O processo de sucessão intergeracional constitui-se numa das etapas mais desafiadoras na vida de uma empresa familiar tanto na competitividade do negócio, quanto na superação de conflitos intra/interfamiliares. Dada a insuficiência do conhecimento sobre a influência familiar nos negócios, pretende-se ampliar os resultados do projeto “Roadmap para Empresas Familiares Portuguesas”, tomando como referência empresas familiares portuguesas e brasileiras. A partir de um desenho de pesquisa qualitativo, analisam-se as estratégias de negociação de (potenciais) conflitos no processo de sucessão e respetivas perceções de empresários/gestores, aprofundando o conhecimento sobre os principais desafios na passagem do “legado” empresarial., The succession process of intergenerational management is one of the most challenging steps in the life of a family firm, both in terms of business competitiveness and in overcoming intra/ interfamily conflicts. Many barred galaxies exhibit upturns (shoulders) in their bar major-axis density profile.In this talk, I show the results ofan investigationof the orbital support and evolution of shoulders via frequency analyses of orbits in simulations, confirming thatx1-looped orbits are the main shoulder-supporting orbits.I also show that these orbits appear at the ILR, $(\Omega_\varphi - \Omega_P)/\Omega_R=1/2$, with vertical-to-radial frequency ratios $1 \lesssim\Omega_z/\Omega_R \lesssim 3/2$ (verticallywarmorbits). Finally, I also discuss the role of vertical resonances (mainly the vILR, $(\Omega_\varphi - \Omega_P)/\Omega_z=1/2$) in perturbing the x1-looped orbits, making them less shoulder-supporting, and how this perturbation is important to the evolution of, not only shoulders, but also bars in general.[Seminar presented in the conference "Galactic bars: driving and decoding galaxy evolution", Granada, 3 - 7 July, 2023]

The Milky Way stellar disk has both a thin and a thick component. The thin disk is composed mostly of younger stars ($\lesssim$8 Gyr) with a lower abundance of $\alpha$ elements, while the thick disk contains predominantly older stars ($\gtrsim$8--12 Gyr) with a higher $\alpha$ abundance, giving rise to an $\alpha$-bimodality most prominent at intermediate metallicities. A proposed explanation for the bimodality is an episode of clumpy star formation, where high-$\alpha$ stars form in massive clumps that appear in the first few Gyrs of the Milky Way's evolution, while low-$\alpha$ stars form throughout the disk and over a longer time span. To better understand the evolution of clumps, we track them and their constituent stars in two clumpy Milky Way simulations that reproduce the $\alpha$-abundance bimodality, one with 10% and the other with 20% supernova feedback efficiency. We investigate the paths that these clumps take in the chemical space ([O/Fe]--[Fe/H]) as well as their mass, star formation rate (SFR), formation location, lifetime, and merger history. The clumps in the simulation with lower feedback last longer on average, with several lasting hundreds of Myr. Some of the clumps do not reach high-$\alpha$, but the ones that do on average had a higher SFR, longer lifetime, greater mass, and form closer to the galactic center than the ones that do not. Most clumps that reach high-$\alpha$ merge with others and eventually spiral into the galactic center, but shed stars along the way to form most of the thick disk component., Comment: 14 pages, 14 figures, accepted for publication in ApJ

As our nearest large neighbor, the Andromeda Galaxy provides a unique laboratory for investigating galaxy formation and the distribution and substructure properties of dark matter in a Milky Way-like galaxy. Here, we propose an initial 2-epoch ($\Delta t\approx 5$yr), 2-band Roman survey of the entire halo of Andromeda, covering 500 square degrees, which will detect nearly every red giant star in the halo (10$\sigma$ detection in F146, F062 of 26.5, 26.1AB mag respectively) and yield proper motions to $\sim$25 microarcsec/year (i.e., $\sim$90 km/s) for all stars brighter than F146 $\approx 23.6$ AB mag (i.e., reaching the red clump stars in the Andromeda halo). This survey will yield (through averaging) high-fidelity proper motions for all satellites and compact substructures in the Andromeda halo and will enable statistical searches for clusters in chemo-dynamical space. Adding a third epoch during the extended mission will improve these proper motions by $\sim t^{-1.5}$, to $\approx 11$ km/s, but this requires obtaining the first epoch in Year 1 of Roman operations. In combination with ongoing and imminent spectroscopic campaigns with ground-based telescopes, this Roman survey has the potential to yield full 3-d space motions of $>$100,000 stars in the Andromeda halo, including (by combining individual measurements) robust space motions of its entire globular cluster and most of its dwarf galaxy satellite populations. It will also identify high-velocity stars in Andromeda, providing unique information on the processes that create this population. Using N-body simulations we explore the effects of growing a supermassive black hole (SMBH) prior to or during the formation of a stellar bar. Keeping the final mass and growth rate of the SMBH fixed, we show that if it is introduced before or while the bar is still growing, the SMBH does not cause a decrease in bar amplitude. Rather, in most cases, it is strengthened. In addition early growing SMBHs always either decreases the buckling amplitude, delay buckling, or both. This weakening of buckling is caused by an increase in the disk vertical velocity dispersion at radii well beyond the nominal black hole sphere-of-influence. While we find considerable stochasticity and sensitivity to initial conditions, the only case where the SMBH causes a decrease in bar amplitude is when it is introduced after the bar has attained a steady state. In this case we confirm previous findings that the decrease in bar strength is a result of scattering of bar-supporting orbits with small pericenter radii. By heating the inner disk both radially and vertically, an early growing SMBH increases the fraction of stars that can be captured by the Inner Lindblad Resonance (ILR) and the vertical ILR, thereby strengthening both the bar and the boxy peanut shaped bulge. Using orbital frequency analysis of star particles, we show that when an SMBH is introduced early and the bar forms around it, the bar is populated by different families of regular bar-supporting orbits than when the bar forms without an SMBH., 33 pages, 15 figures, submitted to ApJ

A educação abrange um conjunto de possibilidades formativas, conjuntivas e propriamente metodológicas, ganhando diferentes conotações ao longo das transformações socioculturais, conversando diretamente com os aspectos interativos, idiossincráticos e civilizatórios diante das disposições individuais-coletivas, demonstrando que a heterogeneidade representa um dos seus pilares constitutivos. No contexto da educação artística as artes visuais permitem que os sujeitos desenvolvam as suas habilidades e perspectivas dentro e fora dos ambientes educativos, promovendo as interlocuções entre os panoramas inter e intrapessoais, mediando com as diferenças atravessadas pelas características singulares do alunato. Desse modo, os modelos e estratégias propostos pela exposição das artes visuais direcionam, de forma significativa, práticas democráticas e socializadoras nos meios educacionais, dinamizando experiências inter e multidisciplinares diante das valorizações culturais e subjetivas. Pensando nisso, o presente estudo se dirige sobre a relação entre as artes visuais e os meios educacionais, tendo como plano de fundo a noção de sublimação, considerada um dos mecanismos psíquicos e vivenciais trazidos pelas visões psicanalíticas, debruçando-se sobre as interações psicológicas e emocionadas intricadas nos processos de subjetivação do sujeito em suas entrelinhas desejantes-pulsionais. Para isso, valeu-se da metodologia de revisão narrativa, servindo de pilar estruturante para as informações e argumentações utilizadas nesse trabalho em questão, pesquisando-se artigos, capítulos de livro e obras acadêmicas relacionadas a temática descrita através das plataformas digitais do Google Acadêmico, Scielo, PePSIC e Portal de Trabalhos da Capes. Por meio das afirmativas supracitadas, observa-se que as artes visuais possibilitam vias sublimatórias significativas perante dos campos da forma subjetiva e dos investimentos libidinais, direcionamento aspectos psíquicos-emocionais e vivenciais importantes para os meios educacionais e pedagógicos na atualidade.

