The current work aimed to analyze, morphologically, statistically and molecularly, oocysts shed from plumbeous pigeons Patagioenas plumbea Vieillot, 1818 from a locality at 2197m of altitude near the Agulhas Negras peak, the highest point of the State of Rio de Janeiro, southeastern Brazil. The oocysts were extremely polymorphic, being subspheroidal, ovoidal or ellipsoidal, in addition to having the random presence/absence of characteristic features associated with the oocyst wall, such as micropyle, micropyle cap, lateral micropyle and outer veil/rough wall. Linear regression confirmed the extreme polymorphism of oocysts, showing that if all combinations of taxonomic characters in oocysts (morphotypes) were overestimated, 19 different species could be identified/described. In contrast, the means comparison analysis between oocysts with presence/absence of characteristic features and the histograms showed equivalences and regularity in the distribution in the classes of measures, which indicate the presence of a single species in the measured oocysts. Molecular analyzes was performed from the isolation of individual oocysts of different morphotypes, which had their genetic material extracted, amplified and sequenced in 4 non-overlapping loci in cox1, cox3 genes and fragments of small and large subunit rDNA of mitochondrial DNA. The sequences were 100% identical between the morphotypes, with the exception of a very small divergence observed at the locus that partially covers the cox3 gene. The phylogenetic analysis was inconclusive for the locus within cox1 gene traditionally used for eimeriid coccidians, however the other loci should have a promising future for phylogenetic studies when more sequences for the same genic regions are deposited in GenBank. Finally, the multifactorial analysis of the current work supported that the polymorphic oocysts shed from P. plumbea are a single species, which was named as Eimeria patagioenasae, making this the twenty-second eimerian description from Columbiformes.

This study was developed to examine the performance, carcass and cut yields, nutrient digestibility, and intestinal histomorphometry of chickens fed diets supplemented with protected sodium butyrate until 21 days of age. Two experiments were conducted, both of which involved the following treatments: basal diet with inclusion of an antibiotic; basal diet without antibiotic or protected sodium butyrate (PSB; control); basal diet with inclusion of 225 g/t PSB in the pre-starter and starter phases; and basal diet with inclusion of 300 g/t PSB in the pre-starter and starter phases. In the first experiment, 784 male broiler chicks were distributed into the four treatments, with seven replicates of 28 birds, to evaluate performance and carcass and cut yields. In experiment II, 280 male broiler chicks were distributed into the four treatments, with seven replicates of 10 birds, to evaluate intestinal digestibility and histomorphometry. At 42 days of age, the broilers supplemented with 225 g/t PSB had a higher average final weight than the control group. At seven days, the chickens supplemented with 300 g/t PSB exhibited the highest duodenal villus height; those supplemented with 225 or 300g/t PSB or antibiotic showed the greatest jejunal villus height; and those treated with 225 g/t PSB exhibited the highest jejunal villus/crypt ratio. At 21 days of age, the broilers that received 225 g/t PSB showed the highest duodenal and jejunal villus height. The use of protected sodium butyrate in chicken diets up to 21 days of age improves intestinal development and performance until slaughter age.

