This study contains the solutions for detouring after the flood in the Black Sea Region in Turkey back in the summer of 2021. Moreover, it proposes an emergency support facility location in the vicinity of the disaster area. However, the region's problem is lacking a detouring plan for transportation management in the case of road closures due to flood effects such as damaged bridges or landslides. Since the region is prone to heavy precipitations and the terrain is appropriate for possible floods and landslides, the region's transportation management during or after a disaster is vital. In this manner, Dynamic Programming (DP) is utilized for arranging the detours for the transportation road network in the area of disaster. Furthermore, Stochastic Based Optimization (SBO) techniques are powerful in solving network optimization problems. Hence, location analysis via Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) is conducted for siting an emergency support facility according to the spatial characteristics of the road network. Results indicate that although detouring lengthens the transportation paths between origins and destinations, disasters such as floods can obligate such interventions. Moreover, the deterioration of a network link plays a critical role because it changes the spatial topology. The Russia-Ukraine war, its reasons and impact have been discussed by diplomats, politicians and intellectuals worldwide. While many accuse the Russian leadership and in particular Russian President Vladimir Putin for the war, some others criticize Western countries and principally the US for NATO’s eastward expansion and for disregarding Russia’s security concerns. Chinese intellectuals with diverse academic and political backgrounds have also contributed to these discussions and offered their assessments about the war in Ukraine as well as what kind of a policy China should follow. However, because of the sensitive relationship between the authoritarian party-state and Chinese intellectuals, Chinese intellectuals are in a delicate situation compared to intellectuals in the West. Despite this, the Chinese state’s relatively balanced and neutral stance and decision of not openly taking sides in the war provided a ground for Chinese intellectuals to publicly share their thoughts about both the war itself and China’s position towards Russia’s aggression. Nevertheless, due to its close relationship with Moscow, the Chinese state allows only a restricted space for intellectuals to share their views about the war, especially to anti-Russia voices. This study surveys these debates among Chinese intellectuals about the war in Ukraine as well as the policies that the Chinese leadership should follow., Rusya-Ukrayna savaşı, savaşın nedenleri ve etkileri dünyanın dört bir yanındaki diplomatlar, politikacılar ve aydınlar tarafından tartışılmaktadır. Bu çalışma, antrenman ve egzersiz konusunda yayınlanmış bilimsel makaleleri bibliyometrik yöntemlerle incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. 1980-2021 yılları arasında yayınlanan antrenman ve egzersiz makaleleri Web of Science'dan (WoS) indirilmiştir. Objective: Although the number of global studies on swimming has increased, there are still no bibliometric studies in the literature. This study aimed to present a medical perspective by examining scientific articles published in the field of swimming sports with statistical methods.Material and Method: Articles on swimming published between 1980 and 2021 were obtained from the Web of Science database. Spearman's correlation coefficient was used for correlation analysis. Network visualization maps were used to identify trending topics.Results: A total of 21732 publications were found. 2392 (70.5%) of these publications were articles. The top 3 contributing countries to the literature were USA (462, 19.3%), UK (331, 10.4), and Australia (298, 12.1%). The top 2 most active institutions were Universidade Do Porto (n=93), and Australian Institute of Sport (n=82). The most active journals with the highest number of articles were International Journal of Sports Medicine (n=171), and Journal of Sports Sciences (n=150). According to the average number of citations per article, the top most influential journal was Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology (citation: 51.8).Conclusion: The most studied subjects related to medicine and health in swimming were blood lactate, heart rate, fatigue, shoulder, body composition, anthropometry, oxygen uptake, oxidative stress, disability, energy cost, electromyography, oxygen consumption, physiology, motivation, physical activity, aging, muscle strength, shoulder pain, testosterone, core temperature, and stress. Günümüzde yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarından olan güneş enerjisinden fotovoltaik (PV) paneller kullanılarak elektrik üretimi amaçlı uygulamalar mevcuttur. Yapılarda, marjinal arazilerde veya gölgeleme elemanlarında bu tür kullanımlar görülmektedir. Ancak PV panellerin yapılar üzerine ek yük getirmesi ve strüktür ihtiyacı yaratması nedeniyle PV panellerin kullanımları zorlaşabilmektedir. Bu nedenle PV panelleri karayollarında kullanmak yapılardaki ek yükleri azaltabilir. PV panellerin yollarda kullanılması hem yolların aydınlatma gibi çeşitli ihtiyaçlarının azaltılması hem de üretilen fazla elektriğin şebekeye verilerek yenilenebilir enerji kullanım alanlarının arttırılması hedeflenebilir. Ancak, yollardaki trafik akışının ve yol eğiminin enerji üretimine etkisi büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, karayolları üzerinde PV panel kurulumu sonrası yollardaki trafik akışı ve yolların eğimi göz önüne alınarak elektrik üretimini değerlendirmek ve hangi çeşit yollardan enerji üretimi daha fazla olabileceğini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Çalışmanın bir diğer amacı, trafik akışının enerji üretimine etkisini betimleyen bir parametre ileri sürerek yolların trafik akışına göre enerji üretimi potansiyelini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu hesaplamalar için Türkiye’nin en yoğun nüfuslu illerinden Antalya’daki hafta içi trafik akışı gözlemlenmiştir. Analizler sonucunda trafik akışının fazla olmasının PV panellerin enerji üretimine etkisi incelenmiş, Kuzey – Güney (K-G) ve Doğu – Batı (D-B) yönünde olan yolların birbirleri ile karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Trafik akışındaki düşük seviyeler ve yolların güneye doğru eğime sahip olması yoldaki elektrik üretimini olumlu etkilemektedir. Trafik akışı gibi bir ulaşım parametresinin enerji üretimine etkisinin incelenmesinden elde edilen sonuçlar, Antalya’da uygulanabilecek altı bölgedeki yolun elektrik üretim potansiyelini açığa çıkarmıştır. Bulgulara doğrultusunda, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Bulvarı’nın elektrik üretim potansiyeli diğer ölçüm bölgelerine göre daha fazladır., Today there are applications for electricity generation by using photovoltaic (PV) panels from solar energy which is one of the renewable energy sources. Such uses are seen in buildings, marginal lands or shelters. However, the use of PV panels can be difficult because PV panels impose additional load on the buildings and create a need for load bearing structure. For this reason, using PV panels on roads can reduce the additional loads on buildings. The use of PV panels on the roads can aim both to reduce the various needs of roads such as lighting and to increase the use of renewable energy by giving the excess electricity generated to the electric supply system. However, the effect of traffic flow and road slope on the energy production is of great importance. The aim of this study is to assess the electricity generation by considering the traffic flow and the slope of the roads after the installation of PV panels and to reveal which types of roads can be more productive. Another purpose of the study is to reveal the energy generation potential of the roads according to the traffic flow by putting forward a parameter that describes the effect of traffic flow on energy production. For these calculations, weekday traffic flow in Antalya, one of the most densely populated provinces of Turkey, has been observed. As a result of the analyzes, the effect of the high traffic flow on the energy production of PV panels was examined, and the roads in the North - South and East - West directions were compared with each other. Low levels of traffic flow and the slope of the roads towards the south positively affect the electricity generation on the road. The results obtained from the examination of the effect of a transportation parameter, such as traffic flow, on energy production revealed the electricity generation potential of six regions in Antalya. According to the main outputs, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Bulvarı has more potential for energy generation compated to the other surveying areas.