The present study reports the synthesis, characterization, and antibacterial properties of silver trimolybdate (Ag2Mo3O10.2H2O) nanorods. The synthesis was performed using a conventional hydrothermal method. The sample was characterised by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, UV–Vis–NIR diffuse reflectance, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The direct antibacterial activity was evaluated using the microdilution method to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). To assess the ability of Ag2Mo3O10.2H2O nanorods to modulate antibacterial resistance, the MIC of aminoglycosides was established in the presence of a subinhibitory concentration of this substance alone and associated with LED light exposure. The characterization of the sample indicated that the synthesis of silver trimolybdate generated nanometric crystals with rod-like morphology, without secondary phases. The treatment with Ag2Mo3O10.2H2O nanorods alone or combined with visible LED lights exhibited clinically relevant antibacterial activity against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. This nanostructure presented a variable antibiotic-modulating action, which was not improved by visible LED light exposure. Nevertheless, LED lights showed promising antibiotic-enhancing activities in the absence of Ag2Mo3O10.2H2O nanorods. In conclusion, silver trimolybdate dihydrate nanorods have antibacterial properties that can be photocatalysed by visible-light exposure. While showing the potential use to combat antibacterial resistance, the simultaneous combination of silver trimolybdate, visible LED lights, and antibacterial drugs should be carefully analysed to avoid antagonist effects that could impair the effectiveness of antibiotic therapy.

Background and objective: Given the difficulty in establishing an ideal method that can successfully extract bacterial deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) in Gram-negative bacteria, the objective of this work was to compare protocols for the extraction of bacterial DNA and to suggest more practical, faster, and less costly methodologies. Methods: Bacterial species used were Escherichia coli, provided by Dr. Leão Sampaio University Center. The evaluated/adapted methodologies were: sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS); salting-out; Promega kit and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), and phenol/chloroform. Extracted DNA was examined by the agarose gel electrophoresis. Results: The SDS method revealed the best result in extracting DNA from E. coli. Its advantages include rapidness, low cost, and good concentration of the extracted material. Others methods showed low-quality DNA, probably due to the presence of large amounts of proteins in the cell wall of E. coli, interfering with the quality of the samples. Conclusions: It was concluded that the SDS method is better than others with better DNA quality, low cost, and good efficiency.

Analisar o nível de sobrecarga em cuidadores de crianças com Paralisia Cerebral e Autismo. Foi realizado um estudo do tipo transversal, quantitativo, descritivo e comparativo, no Núcleo de Atenção Médica Integrada (NAMI) no período de setembro a outubro de 2021, com os cuidadores de crianças com autismo e paralisia cerebral que são acompanhadas pelo serviço de reabilitação infantil no NAMI. Participaram do estudo no total de 28 cuidadores, sendo 15 cuidadores de crianças com autismo e 13 cuidadores de crianças com paralisia cerebral, esses participantes foram entrevistados com o instrumento de escala de sobrecarga do cuidador Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI) e um questionário de coleta de dados sociodemográfico. Referente à escala ZBI os cuidadores de crianças com autismo apresentaram uma escore que varia de 1 a 67 pontos, tendo 3 cuidadores com ausência de sobrecarga, 5 com sobrecarga leve a moderada, 4 com sobrecarga moderada a severa e 3 com sobrecarga severa. Já os cuidadores de crianças com Paralisia Cerebral apresentaram na escala uma escore que varia de 5 a 51 pontos, tendo 5 cuidadores com ausência de sobrecarga, 6 com sobrecarga leve a moderada e 2 com sobrecarga moderada a severa. Observou-se que os cuidadores de crianças com autismo e de crianças com paralisia cerebral apresentaram predominantemente algum nível de sobrecarga apresentada na escala ZBI e que esse nível pode aumentar de acordo com os fatores sociodemográficos apresentados pelos participantes.

Many barred galaxies exhibit upturns (shoulders) in their bar major-axis density profile. Simulation studies have suggested that shoulders are supported by looped x1 orbits, are present in growing bars, and can appear after bar buckling. Here we investigate the orbital support and evolution of shoulders via frequency analyses of orbits in simulations. We confirm that looped orbits are important to shoulders, and can remain so, to a lesser extent, after they have been vertically thickened. We show that looped orbits are found at the Inner Lindblad Resonance (ILR) with typical ratios of vertical to radial frequencies $1 \lesssim\Omega_z/\Omega_R \lesssim 3/2$ ($\textit{warm}$ ILR). $\textit{Cool}$ ILR orbits (those with $\Omega_z/\Omega_R > 3/2$), which are vertically thin and have no loops, contribute negligibly to shoulders. As bars slow and thicken, either secularly or by buckling, they populate warm ILR orbits. Further thickening carries these orbits towards the vertical ILR (vILR) at $\Omega_z/\Omega_R=1$, where they convert in-plane motion to vertical motion, become chaotic, kinematically hotter and less shoulder-supporting. Because of this heating by the vILR, persistent shoulders require bars to trap new orbits, consistent with the need for a growing bar. Since buckling speeds up the trapping of stars on warm ILR orbits, it can be followed by the formation of shoulders, as seen in simulations. This evolutionary sequence supports the recent observational finding that shoulder formation likely precedes the emergence of BP-bulges. A terceirização em muitas ocasiões proporciona um menor custo para as empresas que contratam este serviço. Dessa forma, trazendo, então, menos preocupações com os funcionários e maquinário. A empresa objeto dessa pesquisa é a Tecelagem Cristal que está localizada no município de Jardim de Piranhas/RN e atua no setor de produção têxtil. A problemática desse trabalho trata: Qual a contribuição positiva que o processo de terceirizar serviços traz para a empresa Cristal? Tem-se como objetivo geral verificar como a terceirização dos serviços pode contribuir de forma positiva para com a empresa Cristal. Para o desenvolvimento desse objetivo geral, foram estabelecidos, pois, alguns objetivos específicos: descobrir a influência do serviço terceirizado no funcionamento da empresa; identificar as dificuldades enfrentadas pela empresa Cristal, no setor de terceirização; entender como ocorre o contrato da empresa Cristal e com as demais empresas pequenas. O percurso metodológico da pesquisa apresenta uma entrevista ao gerente geral da organização. Além disso, utilizou-se como fundamentação teórica os autores Nigel Slack (1999), Ana Lúcia (2009) e Eraldo Leme (2013).

Brucellosis is a infectious zoonosis with important health and economic impacts, both for animal production and public health. We aimed to determine the prevalence of brucellosis in beef cattle in the microregions of Araguaína and Bico do Papagaio in northern Tocantins and to verify whether there are post-mortem changes suggestive of brucellosis in the carcasses. A total of 2,871 serum samples (2,203 males and 668 females) were collected in the municipality of Araguaína between October and November 2019, from 76 beef cattle herds in 25 municipalities in the north of Tocantins. The screening for buffered acidified plate antigen test (BAPA) and confirmation test for 2-mercaptoethanol (2-ME) were conducted as recommended by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply (MAPA). Of the samples, 37.31% were reactive in the BAPA test, and of these, 26.24% were confirmed for 2-ME. Thus, 9.79% (281) of the total evaluated samples tested positive for the presence of brucellosis. The prevalence in males and females was 6.45% (142) and 20.81% (139), respectively. Among the herds evaluated, 77.6% (59) had at least one individual test positive for brucellosis, and at least one herd tested positive in each of the 25 municipalities sampled. As this study evaluated animals in a slaughterhouse, the higher prevalence of positive females may have been related to the disposal of animals with reproductive problems. There was no significant difference in the prevalence of brucellosis in slaughter cattle between the microregions evaluated (p > 0.05). No animals were reagent for brucellosis in ante-mortem documentation, and no anatomopathological changes suggestive of brucellosis were observed during post-mortem inspection. The most frequent post-mortem findings were contamination (43.91%), blood aspiration (17.36%), and pulmonary emphysema (15.98%). Considering the official results of the monitoring programs of the state of Tocantins and previous studies, post-mortem macroscopic inspection of carcasses may not be enough to detect animals with this zoonosis, and it may be necessary to take measures to promote animal and public health. A brucelose é uma doença infectocontagiosa tendo impacto sanitário e econômico, tanto na produção animal quanto na saúde pública por ser uma zoonose. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi determinar a prevalência de brucelose em bovinos de corte nas microrregiões de Araguaína e Bico do Papagaio no norte do Tocantins e verificar se havia ocorrência de alterações post mortem sugestivas de brucelose nas carcaças. Foram coletadas 2.871 amostras de soro, 2.203 de machos e 668 de fêmeas, durante a sangria em frigoríficos do município de Araguaína, entre outubro e novembro de 2019. Os animais foram oriundos de 76 rebanhos de corte de 25 municípios do norte do Tocantins. Foi realizada a prova de triagem do Antígeno Acidificado Tamponado (AAT) e a prova confirmatória do 2-mercaptoetanol (2-ME) conforme preconizado pelo Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (MAPA). Das 2.871 amostras avaliadas, 37,31% foram reativas na prova do AAT, destas 26,24% foram confirmadas no 2-ME, o que representa 9,79% (281) do total avaliado. A prevalência em machos foi de 6,45% (142) e em fêmeas foi de 20,81% (139). Entre os rebanhos avaliados foi observada prevalência de brucelose em 77,6% (59), com pelo menos um rebanho com animais positivos em cada um dos 25 municípios amostrados. Como este estudo avaliou animais em frigorífico, a maior prevalência de fêmeas positivas pode estar relacionada com o descarte de animais com problemas reprodutivos. Não foi observada diferença significativa entre a prevalência de brucelose nos bovinos abatidos entre as microrregiões do estado de Tocantins avaliadas (p > 0,05). Durante o período de coleta de amostras nenhum animal foi notificado como positivo na documentação ante mortem e nenhuma alteração anatomopatológica sugestiva de brucelose foi observada durante a inspeção post mortem das carcaças de animais amostrados no presente estudo. Os achados post mortem mais frequentes foram contaminação (43,91%), aspiração de sangue (17,36%) e enfisema pulmonar (15,98%). Considerando os resultados oficiais dos programas de monitoramento do estado do Tocantins e estudos anteriores, foi possível observar que é preciso aprimorar e intensificar as ações para promoção de sanidade animal e, nesse caso, de saúde pública, uma vez que o processo de inspeção macroscópico post mortem das carcaças pode não ser suficiente para detectar animais com essa zoonose.

