Halite beds in the upper Permian Zechstein Group represent an opportunity for the future development of underground storage caverns. However, geological factors such as lithological heterogeneities, cap rock characteristics and depth can affect the sealing capacity and the integrity of the cavern or contaminate the stored fluid. The main objective of this paper is to evaluate these factors focusing on the compositional variation of the Zechstein Group in different salt structures in the Norwegian North Sea, and related opportunities and challenges for salt cavern storage. Based on deformation style, geometry, height and thickness of the salt structures, we have divided the Zechstein Group into four main categories: (1) thin beds, which can be either carbonate-anhydrite or clastic dominated. Halite is absent and therefore there is no potential for the development of salt caverns. (2 and 3) bedded to weakly deformed evaporites and intermediate size salt structures, where thick halite beds of more than 300 m are present, but they are usually deeper than 2000 m. Este artículo de investigación presenta resultados parciales de un estudio sobre la relación entre saberes y prácticas de enseñanza en la formación de artistas danzarios en el programa ofrecido por la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. Esta formación supone la inserción de los noveles en el conjunto de reglas y técnicas que delimitan y orientan la práctica de ese arte. Para el análisis de esa relación, se construyó un corpus documental ―textos académicos, entrevistas a profesores y programas de curso― y se recurrió a las nociones de saber y práctica desde la perspectiva arqueo-genealógica. El artículo está dividido en tres partes: descripción de los aspectos metodológicos; principales hallazgos en torno a los saberes que enmarcan y organizan las prácticas de enseñanza en el programa curricular, especialmente aquellas relativas a danza, pedagogía y didáctica; y algunas conclusiones sobre la articulación entre saber y práctica de enseñanza, elemento clave para comprender la formación profesional en el marco normativo e institucional de la universidad.

Normal faults grow by either simultaneous increase in displacement and length (isolated model), or by rapid establishment of their final length before accumulating significant displacement (constant-length model), or a combination of these tow end-members. In this study, we integrate stratigraphic and structural observations with throw backstripping and time thickness maps to define the growth processes of a basin-bounding normal fault in the northern Polhem Subplatform, SW Barents Sea. During the initial 15 My of Early Cretaceous rifting, the fault system consisted of at least five en-echelon segments, which were ca. 5–10 km long. Throw backstripping indicates that fault segments were hard-linked after this initial stage to form a single 40 km long fault zone. Fault linkage resulted in displacement redistribution, with the locus of faulting being shifted from the center of each paleo-segment, to the center of the through going fault. Across fault incised valleys provide additional information on the topographic response to fault growth. Major valley incisions at the fault linkage zones outline the extent of the individual fault segments and support early isolated fault growth. Fault backstripping results suggest that valley incision and sedimentation rates kept up with fault slip rate, such that the incised valleys remained unaffected by the uplift of the latter fault linked stage. This study illustrates the importance of integrating stratigraphic and structural observations when reconstructing the evolution of basin-bounding normal faults. In particular, syn-rift erosional features, sediment thickness variations, sediment distribution, stratal geometries and onlap/truncation relationships are critical for estimating the growth of these structures.

This study provides a subregional to regional characterization of organofacies changes within the two members of the Upper Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous Hekkingen Formation (i.e. Alge and Krill) by integrating geochemical and petrographic analysis with paleogeographic models. The gross kerogen composition of the Hekkingen Formation is dominated by terrestrial macerals. This preponderance of land-derived particles is more pronounced in the Krill Member than in the underlying Alge Member. There is a greater proportion of marine macerals within distal areas of the Hammerfest Basin and well 7218/1-S in the southern Bjornoyrenna Fault Complex. This shift in the relative proportion of marine and terrestrial macerals is ascribed to changes in the location of the depositional sites with respect to the sources of the terrestrial materials. The Alge Member features the highest levels of total organic carbon (TOC ≥7 wt %), but the more discrete and organically poorer beds of the Krill Member still remain sufficiently rich to be considered petroleum source rocks (TOC ≥2 wt %). Hydrogen indices (HI) between 50 and 400 mg HC/g TOC recorded throughout the entire formation indicate that the kerogen within both members has similar oil and gas generation capabilities. These low to moderate HI values are indicative of immature Type III to II-III kerogens and are generally consistent with the high proportions of terrestrial macerals. Prior to thermal maturation, marine type II kerogens (i.e. ≤ 400 mgHC/gTOC) probably existed in the marine liptinite-rich rocks in the distal Hammerfest Basin and Bjornoyrenna Fault Complex. At least three factors controlled the detected variability in geochemical parameters: dilution rates of organic matter, varying inputs of terrestrial versus marine organic matter, and the degree of preservation. The documented variability in organic-rich facies assists in reducing source rock risk in the study area, but also helps explorationists understand source rock distribution across other shelfal areas.

