precautions and preparing forces, whether anything can be taken from infidels, and issues such as resembling infidels come to the fore., Osmanlı, İslâm dünyası ile, her ne kadar mahiyeti farklı olsa da, eşzamanlı şekilde modernliği tecrübe etmiştir. Bu sebeple Osmanlı ile İslâm dünyasının geri kalanı arasındaki münasebetler, irtibatlar ve etkileşimler çeşitli ve çetrefillidir. Bu etkileşim bölgelerinden biri de Kuzey Afrika’dır. XIX. asrın başlarında Osmanlı’dan ayrılan bu bölgenin modernleşme tecrübesi de bir şekilde Osmanlı’ya intikal etmiştir. Cezayir’de önemli devlet görevlerinde bulunmuş bir isim olan Hamdan b. Osman Hoca, Cezayir’in Fransızlar tarafından işgalinden sonra İstanbul’a gelmiş ve özellikle Avrupa’da edindiği tecrübeleri Osmanlı üst bürokrasisine aktarmıştır. Hamdan Hoca’nın modernleşme çabalarının ilk icraatlarına da aktif olarak iştirak ettiği görülmektedir. Özellikle karantinanın Osmanlı’da benimsenmesi ve uygulanması sürecinde aktif rol almış ve üst bürokrasiyle yakın ilişki içinde olmuştur. Bu süreçte kendisinden karantina uygulamasının İslam’a uygun olduğunu ele alan bir risale yazması istenmiş ve o da kaleme aldığı bu risalede irade, kaza ve kader meselelerini karantina bağlamında incelemiştir. Bu inceleme esnasında meseleleri ele alış biçimi ve ileri sürdüğü argümanlar sonrasında Osmanlı dinî modernleşmesinde sıkça kullanılacak bir karakter arz etmektedir. Bu sebeple Hamdan Hoca’nın din-modernleşme ilişkilerine yaklaşımı Osmanlı dinî modernleşmesini etkileyen ve kaynaklık eden bir muhtevaya sahiptir. Özellikle tedbir almanın ve kuvvet hazırlamanın dinî gerekçeleri, kafirlerden bir şey alınıp alınamayacağı ve kafirlere benzeme gibi hususlar ön plana çıkmaktadır.

Knowledge theory is a discipline that interacts between different disciplines and examines issues such as the source, nature, transfer and use of knowledge. Discussions about the nature and source of knowledge have increased the importance of knowledge theory along with technological developments and changes in the field of communication. This offers many interesting areas for future research. There are various views on the definition and approaches of knowledge. One of the scholars who put forward important opinions on this subject is Abū ‘Alī al-Yūsī (d. 1102/1691). Yūsī, who had important views on the definition and value of knowledge, lived in the 17th century and was a prominent Mālikī scholar of Morocca, well-versed in rational and natural sciences, and distinguished in theology, philosophy, logic, and methodology. Yūsī’s theory creates a comprehensive framework that transcends the boundaries of disciplines. This interdisciplinary approach promotes a holistic understanding of knowledge and encourages scientists from different fields to collaborate and contribute to the advancement of knowledge theory. According to him, the capacity to access and understand knowledge varies between man and other beings. The idea that man has limited knowledge and God has absolute knowledge is an important point in understanding the sources and the nature of knowledge. At the heart of Yūsī’s theory is the recognition of the multidimensionality of knowledge. It goes beyond a simplistic view that equates knowledge with mere awareness or understanding. Instead, he argues that knowledge encompasses cognitive processes, epistemological considerations, and broader metaphysical dimensions. According to Yūsī, knowledge comes from three sources: reason, revelation, and senses. According to him, reason alone is not sufficient to understand the complexity of existence. Therefore, it emphasizes the importance of revelation, which represents divine guidance and transcendent wisdom.Revelation, Bilgi teorisi, farklı disiplinler arasında etkileşim halinde olan, bilginin kaynağı, doğası, aktarımı ve kullanımı gibi konuları inceleyen bir disiplindir. Abdüllatif Harpûtî, 19. yüzyılda Türkiye’yi temsil eden ve kelâm ilminde yenilikte ilk somut adımı atan yeni ilm-i kelamcıdır. O, İslâm’ı naklî ve aklî delillerle savunmayı hedeflemiştir. Böylece kelâmda metot bakımından yenilenmeyi öngörmüştür. Harpûtî, İslâm itikadına zarar verecek hususları hikmet vasıtasıyla bertaraf etmek istemiştir. Onun Kâdî Beyzâvî’den naklettiği hikmet tanımında bu amaçlar açıkça görülmektedir. O, hikmeti şek ve şüpheyi izâle etmek amacıyla kesin ilim ifade eden burhanlar ve ikna edici hatâbi ve zannî deliller anlamında yorumlamıştır. Harpûtî, kelâmda kullanılan burhan ve delilleri hikmet olarak değerlendirmiştir. O, hikmete o kadar önem vermiştir ki İslâm’ın hikmet üzerine bina edildiğini iddia etmiştir. Hikmete yüklediği fonksiyonla Kur’an’ı ve Sünneti şerh etmeyi, dinin sırlarına ulaşmayı amaçlamıştır. Hikmet vasıtasıyla dinin tüm halk kitlelerine nüfuz edebileceğine inanmıştır. Ona göre böylece hem avam hem de havas özelliğine sahip olan insanlar dinden nasiplenecektir. Hikmeti bir metot olarak ele alan Harpûtî, hikmetin kuşatıcı, işlevsel ve irşada yönelik özelliğini vurgulamıştır. Harpûtî’nin hikmet tanımının kelâm ilminin gâyesini destekler mahiyette olması kelâm ilmi ile hikmet arasındaki münasebetin açık bir tezâhürüdür. Aynı zamanda hikmetin şüpheyi izale eden kesin ilim özelliği, delil ve burhanlarla ikna edici hitaplar barındırması kelâmın da gâyeleri arasında yer almaktadır. Hikmeti mantık kuralları çerçevesinde değerlendiren Harpûtî, hikmet vasıtasıyla akıl ve bilim arasında ilişki