Long-term, this can generate health-promoting aspects for the population and help the municipality to achieve its goals regarding mental health and equal access to outdoor activities. Kvarnängsgården seeks to strengthen and activate the connection between the city center and the leisure area by establishing a place to meet, as well as offering education and accomodation. Kvarnängsgården hybridity includes two types of accommodation: the course farm's lodging for the public and a short-term housing with daily activities for persons with certain functional impairments (according to the Swedish act of LSS). The organizations share facilities including lecture halls, activity and meeting rooms for education and interaction as well as a greenhouse, stable and restaurant, which are also open to the public.

Drawing on books and comics published in Sweden and Finland from the 1960s to the present, together with interviews and observations at contemporary Swedish riding schools, we approach this development with a geographical, historical and sociological focus. We ask how children’s equestrian cultures were formed within the spaces of horse yards, especially riding schools, and how caring well was understood and negotiated through different types of knowledge and the idea and practice of horse ownership. As we show in the analysis, despite the increase of written knowledge about horses and their care, situated and relational knowledges based on interspecies interaction prevailed in children’s equestrian cultural spheres in which children had a chance to interact with animals and care for them outside the everyday spaces of family and school. In these cultures of interspecies care, ideas of horse ownership carried expectations of continuity where the child–horse relationship was secured and could develop. To compare the efficacy of plain x-ray images and computed tomography (CT) to assess the morphology of the lateral wall (LW) component of intertrochanteric (IT) femur fractures and determine predictors of early fixation failure.DesignRetrospective cohort study.SettingLevel-one trauma center.Patients/participantsOne hundred forty-two adult patients with IT fractures treated with either a sliding hip screw (SHS) or a cephalomedullary nail (CMN) who had both pre-op plain x-ray images and CT scans with at least 6 weeks of follow-up were reviewed.InterventionPreoperative CT scan and plain radiographs of the affected hip.Main outcome measurementsLateral wall assessment based on plain x-rays versus CT imaging in relation to implant failure.ResultsOne hundred forty-two patients met inclusion criteria, 105 patients treated with a CMN, and 37 with a SHS. There was a poor correlation between the assessment of the LW on plain x-ray images and CT scans. Failures in the SHS group were significantly associated with all CT measurements (P < .05) but not with plain film LW assessment (P = .66). Fifteen patients had an early implant failure (6 CMN, 9 SHS). There were no statistically significant associations between any radiographic measurement (plain images and CT) and CMN failures.ConclusionsPlain film images are not accurate for assessing lateral wall morphology/integrity and are not predictive of SHS implant failures. Our novel CT measurements were effective at detecting lateral wall patterns at risk for treatment failure with SHS implants.Level of Evidence: Level III.

