Even before the current pandemic, university students were known to have high levels of hassles, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. In all probability, the advent of COVID-19 has substantially raised these levels. The present study measured the emotional state of university students during lockdown and identified the relevant situational and psychological factors. To this end, 1,297 French university students were assessed during lockdown, which lasted from 16 March to 11 May in France. Situational factors included the belief that lockdown was compromising their future job prospects, COVID-19 symptoms, and health concerns. Psychological factors included students’ implicit theory of emotion, and the coping strategies they used during lockdown. We explored the extent to which these factors were associated with levels of hassles, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. Results indicated that students’ belief that lockdown was compromising their future job prospects was positively related to hassles ( r = .34, p < .001), while concerns about their own health and that of relatives were positively associated with anxiety ( r = .37 and .34; p < .001). In addition, use of the positive reframing coping strategy mediated the effect of students’ implicit theory of emotion on their depressive symptoms. Even though the national lockdown is now over, the pandemic will continue to have a major impact on university students over the coming months. It is therefore essential for universities to provide them with adequate psychological support.

In older populations, falls are responsible for decrease autonomy and increased pain and injuries. With aging, fall risk is multifactorial and associated with sarcopenia, impaired balance, falls themselves and psychological factors such as fear of falling. The objectives of the present study were: (a) to test the effects of a short multicomponent physical exercise program on fall risk and fear of falling; and (b) to analyze the relationship between fall risk and fear of falling. The participants were thirty-five older persons who were engaged in an eight-session physical exercise program. Balance (i.e., One-leg Balance Test, and Functional Reach Test), lower-limb endurance (i.e., Wall-sit Test) and fear of falling were measured before and after the multicomponent physical exercise program. In metastatic colorectal cancer (CRCm), fatigue is pervasive, reduces quality of life, and is negatively associated with survival. Its course is explained in part by psychosocial variables such as emotional distress, coping strategies, or perceived control. Thus, to reduce fatigue, psychosocial interventions appear to be relevant. In some cancers, Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT) reduce fatigue. Hypnosis is also used as a complementary therapy to reduce the side effects of cancer. While CBT requires specific training often reserved for psychologists, hypnosis has the advantage of being increasingly practiced by caregivers and is therefore less expensive (Montgomery et al., 2007). On the other hand, CBT and hypnosis remain understudied in the CRC, do not focus on the symptom of fatigue and in Europe such programs have never been evaluated.Implementing an intervention in a healthcare setting is complex (e.g., economic and practical aspects) and recruiting participants can be challenging. The primary objective will therefore be to study the feasibility of two standardized interventions (hypnosis and CBT) that aim to reduce fatigue in patients with CRCm treated in a French cancer center.A prospective, single-center, randomized interventional feasibility study, using mixed methods (both quantitative and qualitative). While it is now clear that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the mental health of individuals, especially the most vulnerable ones such as students, we have very little knowledge about the long-term consequences. The objective of this study was to compare the mental health and coping of French university students during the different phases of the pandemic in the first 2 years. To this end, French university students were evaluated at four time points: during France’s first lockdown (April–May 2020; nT1 = 1357), the period after lockdown (June 2020; nT2 = 309), 1 year after the first lockdown, which was also a lockdown period (April–May 2021; nT1′ = 2569); and 1 year after the end of the first unlock (June 2021; nT2′ = 1136). Anxiety and depressive symptoms, coping and concerns were measured. In order to compare scores between the lockdown and unlock periods within the same year, paired samples t-tests were performed. To compare scores between the 2 years for different participants, independent samples t-tests were conducted. Our results showed that maladaptive strategies, concerns and symptoms were higher during lockdown periods, compared with unlock periods. In addition, symptom levels were higher in the second year of the pandemic compared with the first one. These argue that the psychological effects of COVID-19 were exacerbated by lockdowns but also by time. This highlights the need for more attention to be paid to students’ mental health.