Bu çalışma, önceki benzer çalışmalardan üç ana yönden ayrılmaktadır. Birincisi, yöntem olarak diğerlerinden ayrılarak ülke çapında sadece tek bir lokasyondaki havalimanı tesisi değil kümeleme yöntemi uygulanarak bölgesel hizmet verebilecek en uygun tesisler tespit edilmiştir. İkincisi, önceki çalışmalarda İstanbul Havalimanı henüz hizmete girmediğinden dolayı değerlendirmeye alınmamışken, bu çalışmada optimizasyon hesaplarına dahil edilmiştir. Üçüncüsü, yeni durumun önceki çalışmalara nazaran daha güncel verilerle ve daha güncel bir optimizasyon yöntemi olan ağaç tohum algoritması kullanılarak optimum çözümler üretilmiştir. Trafik verileri, trafiğe dayalı ağırlık katsayıları ve ulaşım mesafelerinin elde edildiği konum verilerine dayanarak yapılan analizler sonucunda, toplam on altı havalimanı kendi bölgelerine, özellikle herhangi bir felaket sırasında veya sonrasındaki acil durumlarda, servis sağlayabilecek ideal havalimanları bu çalışmada ortaya çıkarılarak tavsiye edilmiştir. Bu araştırmanın önerileri doğrultusunda, herhangi bir acil durumda gerekli olan ve havayolu ile sağlanabilecek hizmetler sayesinde zaman ve gider kaybının azaltılması gibi amaçlar gözetilirken daha da önemlisi can kaybının en az düzeye indirilmesi konusunda ilerleme kaydedilmesi beklenmektedir. This study differs from previous similar studies in three main directions. Firstly, the location of the most suitable facilities that can provide regional service were determined by applying clustering method. Thus, not only one airport facility in a single location serving across the country was determined, which separates this research from the others. Secondly, in the previous studies, Istanbul Airport was not taken into account because it has not been put into service. Therefore, this study takes that particular airport into consideration. Thirdly, optimum solutions for such new situation were produced with more up-to-date data and using a modern optimization method, the tree seed algorithm. As a result of the analyzes made based on traffic data, traffic-based weight coefficients and location data from which transportation distances were obtained, a total of sixteen ideal airports were recommended that can provide service to their regions, especially during emergencies or after any disaster. In accordance with the suggestions of this research, it is expected that progress will be made in minimizing the loss of time and expense, and especially minimizing the loss of life thanks to the services which can be provided by air transportation in any emergency. Uluslararası Akademik Araştırmalar Kongresi (3. : 2020) Nüfus artışı ile birlikte günlük yaşantımızda, özellikle trafik sistemlerinde, servis sistemlerinin yetersizliği doğrultusunda bekleme sorunları ile sık sık karşılaşılmaktadır. Bu sorunların önüne geçmek için trafik sistemleri, hizmet maliyetlerini düşürmeyi, hizmet niteliğini artırmayı ve yol kullanıcılarının bekleme zamanını düşürmeyi amaçlamalıdır. Araştırmamızda Antalya’da bulunan bir alışveriş merkezi otopark girişi gözlemlenmiştir. Kuyruk Teorisi modellerinden en uygun olanı eldeki vaka çalışması için incelenip seçilmiştir. Yapılan çalışmada, bekleme ve hizmet sürelerinde gözlemlenen problemler tespit edilmiştir. Toplanan veriler akademik amaca uygun olarak kaydedilmiştir. With the increase of population, problems of waiting on the queue are frequently encountered in our daily life, especially in traffıc systems, with the insufficiency of service systems. To prevent these problems, traffıc systems should aim to reduce service costs, improve service quality and reduce the waiting time of road users. İn our research, a shopping mall parking lot entrance in Antalya was observed. The most suitable queuing theory models were examined and selected for the case study. Accordingly, the problems observed during the waiting and service periods were determined. The data collected were recorded for academic purposes. As a consequence of the analysis, it is aimed to create a queuing system that Will minimize waiting time and provide faster service. İn our research, D/D/I queuing regime was proposed and the problem was solved not only with graphical analysis and also mathematical equations. International Congress on Academic Research (3. : 2020 : Berlin, Germany) Traffic is defined as the state and movement of pedestrians, animals, goods and vehicles. Traffic cannot be defined as a system of roads in which only flow is directed, because traffic must be harmonized. One of the ways to do this is traffic calming implementation which are applications designed to calm traffic and decrease crash rates. The main goal is to reduce speed of vehicles, increase pedestrian and cyclist safety, decrease noise of traffic, provide a smooth traffic flow. In this study, the data was collected from an official website presenting traffic volumes of highways. Accordingly, considering trade-offs and location audit, the most convenient site was chosen in Korkuteli-Tefenni road district with the help of traffic calming devices and their utility attributes. Then, the most appropriate horizontal traffic calming as center blisters or slow points (chicanes) that effectively calm traffic was applied. According to our analysis, the results basically show that slow points are more operative and advantageous than center blisters for the particular location selected. Our study also proved that, compared to the literature, because while center blisters remain ineffective on the traffic volume, slow points can reduce the average traffic volume up to a certain degree. Amaç: Karaciğer fibrozis tanı ve skorunun belirlenmesi için birçok noninvaziv test çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, kronik hepatit B (KHB) olan hastalarda platelet parametrelerinin ve karaciğer fibrozisin evresi arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırmayı amaçladık. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya toplam 140 biyopsi ile kanıtlanmış naiv KHB olgusu dahiledildi. HBV-DNA düzeyi, karaciğer enzimleri ve fonksiyon testleri, beyaz kan hücresi sayısı, platelet parametreleri, hemoglobin, histolojik aktivite indeksi (HAI) ve diğer rutin biyokimyasal parametreler test edildi. Karaciğer biyopsi örnekleri modifiye Ishak skorlama sistemi kullanılarak incelendi. Hastalar karaciğer fibrosis şiddetine göre modifiye İshak puanlama sistemi ile F0-2 ve F3-6 olarak iki gruba ayrıldı.Bulgular: F0-2 ve F3-6 grupları arasında platelet (PLT), ortalama platelet hacmi (MPV), platelet dağılım genişliği (PDW) ve platelecrit (PCT) açısından anlamlı fark yoktu. Bu iki grup arasında HAİ, aspartat transaminaz (AST), gama glutamil transaminaz (GGT), yaş ve lenfosit parametreleri açısından anlamlı fark vardı. Karaciğer fibrozis evresini tahmin etmede kullanılmak üzere birçok farklı kombinasyondan oluşan (AST x Yaş x Lenfosit) /√PLT) formülasyonu araştırıldı. In this study, we aimed to research the correlation of platelet parameters and stage of liver fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB).Materials and Methods: A total of 140 biopsy-proven naive CHB cases were included in the study. HBV-DNA level, liver enzymes and function tests, white blood cell count, platelet parametres, hemoglobin, histological activity index (HAI) and other routine biochemical parameters were tested. Patients were divided into two groups as F0-2 and F3-6 with Ishak scoring system according to the severity of liver fibrosis.Results: There was no significant difference between the groups F0-2 and F3-6 in terms of, platelet (PLT), mean platelet volume (MPV), platelet distribution width (PDW) and plateletcrit (PCT). There was a significant difference between these two groups for HAI, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), gamma glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT), age and lymphocyte (LYM) parameters. The formulation of (AST x Age x LYM) / √PLT)which was formed from many different combinations, was investigated in order to be used in predicting the liver fibrosis stage. Conclusion: Although our new index is more sensitivitythan other noninvasive scoring systems, it is needed to have a larger sample size in patients with severe stage liver fibrosis in order to be used safely as a noninvasive marker.

Tourism revenues and foreign debts are among the important variables that bring source funding in foreign currency for the economies of the countries. The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between tourism revenues and foreign borrowing for the Turkish economy. For this purpose, the analysis was carried out between 2003Q1 and 2021Q1 using the Johansen-Juselius (1990) cointegration method and the error correction model. According to the findings, there is one cointegration relationship between the related series and the error correction mechanism works. In addition, in the analysis, it was found that the direction of the relationship was from tourism revenues to foreign borrowing and it was determined that 1% increase in tourism revenues in the long term caused a 0.262% decrease in foreign debts in the related period. The research is very important for the Turkish economy within the framework of the subject discussed in terms of gaining the literature., Ülke ekonomileri için turizm gelirleri ve dış borçlar, döviz cinsinden fon kaynağı yaratan önemli değişkenler arasında yer almaktadır. Bu hususta çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye ekonomisi için turizm gelirleri ile dış borçlanma arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla 2003Q1 ve 2021Q1 dönemi arasında Johansen-Juselius (1990) Eşbütünleşme yöntemi ile Granger Nedensellik yöntemi kullanılarak analiz gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre ilgili seriler arasında bir tane eşbütünleşme ilişkisi bulunmakta ve hata düzeltme mekanizması çalışmaktadır. Ayrıca analizde ilişkinin yönünün turizm gelirlerinden, dış borçlanmaya doğru olduğu bulunmuş ve uzun dönemde turizm gelirlerinde meydana gelen %1’lik artışın, ilgili dönemde dış borçlarda %0.262 oranında bir azalmaya sebep olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan araştırma Türkiye ekonomisi için literatüre kazanımı açısından ele alınan konu çerçevesinde oldukça önem arz etmektedir.