The Internet provided humans a new way to exchange information digitally and has changed how we communicate. Blockchain and cryptocurrencies have given humans a new way to exchange value over the internet. With new technology, new possibilities arise, but not always without issues. One problem that has risen with cryptocurrencies is their high volatility, meaning that the currency has big price swings. It has made these currencies objects for speculation and investment almost exclusively, and therefore they have lost their functionality as a currency. For a currency to be viewed as a good means of payment, it cannot be associated with high volatility. This is not only restricted to cryptocurrencies, as for example the Venezuelan Bolivar is a fiat currency with historically high volatility and has been losing its purchasing power due to hyperinflation in the recent years. In regard to this we propose a new cryptocurrency; the Dynamic Network Token, which aims to reduce the volatility in a cryptocurrency by regulating the supply dynamically with burning and minting. The implementation of this functionality will strive to remove the high volatility in the token for the benefits of a more stable and linear growth, and at the same time encourage users to transact with the Dynamic Network Token between each other., Internet gav människor möjlighet att utbyta information digitalt och har förändrat hur vi kommunicerar. Vi utvecklade en strategi som byggde på att flertalet omkring liggande tätorter kunde stärka varandra, i hopp om en starkare, mer sammansvetsad landsbygd. Vi föreslog nya friluftsspår som skulle länka samman dessa orter, med sevärdheter på vägen där målet var att lyfta fram det befintliga, istället för att ersätta det med nytt. Vår ambition var att göra friluftslivet lika och tillgängligt för alla, med hänsyn till de globala målen jämställdhet (5) och minskad ojämlikhet (10). I detta projekt har syftet varit att finna en plats som kan rymma Folkets Hus +. Genom höstens analys har jag funnit behovet av en verksamhet som kan attrahera och inkludera en mångfald av människor. Mölnbo har goda möjligheter att erbjuda denna plats med stor tillgång till öppen mark samt bra kommunikationer, tack vare sin pendeltågsstation. Hästsporten är en på många sätt segregerad sport som i dagsläget inte är tillgänglig för alla. För att ett barn eller ungdom ska involveras krävs ofta resursstarka och kunniga föräldrar. För människor med funktionsvariationer är kontakten med hästar och stallmiljö ofta begränsad. Jag vill i detta projekt skapa en holistisk häst- och djurverksamhet där fler kan vara delaktiga. Verksamheten kommer även eftersträva ekologisk hållbarhet med ett cirkulärt tänk. I designprocessen har stråket fått en central roll utifrån analysen i höstas där gång-, cykel- och vandringsstigen lyftes fram. I detta projekt dominerar gångstråket och ridstigen, vilket gestaltas genom att de tillåts separera och penetrera byggnadskropparna. På platsen samsas människor och djur om utrymmet och min ambition är att sudda ut hierarkierna däremellan. Jag vill genom min design skapa nya typologier för mötet mellan djur och människa. One problem that has risen with cryptocurrencies is their high volatility, meaning that the currency has big price swings. It has made these currencies objects for speculation and investment almost exclusively, and therefore they have lost their functionality as a currency. For a currency to be viewed as a good means of payment, it cannot be associated with high volatility. This is not only restricted to cryptocurrencies, as for example the Venezuelan Bolivar is a fiat currency with historically high volatility and has been losing its purchasing power due to hyperinflation in the recent years. In regard to this we propose a new cryptocurrency; the Dynamic Network Token, which aims to reduce the volatility in a cryptocurrency by regulating the supply dynamically with burning and minting. The implementation of this functionality will strive to remove the high volatility in the token for the benefits of a more stable and linear growth, and at the same time encourage users to transact with the Dynamic Network Token between each other., Internet gav människor möjlighet att utbyta information digitalt och har förändrat hur vi kommunicerar. Blockkedjeteknik och kryptovalutor har gett människan ett nytt sätt att utbyta värde på internet. Med ny teknologi kommer möjligheter, men kan även medföra problem. Ett problem som uppstått med kryptovalutor är deras volatilitet, vilket betyder att valutan upplever stora prissvängningar. Detta har gjort dessa valutor till objekt för spekulation och investering, och därmed gått ifrån sin funktion som valuta. För att en valuta ska anses som ett bra betalmedel, bör den inte ha hög volatilitet. Detta är inte bara begränsat till kryptovalutor, då till exempel Venezuelas nationella valuta Bolivar är en fiatvaluta med historiskt hög volatilitet som förlorat sin köpkraft på grund av hyperinflation under de senaste åren. Med detta i åtanke föreslår vi en ny kryptovaluta; Dynamic Network Token, vars uppgift är att reducera volatiliteten i en kryptovaluta genom att reglera utbudet dynamiskt med hjälp av burning och minting. Denna implementeringsuppgift är att minska hög volatilitet till fördel för en mer stabil och linjär tillväxt och samtidigt uppmana användare att använda Dynamic Network Token mellan varandra i nätverket.

