In this study, during the exercises in scenarios with four different levels of task difficulty (easy, medium, difficult, very difficult) designed depending on the number of aircraft and airspace structure in real-time simulations, mental workload was carried out on two different groups, who received simulation training and did not receive simulation training (experienced and inexperienced). A two-stage experimental process was carried out for multidimensional examination of mental workloads. In the first stage of the study, the reaction times of the participants before the simulation were evaluated over three different protocols using the FitLight Trainer system. No significant difference was observed between the experienced and inexperienced groups in terms of reaction times. In the second stage, these groups with homogeneous reaction times were compared with each other for the error numbers and performance scores of in real-time simulation scenarios. At the 90% confidence level, the experienced group made fewer mistakes. In addition, the different difficulty levels of the scenarios created a statistical difference in the error numbers. In easy-medium scenarios, students made statistically significantly fewer mistakes than in difficult-very difficult scenarios. Also, the changes of performance scores according to scenario difficulty levels were examined and it was revealed that there was a significant difference between performance scores (p-value=0,00 < 0,05). Students' performance scores were significantly higher in easy-medium scenarios compared to difficult-very difficult scenarios. According to the results of the study, it was seen that the error numbers and performance scores supported each other. It can be said that the difficulty levels of the scenarios have an effect on the cognitive workload (error numbers, performance scores)., Bu çalışmada gerçek zamanlı simülasyonlarda uçak sayısına ve hava sahası yapısına bağlı olarak tasarlanan dört farklı düzeydeki görev zorluğuna (kolay, orta, zor, çok zor) sahip senaryolardaki egzersizler boyunca, simülasyon eğitimini almış ve almamış (deneyimli-deneyimsiz) iki farklı grup üzerinde zihinsel iş yüklerinin çok boyutlu olarak incelenmesi için iki aşamalı bir deneysel süreç yürütülmüştür. Çalışmanın ilk aşamasında simülasyon öncesi katılımcıların reaksiyon süreleri FitLight Trainer sistemi kullanılarak üç farklı protokol üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. İkinci aşamada ise reaksiyon süreleri homojen olan bu grupların gerçek zamanlı simülasyon senaryolarında yaptıkları hata sayıları ve elde ettikleri performans skorları birbirleri ile kıyaslanmıştır. %90 güven seviyesinde deneyimli grup daha az hata yapmıştır. Ayrıca senaryoların farklı zorluk derecesinde olması hata sayılarında istatistiksel olarak farklılık yaratmıştır. Kolay-orta senaryolarda öğrenciler zor-çok zor senaryolara göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecede daha az hata yapmışlardır. Bununla birlikte performans skorlarının senaryo zorluk derecelerine göre değişimleri incelenmiş ve performans skorları arasında anlamlı farklılık olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır (p-value=0,00 < 0,05). Kolay-orta senaryolarda zor-çok zor senaryolara göre öğrencilerin performans skorları anlamlı derecede yüksek çıkmıştır. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre hata sayıları ve performans skorlarının birbirini desteklediği görülmüştür. Senaryoların zorluk derecelerinin bilişsel iş yüküne (hata sayıları, performans skorları) etkisi olduğu söylenebilir.

Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMD) that results from ergonomic risks such as awkward postures, load carried and applied force are a major health problem in industrialized countries. Precautions to be taken in the workplace greatly prevent WRMD. REBA is one of the most commonly used observational methods to conduct working posture analyzes and determine the risk levels of work, since it takes the worker’s entire body into account. Uncertainty arises, because the opinions of the experts are described by a classification, the linguistic values are used and the parameters cannot be determined precisely in the REBA method. These uncertainties can be analyzed using fuzzy numbers.In this study, the working postures of workers in a furniture manufacturing factory were analyzed. Fuzzy REBA method is used to assess the risk results from working posture. The Fuzzy REBA method is applied by considering two different calculation methodology. In the first calculation methodology, it is assumed that only angular positions cannot be determined clearly. In the second one, all parameters consisting of angular posture, optional motion, load/force, load grip and motion scores are included as fuzzy numbers. In this study, the risk assessment of two working postures is explained comprehensively from sixty-three posture photographs taken at different stations. Ergonomic improvements to reduce the risks associated with analysis results are then addressed., İşyerindeuygun olmayan vücut çalışma duruşları, gürültü, sıcaklık, vb. ergonomik risklersonucunda ortaya çıkan işe bağlı kas-iskelet sistemi rahatsızlıkları (İKİSR),sanayileşmiş ülkelerde karşılaşılan büyük bir sağlık problemidir. İşyerindealınacak tedbirlerle İKİSR büyük ölçüde önlenebilmektedir. Hızlı Tüm VücutDeğerlendirmesi (Rapid Entire Body Assessment-REBA) yöntemi, İKİSR içinçalışanın tüm vücudunu göz önüne alması dolayısıyla, çalışma duruş analizleriniyapmak ve yapılan işlerin risk düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla yaygın olarakkullanılan gözlemsel araçlardan biridir. REBA yönteminde risklerindeğerlendirilmesi esnasında uzmanların görüşlerinin bir sınıflandırma ile tarifedilmesi ve sözel değerlerin kullanılması nedeniyle belirsiz durumlar ortayaçıkmaktadır. Bu belirsizlikler bulanık sayılar kullanılarak analiz edilebilir.Buçalışmada, bir mobilya fabrikasında yapılan işlerin İKİSR açısından ne kadarriskli olduğunun ve bu risklerin önlenmesi için yapılacak müdahalelerinbelirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma duruşundan kaynaklanan riskideğerlendirmede Bulanık REBA yöntemi kullanılmıştır.Bulanık REBA yöntemi iki farklı hesaplama metodolojisini ele alarakuygulanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, incelenmeyealınan farklı istasyonlara ait altmış üç adet duruş fotoğrafından ayrıntılı olarak ikiçalışma duruşunun risk değerlendirilmesi anlatılmıştır. Ayrıca, iki işistasyonunda iş yükünü dolaylı olarak etkileyen gürültü, toz, sıcaklık, nem ve aydınlatmadüzeyleri ölçülmüştür. Ardından, analiz sonuçlarına göre ortaya çıkan riskleriazaltmak için yapılabilecek ergonomik iyileştirmeler ele alınmıştır.