BACKGROUND Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, sanitary context and e-learning have greatly modified student lifestyles and led to deteriorations in their mental health. An increase in anxiety and depressive symptoms and sedentary behaviors, reduction in physical activity, and a stronger tendency to move toward unhealthy diet have been demonstrated. This finding highlights the need for innovative interventions to promote healthy lifestyle among students. OBJECTIVE This research protocol aims to evaluate the effects of an intervention program on the lifestyle and psychological state of students. METHODS Students from University of Nîmes were recruited and randomly assigned to 1 of 2 following conditions: an intervention group and a control group. Participants in the intervention group were engaged in an 8-week physical activity program. Prior to the start of the program, design-based innovative workshops were conducted with participants to ensure that the program was co-constructed by the users and met their specific needs. Students in the control group did not receive any intervention. For each group, measures of physical activity, sedentary time, anthropometric data, sleep, physical condition, and psychological variables (eg, anxiety, depression, motivation, body appreciation, perceived control, well-being) were conducted at baseline and 9 weeks later. RESULTS A total of 110 participants were initially included. Reporting of the results is projected for the spring of 2022. CONCLUSIONS It is anticipated that this innovative intervention co-constructed by pairs will promote a healthier lifestyle and psychological health in students. There is every reason to believe that a mobilized co-construction approach is a promising strategy to limit unhealthy habits and promote physical activity while increasing motivation. The development and evaluation of interventions to address the specific needs of university students is essential and could be transferred to other vulnerable populations such as people with chronic diseases or older people. International audience; Parental burnout is a syndrome that can be defined along three dimensions: emotional exhaustion, emotional distancing from children, and lack of parental accomplishment. The aim of the present study was to highlight the contribution of children’s mean age to profiles of parental burnout. To this end, the Parental Burnout Inventory was administered via an online questionnaire to 2160 French-speaking parents. Results revealed five profiles corresponding to different levels of intensity of each parental burnout dimensions: not in parental burnout, low risk of parental burnout, inefficient, exhausted, and burned out. Parents with young children were more likely to be exhausted. A network model highlighted the central role of emotional distancing in the emergence of parental burnout in exhausted parents. These results underscore the importance of conducting campaigns to prevent parental burnout by highlighting the different profiles and especially targeting young parents of young children.

University students are a vulnerable population, and many recent studies show that anxiety, depressive symptoms, and academic burnout have been on the increase since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. These findings point to a need for interventions to reduce these difficulties. The purpose of the present study was to assess the effects of 2 formats of an innovative program on students’ mental health (anxiety, depressive symptoms, and academic burnout), intolerance of uncertainty, learned helplessness, and learning. Our sample was composed of 105 university students, recruited on a voluntary basis. They were divided into 3 groups: online intervention group (n = 36), face-to-face intervention group (n = 32), and control group (n = 37). The following variables were measured through online questionnaires: anxiety and depressive symptoms, academic burnout, intolerance of uncertainty, learned helplessness, perceived social support, learning strategies, and beliefs. There were 2 assessments 10 weeks apart (ie, before and after the program in the case of the 2 intervention groups). We performed nonparametric analyses to run comparisons between the 2 assessment timepoints in each group. Results showed that participants in the 2 intervention groups had lower levels of learned helplessness and intolerance of uncertainty at the end of the program. Furthermore, participants in the face-to-face group reported higher levels of perceived social support, academic self-efficacy, and help-seeking strategies. International audience; Many studies have highlighted the impact of lockdowns on the lifestyle of university students. We do not, however, know how these lifestyles have changed over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective of the present study was to describe changes in the levels of physical activity, sedentary behaviors, and alcohol consumption in French university students during different periods of the pandemic. This cohort study was conducted between 23 April and 11 December 2020. Measurements were performed four times: Twice during two successive lockdowns and twice during the intervening period. A total of 1294 university students were initially included, and 91 students completed the four measurement points over a seven-month period. Alcohol consumption, physical activity, and sedentary behaviors were measured. The results revealed high levels of physical activity during the first lockdown, but a subsequent decline during the pandemic that was partly explained by time. The pandemic had a positive effect on alcohol consumption. Sedentary levels were higher during both lockdowns, and sedentary behaviors tended to persist over time. This study raises concerns about the long-term effects of the pandemic on students’ health and lifestyle. The preponderance of distance learning should be reconsidered, given the negative impact of physical inactivity and sedentary behavior on long-term health, especially in young adults.