Tüm dünyayı etkisi altına alan COVID-19 pandemisi günlük yaşamı tüm yönleriyle etkilemiştir. Beklenmedik iş kayıpları,izolasyon, COVID-19 enfeksiyonlarının yol açtığı hastalık ve ölümlerin artışı yaşamlarımızı oldukça değiştirmiştir.COVID-19 pandemisi dünya çapında bir sağlık sorunu olmasının yanında, İBH olan hastalarının takip ve tedavilerini deetkilemiştir.Biz bu çalışmamızda COVID-19 pandemi döneminde İBH hastalarında yaşam kalitesi, hastalık aktivitesi ve anksiyetedüzeylerini değerlendirerek, hastalığın takip ve tedavisine yön verilebilmeyi ve hasta-hekim ilişkisine yeni bir boyutkazandırabilmeyi amaçladık.Çalışmamıza Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Gastroenteroloji polikliniğine ayaktan başvuran 62 İBH’li hasta ve 60 sağlıklıkontrol grubu dahil edildi.Hastaların ve sağlıklı kontrol grubunun anksiyete düzeyleri ve yaşam kaliteleri karşılaştırıldı.Aynı zamanda anksiyete düzeyleri ve yaşam kalitesi demografik veriler ve hastalık aktivasyonu ile karşılaştırıldı. Buna ekolarak İBH hastalarına COVID19- pandemi sürecindeki tutum ve davranışlarını değerlendirmek için anket yapıldı.Sonuçlar değerlendirildiğinde; İBH hastalarının yaşam kaliteleri daha kötü ve anksiyete düzeyleri daha yüksek bulundu.Aktif hastalığı olanların yaşam kalitesi daha kötü, anksiyete düzeyi daha yüksek bulundu.COVID-19 pandemisininhastalığı için risk oluşturduğunu düşünenler ve düşünmeyenlerin yaşam kaliteleri ve anksiyete düzeyleri benzer tespitedildi.Ancak hastaların çoğunun pandemi ve kullandığı tedaviler yüzünden risk altında olduğunu düşündüğü, insanlarlailetişime geçmekte zorlandığı ve yolculuk yapmaktan kaçındığı görüldü.Hastaların hemen hemen hepsi maske, mesafeve hijyen kurallarına dikkat etmekteydi.Sonuç olarak, COVID-19 pandemi sürecinde İBH ile takipli hastaların normal popülasyona göre yaşam kaliteleri düşük,anksiyete seviyeleri yüksek bulunmuştur.Bu süreçte hasta-hekim ilişkisine daha çok dikkat edilmeli, iletişim gerekirseteletıp uygulamaları ile gerçekleştirilmeli, hastalara daha çok bilgi verilmeli ve böylece yaşam kaliteleri arttırılmalı,hastane maliyetleri en aza indirilmelidir. COVID-19 pandemic has significantly changed our lives through various ways including social isolation,emotional andphysical distress caused by COVID-19 related hospitalizations and deaths, and increased unemployment rates.Eventhough the COVID-19 pandemic became a worldwide health problem affecting millions,patient’s with IBD constituteda special patient population which has been particularly impacted by the poor outcomes of the unprecedentedsituation.In this study,we assess the quality of life,anxiety levels and disease flare-ups in patients with IBD duringCovid-19 pandemic aiming to guide/assist the management of the patients and bring a new perspective into thephysician-patient rapport.The study includes the patient group with 62 IBD patients who visited Gazi University Schoolof Medicine Gastroenterology outpatient clinic and the control group with 60 healthy individuals.The quality of life andanxiety levels of the individuals in the patient group vs control group were compared.The study demonstrated higher anxiety levels and lower quality of life in patients with IBD compared to the control group.Higher anxiety level andlower quality of life was also found in patients with active disease as compared to others.However, most of the patientswere concerned about being at increased risk due to their underlying health condition and current treatment.In orderto address the patients’ mental health and the quality of life, physician-patient relationship must be maintained strongand satisfying in these difficult times through telemedicine visits and frequent follow ups which would eventually helplowering the cost of hospitalizations as well.

This study has been carried out with "Freeze Drying" topic, and even, freeze drying technology (FD), which has seen as a healthy drying model that increases the shelf life of the products and preserves the aroma values it contains. The product which we have dried is rose hip, which is utilizing for cooking jam in winter, even brew tea, that have high nutritional values and have countless merits for human health. We started the study with the experiment of drying the rose hips, which were cut into 5 mm slices and removed from the seeds, by keeping them in the refrigerator. By recording the experiments of the rose hips, which were placed in our drying device in 7 samples of 100 grams, one by one; The weights of the 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 hour experiments were measured, and a kinetic model was created. Moreover, the moisture ratio (MR) was calculated. A total of 8 different kinetic drying models were studied by using the MATLAB program in the presence of experimental data, and according to the results of the experiment, X2: 2,156×10-4 , RMSE: 0.011874 value was regulated. It has been observed that the closest value of R2 to1 is R2 with the amount of R2 =0.9985. According to the results of the experiment, it was determined as the DIFFUSION APPROACH model that gave the best results among eight models. Besides, we found the effective diffusivity value, which was 1,99828×10-10 m2/s for the mentioned Rose hip slices. It was confirmed that the calculated effective diffusivity value was within the reference range mentioned in the literature (10-12 – 10-8 m2/s) for food products.

Mathematical models have been used for many decades in order to improve the infrastructure design of transportation facilities. In this study, locational best fit airport infrastructure is determined for providing an urgent assistance in case of an emergency requirement throughout the country. The data are supplied from civil airports in Turkey. In order to solve the problem, the mathematical models such as Weber Problem solution methodology is applied for assessing the results. Moreover, the limitations such as distance costs and also the weights of the regional airports such as the passenger counts and the approximate physical size of the airport field are taken into account. Optimizing the circumstance, the economic losses are aimed to be lower, and thus the financial improvement is targeted by the application of the mathematical model and the implementation of its results. ARUD 5th Congress of the Balkan-States-Anesthesia-Days -- MAY 09-12, 2018 -- Gaziantep, TURKEY Aim: Children's perception of pain may vary depending on defenselessness, negative and exaggerated behavior, level of persuasion, personality characteristics, and previously experienced negative experiences. This study was designed to investigate the relationship between anxiety and postoperative pain perception of children and the family's anxiety about the child's pain and negative attitudes on the effects of the pain. Material and Methods: Thirty-five patients undergoing appendectomy between August-December 2017 were included in this prospective study. Seven patients were excluded because of incongruity. Face, leg, activity, cry, consolidation (FLACC), preoperative anxiety scale of Yale, and Post-Anesthetic Delirium scale were applied. In the postoperative period, parents and children were asked to complete a pain questionnaire. Results: It is found that, as family education level increased, the anxiety of both children and parents decreased. The parents were found to have fewer levels of rumination as the level of education increased when the effect of postoperative analgesia selection on the visual analog pain scale (VPS) was investigated, there was a statistically significant difference between pain VPS scores only after surgery. It was found that mothers were more anxious than fathers. A moderately positive correlation was found between the VPS score and the child and parental rumination scale scores. It was seen that the education level of the family had a positive effect on the pain perception of the child. Discussion: The results of the surgical experience in the long-term memory revealed that the children had a comfortable postoperative period and that they did not think much about the operation, but that they would be afraid to undergo surgery again. Menopause is the permanent cessation of ovarian follicular activity and the menstrual cycle. There is little physiologic and histologic data concerning the possible effects of menopause on respiratory tract and possible beneficial agents for respiratory tract against the effects of menopause. The rat lungs and trachea have been obtainedfrom young and old rats which were treated with either vitamin D (VitD; 1000IU/kg/week),Fish oil (FO; 0.8 mL/kg/week) or exercise (running 45 minutes/3 times/week) for 12 weeks after one week overiectomy (OVX) followup. Oxidative stress markers found increased at OVX and OVX+E groups. However, oxidative stress marker levels were lower at OVX+E group than OVX group. Vitamin D and fish oil also caused decreased oxidative stress at lung tissue compared to OVX group. OVX group had histological changes such as epithelial desquamation, peribronchial smooth muscle hypertrophy, peribronchial lymphoid follicles, Type 2 pneumocyte hyperplasia; however, none of them was found at exercise group. Ovariectomy caused respiratory system effects in rats. Menopause cause oxidative stress; however, exercise, vitamin D and fish oil have protective effects against oxidative stress at lungs at different quantities. Ovariectomy group has the greatest damage compared to other groups. Exercise is the best protective modality against the effects of menopause at respiratory system. Amaç: Çölyak hastalığında kalsiyum ve D vitamini eksikliğine bağlı metabolik kemik hastalığı en sık ekstraintestinal semptomlardan biridir. Bu çalışmada, çölyak hastalığı olan çocuklarda tanı esnasında kemik mineral yoğunluğunun değerlendirilmesi ve kemik mineral metabolizmasıyla ilişkili faktörlerin değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmaya hastanemiz çocuk gastroenteroloji bölümünde Aralık 2015-Aralık 2019 tarihleri arasında çölyak hastalığı tanısı alan 43 çocuk hasta alındı. Retrospektif olarak hastaların klinik, antropometrik, patolojik ve laboratuar özellikleri [kalsiyum, fosfor, alkalenfosfataz (ALP), parathormon (PTH), 25-OH vitamin D düzeyleri] incelendi. Tanıda Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) yöntemi ile ölçülmüş olan lumbal (L1-L4) kemik mineral yoğunluğu düzeyleri değerlendirilerek kronolojik yaşa ve boy yaşına göre Z-skorları hesaplandı. Bulgular: Ortalama yaşları 9,9±4,8 (2,5-17,7) yıl olan 43 hastanın (34 kız/9 erkek) verileri değerlendirildi. %30,2’si (n=13) 0-6 yaş, %30,2’si (n=13) 7-11 yaş aralığında ve % 39,5’i (n=17) 11 yaş üzerindeydi. Yaşa göre KMY Z-skoru -0,83±1,1 (-3,6- 1,6), boy yaşına göre KMY Z-skoru -0,18±1,1 (-3,6-1,8) saptandı. Hastaların %51,2’sinde (n=22) yaşa göre KMY Z-skoru>-1, %34,9’unda (n=15) -1 ve -2 arasında ve %14’ünde (n=6) 0,050). Sonuç: Çölyak hastalarında tanı yaşının gecikmesi kemik mineral yoğunluğunu olumsuz etkilemektedir. Çin düşünce dünyasında bir bütün olarak Mao Zedong sonrası dönemde, özellikle de 1989 Tiananmen olaylarını izleyen 1990’lı yıllarda bir Rönesans yaşanmıştır. Bu dönemde bir yandan liberalizm, eleştirel sosyalizm, Yeni Konfüçyüsçülük ve milliyetçilik gibi yeni düşünce akımları ortaya çıkar ve bunlar Çinli aydınlar arasında hızla yayılırken, bir yandan da devlet ve Çin Komünist Partisi (ÇKP) ile Çinli aydınlar arasındaki ilişki büyük bir dönüşüme uğramıştır. Bu süreçte ÇKP’nin bilgi üretimi üzerinde Maocu dönemde kurduğu egemenlik önemli ölçüde zayıflamıştır. During this period, new currents of thought such as liberalism, critical socialism, Neo-Confucianism and nationalism emerged and spread rapidly among Chinese intellectuals, while the relationship between the state and the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Chinese intellectuals underwent a major transformation. In this process, the CPC’s Maoist era dominance over the production of knowledge has significantly weakened. Today, although the state and the Party have not completely lost their ability to control knowledge production and the intelligentsia, they must be content with steering them. In the academic literature, the People's Republic of China is mainly treated as an authoritarian single-party system. This leads to the ignorance of polyphony in Chinese domestic politics and intellectual knowledge production and creates the perception that the country is monodic in domestic political issues. However, since the 1990s, Chinese intellectuals have been in an intense debate about the country's economic, political and social issues. On the one hand, Chinese intellectuals, who are members of currents of thought that have different approaches to the world order and the Chinese administrative system, are in a struggle with other intellectuals to control knowledge production and influence the decision-making mechanisms of the state. On the other hand, each group of intellectuals also have diversity of views and are engaged in a debate. This study discusses the liveliness of Chinese intellectual production by analyzing the discussions among the Chinese intellectuals from three different currents of thought, namely liberalism, critical socialism and New Confucianism, on the legitimacy of the current system and the concept of democracy. In this way, by addressing the concepts of democracy and legitimacy that the Chinese intelligentsia has developed by taking advantage of the three thousand years of intellectual world and management experience of their countries, the study aims to reveal the country’s lively political and intellectual debate environment. In other words, the study reveals that in today's China, instead of submitting to the single-party system, the intellectual class fervently discusses this system with its positive and negative aspects, by, from time to time, developing ideas that even oppose the regime itself. However, the ideas that stand out in the discussions can only be influential to the extent permitted by the Communist Party of China and are used by it to ensure the legitimacy of both the regime and the policies pursued. In other words, even though Chinese intellectuals contribute to knowledge production by mooting different ideas, the impact of these ideas on policy-making processes is determined by the CPC.

