Background. The incidence of neovascular eye disease is increasing year by year, seriously threatening human vision health and becoming an urgent public health problem. Tongmai fuming decoction as an experienced prescription can treat ischemic eye disease. Objective. To investigate the therapeutic effect of Tongmai fuming decoction combined with anti-VEGF therapy on neovascular ophthalmopathy. Methods. 52 patients (62 eyes) with neovascular ophthalmopathy who met the inclusion criteria from January 2018 to July 2020 were randomly divided into the control and observation groups. The control group was given an intravitreal injection of antivascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) drugs once a day combined with on-demand treatment. The observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine Tongmai fuming decoction in addition to the treatment of anti-VEGF drugs. The best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was examined before and after treatment, and optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) was used to examine the mean retinal thickness and neovascularization in the macular area. Patients were followed for one year and the number of anti-VEGF injections was recorded. Results. After treatment, the average thickness of BCVA and macular retina in the two groups significantly improved. The BCVA of the control group was 0.59 ± 0.39 3 months after treatment, and that of the experimental group was 0.42 ± 0.25 3 months after treatment. The average thickness of the macular retina in the control group was 304.8 ± 79.7 3 months after treatment, and that in the experimental group was 267.7 ± 64.6 3 months after treatment; The average number of injections of anti-VEGF therapy in the control group was 2.32 ± 1.15 times, and that in the experimental group was 1.74 ± 0.76 times. There was a significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion. Tongmai fuming decoction and anti-VEGF therapy have a synergistic effect in the treatment of neovascular ophthalmopathy, which can reduce the treatment times of anti-VEGF drugs.

Four new diphenyl ethers, named epicoccethers K-N (1-4), were purified from the fermentation medium of a fungus Epicoccum sorghinum derived from Myoporum bontioides, and identified through HR-ESI-MS and NMR spectral analysis. Except that compound 1 showed moderate antifungal activity against Penicillium italicum and Fusarium graminearum, the other three compounds showed stronger activity against them than triadimefon. All of them showed moderate or weak antibacterial activity towards Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli with O6 and O78 serotypes except that 3 was inactive to E. coli O6.

Circular RNA (circRNA) molecules are noncoding RNAs with ring-like structures formed by covalent bonds and are characterized by no 5′caps or 3′polyadenylated tails. Increasing evidence shows that circRNAs may play an important role in tumorigenesis and cancer metastasis. Circ-SHPRH originates from exons 26–29 of the SHPRH gene, and it is closely associated with human cancers. We searched PubMed, Web of Science, and Embase databases for relevant literatures until 24 December 2022. Eighteen research papers were included in this review, and 11 papers were selected for meta-analysis after screening. Three eligible published studies about circ-SHPRH were enrolled based on their tumor diagnosis aspect, 7 eligible published studies were related to overall survival (OS), and 3 eligible published studies were related to tumor grade. Many studies have shown that circ-SHPRH acts as a miRNA sponge or encodes a protein to regulate downstream genes or signal pathways, and exerts specific biological functions that affect the proliferation, invasion, and apoptosis of cancer cells. Meta-analysis showed that patients with high expression of circ-SHPRH had better OS (HR = 0.53, 95% CI 0.38–0.74, p-value p-value = 0.001). In addition, circ-SHPRH has potential diagnostic value (AUC = 0.8357). This review will help enrich our understanding of the role and mechanism of circ-SHPRH in human cancers. Circ-SHPRH has the potential to be a novel diagnostic and prognostic biomarker for various solid cancers.

Rice yield is greatly influenced by climatic factors and soil fertility in the location where it is grown, but information about the individual effects of climatic factors and soil fertility variables is difficult to distinguish because they are often not independent. The objective of this study was to demonstrate the effect of climatic factors on grain yield when soil fertility was not a confounding factor for explaining yield differences across two subtropical environments. Field and pot experiments with six rice cultivars were conducted in Deyang and Luzhou, Sichuan Province, China. We found that rice yield was higher in Deyang than in Luzhou by 7.0–16.8% for field experiments and by 57.6–87.4% for pot experiments. Biomass production rather than harvest index was responsible for the yield difference. Maximum and minimum temperatures and cumulative solar radiation (CSR) before heading (HD) were higher in Deyang than in Luzhou, whereas after HD, maximum and minimum temperatures were lower in Deyang than in Luzhou. Rice yield was more closely related to maximum and minimum temperatures and CSR before HD than to these parameters after HD. There was no difference in yield between soil types from Deyang and Luzhou within the same ecological condition. Thus, the yield difference between the two subtropical environments was mainly caused by the difference in climatic factors. The differences in biomass between Deyang and Luzhou were mostly due to variations in pre-heading crop growth rate (pre-CGR) and pre-heading radiation use efficiency (pre-RUE), which were induced by varying temperatures and CSR. We concluded that lower yield in Luzhou was associated with lower pre-CGR and pre-RUE. Our study suggests that developing rice cultivars with high pre-CGR and pre-RUE through a breeding program may also be a feasible approach to achieve high yield in subtropical environments.