Many risk factors for PTSD have been identified in flood victims. Yet, some have been under-explored, like cognitive coping, which has been identified as a risk factor for PTSD for other traumatic events. Moreover, while flooding can affect places that are important to individuals (e.g. their home and neighbourhood), the role of sense of place in PTSD has been neglected. The objective of this research is to investigate the potential role of under-explored individual and situational risk factors in PTSD in flood victims. To this end, the following variables were measured in 79 French flood victims: sense of place (with sense of place scale), cognitive coping (with CERQ), and PTSD (with PCL-5). Results showed that the more individuals use inappropriate cognitive emotional regulation strategies, the more attached they are to their home and city, and the higher their PTSD scores. These results can help to target vulnerable people and improve care.

Points essentiels Les confinements ont augmente les symptomatologies anxieuses et depressives des etudiants Francais. Au-dela des confinements, la situation sanitaire a augmente la presence de symptomes anxieux chez les etudiants. Il semble que les etudiants aient augmente leur temps d’activite physique et sportive durant le premier confinement, mais que cela ne soit pas maintenu dans le temps, meme lors du second confinement. La crise sanitaire a eu pour consequence d’augmenter les comportements sedentaires. Il est important pour les universites d’accompagner les etudiants dans la gestion de leurs emotions et de leur mode de vie. Dans ce manuscrit, des dispositifs innovants mis en place par l’universite de Nimes seront presentes.

BACKGROUND The COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting abrupt changes in daily life and ways of learning had a significant impact on university students, in particular on their mental health. However, little is known on how to prevent and/or reduce its impact to date. Prior to COVID-19, some studies have shown that online stress management programs were successful enough to improve students' mental health and stress adjustment strategies, suggesting that these interventions should be further developed during the pandemic. OBJECTIVE Our study explored the effects on mental health of an online self-help program which targeted stress management and learning. METHODS A non-randomized controlled study was initially conducted with 347 university students. Our final sample was composed of 114 participants distributed in two groups: the intervention group (participants who took part in the program) and the control group (participants who did not take part in the program). The variables measured were: anxiety and depressive symptoms (HADS), academic burnout (MBI-GSS), learned helplessness (LHQ), and coping strategies (Brief-COPE). Measurements were performed at the baseline (T0) and at 8 weeks (T1) after the baseline. RESULTS Means comparisons between T0 and T1 reveal a reduction in anxiety symptoms (rrb = 0.49, P = .008) and learned helplessness (rrb = 0.51, P = .04) in the intervention group while no such results were observed in the control group. CONCLUSIONS Our pilot study reports promising effects of our online self-help program on students' psychological state. Further research will be needed to confirm the beneficial effect of this type of program on university students. CLINICALTRIAL

International audience; Health beliefs, and especially illness representations, have been widely used to understand clinical out-comes and psychosocial adjustment in people with physical diseases. However, this area of research has been under-explored in the field of mental health, and the few studies that have been conducted have used very differen tmethods. Therefore, the aim of our study was to identify the tools and methods that have been used to evaluate illness representations inpsychiatry. To this end, a mini review has been conducted and 58 articles werere tained. This mini review highlights that the quantitative method is the most used, and that the scales mobilised are often adapted for the study, but not validated. Indeed,multiple modifications and adaptations have been made by the authors (e.g.deletion of subscales, addition of items) ,which lead to questions about the reliability of what is measured In the future, it is essential to have a validated generic tool for mental disorders, which could be based on the Illness perceptions questionnaire for schizophrenia.