Sedimentological models for rift shoulders have poorly documented the effect of adjacent fault systems on drainage patterns. In this study we investigate the Loppa High, an ancient tilted rift shoulder located in the southwestern Barents Sea. We use seismic and well data, sedimentological log descriptions, and biostratigraphic information to understand the drainage patterns and the Early Cretaceous geological history of the Loppa High. This study provides an example of how the drainage systems in low-gradient flanks of a rift shoulder can be modified and confined by normal faults occurring almost orthogonal to the main fault system. These orthogonal faults might have acted as preferential sediment routes. Thus, potential deposits of the main drainage systems directed to the low gradient flank are found almost exclusively associated with grabens formed due to these orthogonal faults. The Early Cretaceous evolution of the Loppa High is summarized as follow: 1) during the Boreal Berriasian/Volgian to early Barremian, the Asterias and the Bjornoyrenna fault complexes were active. Diachronous shallow to eventually deep-marine fans and incised valleys were developed along the southern and western flanks of the Loppa High; 2) late Barremian–Aptian fault activity is interpreted along the Ringvassoy Loppa Fault Complex. A second generation of incised valleys and their related shallow-marine fans were formed in the western flank of the Loppa High; and 3) during late Aptian–early Albian the Loppa High and the Hammerfest Basin were tilted eastwards. The latter event triggered a switch in depocenter location and development of shelf-margin clinoforms downlapping in close proximity to the eastern flank of the high.

An extensive seismic database covering an area of 100,000 km2 (38,610 mi2) and 16 wells are integrated to define a sequence-stratigraphic framework for the Lower Cretaceous succession in the southwestern Barents Sea. Seven sequences (S0–S6) are defined, and the geometry, trajectory, and lateral variability of decompacted seismic clinoforms are described to elucidate the depositional history of the basin and to better understand coarse-grained sediment transport from the shelf to basin. Three different clinoform scales are recognized: (1) clinoform sets with 35–60 m (115–197 ft) height, interpreted as deltaic or shoreline clinoforms; (2) clinoform sets with 60–110 m (197–361 ft) height, interpreted as sediments prograding on a continental shelf; and (3) clinoforms with greater than 150 m (>492 ft) height, which represent shelf-margin clinoforms. Furthermore, clinoforms are grouped into two main progradation directions: (1) clinoforms prograded to the southeast in sequences 2–3, in the Fingerdjupet Subbasin and the western Bjarmeland platform, indicating a source of sediments located in the west-northwestern Barents Sea, and (2) clinoforms prograded to the southwest in sequences 1–6, in the eastern part of the Bjarmeland platform, Nordkapp Basin, and Finnmark platform, indicating a second source of sediments located in the east-northeast. Additionally, in the Hammerfest Basin, clinoforms prograded to the southeast off the Loppa high in sequences 5–6. Low-relief (35–60 m [115–197 ft]), high-gradient, and oblique clinoforms are observed within sequence 2 in the western Bjarmeland platform. The high-gradient foresets are interpreted as potential coarse-grained deposits or as a result of clinoforms prograding to progressive deeper waters, resulting in steeper foresets. Clinoforms located in the eastern part of the study area are interpreted as sourced by a mud-rich system, reflecting a long transportation distance. However, thin, heterolithic patterns in the gamma-ray log possibly reflect thin, sheetlike sands. The height of the clinoforms seems to be a factor controlling the sediment bypass to deep water in the study area. When the height is more than 200 m (656 ft), bottomset deposits are common. This study contributes to a better understanding of the paleogeography and the evolution of the frontier southwestern Barents Sea during the Early Cretaceous and to comprehending the variables increasing the bypass of coarse-grained sediments to deep-water settings.