kurmuştur. Bunun somut örneğine Tenkîhu’l-Kelâm eserinde yer alan “İlm-i Hey’et ile Kütüb-i Mukaddese Arasında Zahirî Hilafın Tevcih ve Tevfîki Hakkında” risâlesinde rastlanmaktadır. Bu risâlesinde vahiy ve bilim arasında münasebet kurmuş, heyet ve hikmet ilmi üzerinde önemle durmuş, geçmişe dönük birtakım astronomi teorilerinden bahsetmiş ve bunları âyetlerle destekleyerek, İslâm’ın bilim ile akla karşı olmadığını ispatlamaya çalışmıştır. Harpûtî, ʿAbd al-Latīf al-Kharpūṭī is a modern theologian based in Turkiye in the 19th century and took the first concrete step to introduce new ilm al-kalām. He aimed at defending Islam using both rational (‘aql) and narrative (nass) evidence, thereby envisioning a methodological renewal in kalām. Using wisdom, al-Kharpūṭī wanted to eliminate the issues that would harm the Islamic faith through wisdom. Such objectives are evident in the definition of wisdom, he quoted from Qādī Bayzāwī. He interpreted wisdom in the sense of demonstrations (burhan) that express certain knowledge and rhetorical (khitabī) and falsifiable (zannī) proofs in order to eliminate doubt and uncertainty. Al-Kharpūṭī considered the demonstrations and evidences used in kalām as wisdom. He attached so much importance to wisdom, and he claimed that Islam was built on wisdom. With the meaning he attributed to wisdom, he aimed to interpret the Qurʾān and Sunnah and to uncover the secrets of religion. He believed that through wisdom, religion could reach great masses of people. In this way, both the common (hawas) and elite (ʿavām) people would benefit from religion. He used wisdom as a method and emphasized its encompassing, functional and enlightening characteristics. The fact that al-Kharpūṭī’s definition of wisdom supports the purpose of the science of kalām is a clear manifestation of the relationship between the science of kalām and wisdom. At the same time, wisdom’s characteristic of precise knowledge that eliminates doubt and its persuasive appeals with evidence and demonstrations are also among the goals of kalām. Evaluating wisdom based on the rules of logic, al-Kharpūṭī established a relationship between reason and science through wisdom. A concrete example of this can be found in his treatise “On the Tawjīh and Tawfīq of the Apparent (Zahirī) Dispute Between ‘Ilm al-Hay’at and Qurʾāb al-Muqaddasa” and in his work Tanqīh al-Kalām. Şefaat konusunda itikadî mezhepler arasında farklı görüşler ve tartışmalar bulunmaktadır. Bu konudaki kelâmî tartışmalar hicrî birinci asra kadar uzanmaktadır. Şefaat konusunda mezhepler arasında farklı anlayışların ortaya çıkmasındaki sebeplerin başında, şefaatin zikredildiği nasların farklı yorumlanması ve şefaatin nasıl gerçekleşeceğinin keyfiyyeti hususundaki ayrıntılar zikredilebilir. Bu çalışmada biz öncelikle Mu'tezile’nin şefaat konusundaki görüşlerini tespit ettik. Daha sonra da Fahreddin Râzî’nin bu konuda Mu’tezile’ye yaptığı eleştirileri ele aldık. Râzî ve Mu'tezile’nin farklı düşündüğü temel konular şunlardır: Mu’tezile, küçük günah işleyenlerin bağışlanacağını, büyük günah işleyenlerin ise şefaat vesilesi ile bağışlanmayacağı görüşü ile şefaati ahirette sadece derecenin yükselmesi olarak kabul eder. Râzî ise Ehl-i Sünnet'in görüşüne katılarak Mu'tezile'nin bu görüşlerine karşı çıkarak, şefaati hem derecenin yükselmesi hem de büyük günah işleyen müminlerin bağışlanması şeklinde kabul eder. Ona göre şefaat, günah işlememiş müminlerin derecesini artırırken, günahkâr olanların da cezalarını düşürme işlevine sahiptir. Râzî, şefaati tamamen Allah'ın iradesine bağlı bir lütuf olarak görürken; Mu'tezile ise büyük günah işleyen müminlerin Allah'ın adalet ve va’d ve’l-vaîd prensipleri gereği cezalandırılması gerektiği görüşündedir. Bu görüşleri ile Râzî’nin Ehl-i Sünnet çizgisinde olduğu anlaşılmaktadır., There are different opinions and debates among religious sects regarding intercession. The theological debates on this issue date back to the first century of Hijri. One of the main reasons for the emergence of different understandings of intercession among the sects is the different interpretations of the verses in which intercession is mentioned and the details of how intercession will take place. In this study, first of all, we have detected the Muʿtazilites' views on intercession. Then, we discussed Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī's criticisms of the Mu'tazilites on this issue. The main issues on which Razi and Mu'tazila think differently are as follows: Mu'tazila believes that those who commit minor sins will be forgiven, but those who commit major sins will not be forgiven through intercession, and accepts intercession as only increasing one's degree in the afterlife. Rāzī, on the other hand, agrees with the view of the Ahl al-Sunnah and opposes these views of the Mu'tazila and accepts intercession as both increasing the degree and forgiving believers who have committed major sins. According to him, while intercession increases the degree of believers who have not committed sins, it has the function of reducing the penalties of sinners. While al-Rāzī sees intercession as a favor that depends entirely on God's will, the Muʿtazilites believe that believers who commit grave sins should be punished in accordance with God's principles of justice and va'd wa'l-vaîd (promise and threat). With these views, it is understood that Râzî is in the line of Ahl al-Sunnah.