Giving that, the present study aims to describe how the process of appropriation of school space by the PIBID scholarship holder of the Geography subproject of the Federal University of Alagoas, edition 2020 - 2022, took place during the period of social isolation. For this action to be possible, a roadmap was created by the Area Coordinators that guided the investigations and reflections of the scholarship holders of Initiation to Teaching. Through the roadmap provided, the scholarship holders were able to learn about the physical, administrative, and pedagogical structure of the target school. The process of virtual knowledge of the Federal Institute of Alagoas made possible the survey and analysis of the collected data, carried out through documentary survey and interviews; the PIBID scholarship holders were able not only to become familiar with the organizational structure and services offered by the institution, but also to realize that they were working in one of the most important educational institutions in the state of Alagoas. A escola também se caracteriza como sendo um espaço de formação do professor, pois através dos diferentes elementos e relações que o compõem, faz com que a escola contribua para a construção da identidade profissional. Diante do exposto, o presente estudo tem como propósito descrever como se deu o processo de apropriação do espaço escolar pelo pibidiano do subprojeto Geografia da Universidade Federal de Alagoas, edição 2020 – 2022, durante o período de isolamento social. Para que essa ação fosse possível foi criado um roteiro pelos Coordenadores de Área que norteou as averiguações e reflexões dos bolsistas de Iniciação à Docência. Através do roteiro disponibilizado os pibidianos puderam ter conhecimento da estrutura física, administrativa e pedagógica da escola campo de atuação. O processo de conhecimento virtual do Instituto Federal de Alagoas possibilitou o levantamento e análise dos dados coletados, realizado através de levantamento documental e entrevistas; os pibidianos puderam não só conhecer a estrutura organizacional e serviços ofertados pela instituição, mas também perceber que estavam atuando em uma das mais importantes instituições educativas do estado de Alagoas.

O uso de um sistema de planejamento e controle de estoque é essencial para uma boa administração dentro das empresas, pois com a falta dessa ferramenta na organização, ela estará correndo grandes riscos a erros e prejuízos. A pesquisa procura saber quais as contribuições e melhorias que um bom sistema de estoque pode proporcionar à empresa pesquisada. O objetivo geral é propor a implantação de um sistema de controle de estoque na empresa, já os específicos são analisar e descrever como funciona o procedimento de compras de matéria prima na atual empresa; identificar as dificuldades por falta de um sistema de informação e sugerir melhorias através da uma implantação de um sistema de informação. O campo para o desenvolvimento do estágio foi a empresa Arte Têxtil, que atua no seguimento têxtil, no município de São Bento-PB. Foi realizada uma pesquisa com o gestor da empresa de caráter qualitativo. A fundamentação teórica desta pesquisa foi embasada nas obras de Idalberto Chiavenato, Hamilton Pozo e Ronald H. Ballou, que com seus conhecimentos mostraram o quão é importante uma empresa adotar um sistema de controle de estoque.

This study aims to analyze the potential of the Schoology digital platform for offering online courses, from the point of view of students in an open course. The research is justified by the need to understand the use of different virtual learning environments. This is a qualitative research, with data obtained from the application of questionnaires. Participated in the research six students from a Distance Biological Sciences course. Most participants found the Moodle platform to be easy to use. As in the case of Moodle, most students found the environment, tools, and communication in Schoology easy to use. However, one student found it difficult to use Schoology (environment) and the tools. When asked about the greatest difficulty in the course, time was mentioned by five students. We conclude that students recognize the use of Schoology as a suitable tool for offering online courses. We also observed the need to invest in research that seeks to understand how virtual learning environments influence the success/failure of students. Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el potencial de la plataforma digital Schoology para ofrecer cursos en línea, en la visión de los alumnos de un curso abierto. La investigación se justifica por la necesidad de comprender el uso de diferentes entornos virtuales de aprendizaje. Se trata de una investigación cualitativa, con datos obtenidos de la aplicación de cuestionarios. Participaron de la investigación seis alumnos de un curso de Ciencias Biológicas a Distancia. La mayoría de los participantes encontraron la plataforma Moodle fácil de usar. Sin embargo, a un alumno le resultó difícil usar Schoology (entorno) y las herramientas. Cuando se les preguntó acerca de la mayor dificultad en el curso, el tiempo fue citado por cinco alumnos. Concluimos que los alumnos reconocen el uso de Schoology como una herramienta adecuada para ofrecer cursos en línea. También observamos la necesidad de invertir en investigaciones que busquen comprender cómo los entornos virtuales de aprendizaje influyen en el éxito/fracaso de los alumnos. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar o potencial da plataforma digital Schoology para a oferta de cursos online, na visão de alunos de um curso livre. A pesquisa se justifica diante da necessidade de entender o uso de diferentes ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem. Esta é uma pesquisa qualitativa, com dados obtidos a partir da aplicação de questionários. Participaram da pesquisa seis alunos de um curso de Ciências Biológicas a Distância. A maioria dos participantes considerou a plataforma Moodle fácil de usar. Assim como no caso da Moodle, a maioria dos alunos considerou o ambiente, as ferramentas e a comunicação no Schoology fáceis de usar. Contudo, um aluno considerou difícil o uso do Schoology (ambiente) e das ferramentas. Quando questionados sobre a maior dificuldade no curso, o tempo foi citado por cinco alunos. Concluímos que os alunos reconhecem o uso do Schoology como uma ferramenta adequada para a oferta de cursos online. Observamos, também, a necessidade de investir em pesquisas que procurem entender como os ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem influenciam no sucesso/fracasso dos alunos.

The Milky Way stellar disk has both a thin and a thick component. The thin disk is composed mostly of younger stars ($\lesssim$8 Gyr) with a lower abundance of $α$ elements, while the thick disk contains predominantly older stars ($\gtrsim$8--12 Gyr) with a higher $α$ abundance, giving rise to an $α$-bimodality most prominent at intermediate metallicities. A proposed explanation for the bimodality is an episode of clumpy star formation, where high-$α$ stars form in massive clumps that appear in the first few Gyrs of the Milky Way's evolution, while low-$α$ stars form throughout the disk and over a longer time span. To better understand the evolution of clumps, we track them and their constituent stars in two clumpy Milky Way simulations that reproduce the $α$-abundance bimodality, one with 10% and the other with 20% supernova feedback efficiency. We investigate the paths that these clumps take in the chemical space ([O/Fe]--[Fe/H]) as well as their mass, star formation rate (SFR), formation location, lifetime, and merger history. The clumps in the simulation with lower feedback last longer on average, with several lasting hundreds of Myr. Some of the clumps do not reach high-$α$, but the ones that do on average had a higher SFR, longer lifetime, greater mass, and form closer to the galactic center than the ones that do not. Most clumps that reach high-$α$ merge with others and eventually spiral into the galactic center, but shed stars along the way to form most of the thick disk component., 14 pages, 14 figures, accepted for publication in ApJ

The cyclicity problem consists in estimating the number of limit cycles bifurcating from a monodromic singularity of planar vector fields and is usually addressed by means of Lyapunov coefficients. For nonsmooth systems, besides the limit cycles bifurcating by varying the Lyapunov coefficients, monodromic singularities lying on the switching curve can always be split apart generating, under suitable conditions, a sliding region and an extra limit cycle surrounding it. This bifurcation phenomenon is called pseudo-Hopf bifurcation and has been used to increase the lower bounds for the cyclicity of monodromic singularities in Filippov vector fields. In this paper, we aim to go beyond the pseudo-Hopf bifurcation by showing that the destruction of (2k,2k)-monodromic tangential singularities give birth to at least k limit cycles surrounding sliding segments.

