Nighttime thermal infrared (NTIR) image colorization, also known as translation of NTIR images into daytime color images (NTIR2DC), is a promising research direction to facilitate nighttime scene perception for humans and intelligent systems under unfavorable conditions (e.g., complete darkness). However, previously developed methods have poor colorization performance for small sample classes. Moreover, reducing the high confidence noise in pseudo-labels and addressing the problem of image gradient disappearance during translation are still under-explored, and keeping edges from being distorted during translation is also challenging. To address the aforementioned issues, we propose a novel learning framework called Memory-guided cOllaboRative atteNtion Generative Adversarial Network (MornGAN), which is inspired by the analogical reasoning mechanisms of humans. Specifically, a memory-guided sample selection strategy and adaptive collaborative attention loss are devised to enhance the semantic preservation of small sample categories. In addition, we propose an online semantic distillation module to mine and refine the pseudo-labels of NTIR images. Further, conditional gradient repair loss is introduced for reducing edge distortion during translation. Extensive experiments on the NTIR2DC task show that the proposed MornGAN significantly outperforms other image-to-image translation methods in terms of semantic preservation and edge consistency, which helps improve the object detection accuracy remarkably., 16 pages, 13 figures

Calcium chloride is an important activator for spodumene flotation; however, its mechanism has been controversial. In this study, density functional theory (DFT) calculation was taken to investigate the adsorption of reagents from the atomic and electronic microscopic perspective, and the activation mechanism of calcium was discovered. Results show that the reaction of the O in the H2O with the Al on the mineral surface reduces the bonding strength between the collector and the Al sites, making spodumene recovery by flotation impossible in the absence of active ions. The Ca2+ can bond with two adjacent O atoms of the spodumene surface. However, the weak adsorption strength makes spodumene difficult to be activated effectively at neutral pH. The hydroxyl group in Ca(OH)+ and Ca(OH)2 strongly bonds with Al sites on the surface, significantly improving the adsorption strength of these components, and the adsorption strength of Ca(OH)2 is the highest. However, the Ca(OH)2 have a greater steric hindrance effect on the adsorption of the collector on the Al sites, resulting in the collector adsorbing on the Ca site of the spodumene surface in the bidentate adsorption form. Hence, Ca(OH)2 cannot effectively improve the flotation recovery effect of spodumene. After the Ca(OH)+ treatment, the O atoms of the collector bond with Ca and Al atoms on the surface, resulting in the great increase of collector adsorption strength. Thus, the species of Ca(OH)+ is the sole effective active component in spodumene flotation.

To evaluate the schistosomiasis control effect of the comprehensive measures that focused on beachland smoothing and tillage cultivation in Tieban Marshland, Wuhan Section of the Yangtze River.From 2011 to 2015, before and after the comprehensive control, theThe schistosome infection rates of residents in 2011 (before the comprehensive control), 2012 (after the comprehensive control), and 2013 were 0.72% (3/414), 0.37% (2/536) and 0.31% (1/326), respectively, and no schistosomiasis patients were found in 2014 and 2015. The snail area, the occurrence rate of frames with snails, and the average density of living snails in Tieban Marshland in 2005 decreased by 22.18%, 97.83% and 98.25%, respectively compared to those in 2011, and no schistosome infected snails were found. No positive mice were found in the sentinel mouse surveillance. The annual net income of Tieban Marshland increased by 233.33% compared to that before the comprehensive development.The endemic situation of schistosomiasis and snail situation declined significantly after the comprehensive development in Tieban Marshland, and the economic and social benefits are significant.

An experimental research on magnetic concentrate of a hematite using the anionic reverse flotation technology in the flotation column was conducted. Through systematic studies in the lab, the optimal technological and operational conditions had been obtained as follows: the circulation pressure of 0.055 MPa, the feeding quantity of 160 g/min, the collector dosage of 800 g/t and the starch dosage of 900 g/t. The results show that the iron concentrate with grade of 67.37% can be achieved according to the flow sheet of one roughing and one scavenging under the optimal conditions, and also reflects the advantages of excellent selectivity and high recovery. The application of cyclonic static micro-bubble flotation column in hematite reverse flotation provides a new approach for hematite reverse flotation in China.

This paper made deep studies on chlorite flotation using anionic/cationic collector, and the following effect factors such as pH,Ca 2+ ,Na 2 S,NaF,Na 2 SiF 6 and (NaPO 3 ) 6 are investigated. In the process of chlorite flotation using oleic acid as anionic collector, pH value increases. The concentration increase of Na 2 S and NaF can activate the chlorite flotation. However, Ca 2+ , Na 2 SiF 6 and (NaPO 3 ) 6 can depress the chlorite flotation. In the process of chlorite flotation using lauryl amine as cationic collector, the maximum recovery of chlorite flotation happened in neutral pH condition, and the concentration increase of Ca 2+ can activate the chlorite flotation; however, NaF and Na 2 SiF 6 can depress the chlorite flotation.

The special requirements for frother were raised because of the higher height, thickness foam layer and highly turbulent middling circulation circumstance of cyclonic-static microbubble flotation column (FCSMC). The characteristics of 730 series frother were studied for selecting suitable frother for copper sulfide ore separation by FCSMC. And copper sulfide ore flotation experiments were tested by laboratory FCSMC. The results indicate that the foaming ability of 730C is well which can form much more gasliquid interfaces at the same reagent dosages, 730E is the most stable frother. And frother 730C has satisfactory effect by laboratory FCSMC to separate copper sulfide ore, and the suitable gas hold-up is in the range of 22%-24%.

High-efficiency separation of hard-to-float high-ash fine coals has been a research hotspot in some countries, especially in China. Separation of hard-to-float high-ash fine coals by froth flotation, although considered to be the most effective, remains some challenges to be overcome. In this paper, the mineralogical/petrologic, physical and chemical characteristics of the of a hard-to-float high-ash fine coal collected in Kailuan mining area were studied. The floatability and liberation characteristics of this coal sample and potential separation processes were investigated experimentally. According to the coal characteristics, four separation processes were put forward and evaluated. Experimental results indicated that classified floatation couldn’t effectively improve the fine coal quality, while the processes of fine grinding-recleaning to roughing cleaning coal and selective agglomeration-floatation were suitable for the Kailuan coal. Compared with the original coal flotation process, the processes of fine grinding-recleaning to roughing cleaning coal increased the cumulative yield from 50.87% up to 55.53% while reduced the product ash content from 11.76% down to 10.74%. In the processes of selective agglomeration-floatation, the lowest ash of clean coal is 10.69%, with 58.72% yield, 7.85% higher in yield and 1.07% lower in ash content. The ash contents of the products from the two processes are lower than 11%, which meets the clean coal requirement.
