To establish a highly sensitive time-resolved fluorescence immunoassay (TRFIA) of kidney injury molecule-1 (Kim-1) and evaluate its clinical value in acute kidney injury (AKI).The Kim-1-TRFIA was established by the double-antibody sandwich method, and the method was evaluated. The established Kim-1-TRFIA was used to detect the concentration of Kim-1 in the serum of healthy controls and patients with AKI.The optimal coating antibody concentration and optimal EuA highly sensitive Kim-1-TRFIA was established. With this immunoassay, a good differential diagnosis can be made, and healthy people and AKI patients can be differentiated by detecting the concentration of Kim-1 in the serum. Moreover, the severity of AKI patients can be determined.

Electroencephalogram (EEG) has been widely utilized in emotion recognition. Psychologists have found that emotions can be divided into conscious emotion and unconscious emotion. In this article, we explore to classify subliminal emotions (happiness and anger) with EEG signals elicited by subliminal face stimulation, that is to select appropriate features to classify subliminal emotions. First, multi-scale sample entropy (MSpEn), wavelet packet energy (Ei), and wavelet packet entropy (WpEn) of EEG signals are extracted. Then, these features are fed into the decision tree and improved random forest, respectively. The classification accuracy with Ei and WpEn is higher than MSpEn, which shows that Ei and WpEn can be used as effective features to classify subliminal emotions. We compared the classification results of different features combined with the decision tree algorithm and the improved random forest algorithm. The experimental results indicate that the improved random forest algorithm attains the best classification accuracy for subliminal emotions. Finally, subliminal emotions and physiological proof of subliminal affective priming effect are discussed.

Geometric reward function is proposed as an alternative choice to circumvent the problem of compounding. However, it’s not so desirable since no parties have incentives to participate in the consensus mechanism. In this paper, we tailor a new bonus reward function by adding random salts to the geometric reward function. The new reward function is a tradeoff between equitablity and incentive compatibility. We conclude that the quitability of the new reward function is optimal compared with others. Beyond that, we present Gini coefficients to fine-evaluate euqitability of reward functions. We propose a new metric (aka. reward ratio) to quantify the level of incentive compatibility. Our simulation results show that the new reward function performs better than others in both incentive compatibility and anti-compounding.

Sleep quality has great effect on physical and mental health. Severe insomnia will cause autonomic neurological dysfunction. For making good clinical decisions, it is crucial to extract features of sleep quality and accurately predict the mental illness. Prior studies have a number of deficiencies to be overcome. On the one hand, the selected features for sleep quality are not good enough, as they do not account for multisource and heterogeneous features. On the other hand, the mental illness prediction model does not work well and thus needs to be enhanced and improved. This paper presents a multi-dimensional feature extraction method and an ensemble prediction model for mental illness. First, we do correlation analysis for every indicators and sleep quality, and further select the optimal heterogeneous features. Next, we propose a combinational model, which is integrated by basic modules according to their weights. Finally, we perform abundant experiments to test our method. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach outperforms many state-of-the-art approaches.

The rapid emergence of blended learning has sparked a great deal of research interest in the field of educational data mining. We apply the novel educational form of blended learning in the undergraduate curriculum of python programming. With the questionnaire before curriculum is obtained to capture the basic information of undergraduate students, we design educational resources and activities for online studying and face-to-face teaching. Since the learning process of each student is captured continuously, we make teaching and learning evaluations weekly to improve current teaching methods hence arouse students’ interest of continuous learning. With analyzing data and mining knowledge received in the process of blended learning, some beneficial results are gained to promote the quality of blended learning in the undergraduate curriculum of python programming, and benefit the undergraduate students as well as higher education in the long run.

英文摘要: The gas flow characteristics for various shapes of micro diffuser/nozzles have been experimentally investigated. The micro diffuser/nozzles with the lengths of 70 mu m, 90 mu m, 125 mu m and the taper angles of 7 degrees, 10 degrees, 14 degrees are designed and fabricated based on silicon micromachining technology for optimizing and comparing. The flat-wall diffuser/nozzle is 40 mu m x 5 mu m in depth and width. An experimental setup is designed to measure the gas flow rates under controlled temperature and pressure condition. Optimized values for the taper angle and the length of the diffuser/nozzle are experimentally obtained.

