A haploid of the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe expresses either the P or M mating-type, determined by the active, euchromatic, mat1 cassette. Mating-type is switched by Rad51-driven gene conversion of mat1 using a heterochromatic donor cassette, mat2-P or mat3-M. The Swi2-Swi5 complex, a mating-type switching factor, is central to this process by designating a preferred donor in a cell-type-specific manner. Swi2-Swi5 selectively enables one of two cis-acting recombination enhancers, SRE2 adjacent to mat2-P or SRE3 adjacent to mat3-M. Here, we identified two functionally important motifs in Swi2, a Swi6 (HP1 homolog)-binding site and two DNA-binding AT-hooks. Genetic analysis demonstrated that the AT-hooks were required for Swi2 localization at SRE3 to select the mat3-M donor in P cells, while the Swi6-binding site was required for Swi2 localization at SRE2 to select mat2-P in M cells. In addition, the Swi2-Swi5 complex promoted Rad51-driven strand exchange in vitro. Taken together, our results show how the Swi2-Swi5 complex would localize to recombination enhancers through a cell-type specific binding mechanism and stimulate Rad51-driven gene conversion at the localization site. Lead zirconate titanate (PZT) films with high Nb concentrations (6–13 mol%) were grown by chemical solution deposition. In concentrations up to 8 mol% Nb, the films self-compensate the stoichiometry; single phase films were grown from precursor solutions with 10 mol% PbO excess. Higher Nb concentrations induced multi-phase films unless the amount of excess PbO in the precursor solution was reduced. Phase pure perovskite films were grown with 13 mol% excess Nb with the addition of 6 mol% PbO. Charge compensation was achieved by creating lead vacancies when decreasing excess PbO level; using Kroger-Vink notation, NbTi• are ionically compensated by VPb″ to maintain charge neutrality in heavily Nb-doped PZT films. With Nb doping, films showed suppressed {100} orientation, the Curie temperature decreased, and the maximum in the relative permittivity at the phase transition broadened. The dielectric and piezoelectric properties were dramatically degraded due to increased quantity of the non-polar pyrochlore phase in multi-phase films; εr reduced from 1360 ± 8 to 940 ± 6, and the remanent d33,f value decreased from 112 to 42 pm/V when increasing the Nb concentration from 6 to 13 mol%. Property deterioration was corrected by decreasing the PbO level to 6 mol%; phase pure perovskite films were attained. εr and the remanent d33,f increased to 1330 ± 9 and 106 ± 4 pm/V, respectively. There was no discernable difference in the level of self-imprint in phase pure PZT films with Nb doping. However, the magnitude of the internal field after thermal poling at 150 °C increased significantly; the level of imprint was 30 kV/cm and 11.5 kV/cm in phase pure 6 mol% and 13 mol% Nb-doped films, respectively. The absence of mobile VO••, coupled with the immobile VPb″ in 13 mol% Nb-doped PZT films, leads to lower internal field formation upon thermal poling. For 6 mol% Nb-doped PZT films, the internal field formation was primarily governed by (1) the alignment of (VPb″−VO••)x and (2) the injection and subsequent electron trapping by Ti4+. For 13 mol% Nb-doped PZT films, hole migration between VPb″ controlled internal field formation upon thermal poling.

Термозбіжна етикетка на сьогоднішній день є одним із передових інноваційних рішень в галузі маркування паковань. Термозбіжна плівка має механічну міцність, еластичність і вологозахисні властивості, легко змінює лінійні розміри під впливом температури, що дозволяє їй набувати форми запаковуваної продукції, запобігає від несанкціонованого відкриття і підробки, а також привертає увагу покупців за рахунок оригінальних дизайнерських рішень. Технологія термозбіжного етикетування продукції використовується в фармацевтиці, косметології, харчовій, молочній, кондитерській промисловості. Для збереження продукцією свого належного товарного вигляду до закінчення терміну експлуатації, а також для можливості її декорування, друкування на термозбіжній етикетці виконується на внутрішній її стороні. Для нанесення зображення на термозбіжні етикетки в основному використовують технології глибокого і флексографічного друку. Специфіка технологічного процесу виготовлення термозбіжної етикетки обумовлює використання матеріалів з різними фізичними властивостями: прозорістю, блиском, товщиною, міцністю, коефіцієнтами тертя і розтягування, температурою, відсотком і часом усадки, що суттєво позначається на її кінцевій вартості. Найбільш широке застосування отримали ПЕТ і ПВХ-плівки. ПВХ-плівка деформується при більш низьких температурах і відрізняється більшою стійкістю до дії зовнішнього середовища, тоді як використання ПЕТ плівок дозволяє досягти кращих показників термоусадження і відповідно забезпечити вищу якість друкування. При нанесенні інформації на термозбіжну плівку можна використовувати фарби на водній основі, але тоді виникає ймовірність розмивання зображення при проходженні паковання через піч парового типу. Як альтернативу для друку на таких плівках застосовують фарби УФ закріплення, що дозволяє наносити багатоколірні складні зображення на будь-які види матеріалів, однак такий метод є досить дорогим, через високу вартість фарб та друкарського обладнання. Тому важливим є проведення системо-технічного, економічного аналізу та визначення найбільш рентабельної і ефективної технології виготовлення термозбіжних етикеток.

In piezoelectric transducer applications, it is common to use a unipolar operation signal to avoid switching of the polarisation and the resulting nonlinearities of micro-electromechanical systems. However, semi-bipolar or bipolar operation signals have the advantages of less leakage current, lower power consumption and no additional need of a DC−DC converter for low AC driving voltages. This study investigates the potential of using piezoelectric layers with an imprint for stable bipolar operation on the basis of epitaxially grown lead zirconate titanate cantilevers with electrodes made of a metal and metal oxide stack. Due to the manufacturing process, the samples exhibit high crystallinity, rectangular shaped hysteresis and a high piezoelectric response. Furthermore, the piezoelectric layers have an imprint, indicating a strong built-in field, which shifts the polarisation versus electric field hysteresis. To obtain the stability of the imprint, laser doppler vibrometry and switching current measurements were performed at different temperatures, yielding a stable imprinted electric field of −1.83 MV/m up to at least 100 °C. The deflection of the cantilevers was measured with a constant AC driving voltage while varying the DC bias voltage to examine the influence of the imprint under operation, revealing that the same high deflection and low nonlinearities, quantified by the total harmonic distortion, can be maintained down to low bias voltages compared to unipolar operation. These findings demonstrate that a piezoelectric layer with a strong imprint makes it possible to operate with low DC or even zero DC bias, while still providing strong piezoelectric response and linear behaviour.