Isospora coerebae Berto, Flausino, Luz, Ferreira and Lopes, 2010 Host: Bananaquit Coereba flaveola (Linnaeus, 1758) (Passeriformes: Thraupidae: Coerebinae) Locality: Private Natural Heritage Reserve of Porangaba (22°48’29.83’’S; 43°49’38.77’’W), Municipality of Itaguaí, State of Rio de Janeiro, Southeastern Brazil. Specimens: Photomicrographs are deposited and available (http://r1.ufrrj.br/labicoc/colecao.html) in the Parasitology Collection of the Laboratório de Biologia de Coccídios, at UFRRJ, under repository number 115/2021. Photovouchers of the host specimens are deposited in the same collection. Representative DNA sequence: DNA amplification of the COI1 and COI2 genic regions showed clear bands around ~250 bp and ~650 bp, respectively. Representative sequences were deposited in the GenBank database under the accession numbers: OK194671 (COI1); and OK194672 (COI2). Site of infection: Unknown. Prevalence: 100% (1/1). Sporulation: Exogenous. All oocysts were passed in the feces unsporulated and were fully sporulated by day 7 in K 2 Cr 2 O 7 solution at room temperature (20–25°C). Morphology (Fig 1 A-F): Oocyst (n = 15) sub-spherical, 22−27 × 22−25 (24.4 × 22.9); length/width (L/W) ratio 1.0−1.1 (1.07). Wall bi-layered, smooth outer wall about 2/3 total thickness, 1.5−1.8 (1.7). Micropyle, polar granules and oocyst residuum absent. Sporocyst elongate ovoidal, 16−19 × 10−11 (17.6 × 10.5); L/W ratio 1.6−1.8 (1.67). Stieda body present, prominent and rounded, 1.3−1.5 × 1.9−2.3 (1.4 × 2.1). Sub-Stieda body present, short and wide, 1.0−1.6 × 3.1−3.7 (1.3 × 3.5). Para-Stieda body absent. Crystalloid body sometimes present in the center of the sporocyst. Sporocyst residuum present, composed of many scattered granules of different sizes. Sporozoites vermiform, with a prominent posterior refractile body. Remarks: The oocysts recovered from the bananaquit in the current work are morphologically equivalent to the original description of I. coerebae, which have a typical and easily identifiable morphology, mainly in the Stieda and Sub-Stieda bodies (Berto et al. 2010). Table 1 compares the morphology and morphometry of the oocysts from the current work with those from the original description of I. coerebae. The typical morphology of the Stieda and Sub-Stieda bodies of I. coerebae are the basis of differentiation from another congeneric species, Isospora cagasebi Berto, Flausino, Luz, Ferreira and Lopes, 2008, which has the same host- and locality-types: C. flaveola in the Marambaia Island (Berto et al. 2008) (Table 1). However, in the current work no oocyst of I. cagasebi was observed, which, despite being similar in some characteristic features to I. coerebae, their sporocysts have knob-like Stieda body and prominent Sub-Stieda body, while I. coerebae has rounded Stieda body and short and wide Sub-Stieda body (Berto et al. 2010). Phylogenetic analysis: Phylogenetic analysis included sequences from coccidians available in GenBank (Figs. 2; 3). Toxoplasma gondii (Nicolle and Manceaux, 1908) was used as the outgroup. In the phylogenetic analysis based on the COI1 gene (Fig. 2), I. coerebae was recovered in a clade with the highest similarity of 99% with Isospora sepetibensis Berto, Flausino, Luz, Ferreira and Lopes, 2008 from black-goggled tanagers Trichothraupis melanops (Vieillot, 1818) of the Itatiaia National Park, which is located in the mountainous region in the interior of Southeastern Brazil. Isospora coerebae Berto, Flausino, Luz, Ferreira & Lopes, 2010 is a coccidian protozoan described from bananaquits Coereba flaveola (Linnaeus, 1758), on Marambaia Island, which is located on the southeastern Brazilian coast. In this current work, I. coerebae is identified from C. flaveola in a protected area close to Marambaia Island, but on the mainland, establishing a new location of parasitism, in addition to providing a preliminary genotypic characterization via sequencing of two regions of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (COI) gene. Its oocysts are sub-spherical, 24.4 × 22.9 μm, with smooth, bilayered wall, ~1.7 μm thick. Micropyle, polar granules and oocyst residuum are absent. Sporocysts are elongate ovoidal, 17.6 × 10.5 μm. Stieda body prominent and rounded and sub-Stieda body short and wide. Sporocyst residuum is composed of scattered granules of different sizes. Sporozoites are vermiform with a prominent posterior refractile body. The oocysts of the current work are morphologically equivalent to the original description of I. coerebae, which have a typical and easily identifiable morphology, mainly in the Stieda and Sub-Stieda bodies. The two sequenced gene regions of the COI gene approximated I. coerebae to Isospora spp. from Southeastern Brazil, but also from Isospora spp. from passerines of North America, Europe and Asia. Although there is a small overlap between the two genic regions sequenced in the current work, it is estimated that the longer COI sequence, which was recently designed and still not widespread, should show better phylogenetic results in the future.