[Salt mobilization causes drastic vertical and lateral changes in relative sea level, which in turn induce lateral variations in clinoform trajectory, foreset angle, relief and progradation rates. Salt withdrawal and uplift produces complex spatial and temporal stacking patterns of depositional environments resulting in different palaeogeographies through time.This study has implications in understanding sediment partitioning of salt‐bearing basins filled by prograding overburdens. , Abstract Although the trajectory and geometry of clinoforms in different types of basins have been described in many studies, few studies discuss the influence of halokinesis on clinoforms in salt‐related basins. In this study, we analyse the Lower Cretaceous clinoforms in the Tiddlybanken Basin, Norwegian Barents Sea to evaluate the impact of salt mobilization on the geometry and trajectory of clinoforms as well as its implications on sediment partitioning. To accomplish this objective, we use a multidisciplinary approach consisting of seismic and well‐interpretation, 3D structural restoration, and forward stratigraphic modelling. The results show that salt mobilization affects prograding clinoforms by: (a) causing lateral variations in progradation rates, resulting in complex palaeogeography, (b) increasing slope angles, which affect the equilibrium of the clinoform profile and can trigger slope‐readjustment processes and (c) producing lateral and temporal variations in accommodation space, leading to different clinoform trajectories, stacking patterns and reservoir distribution along the basin. Forward stratigraphic modelling shows that in salt‐related basins and other tectonically active basins, the isolated use of conventional methods for clinoform analysis might lead to potential interpretation pitfalls such as misinterpretation of trajectories and overestimation of foreset angles, which can have negative consequences for exploration models.]

[Abstract Syn‐rift successions contain both prolific organic‐rich and coarse‐grained rocks, but these rocks are usually studied independently. Thus, the interplay among organic matter deposition, tectonics and sediment supply is not commonly assessed. In this study, we use well logs, Total Organic Carbon (TOC) content, biostratigraphy and seismic data from the SW Barents Sea to unravel the variability of organic‐rich successions and its interaction with potential reservoir rocks in areas affected by active normal faulting versus tectonically stable areas. Four Transgressive‐Regressive (T‐R) sequences were defined for the Middle to Upper Jurassic Fuglen Formation and for the organic‐rich Upper Jurassic to lowermost Cretaceous Hekkingen Formation. Three TOC trends, controlled by palaeobathymetric variations, and organic matter dilution, were identified within the two main organic‐rich sequences (sequences 2 and 3): (a) wells with the highest TOC values (>10 wt %) at the base of the succession; (b) wells with the highest TOC values at the top of the succession and (c) wells with high TOC values at the base and top of the succession. Our interpretation indicates that fault activity controlled the TOC trends in two different ways: Firstly, by creating a sharp topographic contrast‐triggering hyperpycnal flows, and shallowing the footwalls, where higher oxygen content and less developed stratified waters lowered organic matter preservation. This article focuses on the proposal of archival research in qualitative educational research. Based on the assumption that, in this context, different paths are available to the researcher, the question of how to select relevant sources in order to provide singular approaches to the issues at stake arises. More specifically, when conducting qualitative research in education how can the archives be navigated? To that end, the article begins with the notion of sociological imagination drawn from the work of Charles Wright Mills, in conjunction with Pierre Bourdieu’s reflexive sociology; for the latter, the construction of the object of investigation was based on a system of objective relations. Next, the archaegenealogical perspective of Michel Foucault is examined; for him the archive is the instance that governs the emergence of discourses. In both cases, the goal is for the researcher to glean certain insights from the surface of what is said, critically describing the functioning of discourse around the problem investigated according to its dispersion among different practices, which in turn are responsible for giving form to the objects to which the researcher dedicates himself. Rather than a methodology per se, the notion of the archive defended here, without any prescriptive intention, describes a specific way of conducting qualitative investigation marked by originality and critical accuracy.

There have been many studies carried out in the past decade to evaluate the long-term integrity of seals in CO2 storage sites. These seals (caprock and faults) are often dominated by shale and may act as a capillary barrier against the CO2 migration. Thus, geochemical reactions, mineral transformations, surface wettability alteration and reduction of capillary pressure that may take place in a geological storage site must be deeply understood. The main objective of this study is to examine the changes in the mineralogy and surface wettability of shales with different clay contents once exposed to supercritical CO2 for 6 months. The results obtained indicated that quartz dissolution and kaolinite precipitation can be induced in the presence of supercritical CO2. It appeared that brine in a concentration less than 4000 ppm could help to maintain the water wettability of the clay surface. Changes of surface wettability in a storage site could be a dynamic process and linked to the reduction of the surface areas in clays and their affinity to absorb CO2. Given that the interactions between CO2 and rocks are very slow and may take place over a long period of time, further studies are needed to ensure the integrity of seals in storage sites during and after injection.