“Filozofların Tanrısı” terimi, felsefi söylemde anlaşıldığı ve tartışıldığı şekliyle Tanrı kavramını ifade eder. Bu, genellikle dini geleneklerde bulunan Tanrı kavramından farklı olduğu düşünülen felsefi bir Tanrı kavramıdır. Tarih boyunca çeşitli filozoflar ve teologlar bu terimi, varlığı ve sıfatları felsefi akıl yürütme ve düşünmenin konusu olan Tanrı’ya atıfta bulunmak için kullanmışlardır. Bu çalışmada, İbn Sînâ’nın iki Tanrı kavramını uzlaştırma yolunu araştırıyor ve Aristotelesçi ve Neoplatonik mirasa sahip bir filozof olan İbn Sînâ’nın filozofların Tanrısı ile kutsal kitapların Tanrısı arasında bir çelişki görmediğini iddia ediyorum. Tanrı’nın failliği, dua ve inayet hakkındaki fikirleri, İbn Sina’nın Tanrısının, bilinen ve ibadet edilen dinî geleneklerin Tanrısı olduğuna dair bol miktarda kanıt sunmaktadır., The term “God of the philosophers” refers to the concept of God as understood and discussed in philosophical discourse. It is a philosophical concept of God that is often considered distinct from the concept of God found in religious traditions. Throughout history, various philosophers and theologians have used the term to refer to God whose existence and attributes have been the subject of philosophical reasoning and reflection. In this study, I explore Ibn Sīnā’s way of reconciling two concepts of God. I argue that Ibn Sînâ, a philosopher with an Aristotelian and Neoplatonic heritage, sees no contradiction between the God of the philosophers and the God of the scriptures. Ibn Sina’s way is interesting because it is an attempt to bridge the gap between two concepts of God without compromising the classical theistic understanding of divine attributes. First, I will briefly present the Aristotelian and Neoplatonic contexts of Ibn Sīnā’s philosophy to show his way of reconciliation. Second, I will give an account of Ibn Sīnā’s concept of God as it is revealed in his understanding of the divine attribute of immutability. Finally, I will examine his views in which he most explicitly offers the concept of a God who is responsive, who is present, and who is engaged with human beings. His ideas about God’s agency, petitionary prayer, and divine providence provide ample evidence that the God of Ibn Sīnā is the God of the religious traditions known to and worshipped by human beings.

Bu makalede öncelikle Allah’ın ilminin ve kudretinin eşyada nasıl meydana geldiği anlatılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda ilahi bilginin sonsuz olması nedeniyle bu bilginin varlığa tecelli etmesinin, sonsuz keşfinin ve varlıkta üretilmesinin mümkün olduğu ileri sürülmektedir. Ayrıca ilahi bilginin varlığının tecellisini sadece bir yoruma veya keşfe bağlamak, eşyanın var olma ihtimalini en aza indirebilir. İkinci olarak, şeylerin ontolojik olarak kötü değil, iyi olduğu kanıtlanmaya çalışılır. Buradaki girişim, genel ve spesifik deneyimler meselesinin yanı sıra, aklın her zaman kötülüğü yenme yeteneğine sahip olduğu gerçeğine dayanmaktadır. It argues that since divine knowledge is infinite, the manifestation of this knowledge into existence, infinite discovery, and production in existence is possible. Indeed, limiting the manifestation of divine knowledge in existence to only one interpretation or discovery can reduce the potential for things to exist. Secondly, it attempts to prove that things are not ontologically evil, but good. Here, the attempt is based on the issue of general and specific experiences, and on the fact that reason always has the ability to overcome evil. Again, it was emphasized that the relationality of evil and the victimization and sufferings caused by the emergence of bad situations due to the conditions of time and space can be alleviated by the “belief in the hereafter” in the Islamic faith. Thirdly, it aims to briefly interpret general opinions on the nature of things in Islamic tradition. This issue is tried to be revealed with an example from history, and how those who say “things don’t have fixed and enduring nature” cause tragic consequences. The ideas that things have a fixed and permanent nature and that even seemingly extraordinary (miraculous) events can be explained within this nature are included. Finally, understanding providence is based on knowing and explaining causality in existence. The compatibility of this view with the principles of the Islamic faith is the underlying theme recurring throughout the article.

Kelâmcılar, sekizinci yüzyılın sonlarından itibaren fiziksel evrenle daha fazla ilgilenmişler ve daha önce gündemlerinde olmayan cisim, hareket, durağanlık ve değişim gibi konularda teoriler ortaya koymuşlardır. Kelâm ekollerinin fizik yaklaşımları birbirlerinden farklı olduğu gibi farklı dönemlerdeki fizik hakkında düşünme tarzları da farklıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı kelâmcıların fiziksel evrene yaklaşımlarını tespit etmektir. Bu bağlamda, kelâmcıların beş farklı yaklaşımının olduğu söylenebilir. Bunlardan birincisi araz taraftarlarıdır. Evrenin arazlardan meydana geldiğini savunan bu yaklaşım cisimlerin bütünlüklü yapılar olarak görülmesinin zihnimizin eseri olduğunu savunur. İkincisi tabiatçı kelâmcılardır. Nazzâm, Câhız ve Sümâme bu yaklaşımı savunan kelâmcılardır. Onların ortak özelliği cisimlerin tabiatlarını kabul etmeleridir. Bu yaklaşıma göre cisimler başka bir müdahaleye gerek kalmaksızın tabiatlarına uygun bir şekilde davranmak zorundadır. As the approaches to physics of Kalām schools are different from each other, the way of thinking about physics in different periods is also different. This study aims to determine the approaches of Muslim theologians to the physical universe. In this context, it can be said that Muslim theologians have five different approaches. The first of these is the supporters of accidents. This approach, which argues that the universe consists of accidents, suggests that it is the work of our minds to see objects as integrated structures. The second is naturalist theologians such as al-Naẓẓām, al-Jāḥiẓ, and Thumâma. Their common feature is that they accept the nature of objects. According to this approach, objects must behave according to their nature without needing any other intervention. al-Naẓẓām developed a theory suitable for this approach and tried to support it with experience. al-Naẓẓām, who rejects atomism, insists that objects are composed of opposite components and that they have an internal dynamism that allows them to be in constant motion. al-Jāhiz, on the other hand, did many experiments to learn the nature and movements of animals. The third approach to the physics of Kalām is atomist theologians. Atomism is the most common physics approach in Kalām. According to this approach, objects are not divided infinitely. The universe is made up of indivisible particles. This approach insists that there are voids between atoms. Atomist theologians, who give some examples to defend their ideas, do not accept that objects have nature. Instead, they developed the theory of impetus (iʿtimād) to explain motion. Throughout the history of kalām, the question of the relationship be-tween essence and attributes has not been solely limited to explaining the connection between divine attributes and essence; it has also necessitated an examination of the relationship between human