In this study Arduino card based mobile robot design was realized. This robot can serve as a security robot, an auxiliary robot or a control robot. The designed robot has two operation modes. The first operating mode is autonomous mode. In this mode, the robot detects the surroundings with the help of ultrasonic sensors placed around it, and keeps track of the places it passes by using the encoder. It is able to navigate without hitting any place and passing from where it passes, and it transmits the patient's pulse and temperature condition to the user by other systems installed on it. Also the IP camera sends the scene on the screen. The emergency button to be placed next to the patient sends information to the user in emergency situations. If the abnormality is detected in the temperature and pulse again, the user gives a message. When the pre-recorded drug use times come, the system can alert the patient. The second mode is manual mode. In this mode, the user can move the desired direction of the robot with the Android operating system. In addition, all data received in autonomous mode can be sent to the user. BackgroundRight ventricular pseudoaneurysm is an extremely rare finding than left ventricular pseudoaneurysm, associated with high mortality. The diagnosis of right ventricle pseudoaneurysm is often challenging because of its rarity and lack of typical clinical features. However, advanced cardiac imaging techniques including CT angiogram and MRI can help a timely diagnosis to avoid a fatal outcome.Case presentationThe authors present the imaging findings of a right ventricular pseudoaneurysm in a 33-year-old male, presented with dyspnea and chest pain after exertion for 2weeks. The gated CT and cardiac MRI showed a small outpouching from the right ventricle apex into the pericardial space, consistent with a pseudoaneurysm. He underwent cardiac surgery and pseudoaneurysm resection with a favorable outcome.ConclusionRight ventricular pseudoaneurysm is a very rare complication following right heart catheterization and a potentially life-threatening condition that requires prompt diagnosis and management. Though the lack of its typical clinical presentation is often a diagnostic challenge, advanced cardiac imaging techniques including CT angiogram and MRI may help a timely diagnosis to avoid a fatal outcome.

Using mathematical models in many academic research, it was demonstrated that numerous infrastructural problems can be solved, such as locating several facilities related to a specific industry. In this study, a facility location was determined by considering some parameters. A mathematical problem named Weber problem supported the decision of the process of allocating the factory. Additionally, limitations and weights were taken into account in order to solve the mathematical problem. Moreover, in accordance with the findings, a discussion between this study and the previous studies has been made. Background and Aim: There is little histologic data concerning effects of nasal decongestants on respiratory tract. We aimed to put forth the effects of mostly used ingredients of nasal decongestants on trachea and lower airways of rats. Materials and Method: Four-six months old 60 male rats were randomly categorized into 6 groups. Experimental drugs were applied to the same nostril twice daily for 8 weeks (Xylometazoline, Benzalkolyum, EDTA, Sorbitol and combined drug solution). Normal saline solution (NaCl % 0.9) applied for the controls. At the end, trachea and both lungs were dissected and kept in formaldehyde for histopathologic evaluation. Results: Inflammation and bronchial edema were most common findings. All rats in sorbitol group had increased numbers of type 2 pneumocytes. Eighty percent of BAC group had increased numbers of type 2 pneumocytes. Spillover of tracheal epithelium was seen mostly in sorbitol, EDTA and combined drug groups (60%, 87.5%, 50% respectively). Bronchial smooth muscle hypertrophy was seen mostly in BAC and EDTA group (70%, 62.5% respectively). Number of goblet cells showed significant difference between control-combined drug (p=0.025) and control-BAC (p=0.001) groups. Conclusion: Nasal decongestants might have adverse effects such as increased airway inflammation, edema, type 2 pneumocyte numbers and epithelial desquamation mostly. WOS:000455062500024