Current trends in the printing industry depend entirely on the requirements and specific preferences of customers. Packaging must not only reliably protect the goods from dust and dirt, but also provide long-term storage of goods, protection from moisture and ultraviolet light, be durable and aesthetically pleasing. The technological process of lamination of packaging products is carried out in order to improve its appearance and barrier properties of materials, protect and enhance smoothness, give gloss or opacity. Lamination makes it possible to reliably protect cardboard packaging from contamination and mechanical damage, thus increasing its durability. Laminated cardboard packaging is resistant to external mechanical influences, especially in places of cuts and running. Production of high-quality packaging products, research of its operational stability, increasing the level of printing design in order to meet the high aesthetic demands of consumers is an urgent task of specialists in the printing industry. The operational and reproductive — graphic indicators of digital imprints obtained on popular brands of cardboard, presented on the Ukrainian market of printing consumables, before and after the process of their lamination with glossy and matte film were studied. In order to assess the quality and accuracy of color image reproduction, graphical dependences of gradation transmission of inks and their color coverage are built, which show that color coordinates of all studied samples are within regulated limits, and lamination of the surface of the prints, both matte and glossy polymer film, significantly improves their color coverage. In addition, the results of experimental studies of tear resistance confirmed that the lamination of imprints significantly affects the increase of their operational stability. It was also found that the characteristics of the used film affect the strength of the obtained laminated imprints., Сучасні тенденції розвитку поліграфічної галузі повністю залежать від вимог і специфічних вподобань покупців. Паковання повинно не тільки надійно захищати товар від пилу та забруднень, а й забезпечувати тривале зберігання товару, захист від вологи та ультрафіолету, бути міцним та естетично привабливим. Технологічний процес ламінування пакувальної продукції проводиться з метою покращення її зовнішнього вигляду та бар’єрних властивостей матеріалів, захисту та підвищення гладкості, надання глянцю або матовості. Ламінування дає можливість надійно захищати паковання з картону від забруднення та механічних пошкоджень, таким чином збільшуючи його довговічність. Паковання з ламінованого картону стійке до зовнішніх механічних впливів, особливо на місцях зрізів та бігування. Виготовлення якісної пакувальної продукції, дослідження її експлуатаційної стійкості, підвищення рівня поліграфічного оформлення з метою задоволення високих естетичних запитів споживачів є актуальним завданням фахівців поліграфічної галузі. В роботі досліджено експлуатаційні та репродукційно-графічні показники відбитків цифрового друку, отримані на популярних марках картону, представлених на українському ринку поліграфічних витратних матеріалів, до та після процесу їх ламінування глянцевою та матовою плівкою. З метою оцінювання якості та точності відтворення кольорового зображення побудовано графічні залежності градаційної передачі фарб та їх колірного охоплення, які свідчать, що координати кольору усіх досліджуваних зразків знаходяться в регламентованих межах, а ламінування поверхні відбитків як матовою, так глянцевою полімерною плівкою, значно покращує їх колірне охоплення. Крім того, результати проведених експериментальних досліджень стійкості до розриву підтвердили, що ламінування відбитків суттєво впливає на підвищення їх експлуатаційної стійкості. Також встановлено, що характеристики використовуваної плівки впливають на міцність отриманих в результаті ламінування відбитків.

The Holistic Situational Awareness - Decision Making (HSA-DM) program is researching ways to aid pilots via avionics essential to the Future Vertical Lift (FVL) rotor-wing platform. As pilots manage the new avionics that FVL will bring to the battlefield, automation assistance will be essential. This study’s goal is to determine to what extent automation reduces pilot cognitive workload particularly when performing communication tasks. The quantitative analysis is based on cognitive walkthroughs with active-duty helicopter pilots. Pilot interviews were also conducted to assess how tasks are completed, and more importantly, to ascertain the cognitive workload associated with those tasks. This information is implemented into computer models of a routine helicopter flight to accurately predict pilot workload during a mission. These models also predict which tasks would add the most value to pilots and FVL if automated mission tasks were implemented. The research indicates that by automating communication tasks for the pilot and copilot, workload is reduced to an optimal level. Based on these findings, monitor radio nets, adjust volume, input channel, select channel, and send JVMF messages should be automated. In addition, this analysis establishes a cost-effective, valid, and repeatable framework for future workload studies on automated tasks in FVL. Entre las ediciones surgidas de la imprenta áurea encontramos muestras evidentes de textos que trataron de saltarse la legislación existente en la Monarquía Hispánica. Así aparecen impresos falsificados fingiendo haber sido editados en Pamplona, lo que se comprueba no solo por los pies de imprenta y los colofones, sino también gracias a su análisis material. Se estudian estos casos para comprobar el grado de incidencia que tuvieron las ediciones falsas vinculadas al reino de Navarra y así actualizar el panorama bibliográfico local.= Among the editions that emerged from the golden press we found evident samples of texts that tried to bypass the existing legislation in the Hispanic Monarchy. This is how falsified forms appear, pretending to have been published in Pamplona, which is verified not only by the imprints and colophons, but also thanks to their material analysis. These cases are studied to check the degree of incidence of false editions linked to the kingdom of Navarre and thus update the local bibliographic panorama.

The world and in particular the Ukrainian markets dictate the gradual development of industry in the direction of creating goods in high-quality and reliable packaging, which must perform its basic functions, such as protecting the product inside and making it suitable for transport, so modern efficient and attractive packaging has been transformed into an active market tool. Packaging must be reasonably and functionally designed, properly printed, as it plays an increasingly important role in potential customers’ purchasing decisions. Therefore, the marketing aspect, which includes modern packaging, cannot be underestimated. Offset printing as the dominant global reproduction technology due to low cost and high quality of finished publications is most often used in the production of packaging products, as this way of reproducing information is best suited to obtain realistic, clear and high-quality images to meet the growing demand for decorative packaging. Continuous improvements in the technique and technology of offset printing, the emergence of new consumables require increased control at all stages of the production process, therefore, conducting experimental studies of the impact of changes in technological modes of printing on the quality of reproducible information is a necessary and urgent task. Experimental researches of influence of change of printing technological modes (namely changes in printing speed), by different inks on quality of tone reproduction of imprints by establishment of their reproduction and graphic indicators are carried out in work. As a result of the analysis of the constructed graphic dependences of change of gradation transfer of inks of investigated samples and color proofing the optimum speed of packings printing by an offset method is established.

This article will examine the tendencies and the perspectives in e-publishing in the world as well as Ukraine, again the principles for assignment of ISBNs to electronic publications. It is noted that e-book publishing demonstrates a high level of innovative development. Monitoring of domestic monographic electronic publications and the results of the analysis of the document flow of deposited publications received by the Book Chamber of Ukraine in accordance with current legislation show that publishers have difficulties in correctly interpreting certain provisions of current legal and regulatory documents. Often, publishers incorrectly assign ISBNs to electronic publications. Recommendations for the identification of monographic electronic publications in the ISBN system are given and examples are given as well. The problems of the participants of the domestic book market regarding electronic publications are outlined. The importance of complying with the requirements of legal and regulatory documents on publishing. Electronic publication published in accordance with current national standards has a much higher chance of quickly finding its way to the target audience., У статті визначено загальні тенденції й перспективи розвитку електронного книговидання у світі та Україні, розглянуто порядок надання ISBN електронним виданням. Зауважено, що електронне книговидання демонструє високий рівень інноваційного розвитку. Моніторинг вітчизняних неперіодичних електронних видань та результати аналізу документного потоку обов'язкових примірників видань, що надходять до Книжкової палати України відповідно до чинного законодавства, свідчать про те, що в процесі оформлення видань у видавців виникають труднощі з правильним трактуванням окремих положень чинних правових і нормативних документів. Часто видавці надають ISBN електронним виданням неправильно. Подано рекомендації щодо ідентифікації неперіодичних електронних видань у системі ISBN та наведено приклади. Окреслено проблеми, що виникають в учасників вітчизняного книжкового ринку щодо електронних видань; наголошено на важливості дотримання вимог правових та нормативних документів із видавничої справи, зокрема стосовно оформлення вихідних відомостей, адже видання, випущене відповідно до чинних національних стандартів, має значно вищі шанси швидко знайти шлях до цільової аудиторії.

[ES] En el presente trabajo ofrecemos enfoques artísticos personales en torno a las simbologías de la piel. Entendemos esta superficie dérmica como frontera simbólica entre cuerpo y entorno. La piel constituye nuestra identidad mostrada al otro e interfiere en las experiencias y relaciones con el mundo. Partiendo de la investigación empírica dentro del contexto de las Bellas Artes, empleamos la piel como matriz para crear nuevas huellas gráficas y ampliar la mirada de lo corpóreo. Debido a la fuerte carga simbólica que posee la piel, la práctica artística se ha servido de su simbolismo para abordar los aspectos relativos a la identidad y a nuestro rol como sujetos, tanto en nuestro entorno como en la sociedad. A lo largo del trabajo, revisaremos las obras de algunos artistas que hacen uso de la piel como herramienta de investigación y experimentación, para cuestionar los discursos y las disposiciones categorizadas en torno al cuerpo y la piel. En función de toda la investigación llevada a cabo, desarrollamos una producción experimental que se formaliza como proyecto para concurrir a la convocatoria anual de arte público de la Universidad de Valencia., [EN] In the present work we offer personal artistic approaches around the symbologies of the skin. We understand this skin surface as a symbolic border between body and environment. The skin constitutes our identity shown to the other and interferes in the experiences and relationships with the world. Starting from empirical research within the context of Fine Arts, we use the skin as a matrix to create new graphic traces and broaden the gaze of the corporeal. Due the strong symbolic load that the skin has, artistic practice has used its symbolism to address aspects related to identity and our role as subjects, both in our environment and society. Throughout the work, we will review the works of some artists who make use of the skin as a research and experimentation tool, to question the discourses and categorized dispositions around the body and the skin. Based on all the research carried out, we develop an experimental production that is formalized as a project to attend the annual call for public art at the University of Valencia.