attributes and their essences, as same names and attributes are used to describe to human beings in language. Therefore, it is imperative to evaluate the theories of the kalāmic schools concerning the relationship between essence and attributes while considering the realms of al-ghāib (the invisible) and al-shāhid (the visible). In this context, Muʿtazilite scholars proposed two theories before Abū al-Ḥusayn al-Baṣrī: i) the theory of attributes` being identical to the essence and ii) Abū Ḥāshim`s theory of aḥwāl. While these two theories emphasized the sensitivity of avoiding explanations that contradict tawḥīd, they did not achieve complete harmony between realms of al-shāhid and al-ghāib. On the other hand, the theories developed by Ahl al-Sunnah theologians, that are iii) the theory of true mana attributes and iv) theory of aḥwāl by al-Bāḳillānī and al-Juwaynī, provided a more cohesive explanation between the two realms, although they faced criticism for potentially undermining tawḥīd.Ibn al-Malāhimī, , managed to establish a valid explanation of both realms, as seen in the theories of the Ahl al-Sunnah theologians, without compromising the core sensitivity of the Muʿtazilites, thanks to the theory of aḥkām that he inherited from Abū al-Ḥusayn al-Baṣrī. Consequently, this Ḥusaynī scholar introduced a novel theory regarding the relationship between essence and attribute that significantly influenced the kalāmic tradition. Unlike previous theories, wherein the maʿānī (the meanings) like knowledge, power, and life were seen as real accidents of human beings that characterized by the attributes of ʿālim, qādir, and ḥayy, the ahkām theory their real denies their real existence in both realms. İbnü'l-Melâhimî ise Ebü’l-Hüseyin el-Basrî’den tevârüs edip geliştirdiği ahkâm teorisi sayesinde Muʿtezile'nin temel hassasiyetinden taviz vermeden Ehl-i sünnet kelâmcılarında görüldüğü gibi her iki âlem hakkında geçerli bir açıklama ortaya koymuş ve böylece geleneği etkileyen farklı bir zât-sıfât ilişkisi teorisi kelâma kazandırılmıştır. This paper examines the reasons for associations made between dif-ferent theories in the science of theology (Kalām). Throughout the history of thought, a common phenomenon has been the association of a theory be-longing to a particular thinker or group with another theory or belief that feels foreign. The article divides the sense of foreignness into three parts: first, ‘distant foreignness’, second, ‘middle foreignness’, and third, ‘close foreignness’. This sense of foreignness is divided into three groups: distant foreignness, which is felt against other religions such as Christianity and Zoroastrianism, middle foreignness, which is felt against classical philosophy, and close foreignness, which is felt against the currents that are the architects of Islamic thought. As a result of associating any thought with foreign beliefs for different reasons, it has been determined that four types of associations have emerged: 1-import, 2-accusation, 3-legitimacy seeking and 4-analysis. Importation means adopting a reconciliation found in a culture and thought system considered foreign. Accusation involves attributing a rival theory to a foreign theory or belief in order to devalue it. Searching for legitimacy involves demonstrating that a theory is consistent with another accepted theory or belief to gain acceptance within its group. The analysis attempt to establish similarities between the two theories without any specific intention. Representative exemplary texts from classical literature have been used to determine each of the four categories. This paper will highlight that the reasons underlying theologians’ theory of reconciliations are varied, and therefore, one should not approach every reconciliation in the same manner., Bu makale, kelâm ilminde farklı teoriler arasında yapılan bağdaştırmaların nedenlerini incelenmektedir. Düşünce tarihi boyunca sıkça rastlanan durumlardan biri herhangi bir düşünür veya gruba ait bir teorinin yabancı hissedilen başka bir teori veya inançla bağdaştırılmasıdır. Makalede yabancılık hissi; birincisi ‘uzak yabancılık’, ikincisi ‘orta yabancılık’, üçüncüsü ‘yakın yabancılık’ olmak üzere üç kısma ayrılmıştır. Meşruiyet arayışı, bir teoriyi kendi grubuna kabul ettirmek için kabul edilmiş başka bir teori veya inançla uyumlu göstermektir. Causality stands out as a significant topic in the history of Islamic tho-ught. This issue delves into the connection between God and the universe on various levels. Hence, a philosopher's or theologian's stance on causality sheds light on their perspective concerning divinity. While discussions about causality have taken place among different Islamic schools of thought, the most intense debates have unfolded between the theologians, who champio-ned an understanding based on custom (ʿādat) , and the Peripatetics, who advocated ontological causality. One of the most significant issues in this field of study is the confusion surrounding different types of causality. Consequently, the Ash'arites, who justify the existence of God based on proofs of possibility, hudūs, and alignment, are erroneously portrayed as entirely anti-causal. Such an approach undermines all arguments for the existence of God. Simultaneously, it is incorrect to argue that they considered every conclusion derived from premises to be rooted in tradition. One cause of this confusion stems from the ambiguous statements found within Ash'arite sources themselves. Due to these reasons, it becomes necessary to categorize causality as rational, theological, ontological, and epistemological, based on the intellectual background of causality discussions and the philosophical and theological systems of thought within different schools. Additionally, distinctions between form and content, universal and specific aspects, particularly concerning epistemological causality, should be made., İslam düşünce tarihinde tartışılan en önemli konulardan biri nedenselliktir. Bu konu birçok açıdan Allah-âlem ilişkisini ilgilendirmektedir. Bu yüzden bir filozof ve kelamcının nedensellik hakkındaki kanaati, onun ulûhiyete dair kanaatlerini de ortaya koymaktadır. Farklı İslâmî ekoller arasında nedensellikle ilgili tartışmalar meydana geldiği halde bu konuda en sert tartışmalar âdet anlayışını savunan kelamcılar ile ontolojik nedenselliği savunan Meşşâîler arasında meydana gelmiştir. Bu alandaki çalışmalarla ilgili en önemli problemlerden biri nedenselliğin farklı türlerinin karıştırılmasıdır. Bunun sonucunda Allah’ın varlığını imkân, hudûs ve nizam delilleri ekseninde temellendiren Eş‘arîler, mutlak olarak nedensellik karşıtı olarak algılanmışlardır. Böyle bir yaklaşım Allah’ın varlığına dair bütün argümanları ortadan kaldırmaktadır. Aynı zamanda onların öncüllerden hâsıl olan her sonucu mutlak olarak âdete dayalı şeklinde gördüklerini ileri sürmek de doğru değildir. Bu karışıklığın bir nedeni bizzat Eş‘arî kaynakların bu konudaki muğlak ifadeleridir. Bu gerekçelerden dolayı nedensellikle ilgili tartışmaların aklî zeminini, felsefî ve kelâmî okulların düşünce sistemlerini esas alarak nedenselliğin aklî, teolojik, ontolojik ve epistemolojik şeklinde tasnif edilmesi, özellikle epistemolojik nedensellik konusunda şekil-muhteva küllî-cüz’î ayrımlarının yapılması gereklilik arz etmektedir.