Traffic density is one of the most important parameters to consider in road construction. The presence of different components in road construction makes it essential to know the individual layer and inter-layer behaviors. One of the physical factors that plays a major role in these layers is their displacement, which varies depending on the type and engineering properties of these layers. Road damaging is inevitable as different deformations also trigger mismatching. Due to incompatibilities between layers, the number and content of repairs are also high than they should be, which increase maintenance costs. Therefore, it is important to conduct experimental and theoretical studies on this subject. Although the effect of traffic density on a single layer has been studied, there are not many studies investigating the co-movement of different layers. Amaç: Kovaryans analizi (ANCOVA), bir çalışmada etkisi incelenen faktör dışında bağımlı değişken ile ilişkisi bulunan sürekli bir veya birden fazla değişkenin etkisinin istatistiksel olarak kontrol edilmesini sağlayan bir yöntemdir. Bu çalışmada randomize olan araştırmalarda ortak değişken ile sonuç değişkeni arasında korelasyon bulunan modellerde ortak değişkenin etkisinin göz ardı edildiği varyans analizi (ANOVA) ile ortak değişken etkisinin arıtıldığı ANCOVA’nın korelasyon düzeyine bağlı olarak gücünün değişimi karşılaştırılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırmamızda Cohen’in küçük, orta ve büyük f etki büyüklüklerine bağlı 3 farklı senaryo kullanılarak n=30, 50 ve 100 örneklem büyüklükleri için benzetim çalışması yapılmıştır. Her bir benzetimde bağımlı değişken ile ortak değişken arasında 0’dan 1’e kadar 0,1 birimlik artış ile 11 farklı korelasyon bulunacak şekilde veri seti üretilerek her senaryoda 5000 benzetim yapılmıştır. Benzetim uygulamaları için R paket programı kullanılmıştır. R paketinde veri üretmek için “MBESS” ve güç hesaplamaları için “pwr” açık kaynak kodlu kütüphaneler kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Küçük ve orta etki büyüklüklerine sahip benzetim sonuçlarında sonuç değişkeni ile ortak değişken arasında 0,20 korelasyon bulunduğunda ANOVA ile ANCOVA arasındaki güç değerinin ayrışmaya başladığı ve korelasyon değeri 0,50 ve sonrasında ANCOVA’nın ANOVA’ya göre çok daha fazla güce ulaştığı görülmüştür. Sonuç: Ortak değişken ile sonuç değişkeni arasında 0,2 ve üzeri korelasyon bulunduğunda ANOVA yerine ANCOVA kullanılarak daha az sayıda örneklem büyüklüğü ile araştırmada yeterli güce ulaşılacaktır. Objective: Covariance analysis (ANCOVA) is a statistical procedure that enables one to compare groups on some quantitative dependent variable while simultaneously controlling for the effects of selected other continuous variables, which co-vary with the dependent. The control variables are called the “covariates”. In this study, we aimed to compare the statistical power of variance analysis (ANOVA), in which covariate was omitted, and ANCOVA for different values of the correlation r between the covariate and the dependent variable in randomized studies. Material and Methods: In our study, a simulation was conducted for n = 30, 50 and 100 sample sizes by using 3 different scenarios of Cohen’s small, medium and large f effect sizes. In each simulation, a data set was generated with 11 different correlations from 0 to 1 with an increase of 0.1 units between the dependent variable and the covariate, and 5000 simulations were made in each scenario. R package was used for simulation applications. The “MBESS” open source library was used to generate data and the “pwr” library was used for power analysis in the R package. Results: The results of simulation for small and medium effect sizes, showed that statistical power for ANOVA and ANCOVA started to decompose when the covariate-dependent variable correlation was higher than 0.2. ANCOVA reached much more statistical power than ANOVA when covariate-dependent variable correlation was higher than 0.5. Conclusion: The use of ANCOVA instead of ANOVA may considerably reduce the number of patients required when the covariate-dependent variable correlation was higher than 0.2.

Amaç: Bu araştırmada, tanı doğruluğu çalışmalarının raporlama kalitesini iyileştirmek ve bir standart oluşturmak amacıyla 2003 yılında yayınlanan ve uluslararası birçok yayıncı tarafından makale yüklerken doldurulması zorunlu hale getirilen 25 maddelik STARD (the standards for the reporting of diagnostic accuracy studies) kriterlerinin 2015 yılında güncellenmiş 30 maddelik yeni versiyonunun Türkçeye uyarlanması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın, Türkçe yayınlanan tanı doğruluğu çalışmaları için standart oluşturulması yoluyla yayın kalitelerinin arttırılmasına katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: STARD 2015 kriterleri, üç yazar tarafından birbirlerinden bağımsız olarak Türkçeye çevrilmiş ve YY’nin liderliğinde her bir madde için görüş birliği sağlanarak son hali verilmiştir. Türkçeye uyarlanmış kontrol listesinin tekrar edilebilirlik düzeyini değerlendirmek amacı ile iki akademisyen hekim 15 tanı doğruluğu çalışmasının kalitelerini değerlendirmiştir. Değerlendiriciler arasındaki uyum için GWET AC1 istatistiği, Sınıf İçi Korelasyon Katsayısı (SKK) ve Bland-Altman yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: GWET AC1 istatistiğine göre 21 kriterin değerlendirme sonuçları arasında tam uyuşma olduğu, 8 kriterin 0,81-1,00 aralığında, 5 kriterin 0,61-0,80 aralığında olduğu gözlenmiştir. Hekimlerin makalelere vermiş oldukları toplam puanlar arasında SKK değeri 0,871 (%95 GA: 0,616-0,957) olarak bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Birçok uluslararası yayıncı tarafından makale yüklerken doldurulması zorunlu hale gelen STARD 2015 kılavuzunun ülkemizdeki dergilerde tanı doğruluğu ile ilgili çalışmalarda kalitenin arttırılması için zorunlu bir kılavuz haline gelmesi yakın gelecekte öngörülmektedir. Objective: This study aims to perform Turkish adaptation of the 30-item new version of the 25-item STARD criteria updated in 2015, which was originally published in 2003 and had to be filled in many international journals while submitting an article with a view to improving the quality of reporting in diagnosis accuracy studies and forming a standard. The study is believed to contribute to the improvements in publication quality of the Turkish publications by forming a standard for diagnosis accuracy. Material and Methods: STARD 2015 criteria were translated to Turkish by three authors separately, and a consensus was reached by giving the final version of each item with YY’s guidance. Two doctors who are academicians checked the quality of the 15 diagnosis accuracy draft with a view to evaluating its repeatability level. Agreement among the raters was checked using GWET AC1, Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) and Bland-Altman methods. Results: GWET AC1 statistics showed that there was a full match between the evaluation results of the 21 criteria. Eight criteria were between 0.81 and 1.00 and 5 criteria were between 0.61 and 0.80. ICC value was found to be 0.871 in the total scores given to the articles by the doctors. Conclusion: It is predicted that in the near future it will be obligatory to fill in the STARD 2015 guide, which became obligatory in many international journals while submitting an article, with a view to increasing the quality of the studies on diagnosis accuracy in the journals in our country.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyse the development of rhinoplasty studies between 1980 and 2017 through bibliometric analyses. Background: Rhinoplasty is one of the major operations in plastic surgery, it is popular, and the number of operations has been increasing every day. However, the literature has only one study which investigated the development of rhinoplasty. Therefore, the present study on rhinoplasty is believed to shed light to plastic surgery studies. Methods: Bibliometric analyses were performed by retrieving all the publications in Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics' WoS) database between 1980 and 2017 using the 'Rhinoplasty' keyword. Results: The number of publications found using the Rhinoplasty keyword was 2977. Of all these publications, 2261 (75.9%) were articles. The highest number of publications was in the year 2016 with 237 publications (10.5%). With 911 publications (40.3%), the USA was the most productive country. The top two active authors who produced most publications about rhinoplasty were Rohrich R.J. (64-2.8%) and Guyuron B. (45-1.2%). The journals which made the greatest contribution to the literature were Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with 426 publications (18.8%) and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery with 314 publications (13.9%). Conclusion: The number of studies on rhinoplasty has been increasing every day. Result of this first comprehensive bibliometric study showed that the USA was the most active country and it was followed by Turkey, which indicates the contribution of the developing countries to rhinoplasty. Amaç: Çalışmada düşük akım anestezi uygulamasında vücut ısısının daha iyi korunması nedeniyle intra-operatif kas gevşetici ihtiyacında bir artış olup olmayacağının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla çalışmada minimal, düşük ve orta akım hızlı anestezi uygulamalarının intra-operatif kas gevşetici tüketimine olan etkileri incelendi. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya ASA I-III, ortalama 90-120 dakika süreli genel anestezi altında elektif şartlarda opere olacak 18-75 yaş arası 120 hasta dahil edildi. Hastalar randomize olarak minimal akım (n=40, taze gaz akımı 0,5 L/dk), düşük akım (n=40, taze gaz akımı 1 L/dk) ve orta akım (n=40, taze gaz akımı 2 L/dk) olarak üç gruba ayrıldı. Nazofaringeal vücut sıcaklığı, kalp hızı, periferik oksijen satürasyonu, sistolik arteriyel basınç, diyastolik arteriyel basınç, ortalama arter basıncı ve indüksiyon sonrası; 1., 5., 10., 15., 30. ve sonrasında 30 dakikada bir; inspire edilen anestezik ajan fraksiyonu (FiSevo), ekspire edilen anestezik ajan fraksiyonu (FeSevo), inspire edilen oksijen fraksiyonu (FiO2 ), inspire edilen karbondioksit fraksiyonu (FiCO2 ), minimum alveolar konsantrasyon değerleri ve end-tidal karbondioksit değeri (EtCO2 ) indüksiyon sonrası 5., 10., 15., 30. ve sonrasında 30 dakikada bir kayıt edildi. Bulgular: Gruplar arasında entübasyona geçme süreleri (train of four: TOF 0) benzerdi (p=0,727). Minimal akım için 106,12±38,94, düşük akım için 110,87±38,04, orta akım için 104,45±34,80 saniyede geçilmiştir. Birinci ek doz uygulama zamanı (TOF 25) gruplar arasında benzerdi (p=0,476). İkinci ek doz uygulama zamanı (ikinci kez TOF 25) gruplar arasında benzerdi (p=0,317). Akım gruplarına göre 1. ve 2. ek doz kas gevşetici miktarları arasında anlamlı fark yoktu (sırasıyla; p=0,170, p=0,214). Sonuç: Minimal akım anestezisinin rokuronyum ile oluşturulan nöromüsküler blokajda kas gevşetici tüketimini arttırıcı etkisinin olduğu ancak bu etkinin sınırlı bir etki olduğu düşünülmektedir. Minimal akımlı anestezi, ameliyathane havasının temiz kalmasını sağlamakta, operasyon maliyetini azaltmakta ve solunum devresindeki nem ve sıcaklık değerlerini yükseltmektedir. İntra-operatif daha iyi fizyolojik solunum şartları sağlaması ve intra-operatif hipotermiyi azaltması nedeniyle teşvik edilmesi gereken bir anestezi yöntemidir. Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine whether there would be an increase in the need for intra-operative neuromuscular blocker consumption due to better preservation of body temperature in low flow anesthesia. In this study, the effects of minimal, low and medium flow anesthesia on intra-operative neuromuscular blocker consumption were investigated. Materials and Methods: The study involved 120 patients aged between 18 and 75 who would have an operation in elective conditions under general anesthesia for approximately 90 to 120 minutes ASA I-III. The patients were randomly divided into three groups as minimal flow (n=40), low flow (n=40), and medium flow (n=40). Nasopharyngeal body heat, heart rate, systolic arterial pressure, diastolic arterial pressure, mean arterial pressure, and peripheral oxygen saturation were recorded in the 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, and 30th minute after induction and in every 30 minute later; FiSevo, FeSevo, FiO2 , FCO2 , minimum alveolar concentration values and EtCO2 were recorded in the 5th, 10th, 15th, and 30th minute after induction and in every 30 minute later. Results: The time of intubation was similar between the groups (p=0.727: minimal flow=106.12±38.94, low flow=110.87±38.04, medium flow=104.45±34.80 seconds). The time of the first additional dose was similar between the groups (p=0.476). The time of the second additional dose was similar (p=0.317). No significant differences were found between the groups in terms of the 1st and 2nd additional dose neuromuscular blockers amount (p=0.170, p=0.214). Conclusion: Minimal flow anesthesia is considered to have an effect on the increase in the use of neuromuscular blockers formed by rocuronium, yet this effect is considered to be limited. Minimal flow anesthesia ensures that operating room air remains clean, reduces operating costs and increases humidity and temperature in the breathing circuit. It is an anesthetic method that should be encouraged because it provides better physiological respiratory conditions and reduces intraoperative hypothermia.