Falls can have multiple detrimental consequences in the elderly, and this is particularly relevant for women. To prevent the risk of falling, intervention programmes based on physical exercises focusing on balance appear to be the most efficient, which explains the multiplication of this type of action at the local level. However, these actions are very rarely evaluated.Our sample consists of 26 women (75.0 ± 6.7 years old), randomly assigned to two groups: an intervention group (GI) that has benefited from a balance-oriented adapted physical activity (APA) program focused on balance and conducted in an associative structure; and a control group (GC). Our study aims to evaluate different parameters such as physical (functional mobility, balance), subjective (balanced confidence) and health (quality of life) indicators in women over 65 years of age, living independently at home.In people completing the program, we observed an improvement in equilibrium capabilities (significant increase in POMA score; p0.05), in balance and functional mobility (significant decrease in TUG score; p0.01) and in balance confidence (significant increase in ABC-S; p0.05).The implementation of a short programme by the associative structure seems to be an interesting approach for the prevention of falls in autonomous elderly women.

Resume Introduction Malgre l’importante prevalence de la symptomatologie depressive chez les femmes en surpoids ou en situation d’obesite, le role de la stigmatisation et des attributions causales dans l’expression de ces symptomes chez des femmes francaises a ete jusqu’ici largement sous-explore. Objectif Cette recherche a pour objectif d’etudier le role de la stigmatisation interiorisee, des experiences stigmatisantes et de l’attribution causale dans l’intensite des symptomes depressifs chez des femmes francaises en surpoids ou en situation d’obesite. Methode Ces quatre variables ont ete mesurees aupres de 160 femmes francaises en surpoids ou en situation d’obesite. Resultats Nos analyses mettent en evidence des correlations positives entre experiences stigmatisantes, stigmatisation interiorisee et symptomatologie depressive. Il est important de relever que les experiences stigmatisantes semblent jouer un role plus preponderant que la stigmatisation interiorisee dans l’expression des symptomes depressifs. Conclusion Pour les femmes presentant une symptomatologie depressive elevee, il apparait essentiel d’integrer a leurs prises en charge des interventions visant a reduire leur niveau de stigmatisation. En outre, dans une perspective preventive, il semble egalement primordial d’engager des campagnes en France visant a reduire la stigmatisation a l’encontre de cette population.

Floods, which are frequent in France, can trigger a range of psychiatric problems. The most common is post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Although personality traits and cognitive emotion regulation strategies have already been shown to play a role in PTSD, the influence of these two dimensions and their interactions has seldom been explored among flood victims. We therefore set out to fill this lacuna, by PTSD symptoms, personality traits and cognitive emotion regulation strategies in 67 adults whose homes had been flooded. Results showed that the more participants used catastrophizing and rumination strategies, and the less they used putting into perspective and positive reappraisal strategies, the higher their PTSD symptom scores. High levels of neuroticism and catastrophizing were major risk factors for PTSD. Results also showed that putting into perspective moderated the influence of neuroticism as a risk factor. In conclusion, we recommend that flood victims showing signs of PTSD, especially those with elevated neuroticism, be offered therapeutic interventions designed foster the development of adaptive emotion regulation strategies such as putting into perspective and positive reappraisal.

Background Mothers of ADHD children often display high levels of distress. Understanding the origin of such distress in a view to reducing it is an essential part of the clinical management of ADHD children. Studies have shown that children's symptoms are linked to mothers' stigma and that such stigma can cause mothers' distress. However, no study has explored the links between symptoms, stigma and distress. Aim We tested (1) whether children's symptoms are sources of affiliate stigma, which in turn contributes to generating mothers' distress and (2) whether such relationship is stronger in mothers of male ADHD children. Method 159 French mothers of an ADHD child were recruited. Four indices were used to assess mothers' distress: anxiety, depression, self-esteem and life satisfaction. Children's ADHD symptoms and mothers' affiliate stigma were also measured and contrasted with distress. Results Mothers' distress was positively related with both affiliate stigma and children's ADHD symptoms, but this was only true in mothers of male ADHD children. The relationship between children's symptoms and mothers' distress was mediated by affiliate stigma. Conclusions Psychosocial interventions in mothers of ADHD children must integrate affiliate stigma and should be adjusted according to child's gender.

