인류가 탄생한 이래 인간은 대상에 의미를 부여하며 문화를 형성해 나가고 있다. 문화는 공동체 속에서 오랜 역사를 거치며 상징화 된다. 상징에는 그 민족의 정서, 세계관, 행동양식, 사고방식 등 모든 삶과 앎이 총체적으로 깃들어 있다. 공동체로서 그 구성원들의 사상과 관념이 반영된, 민족의 정체성을 반영한 언어가 바로 상징인 것이다. 『삼국유사』는 신라시대와 소통할 수 있는 연결고리가 되는 중요한 저서로, 다양한 종류의 식물이 등장하여 그 당시 신라인들의 세계관과 가치관을 반영하고 있다. 『삼국유사』에 나타난 식물의 문화적 상징에 대한 연구는 신라인들의 의식이 투영된 매개체인 식물을 통해 그 시대의 문화를 이해하고 공감하며 소통할 수 있는 장을 마련해 줄 수 있으며, 보이고 실재하는 외면의 화려함보다 보이지 않는 내면에 가치를 둔 신라인들의 사유를 통해 오늘날 우리가 가진 인식을 전환해 볼 수 있는 계기를 마련해 줄 수 있다. 또한 개념적이고 표준화된 앎이 아닌 삶의 공간 속에서 감각을 통해 체득하는 생동감 있는 앎을 중요시한 신라인들의 ‘지(知)’를 통해 오늘날 우리 교육의 모습을 성찰해 볼 수 있다는 점에서 그 교육적 의미를 고찰할 수 있다.

The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is the proportion of absolute neutrophil count to lymphocytes on routine complete blood count (CBC) tests, and has been studied as a simple marker of the systemic inflammatory response. This study was performed to investigate whether the NLR could be used as a tool to diagnose and predict prognosis in cases of adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD). We retrospectively reviewed 164 patients with suspected AOSD. Among 164 patients with suspected AOSD, 37 patients received another diagnosis (such as viral infection) and were compared with the 127 patients who received a diagnosis of AOSD. Laboratory tests including CBCs, ferritin, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP) level, and the NLR were evaluated.