The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is capable of delivering an unprecedented all-sky, high-spatial resolution, multi-epoch infrared map to the astronomical community. This opportunity arises in the midst of numerous ground- and space-based surveys that will provide extensive spectroscopy and imaging together covering the entire sky (such as Rubin/LSST, Euclid, UNIONS, SPHEREx, DESI, SDSS-V, GALAH, 4MOST, WEAVE, MOONS, PFS, UVEX, NEO Surveyor, etc.). Roman can uniquely provide uniform high-spatial-resolution (~0.1 arcsec) imaging over the entire sky, vastly expanding the science reach and precision of all of these near-term and future surveys. This imaging will not only enhance other surveys, but also facilitate completely new science. By imaging the full sky over two epochs, Roman can measure the proper motions for stars across the entire Milky Way, probing 100 times fainter than Gaia out to the very edge of the Galaxy. Here, we propose NANCY: a completely public, all-sky survey that will create a high-value legacy dataset benefiting innumerable ongoing and forthcoming studies of the universe. NANCY is a pure expression of Roman's potential: it images the entire sky, at high spatial resolution, in a broad infrared bandpass that collects as many photons as possible. A safe and effective vaccine against multidrug-resistant gonorrhea is urgently needed. An experimental peptide vaccine called TMCP2 that mimics an oligosaccharide epitope in gonococcal lipooligosaccharide, when adjuvanted with glucopyranosyl lipid adjuvant–stable emulsion, elicits bactericidal immunoglobulin G and hastens clearance of gonococci in the mouse vaginal colonization model. In this study, we show that efficacy of TMCP2 requires an intact terminal complement pathway, evidenced by loss of activity in C9−/− mice or when C7 function was blocked. In conclusion, TMCP2 vaccine efficacy in the mouse vagina requires membrane attack complex. Serum bactericidal activity may serve as a correlate of protection for TMCP2.

Objetivo: Refletir sobre o uso institucionalizado de tablets pelos AgentesComunitários de Saúde (ACS) no seu processo de trabalho. Método: Pesquisa exploratória, com características quantitativa e qualitativa. Busca de reportagens realizada no Google notícias entre 2013 e 2019, utilizando os descritores “Agente Comunitário” e “Tablet”. Elaborou-se um formulário eletrônico no Epi-info 7 com as principais informações de cadauma das notícias, gerando um respectivo banco de dados e clipping das matérias identificadas. Foi feita a análise temporal e geográfica das matérias. A abordagem qualitativa compreendeu a análise dos conteúdos das notícias, com base na análise de conteúdo de Laurence Bardin. Resultados e discussão: Foram encontradas vinte e sete (27) notícias deonze (11) estados de vinte e seis (26) municípios, sendo a maior parte da região Sul e Nordeste do Brasil. Na análise do conteúdo, percebeu-se que o tablet é compreendido como um instrumento que irá fazer com que o trabalho do ACS seja mais dinâmico e prático para eles e para a equipe de saúde da família como um todo, alguns dos termos que mais sedestacaram foram: melhoria, facilidade e agilidade no processo de trabalho. O processo de qualificação dos ACS para o uso da nova tecnologia foi citado em 11 notícias (41%). Conclusão: É importante problematizar a introdução de tablets no processo de trabalho doACS, levantando avanços e desafios, oferecendo também a qualificação apropriada para que estes profissionais possam fazer o melhor uso da ferramenta e não descartar totalmente os papéis, pois podem ser úteis.

This is a critical reflection essay on COVID-19 in suburban areas in Rio de Janeiro through documental analysis of the three socio-epidemiological bulletins COVID-19 in the favelas, published in FIOCRUZ COVID-19 Observatory. The results of these bulletins were presented and discussed grounded on critical epidemiology and the social determination of the health-disease process, discussing the magnitude of the disease in the favelas. Furthermore, we understood that this debate elicits and strengthens the discussion about the health and social impacts of COVID-19 in the Brazilian suburbs. We described the work process to prepare the bulletins and the methodological challenges of monitoring diseases in the suburbs. Lastly, the main results were analyzed and discussed, considering the historical inequalities that became more evident with the current pandemic.

Este artigo apresenta os resultados de ações que visam compartilhar experiências de reconhecimento e apropriação de técnicas de projeto paramétrico e fabricação digital com escritórios de arquitetura, desenvolvidas no âmbito de um projeto de extensão. Tais ações têm investido no estabelecimento de um diálogo com profissionais de arquitetura, de um contexto local, sobre as potencialidades de tais técnicas para a resolução de problemas de projeto junto a este contexto específico, no dia a dia da prática de arquitetura. Além da própria formação dos estudantes envolvidos no projeto em questão, os participantes das ações tiveram a oportunidade de refletir sobre as possibilidades de compartilhamento por meio das práticas dos estágios obrigatórios e da extensão curricularizada, considerados como veículos já institucionalizados e próprios para trocas efetivas de conhecimento e potencialização mútua dos referidos contextos.

O presente trabalho analisa o caráter da pretensão punitiva prevista no art. 142, caput, in fine, do CTN, perquirindo se impositivo ou propositivo. Ou seja, se a penalidade cabível por responsabilidade decorrente de infração à legislação tributária é aplicada pela autoridade lançadora já no auto de infração, a partir do que o contribuinte busca desconstituí-la, ou se a sua aplicação é proposta à autoridade julgadora, cabendo ao contribuinte discutir a sua imposição, de forma preventiva à constituição definitiva, no bojo do processo administrativo tributário, mediante contraditório e ampla defesa. O estudo se dedica ao exame da atuação da administração tributária federal. O exercício da pretensão punitiva por parte do referido Fisco, através do lançamento de ofício de tributos, baseia-se, essencialmente, no art. 44 da Lei n. 9.430/1996. A pesquisa inicia no Brasil de 1953, quando nasceu o Anteprojeto do Código Tributário Nacional da pena de Rubens Gomes de Sousa; perpassa os projetos do código que viriam em 1954 e 1966, e crava o olhar no texto vertido em lei, em 1966, defendendo a natureza propositiva da pretensão punitiva.