International audience; Background: Lesbians, gays, and bisexual people (LGB) present high levels of suicidal ideation. The disclosure of sexual orientation is a stressful experience which presents a high suicide risk. Research has not paid sufficient attention to stress during this disclosure in order to understand suicide among LGB people. The aims of this study were to investigate: (1) the characteristics of stress during this revelation, more precisely cognitive appraisal, emotions, and coping; and (2) associations between these characteristics and suicidal ideation. Method: A total of 200 LGB young adults answered the ``Stressful situation assessment questionnaire'', focusing on the most stressful disclosure of sexual orientation they have ever experienced. Results: Avoidance coping is a good predictor of suicidal ideation, and mediates the association between primary appraisal (risk ``Harm myself and others'') and suicidal ideation. Conclusions: Our study illustrates the need to better understand stress during the disclosure of sexual orientation to prevent and care for suicide risk among LGB young adults.

International audience; Background: According to the Self-Regulation Model, illness perceptions influence an individual's coping (such as the taking of treatment) and emotional response to their illness. Emerging research suggests that this model could be used to explore illness perceptions in mental health. The aim of this exploratory study is, firstly, to measure and describe illness perception in French patients with a bipolar diagnosis and, secondly, to explore associations between illness perceptions and adherence in this population.Method: Thirty-eight French patients with bipolar disorder completed the Illness Perception Questionnaire for Schizophrenia (except the identity dimension). We measured medication adherence with the Medication Adherence Rating Scale.Results: Our results showed that patients with high perceptions concerning treatment control, low perceptions of negative emotions of their mental illness, low perception of consequences and high comprehension of their disorder had a better adherence.Conclusions: Illness perceptions can provide a framework for understanding adherence in bipolar disorder, and the findings could have important clinical and research implications.

The aim of this study was to show the characteristics of stress during a highly stressful coming out compared to other stress situations. Our sample comprised 400 lesbian, gay, or bisexual (LGB) young adults ages 18–26 recruited from two French online dating sites. The results showed high stress during the coming-out process, and almost all participants experienced at least one stressful coming out. According to the transactional model of stress, the primary appraisal (risk assessment/threat) and the secondary appraisals (resources) were examined. Two specificities were present during coming out: the fear to hurt close ones and the limited resources to cope. These data show the necessity of better understanding this specific stressor and developing interventions for young French LGB people.

Resume La divulgation de son homosexualite est une des experiences les plus stressantes que les jeunes homosexuels rencontrent. Cette etude vise a mieux comprendre la maniere dont les jeunes homosexuels y font face. Cette recherche a ete menee aupres de 200 jeunes se disant homosexuels, âges de 16 a 25 ans (69 femmes, 131 hommes). Les strategies de coping employees lors de l’annonce de leur homosexualite la plus stressante qu’ils ont rencontree ont ete evaluees, tout comme la preparation et l’initiative de l’annonce, la presence d’ideations suicidaires et de tentatives de suicide. Dans notre echantillon, 38 % des repondants ont pense a mettre fin a leurs jours durant cette divulgation, 23 % ont realise une tentative de suicide. Ces donnees illustrent la vulnerabilite des jeunes homosexuels lors de la divulgation de leur homosexualite. Les jeunes qui ont prepare cette annonce et qui n’ont pas eu d’ideations suicidaires ont evalue de maniere positive cette situation et se sont tournes vers les autres. Alors que les jeunes homosexuels qui ont peu prepare leur divulgation et qui ont presente des conduites ou des ideations suicidaires, ont eu tendance a se remettre en question, a se culpabiliser et a s’isoler. Selon nous, une approche cognitive, comportementale et emotionnelle permettrait d’accompagner les jeunes homosexuels dans la preparation et la divulgation de leur homosexualite, et favoriserait la prevention du suicide.