Background Ribosomal protein S6 kinase 1 (S6K1) is a serine–threonine kinase that has two main isoforms: p70S6K (70-kDa isoform) and p85S6K (85-kDa isoform). p70S6K, with its upstream mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), has been shown to be involved in learning and memory and participate in the pathophysiology of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). However, the function of p85S6K has long been neglected due to its high similarity to p70S6k. The role of p85S6K in learning and memory is still largely unknown. Methods We fractionated the postsynaptic densities to illustrate the differential distribution of p85S6K and p70S6K. Coimmunoprecipitation was performed to unveil interactions between p85S6K and the GluA1 subunit of AMPA receptor. The roles of p85S6K in synaptic targeting of GluA1 and learning and memory were evaluated by specific knockdown or overexpression of p85S6K followed by a broad range of methodologies including immunofluorescence, Western blot, in situ proximity ligation assay, morphological staining and behavioral examination. Further, the expression level of p85S6K was measured in brains from AD patients and AD model mice. Results p85S6K, but not p70S6K, was enriched in the postsynaptic densities. Moreover, knockdown of p85S6K resulted in defective spatial and recognition memory. In addition, p85S6K could interact with the GluA1 subunit of AMPA receptor through synapse-associated protein 97 and A-kinase anchoring protein 79/150. Mechanistic studies demonstrated that p85S6K could directly phosphorylate GluA1 at Ser845 and increase the amount of GluA1 in synapses, thus sustaining synaptic function and spine densities. Moreover, p85S6K was found to be specifically decreased in the synaptosomal compartment in the brains of AD patients and AD mice. Overexpression of p85S6K ameliorated the synaptic deficits and cognitive impairment in transgenic AD model mice. Conclusions These results strongly imply a significant role for p85S6K in maintaining synaptic and cognitive function by interacting with GluA1. The findings provide an insight into the rational targeting of p85S6K as a therapeutic potential for AD.

Neutrophilic asthma (NA) is a severe type of steroid resistant asthma, and so far the immune mechanisms underlying NA are not clear. In this article, we performed a comprehensive assessment of Th-cell subsets and cytokines in severe NA patients. A total of 13 healthy individuals and 31 severe asthma patients were enrolled in this study. Refractory asthma patients were defined as those with eosinophilic asthma (EA, accounted for 32% of asthmatic patients) or NA (68%) according to sputum neutrophil/eosinophil counts or blood eosinophils. Th-cell subsets in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were analyzed by flow cytometry, and cytokines were detected by cytometric bead array (CBA). The results showed significant differences were observed in Th-cell phenotypes, where the number of Th1 cells were reduced and the numbers of Th2 cells were increased in NA and EA groups, respectively, when compared with healthy controls. Th17 cells were not strongly associated with severe neutrophilic asthma. The frequencies of mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells were strikingly reduced in severe asthma patients, especially in the NA group. This NA group also showed increased levels of IL-17A, IL-17F, TNF-α, and IL-6 in serum and increased levels of IL-17A, IL-17F, IFN-γ, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-5, IL-6, and IL-8 in sputum. In addition, sputum IL-6 was positively correlated with TNF-α, IFN-γ, IL-17A, and IL-8. Our results uncovered a controversial role for Th17 cells, which were reduced in severe asthma patients. Severe neutrophilic asthma was associated with a striking deficiency of MAIT cells and high pro-inflammatory cytokine levels.

Herein, we report a series of robust metal-organic cages (MOCs) featuring various functional groups, such as methyl and amine groups, for CO2/N2 separation. Significantly, the amine-group-functionalized MOC-QW-3-NH2 displays the best selective CO2 adsorption performance, as confirmed by single-component adsorption and transient breakthrough experiments. The distinct CO2 adsorption mechanism has been well studied via theoretical calculations, confirming that the amine groups play a vital role for efficiently selective CO2 adsorption resulting from hierarchical adsorbate-framework interaction.

