Symptoms of anxiety and depression were assessed by Hospital Anxiety and Depression (HAD) scale with a threshold ≥ 7. A multiple regression was performed to reveal the cross-sectional predictors of affective symptoms and QoL among women with SUI.Results: Women with SUI had a significantly higher prevalence of symptoms of anxiety and depression than the controls (50% vs 11% and 29% vs 3.1%, respectively; both p< 0.001) and worse health-related QoL on all domains of the KHQ. In multiple logistic regression models adjusted for sociodemographic and clinical variables of uro-gynaecological history, perceived symptoms of mild-to-severe depression were associated with a higher amount of leakage (OR=3.59; 1.04– 12.4), older age (≥ 55 years old vs < 55 years old) (OR=5.82; 1.47– 23.1) and higher BMI (OR=1.13; 1.01– 1.27). In addition, when controlled for all domains of the KHQ, perceived depressive symptoms were associated with the “emotions” domain of the KHQ (OR=1.06; 1.02– 1.09). Perceived anxiety symptoms (independent of age) were related to shorter duration of SUI, low parity, absence of comorbidities and to higher scores on the “personal relationships” and “emotions” domains of the KHQ.Conclusion: Women with SUI have a significantly poorer QoL than their counterparts without SUI. It was determined that one-half of women with SUI had anxiety symptoms, while one-third of women with SUI had depressive symptoms. In addition, this study indicated that QoL was associated with anxiety symptoms in middle-aged women and with depressive symptoms in older women, especially those with a shorter duration of SUI.Keywords: urinary incontinence, anxiety, depression, King’s Health Questionnaire

The aim of this study was to evaluate relation between the consumers gender, age, education, civil state, profession and its field with their perception, emotional motivations and selection of information sources about a healthy eating. In addition, to evaluate possible relation of the food choice and people‘s mood, the initial study about the emotions induced by the different tastes of food for people's with and without depressive disorder was performed. It was established that the gender is significant factor on the most of the emotional motivations. Also, participants age have a significant influence on motivation “food makes me feel good“, as well as education have a significant influence on perceptions about a healthy eating. Most of the analysed perceptions were significantly influenced by civil state, profession and professional field of the participants. The results obtained by using FaceReader technic showed higher sensibility, than the evaluation by using hedonic scale, which can be influenced by participants previous emotions, which were induced by memory about food uses in the past, and it was established that the mood has a link with the choice of food. Finally, FaceReader is very promising technique to detect differences in facial emotion expressions induced by different taste of food for different mood people's groups, but more research is needed to see how this technology performs in more complex testing procedures, simulated or ‘‘real life’’ environments. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

Overall ranking Table 12 shows the rank each country was able to achieve in each of the ten categories. As can be seen from table 12, different countries excelled in different categories. 13 different countries (Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, Spain and the UK- both England and Scotland) came first in at least one of the 10 categories. Three countries however excelled and could score first place in three different categories: • Finland came first in care availability, care affordability and in the number of international conventions ratified. • Ireland came first in the treatment, dementia as a priority and employment right categories. • The United Kingdom (England) came first in the categories treatment, dementia friendliness and legal rights. In order to calculate the overall ranking of countries, we based the global score on a combined score of the ten different categories with each contributing m% to the overall score. This score is presented as a percentage of the over-all maximum score which countries could have achieved and leads to the following ranking as shown in figure 13. According to the overall ranking, Finland, the United Kingdom (England) and the Netherlands were the countries which had the most dementia-friendly policies in place, with Albania, Latvia and Bosnia and Herzegovina being the countries which need to make the most progress and reforms to improve the lives of people with dementia in their countries. When looking at the map of Europe (see map 5 below), we can see that there are significant differences across Europe with countries in Northern and Central Europe generally scoring much better than countries in Southern Europe.