Objective: To present publications expressed in the world scientific literature on the use of cannabinoids in the management of chronic cancer pain. Method: Integrative literature review whose data search was performed using the descriptors “Medical Marijuana”, “Cannabinoids”, “Cannabis”, “Chronic Pain”, “Cancer Pain”, defined from the vocabulary of Health Sciences Descriptors ( DeCS), these terminologies were combined using the Boolean operator AND in the electronic databases: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE) and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) via the Library Virtual Health (VHL). Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Web of Science (WOS), Cinahl and Scopus via CAPES Journal Portal and Cochrane Library. Results: A total of 208 studies were identified in these databases. With 40 in Medline, 01 in LILACS, 0 in SciELO, 89 in the Scopus database, 62 in the Web of Science, 9 in the Cochrane Library and 7 in CINAHL, 27 duplicate articles were excluded, leaving 181 articles. Of these, 117 articles that did not directly address the object of this research were excluded, resulting in a final sample of 10 articles. Conclusion: There is preclinical evidence that CBD can address several of the underlying pathways of cancer, and there is preclinical and clinical evidence that CBD can be effective in treating many of the symptoms and signs associated with the disease and its orthodox treatment. , however, studies that address: administration, dosage schedules and absorption of medical cannabis in the treatment of cancer are still scarce in the literature. Objetivo: Presentar publicaciones expresadas en la literatura científica mundial sobre el uso de cannabinoides en el manejo del dolor oncológico crónico. Método: Revisión integrativa de la literatura cuya búsqueda de datos se realizó utilizando los descriptores “Medical Marijuana”, “Cannabinoids”, “Cannabis”, “Chronic Pain”, “Cancer Pain”, definidos a partir del vocabulario de Descriptores de Ciencias de la Salud (DeCS), estas terminologías se combinaron mediante el operador booleano AND en las bases de datos electrónicas: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE) y Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) a través de la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS). Este projeto foi desenvolvido com apoio do Edital 28 da Secretaria de Educação a Distância da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul e trata da digitalização de um jogo sobre o conceito de território sanitário, criado inicialmente como jogo analógico. O recurso educacional objetiva apresentar conceitos de território, territorialização e territorialidade em situações simuladas do trabalho em saúde; desenvolver saberes relacionais associados às ações colaborativas e ao trabalho em equipe; e simular o trabalho em saúde, articulando conhecimento teórico, políticas públicas de saúde e a organização do processo de trabalho. Foi elaborado um site, com acesso aberto e gratuito, no qual estão apresentados o jogo analógico e a proposta de jogo digital para ser utilizado na formação multiprofissional em saúde, tanto para estudantes de graduação, como de cursos técnicos, pós-graduação ou educação permanente em saúde. Como produtos da utilização do jogo digital, propõe-se a produção de um mapa, definição de diagnóstico comunitário prioritário e a proposição de solução viável para gestores de saúde. O jogo digital foi avaliado e validado em aula remota na graduação em enfermagem da Universidade, em janeiro de 2022. Cinco grupos foram formados e produziram distintos mapas, decidindo seus próprios caminhos para lidar com as questões de um território imaginário em Saúde. Em fevereiro o jogo foi potencializado e agora está completo para interação em navegadores desktop e mobile, seguindo tópicos de acessibilidade web, além de dispor de versão analógica. The treatment of acute leukemia is challenging because of the genetic heterogeneity between and within patients. Leukemic stem cells (LSCs) are relatively drug-resistant and frequently relapse. Their plasticity and capacity to adapt to extracellular stress, in which mitochondrial metabolism and autophagy play important roles, further complicates treatment. Genetic models of phosphatidylinositol-5-phosphate 4-kinase type 2 protein (PIP4K2s) inhibition have demonstrated the relevance of these enzymes in mitochondrial homeostasis and autophagic flux. Here, we uncovered the cellular and molecular effects of THZ-P1-2, a pan-inhibitor of PIP4K2s, in acute leukemia cells. THZ-P1-2 reduced cell viability and induced DNA damage, apoptosis, loss of mitochondrial membrane potential, and the accumulation of acidic vesicular organelles. Protein expression analysis revealed that THZ-P1-2 impaired autophagic flux. In addition, THZ-P1-2 induced cell differentiation and showed synergistic effects with venetoclax. In primary leukemia cells, LC-MS/MS-based proteome analysis revealed that sensitivity to THZ-P1-2 is associated with mitochondrial metabolism, cell cycle, cell-of-origin (hematopoietic stem cell and myeloid progenitor), and the TP53 pathway. The minimal effects of THZ-P1-2 observed in healthy CD34+ cells suggest a favorable therapeutic window. Our study provides insights into the pharmacological inhibition of PIP4K2s targeting mitochondrial homeostasis and autophagy, shedding light on a new class of drugs for acute leukemia.

Como construir processos de cidades inteligentes que superem as desigualdades socioespaciais, em especial as desigualdades que se refletem na saúde? Esta é uma das questões que inicia este artigo no formato de ensaio crítico-reflexivo que não tem a pretensão de trazer respostas absolutas e prontas para os assuntos que se entrecruzam no questionamento elencado. Apoia-se metodologicamente na revisão narrativa da literatura com base no referencial teórico da determinação social do processo saúde-doença e na compreensão da informação em saúde como um direito. Este texto traz alguns tópicos sobre a temática das cidades inteligentes no contexto brasileiro, acrescido da discussão da saúde como direito social, democraticamente conquistado no Brasil e as interfaces necessárias com temáticas relevantes para o campo da informação em saúde. São feitas reflexões e apontamentos necessários para que a incorporação da tecnologia digital nas cidades se dê no sentido de diminuir as desigualdades territoriais e não insivibilizá-las ou agudizá-las. Para a análise reflexiva foram trazidas situações exemplos que pudessem elucidar a discussão. É necessário avançar em processos e metodologias que identifiquem as desigualdades territoriais, em especial, as que incidem na saúde, pensar em formas de uso, incorporação e adaptação das tecnologias de informação e comunicação de acordo com as heterogeneidades e necessidades locais. Fortalecendo a informação em saúde como um direito humano e a construção de saúde digital e cidades digitais inclusivas e não como barreiras de acesso.

A transição nutricional no Brasil traçou um caminho singular refletindo-se em adoecimentos e óbitos, principalmente nas morbidades como a desnutrição e a obesidade. Dessa forma, esse estudo descreveu análise temporal da internação e mortalidade por desnutrição e obesidade no Brasil de 2000 a 2016, de forma a investigar o comportamento e a tendência nacional. Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico quantitativo descritivo de caráter exploratório cujo objetivo foi descrever a distribuição dos casos de óbitos e internações hospitalares por desnutrição e obesidade no Brasil. Para a análise dos dados, foi realizada a estratificação etária, para compreender o comportamento epidemiológico dentro dos diferentes grupos etários. Em linhas gerais, a desnutrição no Brasil apresenta uma tendência de declínio, ao longo dos anos, enquanto a obesidade segue uma tendência de aumento da sua incidência pelos próximos anos, mudando então o padrão nutricional brasileiro. Tanto a desnutrição quando obesidade, no Brasil, apresentaram comportamentos peculiares em seus extremos etários – menores de um ano de idade e os maiores de sessenta anos, pois são grupos que apresentam uma vulnerabilidade em relação às condições nutricionais abordadas.

BACKGROUND: Squats are considered one of the main exercises for the lower limbs and are used in resistance training under different contexts, including rehabilitation and sports performance. OBJECTIVE: To compare the EMG activity of different muscles in back squat and lunge exercises in trained women. METHODS: Ten healthy women experienced in resistance training performed back squat and lunge exercises on a Smith machine (total work: 70% of 1RM, 1 set, 10 repetitions and 2-s/2-s of execution speed) with an interval of 20-min between exercises. Both exercises were standardized in relation to the trunk inclination and were performed with an erect trunk parallel to the cursor of the guided bar. RESULTS: The EMG activity of the vastus medialis (VM), vastus lateralis (VL), biceps femoris (BF), and gluteus maximus (GM) were analyzed. There were no significant differences in the EMG activity of the VM, VL, and BF muscles between the back squat and lunge exercises (P> 0.05); however, GM activation was greater during the lunge exercise (effect size = 1.15; P= 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: Lunges were more effective in recruiting the GM when compared to back squats. However, both exercises can be recommended when the goal is knee extensor and flexor muscle activity.