Simplified cultivation methods for rice production offer considerable social, economic, and environmental benefits. However, limited information is available on yield components of rice grown using simplified cultivation methods in a rice-ratoon rice cropping system. A field experiment using two hybrid and two inbred rice cultivars was conducted to compare four cultivation methods (conventional tillage and transplanting, CTTP; conventional tillage and direct seeding, CTDS; no-tillage and transplanting, NTTP; no-tillage and direct seeding, NTDS) in a rice-ratoon rice system from 2017 to 2020. Main season yields for CTDS and NTDS were higher than for CTTP by 6.1% and 2.8%, respectively; whereas ratoon season yields for CTDS and NTDS were equal to or higher than for CTTP. Annual grain yields for CTDS and NTDS were higher than for CTTP by 4.4% and 3.2%, respectively. The higher CTDS and NTDS yields were associated with higher panicle numbers per m2 and biomass production. Rice hybrids had higher yields than inbred cultivars by 15.8–19.3% for main season and by 15.6–19.4% for ratoon season, which was attributed to long growth duration, high grain weight and biomass production. Our results suggest that CTTP can be replaced by CTDS and NTDS to maintain high grain yields and save labor costs. Developing cultivars with high grain weight could be a feasible approach to achieve high rice yields in the rice-ratoon rice cropping system in southwest China.

Encapsulating a certain guest molecule in an assigned molecular compartment and then endowing the corresponding potential remains a huge challenge for metal-organic frameworks. To this end, we demonstrate a good example, for the first time, based on an actinide-based MOF. The used MOF (namely, ECUT-300) shows a unique uranyl-TPE anionic skeleton with three distinct cages, viz., mesopore A (2.8 nm), mesopore B (2.0 nm), and micropore C (0.9 nm). Through solid-liquid reaction, a RhB+ molecule can be encapsulated into ECUT-300 with the exact location in mesopore B, whereas the encapsulation of a metal-organic cation of [Fe(tpy)2]3+ was observed with the location in micropore C, suggesting unprecedented classified encapsulation. Impressively, the potential of the resulting guest@MOF composites is also highly dependent on the type of encapsulated guest molecules, for example, white-light emission for RhB+ and selective adsorption of C2H2 over CO2 for [Fe(tpy)2]3+.

objectives: To explore the Relationship and Potential Mechanism of Tripterygium Wilfordii Hook F ( TwHF ) in the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis ( RA ) Based on Network Pharmacology and Molecular Docking. Methods:The main active ingredients and targets in TwHF were screened by searching the TCMSP database, combined with oral bioavailability and drug-like analysis, and then the drug-component-target maps were drawn by UniProt database and Cytoscape 3.9.0 software; the drug-target maps were searched in GeneCards, OMIM, TTD, pharmGKB, and drugbank databases. drugbank database to obtain the predicted targets of RA, draw Venn diagrams to derive the common targets of TwHF components and RA, and perform protein-protein interaction (PPI) network analysis, GO enrichment and KEGG pathway The potential binding activities between the active ingredients of TwHF and the targets were predicted by molecular docking technique. Results: TwHF had 7 active ingredients and 131 potential targets, RA had 4917 related targets, and TwHF and RA had 87 common targets. The target genes obtained by the PPI network include tumor necrosis factor (TNF), p53 tumor protein (TP53), vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA), etc.; GO enrichment and KEGG pathway analysis yielded 336 results and 121 signal pathways, respectively. Conclusion: TwHF therapy for RA may be a multi-component, multi-target, multi-signal pathway biological process, it may be able to regulate VEGFA, TNF, TP53 and other targets, play anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and other functions.

