Using Landsat TM and OLI multispectral image data, the accuracy of extracting sea area from different water body indices is compared. Finally, the improved normalized water body index (MNDWI) is selected to study the dynamic characteristics of the coastline and the progress of reclamation of Dalian in 1996, 2005, and 2015. The results show that: from 1996 to 2005, the area of land reclamation in Dalian reached 31.58km2, and 83.55km2 for 2015-2015. It is mainly used for dock construction, industrial land, aquaculture ponds, port docks, construction sites, residents Land, commercial and financial land, etc.; from 1996 to 2015, the total length of the coastline increased by 132.77km. The length of the artificial shoreline increased significantly, with its continuity in spatial distribution increased; the length of the bedrock shoreline was reduced due to the destruction of reclamation projects. Although large-scale land reclamation has brought good economic and social benefits to the local area, it also has a large impact on the marine and forest ecological environment. It is recommended to moderately develop coastal zone resources and further strengthen monitoring and supervision mechanisms.

In earth science education, observation of field geological phenomena is very important. Due to China's huge student population, it is difficult to guarantee education fairness and teaching quality in field teaching. Specimens are indispensable geo-education resources. However, the specimen cabinet or picture specimen library has many limitations and it is difficult to meet the internet-spirit or geo-teaching needs. Based on photo modeling, this research builds a 3D Geo-Resource Sharing Library (3DGRSL) for Geo-Education. It uses the Cesium engine and data-oriented distributed architecture to provide the educational resources to many universities. With Browser/Server (B/S) architecture, the system can realize multi-terminal and multi-scenario access of mobile phones, tablets, VR, PC, indoor, outdoor, field, providing a flexible and convenient way for preserving and sharing scientific information about geo-resources. This makes sense to students who cannot accept field teaching in under-funded colleges, and the ones with mobility problems. Tests and scoring results show that 3DGRSL is a suitable solution for displaying and sharing geological specimens. It has become a hot research direction under the background of artificial intelligence to effectively organize geological big data and to mine corresponding potential value. The knowledge graph, as a new form of knowledge representation, can effectively organize and represent data. This paper presents the deposit model ontology according to the triune framework of “ ore-forming geological body, ore-forming structure and structural plane, and mineralization mark” by centering on the deposit model, sets up the knowledge graph with the “branch intersection, top-down action and step-by-step layering” method, expresses and mines big data for geological text in the form of knowledge graph, and establishes a special knowledge graph for deposit model with semantic processing capacity and open interconnection capacity, providing a routine to match geological data from new perspective and showing the integrity and relevance of genesis features of deposits on deeper level. The results show this method can effectively realize semantic correlation and constraints between deposit model ontology, as well as retrieval and reasoning of correlation objects, and prove the usefulness of the research workflow in this paper.

The technology of 2D GM-SYS gravity-magnetic inversion improved the reliability of geological sections, but the result of inversion can’t be imported into the GoCAD software to build the 3D geological model directly. A software, named G2G, is developed based on the file formats of GM-SYS and GoCAD, to transfer the GM-SYS inversion sections into GoCAD software format’s files, improving the efficiency of 3D geological modeling.