Dünya'da her yıl milyonlarca insan iş kazaları nedeniyle yaralanmakta, yaşamını yitirmekte ya da işle ilgili meslek hastalığına yakalanmaktadır. İş kazalarının, meslek hastalıklarının ve olay sonucu ortaya çıkan maliyetlerin azaltılması ve işyerlerinde sağlıklı ve güvenli çalışma koşullarının oluşturulması, iş güvenliği yönetimiyle mümkündür. İş Güvenliği faaliyetlerinin yönetiminde, iş kazası istatistiki verilerinin incelenip analiz edilmesi yapılacak iş güvenliği çalışmasına yön vermektedir. İş kazası verilerinin analiz edilmesiyle iş güvenliği performansını değerlendirme, kazalardan kaynaklanan riski modelleme ve kaza olasılıklarını tespit etme sağlanabilmektedir. Bununla birlikte, iş kazaları verilerinin risk analizi kaza sıklığı ve etki derecesi açısından ele alınmaktadır. Bu iki göstergenin risk analizi, belirsizlik ve değişkenlikleri ele alan uygun olasılık dağılımlarıyla sağlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumu (SGK)'dan alınan İç Anadolu Bölgesi inşaat sektörüne ait 2005 - 2015 yılları iş kazası verileri, şehir, yaş ve kazaların sebepleri gibi bilgilere göre tasnif edilmiş olup göreceli önemleri ortaya çıkarılmıştır. @Risk programı ile kaza meydana gelme sıklığı ve etki derecesi için uygun olasılık dağılımları ve parametreleri belirlenmiştir. Benzetim yardımıyla yıllık toplam kayıp iş günü riski elde edilmiştir. Daha sonra, en önemli kaza sebepleri için kaza oranı fonksiyonu ve birikimli risk fonksiyonu parametreleri hesaplanmıştır. Belirlenen dağılımlardan hareketle inşaat sektörü için iş kazalarının risk tahmini yapılmıştır.Son olarak, iş güvenliği performansının izlenmesi ve kaza sebeplerinin kontrol atında tutulması adına kontrol grafikleri oluşturulmuştur. Yapılan çalışmada İç Anadolu Bölgesi inşaat sektöründeki toplam kayıp iş günü risk seviyesinde son 2 yılda azalma yaşanmasına rağmen kaza ve kaza kaynaklı iş günü kaybı sayılarının kabul edilemez sayılarda olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca inşaat işlerinde kişilerin düşmesinin, makine, ekipman ve alet kullanımlarında kontrol kaybının ve maddi araçla ilgili patlama, düşme vb. tehlikelerin çok sık meydana geldiği gözlemlenmiştir. Oluşturulan kontrolgrafikleri iş kazası sayılarında yıllara göre genel olarak artan bir eğim göstermiş, özellikle "kontrol kaybı" ile ilgili kazalarda Nisan-Kasım ayları arasında belirgin bir artış olduğu tespit edilmiştir.Elde edilen sonuçlar inşaat firmalarının kazaları ve etkilerini azaltıcı daha etkin programlar geliştirmesi ve uygulaması gerektiğini göstermektedir. Bu çalışmadaki analiz sonuçları İç Anadolu Bölgesi'ndeki inşaat firmalarının yürürlükte olan 6331 sayılı İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Kanunu ve ilgili mevzuatları ne derecede uyguladığının bir göstergesi olarak kullanılabilir. Bununla beraber inşaat firmaları ya da diğer sektörler kendi iş sağlığı ve güvenliği hizmetlerinin yeterliliğini ölçmek için çalışmada kullanılan metotsal yaklaşımlardan faydalanabilir, Every year, millions of people in the world get injured, die or catch diseases related to the work. With analyzing the data of the occupational accidents, the assessment of the occupational safety performance, modeling the risk caused by the accidents and retaining probabilities of the accident are able to be provided. In addition to this, the risk analysis of the occupational accident data is approached in terms of the frequency and severity of the accidents. The risk analysis is provided by the proper probability distribution which considers uncertainty and variability. In this study, 2005 – 2015 occupational accident data, taken from Social Security Institution and belonging to the construction sector of Central Anatolia Region, are categorized as well as their relative importance are revealed. With @Risk programme, the proper probability distributions and the parameters are determined for the incidence frequency of the accidents and severity. By the help of simulation, the total annual lost workday risk is obtained. Afterwards, accident rate and cumulative risk function values are calculated for the most important accident causes. The risk of occupational accidents for the construction sector is estimated from determined distributions. Finally, control charts are made in favor of keeping the causes of the accident under control and monitoring the occupational safety performance. Although in the last 2 years the total lost workday risk level in the construction sector of the Central Anatolia Region decreases, the number of accidents and workday loss due to accidents is unacceptable. In addition, the results indicate that the most important accident causes are person falls, loss of control in the use of machinery, equipment and tools and hazards such as explosion, falls etc. related to materials means. In general, the control charts shows an increasing trend in the number of occupational accidents compared to the years, and it is determined that between April-November there is a significant increase in the accidents which are related to “loss of control”. Therefore, the construction firms should develop and implement more effective programs to reduce accidents and their effects. The analysis results obtained from this study can be used as an indicator of how the construction firms in the Central Anatolia Region apply the Act No.6331 on Occupational Health and Safety and related legislation. Besides, construction firms or other sectors may benefit from the methodological approach used in this study to measure the adequacy of their occupational health and safety activities