International audience; Stress is omnipresent in the homosexual community. This research aimed to understand how young homosexuals can assess and cope with highly stressful situations. The stress generated by the revelation of homosexuality has been especially studied since, for many homosexuals, the experience of coming-out is highly emotional. A questionnaire adapted from the « Questionnaire d'Évaluation de la Transaction Stressante (QETS) » and based on the transactional model of stress has been filled by 200 young homosexuals. We assessed the characteristics of stressful situations, the risks that participants considered present in those situations (primary endpoint), and the action possibilities which they could use to confront them (secondary endpoint). We evaluated the presence of suicidal ideas, scenarios and behaviors during stressful situations, and also anxiety and depression symptoms that were felt during the questionnaire session. Young homosexuals then reported the most stressful situation they have encountered during their lifetime. Announcing their homosexuality was chosen by 52 of the total sample. From this observation, two groups were formed. The first one consisted of the 52 young homosexuals who considered their coming out to be the most stressful situation they have ever encountered (« CO group »; coming out). The second one consisted of the other 148 participants (« AS group »; other situation). Young homosexuals in the « CO group » were significantly more fearful that this situation could hurt their families. Furthermore, they felt more passive than the participants in the « AS group ». Our results also showed the prevalence of suicidal ideas, scenarios and behaviors amongst young homosexuals after facing very stressful situations. These results open a new line of research in terms of homosexual's suicide prevention. They underline the necessity to develop programs based on stress management in order to prevent suicidal behaviors amongst homosexuals.; L'objectif principale de cette recherche est d'appréhender la manière dont les jeunes homosexuels évaluent et font face à une situation hautement stressante. Notre second objectif est de préciser les liens entre stress et risque suicidaire chez les jeunes homosexuels. Un questionnaire s'inspirant du « Questionnaire d'Évaluation de la Transaction Stressante» a été administré à 200 jeunes homosexuels. Les participants ont répondu à cet auto-questionnaire en s'appuyant sur la situation la plus stressante de leur vie. Parmi l'ensemble de nos participants, 52 ont choisi l'annonce de leur homosexualité. Ils ont été regroupés dans le groupe « CO » (coming-out). Les 148 autres sujets ont été inclus dans le groupe « AS » (autre situation). Cette recherche met en évidence le risque suicidaire élevé des jeunes homosexuels lorsqu'ils s'exposent à une situation très stressante. Des prises en charge s'inspirant des programmes de gestion du stress pourraient donc être des axes de prévention du suicide intéressants à développer auprès de ces jeunes qui ont un risque suicidaire plus élevé que les hétérosexuels.

Cette recherche vise à mieux comprendre le risque suicidaire élevé des jeunes lesbiennes et gays. Pour cela, nous avons évalué les liens pouvant exister entre leur risque suicidaire et l’important stress qu’elles et ils ressentent lors de la divulgation de leur homosexualité. Des entretiens semi-directifs ont été réalisés auprès de 15 jeunes se disant lesbiennes ou gays. Au sein de notre échantillon, trois jeunes avaient fait une tentative de suicide, dont deux en lien avec l’annonce de leur homosexualité. Nos résultats démontrent que cette divulgation# être génératrice d’une importante détresse et conduire certains jeunes à avoir envie de mettre fin à leurs jours, essentiellement lorsqu’elle donne lieu à des attitudes négatives. Mais elle peut aussi être source de libération et de bien-être, notamment lorsqu’elle conduit le jeune à bénéficier d’un soutien plus important., This research aims at understanding the high suicidal risk of the young lesbians and gays. For that purpose, we evaluated potentials connections between their suicidal risk and the important stress they felt during the coming out. Semi-directive interviews were realized with 15 young people considering thremselves lesbians or gays. Within our sample, three young people had made a suicide attempt, among which two in connection with their coming out. Our results demonstrate that this disclosure may generate important distress and lead some young people trying to take off their life, essentially when it rises negative attitudes. But it can also cause well-being and relief, primarily when it leads the young person to benefit a more important support.