Isospora basileuterusi Mello & Berto n. sp. is described based on material from the golden-crowned warbler Basileuterus culicivorus (Deppe) captured in the Itatiaia National Park (Parque Nacional do Itatiaia), a conservation unit in south-eastern Brazil. Oöcysts of the new species are ellipsoidal to ovoidal, measuring on average 25.2 × 21.1 μm, with a smooth, bi-layered wall, c.1.6 μm thick. Micropyle and oöcyst residuum are both absent, but one to three polar granules are present. Sporocysts are ellipsoidal to lemon-shaped, measuring on average 15.3 × 9.5 μm, with a knob-like Stieda body and a trapezoidal sub-Stieda body. Sporocyst residuum is present, usually as a body of membrane-bound granules. Sporozoites are vermiform, with refractile bodies. Four of the 19 warblers captured (21%) were infected with the new species. Molecular analysis of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (cox1) gene revealed a similarity of 99.5% between the new species and Isospora serinuse Yang, Brice, Elliot & Ryan, 2015 from island canaries Serinus canaria (L.) in Western Australia. The oöcysts of I. basileuterusi n. sp. can be distinguished from the four other Isospora spp. recorded in hosts of the Parulidae, and from the molecularly most closely related species, by the typical ellipsoidal to lemon-shaped sporocysts, with small sub-Stieda body and a membrane-bound sporocyst residuum. Therefore, based on the morphological and molecular features, I. basileuterusi n. sp. is the fifth species described in a host of the family Parulidae and the first molecularly characterized via sequencing the cox1 gene.

Neste artigo pretende-se mostrar uma investigação que vem sendo feita em escolas de formação profissional brasileiras com o uso de Células de Inovação (CI). As CI's são grupos de estudantes envolvidos com a tarefa de solucionar um problema concreto da de sua escola ou bairro utilizando-se de conhecimentos técnico-científicos. Procurou-se investigar, através de uma metodologia etnográfica, como esses alunos aprendem os conteúdos de ciência ao solucionar seu problema e se a inovação é algo que possa ser aprendido. As situações trabalhados são problematizadas numa perspectiva CTS e, em seguida, são discutidas soluções. A implementação das melhores soluções gera nova discussão CTS sobre seu impacto. O trabalho aqui descrito cobre apenas uma célula. Pretende-se que a partir de 2010 que a investigação estenda-se para várias células trabalhando em rede.

Background: Osteoarthritis (OA) is considered the third most prevalent chronic non-communicable disease in the Brazilian population, being responsible for a high rate of physical disability and reduced quality of life. Little has been discussed about the social factors associated with this health condition. This study aimed to analyze the social factors associated with OA in the Brazilian population. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study based on data from the 2013 National Health Survey in Brazil with OA as its main outcome. Gender, age, body weight, usual activities, physical activity, self-perceived health and diagnosis of depression were analyzed as independent variables. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used. Poisson multiple regression was performed, and the prevalence ratio (PR) and confidence interval (CI) of 95% were calculated using a significance level of 5% (p≤0.05). Results: A total of 60,202 individuals of both genders took part in this study and the OA prevalence was 6.4%. The individual factors associated with a higher prevalence of OA were female gender (PR = 2.09; CI = 1.95-2.25), age over 35 years (PR = 2.88; CI = 2.57-3.24) and excess body weight (PR = 1.61; CI = 1.25-2.07). The presence of OA showed an association with lower performance of usual activities (PR = 1.61; CI = 1.50-1.73) and self-perceived health as very poor (PR = 3.96; CI = 3.31-4.72). In addition, it was associated with a higher prevalence of mental illnesses such as depression (PR = 1.77; CI = 1.64-1.90). Conclusion: Social and modifiable factors which are associated with a higher prevalence of osteoarthritis can be controlled through incentive measures such as social participation and physical activity.