Shrink label today is one of the leading innovative solutions in the field of packaging labeling. Heat-shrinkable film has mechanical strength, elasticity and moisture-proof properties, easily changes linear dimensions under the influence of temperature, which allows it to take the form of packaged products, prevents unauthorized opening and forgery, and attracts buyers through original design solutions. The technology of heat-shrinkable labelling of products is used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetology, food, dairy, confectionery industries. To preserve the product’s proper appearance until the end of its service life, as well as to be able to decorate it printing on the shrink label is performed on its inner side. Gravure and flexographic printing technologies are mainly used to apply images to shrink labels. The specifics of the technological process of manufacturing a shrink label determines the use of materials with different physical properties: transparency, gloss, thickness, strength, coefficients of friction and tensile, temperature, percentage and time of shrinkage, which significantly affects its final cost. The most widely used are PET and PVC films. PVC film is deformed at lower temperatures and is more resistant to the external environment, while the use of PET films allows to achieve better thermal shrinkage and, accordingly, to ensure higher print quality. When applying the information to the heat-shrinkable film, it can be used water-based inks, but then there is a possibility of blurring of the image when passing the package through the steam furnace. As an alternative to printing on such films, UV fixing inks are used, which allows to apply multi-color complex images on any type of material, but this method is quite expensive due to the high cost of inks and printing equipment. Therefore, it is important to conduct system-technical, economic analysis and determine the most cost-effective and efficient technology for the production of shrink labels., Термозбіжна етикетка на сьогоднішній день є одним із передових інноваційних рішень в галузі маркування паковань. Traditional archaeological conceptions considered materials as inert and passive, capable of obtaining shape only through the action of a human agent. New approaches lead us to rethink these links that underlie our past interpretations, basically that materials and its properties are constantly changing and in each new articulation new properties will emerge. Following this line, the tour through the different materialities of the plants involved in the manufacture of a basket is based on the study of the marks of its tracing in the ceramics of the pre-colonial societies of the central region of Argentina (Córdoba). Through a situational analysis, relational and rhythm-analytic, some of the interpretative potentialities of an approach that considers the materials from another perspective will be shown. Las concepciones arqueológicas tradicionales suelen considerar a los materiales como inertes y pasivos, capaces de obtener forma sólo mediante la acción de un agente humano. Nuevos enfoques llevan a repensar estos vínculos, que subyacen en nuestras interpretaciones del pasado, al considerar a los materiales en constante cambio y dar cuenta de cómo emergen sus propiedades. Siguiendo este razonamiento, se presenta el recorrido por las diferentes materialidades de las plantas implicadas en la fabricación de una canasta a partir del estudio de las improntas de su trazado en la cerámica de las sociedades precoloniales de la región central de Argentina (Córdoba). A través de un análisis situacional, relacional y ritmoanalítico, serán mostradas algunas de las potencialidades interpretativas de un enfoque que considere los materiales desde otra perspectiva. As concepções arqueológicas tradicionais consideram que os materiais são inertes e passivos, capazes de obter forma somente pela ação de um agente humano. Novas abordagens levam a repensar esses vínculos que fundamentam nossas interpretações do passado, basicamente, que os materiais e suas propriedades estão em constante mudança e a cada nova articulação surgirão novas propriedades. Nessa linha, apresenta os caminhos pelas diferentes materialidades das plantas envolvidas na construção de uma cesta a partir do estudo das impressões do trançado na cerâmica de sociedades pré-coloniais da Argentina central (Córdoba). Por meio de análises situacionais, relacionais e análises rítmicas, as potencialidades interpretativas de uma abordagem que considere os materiais de outra perspectiva.

This work verified the use of cytological diagnosis, as a method of identification of disorders in dogs and cats domiciled in the municipality of Barra-BA seen at the University Veterinary Hospital (HVU) of the Federal University of Western Bahia (UFOB). The study was conducted from the analysis of cytological samples related to clinical cases seen in the years 2018 and 2019. A total of 711 animals were seen, of these counted 105 (101 canines and 4 felines - 59 females and 46 males) requests for the cytological examination. Most of the animals (28.57%) were 6 to 10 years old, with the prevalence of No Defined Breed animals (62.38%). The inflammatory processes were diagnosed in 43.80% of the cases, identified as having infectious cause in 86.90% (30% by Leishmania spp., 27.5% bacterial infections, 27.5% by the yeast Malassezia spp. and other 15% by association of this fungus with bacteria). Inflammatory processes of non-infectious origin were recorded in 13.10% cases (84% infiltrated by inflammatory cells and 16% as lick dermatitis). Non-inflammatory processes were observed in 19.05% of the samples, 95% of which were of neoplastic origin, (63.15% TVT, 21.05% Squamous Cell Carcinoma, 10.05% Adenocarcinoma and 5.30% Trichoblastoma). Among the non-inflammatory and non-neoplastic processes (5%) an epidermal cyst was diagnosed (100%). The applicability of cytological diagnosis in dogs and cats denotes importance since it helps veterinarians in confirming clinical suspicions, allowing the issuance of diagnostic reports, establishment of treatments and epidemiological data that enable the implementation of control measures of diseases. Este estudio verificó el uso del diagnóstico citológico, como método de identificación de trastornos en perros y gatos domiciliados en el municipio de Barra-BA atendidos en el Hospital Veterinario Universitario (HVU) de la Universidad Federal del Oeste de Bahía (UFOB). El estudio se realizó a partir del análisis de muestras citológicas relacionadas con casos clínicos atendidos en los años 2018 y 2019. Se atendieron 711 animales, de los cuales se contabilizaron 105 (101 caninos y 4 felinos - 59 hembras y 46 machos) solicitudes de examen citológico. La mayoría de los animales (28,57%) tenían entre 6 y 10 años, prevaleciendo los animales Sin Raza Definida (62,38%). Los procesos inflamatorios se diagnosticaron en el 43,80% de los casos, identificándose como causa infecciosa en el 86,90% (30% por Leishmania spp., 27,5% infecciones bacterianas, 27,5% por la levadura Malassezia spp. y otro 15% por asociación de este hongo con bacterias). Los procesos inflamatorios de origen no infeccioso se registraron en el 13,10% de los casos (el 84% infiltrados por células inflamatorias y el 16% como dermatitis por lamido). Se observaron procesos no inflamatorios en el 19,05% de las muestras, de las cuales el 95% eran de origen neoplásico, (63,15% TVT, 21,05% Carcinoma de células escamosas, 10,05% Adenocarcinoma y 5,30% Tricoblastoma). Entre los procesos no inflamatorios y no neoplásicos (5%) se diagnosticó un quiste epidérmico (100%). La aplicabilidad del diagnóstico citológico en perros y gatos denota importancia una vez, ayudó a los médicos veterinarios en la confirmación de las sospechas clínicas, permitiendo la emisión de informes diagnósticos, establecimiento de tratamientos y datos epidemiológicos que hacen posible la implantación de medidas de control de las enfermidades. O estudo foi realizado a partir da análise de amostras citológicas relativas aos casos clínicos atendidos nos anos de 2018 e 2019. Foram atendidos 711 animais, desses contabilizadas 105 (101 caninos e 4 felinos - 59 fêmeas e 46 machos) solicitações do exame citológico. A maioria dos animais (28,57%) apresentavam de 6 a 10 anos, prevalecendo os animais Sem Raça Definida (62,38%). Os processos inflamatórios foram diagnosticados em 43,80% dos casos, identificados como de causa infecciosa em 86,90% (30% por Leishmania spp., 27,5% infecções bacterianas, 27,5% pela levedura Malassezia spp. e outros 15% por associação deste fungo a bactérias). This descriptive series evaluated a series of 20 cases of patients with an anatomopathological diagnosis of infiltrating ductal carcinoma treated in the area of ​​Oncological Surgery of the Hospital of High Complexity "Virgen de la Puerta" EsSalud, La Libertad - Peru, during the period February 2017 until January 2018. Findings: The sensitivity and specificity of the sentinel lymph node imprint was 75% respectively. The positive and negative predictive value was 67% and 82% respectively. The positive and negative likelihood ratio was 3.0 and 0.33. The Kappa index was 0.2 of considered as a concordance index. Conclusions. The sentinel lymph node technique is a good alternative for the management of breast cancer, since it avoids unnecessary surgical interventions. Despite the great potential of Hf0.5Zr0.5O2 (HZO) ferroelectrics, reliability issues, such as wake-up, fatigue, endurance limitations, imprint and retention loss, impede the implementation of HZO to nonvolatile memory devices. Herein, a study of the reliability properties in HZO-based stacks with the conventional TiN top electrode and Ru electrode, which is considered a promising alternative to TiN, is performed. An attempt to distinguish the mechanisms underlying the wake-up, fatigue and retention loss in both kinds of stacks is undertaken. Overall, both stacks show pronounced wake-up and retention loss. Moreover, the fatigue and retention loss were found to be worsened by Ru implementation. The huge fatigue was suggested to be because Ru does not protect HZO against oxygen vacancies generation during prolonged cycling. The vacancies generated in the presence of Ru are most likely deeper traps, as compared to the traps formed at the interface with the TiN electrode. Implementing the new procedure, which can separate the depolarization-caused retention loss from the imprint-caused one, reveal a rise in the depolarization contribution with Ru implementation, accompanied by the maintenance of similarly high imprint, as in the case with the TiN electrode. Results show that the mechanisms behind the reliability issues in HZO-based capacitors are very electrode dependent and simple approaches to replacing the TiN electrode with the one providing, for example, just higher remnant polarization or lower leakages, become irrelevant on closer examination.

