While analyzing particularities of linguistic-cultural comparisons it is necessary to pay attention to what objects and phenomena the most invoked are looking for comparison prototype in various languages. Languages compared may differ in what peculiarities are asso-ciated with the same comparing source. The paper also discusses peculiarities of comparisons, which are associated with concrete and abstract objects. Exemplifying and qualifying functions are analyzed as well. A conclusion is drawn that specifying peculiarities of concrete objects in the worldviews of the compared lan-guages such prototypes, which are well known for the language users and... [to full text]