The concept of risk has become increasingly important with the economic and technologic advances on the 1920s. A systematized control of risks is possible only through a thorough risk management policy. Risk assessment forms one of the essential and highly critical steps of the risk management. In recent years, accident rates in construction companies in Turkey have visibly increased with the expansion of the construction industry in Turkey. In this study, risk assessment is done for a construction company, starting from the first step. With a thorough risk assessment, the aim is to reduce the number of the accidents caused by hazards to the minimum by specifying and reducing possible hazards in the construction area. An integrated model which consists of two methods is suggested for the risk assessment. This model consists of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methods. Primarily, in FMEA, risk priority indexes (RPI) are determined and the hazard types are ordered. Moreover, in FMEA, preventive measures for the hazard types are determined. Later, with Pareto Analysis, the most important hazard types corresponding to first %25 are added to QFD method. With QFD, relationships between the preventive measures and most important hazard types are specified. Afterwards, the preventive measures are ordered according to their importance levels to prevent most of the hazard types. The ideas of the managers working in the construction company are utilized in the setup of both FMEA and QFD. In this way, the risk assessment is done using FMEA and QFD methods in an integrated way. The ordering of the preventive measures to be taken is performed in this risk assessment., Risk kavramı, 1920’li yıllardaki ekonomik ve teknolojik gelişmeler ile daha önemli hale gelmiştir. Risklerin sistemli bir şekilde kontrolü, iyi bir risk yönetimi ile mümkün olabilir. Risk değerlendirmesi, risk yönetiminin en önemli ve en kritik adımlarından birini oluşturmaktadır. Son yıllarda inşaat sektörünün Türkiye’de canlanması ile Türkiye’deki inşaat şirketlerinde kaza oranları gözle görülür bir şekilde artış göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada, ilk adımdan başlayarak bir inşaat firması için risk değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. İyi bir risk değerlendirmesi ile inşaat alanında olan olası tehlikelerin belirlenip azaltılarak; tehlikelerden dolayı oluşan kazaların sayısının asgari düzeye indirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Risk değerlendirmesi için iki yöntemden oluşan bütünleşik bir model önerilmiştir. Bu model, Hata Türü ve Etkileri Analizi (HTEA) ve Kalite Fonksiyon Yayılımı (KFY) yöntemlerinden oluşmaktadır. Öncelikle, HTEA’da her bir tehlike türü için risk öncelik göstergeleri (RÖG) bulunmuştur ve tehlike türlerinin sıralaması yapılmıştır. Ayrıca, HTEA’da tehlike türleri için alınacak önleyici tedbirler belirlenmiştir. Daha sonra Pareto Analizi ile ilk %25’e karşılık gelen en önemli tehlike türleri KFY yöntemine eklenmiştir. KFY yöntemi ile en önemli tehlike türleri ve alınabilecek önleyici tedbirler arasındaki ilişkiler belirlenmiştir. Sonrasında, tehlike türlerinin çoğunluğunun önlenmesi için alınacak önleyici tedbirlerin önem derecesine göre sıralaması yapılmıştır. Hem HTEA hem de KFY kurulumunda, inşaat firmasında çalışan yöneticilerin fikirlerinden faydalanılmıştır. Böylece HTEA ve KFY metotlarını bütünleşik şekilde kullanarak risk değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Bu risk değerlendirmesinde alınacak önleyici tedbirlerin sıralaması yapılmıştır.

Ergonomi, günümüzün ağırlaşan ve hızlı tempoda çalışma düzenine işçilerin uyumunu sağlık faktörlerini dikkate alarak sağlayan bir bilim dalıdır. Ergonominin birinci amacı insan – makine birleşiminin verimliliğini ve işçi sağlığını arttırmaktır. Yük kaldırma, tutma ve taşıma insanı en çabuk yoran, en çok zorlayan ve en çok sağlık sorunlarına neden olan bir iş olduğu için bu konuda çok sayıda araştırmalar yapılmıştır ve yapılmaya da devam edilmektedir. İşçinin cinsiyeti, yaşı, kaldırılacak yükün geometrisi, kişinin hareket serbestliği, yükü tutmaya yarayacak kulpların, tutamakların oluşu ve bunların şekli yük kaldırmada sınır değeri belirleyen faktörlerdir. Endüstride sağlık sorunlarının önlenmesi için ilk adım, sağlık sorunlarına yol açan etmenlerin saptanması olmalıdır. Bu etmenlerin ortadan kaldırılması için revize edilmiş NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) kaldırma denklemi kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, bir kompresör işletmesinde 10 adet iş istasyonu için NIOSH yöntemi ile ergonomik risk analizi yapılmış ve bu analiz sonuçları verilmiştir. Ayrıca iki adet iş istasyonunda da NIOSH yöntemi ile yapılan ergonomik risk analizi ayrıntılı olarak anlatılmıştır. Analiz sonucu önerilen iyileştirme faaliyetleri firma üst yönetimine sunulmuştur. Boşaltma işleminin yapılması için robot satın alınması, taşınabilir kaldırma özellikli transpaletin banda aktarma işleminde kullanılması, alüminyum parçaların yüklerinin ağır olması yüzünden alüminyum parçaların ikiye bölünmesi gibi iyileştirme faaliyetleri hayata geçirilerek ergonomik riskler azaltılmıştır.