International audience; Emotional experiences and suicide attempts during coming-out Summary It is assumed that homosexual have a suicidal risk higher than heterosexuals. The coming-out (announcement of its homosexuality) is a stressing experiment during which suicidal conduits are frequent. The aim of this study is to apprehend the existing links between emotional experiences and suicidal risk of the homosexual young people during their coming-out. This study is composed by a sample of 200 homosexuals (69 women and 131 men) and aged between 16 and 26 years. Emotions felt at the beginning, during and at the end of their more stressing coming-out have been evaluated, such as suicidal ideas, suicidal scenarios and suicide attempt. During their coming-out, homosexual are confronted with complex emotions. At the beginning of the announcement, anxiety dominates, and then wellbeing appears. In our group of young homosexuals, 38 % stated that they have had suicidal thoughts and 23 % reported having attempted suicide during their more stressing coming-out. Young people who had suicidal conduits felt more anxious and disappointed at the end of their coming-out than homosexuals which did not try to commit suicide. These data give a new angle of incidence in homosexual suicide prevention. These facts show the importance to work on emotions feeling by homosexual during their coming-out in order to prevent suicidal conduits.; Les homosexuels ont un risque suicidaire plus élevé que les hétérosexuels. Le coming-out (l'annonce de son homosexualité) est une expérience stressante durant laquelle les conduites suicidaires sont fréquentes. Cette étude vise à appréhender les liens existants entre le vécu émotionnel et le risque suicidaire des jeunes homosexuels lors de leur coming-out. Cette recherche a été menée auprès de 200 participants (16-25 ans) se disant homosexuels (69 femmes et 131 hommes). Les émotions ressenties au début, pendant et à la fin de leur coming-out le plus stressant ont été évaluées, tout comme la présence d'idées suicidaires, de scénarios suicidaires et de tentative de suicide. Au cours de leur coming-out, les homosexuels sont confrontés à des émotions complexes. Au début de l'annonce, l'anxiété domine, puis au fil de la situation, elle laisse place au bien-être. Au sein de notre échantillon, 38 % affirment avoir pensé à mettre fin à leur jour lors de leur coming-out le plus stressant et 23 % déclarent avoir réalisé une tentative de suicide. Les jeunes qui ont eu des conduites suicidaires ont ressenti plus d'anxiété et de déception à la fin de leur coming-out que ceux qui ne sont pas passés à l'acte. Ces données donnent un nouvel angle d'approche dans la prévention du suicide chez les jeunes homosexuels. Elles mettent en avant l'importance de travailler sur les émotions que les homosexuels ressentent lors de leur coming-out afin de prévenir les conduites suicidaires au moment de cette annonce.

International audience; cette étude vise à mieux appréhender les facteurs de vulnérabilité des jeunes lesbiennes et gais en lien avec les attitudes de leurs parents vis-à-vis de leur homosexualité. elle a été menée en France auprès de 82 jeunes lesbiennes et gais. au sein du groupe, 66 % affirment avoir déjà eu des idées suicidaires tandis que 31 % disent avoir déjà fait au moins une tentative de suicide. ces résultats mettent en lumière la vulnérabilité de cette population. par ailleurs, les résultats montrent qu'une attitude paternelle perçue comme rejetante est corrélée à la présence d'idées suicidaires et à la réalisation d'au moins une tentative de suicide. de plus, lorsque la réaction maternelle est perçue négativement, elle est corrélée à des difficultés d'interaction sociale et à un fort niveau d'inquiétude. l'attitude parentale perçue par les jeunes lesbiennes et gais constitue donc un élément probant de la détresse et du risque suicidaire élevé dans ce groupe.

