In view of open-pit mine complex special terrain, to improved method of constructing triangulated irregular net and combined with the extended boundary, that can remission the phenomenon that steps were flattened and the problem of inefficiency mining area model update. Using constrained triangulated irregular net once generation algorithm, through extraction of spatial data, establish topological relationships and spatial indexing, eventually build a constraints of triangulated irregular net within the boundary constraint line. Combining extended boundary with the triangulated irregular net generated algorithm, can realize the establishment partial model as well as partial and overall model splicing. Thus enhanced the efficiency of the mining area overall model updating.

To identify the endemic error of the precise point positioning which cannot be weakened or eliminated in precise point positioning (PPP) zero-difference model, the 24 h observation data acquired from CHAN station on Oct 31st, 2010, were adopted for analyses, different correction models of various errors were discussed and their influences on traditional zero-difference model were analyzed. The results show that the errors cannot be ignored. They must be corrected with suitable models and estimated with auxiliary parameters. The influence magnitudes of all errors are defined, and the results have guiding significance to improve the accuracy of precise point positioning zero-difference model.

Based on the basic theory description of 3S, and gave the example of dump of Hanzhou open-pit which belongs to Fuxin Mining Group, first of all, used the GPS technology of static and RTK to get the three-dimensional position of the points in survey control network and the topographic maps before and after the reclamation in reclamation area; used the technology of GPS RTK to calibrate the geometric elements designed in land reclamation, at the same time to get the actual coordinates of the design point after layout. Then, used RS technology to supervise systematically on land reclamation of mining area from the time to space; finally, used GIS technology to display 3-D visualization, analyze, manage, and enquire the date obtained by GPS and RS data, which can facilitate the decision decision-makers to plan land reclamation current and long-term, and can be extended to other mines which have same or similar conditions.

The checking survey in Open mine is one of the most frequent and important work. It plays the role of forming a connecting link between open mine planning and production. Traditional checking method has such disadvantages as long time consumption, heavy workload, complicated calculating process, and lower automation. Used GPS and GIS technologies to systematically study the core issues of checking survey in open mine. A detail GPS data acquisition coding scheme was presented. Based on the scheme an algorithm used for computer semiautomatic cartography was made. Three methods used for eliminating gross errors from raw data which were needed for creating DEM was discussed. Two algorithms were researched and realized which can be used to create open mine fine DEM model with constrained conditions and to dynamically update the model. The precision analysis and evaluation of the created model were carried out.

The composition and development of CORS are studied in this paper and the application of CORS in surveying, deformation monitoring and vehicle scheduling system of open-pit mine are also analyzed. Through analysis and comparison, the foundation of CORS system will enhance overall surveying accuracy and efficiency of open pit mine, decrease surveying cost, enhance accuracy and automation ability of deformation monitoring and improve working efficiency of vehicle scheduling system. The foundation of CORS system certainly accelerate the digital process of mine, promoting the development of mine, improving the management and production efficiency of mine. Thus, Building own CORS system is essential to large open pit mines all over the country.

Most of the methods used so far for road extraction are to extract the roads as poly-lines from remote sensing image, but in the high resolution image, the road always has the character of surface, so the extraction result should be parallel contour. In the paper, multi-resolution analysis, template matching theory, combining double-Snake model are used to extract the road from high resolution image of QUICKBIRD. Firstly centralized poly-lines are extracted by template matching, and then the parallel contours are extracted by double-snake model and the road intersections are extracted. At last the whole road network is reconstructed. Experiment shows that the method is effective and practical.