Günümüzde hızla gelişen teknoloji, her alanda olduğu gibi çalışma yaşamında da önemli değişimleri beraberinde getirmektedir. Bu değişimlerin bir sonucu olarak, üretim sürecinde de hızlı ve yoğun bir makineleşme yaşanmakta ve üretim sürecinde fiilen çalışan insanların yeteneklerini bedensel ve düşünsel açıdan çeşitlendirmekte, çalışanlar üzerinde önemli baskı yaratmaktadır. Çalışanın verimliliği üzerinde olumsuz etkilere neden olan hızlı ve baskıcı çalışma düzeninin olumsuz etkilerini ortadan kaldırmak veya etkilerini en aza indirgemek açısından ergonomi büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmada bir kompresör fabrikasında üretim hattındaki iş istasyonlarında ergonomik açıdan risk analizi yapılmış ve REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assesment) yöntemi ile değerlendirilmiştir. REBA işle ilgili kas iskelet bozuklukları risk durumunu, ergonomik veya pahalı ekipmana ihtiyaç duyulmadan kolayca değerlendirmek için bir araç olarak önerilmiştir. REBA yöntemi, çalışma döngüsü içinde birden çok pozisyonları önemli bir zaman, çaba ve maliyet olmadan değerlendirebilir. Bu çalışmada, REBA yöntemi ile 10 adet iş istasyonu değerlendirilmiş ve gerekli iyileştirme önerileri üst yönetime sunulmuştur. Bu çalışmada, ayrıntılı olarak iki iş istasyonunda yapılan REBA ergonomik risk değerlendirmesi anlatılmış ve iyileştirme önerilerine yer verilmiştir. Shewhart introduced the control charts that are one of the most important techniques of quality control to detect if assignable causes exist. The widely used control charts are (X) over bar - R and (X) over bar - S. These are called traditional variable control charts. In the traditional variable control charts, center line, upper control limit and lower control limit are represented by numeric values. A process is either "in control" or "out of control" depending on numeric observation values. For many problems, control limits could not be so precise. Uncertainty comes from the measurement system including operators and gauges, and environmental conditions. In this context, fuzzy set theory is a useful tool to handle this uncertainty. Numeric control limits can be transformed to fuzzy control limits by using membership functions. If a sample mean is too close to the control limits and the used measurement system is not so sensitive, the decision may be faulty. Endüstri mühendisliği mesleği dünyada ve Türkiye’de ilgi gören mesleklerden birisidir. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de çalışan endüstri mühendislerinin mevcut durumlarını ortaya koymak ve bu mesleğin geleceği hakkındaki düşüncelerini yansıtmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, bir anket hazırlanmış ve bu anket TMMOB (Türk Mühendis ve Mimar Odaları Birliği) Makina Mühendisleri Odası'na kayıtlı olan 6645 endüstri mühendisine internet ortamında, 2013 yılı Haziran-Temmuz aylarında uygulanmıştır. Tam olarak cevaplanan 437 anket değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Bu anketle, Türkiye’de endüstri mühendisliği mesleği alanında yapılan anketler arasında oldukça fazla sayıda kişiye erişilmiştir. Bu yüzden, sonuçların gerçeği yansıtma olasılığı yüksektir. Ulaşılan sonuçlar grafiklerle gösterilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Bu sonuçlar, hem akademik alanda bölüm yönetimlerine hem üretim ve hizmet alanında mesleğini yapan endüstri mühendisleri ve yöneticilerine hem de mesleği seçmeyi düşünen aday mühendislere yol gösterici niteliktedir. Ayrıca, endüstri mühendisliği mesleğinin Türkiye’deki geçmiş yıllarına ışık tutacak konumdadır., An industrial engineering job gets attention both in the world wide and in Turkey. In this study, it is aimed to present the existing situations of working industrial engineers at industry and to reflect their thinking about job in the future. For this reason, the questionnaire were prepared and applied to the 6645 industrial engineers registered to the UCTEA (Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects)-Mechanical Engineers Chambers at 2013, June-July. 437 response are considered for analysis. It has the highest number of response among applied questionnaire to the industrial engineers in Turkey so far. Therefore, it has high possibility to reflect true thinking of industrial engineers. Results are shown in figures and interpreted in the study. This results help to head of industrial engineering departments in academic area, to engineers and managers in production/service sector, and to candidate industrial engineers. In addition, this study lights the way for history of the industrial engineering job in Turkey.

Hata Tütü ve Etkileri Analizi, yüzlerce hata türü için iyileştirme yapılmasının planlanması yerine, sistemin bütünü üzerinde en büyük katkıyı sağlayacak hata türlerini önceliklendiren bir yöntemdir. Ancak yüzlerce hata türü için, veri derleme ve analizi de büyük zaman ve işgücü gerektirmektedir. HTEA'nin başlangıcında ön eleme yapmak ve sadece önemli olarak belirlenen parçalar için veri derlemek, HTEA'nin etkinliğini arttıracaktır. Tasarım aşamasında pek çok parça için HTEA yapılmasına ihtiyaç duyulabileceğinden önerilen model, ürün tasarım ve planlama süresini de kısaltmış olacaktır. Bu çalışmada mekanik termostatın parçalan, müşteri gereksinim ve beklentileri kriter alınarak Analitik Hiyerarşi Süreci ile önceliklendirilmiş ve önceliklendirilen parçalara tasarım HTEA uygulanmıştır. Tüm parçalar göz önüne alınarak yapılan tasarım HTEA'ndeki hata türleri sayısı ile, önerilen modeldekiler karşılaştırılmış ve %35 azalma tespit edilmiştir. Bu da aynı oranda zaman ve maliyet tasarrufuna karşılık gelmektedir., Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) is a method for prioritizing the failure modes that provides the largest contribution on the product instead of improvement planning on many failure modes. But, data collecting and analyzing for many failure modes require a lot of time and human work. Selecting significant parts of a product and collecting / analyzing data for only these parts as an effective way for FMEA applications. At the same time, this reduces the product design and planning time for lots of products in the design stage. In this study, I have used Analytical Hierarchical Process to prioritize the parts of mechanical thermostat by taking the customer expectations and requirements as criteria. And, design FMEA was applied on prioritized parts. The number of failure types of design FMEA with all parts and prioritized parts were compared and 35% reduction was identified with the proposed model. This means that the same reduction can be achived in time and cost.