Los probióticos se han utilizado para el tratamiento de un gran número de patologías pediátricas y del adulto, principalmente, para el tratamiento de problemas gastrointestinales que cursan con la alteración en la microbiota intestinal. El objetivo de emplear probióticos radica en ayudar a la microbiota intestinal a regular sus desequilibrios, pues dentro de las especies que colonizan nuestras mucosas, éstas han sido reconocidas como organismos generalmente seguros. Así pues, el uso de estos microorganismos representa un beneficio para la salud puesto que se valen de mecanismos bioquímicos que causan efectos antimicrobianos y fisiológicos. También se ha comprobado que los probióticos son importantes para la maduración de la inmunidad humoral en la primera infancia y para tratar y prevenir la diarrea infecciosa; sin embargo, se requieren más investigaciones para documentar el uso y sus pautas específicas para los probióticos en grupos concretos de pacientes.PROBIOTICS: LIVE MICROORGANISMS THAT PREVENT DISEASES IN ADULTS AND CHILDRENABSTRACTProbiotics have been used in a large number of adult and pediatric; mainly for the treatment of gastrointestinal problems that occur with the alteration in the intestinal microbiota. The aim of using probiotics is to help intestinal microbiota to regulate its imbalances; since within the species that colonize our mucous membranes, these have been recognized as agents usually safe. Thus, the use of these microorganisms represents a health benefit because they take advantage of biochemical mechanisms that cause antimicrobial and physiological effects. It has also been found that probiotics are important for the maturation of the humoral immunity in early childhood, and for treating and preventing infectious diarrhea; however, more research is needed to document their use and specific guidelines in specific groups of patients.

The Tabaco anticline is a 15 km long, south plunging, east-vergent anticline in northern Colombia, close to the transpressional collisional margin between the Caribbean and South American plates. In the Cerrejon open-cast coal mine, systematic mapping of coal seams in the middle to upper Paleocene Cerrejon Formation has yielded an exceptional dataset consisting of 10 horizontal slices (sea level to 90 m elevation, regularly spaced at 10 m intervals) through the anticline. Coal seams and fault traces in these slices are used to construct a 3D model of the anticline. This 3D model shows tighter folds within lower coal seams, NW-vergent thrusts and related folds on the gentler western limb, and strike-slip faults on the steeper eastern limb. Fault slip-tendency analysis is used to infer that these two faulting styles resulted from two different stress fields: an earlier one consistent with thrusting and uplift of the Perija range, and a later one consistent with strike-slip faulting (Oca, Rancheria and Saman faults). Our preferred interpretation is that the anticline developed its eastern vergence during the early stages (late Paleocene-early Eocene) of tilting of the Santa Marta massif. Later NW-vergent thrusting on the western limb (early to middle Eocene) was related to western propagation of the Perija thrust system. These results contribute to the understanding of the structural evolution of the area. They are also a good example of the complex interplay between detachment folding, thrusting, and strike-slip faulting during the growth of a km-size fold in a transpressive setting.

Prominent high-value gamma-ray spikes in the maximum flooding surfaces of the Middle Oxfordian-Kimmeridgian succession (Alge Member) display stratigraphic and regional variations in the southwestern Barents Sea. These variations suggest heterogeneities in the composition of the Alge Member, thus, challenging the common perception that this interval is a homogenous succession of organic-rich black shale. This study explores the overall variation in; clay mineral composition, source rock quality, minerals and macerals, core logs and seismic facies of the Alge Member. Gamma-log fluctuations were found to be independent of these variations. Uranium precipitates on sea bottom sediments when conditions change from oxic to anoxic. Fluctuations in sea level may result in such changes and, hence, guide gamma-ray responses. Sea level fluctuations also lead to a changing distance to the shoreline, which again influences sediment types, grain sizes, and source rock quality. Thus, indirectly sea level appears to be the common denominator, which sometimes matches source rock richness with spikes on gamma logs. Presence and absence of gamma-ray spikes are, hence, an additional tool to reveal the redox conditions in the SW Barents Sea, which has implications for the understanding of the paleogeography (or paleobathymetry) during deposition.