The chemical constituents from the branches and leaves of Artocarpus incisus were isolated and purified via silica gel, ODS, and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography as well as preparative HPLC. The chemical structures of all isolated compounds were identified in the light of their physicochemical properties, spectroscopic analyses, and comparisons of their physicochemical and spectroscopic data with the reported data in literature. As a result, 20 compounds were isolated and characterized from the 90% ethanol extract of the branches and leaves of A. incisus, which were identified as tephrosin(1), 6-hydroxy-6 a, 12 a-dehydrodeguelin(2), sarcolobin(3), lupiwighteone(4), 12-deoxo-12α-methoxyelliptone(5), 6 aα,12 aα-12 a-hydroxyelliptone(6), homopterocarpin(7), 3-hydroxy-8,9-dimethoxypterocarpan(8), pterocarpin(9), maackiain(10), medicarpin(11), calycosin(12), genistein(13), formononetin(14), 5-hydroxy-4',7-dimethoxy isoflavone(15), liquiritigenin(16), 4(15)-eudesmene-1β,7α-diol(17), ent-4(15)-eudesmene-1β,6α-diol(18), 1α-hydroxyisodauc-4-en-15-al(19), and guaianediol(20). Except compounds 13 and 16, all other compounds were isolated from the Artocarpus plants for the first time. Additionally, using MTS assay, compounds 1-20 were eva-luated for their anti-rheumatoid arthritis activities by measuring their anti-proliferative effects on synoviocytes in vitro. As a consequence, compounds 1-16 showed notable anti-rheumatoid arthritis activities, which displayed inhibitory effects on the proliferation of MH7 A synovial fibroblast cells, with the IC_(50) values in range of(9.86±0.09)-(218.07±1.96) μmol·L~(-1).

The endophytic fungus Nigrospora sphaerica S5 derived from the semi-mangrove plant Myoporum bontioides was fermented. Its metabolites were purified by column chromatography. Nine compounds were obtained and identified as terezine P(1), 3-(1-hydroxyethyl)-4-methyl dihydrofuran-2(3H)-one(2), methylhydroheptelidate(3), hydroheptelidic acid(4), 5, 7-dimethoxy-4, 6-dimethylphthalide(5),(3R,4S)-(-)-4-hydroxymellein(6), pestalopyrone(7), indole-3-formaldehyde(8) and p-hydroxybenzaldehyde(9) by spectroscopic techniques. Terezine P(1) was a new alkaloid belonging to the terezine class with a pyrazine ring. Compounds 2-7 were lactones, of which 3 and 4 belonged to sesquiterpenes. Compounds 8 and 9 were indole alkaloids and phenols, respectively. Compounds 3-6 were purified from Nigrospora sp. for the first time. These compounds showed different degrees of antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli of O6 serotype and E. coli of O78 serotype.

To investigate the possible causative factors of central core disease(CCD), the clinical features of a neonatal case with CCD and five patients in the pedigree line were analyzed for RYR1 gene variant.Medical and family history inquiries and detailed clinical examinations were performed in the proband. High-throughput sequencing technology was applied to analyze the gene variant of the proband, and Sanger sequencing was applied to verify the pedigree distribution of the variant.The whole exon sequencing results showed that the proband has a missense variant of c. 14591AC (p.Tyr4864Ser) in the RYR1 gene which was unreported previously; Sanger sequencing results showed that the father, grandfather, the eldest aunt and second aunt of the proband all carried the same variant. The c.14591 AC variant of RYR1 gene was predicted to be a likely pathogenic (PM2+PM5+PP1+PP3) according to the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics standards and guidelines.The RYR1 gene c.14591AC (p.Tyr4864Ser) variant may be the genetic cause of the pedigree and genetic testing helps to clarify the diagnosis. Identification of this variant has enriched the variant spectrum of the RYR1 gene.

In Rao et al. (Comptes Rendus Acad Sci Paris Ser I(342):191–196, 2006), Rao–Ruan–Xi solved an open question posed by David and Semmes and gave a complete Lipschitz classification of self-similar sets on $$\mathbb R$$ R with touching structure. In this short note, by applying a matrix rearrangeable condition introduced in Luo (J Lond Math Soc 99(2):428–446, 2019), we generalize their result onto the self-similar sets with overlapping structure.

Removal of trace SO2 from an SO2-containing product is now receiving increasing attention. However, designing a robust porous adsorbent with high SO2 adsorption capacity and good SO2/CO2 selectivity, as well as validity under humid conditions, is still a challenging task. Herein, we report a porous cage-based metal-organic framework, namely ECUT-111, which contains two distinct cages with apertures of 5.4 and 10.2 angstrom, respectively, and shows high a BET of up to 1493 m2/g and a pore volume of 0.629 cm3/g. Impressively, ECUT-111 enables an ultrahigh SO2 uptake of up to 11.56 mmol/g, exceeding most reported top-performing adsorbents for such a use. More importantly, complete separation of trace SO2 from SO2/CO2 and SO2/CO2/N2 mixtures, especially under humid conditions, and excellent recycle use were observed for ECUT-111, suggesting its superior application in desulfurization of SO2-containing products.