Epigenetics play a vital role in early embryo development. Offspring conceived via assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs) have a three times higher risk of epigenetic diseases than naturally conceived children. However, investigations into ART-associated placental histone modifications or sex-stratified analyses of ART-associated histone modifications remain limited. In the current study, we carried out immunohistochemistry, chip-sequence analysis, and a series of in vitro experiments. Our results demonstrated that placentas from intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), but not in vitro fertilization (IVF), showed global tri-methylated-histone-H3-lysine-4 (H3K4me3) alteration compared to those from natural conception. However, for acetylated-histone-H3-lysine-9 (H3K9ac) and acetylated-histone-H3-lysine-27 (H3K27ac), no significant differences between groups could be found. Further, sex -stratified analysis found that, compared with the same-gender newborn cord blood mononuclear cell (CBMC) from natural conceptions, CBMC from ICSI-boys presented more genes with differentially enriched H3K4me3 (n = 198) than those from ICSI-girls (n = 79), IVF-girls (n = 5), and IVF-boys (n = 2). We also found that varying oxygen conditions, RNA polymerase II subunit A (Polr2A), and lysine demethylase 5A (KDM5A) regulated H3K4me3. These findings revealed a difference between IVF and ICSI and a difference between boys and girls in H3K4me3 modification, providing greater insight into ART-associated epigenetic alteration.

The principle of image creating by offset printing, as is known, is based on physicochemical processes, which are provided by selective wetting of printing elements with ink, and blanks — with water (aqueous solutions), that is two substances that are the main in this printing method. Consistently high quality of imprints in offset printing is ensured by maintaining the stability of the standard printing environment — the balance of ink/wetting solution. The often-underestimated effect of moisture on print quality actually plays a crucial role in achieving optimal results printed products reproduction by offset method. Therefore, it is advisable to conduct research to determine the impact of humidification systems and processes on the quality of printing design of publications; this is supported by the constant improvement of the composition of modern concentrates of humidifying solutions and designs of humidifiers for offset printing. In addition, over the past few years, the number of scientific and practical developments in control, regulation, maintenance modes and structural elements of humidification systems has increased significantly, which indicates the priority of this area of flat offset printing with humidification of printing plates. The main task of the humidifier is to ensure the application of a uniform thin layer of humidifier on the printing plate. It is the uniform layer that determines the interaction of the solution with the ink on the plate surface, which is not always normalized and stabilized. In this paper we present a brief analysis and classification of known methods of applying wetting solution, and also the results of experimental studies of the influence of technological parameters of printing, namely changes in the type of wetting apparatus and properties of printed material on the quality and accuracy of reproduction of the color image by construction of graphic dependences and definition of reproduction-graphic indicators of offset imprints., Незмінно високі показники якості відбитків в офсетному друці забезпечуються підтриманням стабільності стандартного друкарського середовища — балансу фарба/зволожуючий розчин. У роботі представлено короткий аналіз та класифікація відомих методів нанесення зволожувального розчину, а також наведено результати експериментальних досліджень впливу технологічних параметрів друкування, а саме зміни типу зволожувального апарату та властивостей задруковуваного матеріалу на якість та точність відтворення кольорового зображення шляхом побудови графічних залежностей та визначення репродукційно-графічних показників офсетних відбитків.

A method was developed for creating single well-defined surface asperities using an imprint technique. The proposed method enables:•Creation of well-defined micrometre high asperities•Creation of asperities which survived more than 35 million EHL contact cycles•Damage tracing thanks to the possibility to control the damage initiation sites.The technique is based on rolling a hard disc with indents against a soft disc for creating single surface asperities. The contact pressure causes plastic deformation forcing material into the indents to create the asperities. The height of the asperities can be controlled by adjusting the applied force. After initial reshaping during the run-in process, the asperities were strong enough to survive more than 35 million elastohydrodynamic lubrication cycles, which should be of great interest for the researchers who investigate rolling contact fatigue experimentally. The method could also aid the research on the run-in process by enabling tracing the development of specific surface defects. In this paper we present diverse archaeological evidence of a building aspect that has not been addressed up to now by the research on the Late Prehistory of the Iberian Peninsula and little known in general: the use of vegetal woven mats integrated in structures as just another construction material. These have been recovered from various prehistoric sites from the Southeast of the Iberian Peninsula through the study of daub fragments. The main evidence comes from the chalcolithic site of Les Moreres (Crevillente, Alicante), along with other signs coming from five enclaves, the Neolithic site of Los Limoneros II (Elche, Alicante) and those of the Bronze Age Caramoro I (Elche, Alicante), Cabezo del Polovar and Terlinques (Villena, Alicante), as well as Lloma de Betxí (Paterna, Valencia). Those findings highlight the highly informative potential of hardened mud pieces and the necessity of considering more elements as prospective building materials from Prehistoric dates. En este artículo presentamos diversas evidencias arqueológicas de un aspecto de las prácticas arquitectónicas no abordado hasta ahora en la investigación acerca de la Prehistoria Reciente de la Península Ibérica y muy poco conocido en general: el empleo de esteras vegetales integradas en las edificaciones como un material constructivo más. Estas proceden de distintos yacimientos prehistóricos del SE peninsular y han sido obtenidas a partir del estudio de fragmentos constructivos de barro endurecido. Las principales evidencias proceden del núcleo calcolítico de Les Moreres (Crevillente, Alicante), a lo que se unen los indicios pertenecientes a otros cinco enclaves, el neolítico de Los Limoneros II (Elche, Alicante) y los de la Edad del Bronce de Caramoro I (Elche, Alicante), Cabezo del Polovar y Terlinques (Villena, Alicante), así como la Lloma de Betxí (Paterna, Valencia). Dichos hallazgos ponen de manifiesto el gran potencial informativo de este tipo de materialidad y la necesidad de ampliar el abanico de los elementos considerados como susceptibles de ser utilizados para construir desde cronologías prehistóricas.