Introduction: the aging of the Brazilian population is a real phenomenon, requiring specific care from health services and family members, in this context, the caregiver assumes a prominent role, especially in relation to the care provided in relation to the singularities of this phase, specific procedures and drug therapies, and the effective support of the latter is closely related to the guidance provided by the caregiver. Objective: to know the perception of the elderly about the guidance received from the caregiver about drug therapy. Methodology: this is a study with a qualitative approach using a semi-structured interview with two guide questions applied to ten elderly people in the area of coverage of a Basic Health Unit located in a municipality in the northern region of the state of Minas Gerais. Results: the caregiver presents himself as an important actor in the care of the elderly, in the face of the senescence process installed, especially in relation to drug therapy. Conclusion: this study showed that the perception of the elderly about the caregiver's orientations in drug therapy is mainly related to a question of dependence on the caregiver, focusing on schedules, Cuidado de Enfermería. Introducción: el envejecimiento de la población brasileña es un fenómeno real, que requiere atención específica de los servicios de salud y los miembros de la familia, en este contexto, el cuidador asume un papel destacado, especialmente en relación con la atención prestada en relación con las singularidades de esta fase, procedimientos específicos y terapias farmacológicas, y el apoyo efectivo de estos últimos está estrechamente relacionado con la orientación proporcionada por el cuidador. Objetivo: conocer la percepción de los ancianos sobre la orientación recibida del cuidador sobre la farmacoterapia. Metodología: se trata de un estudio con enfoque cualitativo que utiliza una entrevista semiestructurada con dos preguntas guía aplicadas a diez ancianos en el área de cobertura de una Unidad Básica de Salud ubicada en un municipio de la región norte del estado de Minas Gerais. Resultados: el cuidador se presenta como un actor importante en el cuidado de los ancianos, frente al proceso de senescencia instalado, especialmente en relación con la terapia farmacológica. Conclusión: este estudio mostró que la percepción de los ancianos sobre las orientaciones del cuidador en la terapia farmacológica se relaciona principalmente con una cuestión de dependencia del cuidador, centrándose en los horarios, la dosis y otros factores. Introdução: o envelhecimento da população brasileira é um fenômeno real, exigindo cuidados específicos dos serviços de saúde e familiares, nesse contexto, o cuidador assume papel de destaque, sobretudo, em relação aos cuidados prestados frente às singularidades dessa fase, procedimentos específicos e terapias medicamentosas, sendo a adesão efetiva dessa última intimamente relacionado às orientações fornecidas pelo cuidador. Objetivo: conhecer a percepção do idoso sobre as orientações recebidas do cuidador acerca da terapia medicamentosa. Metodologia: trata-se de um estudo com abordagem qualitativa utilizando uma entrevista semiestruturada com duas questões norteadoras aplicada a dez idosos da área de área de abrangência de uma Unidade Básica de Saúde localizada em um município da região norte do estado de Minas Gerais. Resultados: o cuidador apresenta-se como ator importante no cuidado ao idoso, frente ao processo de senescência instalado, sobretudo, em relação à terapia medicamentosa. Conclusão: esse estudo mostrou que a percepção do idoso sobre as orientações do cuidador na terapia medicamentosa relaciona-se, sobretudo, a uma questão de dependência do cuidador, focalizando horários, posologia e outros fatores.

Nursing professionals are the main actors who are on the front lines of the fight against this pandemic and have been heavily affected by the coronavirus. Studies reveal that nurses working to combat the COVID-19 pandemic have high levels of burnout. Nurses are exposed to stressors such as: risk of transmission, high demand for work often with double shifts, lack of PPE, low pay and professional recognition, exposure to pain and care for terminally ill patients increased the risk of developing mental disorders such as: anxiety , stress, depression including suicidal ideation. In this context, a worrying factor is the correlation between high levels of burnout and the quality of care and/or service provided, such as favoring human failures, lack of empathy with patients, lower productivity and higher turnover, including with regard to the interpersonal relationship between the multidisciplinary team.

Several studies indicate that there is greater vulnerability to acquiring sexually transmitted infections in the population that uses recreational drugs. Objective: this study aims to explore the relationship between the recreational use of psychoactive drugs in a sexual context among female, male and non-binary students at a university in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Method: this is a descriptive study with a quali-quanti approach, consisting of a semi-structured form delivered via the online platform "social network" 196 university students over 18 years of age in the city of Rio de Janeiro responded to the survey. Result: with this study it was possible to know the sexual behavior of this group of people and identify individual psychosocial factors. Conclusion: the characteristics of the social environment where this individual is inserted and the predominant beliefs of the community and about the treatment and normalization of HIV. Diversos estudios indican que existe mayor vulnerabilidad a adquirir infecciones de transmisión sexual en la población que consume drogas recreativas. Objetivo: este estudio tiene como objetivo explorar la relación entre el uso recreativo de drogas psicoactivas en un contexto sexual entre estudiantes femeninos, masculinos y no binarios de una universidad de la ciudad de Río de Janeiro. Método: se trata de un estudio descriptivo con enfoque cuali-cuantitativo, que consiste en un formulario semiestructurado entregado a través de la plataforma en línea "red social". Respondieron a la encuesta 196 estudiantes universitarios mayores de 18 años de la ciudad de Río de Janeiro. Resultado: con este estudio fue posible conocer el comportamiento sexual de este grupo de personas e identificar factores psicosociales individuales. Conclusión: las características del medio social donde se inserta este individuo y las creencias predominantes de la comunidad y sobre el tratamiento y la normalización del VIH. Diversos estudos apontam que existe maior vulnerabilidade para aquisição de infecções sexualmente transmissíveis na população que utiliza drogas recreativas. Objetivo: este estudo tem como objetivo explorar a relação entre o uso recreativo de drogas psicoativas em contexto sexual entre alunos do gênero feminino, masculino e não binário de uma universidade na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Método: trata-se de estudo descritivo com abordagem quali-quanti, composto por e formulário semiestruturado entregue via plataforma on-line “rede social” 196 universitários acima de 18 anos de idade na cidade do Rio de Janeiro responderam a pesquisa. Resultado: com este estudo foi possível conhecer o comportamento sexual desse grupo de pessoas e identificar os fatores psicossociais individuais. Conclusão: as características do ambiente social onde este individuo esta inserido e crenças predominantes da comunidade e sobre tratamento e normalização do HIV.

Treatment of acute leukemia is challenging due to genetic heterogeneity between and even within patients. Leukemic stem cells (LSCs) are relatively drug-resistant and frequently lead to relapse. Their plasticity and capacity to adapt to extracellular stress, in which mitochondrial metabolism and autophagy play important roles, further complicates treatment. Genetic models of phosphatidylinositol-5-phosphate 4-kinase type 2 proteins (PIP4K2s) inhibition demonstrated the relevance of these enzymes in mitochondrial homeostasis and autophagic flux. Here, we uncover the cellular and molecular effects of THZ-P1-2, a pan-inhibitor of PIP4K2s, in acute leukemia cells. THZ-P1-2 reduced cell viability and induced DNA damage, apoptosis, loss of mitochondrial membrane potential, and accumulation of acidic vesicular organelles. Protein expression analysis revealed that THZ-P1-2 impaired autophagy flux. In addition, THZ-P1-2 induced cell differentiation and showed synergistic effects with venetoclax in resistant leukemic models. In primary leukemia cells, LC-MS/MS-based proteome analysis revealed that sensitivity to THZ-P1-2 was associated with mitochondrial metabolism, cell cycle, cell-of-origin, and the TP53 pathway. Minimal effects of THZ-P1-2 observed in healthy CD34+ cells suggested a favorable therapeutic window. Our study provides insight into pharmacological inhibition of PIP4Ks targeting mitochondrial homeostasis and autophagy shedding light on a new class of drugs for acute leukemias.

Objective To compare colorectal cancer (CRC) incidences in carriers of pathogenic variants of the MMR genes in the PLSD and IMRC cohorts, of which only the former included mandatory colonoscopy surveillance for all participants. Methods CRC incidences were calculated in an intervention group comprising a cohort of confirmed carriers of pathogenic or likely pathogenic variants in mismatch repair genes (path_MMR) followed prospectively by the Prospective Lynch Syndrome Database (PLSD). All had colonoscopy surveillance, with polypectomy when polyps were identified. Comparison was made with a retrospective cohort reported by the International Mismatch Repair Consortium (IMRC). This comprised confirmed and inferred path_MMR carriers who were first- or second-degree relatives of Lynch syndrome probands. Results In the PLSD, 8,153 subjects had follow-up colonoscopy surveillance for a total of 67,604 years and 578 carriers had CRC diagnosed. Average cumulative incidences of CRC in path_MLH1 carriers at 70 years of age were 52% in males and 41% in females; for path_MSH2 50% and 39%; for path_MSH6 13% and 17% and for path_PMS2 11% and 8%. In contrast, in the IMRC cohort, corresponding cumulative incidences were 40% and 27%; 34% and 23%; 16% and 8% and 7% and 6%. Comparing just the European carriers in the two series gave similar findings. Numbers in the PLSD series did not allow comparisons of carriers from other continents separately. Cumulative incidences at 25 years were < 1% in all retrospective groups. Conclusions Prospectively observed CRC incidences (PLSD) in path_MLH1 and path_MSH2 carriers undergoing colonoscopy surveillance and polypectomy were higher than in the retrospective (IMRC) series, and were not reduced in path_MSH6 carriers. These findings were the opposite to those expected. CRC point incidence before 50 years of age was reduced in path_PMS2 carriers subjected to colonoscopy, but not significantly so.