Quality control is the crucial step for ISO 9001 Quality System Management Standard for companies. While measuring the quality level of both raw material and semi product/product, the calibration of the measuring device is an essential requirement. Calibration suppliers are in the service sector and therefore the calibration supplier selection is becoming a worthy topic for improving service quality. This study presents the results of a questionnaire about the selection criteria of a calibration supplier. The questionnaire was applied to 103 companies and the results are discussed in this paper. WOS: 000291082900003, When expressing any data in linguistic terms related to a quality characteristic, traditional statistical techniques are insufficient to capture the vagueness in the data. Linguistic data can be transformed into numerical values to handle them with traditional statistical techniques by using the fuzzy set theory. Fuzzy systems are suitable for uncertain or approximate reasoning, especially for the system with a mathematical model that is difficult to derive. The fuzzy set theory allows decision making with estimated values under incomplete or uncertain information. Classical Shewhart control charts monitor and evaluate the process as "in control" or "out of control". The fuzzy control charts additionally have the ability to consider linguistic or uncertain values and incorporate flexibility to the control limits. In this paper, the control charts of "fuzzy nonconformities per unit with alpha-cut" are developed. A real case application is given for the fuzzy nonconformities per unit in a truck engine manufacture.

Mobile number portability systems is a system that can allow portability of GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) number from another operator without changing GSM number. There are several criteria to select the GSM operators by customer after this system is legal in Turkey. The main purpose of this study is to determine the market sharing in the future of GSM operators by expressing the weighting grades of selection criteria and the relationship between criteria and alternativesthat include uncertainty as fuzzy triangular numbers. In this study, the selection criteria of GSM operators are defined form literature and views of customer and weighted with linguistic variables by working group. Avea, Turkcell and Vodafone that active in Turkey are graded with linguistic variables to each criterion. Analyzing linguistic variables as qualitative variables and using graded linguistic variables in a specified interval are required fuzzy multi-criteria decision making methods. Bu çalışmada, iş süreçlerini takip eden herhangi bir bilgisayar destekli program kullanmayan KOBİ’ler için daha düşük maliyetli ve kısa sürede işletmeye adapte olabilecek üretim takip ve analizi yapan bir karar destek sistemi (KDS) oluşturulmuştur. Veri analizleri Kurusawa’nın “Oranlarla İşgücü Verimliliği Modeli” ile yapılmıştır. Bu modele ilave olarak “Parça verimliliği”, “Makine verimliliği”, “Vardiya verimliği” ve “Kapasite kullanım oranı” da oluşturulan KDS’ne eklenmiştir.Oluşturulan KDS’nin en önemli faydası, verileri sisteme operatörlerin girmesine olanak tanıması ve duruş nedenlerinin kodlanması ile duruşların da takip edilebilmesinin sağlanmasıdır. Bu uygulama ile işgücü verimlilik oranları günlük takip edilebilecek, KDS’ne veri girişi için gerekli olan mühendis işgücü süresi ortadan kalkacak, duruş nedenlerinin analiz edilmesine olanak tanınacaktır

IV ÖZET Bir ürünün kalitesini güvence altına alabilmek için tüm kalite karakteristiklerini ölçmek hem zaman hem de maliyet açısından mümkün değildir. Her ne kadar Kabul Örneklemesi Metodu ile, üründen örnek alınsa bile, sadece önemli olan kalite karakteristiklerini ölçmek daha mantıklıdır. Dolayısıyla ürünün önemli kalite karakteristiklerini belirlemek gereklidir. Ürünün önemli kalite karakteristikleri, en fazla maliyet ya da en fazla hata oranına sahip olan kalite karakteristiklerinden veya tecrübeli kişilerin görüşlerinden faydalanılarak belirlenmektedir. Oysa sadece en fazla maliyet getiren ya da sadece en çok hata oranına sahip olan kalite karakteristikleri, en önemli kalite karakteristikleri olmayabilir. Ya da hiç önemsenmeyen kalite karakteristiği de ciddi hataların ortaya çıkmasına neden olabilir. Önemli kalite karakteristiklerinin belirlenmesinde kullanılan metotların kendi içlerinde belli bir sistematiği olmasına rağmen, bahsedilen özelliklerin pek çoğunu göz önüne alan bir yaklaşıma ihtiyaç vardır. Üründeki önemli kalite karakteristiklerinin belirlenmesinde bilinen iki teknik olan Tasarım Hata Türü ve Etkileri Analizi ile Kalite Fonksiyonu Yayılımı Metodunun ilk aşaması olan Kalite Evinin ardışık kullanımı ile bir sistematik yaklaşım geliştirilmesi, bu çalışmanın özünü oluşturmaktadır. Geliştirilen yaklaşımda, üründe ortaya çıkan veya çıkması muhtemel hataların önceden belirlenmesi ve hataların ortaya çıkma olasılığım, şiddetini ve keşfedilebilirliğini göz önüne alan risklerinin hesaplanması, Tasarım Hata Türü ve Etkileri Analizi'ne göre yapılmıştır. Hatalara karşılık gelen kalite karakteristikleri belirlenmiştir. Kalite Evi Metodu kullanılarak hatalar ile kalite karakteristikleri arasındaki ilişki dereceleri saptanmış, kalite karakteristiklerinin ağırlıklı önem derecelerinin hesaplanmıştır. Kalite karakteristiklerinin birbirleri ile olan ilişkileri, rakiplerin hatalar ile ilgili durumları ve ağırlıklı önem dereceleri göz önüne alınarak önemli kalite karakteristiklerinin belirlenmesi, bu sistematik yaklaşım çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır. It is more reasonable to measure only significant quality characteristics although take a sample with Acceptance Sampling Method. So, significant quality characteristics should be defined. Significant quality characteristics of a product is defined by the quality characteristics that have most costly, or have the most failure ratio, or by taking opinion experience persons. But quality characteristics that have most costly, or have the most failure ratio are not being able to significant quality characteristics. Or quality characteristics that are not defined significant may create a serious failure. Although methods that define the significant quality characteristics have a systematic themselves, it is required a systematic approach that include mentioned properties. In this study, developed a systematic approach to define significant quality characteristics of a product by using known two methods that Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and House of Quality first step of Quality Function Deployment. In developed approach, identifying potential or known failures of product, and calculating Risk Priority Number that multiply with severity, occurrence, and detection made according to Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis. Quality characteristics are defined corresponding to failure modes. Relationships between failure modes and quality characteristics are determined and weighted priority number of quality characteristics are calculated by using House of Quality. Considering relationships between quality characteristics, failure modes of competitive and weighted priority number of quality characteristics are defined significant quality characteristics of product in developed systematic approach. All quality characteristics of a product can not be measured/ tested incoming department or production line due to resource constraints. This study presents fuzzy multiple objective decision model with resource constraints to select the significant quality characteristics of product. This study starts Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) for product failures, and then Quality Function Deployment (QFD) matrix for failure is used to weight the quality characteristics. In QFD matrix, relationships between failure modes and quality characteristics, technical difficulties and costs are defined with fuzzy numbers. Fuzzy multiple objective decision model is conducted to define the fulfilment level for each quality characteristic by achieving two objectives that are maximizing the weights and minimizing the technical difficulties subject to cost. Industrial application is solved with Two-Phase approach for the fuzzy linear programming problems. With this approach, unnecessary measuring/ testing operations and testing investments are eliminated, and consuming of labour time and materials are provided by defining the significant quality characteristics.