Summary The Upper Jurassic Hekkingen Formation is an important element of the petroleum system in the Barents Sea as the formation is the most prolific source rock in the area and in addition functions as a hydrocarbon seal. Current knowledge suggests that deposition of the Hekkingen Formation occurred during an early stage of rift initiation and a regional transgressional event, causing the detritus to be deposited in a restricted to open shelf environment. Paleogeographic interpretations commonly display the Hekkingen Formation to have a homogenous depositional environment over large areas, but the unit shows great variation in thickness and composition both laterally and vertically, indicating that the current understanding is to general. Two maximum flooding surfaces in the Alge Member of Hekkingen Formation display prominent high value spikes. The prominent spike could be caused by the total organic content (TOC) in the formation, or alternatively the spike could be caused by the mineralogical composition. The preliminary interpretations show that there is a difference in how the gamma-ray signal responds to the TOC content of the wells. This may indicate that other factors than TOC influence the gamma-ray readings in the source rock.

Summary The Lower Cretaceous Asgard and Agat formations in the northern North Sea in the Sogn Graben – Maloy Slope, northern North Sea, represent a reservoir. The current understanding of the Lower Cretaceous succession is that its deposition occurred during the post-rift stage sourced by inherited topography generated during the syn-rift stage. The Asgard and Agat formations display variability, from shallow marine to deep marine. This study aims to improve the understanding of the distribution, the depositional setting, and the controlling factors on the lateral variabilities of the Asgard and Agat formations in the Sogn Graben-Maloy Slope areas. This will be achieved by integrating 2D and 3D reflection seismic, combine with core descriptions and wireline-log data. Preliminary observations show two different wedge levels in the vicinity of major faults: 1) Pre-Agat wedges and 2) intra-Agat wedges. These wedge levels indicate diachronous fault activity during the Early Cretaceous. Fault activity during the deposition of Agat Formation is supported by core data, where growth faults are observed. The reflection configuration of the Agat Formation is continuous with high to low amplitude. Additionally, the Agat Formation have a fine- to medium and occasional coarse grain-size. Massive sandstone with water-escape structures are interpreted as turbidites.

Summary The southwestern Barents Sea has been in an extensional tectonic setting since the late Paleozoic times. And two major rifting phases occurred during the Carboniferous and Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous. The former phase created the Nordkapp basin and its general NE—SW striking bounding segments, named Masoy Fault Complex and Nysleppen Fault Complex. The latter phase activated the general NE—SW trending Troms-Finnmark Fault Complex in the Hammerfest basin. Previous work in this region have focused on the fault activity during late Paleozoic and suggested a possible onshore correlation of the TFFC. In this study, a detailed analysis of the Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous fault activity is presented. Eight sequences from the Middle–Upper Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous are used to map structural and stratigraphic variations. The faults in the area are subdivided into fault families and the syn-rift deposits are interpreted to be late Pliensbachian–Albian. Clinoforms prograded SW during late Albian to mid-Cenomanian and the Finnmark Platform was flooded during late Early Cretaceous.

In this study, we investigate key factors controlling the rift climax to post‐rift marine basin fill. We use two‐ and three‐dimensional seismic data in combination with sedimentological core descriptions from the Hammerfest Basin, south‐western Barents Sea to characterize and analyse the tectonostratigraphy and seismic facies of the Lower Cretaceous succession. Based on our biostratigraphic analyses, the investigated seismic facies are correlated to 5–10 million year duration sequences that make up the stratigraphic framework of the basin fill. The seismic facies suggest the basin fill was deposited in shallow to deep‐marine conditions. During rift climax in Volgian/Berriasian to Barremian times, a fully linked fault array controlled the formation of slope systems consisting of gravity flow deposits along the southern margin of the basin. Renewed uplift of the Loppa High north of the basin provided coarse‐grained sediments for fan deltas and shorelines that developed along the northern basin margin. During the early to middle late Aptian, the input of coarse‐grained sediments occurred mainly in the NW and SW corners of the basin, reflecting renewed uplift‐induced topography in the western flank of the Loppa High and along the western Finnmark Platform. The lower Albian part of the basin fill is interpreted as a post‐rift succession, where the remnant topography associated with the Finnmark Platform continued to provide sediments to prograding fan deltas and adjacent shorelines. During the Albian, a series of faults were reactivated in the northern part of the basin, and footwall wedges comprising various gravity flow deposits occur along these faults. During the latest Albian to Cenomanian, the south‐eastern part of the Loppa High was flooded by a rise in eustatic sea‐level and differential subsidence. However, the western part of the high remained exposed and acted as a sediment source for a shelf‐margin system prograding towards the SE. It is concluded that the rift climax succession is controlled by: along strike variability of throw and steps of the main bounding faults; the diachronous movement of the faults; and the nature of the feeder system. The evolution of the post‐rift succession may be controlled by rifting in adjacent basins which preferentially renew sources of sediments; local reactivation of faults; and local remnant topography of the basin flanks. We suggest that existing tectonostratigraphic models for rift basins should be updated, to incorporate a more regional perspective and integrating variables such as the influence of adjacent rift systems.