Não recebi financiamento In line with the objectives and purposes for which they were created, it is in the genesis and in the attributions given to the Federal Institutes “to develop extension activities according to the principles and purposes of Vocational and Technological Education (EPT), in articulation with the world of labor and social segments, and with an emphasis on the production, development and dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge” (BRASIL, 2008). In this sense, by establishing the articulations of the EPT through academic and technological knowledge and the surrounding community, the University Extension is understood as spaces for the production of knowledge and the dialogue of systematized knowledge between the academic and the popular that result in the democratization of the knowledge. In this perspective, the starting hypothesis considers the fact that the IFPA - Campus Rural de Marabá (CRMB) is located within a settlement area and both are symbols of the achievements of the struggle and effective action of social and union movements in the countryside for the right to land. and the EPT, resulting in a public education institution based on the concept of rural education, agroecology and pedagogical alternation. Therefore, these characteristics changed the logic of making the University Extension, making it more transformative. In this research, the question is: Have university extension practices for agrarian reform settlers in the southeast of Pará Amazon in the EPT experiences in the IFPA-CRMB field have been marketing, assistentialist and/or transformative? In order to answer this question, the objective of this thesis is to understand the extensionist practices affirmed to the settlers in the EPT field experiences, taking as a case the IFPA-CRMB and the Agrarian Reform Settlements. For this, the research combines four distinct and interconnected studies. The first study describes the struggle for land and the constitution of rural settlements in southeastern Pará and the presence of the IFPA-CRMB within this territory; second, it seeks to discuss the conceptions and foundations of the EPT through the analysis of the work and education category, which give us support to discuss the ideas that were being established and the factors that influenced and legitimized the conceptions of the EPT in the face of the interests of the ruling class and the training the workforce in the stages of Brazilian capitalist development; The third seeks to base itself on legal and theoretical frameworks that deal with the concepts and conceptions of University Extension and its identity, as well as its constitution over time and its relationship with teaching and research and the place it occupies today in EPT ; and the fourth presents the University Extension at EPT at IFPA-CRMB through its projects, narratives and experiences. As part of this stage, a study was carried out of five extension projects carried out with the Agrarian Reform settlers with a focus on the dialogue of knowledge. For the scope of the research, the investigation took the perspective of historical-dialectical materialism, and used as a methodological route: bibliometrics, document analysis, semi-structured remote interview and virtual questionnaire. The results achieved allow us to conclude that the university extension carried out in the Settlements, despite the limitations found, can play a significant and transformative role in these territories in order to overcome inequalities. Studies show that university extension, when constituted from the constant interaction between the IFPA-CRMB, social movements, settlers and all democratic forces in society, can gain contours that transcend a welfare and/or marketing extensionist conception. Em consonância com os objetivos e finalidades para os quais foram criados, está na gênese e nas atribuições postas aos Institutos Federais “desenvolver atividades de extensão de acordo com os princípios e finalidades da Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (EPT), em articulação com o mundo do trabalho e os segmentos sociais, e com ênfase na produção, desenvolvimento e difusão de conhecimentos científicos e tecnológicos” (BRASIL, 2008). Nesse sentido, ao estabelecer as articulações da EPT por meio do conhecimento acadêmico e tecnológico e comunidade do seu entorno, a Extensão Universitária é compreendida como espaços de produção de conhecimento e o diálogo de saberes sistematizados entre o acadêmico e o popular que resultam na democratização do conhecimento. Nessa perspectiva, a hipótese de partida considera o fato do IFPA – Campus Rural de Marabá (CRMB) estar localizado dentro de uma área de assentamento e ambos serem símbolos das conquistas da luta e atuação efetiva dos movimentos sociais e sindicais do campo pelo direito a terra e a EPT, resultando numa instituição de ensino pública fundamentada na concepção de educação do campo, agroecologia e alternância pedagógica. Portanto, essas características mudaram a lógica de fazer a Extensão Universitária, fazendo o que ela seja mais transformadora. Nesta pesquisa, questiona-se: as práticas extensionistas universitárias para os assentados de reforma agrária no sudeste da Amazônia Paraense nas experiências da EPT do campo do IFPA-CRMB tem sido mercadológica, assistencialista e/ou transformadora? Para respondermos tal questão, o objetivo desta tese consiste em compreender as práticas extensionistas afirmadas aos assentados nas experiências da EPT do campo, tomando como caso o IFPA-CRMB e os Assentamentos de Reforma Agrária no sudeste paraense. Para isso, a pesquisa conjuga quatro estudos distintos e interligados. O primeiro estudo descreve a luta pela terra e a constituição de assentamentos rurais no sudeste paraense e a presença do IFPA-CRMB dentro desse território; segundo busca discutir as concepções e fundamentos da EPT através da análise da categoria trabalho e educação, que nos dão suporte para discutir as ideias que foram sendo estabelecidas e os fatores que influenciaram e legitimaram as concepções da EPT em face dos interesses da classe dominante e da formação da força de trabalho nas etapas do desenvolvimento capitalista brasileiro; terceiro busca se embasar em marcos legais e teóricos que tratam acerca dos conceitos e concepções sobre a Extensão Universitária e sua identidade, bem como a sua constituição ao longo do tempo e sua relação com o ensino e a pesquisa e o lugar que hoje ocupa na EPT; e o quarto apresenta a Extensão Universitária na EPT no IFPA-CRMB através dos seus projetos, narrativas e experiências. Como recorte desta etapa, realizou-se um estudo de cinco projetos extensionistas realizados junto aos assentados de Reforma Agrária com foco no diálogo de saberes. Para o alcance da pesquisa, a investigação assumiu a perspectiva do materialismo histórico-dialético, e utilizou como percurso metodológico: bibliometria, análise documental, entrevista semiestruturada de modo remoto e questionário virtual. Os resultados alcançados nos permitem concluir que a extensão universitária realizada nos Assentamentos, apesar das limitações encontradas, pode desempenhar um relevante papel significativo e transformador nesses territórios no sentido de superar as desigualdades. Os estudos evidenciam que a extensão universitária quando constituída a partir da constante interação entre o IFPA-CRMB, movimentos sociais, os assentados e todas as forças democráticas da sociedade pode ganhar contornos que transcendem uma concepção extensionista assistencialista e/ou mercadológica.