Amaç: Akut lösemi/lenfoma ve myeloid sarkom, hematopoietik prekürsör hücrelerden gelişen klonal neoplastik proliferasyonlardır. Bu çalışmada, olgularının epidemiyolojik analizlerinin yapılması, global sonuçlarla karşılaştırılarak değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Ege Üniversitesi Kanserle Savaş Araştırma ve Uygulama Merkezi veri tabanına kayıtlı, 1992-2017 yıllarında akut lösemi/lenfoma ve myeloid sarkom tanısı alan 2.046 erişkin olgu retrospektif olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Olguların %58’i erkek olup; ortalama tanı yaşı 50,62, medyan tanı yaşı ise 52 idi. En sık (%62,5) akut myeloid lösemi (AML) izlendi. Olguların %95,8’i lösemik prezentasyon göstermekteydi. Sınıflandırılamayan lenfoblastik lösemi (ALL) olguları yıllara göre azalırken, diğer gruplarda yıllara göre lösemi tanısında artış dikkatimizi çekti. Çocukluk yaş grubunda daha sık karşımıza çıkan ALL olgularında yaş arttıkça görülme oranlarının azaldığı, hücre dizisi belirsiz akut lösemi olgularında ise yaş arttıkça görülme oranlarının da arttığı saptandı. AML ve tüm lösemi olguları ise en çok 40-64 yaş aralığında yer almaktaydı. Akut lösemi olgularında 1, 5, 10 ve 25 yıllık sağkalım sırasıyla %55,7, %29, %23 ve %15 olarak bulundu. Ayrıca sağkalım 18-39 yaş grubunda %52,3, 40-64 yaş grubunda %35,3, 65 yaş ve üstü grupta %20,9 idi.Sonuç: Cinsiyet ve sağkalım arasında bir fark saptanmaz iken, lösemik prezentasyon gösterenlerde, tedavi almayan olgularda ve yaş arttıkça sağkalım daha kısa bulunmuş ve istatistiksel olarak da anlamlı saptanmıştır. Prognozda, histolojik tip, yaş ve tedavi bizim çalışmamızda da öne çıkan önemli parametrelerdendir., Aim: Acute leukemia/lymphoma and myeloid sarcoma originated from hematopoietic precursor cells are clonal neoplastic proliferations. The aim of this study was to evaluate the epidemiological analysis of patients and compare them to global findings.Materials and Methods: The data, including 2,046 adult patients diagnosed as acute leukemia/lymphoma, and myeloid sarcoma recorded at Ege University Cancer Control and Research Center, within 1992-2017, were evaluated retrospectively.Results: Of the patients, 58% was male; the mean age was 50.62, the median age was 52. The most common type of leukemia (62.5%) was acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Leukemic presentation was seen in 95.8% of the patients. While the non-specified type of lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) decreased in years, the diagnosis of leukemia in other groups increased in years. It was found that the incidence of ALL, which are more common in the pediatric age, decreased with age, and the incidence of acute leukemia with ambiguous lineage increased with age. Most of the AML and all leukemia patients were in the age range of 40-64. Overall survival for 1, 5, 10, and 25-year in patients with acute leukemia were 55.7%, 29%, 23%, and 15%, respectively. In addition, it was 52.3% in the 18-39 age range, 35.3% in the 40-64 age range, and 20.9% in the 65 age and over.Conclusion: While there was no significant difference between gender and survival, leukemic presentation, untreatment and older age was statistically significantly correlated with poor overall survival. Histologic type, age, and treatment of the disease were found to be among the most important prognostic parameters in our study.

Amaç: Hodgkin lenfoma (HL) sıklığı ve mortalite oranları tüm dünyada değişkenlik göstermektedir. Buçalışmada, HL olgularının epidemiyolojik ve genel sağ kalım analizlerinin, global sonuçlarlakarşılaştırılarak değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Ege Üniversitesi Kanserle Savaş Araştırma ve Uygulama Merkezi veri tabanınakayıtlı, 1992-2017 yıllarında HL tanısı alan 972 erişkin olgu retrospektif olarak değerlendirilmiş,CANREG-4 ile kaydedilen veriler SPSS’e aktarılmıştır.Bulgular: Olguların %59,9’u erkek olup, ortalama tanı yaşı 41,8 ve medyan tanı yaşı 39 idi. Olguların%94,4’ü klasik Hodgkin lenfoma (KHL) tanısı aldı. Alt tiplerine baktığımızda %42,1 nodüler sklerozan(NS)-KHL, %31,0 mikst sellüler (MS)-KHL, %5,2 lenfositten zengin (LZ)-KHL, %2,9 lenfositten fakir(LF)-KHL olarak değerlendirildi. Dış borç ve enflasyon, ülkelerin istikrarlı bir ekonomiye sahip olmaları açısından en önemli ekonomik değişkenler olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu hususta çalışmanın amacı, dış borçların enflasyon üzerindeki etkilerini Türkiye ekonomisi üzerinde 2000-2019 yılları arasındaki verilere dayanarak ortaya koymaktır. Burada takip edilen yöntem karşılaştırmaları olarak Türkiye’de dış borç ve enflasyon verilerini sınırlandırılan yıllar içerisinde sunulması ve akabinde gerekli değerlendirmelerin yapılmasıdır. Bu konjonktür, gelişmekte olan Türkiye ekonomisi için oldukça önemli olup, günümüzde de fenomen konulardan birisini teşkil etmektedir. Çalışmanın bulguları; Türkiye’de özel sektör dış borçlanmaların enflasyon oranları üzerindeki etkilerinin, kamu sektörü borçlanmalarına göre daha fazla olduğudur. Bu hususta, özel kesim dış borçlanmaları ile enflasyon oranları arasında pozitif bir bağ gözlemlenmiş ve aynı zamanda brüt dış borçların enflasyon üzerindeki etkilerinin bir dönem gecikmeli olduğu görülmüştür. Ek olarak bu etkilerin ters hareket ettiği durumlarda mevcuttur. Bu sonuçlar, Türkiye’de başvurulan dış borçların kullanımı ile ilişkilendirildiğinde olağan gözükmektedir.