The creative process makes use of the imprint as an instrument that straightforwardly alludesto the emotional sensitivity of the observer. Sculpture, being a three dimensional creation, makes useof the imprint by means of the process called «lifecasting», which reproduces precisely the element’svolume and textures, regardless of whether it is a living or lifeless element, an organic element or aninorganic one. This article presents the results obtained when using lifecasting to create the liturgicalfurnishings for a Temple of the Christian Catholic faith.Funded by the Bishopric of Astorga, we argue in this article the conceptual framework behind thecreation of a work of art that must cater for the needs of the different celebrations for which the placewhere it sits is built, while blending in with an innovative architecture that is concordant with the 21stcentury it belongs to and, simultaneously, integrating the observer in the meaning of the ritual throughthe evocative power of the imprint captured in the works. El proceso creativo se ha servido de la huella como un instrumento que alude directamentea la sensibilidad emocional del espectador. En la escultura como creación tridimensional, la huellaha sido utilizada a lo largo de la historia del arte a través de un procedimiento denominado vaciadodel natural, reproduciendo con fidelidad volumen y texturas de cualquier elemento de la naturaleza,sea vivo o inerte, orgánico o inorgánico. Este trabajo presenta los resultados de la aplicación de esteprocedimiento en la creación del mobiliario litúrgico de un templo de confesión cristiana católica.Financiado por el Obispado de Astorga, argumentamos conceptualmente cómo se desarrolla la creaciónde una obra que debe ajustarse a las necesidades de las diversas celebraciones para las que el lugar esconstruido, integrarse en una arquitectura innovadora coherente con el siglo XXI en que se erige ycumplir la función emotiva y sensorial de integrar al espectador en el sentido del ritual al que asiste através del poder evocador de la huella registrada.

The world and in particular the Ukrainian markets dictate the gradual development of industry in the direction of creating goods in high-quality and reliable packaging, which must perform its basic functions, such as protecting the product inside and making it suitable for transport, so modern efficient and attractive packaging has been transformed into an active market tool. Packaging must be reasonably and functionally designed, properly printed, as it plays an increasingly important role in potential customers’ purchasing decisions. Therefore, the marketing aspect, which includes modern packaging, cannot be underestimated. Offset printing as the dominant global reproduction technology due to low cost and high quality of finished publications is most often used in the production of packaging products, as this way of reproducing information is best suited to obtain realistic, clear and high-quality images to meet the growing demand for decorative packaging. Continuous improvements in the technique and technology of offset printing, the emergence of new consumables require increased control at all stages of the production process, therefore, conducting experimental studies of the impact of changes in technological modes of printing on the quality of reproducible information is a necessary and urgent task. Experimental researches of influence of change of printing technological modes (namely changes in printing speed), by different inks on quality of tone reproduction of imprints by establishment of their reproduction and graphic indicators are carried out in work. As a result of the analysis of the constructed graphic dependences of change of gradation transfer of inks of investigated samples and color proofing the optimum speed of packings printing by an offset method is established., Світовий та зокрема український ринки диктують поступовий розвиток промисловості в напрямі створення товарів у якісному та надійному пакованні, тому сучасне ефективне та привабливе паковання трансформувалось в активний ринковий інструмент. Офсетний друк як домінуюча світова технологія репродукування через низьку вартість та високу якість готових видань найчастіше використовується і у виробництві пакувальної продукції. Постійні вдосконалення техніки та технології офсетного друку, поява нових витратних матеріалів вимагають посилення контролю на всіх стадіях виробничого процесу. В роботі проведено експериментальні дослідження впливу зміни технологічних режимів друкування різними фарбами на якість тоновідтворення відбитків шляхом встановлення їх репродукційно-графічних показників. В результаті проведеного аналізу побудованих графічних залежностей зміни градаційної передачі фарб досліджуваних взірців і кольоропроби встановлено оптимальну швидкість друкування паковань офсетним способом.

The COVID-19 pandemic response has caused disruption to healthcare services globally, including to routine immunizations. To understand immunization service interruptions specifically for maternal, neonatal and infant vaccines, we captured the local experiences of members of the Immunising Pregnant Women and Infants Network (IMPRINT) by conducting an online survey over 2-weeks in April 2020. IMPRINT is a global network of clinicians and scientists working in maternal and neonatal vaccinology. The survey included discrete questions to quantify the extent of disruption as well as free-text options to explore the reasons behind reported disruptions. Of the 48 responses received, the majority (75%) were from low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs). Of all respondents, 50% or more reported issues with vaccine delivery within their country. Thematic analysis identified three key themes behind immunization disruption: &ldquo, access&rdquo, issues, e.g., logistical barriers, &ldquo, provider&rdquo, issues, e.g., staff shortages and user &ldquo, concern&rdquo, about attending immunization appointments due to COVID-19 fear. Access and provider issues were more commonly reported by LMIC respondents. Overall, respondents reported uncertainty among parents and healthcare providers regarding routine immunization. We conclude that further quantification of routine vaccination disruption is needed, alongside health service prioritization, logistical support and targeted communication strategies to reinforce routine immunizations during the COVID-19 response.

One of the dominant segments of the packaging industry is packaging made of laminated microcorrugated cardboard, because such qualitative and presentable packaging are necessary in various areas of the industry: for packing of cosmetics, clothes, shoes, ware, souvenirs and gifts, electric devices, and also foodstuff and medicines. However, applying a high-quality printed image to a relatively thick material is a technically difficult task. Therefore, in order to achieve the maximum quality of production of such packages, it is envisaged to glue a pre-printed liner from ordinary cardboard to the base of 2-layer microcorrugated cardboard with the result of 3-layer microcorrugated cardboard. The use of high-quality consumables (cardboard, inks, adhesive compositions) and equipment allows you to get the finished product with a spectacular appearance and excellent adhesion of the coating to the base. The use of digital technologies, in addition to the traditional method of applying images by offset printing, significantly expands the design possibilities and range of packaging made of laminated microcorrugated cardboard. Production of high-quality packaging from laminated microcorrugated cardboard as an environmentally friendly material and increase the level of their printing design in order to meet the aesthetic demands of consumers, are urgent tasks of industry professionals.The paper presents the results of the study of the influence of the printing method on the quality of laminated microcorrugated cardboard packaging, obtained by determining the reproduction and graphic parameters of liners printed by offset and digital methods; technological and operational characteristics of laminated microcorrugated cardboard, which provided for determining the force of its stratification and bond strength. Застосування цифрових технологій, крім традиційного способу нанесення зображення офсетним способом друку, значно розширює можливості дизайну та гамму паковань з кашированого мікрогофрокартону.В роботі представлено результати дослідження впливу способу друкування на якість паковань з кашированого мікрогофрокартону, отримані шляхом визначення репродукційно-графічних показників лайнерів, віддрукованих офсетним та цифровим способом; технологічних та експлуатаційних характеристик кашированого мікрогофрокартону, які передбачали визначення зусилля його розшарування і міцності склеювання. На основі отриманих результатів експериментальних досліджень сформульовано рекомендації вибору витратних матеріалів та способу нанесення якісного друкованого зображення на паковання з кашированого мікрогофрокартону.

В роботі досліджено репродукційно-графічні показники лайнерів, задрукованих офсетним способом друку, розглянуто процес їх каширування до мікрогофрокартону з використанням клейового апарату нової конструкції з подальшим визначенням експлуатаційних показників пакувального матеріалу. В результаті досліджень було побудовано графічні залежності, які дозволяють оцінити якість відтворення кольорового зображення, віддрукованого офсетним способом друку та експлуатаційну стійкість кашированого мікрогофрокартону. Проведені експериментальні дослідження дозволили встановити залежність міцнісних характеристик кашированого мікрогофрокартону від технологічних параметрів процесу каширування. The reproductive and graphic indicators of liners printed by offset printing are investigated in this work. It was considered the process of their laminating to micro-corrugated cardboard using the adhesive device of a new construction with the further determination of the operational parameters of the packaging material. As a result of the research, graphic dependencies were constructed that allow us to assess the quality reproduction of a color image in the offset printing and the operational stability of laminated micro-corrugated cardboard. В работе исследованы репродукционно-графические показатели лайнеров, запечатанных офсетным способом печати, рассмотрен процесс их каширования к микрогофрокартону с использованием клеевого аппарата новой конструкции с последующим определением эксплуатационных показателей упаковочного материала. В результате исследований были построены графические зависимости, позволяющие оценить качество воспроизведения цветного изображения, отпечатанного офсетным способом печати и эксплуатационную стойкость кашированного микрогофрокартона. Проведенные экспериментальные исследования позволили установить зависимость прочностных характеристик кашированного микрогофрокартона от технологических параметров процесса каширования.