The issue of offer-i mā lā yutāq is a theological problem, which was dis-cussed in the early Christianity, concerning the possibility of a moral law independent of God's power and justice. Those who accept the possibility of a moral law independent of God argue that it is immoral for Him to offer His servants what they cannot afford, while those who accept God's absolute authority and do not see the existence of a moral law independent of religion as possible say that it is permissible. According to the Mu'tazilite scholars, who first raised the issue of taklīf-i mā lā yutāq in Muslim culture, it is not permissible to offer something to servants that they cannot afford because it is wrong. The Ash'arite scholars, on the contrary, argued that imposing obligation or restriction on God is a prejudice to His attribute of power and therefore taklīf al-mā lā yutāq is permissible. Although many schools of theology other than Muʿtazila and Ashʿarī have expressed their opinions on this subject, it can be said that these opinions are generally shaped around the ideas of these two sects. Māturīdī scholars tried to find a middle ground between the views of the Muʿtazilites and the Ashʿarites on the issue of taklīf-i mā lā yutāq. Therefore, it can be thought that the Māturīdīs provided an alternative way out of the polemic in question, and in this respect, the issue is worthy of research. In this study, the views of prominent Māturīdī scholars on taklīf al-mā lā yutāq and their rational and narrative bases are emphasised. The views of the Mu'tazilite and Ash'arite schools are also discussed comparatively in the study, and the issues of "fate", "taklīf" and "istitāat" related to taklīf-i mā lā yuṭāq are also included., Teklif-i mâ lâ yutâk meselesi, Hıristiyanlığın ilk dönemlerinde de tartı-şılmış Tanrı’nın kudret ve adaletinden bağımsız bir ahlak yasasının imkânını konu edinen teolojik bir sorundur. Tanrı’dan bağımsız bir ahlak yasasını mümkün kabul edenler, O’nun kullara güç yetiremeyecekleri şeyi teklif etmesinin ahlakî olmadığını savunurken; Tanrı’nın mutlak otoritesini kabul edip, dinden bağımsız bir ahlak yasasının mevcudiyetini mümkün görmeyenler ise bunun caiz olabileceğini söylemektedir. Müslüman kültüründe teklîf-i mâ lâ yutâk konusunu ilk defa gündeme getiren Mu’tezile bilginlerine göre kullara güç yetiremeyecekleri teklif, kabîh olduğundan caiz değildir. Eş’arî bilginler, bu görüşün aksini savunmak suretiyle Allah’a zorunluluk veya kısıtlama getirmenin kudret sıfatına halel getirmek demek olduğunu ve dolayısıyla teklîf-i mâ lâ yutâk’ın caiz olduğunu belirtmiştir. Mu’tezile ve Eş’arî dışında birçok kelâm ekolü bu konuda görüş belirtmişse de söz konusu görüşlerin genel olarak bu iki mezhebin düşüncesi etrafında şekillendiği söylenebilir. Teklîf-i mâ lâ yutâk konusunda Mâtürîdî bilginler, Mu’tezile’yle Eş’arîler’in benimsediği görüşün ortasını bulmaya çalışmıştır. Dolayısıyla Mâtürîdîler’in söz konusu polemiğe alternatif bir çıkar yol sağladığı, bu itibarla meselenin araştırılmaya değer olduğu düşünülebilir. Bu çalışmada Mâtürîdî bilginlerin önde gelen isimlerinin teklîf-i mâ lâ yutâk’a dair görüşleri ve bunların aklî ve naklî dayanakları üzerinde durulmuştur. Araştırmada Mu’tezile ve Eş’arî ekolünün görüşleri de mukayeseli olarak ele alınmış olup teklîf-i mâ lâ yutâk’ı ilgilendiren “kader”, “teklîf” ve “istitâat” konularına da girilmiştir.

18. 18.asrın ortalarında ortaya çıkan Vehhâbîlik, İslam düşüncesinde geleneksel dinî anlayışa tepkiselliği ile dikkat çeken bir akımdır. Kurucusu Muhammed b. Abdülvvehâb’ın görüşleri, bid‘at merkezli bir düşünceden hareketle, Müslüman toplumun yüzyıllara dayanan dinî anla- yışını inkâr etmek üzere inşâ edilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda Vehhâbîlik, küfür alameti kabul ettiği kurum ve yapıları ortadan kaldırmayı yapısal bir karaktere dönüştürmüştür. Bu çalışma, Vehhâbîliğin Irak’taki faaliyetlerinden rahatsız olan Iraklı şâir Cemîl Sıdkî ez-Zehâvî’nin (ö. 1936) Vehhâbîlik hakkında eleştirel risâlesini incelemektedir. Zehâvî, Vehhâbîliğin tarihi kö- kenini ortaya koymak; siyasi ve dinî alandaki faaliyetlerini eleştirmek için yazdığı el-Fecrü’s- Sâdık adlı eser ile bu dinî hareketin bilinmeyen yönlerini açıklamaya çalışmıştır. Eser, muhte- vası itibarıyla şirk, bid‘at, tevessül ve tekfir gibi Müslüman toplumun gündemini meşgul eden konuları incelemiştir. Reddiye türü olan eser, içerik yönünden Vehhâbîlik hakkında yazılan ilmî çalışmalarda önemli bir kaynak olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Çalışmada metin tahlîli yön- temi kullanılarak, Zehâvî’nin ortaya koyduğu teorik ve tarihsel eleştiri ortaya çıkarılmaya ça- lışılacaktır. Zehâvî’ye göre Vehhâbîlik dinî olmaktan daha çok siyasi hedefler uğrunda araç- sallaştırılmış bir harekettir. Temeli Hâricî düşünceye dayanan bu yapının sosyolojik zemini kabile tassubuna dayanmakta, ötekine karşı tepkisellliği barındırmaktadır., Wāhhabism, which emerged in the mid-18th century, is a movement that draws attention with its reactivity in Islamic thought. The views of its founder, Muḥammad b. ‘Abd al-Wahhāb, were built to deny the centuries-old religious understanding of the Muslim community, based on a bida‘-centered thought. In this direction, Wahhābism has transformed the elimination of institutions and structures that it regards as signs of disbelief into a structural character. This study examines the critical treatise on Wahhābism by the Iraqi poet Jamīl Sidqī al-Zahāwī (d. 1936), who was disturbed by its activities in Iraq. Zahāwī wrote al-Fajr al-Sādiq to reveal the historical origins of Wahhabism and criticise its political and religious activities, and tried to explain the unknown aspects of this religious movement. The work, in terms of its content, has examined the issues that occupy the agenda of Muslim society such as shirk (polytheism), bida‘ (heretical innovation), tawassul (request), and takfir (excommunication). The work, which is a refutation, draws attention as an important source in scholarly studies on Wahhā- bism in terms of its content. In this study, the theoretical and historical criticism put forward by Zahāwī will be tried to be revealed by using the textual analysis method. According to Zahāwī, Wahhabism is a movement instrumentalised for political rather than religious pur- poses. The sociological basis of this structure, which is based on Khārijite thought, is based on tribalism and contains reactionism against the other.

