The clinical application value of most kinds of photothermal transforming agents remains limited, due to their poor degradation and minimal accumulation in tumors.Materials and methods: We reported the synthesis of photothermal transforming agents (MoS2) and chemotherapeutic (doxorubicin, DOX) co-loaded electrospun nanofibers using blend electrospinning for the treatment of postoperative tumor recurrence.Results: Under the irradiation of an 808 nm laser, the as-prepared chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol/MoS2/DOX nanofibers showed an admirable photothermal conversion capability with a photothermal conversion efficiency of 23.2%. These composite nanofibers are in vitro and in vivo biocompatible. In addition, they could control the sustained release of DOX and the generated heat can sensitize the chemotherapeutic efficacy of DOX via enhancing its release rate. Their chemo-/photothermal combined therapy efficiency was systematically studied in vitro and in vivo. Instead of circulating with the body fluid, MoS2 was trapped by the nanofibrous matrix in the tumor and so its tumor-killing ability was not compromised, thus rendering this composite nanofiber a promising alternative for future clinical translation within biomedical application fields.Conclusion: Chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol/MoS2/DOX nanofibers showed an excellent photothermal conversion capability with a photothermal conversion efficiency of 23.2% and can completely inhibit the postoperative tumor reoccurrence.Keywords: electrospinning, chitosan, chemotherapy, photothermal tumor therapy, tumor

In this report, we apply an input-output transformation passivation method, described in our previous works, to an Adaptive Cruise Control system. We analyze the system's performance under a co-simulation framework that makes use of an online optimization method called extremum-seeking to achieve the optimized behavior. The matrix for passivation method encompasses commonly used methods of series, feedback and feed-forward interconnections for passivating the system. We have previously shown that passivity levels can be guaranteed for a system using our passivation method. In this work, an extremum-seeking algorithm was used to determine the passivation parameters. It is known that systems with input-output time-delays are not passive. On the other hand, time-delays are unavoidable in automotive systems and commonly emerge in software implementations and communication units as well as driver's behavior. We show that by using our passivation method, we can passivate the system and improve its overall performance. Modern cyber-physical systems (CPS) have a close inter-dependence between software and physical components. Automotive embedded systems are typical CPS, as physical chips, sensors and actuators are physical components and software embedded within are the cyber components. The current stage of embedded systems is highly complex in architecture design for both software and hardware. It is common in industrial practice that high level control algorithm development and low level code implementation on hardware platforms are developed separately with limited shared information. However, software code and hardware architecture become closely related with the increasing complexity. Correlated requirements and dependencies between hardware and software are emerging problems of industrial practice. We demonstrate in this paper a method to link model based system design with real-time simulations and analysis of the architecture model. Aggradations are very important for the developing and dying-out of lakes. The aggradations of floods and debris flows are common environmental problems in fault lakes in southwestern China. Investigating the background of the basin of Goose Foot River, the effect of human activities on Lake Qionghai, Sichuan Province, China, and the underwater topography maps of 1988 and 2003 were analyzed. In the past 30 years, turbidity currents were formed by debris flows and floods of Goose Foot River and took huge sediment into Lake Qionghai. The sediment not only pushed the coastline of Lake Qionghai at Goose Foot River fan into lake, but also deposited in the lake to the opposite bank. Debris flows took much more sediment into Lake Qionghai than the soil erosion did in the same basin. There is an underwater levee on the underwater fan. The underwater levee is 2 km in length, 200 m ( at south coast) to 600 m (at north coast) in width and the average 2 m in height. The maximum height of sediment deposition at underwater levee is 8. 29 m, or 0. 55 m for every year. There is a channel on the slope of the underwater fan of Goose Foot River mouth eroded by turbidity currents. The main source of sediment is the sediment token by the debris flows in 1996, 1997 and 1998. It should be paid more attention on the environment issues,such as basic characteristics, underwater topography of Lake Qionghai and the effect of Goose Foot River debris flows on Lake Qionghai.