O presente trabalho foi realizado na Estação Cientifica Ferreira Penna, dentro da Floresta Nacional de Caxiuanã, Melgaço, Pará, Brasil (01º 42" 30"S; 51º 31" 45"W; 60 m altitude). A região é uma floresta de terra firme, com vegetação densa e dossel com altura média de 35 m e árvores emergentes acima de 50 m, densidade de 450 a 550 árvores por hectare. O objetivo foi o de quantificar a precipitação total incidente acima do dossel, precipitação efetiva e precipitação interna, o escoamento da água pelos troncos e interceptação da precipitação pela vegetação no período de março a dezembro de 2004, quando foram realizadas 40 coletas semanais. Na medida da precipitação interna foram utilizados 25 pluviômetros, distribuídos aleatoriamente em um hectare, subdividido em cem parcelas de 10 x 10 m, os escoamentos pelos troncos foram medidos em sete árvores com diâmetros à altura do peito (DAP) representativos para as árvores da área. O estudo revelou uma precipitação efetiva de 905,4 mm e precipitação interna de 885,4 mm, um escoamento pelos troncos de 20 mm e uma interceptação de 248 mm, correspondendo, a 78,5%, 76,8%, 1,7% e 21,5% da precipitação acima do dossel, que foi de 1.153,4 mm, no período de estudo, respectivamente.The present work was carried out at the Ferreira Penna Scientific Station, in the Caxiuanã National Forest, Melgaço, Pará, Brazil (01º 42" 30"S; 51º 31" 45"W; 60 m a.s.l.). The studied region is an upland forest with closed vegetation and a mean canopy height of 35 m although some trees can be 50 m high. The species density is between 450 and 550 plants per hectare. The aim was to quantify the net precipitation, throughfall, stemflow and rain interception by vegetation, from March to December of 2004. For the throughfall measurements 25 rain gauges were randomly distributed in an one hectare area subdivided in one hundred parcels of 10 x 10 m, while the stemflow was measured on seven trees with a stem diameter at breast height representative of the area. The results showed values of net precipitation of 905.4 mm, throughfall of 885.4 mm, stemflow 20 mm and rain interception of 248 mm,corresponding respectively to 78.5%, 76.8%, 1.7% e 21.5% of the total precipitation above the canopy which was 1,153.4 mm for the study period.

Phylogenetic analysis based on the full-length E gene sequences obtained for 30 Brazilian SLEV strains was performed using different methods including Bayesian and relaxed molecular clock approaches. A new genetic lineage was suggested, hereafter named genotype VIII, which co-circulates with the previously described genotype V in the Brazilian Amazon region. Genotypes II and III were restricted to São Paulo state (South-east Atlantic rainforest ecosystem). The analysis also suggested the emergence of an SLEV common ancestor between 1875 and 1973 (mean of 107 years ago), giving rise to two major genetic groups: genotype II, more prevalent in the North America, and a second group comprising the other genotypes (I and III–VIII), broadly dispersed throughout the Americas, suggesting that SLEV initially emerged in South America and spread to North America. In conclusion, the current study demonstrates the high genetic variability of SLEV and its geographical dispersion in Brazil and other New World countries.

Dealing with work groups is a challenge for organizations where projects are the main focus. During their activities if cooperation is not adequately coordinated and well supported it can provoke significant delays on the project or can put the final product quality at risk. The goal of this paper is to describe the risks control module, named Risys, to support the execution of project developed by the use of Web-based Groupware on Project Management System (WGPMS). This infrastructure is comprised of groupware applications which are based both on computational intelligence and Monte Carlo technique. Experiments which were already carried out reveal valuable results related to the implemented rules on Risys. However, additional case studies need to be carried out from the moment that new applications were integrated on WGPMS, as well as new rules that were added to the database system.