Uvod/Cilj. Prethodne studije potvrdile su pozitivnu korelaciju između nivoa homocisteina i većeg rizika od nastanka akutnog koronarnog sindroma i moždanog udara, ali nije bilo istraživanja koja su ispitivala povezanost između vrednosti homocisteina i inflamacijskih markera i težine koronarne arterijske bolesti prema kliničkom SINTAKS skoru kod bolesnika sa stabilnom anginom pektoris. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je da se utvrdi povezanost između koncentracije homocisteina i inflamacijskih biomarkera: interleukina (IL)-6, visoko senzitivnog C-reaktivnog proteina (hs-RCP), fibrinogena i sedimentacije eritrocita (SE) i stepena težine koronarne arterijske bolesti prema kliničkom SINTAKS skoru. Metod. Kod 82 bolesnika sa stabilnom anginom pektoris (prosečne starosti 65 ± 8 godina, 28,9% žena) urađena je koronarografija, nakon čega su podeljeni u tri grupe prema kliničkom SINTAKS skoru: I grupa LT 22 (39 bolesnika), II grupa 23-32 (16 bolesnika), III grupa > 33 (27 bolesnika). Stepen težine koronarne arterijske bolesti određen je prema kliničkom SINTAKS skoru, množenjem SINTAKS I skora i modifikovanog ACEF skora, koji uzima u obzir ejekcionu frakciju leve komore, starost bolesnika i klirens kreatinina (izvedenog pomoću Cockcroft-Gault-ove jednačine). Rezultati. Vrednosti homocisteina bile su značajno više kod bolesnika sa visokim kliničkim SINTAKS skorom [I grupa: medijana (interkvartilini raspon - IQR): 10,20 (3,97), II grupa: 10,45 (5,77), III grupa: 14,70 (7,50), p = 0,005]. Bolesnici III grupe imali su značajno više vrednosti homocisteina u poređenju sa I grupom (p = 0,001). Takođe smo detektovali pozitivnu korelaciju između inflamacijskih markera (IL-6, hs-CRP, fibrinogena i SE) i težine koronarne arterijske bolesti prema kliničkom SINTAKS skoru (p = 0.017, 0.001, 0.032, 0.049 redom). Eighty-two patients with stable angina pectoris (average age 65 ± 8 years, 28.9% females) underwent coronary angiography and were divided into three groups according to the clinical SYNTAX score: the group I LT 22 (39 patients), the group II 23-32 (16 patients), the group III > 33 (27 patients). In recent years, organic-inorganic halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have emerged as the fastest growing solar cell technology. This is due to their rapid performance improvement from 3.8% in 2009 to 25.2% most recently due to their outstanding optoelectronic and material properties. For the technology to be commercially viable, practical-size-cells and stable perovskite cells need to be demonstrated. Solution process engineering is one of the most effective methods of engineering the formation of perovskite for high quality film to improve stability and performance devices. The first part of this thesis develops a scalable anti-solvent process for improving perovskite formation, i.e. a spray method using a mixture of chlorobenzene (CBZ) and acetonitrile (ACN). It is found that CBZ is responsible for facilitating perovskite nucleation and ACN as a weak polarity solvent performs two functions i) allows the organic salt in the perovskite complex to be re-dissolved for perovskite formation and ii) loosens the DMSO-PbI2 bond for more rapid perovskite crystallization. The second part of this thesis tackles the moisture instability of perovskite solar cells by using a method of mixing Phenethylammonium (PEA), a hydrophobic cation, with perovskite precursors for the formation of (FAPbI3)0.85(MABr3)0.15. PEA is shown to be effective in passivating the grain boundaries and the TiO2 / perovskite interface, resulting in improved cell stability. The last part of this thesis investigates the impact of the different perovskite precursor preparation methods on perovskite film properties and stability behaviour in PEA-based perovskite solar cells. Two different precursor preparation methods which are termed the (i) “different phase method” (DP) where perovskite precursor is a mixture of 3D (FA0.85MA0.15Pb(I0.85Br0.15)3) + 2D (PEA2Pb(I0.85Br0.15)4) ) and ii) “same phase methods” (SP) where pre-mixed precursors: quasi-2D (PEA2FAn-1PbnI3n+1) + quasi-2D (PEA2MAn-1PbnBr3n+1) are used

The dielectric, ferroelectric, energy-storage, electrostrain properties, and impedance performance of these materials were systematically investigated. A large strain response under low driving electric field was obtained that benefits from the enhanced relaxor-to-ferroelectric phase transition. The optimum piezoelectric stain coefficient d33* of 930 pm/V (under 40 kV/cm) was achieved in BNST-1MN composition. The substitution by MN dopant gave rise to a homogeneous micro-morphology with small grains that gave rise to an enhanced high breakdown strength (BDS). Slim and slanted ferroelectric hysteresis was obtained by introducing a larger amount of MN, and hence the BNST-2MN ceramic exhibits a high energy-storage density of 1.30 J/cm3 at 110 kV/cm, accompanied with an excellent fatigue-free behavior. The dielectric response exhibited a stable high temperature dielectric property with low dielectric loss. These results indicate that BNST-100xMN ceramics are promising candidates for the actuator and energy storage applications.

