Enclaves in intermediate-acid plutons from Tongling can be divided into three types: xenoliths, relics and magmatogenic enclaves. The magmatogenic enclaves consist of cumulates, micrograined dioritite mixtite and dioritic chilled border enclaves. Petrologically, relics with eyed and meta-poikilitic texture are characterized by high content of biotite (>80%) and low content of cordierite and grossular. The cumulates with accumulate texture consist of a great amount of pyroxene, hornblende and minor spinel and phlogopite. The micrograined dioritic mixtite is composed of more hornblendes and feldspar and less needle apatites and an ellipsoid basic core included in plagioclase. The chilled border enclaves have the same mineral association, but more dark minerals than the host rocks consisting of plagioclase, quartz, alkaline feldspar, hornblende and biotite. Geochemically, the relics exhibit high REE content (455.8×10−6) and high ratio of LREE/HREE, more obvious Eu negative anomaly and are rich in Cr and Ni, poor in Ba, Nb and Sr. All kinds of magmatogenic enclaves have the same REE pattern without Eu anomaly, and the total REE is 74.9×10−6 for spinel pyroxene cumulate, 179.7×10−6 for hornblende cumulate, 226.9 × 10−6 for hornblende cumulate crystal, 289.9×10−6 for micrograined dioritic mixtite and 131.2×10−6 for chilled border enclaves. Calculation with the thermometer and barometer for minerals shows that the temperature and pressure of formation are 1126 °C and 8.44 kbar (7.15–9.04 kbar) for the spinel pyroxene cumulate, 1065 °C-1029 °C and 8.23 kbar (7.13–9.50 kbar) for the hornblende pyroxene cumulate, 959 °C and 3.40 kbar (2.86–4.09 kbar) for the micrograined dioritic mixtite enclaves, and 951 °C and 0.59 kbar for the dioritic chilled border enclaves, respectively. Thus, the following conclusions can be drawn. Relic enclaves were derived from the crustal partial melting and all cumulate enclaves originated from deep magma chambers near the Moho in the lower crust, which are cumulate fragments formed by fractional crystallization of basic magma; mixtite came from shallow magma chambers in the middle-upper crust, formed by the mixture of mantle-derived magma and acid magma derived from the crustal partial melting; and the chilled border enclaves came from the border fragments of early intrusive bodies.

The composition and carbon isotope composition of about 150 natural gas samples reveal that natural gases of deep strata in Songliao Basin are derived from multiple sources and the coal-type gases are widely distributed in the basin. Several gas fields show features of coal-type gases or contain coal-type gases, with δ13C2 being larger than −28 ‰ and δ13CMCC6 being larger than −22‰, such as Shengping gas field in the north of the basin, Xiaohelong and Xiaochengzi gas fields in the south. Organic matter of source rocks in the deep strata is dominantly Type III, with a small portion of Type II. The average TOC of source rocks in the Shahezi (K1sh) Formation is 1.99%. Sedimentary facies studies of single wells, which penetrated coals of the Shahezi Formation, indicate that these coals are developed in peat swamps of deltaic plain, depressions between fan deltas, coastal shallow lakes, flooding plain etc, and structures are mainly distributed in the boundary of fault depressions, especially in their slope, some in the center of lakes. We exploit the recoil loop measurements to study the asymmetric magnetization reversal in an exchange-biased La0.37Sr0.33MnO3/La0.33Ca0.67MnO3 bilayer film. It is found that the recoil curve encloses a marked area only in the second quadrant of the hysteresis loop, and the recoil susceptibility in the descending branch of the major loop is evidently higher than that in the ascending branch. The study indicates that the exchange anisotropy of a unidirectional nature and an orientation deviated from the easy axis of the ferromagnetic layer plays a crucial role in creating the reversal asymmetry.

Inflammasome pattern recognition receptors, which belong to the family of multi-meric proteins, play an important role in innate immunity, including NLRPs, NLRC, and NAIP. Among these receptors, NLRP3 (nucleotide-binding domain (NOD)-like receptor protein 3) inflammasome may activate the inflammation and participate in atherosclerosis, pathophysiology of myocardial infarction, resultin ischemia/reperfusion injury and stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. Effective regulation of NLRP3 may help prevent or even treat stroke. In recent years, the role of inflammation in stroke has attracted much attention, and the in-depth study of its mechanism of action is gradually clear. This mini-review focuses on the association of regulatory mechanisms of NLRP3 inflammasome with the development of stroke, which may supply some clues for future therapies and novel drug targets for stroke.