Using a 2D and 3D seismic dataset and four exploration wells, we have mapped the Lower Cretaceous interval within the ENE-WNW-striking Swaen Graben in the Barents Sea in order to characterize the presence of clastic wedges and improve the paleogeographic understanding and the depositional role of the graben during this period. A few Lower Cretaceous clastic wedges have been interpreted within the Graben. Four master faults, two of them striking to the west and two striking northeast creating en echelon pattern, control the distribution of the wedges, which are thickest closed to the faults and become thinner toward the Graben center. On the western part of the Graben, a possible transportation path was changing over time, infilling from south to north and then in the opposite direction. While on the eastern part, the wedges are located on both sides. It is suggested that the graben acted as a very shallow and local depocenter and it did not affect the regional paleogeography.

The Lower Cretaceous succession in the Barents Sea is listed as a potential play model by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate. Reservoirs may occur in deep to shallow marine clastic wedges located in proximity to palaeo-highs and along basin margins. In addition, shelf-prism-scale clinoforms with high amplitude anomalies in their top- and bottomsets have been reported from reflection seismic but they have never been drilled. In Svalbard, the exposed northwestern corner of the Barents Shelf, Lower Cretaceous strata of shelfal to paralic origin occur, and includes the Rurikfjellet (Valanginian–Hauterivian/lowermost Barremian), Helvetiafjellet (lower Barremian–lower Aptian) and Carolinefjellet formations (lower Aptian–middle Albian). By combining sedimentological outcrop studies and dinocyst analyses with offshore seismic and well ties, this study investigate the link between the onshore strata and the offshore clinoforms. Age-vise, only three (S1–S3) of the seismic sequences defined in the offshore areas correlate to the onshore strata; S1 correspond to the Rurikfjellet Formation, S2 to the Helvetiafjellet Formation and the lower Carolinefjellet Formation, and S3 to the upper Carolinefjellet Formation. Offshore, all three sequences contain generally southward prograding shelf-prism-scale clinoforms. A lower Barremian subaerial unconformity defines the base of the Helvetiafjellet Formation, and its extent indicates that most of the Svalbard platform was exposed and acted as a bypass zone in the early Barremian. Onshore palaeo-current directions is generally towards the SE, roughly consistent with the clinoform accretion-direction towards the S. The local occurrence of a 150 m thick succession of gravity flow deposits transitionally overlain by prodelta slope to delta front deposits in the Rurikfjellet Formation, may indicate that shelf-edges also developed in Svalbard. The late Hauterivian age of theses deposits potentially highlights the inferred offlapping nature of the Lower Cretaceous strata as they predate the lower Barremian unconformity, and thus record a hitherto unknown regression in Svalbard. The presence of the lower Barremian subaerial unconformity in Svalbard, the general southeastward palaeo-current directions, and the age-equivalent clinoform-packages south of Svalbard, suggests that the onshore and offshore strata is genetically linked and was part of the same palaeo-drainage system.

In this study we provide a detailed description of the geometry, seismic facies and trajectory analysis of the clinoforms of the western Barents Sea, in order to predict the distribution of best reservoir facies. Preliminary analysis of clinoform distribution, architecture and trajectory analysis reveal four different directions of progradation of clinoforms. Those different directions indicate four different sources of sediments for the Lower Cretaceous which includes: The Fedinsky high and Nordkapp basin to the noreast and east, the Loppa high to the north of the Hammerfest basin, and north of the Loppa High in the direction of Svalbard. The clinoforms can be described as oblique-tangential to sigmoidal-oblique, with a flat to slightly ascending trajectories, ascending and descending trajectories. The clinoforms show both small and wide bottomsets. Flat to descending trajectories suggest high sediment supply to deep waters.