However, this strategy is limited to only activating the extrinsic pseudocapacitance in terms of improving surface-based reactions. Herein, it is aimed to improve the sodiation performance by enhancement from both intrinsic and extrinsic pseudocapacitance to maximize sodiation potential of materials. A rarely reported but highly functional spinel MnCo2S4 (MCS), is introduced and systematically analyzed using first-principles investigations, which exhibits energetically favorable charge-transfer states and strong Na-ions adsorption kinetics as well as diffusion channels (−3.65 and 0.40 eV respectively). The overall electrochemical redox profiles of the MCS nanostructure is revealed by in situ techniques, which disclose the commencing of partial and then a full conversion-type sodiation at low discharge potentials (0.52 V vs Na/Na+) with fast Na-ions diffusivity. Assisted by surface engineering technology on the intrinsically pseudocapacitive MCS, the urchin-like morphology is instrumental in boosting and realizing sodium storage performance, especially the surface capacitive behavior (from 73.4% to 94.1%), prolonged cycling stability (>800 cycles), and high-rate capability (416 mAh g−1 at 10 A g−1), as well as exhibiting remarkable full cell capability (high rate at 2 A g−1, >200 cycles at 200 mA g−1).

Vitamin D is produced in the skin from 7-dehydrocholesterol during sun-exposure and enhances intestinal phosphor and calcium absorption thus enhancing the bone remodeling process. Now, in the 21st century, Vitamin D is still relevant as positive health effects have been recognized and with it an increased number of samples and a demand for accurate analyzing. Vitamin D is commonly believed to be sensitive to ultraviolet radiation in serum and blood samples and therefore have traditionally been kept protected from light exposure from the time of sampling until the finished analyze. However recent studies have proven 25- hydroxyvitamin D (25[OH]D) to be stable in both whole blood and serum. As previous studies have been primarily conducted in research laboratories with the aim to study vitamin D under specific research-laboratory conditions the aim of this study was to study the stability of 25[OH]D in serum and whole blood within both primary care- and hospital laboratories under normal and exaggerated conditions with the purpose to evaluate possible pre-analytical issues with everyday handling processes. The assay used was high pressure liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, HPLCMS/MS, and the sought analytes 25-hydroxyvitamin D2 and 25-hydroxyvitamin D3, 25[OH]D2 and 25[OH]D3. The results showed that 25-hydroxyvitamin D is stable in serum for 24 hours at room temperature whilst exposed to light both ultraviolet and fluorescent. However, this strategy is limited to only activating the extrinsic pseudocapacitance in terms of improving surface-based reactions. Herein, it is aimed to improve the sodiation performance by enhancement from both intrinsic and extrinsic pseudocapacitance to maximize sodiation potential of materials. A rarely reported but highly functional spinel MnCo2S4 (MCS), is introduced and systematically analyzed using first-principles investigations, which exhibits energetically favorable charge-transfer states and strong Na-ions adsorption kinetics as well as diffusion channels (−3.65 and 0.40 eV respectively). The overall electrochemical redox profiles of the MCS nanostructure is revealed by in situ techniques, which disclose the commencing of partial and then a full conversion-type sodiation at low discharge potentials (0.52 V vs Na/Na+) with fast Na-ions diffusivity. Assisted by surface engineering technology on the intrinsically pseudocapacitive MCS, the urchin-like morphology is instrumental in boosting and realizing sodium storage performance, especially the surface capacitive behavior (from 73.4% to 94.1%), prolonged cycling stability (>800 cycles), and high-rate capability (416 mAh g−1 at 10 A g−1), as well as exhibiting remarkable full cell capability (high rate at 2 A g−1, >200 cycles at 200 mA g−1).

The ubiquitous active oxygen species attack both the organic electrolyte and the carbon cathode, triggering various parasitic reactions. Meanwhile, dendrite growth and volume expansion upon repeated plating/stripping and O 2 crossover severely limit the reversibility of alkali metal anodes. Here, an overview of the strategies against these issues is given to improve the stability of nonaqueous alkali metal-O 2 batteries, which is discussed from three aspects: air cathodes, alkali metal anodes, and aprotic electrolytes. Furthermore, perspectives for future research of stable alkali metal-O 2 batteries are outlined.