Este trabalho é parte de uma pesquisa que teve como objetivo investigar como o conhecimento científico presente no tema cinética química foi sendo apropriado pelos livros didáticos de Química de ensino médio. Investigaram-se as concepções sobre ciência vinculadas à abordagem deste assunto nos livros. Foram utilizadas categorias que representam as perspectivas filosóficas empiristas/indutivistas e a racionalista, tendo sido analisados 20 livros, no período de 1929 a 2004. Foi considerado o conteúdo referente aos modelos teóricos utilizados para explicar a velocidade das reações e a influência da concentração e da temperatura sobre essa. A perspectiva predominante nos livros foi a empirista/indutivista, independentemente da época em que foram editados, o que pode revelar que os autores não consideraram as mudanças de perspectiva que ocorreram durante esse período.

UID/HIS/04666/2013 Dezasseis anos após a grande intervenção arqueológica na Praça da Figueira, surgem novos dados relativos ao universo funerário da Necrópole Noroeste de Olisipo. Tendo subjacente uma abordagem transdisciplinar, foram analisados os dados relativos aos trabalhos arqueológicos, escavados e estudados os restos ósseos humanos as estruturas funerárias e respetivo espólio material associado. O cruzamento destes dados com a informação obtida a partir dos registos estratigráfico e fotográfico, permitiu identificar padrões de inumação que se destacam e suscitam uma especial atenção. Pretende-se, desta forma, apresentar explicações passiveis de caracterizar estas inumações que, desde logo, se apresentam como fora da norma verificada naquele contexto. Sixteen years after the major archaeological intervention in Praça da Figueira, data on the funerary universe of the Olisipo Northwest Necropolis starts to emerge. Focussing on a transdisciplinary approach, the archaeological and anthropological records were analysed, the human skeletal remains were excavated in laboratory and the funerary structures and respective grave goods were studied. The results of these data with the information obtained from the stratigraphic and photographic records allowed the identification of some burial patterns which require a special attention. In this context, where the state is unable to serve the entire population, private organizations have taken part in this market, offering health plans and private assistance, which is called supplementary health. In this context, the themes studied are the psychological reactance that means the negative emotional reaction generated by the total or partial lack of freedom or the expectation of freedom of an individual who once got it and the health plan user???s satisfaction. User satisfaction and psychological reactance are topics exhaustively studied by the organizations, being one of the preferred themes in the study of consumer behavior, evidently being relevant because these studies allow the strategic analysis of the companies with more accurate data, resulting in greater profitability and success of these institutions. The study was conducted by means of a quantitative method, based on the satisfaction and psychological reactance of the users of the supplementary health system with the modeling of structural equations using the SmartPLS system, in order to test the hypotheses constructed based on the theories studied. The results obtained are in agreement with the theory of reactance and satisfaction, confirming the hypotheses proposed, there being a negative relation between both for the studied sample, the lower the reactance level observed, the higher the satisfaction level declared by the users. The conclusion of the study suggests as a contribution to the practice that managers approach the relationship between health plans and their users, creating programs to prevent diseases, combat sedentarism, chronic diseases and improve the quality of life of users, obtaining a participation collaborative of both. Provided most recommended type of therapy, chemotherapy is responsible for greatest impact on treatment cost. In this sense, this research proposes a method that helps management of chemotherapy schedule, improving issues related to logistics characteristics and time constraints so that treatment becomes more effective. From January 2012 to December 2013, data were collected relating production, costs of major inputs, loss of prepared medicines and chemotherapies relationship conducted with inpatients and outpatients, all related to proposed change in the management model of Oncology sector from a public hospital located at S??o Paulo