International audience; All over world studies illustrate the prevalence of suicidal conduits in homosexual young people. However, the rates vary according to studies, partly due to the homosexuality's definition. Commonly, it is defined by three dimensions, the fact to describe as homosexual, to have sexual relationships with a person of the same sex and to establish emotional relations with a person of the same sex. Young people described as homosexual have a suicidal risk higher than heterosexuals. On the other hand, young people defined as heterosexuals but having behaviors or contacts with people of the same sex do not carry out more suicide attempts than young people who are " exclusively " heterosexuals. These results illustrate the complexity to define homosexuality and the frequency of suicidal conduits in this population. In order to better understand homosexual's suicide attempts, two concepts were privileged in this article: homophobia and coming-out (announcement of its homosexuality). Homosexual's suicidal conduits are frequently link with the social homophobia, the interiorized homophobia but also the family homophobia. Moreover, the announcement of its homosexuality is a stressing experiment which often causes reactions of rejection and can lead these young people to attempt suicide. We will conclude our reflection by an approach of the various accompaniments which can be proposed to the homosexual young people, in particular in order to prevent suicidal conduits.; Les études menées dans le monde entier illustrent la prévalence des conduites suicidaires chez les jeunes homosexuels. Cependant, les taux varient selon les recherches, en partie en fonction de la définition qui est donnée à l'homosexualité. Communément, elle se définit par trois dimensions, le fait de se définir homosexuel, d'avoir des relations sexuelles avec une personne de même sexe et d'établir des relations affectives avec une personne de même sexe. Les jeunes se définissant homosexuels réalisent plus de tentatives de suicides que ceux qui se définissent hétérosexuels. Par contre, les jeunes se définissant hétérosexuels mais ayant des comportements ou des relations avec des personnes du même sexe ne réalisent pas plus de tentatives de suicide que ceux qui sont « exclusivement » hétérosexuels. Ces résultats illustrent la complexité de définir l'homosexualité et la fréquence des conduites suicidaires chez ces jeunes. Afin de mieux comprendre les tentatives de suicide chez les jeunes homosexuels, deux concepts ont été privilégiés dans cet article : l'homophobie et le coming-out (l'annonce de son homosexualité). Les conduites suicidaires des homosexuels sont fréquemment mises en lien avec l'homophobie sociale, l'homophobie intériorisée mais aussi l'homophobie familiale. De plus, l'annonce de son homosexualité est une expérience stressante qui suscite souvent des réactions de rejet et peut conduire ces jeunes à réaliser des tentatives de suicide. National audience; Le burnout parental est un syndrome constitué de trois dimensions : l’épuisement émotionnel et physique (le parent se sent complètement épuisé), la distanciation émotionnelle (le parent n’investit plus émotionnellement sa relation avec ses enfants) et la perte du sentiment d’accomplissement parental (le parent ne se sent plus performant dans son rôle ; Roskam, Raes, & Mikolajczak, 2017). Cette étude s’intéresse à l’influence des schémas précoces inadaptés (SPI) comme facteur de risque du burnout parental.90 parents (85 mères et 5 pères) âgés de 25 et 61 ans (M=35, ET= 6,7) ayant au moins un enfant à domicile ont répondu à un questionnaire portant sur le burnout parental et les SPI.Les résultats mettent en avant que certains SPI sont fortement liés au burnout parental, notamment ceux des domaines de séparation et rejet (R²=47,5%) et de manque d’autonomie (R²=40,3%).Cette étude est la première à s’intéresser aux relations entre burnout parental et SPI et met en avant que l’activation de certains SPI constitue un facteur de risque important à ce syndrome. Identifier ces SPI montrent l’importance de s’intéresser aux croyances de parents afin de pouvoir prévenir ce syndrome et adapté les propositions psychothérapeutiques.

Three studies have been carried out. The first evaluates the knowledge and the risk perception of individuals living in areas at risk of flooding and the suffering that can result from living in such areas. It also measures the effects of a video system on the evolution of risk perception. The second study focuses on the assessment of different vulnerability factors involved in the expression of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms in disaster victims, while the third study is specific to people who have been indirectly exposed to flooding (volunteers and professionals)., FRENCH: L’objectif de ce travail de doctorat est de mieux cibler les facteurs de risque du développement des symptômes du trouble de stress post-traumatique après une inondation à travers l’étude de processus individuels, sociaux et environnementaux, et cela au sein de différentes populations.