Aim: Appendicitis, accepted as one of the common causes of acute abdominal pain in the world, is difficultto diagnose especially in the childhood period and could be mixed up with other diseases. This study aimsto analyze patients’ C - reactive protein (CRP) and Hemogram parameters at first hospitalization and identifythe relationship between them in patients who were diagnosed with acute, complicated appendicitis andwere under clinical observation due to non-specific abdominal pain.Material and Methods: 573 pediatric patients who applied to our hospital with the complaint of abdominalpain between January 2016 and May 2017 were screened retrospectively. The patients were divided intothree groups as those who were under clinical observation due to non-specific abdominal pain and thosewho had acute appendicitis and complicated appendicitis. Demographic data, CRP, Hemogram parameters,and the proportions derived from these were recorded for all the patients.Results: Compared to the observation non-specific abdominal pain group, NLO, WBC/MPV, CRP/MPV, PLOand MPV/L values were found to be higher in the patient group that underwent appendectomy (p0.05).Conclusion: As the NLO, WBC/MPV, CRP/MPV, PLO and MPV/L values were found to be higher in the groupthat underwent appendectomy, we believe that these parameters could support diagnosis in terms of thedecision to perform surgery or identification of non-specific abdominal pain observations., Amaç: Dünyada akut karının yaygın nedenlerinden biri olarak kabul edilen apandisitin tanısı özellikle çocuklukçağında zordur ve başka hastalıklarla karışabilmektedir. Çalışmamızda akut, komplike apandisit tanısıalan ve karın ağrısı nedeniyle klinik izleme alınan hastaların ilk yatışlarında alınan c-reaktif protein (CRP) vehemogram parametrelerinin analiz edilerek aralarındaki ilişkinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Ocak 2016- Mayıs 2017 tarihleri arasında hastanemize karın ağrısı yakınması ile başvuran573 çocuk hasta geriye dönük olarak tarandı. Tüm hastaların demografik verileri, CRP, hemogramparametreleri ve bundan türetilen oranlar kaydedildi.Bulgular: NLO, WBC/MPV, CRP/MPV, PLO ve MPV/L değerleri apendektomi yapılan hastalarda karın ağrısıgözlem grubundan daha yüksek çıkmıştır (p0.05)Sonuç: NLO, WBC/MPV, CRP/MPV, PLO ve MPV/L değerlerinin apendektomi yapılan hastalarda daha yüksekçıkması nedeniyle operasyona karar vermede ya da karın ağrısı gözlemleri belirlemede bu parametrelerintanıyı destekleyeceği kanaatindeyiz.

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de döviz kurlarında meydana gelen şokların, enflasyon üzerindeki etkisi vector otoregresif (vector autoregressşon: VAR) yöntemi yardımıyla, 2003: M1 – 2018: M6 dönemi aylık veriler kullanılarak test edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre döviz kurlarında meydana gelen azalışlarım enflasyonist etkilere sebep olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca analizde 2008 küresel krizin hem enflasyon hem de döviz kuru üzerinde anlamlı etkisi tespit edilmiştir. Çıkarılan sonuçtan anlaşılacağı üzere, siyasi istikrar dönemde uygulanan döviz kurunu azaltıcı politikalar, enflasyonist hareketlere sebep olmaktadır. In this study, the İmpact of exchange rate shocks in Turkey on inflation with vector autoregression (VAR) method for the period 2003:M1- 2018:M6 monthly data was tested.. According to the results, it has been observed that the decrease in exchange rates caused inflationist effects. The analysis also found that the 2008 global crisis had a significant impact on both inflation and exchange rates. As can be seen from the conclusions, exchange ratedecreasing policies implemented in the period of political stability cause inflationist movements.

Gelişen teknoloji ile birlikte bilim dünyasında büyük gelişmeler görülmektedir. Bu gelişmelerden klinik tanı ve tedavi uygulamaları da büyük ölçüde etkilenmiştir. Sağlık alanında yapılan çalışmalar sonucu geliştirilen sistemler gerek hastalıkların tanısının konmasında, gerekse hastalıkların tedavisinde kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmalarda temel amaç hızlı, güvenilir ve maliyeti az sistemler geliştirerek hata payını azaltmak ve hekimlere yardım etmektir. Bu tezde, oskültasyon yöntemi ile elde edilmiş veriler kullanılarak Kronik Obstrüktif Akciğer Hastalığı (KOAH) rahatsızlığının hızlı ve etkili bir şekilde sınıflandırılması için yeni bir yöntem geliştirilmiştir. Literatürde oskültasyon tabanlı analizler ile solunum hastalıkları teşhisi üzerine pek çok çalışma vardır. Ancak bu tezi oluşturan çalışmanın diğerlerinden farkı Ampirik Dalgacık Dönüşümü (ADD) tabanlı veriler üzerinde analizler yapılmış olmasıdır. ADD, verilen bir sinyali farklı modlara ayırmak için kullanılan bir yöntemdir. Uyarlanabilir bir dalgacık filtre bankasının tasarımına dayanır. Bu çalışmada kullanılan veri tabanı üzerinde ADD tekniği kullanılarak daha önce hiç çalışma yapılmamıştır. Veriseti olarak yapay zekâ temelli klinik tanı ve tedavi uygulamalarında kullanılabilecek, 12 kanallı akciğer seslerinden ve 4 kanallı kalp seslerinden oluşan RespiratoryDatabase@TR veri tabanı kullanılmıştır. RespiratoryDatabase@TR veri tabanı içerisinde kalp ve akciğer sesleri dışında göğüs filmi, solunum fonksiyon testi ölçümleri ve SGRQ-C anketinin cevapları da bulunmaktadır. Oskültasyon sesleri üzerinde gerekli ön işlemler yapıldıktan sonra ADD yöntemi uygulanarak sinyallerin farklı modları elde edilmiştir. Dönüşüm sonrasında elde edilen veriler üzerinde istatistiksel öznitelikler hesaplanmıştır. Son olarak geliştirilen sistemin başarısı 9 farklı sınıflandırma modelleri üzerinde uygulanıp, performansları değerlendirilmiştir. The systems developed as a result of the studies in the field of health are used both in the diagnosis of the diseases and in the treatment of the diseases. The main purpose of these studies is to reduce the margin of error and to help physicians by developing fast, reliable and cost-effective systems.In this thesis, a new method has been developed for the classification of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) disease by using auscultation method. There are many studies in the literature on auscultation-based analysis and diagnosis of respiratory diseases. However, the difference of this study from the others is that Empirical Wavelet Transform (EWT) based data are analyzed. EWT is a method used to divide a given signal into different modes. It is based on the design of an adaptive wavelet filter bank. The database used in this study has never been studied before using the EWT technique. The RespiratoryDatabase@TR database, which consists of 12-channel lung sounds and 4-channel heart sounds, can be used in clinical diagnosis and treatment applications based on artificial intelligence. The RespiratoryDatabase@TR database includes heart and lung sounds as well as chest X-ray, pulmonary function test measurements, and answers to the SGRQ-C questionnaire. After the necessary pre-process were made on auscultation sounds, different modes of the signals were obtained by applying EWT method. Statistical characteristics were calculated on the data obtained after the transformation. Finally, the success of the system was applied on 9 different classification models and their performance was evaluated. 66

Objective: Excess adiposity has effects on various aspects ofpubertal development as the timing of pubertal initiation and hormonal parameters during puberty. We aimed to determine the effect ofBMI on peak LH (luteinizing hormone)levels obtained by standard GnRH (Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone) stimulation test in girls with central precicous puberty. Materials and Methods: A total of 59 female patients who were diagnosed asidiopathic central precicous pubertywereincluded in the study. Anthropometric measurements at the time of GnRH stimulation test and basal/stimulatedgonadotropin levels were evaluated. The relationship between BMI and gonadotropins was investigated. Results: The mean age of the participants was 7.11±1.01 (3.20-7.94) years. 21 cases(35%) were overweight/obese. 67.8% (n = 40) of the cases were presented withbreast development and 64.4% (n = 38) were in stage 2, 35.6% (n = 21) were instage 3 puberty. There was no significant correlation between BMI SDS andbasal/peak LH levels (p=0.531, p= 0.598 for stage 2 and p=0.126, p=0.827 for stage 3 puberty respectively), peak LH/ FSH (follicle-stimulatinghormone)ratio (p=0.408for stage 2 and p=0.797 for stage 3 puberty) in patientsaccording to both puberty stages. There was not also any correlation between BMI /BMI SDS and peak LH in total study group.Basal LH, FSH, E2 and peak LH levels did not vary among normal weight,overweight and obese cases.Conclusion: Body mass index had no effect onbasal and stimulated gonadotropin levels in girls with central precicous pubertyin different stages of puberty.

