This article is devoted to an analysis of the mechanisms and tools that promote innovative activity at Chinese companies. We describe and evaluate the model of the Chinese innovation ecosystem with its major subsystems and their interconnections. Personnel training and development are considered an element of the subsystem “Education” within the innovation ecosystem, which serve as tools for the formation of human resources to ensure the transformation of the national economy into a global center of innovation. The authors analyze the main challenges connected with level of development of the environment and the socioeconomic institutions that may impede the effective management of human resources and the various practices for training personnel at innovative companies in China. The data analyzed for this empirical study on training and development practices includes structured interviews at 60 medium and large innovative companies in China. Objective economic indicators of innovative activity were taken as measures. The analysis results allow one to identify four clusters of companies: “Innovators,” “Leader in Training,” “Stars,” and “Lagging behind,” describing the different company approaches to providing personnel training and development. Clusters vary in quantitative and qualitative indicators for personnel training and development processes, as well as economic indicators of innovation activity. The results prove that a relationship exists between approaches to personnel training and development and innovative activity results and suggest that training and development initiatives are effective tools for managing innovative companies.

In this paper, based on experiment result in a hydrogen fueled engine, pre-ignition and transforming process from pre-ignition to backfire of the hydrogen fueled engine was analyzed. Moreover, mechanism of pre-ignition and backfire of hydrogen fueled engines was studied by analyzing chain reaction. The analysis shows that the temperature, pressure and rate of pressure rise have great influence on pre-ignition and backfire. And based on thermodynamic relations of heat release rate, both pre-ignition and backfire were also analyzed. Finally, optimization control model which has multi-variables, multi-objectives and multi-constraints was established. And the simulation was carried out through the genetic algorithm. Results have shown that the excess air ratio and ignition advance angle can be adjusted by weighted coefficients to optimize the power output and restrict the abnormal combustion. Thus, a useful method is shown to resolve the contradictions between restricting the abnormal combustion and improving hydrogen fueled engine’s power output.

Objectives: microRNAs (miRNAs) play essential roles in many tumors, including renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The aim of the present study was to investigate the expression and functional role of miR-29b in RCC and to identify its target genes. Methods: We determined the expression of miR-29b in clear cell RCC (ccRCC) tissues and RCC cell lines (786-O, A498, and SN12-PM6) using quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). The associations between miR-29b expression and clinical pathological parameters and prognosis were explored. Besides, the role of miR-29b in the SN12-PM6 cells proliferation, apoptosis, cycle, and invasion were investigated after transduction with lentivirus vectors. The kines in family member 1B (KIF1B), possible miR-29b target genes, were predicted using bioinformatics approaches, as well as the role in the pathogenesis of RCC. Results: Elevated expression of miR-29b was found in both tumor tissues and cell lines. High expression of miR-29b was significantly associated with tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) stage (P = 0.026) and the overall survival (P = 0.009) in the ccRCC. Inhibition of miR-29b expression could promote apoptosis, and inhibit proliferation and invasion ability in SN12-PM6 cells. Also, we confirmed that miR-29b could directly regulate the expression of KIF1B at the post transcriptional level. Conclusion: These data suggest that miR-29b acts as an oncomiR, promoting proliferation and invasion ability through KIF1B suppression, and it might be a potential marker for prognosis of RCC.