Art historian David Joselit has recently argued that the task of art today is resist ‘the allure’ of information’s ‘transparency’. This places a specific emphasis on photographic images. The ease of their production and ubiquity of use ─ as a crucial element in economic, social and cultural acceleration processes tied to information ─ has increased the implicit transparency that has arguably been one of photography’s most prominent attributes. The article suggests that printmaking can provide valuable procedural, aesthetic and conceptual means in the questioning of the photographic image’s assumed transparency and thereby contribute to its criticality. Drawing on the concept of the ‘imprint’ – as developed by the French art historian Georges Didi-Huberman in a still untranslated study – the article undertakes an analysis of a specific mode of contemporary printmaking, namely the woodcut. It is proposed that the distinctive methods developed by the two chosen artists, Brook Andrew and Christiane Baumgartner, present a unique manifestation of the imprint that ─ closely related to the artists’ thematic concerns ─ constitutes a critical enquiry of photography’s transparency and thus enhances its socio-cultural potential of critique.

This paper documents a strong delayed response to COVID-19, which is caused by the SARS-CoV2 virus in countries that did not encounter the SARS disease in 2003. The SARS outbreak was caused by a similar virus, SARS-CoV-1. Individuals in countries that developed SARS infections in 2003 search more intensively for COVID-19-related information on Google during the first outbreak of COVID-19 in Wuhan, China, in late January 2020. Governments in countries that have not experienced SARS respond significantly slower in implementing containment measures to combat COVID-19 than countries that have experienced SARS. Furthermore, the timely responses of individuals and governments are more pronounced in countries that reported deaths caused by SARS, which left deeper imprints. Consequently, COVID-19 case numbers and mortalities have been substantially higher in countries that did not experience SARS deaths. Our findings suggest that the imprint of the early experience of similar viruses is a fundamental mechanism underlying timely responses to COVID-19.

Тому для досягнення максимальної якості виготовлення таких паковань передбачається приклеювання до основи з 2-шарового мікрогофрокартону попередньо задрукованого лайнера із звичайного картону з отриманням у результаті 3-шарового мікрогофрокартону. Застосування цифрових технологій, крім традиційного способу нанесення зображення офсетним способом друку, значно розширює можливості дизайну та гамму паковань з кашированого мікрогофрокартону. В роботі представлено результати дослідження впливу способу друкування на якість паковань з кашированого мікрогофрокартону, отримані шляхом визначення репродукційно-графічних показників лайнерів, віддрукованих офсетним та цифровим способом; технологічних та експлуатаційних характеристик кашированого мікрогофрокартону, які передбачали визначення зусилля його розшарування і міцності склеювання. One of the dominant segments of the packaging industry is packaging made of laminated microcorrugated cardboard, because such qualitative and presentable packaging are necessary in various areas of the industry: for packing of cosmetics, clothes, shoes, ware, souvenirs and gifts, electric devices, and also foodstuff and medicines. However, applying a high-quality printed image to a relatively thick material is a technically difficult task. Therefore, in order to achieve the maximum quality of production of such packages, it is envisaged to glue a pre-printed liner from ordinary cardboard to the base of 2-layer microcorrugated cardboard with the result of 3-layer microcorrugated cardboard. The use of high-quality consumables (cardboard, inks, adhesive compositions) and equipment allows you to get the finished product with a spectacular appearance and excellent adhesion of the coating to the base. The use of digital technologies, in addition to the traditional method of applying images by offset printing, significantly expands the design possibilities and range of packaging made of laminated microcorrugated cardboard. Production of high-quality packaging from laminated microcorrugated cardboard as an environmentally friendly material and increase the level of their printing design in order to meet the aesthetic demands of consumers, are urgent tasks of industry professionals. The paper presents the results of the study of the influence of the printing method on the quality of laminated microcorrugated cardboard packaging, obtained by determining the reproduction and graphic parameters of liners printed by offset and digital methods; technological and operational characteristics of laminated microcorrugated cardboard, which provided for determining the force of its stratification and bond strength. Based on the obtained results of experimental research, recommendations for the choice of consumables and a method of applying a high-quality printed image on a package of laminated microcorrugated cardboard.

A method was developed for creating single well defined surface asperities using an imprint technique. The proposed method can be used to create asperities of different heights and widths in the micrometre range. The technique for creating single surface asperities is based on rolling a hard disc with indents against a soft disc. The contact pressure will cause plastic deformation forcing material into the indents to create the asperities. The height of the asperities can be controlled by adjusting the applied force. After initial reshaping during the run-in process, the asperities were strong enough to survive more than 35 million EHL contact cycles. The method should thus be of great interest for the researchers investigating rolling contact fatigue experimentally. The method could also aid the research of the run in process by enabling tracing the development of specific surface defects. Context: Intraoperative pathological assessment provides valuable information in a patient's diagnosis and management. Touch imprint/crush cytology is simple, rapid, and cost-effective. Also, imprint smears give excellent cytomorphology. Aims: To assess the utility and feasibility of intraoperative cytology technique as a rapid and reliable method for diagnosis and to compare sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy with histopathology. Materials and Methods: Cytology smears were collected intraoperatively from 52 cases of suspected/proven malignancy. From tumors, surgical margins, lymph nodes; crush, imprint, and scrape smears were prepared. Smears were taken from specimens before formalin fixation and stained with rapid ultrafast Papanicolaou stain. The slides were compared with the histopathology report which is the gold standard. Statistical Analysis: Sensitivity, specificity, and diagnostic accuracy were used for statistical analysis. Results: Intraoperative cytology report could be given in time for the surgeon to modify margins of resection and the extent of lymph node dissection. It helps the surgeon to modify surgery. The diagnostic test evaluation showed satisfactory results. Conclusion: Intraoperative imprint/crush cytology is a simple, inexpensive, rapid, accurate cytodiagnostic technique in the diagnosis of cancer where frozen section facilities are not available. It can also be used to assess the clearance of surgical margins.

Study question Which outcome measures are reported in RCTs for IVF? Summary answer Many combinations of numerator and denominator are in use, and are often employed in a manner that compromises the validity of the study. What is known already The choice of numerator and denominator governs the meaning, relevance and statistical integrity of a study's results. RCTs only provide reliable evidence when outcomes are assessed in the cohort of randomised participants, rather than in the subgroup of patients who completed treatment. Study design, size, duration Review of outcome measures reported in 142 IVF RCTs published in 2013 or 2014. Participants/materials, setting, methods Trials were identified by searching the Cochrane Gynaecology and Fertility Specialised Register. English-language publications of RCTs reporting clinical or preclinical outcomes in peer-reviewed journals in the period 1 January 2013 to 31 December 2014 were eligible. Reported numerators and denominators were extracted. Where they were reported, we checked to see if live birth rates were calculated correctly using the entire randomised cohort or a later denominator. Main results and the role of chance Over 800 combinations of numerator and denominator were identified (613 in no more than one study). No single outcome measure appeared in the majority of trials. Only 22 (43%) studies reporting live birth presented a calculation including all randomised participants or only excluding protocol violators. A variety of definitions were used for key clinical numerators: for example, a consensus regarding what should constitute an ongoing pregnancy does not appear to exist at present. Limitations, reasons for caution Several of the included articles may have been secondary publications. Our categorisation scheme was essentially arbitrary, so the frequencies we present should be interpreted with this in mind. The analysis of live birth denominators was post hoc. Wider implications of the findings There is massive diversity in numerator and denominator selection in IVF trials due to its multistage nature, and this causes methodological frailty in the evidence base. The twin spectres of outcome reporting bias and analysis of non-randomised comparisons do not appear to be widely recognised. Initiatives to standardise outcome reporting, such as requiring all effectiveness studies to report live birth or cumulative live birth, are welcome. However, there is a need to recognise that early outcomes of treatment, such as stimulation response or embryo quality, may be appropriate choices of primary outcome for early phase studies. The practical part is inspired by the Berlin art group Raubdruckerin and their manhole covers´ imprint creation on textile and cardboard. The aim of the practical part is to create a catalog of manhole covers´ imprints on textile and cardboard, enriched by photos taken during the work.