The western Kunlun orogenic belt in western China evolved through the development of a large subduction–accretionary complex, including flysch sediments and granitic plutons, and by collision of three terranes, namely the North and South Kunlun and Karakorum–Qiangtang blocks from the early Paleozoic to the early Mesozoic. North-dipping subduction of the Paleo–Tethys ocean beneath the Kunlun terranes, which may have commenced in the Cambrian, produced an early Paleozoic Andean-type magmatic arc on the South Kunlun, and a marginal back arc basin, represented by the early Paleozoic Oytag–Kudi ophiolite belt, between the North and South Kunlun. A northward subduction zone consumed the basin and the young, hot upper plate lithosphere was obducted southward onto the South Kunlun following closure of the basin. This resulted in collision of the North and South Kunlun in the early Devonian. Continuous northward subduction of Paleo–Tethys resulted in the development of a Carboniferous–Triassic magmatic arc, and a back arc rifting sequence composed of the Carboniferous to Permian carbonates and clastic sediments on the North and South Kunlun terranes. The Paleo–Tethys ocean finally closed in the late Triassic–early Jurassic, when the Kunlun and Karakorum–Qiangtang blocks were accreted, with the Kara–Kunlun accretionary prism marking their suture zone.

We have found phase separation in La0.45Sr0.55MnO3-δ (LSMO) by means of electron spin resonance, magnetic force microscopy (MFM) and magnetic measurements. Ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic phases can coexist at low temperatures and ferromagnetic and paramagnetic phases coexist when the temperature lies between the Neel and Curie temperatures. The size and shape of the ferromagnetic phases (the minority phases) was first observed directly from MFM images. It is suggested that the phase separation in LSMO is not the charge segregation type, but an electroneutral type due perhaps to the nonuniform distribution of oxygen vacancies.

Magnetic and transport properties of La0.5Ca0.5MnO3 have been investigated by measuring the magnetization and resistance in zero-field-cooled (ZFC) and held-cooled (FG) modes. Conspicuously irreversible behaviors of magnetization/resistance in the two different modes were observed below the charge ordering transition temperature (T-CO) The ZFG and FC magnetizations at 5K, as functions of the magnetic field, coincide for mu(0)H less than or equal to 1T Afterwards, the ZFC magnetization tends to an approximate constant, but the FC one increases linearly with increasing field. There exists an excellent correspondence between magnetization and resistance below T-CO All the results suggest that the ferromagnetic clusters embed in the charge-ordered matrix. The phenomenon of ferromagnetic clusters growing up easily in the FC procedure has been interpreted according to the model of thermally activated two-level system.

A new tabletop confocal micro x-ray fluorescence setup with an MCBM 50-0.6B x-ray tube is assembled. The confocal micro x-ray fluorescence setup includes two lenses, a polycapillary full lens in the excitation channel and a polycapillary half lens in the detection channel. A Ni-Cr wire in diameter 25 μm is used to investigate the FWHM of three-dimensional confocal volume. A basso-relievo capital letter of a 1-jiao RMB coin of 2005 version is studied with this confocal micro x-ray fluorescence setup.

The Changle–Nanao ductile shear zone was developed from a suture zone. The evidence from the ductile fabrics and mylonitic microstructures indicates that the strike-slip was sinistral during pre-collision. It became dominantly dextral in the syn-collision stage in late Early Cretaceous. The dextral strike-slip movement continued in the post-collision stage with extension as the dominant process. The strike-slip movement of the zone was strictly controlled by dynamics of collision between the Fujian (Min)–Taiwan (Tai) microcontinent and the Fujian (Min)–Zhejiang (Zhe) Mesozoic volcanic arc during the time interval of 100–120 Ma. The Min–Tai microcontinent in which the ductile shear zone developed might have been located originally to the south of its present position. The northward migration of the microcontinent had contributed to a few hundred kilometers of drift rather than a shear displacement. The real shear displacement is small due to the change of strike-slip direction from sinistral to dextral.

The aim of this study is to examine the factor structure of the scale of Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS), and its divergent and convergent validity in Chinese population. Data were collected with JSS from 1073 urban employees in Liaoning. Four alternative models were tested with confirmatory factor analysis. The first two models are models validated in the US, while the third and fourth models are composed of five commonly used dimensions of job satisfaction taken from JSS. The research found a poor model fit for the first two models, suggesting a possible national difference between China and the US. However, model three and model four displayed a good model fit, suggesting that the five dimensions in JSS (satisfaction with nature of work, with supervision, with co-worker, with promotion, and with pay) are five distinct dimensions. The correlations between these five facet job satisfaction and PA and NA demonstrated convergent and divergent validity of the scales for these five dimensions of job satisfaction.

Structural, magnetic, and transport properties of perovskite La2/3Ca1/3Mn1-xSixO3 (x = 0, 0.025, 0.05) have been studied. The incorporation of Si decreases the overall resistivity, but obviously increases the Curie temperature (TC), metal-insulator transition temperature (TP), and the magnetoresistance ratio MR (defined as [R(0) - R(H)]/R(0)) near room temperature. Comparing with La2/3Ca1/3MnO3, the TC, TP, and MR of the sample with x = 0.05 increase by 30, 45K, and 20%, respectively. Lattice effects may play a more important role than the magnetic dilution in the case of low Si substitution.

Based on the perspective of dynamic game, an analysis on the main performance of moral risks of open-ended fund is made and a multi-stage dynamic co-operation game model of open-ended fund is given as well. Then deep-seated reasons that have hindered cooperative game of several parties and caused moral hazards to the open-ended funds are listed. In the end, countermeasures and suggestions to reduce the moral risks of open-ended fund are put forward.