Chemistry teaching is essential for understanding the world today, however, it has characteristics of disconnection between the student’s knowledge and the program contents of the discipline. It is necessary to insert facilitating methodologies of learning, which will aid the critical formation and the promotion of reflection on the chemical knowledge, adding technological, environmental and socioeconomical aspects. Thus, to link education and society the knowledge generator themes are included in the educational field. Among these, aluminum is an important chemical element, which allows this type of approach for being associated to several scopes of applicability in the society and being present in the student’s daily life. In this context, the objective of this work is to develop a theoretical and experimental study involving such metal and to discuss its singular characteristics, not only on industrial scale, but also in a chemistry teaching perspective, generating a didactic-methodological proposal. The methodological aspects consist of 3 stages: (i) bibliographical research to know the theoretical axes existing in the literature; (ii) survey of bibliographical data and proposition of a questionnaire about the recycling processes of this metal in several daily applications; and (iii) realization of 3 classes approaching the historical and social aspects, properties and chemical reactions and 3 experiments involving aluminum, aiming at the experimental demonstration of 3 reactions in its different chemical characteristics. This study indicates that this thematic axis is favorable for the teaching-learning process, because it offers a range of specific concepts of chemistry, from chemical reactions to physical-chemical properties of the element aluminum, along with environmental biases. La enseñanza de la química es esencial para entender el mundo actual, sin embargo, tiene características de desconexión entre los conocimientos del alumno y el programa de la asignatura. Es imprescindible introducir metodologías que faciliten el aprendizaje, que ayuden a la formación crítica y al fomento de la reflexión sobre el conocimiento químico, añadiendo aspectos tecnológicos, medioambientales y socioeconómicos. Para vincular la educación y la sociedad, se incluyen temas generadores de conocimiento en el ámbito educativo. El aluminio es un elemento químico importante, que permite enfoques de esta naturaleza porque se asocia con diversas áreas de aplicabilidad en la sociedad y por su presencia en la vida cotidiana de los estudiantes. El objetivo de este estudio es desarrollar una propuesta de experimentos demostrativos con el aluminio como tema y discutir sus características únicas, no sólo a escala industrial, sino también en una perspectiva de enseñanza de la química, generando una propuesta didáctico-metodológica. Los aspectos metodológicos consisten en 3 etapas: (i) investigación bibliográfica para conocer los ejes teóricos existentes en la literatura; (ii) levantamiento de datos bibliográficos y propuesta de un cuestionario sobre los procesos de reciclaje de este metal en diversas aplicaciones cotidianas; y (III) realización de 3 clases abordando los aspectos históricos y sociales, propiedades y reacciones químicas y 3 experimentos que incluyan el uso del aluminio, buscando la demostración experimental de 3 reacciones en sus diferentes características químicas. Se considera que el presente estudio indica que este eje temático es favorable para el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, debido a que ofrece una gama de conceptos específicos de la química, desde las reacciones químicas hasta las propiedades físico-químicas del elemento aluminio, junto con los sesgos ambientales. O ensino de Química é indispensável para compreensão do mundo atual, porém, possui características de desconexão entre os saberes do educando e os conteúdos programáticos da disciplina. É imprescindível a inserção de metodologias facilitadoras da aprendizagem, que auxiliem na formação crítica e promoção da reflexão sobre o conhecimento químico, agregando aspectos tecnológicos, ambientais e socioeconômicos. Para vinculação entre educação e sociedade são incluídos os temas geradores de conhecimento no campo educacional. O alumínio é um importante elemento químico, que permite abordagens desta natureza por associar-se a diversos âmbitos de aplicabilidade na sociedade e sua presença no cotidiano do aluno. Relatório de Estágio do Mestrado em Ensino de Geografia no 3º ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário apresentado à Faculdade de Letras O presente relatório apresenta a aplicação de uma estratégia didática supervisionada, no âmbito do Estágio Curricular do Mestrado de Ensino em Geografia no 3º ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra, no ano letivo 2021/2022, bem como uma análise e reflexão do ano de estágio realizado na Escola Secundária Infanta D. Maria, em Coimbra. A notícia de jornal foi a estratégia didática aplicada por mim, no meu ano de estágio pedagógico, e tinha como principal objetivo, perceber se a notícia de jornal enquanto estratégiadidática contribui para complementar o processo de ensino e de aprendizagem dos alunos da disciplina de Geografia, procurando relacionar o que esta fonte de informação procura transmitirem termos práticos, com os conteúdos teóricos da disciplina de Geografia. A estratégia didática foi aplicada no âmbito da disciplina de Geografia A, no 10.º ano do Ensino Secundário, no âmbito do tema: “Os recursos naturais de que a população dispõe: usos, limites e potencialidades”, mais especificamente ao subtema “A radiação solar”, e dentro deste último, uma abordagem concreta, em sala de aula, da parte teórica integrante e que correspondeà “Valorização económica da radiação solar em Portugal”, tendo por referência as Aprendizagens Essenciais para este ano de escolaridade.A sua aplicação foi feita com sucesso com a turma 10º X da ESIDM, tendo sido obtido um feedback positivo por parte dos alunos a respeito da sua utilização em sala de aula, e recomendam a sua utilização futura na disciplina de Geografia. This report presents the application of a supervised didactic strategy, within the scope ofthe Curricular Internship of the Master of Teaching in Geography in the 3rd cycle of Basic Education and in Secondary Education of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra, in the academic year 2021/2022, as well as as an analysis and reflection of the year of internship held at Escola Secundária Infanta D. Maria, in Coimbra. Newspaper news was the didactic strategy applied by me, in my year of pedagogical internship, and its main objective was to understand whether newspaper news as a didactic strategy contributes to complement the teaching and learning process of Geography students. , trying to relate what this source of information seeks to convey in practical terms, with the theoretical contents of the Geography discipline.The didactic strategy was applied within the scope of the discipline of Geography A, in the 10th year of Secondary Education, under the theme: “The natural resources available to the population: uses, limits and potentialities”, more specifically to the sub-theme “A solar radiation”, and within the latter, a concrete approach, in the classroom, of the integral theoretical part that corresponds to the “Economic valorization of solar radiation in Portugal”, having as reference the Essential Learning for this school year.Its application was made successfully with the 10th X class of the ESIDM, and positive feedback was obtained from the students regarding its use in the classroom, and they recommend its future use in the Geography subject.

Objective: To characterize the access to health services of refugee women in their pregnancy-puerperal cycle in the global context. Methods: Integrative literature review whose searches were performed in PUBMED, LILACS and CINAHL databases. Studies published from 1996 to 2021 were observed. Results: Sixteen studies were selected for the final sample, according to the previously established criteria. Two themes were highlighted: Characteristics of access to health services by refugee women in the pregnancy-puerperal period and strategies used to promote better access to health. The analysis and synthesis of the results revealed the following characteristics: language barriers, late search for care, difficulties in obtaining health insurance, higher incidence of complications in pregnancy and puerperium, higher incidence of depression, problems with means of transportation, stigma and cultural discrimination, legal difficulties related to immigration, among others, as well as successful strategies and specific recommendations. Conclusion: By characterizing access, the study revealed barriers encountered by refugees in obtaining access to health care. Thus, it is essential to establish public policies worldwide that can provide adequate access to health care during pregnancy and puerperium to this vulnerable population. Objetivo: Caracterizar el acceso a los servicios de salud de las mujeres refugiadas en su ciclo gravídico-puerperal en el contexto mundial. Métodos: Revisión bibliográfica integradora cuyas búsquedas se realizaron en las bases de datos PUBMED, LILACS y CINAHL. Se observaron los estudios publicados entre 1996 y 2021. Resultados: Se seleccionaron dieciséis estudios para la muestra final según los criterios previamente establecidos. Se evidenciaron dos temas: Características del acceso a los servicios sanitarios por parte de las mujeres refugiadas en el periodo gravídico-puerperal y estrategias utilizadas para promover un mejor acceso a la salud. Los análisis y las síntesis de los participantes revelaron las siguientes características: barreras idiomáticas, tardanza en la atención, dificultades para obtener un seguro de salud, mayor incidencia de complicaciones en la gestación y el parto, mayor incidencia de depresión, problemas con los medios de locomoción, estigma y discriminación cultural, dificultades legales relacionadas con la inmigración, entre otras, además de estrategias de éxito ponderadas y recomendaciones. Conclusión: Al caracterizar el acceso, el estudio reveló las barreras encontradas por las refugiadas para obtener acceso a la salud. De este modo, es esencial el establecimiento de políticas públicas en el ámbito mundial que permitan ofrecer un acceso adecuado a la asistencia sanitaria durante el embarazo y el parto a esta población vulnerable. Objetivo: Caracterizar o acesso aos serviços de saúde de mulheres refugiadas em seu ciclo gravídico-puerperal no contexto mundial. Métodos: Revisão integrativa da literatura cujas buscas foram conduzidas nas bases de dados PUBMED, LILACS e CINAHL. Observaram-se estudos publicados a partir de 1996 a 2021. Resultados: Foram selecionados 16 estudos para compor a amostra final conforme os critérios previamente estabelecidos. Evidenciaram-se duas temáticas: Características do acesso aos serviços de saúde por mulheres refugiadas no período gravídico-puerperal e estratégias utilizadas para promover melhor acesso à saúde. As análises e sínteses dos achados revelaram as seguintes características: barreiras idiomáticas, busca tardia por atendimento, dificuldades em obter seguro saúde, maior incidência de complicações na gestação e puerpério, maior incidência de depressão, problemas com meios de locomoção, estigma e discriminação cultural, dificuldades legais relacionadas à imigração entre outros, além de estratégias de sucesso pontuais e recomendações. Conclusão: Ao caracterizar o acesso, o estudo revelou barreiras encontradas pelas refugiadas em obter acesso à saúde. Desse modo, é essencial o estabelecimento de políticas públicas no âmbito mundial que possam oferecer o acesso adequado à assistência à saúde durante a gravidez e puerpério a esta população vulnerável.