state. As usual flow consisted of patient medical examination, with treatment prescribed by doctor, the new proposed protocol determined that the schedule no longer take place by the medical action, but by pharmacist, in the sense that he is professional manager, capable to accurately assess variables such as time, cost, competition for resources and optimization of infusion bags. As a result, the study showed increased number of outpatients and decrease number of inpatients, which generates cost savings. There was fourfold increase in total number of patients seen per year, with financial resources invested remaining stable. This study showed that new approaches to follow the flow model proposed here, would optimize resources, serving a larger number of patients, maintaining quality of processes, confidentiality of information, and saving costs and inputs. Furthermore, it was shown to be more effective multi scheduling, in which the physician says the protocol that will be used, the time will be used, and whether the patient is able to use, but with regard to the management of competing facilities as beds, interaction, armchair, chemotherapy or surgical room, a professional liability being with a logistics vision of the whole, in which case, a nurse or pharmacist A quimioterapia ainda ?? a principal forma de combate ao c??ncer e, consequentemente, a demanda por este tipo de tratamento acompanha o aumento da incid??ncia e preval??ncia da doen??a. Na condi????o de modalidade terap??utica mais preconizada, a quimioterapia ?? respons??vel pelo maior impacto no custo do tratamento. Nesse sentido, este trabalho prop??e um m??todo que auxilie a gest??o da agenda de tratamento quimioter??pico, melhorando quest??es relacionadas ??s caracter??sticas log??sticas e ??s limita????es de tempo para que o tratamento se torne mais efetivo. No per??odo de janeiro de 2012 a dezembro de 2013 foram coletados dados relacionados com a produ????o, custo dos insumos mais importantes, perdas de medicamentos preparados e rela????o de quimioterapias realizadas junto a pacientes internados e ambulatoriais, todos relacionados ?? mudan??a no modelo de gest??o do setor de Oncologia de um hospital p??blico do Estado de S??o Paulo. Enquanto o fluxo habitual consistia em o paciente passar em consulta m??dica, cabendo a este profissional a prescri????o do tratamento, o protocolo proposto neste estudo determinou que o agendamento n??o mais ocorreria pela a????o do m??dico, e sim do farmac??utico, pois este ?? gestor, profissional capaz de avaliar com precis??o vari??veis como tempo, custo, competi????o pelos recursos e otimiza????o da gest??o das bolsas de infus??o. Como resultados, o estudo demonstrou aumento do n??mero de pacientes ambulatoriais e diminui????o no n??mero de pacientes internados, o que gera redu????o de custos. Houve aumento de quatro vezes no total de pacientes atendidos por ano, com o valor investido mantendo-se est??vel. O presente estudo demonstrou que novas abordagens que sigam o modelo de fluxo aqui proposto otimizar??o os recursos, atendendo uma maior parcela de pacientes, mantendo a qualidade dos processos, o sigilo das informa????es, e poupando custos e insumos. Al??m disso, evidenciou-se como sendo mais eficaz o agendamento multiprofissional, no qual o m??dico diz o protocolo que vai ser utilizado, o tempo que vai ser utilizado, e se o paciente tem condi????es de utilizar, mas com o que se refere ao gerenciamento dos recursos concorrentes como leitos, intera????o, poltrona, quimioterapia ou sala cir??rgica, sendo de responsabilidade de um profissional com uma vis??o log??stica do todo, sendo, neste caso, um enfermeiro ou farmac??utico

AMA routine from 2005 to 2013 has been the target of discussions that leave its work proposal questionable, which leads to the need of study and understanding of its impact on demand and Health Care net. The aim of this research was to conduct an analysis of the distribution of demand for medical care provided in the AMA, UBS and PS in S??o Paulo; especially in Freguesia do ?? and Brasil??ndia Regional Administration of Health. This exploratory and descriptive study using the data from SIA ??? Datasus, medical records and medical reports about the distribution of demand through the number of medical consultations of AMA Services to analyze the profile of patients using the AMA and how they are inserted in the Health Care net. It was observed that from 2002 to 2013 there was a reduction of 30% of visits made by UBS (Basic Health Unit), increase and subsequent stabilization of medical care provided by the AMA and