The calibration of measurement devices is one of the IS09001 standard requirements for quality. Although companies select and manage their calibration processes as economically as possible, cost is not their only selection criterion. Technical capability, documentation competence, performance history, warranties, and communications are also considered when selecting calibration suppliers. There are numerous criteria and methods in the current literature on supplier selection, but few studies have specifically examined the selection of calibration suppliers. This paper is the first study that specifically examines the selection process for calibration suppliers by utilizing selection criteria that were researched and presented prior to this study. Due to the varied linguistic expressions of criteria and the uncertain model parameters, this paper presents a fuzzy approach for selecting a calibration supplier. The model contains relevant calibration service quality parameters such as the weight of criteria, cost, calibration time, demand, technical capability, and number of experts. This study proposes a fuzzy multi-objective linear programming model that assigns the calibration supplier to the measurement device using two objectives: maximizing the fuzzy weight of the criteria and minimizing the fuzzy calibration cost through fuzzy calibration time, the number of certified experts, the technical capability of the company, and the measurement device demand. A two-phase approach is used to solve the fuzzy multi-objective decision model. Weight, cost, and calibration time are handled as fuzzy numbers for modelling the imprecise data. Especially, measuring and improving the quality of service for accommodation establishments, which are one of the major stakeholders of the tourism sector and which have many competitors in the market, increases the value of the business as well as achieving competitive advantage by increasing customer satisfaction. Since the number of stars in hotels is not an indicator of service quality, special techniques are needed to measure it. The aim of this study is to determine the hotel which is the best service quality from four-star hotels in Elazığ with multi-criteria decision making methods. In order to increase the effectiveness of the study results, fuzzy logic approaches were adopted and the decision-making process of decision makers was facilitated. In the study where dimensions of the service quality as `Tangibles`, `Reliability`, `Responsiveness`, `Assurance` and `Empathy`, the importance of the criteria was determined by AHP method. Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method is one of the most commonly used observational tools for analyzing working postures and evaluating the risk levels of work. In the conventional REBA method, the angles, optional motions, load/force, load grip and activity states of the work postures are determined according to the scores by the experts. Uncertainty arises, if the experts do not have sufficient experience, they cannot determine the angular and other characteristics of the working postures certainly and subjective opinions exist in the assessment process. WOS: 000355036900020, The vehicle routing problem with backhauls (VRPB) is an extension of the standard vehicle routing problem. VRPB has two sets of customers: linehaul customers and backhaul customers. The aim of this study is to propose a new algorithm based on fuzzy multi-objective programming (FMOP-VRPB algorithm) to solve the VRPB. The FMOP-VRPB algorithm has three phases; clustering, routing and local search. In the clustering phase, customers are assigned to vehicles by the proposed multi-objective programming (MOP) model with two objective functions: minimizing the total distance and maximizing the total savings value. The proposed MOP model is solved by fuzzy operators. The weights of the objectives are also calculated by a fuzzy two-person zero-sum game with mixed strategies using membership functions in a fuzzy pay-off matrix. In the routing phase, each vehicle is routed as a traveling salesman problem with backhauls. The local search phase is used to improve the routes. The primary contributions of the FMOP-VRPB algorithm are to consider the two objectives, to determine the weights of objectives using the proposed fuzzy pay-off matrix in the clustering phase and to use only mathematical programming in both the clustering and routing phases through many customers in an acceptable CPU time. The algorithm will also show that the proposed MOP model defines the seed customers itself in the clustering phase and will always generates feasible clusters, contrary to the reports in the literature. Benchmark problems from the literature are solved to test the performance of the FMOP-VRPB algorithm. The results indicate that the FMOP-VRPB algorithm generates sufficient solutions, and CPU times are within acceptable limits. In addition, a weekly routing problem for a logistics department of a ceramics firm in Turkey is solved by the FMOP-VRPB algorithm. The samples were characterized by SEM, BET, FTIR and elemental analysis, and were then evaluated for the removal of Disperse Orange 30 (DO30) dyes from aqueous solutions. A 3(k) factorial design was used to determine the interaction effects of carbonization temperature, pH, dosage of adsorbent and type of activating agent on the amount of dye removal. Also, level of effectiveness factors were determined by conducting regression models for maximum adsorption efficiency. Of all the samples, the sample generated using ZnCl2 as an activating agent showed a maximum dye removal efficiency of 93.5% at a carbonization temperature of 750 degrees C, a pH of 2 and an adsorbent dosage of 0.15 g/25 ml. İlgilenilen konu bir parçanın yaşam süresi olduğunda, çalışmanın başlangıcından sonuna kadar parçanın gözlem altında bulundurulması çeşitli nedenlerden dolayı mümkün değildir. Bu durum, analizde kullanılmak için elde edilen verilerde yüksek derecede belirsizlikler meydana getirir. Bu nedenle çalışmada, veriler üçgen sezgisel bulanık sayı olarak elde edilmiş ve analizin matematiksel çözümlemelerinde bulanık küme teorisi kullanılmıştır. The fuzzy set theory addresses the development of concepts and techniques for dealing with uncertainty or impression conditions. Standart maliyet yaratan bir noktaya sahip bir rotanın toplam maliyetinin belirlenmesi için, bu maliyete uğrama maliyeti ve standart rotadan sapma maliyeti de eklenmektedir. Bu çalışmada, standart rota maliyetleri, uğrama maliyetleri ve rotadan sapma maliyetleri adı verilen gerçek hayat maliyetleri, açık uçlu araç rotalama problemlerinde ana maliyetler olarak ele alınarak model oluşturulmuştur. Problem NP-Zor yapıda olduğu için kesin çözüm üreten yazılımlar problemin çözümünde yeterli olmamaktadır. Metasezgiseller, akla yatkın bir sürede yeterince iyi sonuçlar elde etmek için iyi bir yol olduğundan çözüm, bir melez genetik algoritma ile yapılmıştır.