Muhammed Abduh, yeni ilm-i kelâm döneminde Mısır coğrafyasında yaşamış önemli bir düşünürdür. Yazmış olduğu eserler ile İslam düşüncesine katkıda bulunmuştur. O, İslâm düşünce dünyasına yeni aklî bakış açısı kazandırmak istemiştir. Dinin ilmî ve aklî hakikatlerine ulaşmayı amaçlamıştır. Bu minvalde o, çağdaş bilim anlayışına ve verilerine önem vermiştir.Abduh, akıl ve ilim arasındaki ilişkinin önemini vurgulayarak dinin rolünü etkin hale getirmeyi hedeflemiştir. Çünkü ilerleyen zamanla birlikte 19. yüzyıl dünya şartları ve düşünceyapısı haylideğişmiştir. O, bu amaçla Batı dünyasının İslam’a yönelik felsefî cereyanlarına vebâtıl akımlarına karşı söylemler geliştirmiştir. Abduh, geliştirmiş olduğu söylemlerinde“Hikmet” kavramınıbir yöntem olarak kullanmıştır.O, mevcut asırda özellikle batıda gelişen mutlak akılcı ve determinist bilim anlayışı karşısında İslam’ı hikmet kavramıyla anlatmanın uygun olacağını düşünmüştür. Abduh bu hedeflerini gerçekleştirmek, dîni düşünce yapısını ihya etmek vecanlandırmak için mücadele etmiştir. Allah Teâla’nın fiilleri, mahlûkatı, dinin maksatları üzerinde düşünmek için hikmeti bir araç ve metot olarak kullanmıştır. Bunun için o,klasik kelâmdaki gibi Allah’ın zatı ve sıfatları hakkında detaylarda saplanıp kalmaktan yahut teorik tartışmalara girmekten ziyade farklıbir yöntem tercih etmiştir. Bu amaçlaAbduh, mahlûkat üzerinde tefekkürün, nasların hikmet ve maksatları üzerinde düşünmenin önemine vurgu yapmıştır. Onun düşünce dünyasında Kur’an’ın ruhuna uygun ve isabetli yorumlar yapma, varlıkların özündeki manaları anlama, kâinatın yaratılmasındaki gayeleri bilme, insanların ihtiyacına uygun içtihatlar üretme hedeflenmiştir.İşte o bu hedefleri gerçekleştirmek için hikmeti uygun bir yöntem olarak düşünmüştür. Aynı zamanda Abduhhikmet vasıtasıyla getirdiği özgün yorumları ve akılcı yaklaşımlarıyla taklit ve taassup anlay, Muhammad Abduh is a significant thinker who lived in Egypt during the peroiod of “the new ‘ilm al-kalâm”. His writings made an impact on Islamic philosophy. He aimed to provide the world of Islamic thought a fresh rational perspective. He sought to arrive at the logical and scientific foundations of religion. In this regard, he valued knowledge of and access to data from modern science. By highlighting the significance of the connection between reason and science, Abduh hoped to make the role of religion more effective. because as time passed, the 19th century’s conditions in the world and its mentality significantly changed. He created discourses against the Western world’s misleading currents and philosophical tendencies against Islam for this reason. In his discourses, Abduh employed the concept of "wisdom" (hikmah) as a method. In response to the absolute rationalist and determinist interpretation of science that has been formed, particularly in the West in the current century, he believed it would be suitable to describe Islam with the concept of wisdom. Abduh desired that Muslims have a voice in all spheres, including sociology, psychology, science, and technology. Abduh struggled to accomplish these objectives as well as to revive and revitalize the structure of religious thought. He reflected on God’s actions, and those of His creatures, and the purposes of religion using the concept of wisdom as a tool and approach. Instead than becoming caught down in specifics or theoretical discussions on the nature and attributes of God as in classical theology, he favored a different approach for this aim. For this reason, ‘Abduh emphasized the value of reflecting on the wisdom and purposes of the texts as well as the creation as a whole. Muʿtazila contributed significantly to the formation and development of Islamic thought and theology. However, for various reasons, the Muʿtazilite school has been weakened and access to the sources that convey their system of thought has become difficult. For this reason, the information about the Muʿtazilite thought was mostly evaluated through the information transmitted by their opponents. This led to the spread of demaging accusations against them that they prioritized reason to narration and abandoned narration which needed confirmation. In Muʿtazilite sources, on the other hand, it can be seen that they use narrated information, and even narrated information occupies an essential place in these works. It is understood that their adoption of a narrower approach compared to their opponents on some issues, such as intercession (shafaa’t) and the torment of the grave, was interpreted as a total denial of the relevant problems. In this regard, it is important to identify Muʿtazilite thought from its own sources. An important issue that needs to be addressed in this context is the determination of the Muʿtazilite school's approach to the Qurʾānic parables. Since the Qurʾānic parables, are usually ambiguous regarding events and persons, various narrations are cited from different sources to elaborate on the related narratives. The miraculous narratives in the Qurʾānic parables also allow for some rational inferences. The Muʿtazilite approach to Qurʾānic parables is closely related to their understanding of reason and narration. The narratives of the Prophet Noah and his people, which are among the parables of the Qurʾān, contain issues related to the basic principles of Muʿtazila, such as prophethood, denial, building an ark based on revelation, the flood, and the destruction of the people. For this reason, it would be helpful to examine the approach of Muʿtazilite thought to the parable of Noah in the example of al-Jishumī. The study, which uses the method of, İslam düşüncesi ve kelâmının oluşum ve gelişim sürecinde Mu‘tezile’nin önemli katkıları olmuştur. Ancak çeşitli nedenlerle ilgili ekol zayıflamış, düşünce sistemlerini aktaran kaynaklara erişim zorlaşmıştır. Bu nedenle Mu‘tezilî düşünceye dair bilgiler, daha çok muhaliflerince aktarılan bilgiler üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. Bu durum aleyhlerinde; aklı nakle önceledikleri, rivayetleri terk ettikleri yönünde teyide muhtaç bazı olumsuz iddiaların şüyû bulmasına