The morphological evolution in La(0.5)Ca(0.5)MnO(3)/SrTiO(3)(100) ultrathin films has been revealed by atomic force microscopy. It was found that ordered linear defects, which are in 1-2 unit cells high and oriented along the cubic [110] and [100] directions, first appear on the smooth surface of films with a thickness of 10 nm. As the epitaxial growth proceeds, these lines on surface develop into a crosshatch pattern for films with a thickness of 25 nm. Using the results of transmission electron microscopy and electrical measurements, we discuss the interplay between the surface pattern formation, the internal dislocation structure, and the variations in the electrical properties.

The number of electronic journals has grown dramatically in recent years. Many publishers and aggregators have developed various systems facilitating access and management of electronic journals. Electronic journals have created unprecedented opportunities for information institutions. At the same time, electronic journals have also brought profound impact on the library work. The literature review showed that empirical studies which address the possible implications of electronic journals on library work are lacking. A research project on management of electronic journals was undertaken focusing on the following areas: 1. Features of current electronic journal systems 2. Practices of libraries for handling electronic journals 3. Status of electronic journals in Singapore libraries Master of Applied Science

The polycrystalline perovskite-phase PT/PZT/PT ferroelectric thin film was prepared by sol-gel method. The domain and domain wall structures were investigated by scanning force microscopy. The out-of-plane polarization(OPP), in-plane polarization(IPP), the OPP amplitude and OPP phase images were obtained. The domain of the film has a complex structure with c-domain and deviated-c-domain the direction of which deviated from the surface normal of the film. The complex domain structure is related to the orientation of the crystal grains in the film. For the［111］oriented films, the 180° domain wall is formed when deviated-c-domains have reverse directions in OPP and IPP. The 90° domain wall is formed when the domains have the same direction in OPP and reverse directions in IPP, or when they have reverse directions in OPP and same direction in IPP.

Lanthanum doped lead titanate (PLT) ferroelectric thin films were grown on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si(100) substrates using RF magnetron sputtering. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) was applied to study crystalline properties of PLT films, and XRD patterns of PLT thin films show that there appeared (111) preferred-oriented tetragonal perovskite phase. The ferroelectric domain patterns and the corresponding topography of PLT thin films have been investigated using piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), respectively. PFM observations show that there exist nanoscale banded 90° domain patterns 20 to 60 nm in width and low energy head-to-tail polarization configurations in PLT film. The relationship between fabricating conditions and properties of PLT10 thin films was studied. It was found that PLT10 thin film fabricated under the optimized conditions possess dielectric constant εr=365, dielectric loss tgδ=0.02, and pyroelectric coefficient γ=2.18×10-8C·(cm2·K)-1, respectively. The PLT thin films could meet the needs for uncooled pyroelectric infrared sensors.

The cantilever split-morph, a new type of piezoelectric actuator, have been designed for dual-stage head positioning servo system of high density hard disk drives. In this actuator configuration, a PZT ceramic plate, with one end mechanically clamped and the other free, was poled along its thickness and divided into two symmetric parts along length by splitting electrodes. Driving voltages are preferably so arranged that they make one of the two parts expand by the “31”action while the other part, i.e., the symmetric part, contracts. This will result in a bending motion of the actuator along the direction of its width. The driving voltage-tip displacement characteristics of the actuator have been investigated by theoretical analysis, finite element modeling and experiment. Theoretical analysis indicated that the electric field induced stress is much smaller than stretch strength of piezoelectric ceramic. Tip displacement measured by Michelson interferometer is a little larger than the calculated result. This is mainly due to the increase of piezoelectric coefficient d31 at high driving field. Tip displacement of 1 to 2μm can be achieved at 20 to 50V driving voltage for the split-morph whose size is similar to that of the existing suspension. As to 25 kTPI (track per inch) high track density hard disk drives, this actuating stroke can cover at least one track width and meet the primary requirements of dual-stage head positioning servo system for displacement of the secondary actuator.

We have prepared antiferroelectric ceramics with compositions of (Pb0.97La0.02)(Zr1-x-ySnyTix)O3(x=0.09 or 0.1; 0.16≤y≤0.38) near antiferroelectric (AFE)tetragonal-ferroelectric (FE)rhombohedral morphotropic phase boundary. The effects of Sn content on electric field-induced AFE→FE switching field Ec, double-hysteresis-loop width ΔE, and temperature-induced FE→AFE phase transition temperature TFE, AFE→paraelectric (PE) transition temperature Tc are investigated. At constant Ti content x, both TEF and Tc decrease with increase of Sn content y. Electric hysteresis loop measurement demonstrates an increase of Ec and decrease of ΔE when Sn content y increases. Furthermore, we also find that Ec and ΔE are related with TFE and Tc. In situ X-ray diffraction under dc bias field shows that symmetry changes from tetragonal phase to rhombohedral phase with an increase of c axis,and an increase of lattice volume.