Unalectura detallada de ese campo discursivo en AmériLatina evidencia una importante producción de estuca-dios que interrogan la emergencia de saberes sobrela infancia, al mismo tiempo que describen y definenun conjunto de prácticas, especialmente pedagógicas,cuyo propósito es el gobierno de la conducta de esegrupo de individualidades que intentamos definir yatrapar bajo la noción de infancia.Al dedicar este número a la relación infancia-s, cultura y educación, la Revista Pedagogía y Saberes se propone ofrecer a sus lectores un panorama de la diversidad de coordenadas teórico-metodológicas y de diálogos disciplinares que diseñan un lugar para pensar la infancia como objeto de saber y de poder y que definen las formas como nos relacionamos con los sujetos infantiles, en contextos culturalesparticulares. Con esta edición, el Comité Ela revista hace una apuesta por el uso del ditorial de término infancia-s con la intención de expresar el sentidoplural de los modos de ser sujetos, de la diversidad deexperiencias en los primeros años de vida y, también, de las múltiples miradas y formas de pensar, estudiar,investigar y hablar de la(s) infancia(s).En la sección Reflexiones se presentan catorce ar-tículos que ofrecen un panorama sobre los saberes yprácticas educativas, gracias a los cuales se construyóuna forma de pensar y actuar en relación con los niños y las niñas, al considerarlos infantes. Por su parte, en lasección Investigaciones, se presentan resultados de tres estudios que interrogan, desde diferentes perspectivas,tanto los escenarios de formación y práctica profe-sional de los maestros y maestras que trabajan con elsector poblacional que llamamos infancia, como losprocesos de constitución de cierta forma de identidadinfantil en diferentes espacios escolares. Finalmente,en la sección Reseñas se presenta el libro Saberes, sujetos y métodos de enseñanza. Reflexiones sobre la apropiación de la Escuela Nueva en Colombia, de los profesores Rafael Ríos Beltrán y Javier Sáenz Obregón,cuya lectura ofrece una oportunidad para entender elproceso de apropiación de la Escuela Nueva en Colom-bia y la relación que tal proceso tuvo en la constituciónparticular de dos formas de subjetividad –maestro yeducando– transformando los saberes y los métodospedagógicos en la primera mitad del siglo XX.Las reflexiones presentadas en la revista se en-cuentran organizadas según cuatro perspectivas de análisis usadas por los autores. Desde una perspectivahistórica, seis artículos abordan el análisis de prácti-cas y saberes vinculados, no sólo con la producción de la noción infancia, sino con la definición de formasde conducción específicas para los niños y niñas.Las reflexiones de Ana Cristina León Palencia en Cartografía de los saberes y prácticas de la educación infantil femenina en Colombia: finales del siglo XIX, co-mienzos del siglo XX y de Yeimy Cárdenas Palermo en infancia, juegos y juguetes: contribuciones a un análisis histórico-cultural de la educación en Colombia (1930-1960) describen la emergencia, en Colombia durantelas primeras décadas del siglo XX, de un conjunto de acciones y discursos (de saberes especializados como la psicología, la pedagogía, la medicina, la pediatría, lhigiene, la biología, entre otros) que posibilitaron la adefinición social de la infancia (de lo que significaba ser niño y niña) y que determinaron los modos como ellos deberían ser tratados, orientados, cuidados, se-gún su género y su clase social, situación que habría marcado no sólo los modos de ser sujeto infantil sinolas prácticas educativas que se establecieron paraproducir y conducir estos sujetos.Por su parte lMarín-Díaz en Interés por el gobierno y gobierno a as reflexiones históricas de Dora Lilia través del interés: constitución de la naturaleza infantily de Carlos Jilmar Díaz Soler en Más allá de la infancia escolarizada: Elementos para una discusión sobre el campo investigativo de la infancia ofrecen una miradaamplia al conjunto de discursos pedagógicos que seprodujeron en la Modernidad y que caracterizaronun modo particular de pensar la infancia. En ese sen-tido, proponen el análisis de discursos pedagógicosproducidos en Europa y apropiados en nuestro país que permitieron, en ambos contextos, la construccióde cierta idea de ‘naturaleza infantil’ articulada a non-ciones como ‘interés’ y ‘deseo’.
