Aims: Success of opening single (SOS)-comedy is a prospective multicenter study to compare the improvement in the decrease of myocardial viability by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with that by optimal medical therapy (OMT) alone in patients with chronic total occlusion (CTO) of a single coronary artery. Methods and results: The risks and the benefits of both options (PCI and OMT) were listed in a CTO decision aid (DA). Eligible participants detected by invasive coronary angiography (ICA) or coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) were divided into PCI or OMT groups according to patients’ choice after shared-decision making process with DA. Participants will undergo positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT), cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), and proceed to ICA and revascularization if possible. Blinded core laboratory interpretation will be performed for ICA, CCTA, PET/CT, CMR, and TTE. All participants will be followed up for 12 months. The primary endpoint is the improvement to the decrease of myocardial viability from baseline assessed with the use of PET/CT after 12-month follow-up. Conclusions: All of the patients are appropriately consented before enrolling in this study, which has been approved by the Ethics Committee. Results of SOS-COMEDY will be helpful to develop a strategy for single CTO patients.

Long-term oil and gas exploitation in reservoir will lead to pore pressure depletion. The pore pressure depletion will result in changes of horizontal in-situ stresses both in reservoirs and caprock formations. Using the geophysics logging data, the magnitude and orientation changes of horizontal stresses in caprock and reservoir are studied. Furthermore, the borehole stability can be affected by in-situ stresses changes. To address this issue, the dehydration from caprock to reservoir and roof effect of caprock are performed. Based on that, the influence scope and magnitude of horizontal stresses reduction in caprock above the depleted reservoirs are estimated. The effects of development on borehole stability in both reservoir and caprock are studied step by step with the above geomechanical model.

As the information technology develops rapidly and the reform in education continues to deepen, it permits middle school education to change greatly both in teaching content and teaching mode. Under the guidance of the new curriculum standards of physics in senior high school, by analyzing the current integrated situation and correctly grasping the meaning of the integration of information technology with physics, three physics teaching patterns about the of integration information technology with senior physics are proposed. I hope it will make a meaningful exploration in the integration of information technology with physics teaching in senior high school, providing some guidance to the future physics teaching of senior high school.

Based on summarizing the concept of cloud computing and its characteristics, combining the problems they faced in the application of traditional libraries, through studying the cloud computing and the characteristics of book information system, this paper provides the design proposal of the new type of book information system with the cloud computing technology introduced, which can integrate university book information and improve information services level.

Background Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)-induced myocardial damage is a major cause of late cardiovascular events. Treatment with atorvastatin before PCI can reduce myocardial damage during the peri-PCI period. Objectives: To compare the safety and myocardial effects of different atorvastatin loading doses and dosing frequency before PCI in non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS) patients. Methods 80 NSTE-ACS patients were randomly divided into four groups (20 patients/group). The control group was given 40 mg atorvastatin each night. The three loading dose groups were treated as in the control group, but were given 80 mg atorvastatin 12 h before PCI (low-load group) in combination with 40 mg atorvastatin 2–4 h before PCI (mid-load group) or 60 mg atorvastatin 2–4 h before PCI (high-load group). All patients underwent PCI within 48–72 h of admission, and received 40 mg atorvastatin for at least 1 month after PCI. Changes in myocardial markers and high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) were analysed. Patients were followed-up for 30 days to monitor the incidence of major adverse cardiac events (MACE). Results No deaths or revascularisations were recorded.