initial reduction (2005) and subsequent increase (2011) in the number of assistance in PS (emergency room). This was also observed in the STS Freguesia do ?? / Brasil??ndia. Were analyzed 156 medical records, it was notice that 91.7% of patients were treated at the AMA conform the objectives of this device. However, 81.4% of these patients require medical monitoring, and 22% are not accompanied. Considering the ordinance 1101 / MS 2011, 85% of patients had access to more than 2 visits / year in AMA and 71.2% of patients at 1 medical consultation / year at UBS. It was concluded that the AMA increased the supply of consultations in S??o Paulo and favored the patient's access to the health system. However, the poor articulation of health care net associated with lack of knowledge of the patients about the health devices affects the promotion and health monitoring. This study subsidied the analysis of health system in S??o Paulo city before and after Ama inclusion in the Health Care net and encourage new studies to be conducted on this topic. A AMA (Assist??ncia M??dica Ambulatorial) foi a estrat??gia criada pelo munic??pio de S??o Paulo para ampliar o acesso dos pacientes que necessitam de atendimento imediato. Em sua trajet??ria, de 2005 a 2013, a rotina da AMA ?? alvo de discuss??es que deixam sua proposta de trabalho question??vel, o que leva a necessidade de estudo e compreens??o sobre seu impacto na demanda e rede de aten????o. O objetivo principal dessa pesquisa foi o de realizar uma an??lise da distribui????o da demanda dos atendimentos m??dicos realizados na AMA, UBS e PS no munic??pio de S??o Paulo, em especial na Supervis??o T??cnica de Sa??de Freguesia do ?? e Brasil??ndia (STS F??/Bras). Por meio da pesquisa descritiva explorat??ria e utilizando os dados do SIA (Sistema de Informa????o Ambulatorial), fichas de atendimento e, relat??rios de servi??os e frequ??ncia, foi poss??vel analisar o perfil dos pacientes que utilizam a AMA e como estes est??o inseridos em rela????o ao acompanhamento pela rede de assist??ncia. Observou-se que de 2002 a 2013 houve redu????o de 30% dos atendimentos realizados pela UBS (unidade b??sica de sa??de), aumento e posterior estabiliza????o do n??mero de atendimentos m??dicos prestados pela AMA e, redu????o inicial (2005) e posterior aumento (ap??s 2011) no n??mero de atendimentos em PS (pronto-socorro). O mesmo foi observado na STS F??/Bras. Tamb??m foram analisadas 156 fichas de atendimento, onde p??de-se notar que 91,7% dos pacientes que foram atendidos na AMA correspondem aos objetivos deste equipamento. Por??m, 81,4% destes pacientes necessitam de acompanhamento externo, sendo que 22% n??o est??o acompanhados por nenhum estabelecimento de sa??de. Tecendo uma an??lise frente a portaria 1101/MS de 2011, 85% dos pacientes tiveram acesso a mais de 2 consultas/ano na AMA e 71,2% dos pacientes a 1 consulta/ano na UBS, caracterizando maior utiliza????o da AMA em rela????o a UBS. Concluiu-se que a AMA aumentou a oferta de consultas no munic??pio de S??o Paulo e favoreceu o acesso do paciente ao sistema. Por??m, a deficiente articula????o da rede de aten????o, associada a falta de conhecimento da popula????o sobre qual equipamento utilizar, pode comprometer significativamente a promo????o e acompanhamento de sa??de. Utiliza a perspectiva da pesquisa social qualitativa. Adota como técnica principal a entrevista semi-estruturada, que apresentou um roteiro previamente definido e objetivou identificar as diferentes concepções de violência dos supracitados trabalhadores, investigando como estes percebem a inserção do tema no contexto da saúde. Emprega, para a análise das entrevistas, as seguintes categorias analíticas: a percepção geral dos profissionais sobre a violência; a responsabilidade e atuação dos serviços de saúde diante da violência; a compreensão dos profissionais quanto à violência como um problema de saúde pública/coletiva; a visão de como os trabalhadores estão implicados e como reagem diante das situações que associam à violência. A partir da análise da fala dos sujeitos, discute a prática dos profissionais, as dificuldades para identificar a violência e atuar ante esse fenômeno e ainda as possibilidades de atuação visando contribuir para o enfrentamento da violência. Por fim, demonstra que os trabalhadores estão sensibilizados com a temática e acreditam que ela pode ser incorporada na prática cotidiana do trabalho em saúde. Entretanto, é interessante observar que a dificuldade na abordagem, a carência de habilidades e de instrumentais e a falta de apoio da gestão foram freqüentemente apontadas.