Hadoop has powerful data integration and analysis capabilities in resource extraction, while R has excellent statistical capabilities and resource personalized decomposition and display capabilities in data calling. This article will propose an integration plan for enterprise shared resource invocation based on Hadoop and R to further improve the efficiency of enterprise users' shared resource utilization, improve the efficiency of system operation, and bring enterprise users a higher level of user experience. First, we use Hadoop to extract the corporate shared resources required by corporate users from the nearby resource storage computer room and terminal equipment to increase the call rate, and use the R function attribute to convert the user’s search results into linear correlations, according to the correlation The strong and weak principles are displayed in order to improve the corresponding speed and experience. This article proposes feasible solutions to the shortcomings in the current enterprise shared resource invocation. We can use public data sets to perform personalized regression analysis on user needs, and optimize and integrate most relevant information.

An O2 self-evolving core-shell theranostic nanohybrid was developed by encapsulating a nanoenzyme cerium oxide (CeOx) in a metal-organic framework (MOF). The hybrid reveals a 9-fold higher apoptotic percentage than bare CeOx in a harsh hypoxic microenvironment through tandem homogenous catalysis. Simultaneously, the oxygen-promoted therapeutic efficiency was self-monitored by the hybrid with caspase-3 activation, paving the way for MOF-functionalized nanoenzymes in theranostics.

Lacking rapid and reliable microbial detection and sensing platforms, insufficient understanding towards microbial behaviors may generated or delayed precautions could be made, which greatly threatens human life and increase heavy financial burdens to the society. In this contribution, a dual-aggregation-induced emission luminogen (AIEgen) system is successfully developed for microbial imaging and metabolic status sensing. This system consists of two AIEgens (DCQA and TPE-2BA) that bear positive charged groups or boric acid groups, providing universal microbial staining ability and specific affinity to dead microbes, respectively. On the basis of the distinctive fluorescence response produced by the diverse interaction of AIEgens with live or dead microbes, this dual-AIEgen system can detect all the microbe and identify their viabilities. Furthermore, the morphology and metabolic status of a sessile biofilm can also be imaged and monitored. The system exhibits rapid labelling, suitable for various microbes, and good biocompatibilities.

Developing a rapid sensing platform with effective pesticide degradation capabilities integrated into a single structure and realistic application is an imminent challenge to ensure sustainable agriculture and food safety. Here, we described establishment of a bifunctional nanoscale porphyrinic metal-organic framework (MOF) probe serving as a sensor for detection of trace nitenpyram and as a photocatalyst to facilitate the pesticide degradation. Based on the signal turned "on-off", the strong fluorescence of the probe was quenched by the target, leading to the sensing range from 0.05 to 10.0 μg mL-1 and a detection limit of 0.03 μg mL-1. Given the versatile design by which the porphyrin photosensitizers were isolated subtly in the MOF to avoid self-quenching, the probe was endowed with sustainable and efficient pesticide photodegradation activity with a degradation rate of ∼95% for nitenpyram. Our work represents powerful all-in-one MOF-derived materials jointly for sensing and degrading pesticide residues in agricultural soils and other pesticide-contaminated environments.

Organic LPL (long-persistent luminescence) materials have sparked extensive research interest due to the ultralong-lived triplet states. Although numerous organic LPL materials have been reported, most of the triplet emission was static and monotonous. Therefore, LPL materials with dynamic triplet emission are urgently required. A triamino-s-triazine derivative 1 with dynamic LPL was fabricated. The single-crystal structure shows that the abundant intermolecular interactions and small free volume restrict the molecular motion and avoid the quenchers. Spectral and theoretical calculations upheld the existence of multiple excited states in 1, and the migration of electrons between multiple excited states is very sensitive to external stimuli. By modulating the stimulus, the residence of electrons in different triplet states can be manipulated to achieve RGB LPL. Importantly, blue LPL was achieved by manipulating the anti-Kasha emission. And the red LPL can still be observed at high temperature.