sebebiyet vermiştir. Mu‘tezilî kaynaklarda ise naklî bilginin ötelenmediği hatta rivayete dayalı bilginin önemli yekûn oluşturduğu görülmektedir. Şefaat ve kabir azabı gibi bazı konularda muhaliflerine kıyasla daha dar bir yaklaşım benimsemelerinin, ilgili meselelerin topyekûn inkârı şeklinde yorumlandığı anlaşılmaktadır. Bu açıdan Mu‘tezilî düşüncenin kendi kaynaklarından tespit edilmesi önem taşımaktadır. Bu bağlamda ele alınması gereken önemli bir mesele Mu‘tezilî ekolün Kur’ân kıssalarına yaklaşım biçiminin tespit edilmesidir. Kur’ân kıssalarında genellikle olaylar ve şahıslar mübhem olarak ifade edildiği için ilgili anlatıların detaylarına dair çeşitli rivayetler aktarılmaktadır. Kıssalarda yer alan mûcizevî anlatılar, bazı aklî çıkarımlara da imkân vermektedir. Mu‘tezilî düşüncenin Kur’ân kıssalarına yaklaşımı, akıl-nakil anlayışlarıyla yakından ilgilidir. Kur’ân kıssalarından Hz. Nûh ve kavmine dair anlatılarda yer alan; peygamberlik, inkâr, vahiyle gemi yapımı, tûfan ve kavmin helak edilmesi gibi konular, Mu‘tezile’nin temel ilkeleriyle irtibatlı hususlar içermektedir. Bu nedenle Cüşemî örnekliğinde Mu‘tezilî düşüncenin Nûh kıssasına yaklaşımının araştırılması faydalı olacaktır. Doküman ve içerik analiz yönteminin uygulandığı çalışmada; Mu‘tezilî âlimlerin Nûh kıssasına yaklaşımı, Cüşemî kaynaklığında tahlil edilmiş, itikadî düşüncelerinin Kur’ân kıssalarına yaklaşımlarındaki etkisine yer verilmiştir. Kılıçzāde Hakkı was a writer, journalist, member of parliament, and advocate of Westernism, who played a significant role in Turkish intellectual history. Kılıçzāde's writings describe the necessary steps for the progress of the state in a manner that reflects his name, as if he were fighting for it. Although most studies about the author focus on his books and articles, Kılıçzāde Hakkı also narrated his struggle against superstition, which he saw as the primary cause of regression, by carrying it to fictional ground. Even though these stories are mentioned in the studies on Kılıçzāde, a detailed evaluation has not been made. This study analyses eight stories of Kılıçzāde Hakkı that were published in the magazines İçtihad and Hürriyet-i Fikriyye. The author's struggle with superstition, religious, and social beliefs is highlighted in the stories. It can be argued that Kılıçzāde continued the intellectual struggle he began in his written works by addressing similar issues in his articles. This study aims to to demonstrate that Kılıçzāde extended the struggle he initiated in his intellectual works to the literary structure and to exemplify the use of fiction in explaining his thoughts. The methodology of the study proceeded in the following stages: identifying the author's stories, transferring them to the Latin alphabet, and finding similarities between his articles and stories. The study was analyzed under three headings. In this context, the eight stories about marriage were analyzed under the title “Are we eligible to get married?”, the stories criticizing the perception of religiosity and irreligion in the society were analysed under the title “Signs of Irreligion”, and the stories about Yunus Hodja were analyzed under the title "The Symbol of Bigotry: Yunus Hodja". It is evident from his writings that Kılıçzâde Hakkı placed great importance on the concept of family. The author discusses wedding festivities, the importance of spouses gett, Yazar, gazeteci, milletvekili ve Batıcılık fikrinin savunucusu Kılıçzâde Hakkı (öl. 1960), Türk düşünce tarihinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Kılıçzâde, yazılarında devletin ilerlemesi için yapılması gerekenleri ismiyle müsemma şekilde savaşırcasına anlatır. Yazar hakkındaki çalışmaların ekserisi kitapları ve makaleleri hakkındadır. Oysa Kılıçzâde Hakkı, gerilemenin en büyük sebebi olarak gördüğü batıl inançlarla savaşını, kurgusal zemine taşıyarak hikâyeleştirmiştir. Kılıçzâde hakkındaki çalışmalarda söz konusu hikâyelere değinilmekle birlikte ayrıntılı bir değerlendirme yapılmamıştır. Bu makalede Kılıçzâde Hakkı’nın İçtihad ve Hürriyet-i Fikriyye dergilerinde yayımlanan sekiz hikâyesi incelenmiştir. Yazarın hikâyelerinde batıl gördüğü, dinî ve toplumsal inanışlarla olan mücadelesi dikkat çekmektedir. In this book, the issue that if the Big Bang theory supports the idea that creation from nothing is discussed in terms of hudūth evidence (Kalām cosmological argument). In the first part of the study, the history of cosmology and science prior to the Big Bang theory, the basic premise of the theory, and the anti-Big Bang universe models have been studied in detail. Accordingly, the universe began to form approximately 13,7 billion years ago from an endless dense, small and hot (singularity) state that with a sudden burst (opening = expansion). Einstein’s theory of relativity, the continuing expansion of the universe (Hubble’s Law), the discovery of the cosmic background microwave radiation, and determine quantities of substances in space are presented for this theory as the most powerful evidence. In the second part, the mutakallimūn’s (Muslim theologians) hudūth evidence has been examined and described in detail. This evidence not only endeavors to prove the existence of God; but also is a product of mutakallimūn’s efforts to understand and interpret the universe as a whole. The universe which is set forth via hudūth evidence with all parts; including movement, time, and space, is hādith, that is were created from nothing and afterward. Consisting of finite units the universe has a beginning and an end. The universe consists of essence (jawhar) and attribute (a‛rādh) has lived a process of constant change and transformation (formed-disruption). In the last part of the work, the Big Bang theory is compared with the hudūth evidence. Finally, I have reached the following conclusions: Proving that the universe is expanding along with The Big Bang theory has precisely refuted the constant, eternal, and unchanging universe concept of materialist and atheist philosophies. In addition, with the relativity theory has been expired the absolute time concept; besides