/ a b s t r a c t This thesis deals with the environment of the landscape in connection to movements of the body and of the mind which result in an art gesture. It closely focuses on an individual experience of a landscape as a unique environment. It explains concepts and speculates about their meanings. Through interviews, the thesis presents different approaches to art from plethora of artists, who work in and with the landscape. It deals with a didactic project which aspires to inspire students to think more deeply about the environment that surrounds them and to communicate their understanding o fit through art. Personal artworks created in Finland in the Arctic Circle region capture motion in the landscape of the nature and that of the mind.

The initial exposure to influenza virus usually occurs during childhood. This imprinting has long-lasting effects on the immune responses to subsequent infections and vaccinations. Animal models that are used to investigate influenza pathogenesis and vaccination do recapitulate the pre-immune history in the human population. Resumen Teniendo en cuenta que los métodos tradicionales de toma de muestra y diagnóstico para la leishmaniosis cutánea presentan limitaciones, como el frotis directo, cuya sensibilidad depende de la pericia del profesional, el aspirado de lesión que puede ser usado para detección de parásitos en lámina, su ADN o para cultivos es demorado y exigente, y la biopsia de la lesión que es invasiva y dolorosa se comparó con el método de impronta en papel filtro de la lesión ulcerativa contra el método tradicional de aspirado mediante la técnica de POR convencional utilizando como blanco una región del ADN del kinetoplasto del parásito. En el presente trabajo, la por obtuvo una sensibilidad para impronta del 90,07% comparado con el aspirado, el 86,3%, que, además, por ser un método de toma de muestra no invasivo, con pocas exigencias para el transporte, se puede tomar directamente en el área de operaciones a muy bajo costo, resulta ser beneficioso para ser usado en los pacientes con leishmaniosis cutánea del Ejército Nacional de Colombia, que se encuentran en las diferentes áreas de operaciones. Abstract Taking into account that the traditional methods of sampling and diagnosis for cutaneous leishmaniasis , have limitations, such as direct smear, whose sensitivity depends on the professional's expertise, the lesion aspiration that can be used to detect parasites in the lamina, DNA or cultures takes a long time and is demanding, and the biopsy of the lesion that is invasive and painful were compared with the imprinting method on the filter paper of the ulcerative lesion against the traditional method of aspiration by means of the conventional PCR technique using as a target a DNA region of the parasite kinetoplast. In this present work, PCR obtained an imprinting sensitivity of 90.07% compared to the aspirate of 86.3%, which, besides being a non-invasive sampling method, with few transport requirements, it can be taken directly in the area of operations at a very low cost, which turns out to be beneficial to be used in patients with cutaneous leishmaniasis of the National Army of Colombia, who are in different operations areas. Resumo Considerando que os métodos tradicionais de coleta de amostra e diagnóstico para a leishmaniose cutânea apresentam limitações, como exame direto de esfregaços, cuja sensibilidade depende da perícia do profissional, o raspado de lesão que pode ser usado para a detecção de parasitas em lâmina, seu DNA ou para culturas é demorado e exigente, e a biopsia da lesão que é invasiva e dolorosa, comparou-se com o método in print em papel filtro da lesão ulcerativa contra o método tradicional de aspirado mediante a técnica de PCR convencional utilizando como alvo uma região do DNA do cinetoplasto do parasita. No presente trabalho, a PCR obteve uma sensibilidade para in print de 90,07% comparado com o aspirado, 86,3%, que, além disso, por ser um método de coleta de amostra não invasivo, com poucas exigências para o transporte, pode ser coletado diretamente na área de operações a muito baixo custo, resulta ser benéfico para ser usado nos pacientes com leishmaniose cutânea do Exército Nacional da Colômbia, que se encontram nas diferentes áreas de operações.

The emergence of a new medium never leaves intact the media which preceded it (McLuhan, Debray). Being the scene of a radical shift since the advent of new technologies, the actual paradigm is obviously not immune to this logic. That is why, in these limes of post-digital printed matter remains like a wreck on the shores of progress. As a result, the medium's mechanisms are offered to contemporary artists' imagination who, through the use of various strategies, develop singular new functions within it - awakening this medium like a zombie (Parikka & Hertz). This essay undertakes to present some of the new affordances (Norman) of the printed medium developed since the 2000's by a selection of international artists and by the author, alone or as a collective, from which the intent will be to answer the following question: why do we (artists) still print? ln order to do so, the author has forged three concepts: "ur-imprimo", "nouvel impressionnisme" and "exo-digital". With these concepts, the author thus intends to shift the center of gravity of the mediatic analysis of the printed medium in art from the question of replication (Benjamin), mechanization, uniformity and steadiness (McLuhan) towards the notions of imprint (Didi-Huberman), trace (Derrida), living artistic practice and do-it-yourself (Lévi-Strauss). Subsequently to this reprogramming, etching makes room for "printwork" (Cramer) and the printmaker becomes the artist-printer., L'émergence d'un nouveau médium ne laisse jamais intacts les médias qui l'ont précédé (McLuhan, Debray). Cette logique n'échappe pas au paradigme actuel, théâtre d'un bousculement majeur depuis l'apparition des technologies numériques. C'est ainsi qu'à l'heure du post-lnternet, le médium imprimé demeure telle une épave échouée sur la rive du progrès. Du fait de cet état, les mécanismes de ce médium s'offrent dans leur plus simple appareil à l'imagination des artistes contemporains qui, par l'usage de stratégies diverses, en développent de singuliers emplois - réveillant ce médium à l'instar d'un zombie (Parikka & Hertz). Cette thèse entreprend de présenter quelques-unes de ces nouvelles affordances (Norman) du médium imprimé développées depuis les années 2000 par une sélection d'artistes internationaux et par l'auteur, en solo et en collectif, à partir desquelles il s'agira de répondre à la question suivante : pourquoi imprimons-nous (nous, les artistes) encore ? Pour ce faire, l'auteur a forgé trois concepts : « ur-imprimo », « nouvel impressionnisme » et « exo-digital ». Au contact de ces derniers, l'auteur entend déplacer le centre de gravité des analyses médiatiques du médium imprimé en art des questions de reproductibilité (Benjamin), de mécanisation, d'uniformité et de fixité (McLuhan), vers les notions d'empreinte (Didi-Huberman), de trace (Derrida), de pratique vivante et de bricolage (Lévi-Strauss). Subséquemment à cette reprogrammation, l'estampe fait place au « printwork » (Cramer) et la figure du graveur à celle de l'artiste-imprimeur.