Type-1 fuzzy sets used defining as expert's linguistic judgement because fuzzy set theory is concerned with uncertainty in human thought and perception. Some fuzzy multi-criteria decision making problems are extended by using type-2 fuzzy sets. Bu tez kapsamında, Çok Periyotlu Ertelenebilir Talepli Açık Uçlu Araç Rotalama Problemi (ÇP-ET-AUARP) ele alınmış ve bu problem için iki farklı matematiksel model oluşturulmuştur. Ele alınan problemde, tek seferlik statik rotalama yerine farklı günlerde gelen siparişlerin ertelenmesi ve birleştirilmesi söz konusudur. Siparişlerin birleştirilmesi taşıma maliyetlerinde azalma sağlarken, depoda tutma maliyetlerinde artışa neden olabilmektedir. Kurulan matematiksel modeller, bu ödünleşmeye bakarak toplam taşıma ve stoklama maliyetlerini en küçüklemeyi amaçlamaktadırlar. Bu çalışmada literatürde yer alan ÇP-ARP çalışmalarından farklı olarak, her bir müşterinin bir planlama dönemi boyunca birden fazla talebinin olabilmesi durumu ilk kez göz önünde bulundurulmuştur. Oluşturulan matematiksel modeller, doğrusal olmayan fonksiyonlar içermektedir. Doğrusal olmayan modeller ile optimal çözümün bulunması zor ve zaman alıcı olduğundan, kurulan modellere doğrusallaştırma metodu uygulanmıştır. Modeller 5, 7 ve 9 müşteriden oluşan gerçek hayat veri setleri için çözülmüştür. Problemin NP-zor yapısı nedeniyle küçük boyutlu örnekler seçilmiştir.

WOS: 000367107300032, This paper aims at the optimization of bio-oil yield obtained from poplar sawdust pyrolysis. A response surface methodology was carried out to optimize the experimental conditions. The factors investigated were temperature, pressure and heating rate. Five levels, which were low level, upper level, center point and two axillar points, were considered for each of the factors. Statistical analysis shows that these factors significantly affect bin-oil yield. According to the model, bin-oil yield is maximized when the following conditions are utilized; a pyrolysis temperature of 528.44 degrees C, pressure of 1 bar, and a heating rate of 750 degrees C/min. Bin-oil yield decreased with increased pressure, and the maximum bin-oil yield obtained was 30.45%. The physical properties of char and chemical compositions of the produced bio-oil were then characterized. These included SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and GC/MS (Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry) characterization. The formation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) from the pyrolysis of poplar sawdust was observed, taking into account the influence of pressure. Pressurized pyrolysis of poplar sawdust generated a tar range of 2-4 ring PAHs. Araştırmada, kadın girişimcilere sunulan hizmet kalitesini ölçümleyebilmek ve istekleri belirleyebilmek için, SERVQUAL ölçeğe uygun bir anket hazırlanmış ve uygulanmıştır. Kalite Fonksiyon Göçerimi (KFG) yöntemi ile de, kadın girişimcilerin istek ve beklentilerini gerçekleştirecek ve hizmet kalitesini eniyileyecek teknik gereksinimler belirlenerek önceliklendirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, bu teknik gereksinimlerle ilgili iyileştirme önerileri sunulmuş ve gerçekleştirilmiştir.

Bu tezde, literatür araştırması ve firmalarda 6 sigma sürecini yöneten uzman kara kuşak sahibi kişilerin görüşlerine dayanarak kritik başarı faktörleri ana ve alt kriterler olarak belirlenmiştir. Belirlenen kriterlerin ağırlıkları, kriterler arasındaki etkileşimleri de dikkate alan Analitik Ağ Süreci (Analytic Network Process-ANP) yöntemiyle ve grup kararı dikkate alınarak hesaplanmıştır. Uygulama, beyaz eşya sektöründe Türkiye'nin önde gelen bir firmasında, tamamlanmış 15 adet 6 sigma projesinin değerlendirilmesi ve sıralanması amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu şekilde firmanın 6 sigma uygulama konusundaki başarısı daha gerçekçi bir şekilde ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmaktadır. Çalışmamızda 6 sigma projelerinin başarısının ölçümü konusunda etkin değerlendirme sistemlerinin geliştirilebilmesi ve sonra yapılacak projelere yol gösterici nitelikte olmasına özen gösterilmiştir.

This philosophy is based on eight main principles: customer focus, leadership, involvement of employee, system approach, continuous improvement, process approach, and facts based decision making, and mutually beneficial supplier relationship. TQM includes statistical analysis of data, implementation of corrective and preventive actions, measurement of performance indicators of process and also advancement on actions for continuous improvement. The aim of Statistical Process Control (SPC) is to detect the variation and nonconforming units for improvement in the quality of process. While manually collecting data, the ambiguity or vagueness exists in the data which are called fuzzy data from measurement system or human experts. Fuzzy data can be analyzed by fuzzy control charts in SPC. Fuzzy control charts are implemented for monitoring and analyzing process, and reducing the variability of process. Also, an intelligent system is developed to eliminate or reduce uncertainty on data by using a fuzzy approach.

