The reproduction of a musical work by a performer forms a special sphere of his creative being transformative, perceived by him on a sensual level. The personified functions of performing interpretation come to the fore and acquire their own special meanings: suggestion, evaluation of the “event”, imitation, imitation, contemplation, “sensual deception”, actualization of the musical text into an aesthetic ideal for its subsequent reproduction. The artistic process of performing interpretation is considered in the article as its emotional and value meaning. This problematic area of performance interpretation intersects with artistic and aesthetic knowledge, the specificity of which lies in the emotional and figurative color of reality. It is shown that the piano-performing interpretation represents the universal nature of the pianist's activity. Its core is the search for the meaning of the composition, which involves not only the individual decoding of the signs and symbols embedded in it, but also their integration into a holistic concept. The object of this study is the musical language of the professional academic tradition as a system of means in a semantic projection. The subject of study is semantic clichés, formulas of meanings that have developed in musical practice as a reflection of cultural conventions, traditions and metamorphoses in their use.

Massive carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are widely assumed to be the driver of the end-Permian mass extinction (EPME). However, the rate of and total CO2 released, and whether the source changes with time, remain poorly understood, leaving a key question surrounding the trigger for the EPME unanswered. Here, we assimilate reconstructions of atmospheric Pco2 and carbonate δ13C in an Earth system model to unravel the history of carbon emissions and sources across the EPME. We infer a transition from a CO2 source with a thermogenic carbon isotopic signature associated with a slower emission rate to a heavier, more mantle-dominated volcanic source with an increased rate of emissions. This implies that the CO2 degassing style changed as the Siberian Traps emplacement evolved, which is consistent with geochemical proxy records. Carbon cycle feedbacks from terrestrial ecosystem disturbances may have further amplified the warming and the severity of marine extinctions.

As a fundamental data format representing spatial information, depth map is widely used in signal processing and computer vision fields. Massive amount of high precision depth maps are produced with the rapid development of equipment like laser scanner or LiDAR. Therefore, it is urgent to explore a new compression method with better compression ratio for high precision depth maps. Utilizing the wide spread deep learning environment, we propose an end-to-end learning-based lossless compression method for high precision depth maps. The whole process is comprised of two sub-processes, named pre-processing of depth maps and deep lossless compression of processed depth maps. The deep lossless compression network consists of two sub-networks, named lossy compression network and lossless compression network. We leverage the concept of pseudo-residual to guide the generation of distribution for residual and avoid introducing context models. The manipulation of symmetry provides an effective way to tailor the physical orders in solid-state systems. With the breaking of both the inversion and time-reversal symmetries, non-reciprocal magneto-transport may emerge in assorted non-magnetic systems to enrich spintronic physics. Here, we report the observation of the uni-directional magneto-resistance (UMR) in the lattice-matched InSb/CdTe film up to room temperature. Benefiting from the strong built-in electric field of $0.13 \mathrm{~V} \cdot \mathrm{nm}^{-1}$ in the hetero-junction region, the resulting Rashba-type spin-orbit coupling and quantum confinement warrant stable angular-dependent second-order charge current with the non-reciprocal coefficient 1-2 orders of magnitude larger than most non-centrosymmetric materials at 298 K. More importantly, this heterostructure configuration enables highly-efficient gate tuning of the rectification response in which the enhancement of the UMR amplitude by 40% is realized. Our results advocate the narrow-gap semiconductor-based hybrid system with the robust two-dimensional interfacial spin texture as a suitable platform for the pursuit of controllable chiral spin-orbit devices and applications.

Teratological spores and pollen are widespread in sediments that record the Permian-Triassic mass extinction. The malformations are thought to be the result of extreme environmental conditions at that time, but the mutagenic agents and the precise timing of the events remain unclear. We examined the abundance of teratological sporomorphs and metal concentrations in a Permian-Triassic tropical peatland succession of southwestern China. We find a significant peak of spore tetrads of lycopsid plants (as much as 19% of all sporomorphs) coeval with increases in Cu and Hg concentrations above the main terrestrial extinction interval, which marks the loss of Permian Gigantopteris forests, increased wildfire activity, and the disappearance of coal beds. Thus, in tropical peatlands, mutagenesis affected only surviving plants. Mutagenesis was likely caused by metal toxicity, linked to increased Hg and Cu loading, but was not itself a direct cause of the terrestrial crisis.

Three new types of chalcogenate-bridged adamantane-like clusters of the zinc-group elements have been studied in detail: those with alkylthiolates as bridging ligands, formulated as (({dollar}\mu{dollar}-{dollar}\rm SAlk)\sb6(MX)\sb4\rbrack\sp{lcub}2-{rcub}{dollar} (Alk = Me, Et, 1-Pr, 2-Pr, 1-Bu, 2-Bu, c-{dollar}\rm C\sb6H\sb{lcub}11{rcub}{dollar}(Cy), or CH{dollar}\sb2{dollar}Ph (Bz); M = Zn, Cd, or Hg; X = Cl, Br, or I); those with phosphines as terminal ligands, formulated as (({dollar}\mu{dollar}-ER){dollar}\sb6{dollar}(CdPPh{dollar}\sb3)\sb{lcub}4-n{rcub}{dollar}(Cd){dollar}\sb{lcub}n{rcub}\rbrack \sp{lcub}2+{rcub}{dollar} (E = S or Se; R = 1-Pr, 2-Pr, 1-{dollar}\rm C\sb5H\sb{lcub}11{rcub}{dollar} (1-Pe), Cy, or Ph; n = 0, 1, or 2); and those with halides as bridging ligands, formulated as (({dollar}\mu{dollar}-ER){dollar}\sb{lcub}6-m{rcub}(\mu{dollar}-X){dollar}\sb{lcub}m{rcub}{dollar}(MX){dollar}\sb4\rbrack\sp{lcub}2-{rcub}{dollar} (E = S or Se; R = Et, 1-Pr, 2-Pr, 1-Bu, Cy, of Ph; m = 0, 1, or 2; X = Cl, Br, or I; M = Cd or Hg).