U-shaped and rectangle piezoresistive cantilever arrays have been designed with the analysing results of stress, noise and sensitivity of the cantilevers. Based on silicon micromachining technology, the piezoresistive cantilevers were fabricated by using polysilicon as the piezoresistive materials. With the measurement results of noise and sensitivity, the Hooge factor is calculated to be 3×10-3, the gauge factor is 27, and the minimum detectable deflection of piezoresistive cantilevers are calculated to be 1.0 nm for rectangle cantilever and 0.5 nm for the U-shaped cantilever at a 6 V bias voltage and a 1000 Hz measurement bandwidth. Using polymer-coated cantilevers as individual sensors, their responses to water vapour and ammonia were tested by measuring their output voltage signals. The measured results show that the sensor sensitivity to ammonia can reach a few ppm and the sensor responses are quick.

This paper designed an attitude control system which is based on the attitude detection and feedback and mainly for the application of intelligent electric wheelchairs' stability control. And the effectiveness of the system is verified through the simulation experiment.

This essay was accomplished by monitoring and controlling H, BU, T/C and other indexes of the 10 excellent men dragon-boat athletes who won the championship in the college students group in the First annual ICDBF Championships in the three-cycle training before the competition, and the research was conducted by following and testing the every athletes' anaerobic threshold power and 2000 average power with the dragon-boat testing power and 2000 average power with testing power instruments. Based on the research, there is a connection between the volume of training load intensity and motor function before the dragon boat competitions. The index of the athletes' anaerobic threshold power rose up quickly, and increased slowly, at last reached a stagnate phase. The research showed that reasonably arrangements for the training content of each cycle, strength and load had a significant impact on improving the capacity of the athletes' aerobic power. and the athletes' performance

Micro diffuser/nozzle pump are widely used in µTAS. As the diffuser/nozzles are the key parts for micro diffuser/nozzle pumps, this paper reports a novel method for improving the flow efficiency by adding micro/nano fins on its sidewall. The fins are arranged on the sidewall in the diffuser direction. It has been testified that the big fins (20µm) can improve the flow efficiency by 10 percent both for liquid and gas, and the dynamic performances for the corresponding micro pump with and without fins are also measured and compared. The pump is actuated by piezo-disc. The dynamic measurement results indicate that the pump performance can be improved by 135% at the voltage of 100V and frequency of 3KHz. The pump begins to work at very low voltage of 20V and the volume flow rate is 36µL/min.

In this paper U-shaped as well as rectangular piezoresistive cantilever array have been designed and fabricated based on silicon micromachining technology. Single crystalline silicon is used as the piezoresistive material. The sensitivities and the noises of piezoresistive cantilevers were systematically investigated from both the theory and the experimental results. The minimum detectable deflections (MDD) of piezoresistive cantilever are calculated to be 0.3 nm for rectangular cantilever and 0.2 nm for U-shaped cantilever at a 6 V bias voltage and a 1000 Hz measurement bandwidth. Using polymer-coated cantilevers as a chemical sensor, its response to water vapor was tested by measuring its output voltage signals. The measurement shows that the sensor sensitivity is high and the response is quick.

The optimized geometries of cantilever and piezoresistor were determined by analyzing the stress, noise and sensitivity of piezoresistive cantilever from theory. Based on silicon micromachining technology, the piezoresistive cantilevers were fabricated by using polysilicon as the piezoresistive materials. With the measurement results of noise and sensitivity, the Hooge factor was calculated to be 3×10-3, the gauge factor is 27, and the minimum detectable deflection of piezoresistive cantilever was calculated to be 0.5nm at a 6V bias voltage and a 1000Hz measurement bandwidth. The noise sources of polysilicon pizeoresistor are also discussed in this paper.

Most research focuses on varying the resonator and dielectric spacer to configure the absorption and resonant frequency of terahertz (THz) metamaterial absorbers (MAs), where a metal ground plane is used as a perfect reflector of incident THz waves. In this paper, we modulate the MAs absorption by varying the conductivity of the ground plane. Two THz MAs were fabricated by replacing the gold ground planes with cobalt silicide films, and the measured absorptivity decreases by 4% for the electric resonance and increases by 44% for the dipole resonance. Our quantitative analysis reveals that when the conductivity of the ground plane decreases from 1.8 x 10(7) S/m to 3.0 x 10(5) S/m, the absorptivity of the electric resonance decreases by 23%, while that of the dipole resonance increases by 62%. Our approach also provides a practical method to measure the electric conductivity of conductive films in the THz regime. (C) 2014 AIP Publishing LLC.