it has been proven the relativity the time and has been started with the universe. In this book, the issue that if the Big Bang theory supports the idea that creation from nothing is discussed in terms of hudūth evidence (Kalām cosmological argument). In the first part of the study, the history of cosmology and science prior to the Big Bang theory, the basic premise of the theory, and the anti-Big Bang universe models have been studied in detail. Accordingly, the universe began to form approximately 13,7 billion years ago from an endless dense, small and hot (singularity) state that with a sudden burst (opening = expansion). Consisting of finite units the universe has a beginning and an end. Zâriyâtsûresinin 56. âyetinde cinleri ve insanları yalnızca kendisine kulluk etmeleri için yarattığını belirten Allah, En‘âmsûresinin 130. âyetinde de “Ey cin ve insan topluluğu; size, içinizden, âyetlerimi anlatan ve şu (korkunç haşr) gününüzün geleceğini haber verip sizi korkutan peygamberler gelmedi mi?” buyurarak cin ve insin ilahi vahyin muhatabı olup ahirette hesaba çekileceklerini beyân etmektedir. In the verses, Allah states that he created jinn and humans only to serve Him (al-Dhāriyāt, 56) and says, “O jinn and human community; Didn't there come to you prophets from among yourselves who told you about My signs and warned you that this (terrible resurrection) day would come?”(al-An‘ām, 130), declaring that jinn and human bot are responsible so they will be held accountable in the hereafter. In another verse Allah draws attention to the sunnahtullah (natural/social law) in this regard by saying,, “If there were angels residing on the earth (instead of people), we would certainly have sent down an angelic prophet from the sky to them.” (al-Isrā, 95). Despite this clear divine statement, with the creation of human beings on earth, two views have emerged, one held that the jinn are subordinate to human prophets in religion and the other exclusive this to the Prophet Muhammad. The Qur’ān's verses about jinn have a great role in shaping these views. In sūrahs al-Ahqāf, and Jinn, it is stated that a group of jinn, who listened to the Prophet's recitation of the Qur’ān and believed in him, went to their own people and called them to faith. An apparent inconsistency arises between the Qur’ānic verses, which state that prophets were sent to each of the thaqalayn from their own kind, and the view that jinn are subject to human prophets in religion. Because making jinn, who are a different species from human beings, the subject of the practical provisions of the Qur’ān, which focuses on human nature and life, means that they are ontologically identified with humans, which is inconsistent with the scriptures. So, contrary to the widespread discourse on this matter, fact that the faith of the jinns in Prophet Muhammad, must have a different meaning than the subordination of humans to human prophet. The aim of this study is to reveal this difference.

Einstein’s theory of relativity, the continuing expansion of the universe (Hubble’s Law), the discovery of the cosmic background microwave radiation, and determine quantities of substances in space are presented for this theory as the most powerful evidence. In the second part, the mutakallimūn’s (Muslim theologians) hudūth evidence has been examined and described in detail. This evidence not only endeavors to prove the existence of God; but also is a product of mutakallimūn’s efforts to understand and interpret the universe as a whole. The universe which is set forth via hudūth evidence with all parts; including movement, time, and space, is hādith, that is were created from nothing and afterward. Consisting of finite units the universe has a beginning and an end. The universe consists of essence (jawhar) and attribute (a‛rādh) has lived a process of constant change and transformation (formed-disruption). In the last part of the work, the Big Bang theory is compared with the hudūth evidence. Finally, I have reached the following conclusions: Proving that the universe is expanding along with The Big Bang theory has precisely refuted the constant, eternal, and unchanging universe concept of materialist and atheist philosophies. In addition, with the relativity theory has been expired the absolute time concept; besides it has been proven the relativity the time and has been started with the universe. This book discusses the theological views of Abū Isḥāq al-Ṣaffār d. 534/1139), within the framework of his comments on the meanings of Allah’s names, provided in his work titled Talkhīṣ al-adilla. Abū Isḥāq al-Ṣaffār is one of the Ḥanafite-Māturīdite scholars in the 6th/12th century. In his work titled Talkhīṣ al-adilla li-qawāʿid al-tawḥīd on kalām, he spared extensive space for al-asmāʾ al-husnā. Approximately one third of this work, published in two volumes, is devoted to al-asmāʾ al-husnā. An examination of the related section reveals that al-Ṣaffār explains many issues, particularly those related to the existence, unity and attributes of Allah, based on 175 al-asmāʾ al-husnā. He mentions some of the names that he does not include in the al-asmāʾ al-husnā section under separate headings. For example, the name al-Mutakallim is addressed within the context of the attribute of kalām and in relation to subjects, such as the khalq al-Qurʾān and i‘jaz al-Qurʾān. Upon the addition of these names to the list, the number names reaches 178. This means that half of the work deals with the subject of al-asmāʾ al-husnā. The first section titled “Methodological Framework”, elaborates on the focus, significance, purpose and method of the study, along with the sources used. The first part describes the political, social and religious status of Transoxiana (Mā-warāʾ al-Nahr) region and the cities of Bukhara and Marw, the sociocultural environment in which Saffar lived. The second chapter addresses v, Bu kitapta, Ebû İshâk es-Saffâr’ın (öl. 534/1139) kelâmî görüşleri, Telḫîṣü’l-edille li-ḳavâʿidi’t-tevḥîd adlı eserinde Allah’ın isimlerinin anlamlarını açıklarken yaptığı yorumlar çerçevesinde ele alınmaktadır.
