In this paper, a long-term workload management problem for multi-server edge computing with server collaboration is studied. In the considered model, mobile users computation-intensive tasks are generated dynamically over the time and offloaded to associated edge servers according to pre-determined subscription agreements. Upon receiving the subscribed workload, each edge server can then decide to whether participate in server collaboration for enabling workload re-allocation (i.e., workload exchange) with other heterogeneously configured edge servers. Unlike most of the existing work, this paper takes into account both competitions and collaborations among strategic edge servers in sharing their computing capacities. To achieve the equilibrium for each edge server in minimizing its expected cost (including energy consumption, delay, transmission, configuration and pricing costs), a joint optimization is formulated for determining i) its amount of workload to undertake, ii) compensation price charged from peers, and iii) computing speed to adopt. To efficiently solve this problem, we propose a novel cooperative queueing game approach, which integrates a convex optimization, a core cost sharing scheme and a mapping rule. Theoretical analyses and extensive simulations are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed solution, and demonstrate its superiority over counterparts.

In this paper, a new method to compute lower and upper bounds for Salem numbers with a given trace and a given degree is given. With this method, it is proven that the smallest trace of Salem numbers of degree 22 22 is − 1 -1 . Further, new lower bounds for degree of Salem numbers with minimal trace − 5 -5 and − 6 -6 are given. All Salem numbers of trace − 2 -2 and degree 24 24 , 26 26 are given. This includes 7 7 additional Salem numbers of degree 26 26 beyond what was previously known. The auxiliary functions related to Chebyshev polynomials, which are adapted to Salem number, are used in this work.

The flow characteristics and heat transfer mechanism of supercritical pressure CO2 in a bent pipe were studied by the method of numerical simulation. The velocity, temperature, secondary flow, and turbulent kinetic energy distribution of the CO2 under different heating conditions are analyzed. The effects of pipe bend and sharp changes in the thermal properties of CO2 on the flow field and temperature field are discussed and compared. The results show that a narrow high-temperature region appears on the inside wall, where the turbulent kinetic energy is low. Here, the local heat transfer coefficient decreases by 60%, compared with the other areas of the bend. Under the conditions of high heat flux and low mass flux, this narrow region transfers from the inside wall to the outside wall, and a reduction in heat transfer occurred. More specifically, the heat flux increases from 20 to 50 kW·m-2, and the heat transfer coefficient decreases by 35%, while the mass flux decreases from 600 to 400 kg·m-2·s-1, and the heat transfer coefficient decreases by 50%. When the pressure changes from 7.58 MPa to 9.00 MPa, the heat transfer coefficient is maximum of 5% reduction. At higher pressures, the heat transfer coefficient is slightly affected by the pressure. Meanwhile, the secondary flow significantly enhances the convective heat transfer, and the range and intensity increase with the flow development.
