The ubiquity and yet distinctiveness of domestic sites for scientific research have attracted an unprecedented focus in recent years, especially in studies concerned with the gendering of science and the rise of citizen science movements of the late twentieth century. It is fair to say this “new” subfield has now entered a stage of maturity, even as it continues to grow and adopt new theoretical perspectives. Following an historiographical shift we might call the “domestic turn” in histories of science, “domesticities” emerges as a critical, analytical lens through which to view scientific developments in a range of historical contexts globally. The emphasis in the literature has moved from one on the “house of experiment” to one on the “laboratory of domesticity”, attending particularly to the permeability, plasticity, portability, and plurality of instances of entanglement between domesticities and science. In view of the emergence of new empirical cases and theoretical perspectives, this paper revisits the status of domesticities within histories of science to consider the current status of the historiography and to suggest even further directions for new research.

Ovaj diplomski rad sastoji se od teorijskog i empirijskog dijela. U prvom dijelu rada pojmovno je obrađena tema poslovnog pregovaranja i izvora pregovaračke moći koji su sistematizirani u sveobuhvatni sustav. Nadalje uzevši u obzir da je poslovno pregovaranje sastavni dio ljudske svakodnevice i da primjenu nalazi u mnogim sferama djelovanja, reflektira se na njegovu uporabu u glazbenoj/event industriji. Shodno čemu je pobliže objašnjen sam pojam eventa, njegova organizacija i svrha, isto kao i uloga event menadžera, te njihovog korištenja izvora pregovaračke moći u ostvarivanju prednosti i boljih uvjeta u postizanju dogovora sa glazbenicima., This thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The first part of the paper conceptually deals with the topic of business negotiation and sources of bargaining power that are systematized into a comprehensive system. Furthermore, taking into account that business negotiation is an integral part of human everyday life and that its application is found in many spheres of activity, it is reflected in its use in the music / event industry. Accordingly, the concept of the event, its organization and purpose, as well as the role of event managers, and their use of sources of bargaining power in achieving benefits and better conditions in reaching agreements with musicians are explained in more detail.
