Soil moisture is an important hydrological parameter and a basic element for research in water cycle and climate change. Using hourly recorded soil moisture data of 374 stations from the new generation of automatic soil moisture encryption observation network constructed by China Meteo-rological Administration, we analyzed the spatial and temporal variations of soil moisture in North China from 2013 to 2019 and the relationship with precipitation and temperature. The results showed that soil moisture in 10-100 cm layer decreased fluctuatly as a whole, with the decreasing at the 100 cm being serious. The spatial distribution of soil moisture at different depths was characterized by high in the southeast and low in the northwest. About 63% of the surface layer was short of moisture. Soil moisture at different depths changed significantly with the seasons. In summer, soil moisture of each layer reached the highest and soil entropy of each layer was suitable, while it reached a low point in spring. Soil moisture was closely correlated with precipitation and temperature, but the correlation got weaker gradually with the increase of soil depth. Soil moisture was more sensitive to precipitation than to temperature.土壤水分是重要的水文参数,也是水循环、气候变化等研究的基本要素。本研究利用中国气象局新一代自动土壤水分观测网逐小时土壤水分观测数据,分析2013—2019年间华北地区土壤水分的时空分布和变化趋势及其与降水和温度的关系。结果表明: 研究期间,华北地区10~100 cm土层土壤水分整体呈波动下降趋势,尤以100 cm根区土壤水分减少最明显。华北地区不同深度土壤水分空间分布均呈东南高、西北低的特征。10 cm土层63%面积缺墒。不同深度土壤水分随季节变化明显,夏季各层土壤水分达到最高,墒情适宜,春季土壤水分处于低值。土壤水分与降水和温度均具有较好的响应关系,随着土壤深度的增加相关性逐渐减弱,且土壤水分对降水的响应比对气温的响应更显著。.

Antimicrobial therapy necessitates fast and accurate detection of pathogens in purulent meningitis (PM) diagnosis. Although considered a gold standard, the traditional bacterial detection and identification methods based on routine bacterial culture are time-consuming and show low sensitivity and specificity. In order to reduce PM-related deaths and improve the treatment efficiency, we employed trace DNA extraction technology and combined it with Next-Generation Sequencing technology for bacteria identification. We extracted DNA from 31 cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples from people with PM. The samples were collected by lumbar puncture at Xi’an Children Hospital under a stringent protocol. Ion PGM(TM) System Next-Generation Sequencing was used to screen for pathogens in the CSF samples based on their 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes. Of the 31 CSF samples, 29 were culture negative. Streptococcus was detected in 2 samples by culture-based methods. The species identified by Next-Generation Sequencing showed a diverse bacterial population that included Streptococcus (22.6%), Escherichia (15.9%), Peptostreptococcus (10.7%), Pseudomonas (10.5%), Rothia (8.8%), Acinetobacter (4.9%), Prevotella (4.1%), Bacillus (3.3%), Neisseria (2.5%), Catonella (2.4%), Acitinomyces (2.0%), and Citrobacter (2.0%). Clustering analysis revealed three major bacterial groups, namely Streptococcus, Escherichia and Acinetobacter, each group with a different proportion of bacterial species. The results indicated that PM may result from infections by multiple bacterial species as opposed to a single species, with infectivity determined by abundance of the dominant species. Furthermore, Next-Generation Sequencing allowed a sensitive and specific etiological basis for identification of pathogens not only in the cerebrospinal fluid specimens, but also in other clinical samples.

Based on the principle of vegetation water supply index (VWSI), relative normalized difference vegetation index (RNDVI) and relative land surface temperature (RLST) are proposed, with which a modified vegetation water supply index (MVWSI) is constructed, i.e., M V W S I = R N D V I R L S T 2 Compared with VWSI, MVWSI eliminates the difference caused by the spatial and temporal distribution of VWSI. MVWSI was applied to monitor drought over Sichuan and Chongqing, China in 2006, suggesting that MVWSI can demonstrate the whole process of drought from its emergence and development to its weakening and disappearance. The relative precipitation index (RPI) is used to examine the effectiveness of MVWSI. The examination result shows that MVWSI and RPI have high consistency in spatial distribution and in-site time series analysis. Compared with vegetation condition index (VCI), temperature condition index (TCI), vegetation temperature condition index (VTCI) and temperature vegetation drought index (TVDI), MVWSI is simpler in calculation and more stable hence more easily realized in application.

In this paper, we proposed a deep neural network based method for content based video retrieval. Our approach leveraged the deep neural network to generate the semantic information and introduced the graph-based storage structure to establish the video indices. We devised the Inception-Single Shot Multibox Detector (ISSD) and RI3D model to extract spatial semantic information (objects) and extract temporal semantic information (actions). Our ISSD model achieved a mAP of 26.7% on MS COCO dataset, increasing 3.2% over the original SSD model, while the RI3D model achieved a top-1 accuracy of 97.7% on dataset UCF-101. And we also introduced the graph structure to build the video index with the temporal and spatial semantic information. The detail variations of precipitation, potential evapotranspiration (PET) impacts the terrestrial ecosystem.The grassland water deficit or surplus status (GWDS) from 1961 to 2010 were systemically studied for the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau (QTP) using daily data of all meteorological stations. The results indicated that the temporal variations of precipitation were not corresponding to those of PET in a year. The maximum monthly precipitation occurred in July, while the maximum monthly PET appeared in June, the spring precipitation was ranked the second, but its PET was ranked the first in a year. The total water deficit (PET-precipitation) from March to June was more, 51.4 % of the total annual value. Therefore, the drought more frequently occurred in Spring and June in the QTP. The grassland can be protected in a year, especially in Spring and June.

The low cycle fatigue (LCF) behavior of primary pipe material Z3CN20.09M cast stainless stell (CASS) was studied at room temperature (RT) and elevated temperature of 350° C by conducting total axial stain controlled tests in air with strain amplitude in the range ±0.175% to ±0.8%. Based on the test results, the cyclic stress response of material was analyzed, and a dynamic strain aging (DSA) phenomena was discovered at 350° C. Besides, the evaluation of elastic modulus during cyclic tests was studied, and the effect of elastic modulus on parameters of low cycle fatigue was investigated based on the Manson‐Coffin model. It is shown that elastic modulus for Z3CN20.09M decreases constantly during the whole fatigue life, but fluctuates more frequently at elevated temperature. Both the static and dynamic elastic modulus result in a same life trend in low cycle fatigue, but the elastic modulus affects the precision of fatigue life prediction to some extent when the fatigue life exceeded 105.