Curs acadèmic: 2017/2018 El grabado se mostró como un medio de comunicación necesario para informar acerca de acontecimientos importantes, facilitar la lectura del texto y como elementos decorativos, hasta incorporarse como pieza figurativa y artística Desde la aparición de los primeros libros incunables hasta mediados del siglo XVII el grabado quedo subordinado a la imprenta siendo cada vez más accesible a un público más diverso y por ende adecuándose a las exigencias de la clientela. Conforme fueron pasando los siglos, esta especialidad se fue adaptando a las diferentes corrientes artísticas y culturales sobre todo impuestas por los más importantes focos artísticos de Europa. Por su parte, los primeros grabadores fueron en su origen artesanos con dotes para la talla, pero conforme el libro impreso alcanzó su mayor demanda, estos artesanos comenzaron a mostrar interés por esta disciplina diferenciándose de los demás artesanos. No fue hasta mediados del siglo XVII, que los artesanos empiezan a firmar sus obras, aumentando su popularidad mientras que, a mediados del siglo XVIII, el grabador es consciente de su estatus impulsado por las Academias. Durante el periodo ilustrado, el academicismo, la rigidez, y los principios artísticos de la ilustración fueron implantados en las Reales Academias con el único objetivo de difundir uniformemente un estilo artístico que imperó en las monarquías europeas. Este largo proceso de evolución del grabado fue emplazado en las colonias virreinales como una característica más del dominio conquistador. En el caso de la Nueva España, su escenografía arquitectónica muestra un ejemplo de los estilos artísticos impuestos, pero debido a la mano de obra indígena, a los escasos de modelos europeos, y a la situación de enclaustramiento se originó el predominio de un arte autóctono y un barroco mestizo; sin embargo, tras la creación de la Real Academia de San Carlos –México- el estilo Neoclásico fue impuesto; la asimilación por parte de la sociedad virreinal del nuevo estilo fue una tarea ardua, pues tuvo un proceso lento pero continuo. El medio por el que profundizaremos en el grabado académico del siglo XVIII español y mexicano será a través de la figura del grabador valenciano Joaquín Fabregat quien logró destacar entre sus colegas por ser uno de los encomendados en su profesión artística en introducir el neoclasicismo en la ciudad de México. The engraving was shown as a necessary media to inform about important events, to facilitate the reading of the text and as decorative elements, until it was incorporated as a figurative and artistic piece. From the appearance of the first incunabula until the middle of the 17th century, the engraving was subordinated to the printing press and was more and more accessible to a more diverse public and therefore adapted to the demands of the clientele. As the centuries passed, this speciality adapted to the different artistic and cultural trends imposed by the most important artistic centers in Europe. On the other hand, the first engravers were originally craftsmen with carving skills, but as the printed book reached its highest demand, these craftsmen began to show interest in this discipline differentiating themselves from other craftsmen. It was not until the middle of the 17th century that artisans began to sign their works, increasing their popularity while, in the middle of the 18th century, the engraver was aware of their status driven by the Academies. During the Enlightenment period, academism, rigidity, and the artistic principles of enlightenment were implanted in the Royal Academies with the sole aim of uniformly spreading an artistic style that prevailed in the European monarchies. This long process of engraving evolution was placed in the viceregal colonies as a further characteristic of the conquering domain. In the case of New Spain, its architectural scenography shows an example of the imposed artistic styles, but due to the indigen work force, the lack of European models, and the enclosed situation, it originated the predominance of autochthonous art and a mestizo baroque; however, after the creation of the Royal Academy of San Carlos - Mexico - the Neoclassical style was imposed; the assimilation of the new style by the viceroyalty, was an difficult task, as it had a slow but continuous process. The means by which we will be deepen into the Spanish and Mexican academic engraving of the eighteenth century, will be through the figure of the Valencian engraver Joaquin Fabregat who managed to stand out among his colleagues for being one of the entrusted in his artistic profession to introduce neoclassicism in Mexico City.

L’œuvre artistique du cinéaste thaïlandais Apichatpong Weerasethakul est au cœur de ce projet. Ce dernier, fruit d’une longue réflexion alliant cinéma et société, s’interroge sur la façon dont l’œuvre de Weerasethakul prend part à une certaine résistance par différentes formes de détour et par l’expression de la diversité. Le cinéaste développe ainsi un récit qui serpente, se démultiplie, qui cherche à représenter la complexité d’un monde où le réel et l’imaginaire s’entremêlent. Un récit qui s’oppose à la suprématie de l’unique ligne droite, c’est-à-dire de la norme imposée. Six forces de résistance structurent et divisent cette recherche : la résistance par la représentation d’une temporalité multiple, la mise en scène des dominés à l’écran, la puissance animiste du cinéma, la force de résistance du désir, le symptôme et le rêve comme résistance par le détour, et le pouvoir de métamorphose. Ce mémoire pose les questions suivantes : dans le cas d’injustices et de traumatismes, est-ce que le cinéma et l’art audio-visuel peuvent aider à élaborer un discours constructif sur le passé refoulé ? Comment le cinéma peut-il contrer la répression mémorielle et mettre en scène un récit alternatif face à un récit historique manipulé et contrôlé ? Par le traitement du réel et de l’imaginaire, le cinéma de Weerasethakul est à la fois un intermédiaire qui permet la résurgence de la mémoire collective et personnelle refoulée, luttant ainsi contre leur possible disparition, et à la fois une force sensible à l’altérité et à la pluralité dont est composé le monde., The work of the Thai film director and artist Apichatpong Weerasethakul is at the heart of this project. The latter developed through a long reflection on the relationship between cinema and society. The main question asked is: in what way can Weerasethakul’s work be said to take part in a kind of resistance, through various forms of detours, as well as through the expression of diversity? His narratives meander, multiply, seek to represent the complexity of a world that combines the real with the imaginary, narratives that contradict the supremacy of the one and only straight line, that is, of the enforced norm. Six resistance forces structure and divide this research: resistance through representation of a multiple temporality, on-screen presentation of dominated characters, the animist potency of cinema, the resistance force intrinsic to desire, symptoms and dreams as forms of resistance via a detour, and the power of metamorphosis. This Master’s thesis asks the following subsidiary questions: when injustices and traumas have been experienced, can cinema, and other visual and performative art forms, help develop a constructive way of thinking about the repressed past? How can cinema overcome the repression of memory and present an alternative narrative, when the official one is manipulated and controlled? Through its intertwining of the real and the imaginary, Weerasethakul’s work acts both as a mediator enabling the resurgence of collective and personal repressed memory, thus fighting against its possible disappearance, and as a force sensitive to the alterity and plurality that constitute the world., Réalisé dans le cadre du programme IMACS (International Master in Audiovisual and Cinema Studies)

Background: Morphological examination of the marrow requires a combination of a properly prepared bone marrow aspirate smear, a trephine biopsy section and an imprint of core biopsy. Some conditions often result in a dry tap and are best studied by marrow biopsy.The major drawbacks of biopsy sections are their thickness, precludingfine morphologic detail.The objective of this study was to compare the diagnostic accuracy, cellularity and cytomorphology from bone marrow biopsy core imprint smears with bone marrow aspiration smears.Materials and Methods: Imprint smears were prepared from 138 cases subjected to bone marrow examination. The bone marrow aspiration, imprint smears andbone marrow biopsy sections were examined and were categorized into five different groups on cytomorphological basis: Non-malignant alterations and normal marrow, Myeloid neoplasms, Plasma cell myeloma, myelo-infiltrative disease and absence of residual disease and further delineated into specific entities wherever necessary.Results: Out of 138 cases, non-malignant alterations and normal marrow was the largest subgroup (N=87, 63%), followed by myeloid neoplasms (N=26, 18.5%), Plasma cell myeloma (N=13, 9.4%), myelo-infiltrative disease (N=9, 6.5%) and absence of residual disease (N=3, 2.2%). The diagnostic accuracy of imprint smears was highest (92%) followed by biopsy sections (89.9%) and aspiration smears (87%). Kappa analysis showed strong agreement (>0.8) and p-value was statistically significant (Conclusion: Imprint smear technique is a simple, rapid, inexpensive and reliable procedure. The routine use of imprint smear in the bone marrow examination will serve as an invaluable adjunct to bone marrow aspiration and biopsy.Journal of Pathology of Nepal (2015) Vol. 5, 739-746

International audience; Genetic and molecular studies have indicated that an epigenetic imprint at mat1, the sexual locus of fission yeast, initiates mating type switching. The polar DNA replication of mat1 generates an imprint on the Watson strand. The process by which the imprint is formed and maintained through the cell cycle remains unclear. To understand better the mechanism of imprint formation and stability, we characterized the recruitment of early players of mating type switching at the mat1 region. We found that the switch activating protein 1 (Sap1) is preferentially recruited inside the mat1M allele on a sequence (SS13) that enhances the imprint. The lysine specific demethylases, Lsd1/2, that control the replication fork pause at MPS1 and the formation of the imprint are specifically drafted inside of mat1, regardless of the allele. The CENP-B homolog, Abp1, is highly enriched next to mat1 but it is not required in the process. Additionally, we established the computational signature of the imprint. Using this signature, we show that both sides of the imprinted molecule are bound by Lsd1/2 and Sap1, suggesting a nucleoprotein protective structure defined as imprintosome.