Those needs are analysed and as a result, several solutions are proposed in this Basic Project. Several sheds have been planned, one as an indoor riding trail, one as a preparation space, sheds for the horse boxes and a warehouse to store the horse's feed. Furthermore, a full equipped locker room space and a cafeteria have also been planned. All those indoor spaces joint with external riding trails, paddocks and parking spaces integrate the hippic complex. Finally, the installations of water, light and sanitation have been pre-designed. The construction has been planned using metallic structural materials.

The construction consists of three parts. An inner ring which rotates around the Z-axis, an outer ring which rotates around the Y-axis and a handle with space for three DC motors and a microcontroller. In this project an Arduino Nano was used. To detect inclination an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) was deployed. An IMU is a sensor consisting of three gyroscopes and three accelerometers, one for each coordinate axis. The software for the construction consists of four parts; angle reading, a Kalman filter, two PID-controllers and a motor controller. When a container is inserted into the construction the four-part system keeps the container horizontal and stable. Experimental data shows that in 84% of the tests the construction could stabilize the container., Självstabiliserande system kan man finna i många olika sammanhang. Routing trains through busy railway station layouts is an important part of the timetabling process. For each train, a feasible route has to be determined to provide reliable operations, given the arrival and departure times at stations. In this paper, we propose a model for stable and robust train routing with the goal to minimize capacity occupation and maximize robustness. We define a multi-objective optimization problem and provide the heuristic RouteCare based on a max-plus automata model and a delay propagation model. We consider microscopic infrastructure to guarantee practical feasibility. The performance of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated on real-life instances of the Dutch railway network. The generated solutions outperformed the variants of RouteCare that independently maximize stability or robustness by 10.4% and 9.5%, respectively. In addition, RouteCare showed that even for the same number of resources used, a more robust route plan can be found that uses the station capacity more efficiently., Transport and Planning

Network dysfunction is well established in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and has been shown to be present early in the disease. This is especially interesting in patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) since they are more likely to develop AD. In EEG, one type of network analysis is microstates where the EEG is divided into quasi-stable states and these microstates have been linked to networks found with resting state functional MRI. In the current exploratory study, we therefore wanted to explore the changes in microstates in MCI, and AD compared to healthy controls (HC) and whether microstates were able to separate patients with MCI who progressed (pMCI) and those who remained stable (sMCI). EEGs were recorded at baseline for 17 patients with AD, 27 patients with MCI, and 38 older HC and the patients were followed for 3 years. To investigate whole-brain dynamics we extracted different microstate parameters. We found that patients with MCI, and AD had significantly higher occurrence (p-value = 0.028), and coverage (p-value = 0.010) for microstate A compared to HC. However, we did not find any significant systematic deviation of the transition probabilities from randomness for any of the groups. No significant differences were found between pMCI and sMCI but the largest difference in duration was found for microstate D. Microstate A has been linked to the temporal lobes in studies combining EEG and fMRI and the temporal lobes are the most affected by AD pathology in the early stages of the disease. This supports our idea that microstate A may be the first affected microstate in early AD. Even though not significant between pMCI and sMCI, Microstate D has previously been shown to be associated with both frontal and parietal areas as measured with fMRI and may correspond to underlying pathological changes in the progression of MCI to AD. However, larger studies are needed to confirm these findings.

Exploring economically efficient electrocatalysts with robust bifunctional oxygen conversion catalytic activity and designing appropriate structures are essential to realize ideal zinc-Air batteries with high energy density and long lifespan. Two-dimensional metallic state Co3FeN nanosheets with a holey-structured architecture are designed and shown to exhibit enhanced catalytic properties owing to the complete exposure of the atoms in the large lateral surfaces and in the edges of pore areas, together with the lowest OH∗ adsorption energy on exposed surfaces due to bimetallic synergistic effects. Meanwhile, this porous architecture can not only accelerate electron transportation by its metallic state highly oriented crystallized structure, but also facilitate the diffusion of intermediates and gases. These edge-enriched 2D holey Co3FeN nanosheets exhibit enhanced catalytic activity towards reversible oxygen conversion. When employed in zinc-Air batteries, they exhibit a maximum power density of 108 mW cm-2 and cycle life up to 900 cycles with a low round-Trip voltage of 0.84 V. The Co3FeN nanosheets maintain a strong stable structure in an oxygen-rich electrochemical environment with a high-orientation crystalline texture during the whole cycling time. This work may provide a promising candidate to promote the further development of zinc-Air batteries.