Background Bladder cancer (BCa) is a malignant tumor that occurs in the bladder mucosa with high mortality. Circular RNAs (circRNAs), newly discovered noncoding RNAs, are associated with the occurrence and development of BCa. However, the effects of circRNAs in BCa have not been fully elucidated. Through the GEO (Gene Expression Omnibus) database, an abnormally expressed circular RNA, circHGS (hsa_circ_0004721), was first identified in BCa. In this study, we clarified the roles and potential mechanism of circHGS in BCa progression. Methods The level of circHGS in tissue and cell was assessed by qRT-PCR. The proliferation, migration and invasion of BCa cells were detected by CCK8, colony formation assay, wound-healing assay, and Transwell assays, respectively. The interaction between circHGS/VEGFC and miR-513a-5p was detected by dual luciferase and qRT-PCR. VEGFC protein level was detected by western blotting. Nude mouse xenograft model was used to clarify the role of circHGS in tumor growth in vivo. Results CircHGS, originating from the HGS gene, is upregulated in BCa tissues compared to normal tissues. Functionally, silencing of circHGS apparently suppressed BCa cell proliferation, migration and invasion, but circHGS overexpression showed the opposite result. In vivo experiments also suggested that knockdown of circHGS suppressed tumor growth. Mechanistically, circHGS functions as a sponge of miR-513a-5p to elevate VEGFC expression and activate the AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, ultimately promoting BCa progression. Conclusion Our findings indicated that circHGS promotes BCa progression via the miR-513a-5p/VEGFC/AKT/mTOR pathway and can be a promising therapeutic target of BCa.

To compare the effect of combination of intradermal needling with oral motor therapy and simple oral motor therapy on salivation in children with cerebral palsy.A total of 60 children with salivation in cerebral palsy were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with intradermal needling (kept for 24 hours each time at Jiache [ST 6], Dicang [ST 4], tongue three needles, etc. ) and oral motor therapy, while the control group was only given oral motor therapy. The intradermal needling was performed 3 times a week, and oral motor therapy was performed 5 times a week, 4 weeks as a course, totally 3 courses of treatment were required. The classification of teacher drooling scale (TDS), drooling severity and Kubota water swallow test, dysphagia disorders survey (DDS) score were compared before treatment and after 4, 8 and 12 weeks of treatment in both groups, and the clinical efficacy was evaluated.After 8 weeks of treatment in the observation group and after 12 weeks of treatment in the two groups, the classification of TDS and drooling severity were improved (The combination of intradermal needling with oral motor therapy can improve salivation symptoms and swallowing function in children with cerebral palsy, the effect is better than oral motor therapy alone, and the effect is earlier.

A facile cotton fabric with a built-in TLC-SERS structure was fabricated to demonstrate an integrated TLC separation and SERS identification of mixed dyes. The soft and flexible SERS fabric was firstly fabricated using a simple method in which gold nanoparticles were in-situ synthesized on cotton fabrics by heating. β-CD was then grafted onto cotton fabric through crosslinking with citric acid in presence of sodium hypophosphite monohydrate via esterification reaction. The adsorption and TLC development performance of β-CD grafted fabrics were comprehensively investigated with two representative organic dyes, one anionic dye and one nonionic dye. Besides, the recyclable adsorption and separation performance were tested to evaluate its sustainable application prospects. It displayed less adsorption capacity loss and reusable separation performance after several cycles than the pristine cotton fabrics. Finally, two sets of mixed dyes were successfully separated on the TLC fabrics and then identified via on-site SERS according to their different migration distance. The developed TLC-SERS fabric shows the advantage of quick, easy to handle, low-cost, sensitive, and could be exploited in on-site study of synthetic dyes in art objects, textile and packaging products or forensic applications.

Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is the second major female genital malignancy. Genetic signatures may be an improved choice to predict the prognosis of EC patients. The relationship between pyroptosis and tumours has attracted much attention in recent years. Here, we constructed a new pyroptosis-related gene (PRG) signature for predicting the prognosis of EC. In this study, gene data and clinical information of EC patients were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). Following the identification of PRGs correlated with EC prognosis, we further investigate the bioinformatics functions of these PRGs by univariate Cox regression analysis and Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses. Then, we used the least absolute contraction and selection operator (LASSO) regression and multiple Cox regression analysis to construct a new PRG signature that contains seven PRGs (NFKB1, EEF2K, CTSV, MDM2, GZMB, PANX1, and PTEN) and performed the Kaplan-Meier (K-M) analysis, receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) analysis, and principal component analysis (PCA) to evaluate the prognostic value of our novel PRG signature. Finally, we assessed the correlations between pyroptosis and immune cells/checkpoints through the CIBERSORT tool and single-sample gene set enrichment analysis (ssGSEA). The result suggested that our signature was powerful in predicting EC prognosis and may play a part in assessing response to immunotherapy in EC patients. In conclusion, our study established a novel PRG signature for EC, which can be used as an effective prognostic marker in clinical practice in the future.