Mediterranean International Conference of Pure and Applied Mathematics and Related Areas 2018 (1. : 2018 : Antalya, Turkey) For many decades, mathematical models and methodologies have been essential in order to provide the understanding of countless engineering processes and technologies. Using mathematical models in many academic research, it was demonstrated that numerous infrastructural problems can be solved, such as locating several facilities related to a specific industry. In this study, a facility location was determined by considering some parameters. A mathematical problem named Weber problem supported the decision of the process of allocating the factory. Additionally, limitations and weights were taken into account in order to solve the mathematical problem. Moreover, in accordance with the fi ndings, a discussion between this study and the previous studies has been made. Objective: Nutrition is of great importance in intensive care patients. Adequate nutritional support increases recovery rates while decreasing mortality/morbidity. The aim of this study was to identify the factors that prevent patients from reaching the targeted calories when they receive nutritional support and to demonstrate the effects of nutritional intolerance/insufficiency on mortality and morbidity.Material and Methods: This is an observational study involving 80 patients over the age of 18 who were admitted to the intensive care unit between September 2017-September 2018. Thirteen of the 80 patients were excluded from the study because only parenteral support was given. Patients were divided into two groups as the patients who did not receive 50%or more of the targeted calories for the first 4 days by enteral pathway (Group 1) and patients who did (Group 2). Demographic data, Apache II, SOFA, Glasgow scores, reason for admission, vasopressor /nutritional support, nausea-vomiting, reflux, diarrhea, the accession to four day calorie needs and access path, respiratory support, dialysis requirement, ulcer prophylaxis and mortality of the patients were recorded.Results: In Group1 (n=30), the target calories could not be reached by the enteral way, while enteral nutrition was sufficient in Group 2 (n=37). There was no difference between the groups in demographic data. Also, 80.5% (n=54) of the patients received ventilator support and 12.9% (n=7) tracheostomy support. There was no significant difference between the groups in terms of respiratory support, bacterial culture, vasopressor support, mortality and length of hospitalization.Conclusion: Nutrition is of great importance for healing. It was observed that enteral nutrition helps to reach the need for energy without adding additional morbidity in a way that does not lead to nutritional intolerance/insufficiency. Although it is associated with mortality in studies on nutritional intolerance, there was no relationship of nutritional intolerance with mortality and intensive care hospitalization., Amaç: Yoğun bakım hastalarında beslenme büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Hastaların yeterli beslenme desteği alması iyileşme oranlarını artırdığı gibi mortalite ve morbiditeyi de düşürmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı hastaların yoğun bakımda beslenme desteği aldığında, hedeflenen kaloriye ulaşmasına engel olan faktörlerini ortaya koymak, varsa beslenme intoleransı ve yetersizliğinin mortalite ve morbitide üzerine etkilerini belirlemektir.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Eylül 2017- Eylül 2018 tarihleri arasında yoğun bakım ünitesine kabul edilen 18 yaş üstü 80 hastanın dâhil edildiği prospektif gözlemsel bir araştırmadır. Seksen hastanın 13’üne sadece parenteral destek verildiğinden çalışma dışı bırakıldı. Hastalar enteral yolla ilk 4 gün hedeflenen kalorinin %50 ve fazlasını alamayan (Grup 1) ve alan (Grup 2) olarak ikiye ayrıldı. Hastaların yaş cinsiyet, boy, kilo, APACHE II, SOFA, Glaskow skorları, yatış nedeni, vazopressör desteği, beslenme desteği, bulantı-kusma, reflü, diyare varlığı, dört günlük kalori ihtiyacına erişimi, solunum desteği, bası yarası, diyaliz gereksinimi, dört günlük kaloriye erişim yolu, ülser proflaksisi, yatış süresi ve mortalite kayıt altına alındı.Bulgular: Grup 1 (n=30) hastada, hedef kaloriye enteral yol ile ulaşılamazken Grup 2 (n=37) hastada enteral beslenmenin yeterli olduğu görüldü. Gruplar arasında yaş, cinsiyet, boy, kilo, VKİ, APACHE II, SOFA ve Glaskow skorları arasında fark olmadığı tespit edildi. Hastaların %80.5 (n=54) mekanik ventilatör desteği, %12.9 (n=7) trakeostomi ile destek aldığı görüldü. Mekanik ventilatör desteği almayan hastalarda %19.5 (n=13) hastanın noninvaziv ventilatasyon desteği aldığı görüldü. Solunum desteği açısından gruplar arasında anlamlı fark saptanmadı. Hastaların kültürde üreme, vazopressör desteği, mortalite ve yatış süresi açısından anlamlı fark saptanmadı.Sonuç: Hastaların iyileşme sürecine katkıda bulunmak için beslenme büyük önem arz eder. Bu çalışmada da enteral beslenmenin, beslenme intoleransı ve yetersizliğine yol açmayacak şekilde hastanın gereksinimi olan enerji ihtiyacına ek morbidite eklemeden ulaşmasına yardımcı olduğu görülmüştür. Beslenme intoleransı hakkında yapılan çalışmalarda mortalite ile ilişkilendirilse de çalışmanın sonuçlarında mortalite ve yoğun bakım yatış süreleri ile beslenme intoleransı arasında ilişki bulunmamıştır.

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, cerrahi alanında kohort çalışmalarının raporlama kalitesini iyileştirmek ve bir standart oluşturmak amacıyla uzmanlardan oluşan bir grup tarafından 2017 yılında yayınlanan 17 maddelik (37 alt madde) STROCSS (Cerrahide Kohort Çalışmaların Raporlanmasının Güçlendirilmesi) kriterlerinin Türkçeye uyarlanmasının yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı; hemiplejik omuz ağrısı olan hastaların omuz ağrısı, üst ekstremite motor fonksiyonel kapasitesi ve eklem hareket açıklığı üzerine manuel terapi tekniklerinin etkisini incelemektir. Çalışmaya 18-75 arası 30 hasta dahil edildi. Katılımcılar 15 hasta manuel terapi grubunda ve 15 hasta kontrol grubunda olmak üzere iki gruba ayrıldı. Tüm hastalara germe, kuvvetlendirme, eklem hareket açıklığı, günlük yaşam aktivite egzersizleri, soğuk uygulama ve Transkutanöz Elektriksel Sinir Stimulasyonu (TENS)uygulandı. Manuel terapi grubunda klasik tedaviye ek olarak manuel terapi eklendi. Tedavi haftada 3 kez olmak üzere 4 hafta uygulandı.Değerlendirmeler tedavi öncesi ve sonrası yapıldı. Thirty patients between 18-75 were included in the study. The participants were divided into two groups as 15 patients in Manual Therapy Group and 15 patients in Control Group. Stretching, strengthening, Range of Motion, Activities of Daily Living Exercises, cold application and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation were applied to all patients. Manual therapy was applied to Manual Therapy Group in addition to classical physiotherapy. Assessments were made before and after treatment. The demographic and clinical data of the patients were recorded. Goniometer for a rangeof motion of the shoulder, Visual Analogue Scale for pain, Fugl-Meyer upper extremity motor functionality scale and Barthel index for functionality were used for assessments and treatments. SPSS v23.0 was used for statistical analysis. p ≤ 0.05 was considered a statistically significant difference. Bu tezde, gravitasyonun genişletilmiş F(R) teorilerinden olan, 'ghost'suz (phantom) skaler alan serbestlik derecesini barındıran ve içsel olarak konformal simetriye sahip Mimetik F(R) Gravitasyon Teorisi'nin alan denklemleri elde edilmiş, sıradan madde ile dolu düz Friedman-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) kozmolojik yapısı için noktasal Lagrangian'i yazılmış ve Noether simetriye uyumuna bakılmıştır. Ayrıca dinamik sistem analizi de yapılmıştır. Aynı zamanda, Bianchi tip-I kozmolojide, evrenimizin erken ve son dönemlerdeki ivmelenerek genişlemesine kaynaklık eden mimetik alanın temelleri, zamana V(ϕ=t)=α⁄t^2 biçiminde bağlı bir potansiyel önerilerek izah edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bunları yapmamızdaki amaç, Noether simetriyi kullanarak, ΛCDM modelleri ve sıçrama durumu için çözümlerin kararlılığını araştırmak, ek olarak, çözümlerimizin Mimetik F(R) Gravitasyon Teorisi içinde elde edilebileceğini göstermektir. In this thesis, the field equations of Mimetic F(R) Gravity Theory with a scalar field degree of freedom and internal conformal symmetry have been obtained, which is extended F(R) gravity theories but ghost-free. Beside, we have been carried out dynamical systems analysis of this theory and analyzed its accordance to Noether symmetry, on having written point-like Lagrangian for flat Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) metric in the presence of ordinary matter. Basis of the mimetic field originating the late-time (and initial era) expansion of the universe also have been described in Bianchi type-I cosmology by proposing a potential function time-dependant in terms of V(ϕ=t)=α⁄t^2 . As a main purpose, we have looked into the stability of the solutions of the bouncing and ΛCDM models by utilizing the symmetries and demonstrated that the solutions are feasible in Mimetic F(R) Gravity.