Risk kavramı, 1920’li yıllardaki ekonomik ve teknolojik gelişmeler ile daha önemli hale gelmiştir. Risklerin sistemli bir şekilde kontrolü, iyi bir risk yönetimi ile mümkün olabilir. Risk değerlendirmesi, risk yönetiminin en önemli ve en kritik adımlarından birini oluşturmaktadır. Son yıllarda inşaat sektörünün Türkiye’de canlanması ile Türkiye’deki inşaat şirketlerinde kaza oranları gözle görülür bir şekilde artış göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada, ilk adımdan başlayarak bir inşaat firması için risk değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. İyi bir risk değerlendirmesi ile inşaat alanında olan olası tehlikelerin belirlenip azaltılarak; tehlikelerden dolayı oluşan kazaların sayısının asgari düzeye indirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Risk değerlendirmesi için iki yöntemden oluşan bütünleşik bir model önerilmiştir. Bu model, Hata Türü ve Etkileri Analizi (HTEA) ve Kalite Fonksiyon Yayılımı (KFY) yöntemlerinden oluşmaktadır. Öncelikle, HTEA’da her bir tehlike türü için risk öncelik göstergeleri (RÖG) bulunmuştur ve tehlike türlerinin sıralaması yapılmıştır. Ayrıca, HTEA’da tehlike türleri için alınacak önleyici tedbirler belirlenmiştir. Daha sonra Pareto Analizi ile ilk %25’e karşılık gelen en önemli tehlike türleri KFY yöntemine eklenmiştir. KFY yöntemi ile en önemli tehlike türleri ve alınabilecek önleyici tedbirler arasındaki ilişkiler belirlenmiştir. Sonrasında, tehlike türlerinin çoğunluğunun önlenmesi için alınacak önleyici tedbirlerin önem derecesine göre sıralaması yapılmıştır. Hem HTEA hem de KFY kurulumunda, inşaat firmasında çalışan yöneticilerin fikirlerinden faydalanılmıştır. Böylece HTEA ve KFY metotlarını bütünleşik şekilde kullanarak risk değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Bu risk değerlendirmesinde alınacak önleyici tedbirlerin sıralaması yapılmıştır., The concept of risk has become increasingly important with the economic and technologic advances on the 1920s. A systematized control of risks is possible only through a thorough risk management policy. Risk assessment forms one of the essential and highly critical steps of the risk management. In recent years, accident rates in construction companies in Turkey have visibly increased with the expansion of the construction industry in Turkey. In this study, risk assessment is done for a construction company, starting from the first step. With a thorough risk assessment, the aim is to reduce the number of the accidents caused by hazards to the minimum by specifying and reducing possible hazards in the construction area. An integrated model which consists of two methods is suggested for the risk assessment. This model consists of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methods. Primarily, in FMEA, risk priority indexes (RPI) are determined and the hazard types are ordered. Moreover, in FMEA, preventive measures for the hazard types are determined. Later, with Pareto Analysis, the most important hazard types corresponding to first %25 are added to QFD method. With QFD, relationships between the preventive measures and most important hazard types are specified. Afterwards, the preventive measures are ordered according to their importance levels to prevent most of the hazard types. The ideas of the managers working in the construction company are utilized in the setup of both FMEA and QFD. In this way, the risk assessment is done using FMEA and QFD methods in an integrated way. The ordering of the preventive measures to be taken is performed in this risk assessment.

WOS: 000343614400027, PubMed ID: 25178530, In this study, treatment of cheese whey wastewater was performed using a uniquely-designed continuous electrocoagulation reactor, not previously encountered in the literature. An iron horizontal rotating screw type anode was used in the continuous mode. An empirical model, in terms of effective operational factors, such as current density (40, 50, 60 mA/cm(2)), pH (3, 5, 7) and retention time (20, 40, 60 min), was developed through Response Surface Methodology. An optimal region characterized by low values of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) was determined. As a result of experiments, a linear effect in the removal efficiency of COD was obtained for current density and retention time, while the initial pH of the wastewater was found to have a quadratic effect in the removal efficiency of COD. The best fit nonlinear mathematical model, with a coefficient of determination value (R-2) of 85%, was defined. An initial COD concentration of 15.500 mg/L was reduced to 2112 mg/L with a removal efficiency of 86.4%. İlk olarak, MRP, JIT, kanban, POLCA ve CONWIP üretim kontrol sistemleri incelenmiş ve farklılıkları belirtilmiştir. CONWIP sistemi, kolay uygulanabilirliği ve diğer sistemlerden üstünlüklerinden dolayı siparişe dayalı ve darboğaz içeren KOBİ’ler için uygun bir sistem olarak gösterilmiştir. İkinci olarak, CONWIP sistemi için, erken bitirme, geç bitirme ve fazla mesai üretim maliyetleri ve CONWIP sisteminin gereksinimlerinden olan üretim dengelemeyi dikkate alarak ve darboğaz tezgah üzerinden üretim sırasını ve parti büyüklüklerini belirleyen bir B-CONWIP matematiksel modeli oluşturulmuştur. Üçüncü olarak, B-CONWIP matematiksel modeli, hipotetik olarak oluşturulan farklı test problemleri üzerinden GAMS paket programında bulunan CPLEX ile çözülmüş ve analizleri yapılmıştır. Dördüncü olarak, B-CONWIP sisteminin bir KOBİ firmasında uygulama adımları anlatılmıştır. Son olarak, KOBİ firmasından alınan verilerle B-CONWIP matematiksel modeli çözülmüş ve sonuçlar KOBİ tarafından uygulanan üretim programıyla karşılaştırılmıştır.
