A 10 kV distribution network is critical for ensuring power supply to residents and factories. The number of power maintenance operations is rapidly increasing, and aerial cable stripping is a significant branch of these routine maintenances. High-voltage cable stripping, on the other hand, is mostly done manually, which is inefficient and poses serious security risks. As a result, this paper proposes an automatic wire stripping robot for use in a 10 kV power grid. The mechanical structure of the stripping robot is designed for installation on the insulating rod based on the working environment of 10 kV overhead cables. The robot was subjected to electromagnetic field simulation, modal analysis, and rigid-flexible coupling analysis. Finally, the robot prototype is built, and the PID controller is designed. Stripping tests are performed on a cable with a cross-sectional area of 95, 120, 150, 240, and 300 mm2, and the results are satisfactory.

Introduction: Taking the typical human telomeric G-quadruplex (G4) sequence as a reference, we designed four photoresponsive DNA sequences by inserting azobenzene moieties into a planar interlayer and the end surfaces of the G4 structure. Method: The photo-responsive G4 molecules were investigated by melting curve, FRET, CD, and gel electrophoresis. Results and Discussion: The measurements showed that the photo-responsive G4 molecules took the stable four-strand structure under visible light, but after UV light irradiation the G4 structures tended to be disentangled. When azobenzene molecules were inserted at the end surfaces of the G4 structure, the Tm difference of the photo-responsive G4 between visible light and UV light reached more than 30 oC. Conclusion: In a temperature range from 20 to 53 oC, the reversible transformation of the G4 structure can be realized solely by light irradiation.

In this study I examined the links between childhood abuse and adolescent depression, and the preventive value of social support and friendship quality. Participants were 470 adolescents from two middle schools in China, who completed the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, the Social Support Rating Scale, the Friendship Quality Questionnaire, and the Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale. The findings suggested that childhood abuse significantly and positively predicted adolescent depression, and that social support and friendship quality were protective factors. Specifically, higher degrees of social support and friendship quality can lessen the link between childhood abuse and depression. The results provide a reference for effectively improving the mental health of adolescents with a history of childhood abuse.

Background: To explore the role of LncFEZF1-AS1 in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) tissues and cells, and the possible molecular mechanism. Methods: Expressions of LncFEZF1-AS1 in RCC tissues and adjacent ones were detected. The association of LncFEZF1-AS1 level with clinical data of RCC patients was also analyzed. Besides, the differential expressions of LncFEZF1-AS1 in a variety of RCC cell lines were also determined. Then the LncFEZF1-AS1 knockdown model was constructed in RCC cell line to further determine the influences of LncFEZF1-AS1 on the proliferative ability and migration of RCC cells through CCK8 and Transwell experiments. Furthermore, luciferase reporter gene experiment were used to validate the combination of LncFEZF1-AS1 to ETNK1. Results: Results suggested that expression of LncFEZF1-AS1 was noticeably higher in RCC tumor tissues and the RCC cells. Clinical pathological data analysis also suggested that high LncFEZF1-AS1 expression was in correlation with the pathological stage and the incidence of distant metastasis in RCC patients, and the poor overall survival rate. In vitro experiments demonstrated that knocking down of LncFEZF1-AS1 markedly repressed the proliferation and migration of RCC cell lines. Bioinformatics suggested that LncFEZF1-AS1 can interact with the downstream target gene ETNK1, which was confirmed by the luciferase reporter gene experiments. Western Blot results revealed that knocking down of LncFEZF1-AS1 markedly enhanced ETNK1. qRT-PCR analysis indicated that ETNK1 level was under-expressed in RCC tissues and in negative correlation with LncFEZF1-AS1. Further experiments suggested that knockdown of ETNK1 partially reversed the inhibitory effects of LncFEZF1-AS1 silencing on the proliferative and migrative abilities of RCC cells. Conclusions: LncFEZF1-AS1 could facilitation the proliferative and migration of RCC cells by regulating the expression of ETNK1. Therefore, FEZF1-AS1 might function as a cancer-promoting factor and possible new therapeutic target for RCC.

In a vacuum environment, when ZnO is prepared using the chemical vapor deposition method and the molecular beam epitaxial growth method, H-gap impurities inevitably remain in the ZnO system, which is often ignored. The study of Zn vacancies under experimental conditions poses a challenge. Second, as an n-type semiconductor, ZnO is characterized by a self-compensation of natural donor defects and poor stability, which severely limit the acquisition of p-type ZnO. Based on the above problems, the conductive properties of S/Se/Te doped and VZn-Hi coexisting ZnO were investigated by first principle to acquire high-stability and high-quality p-ZnO. The study found that Zn35SO35, Zn35SeO35, and Zn35SHiO35 all have good p-type conductivity, which can effectively improve hole mobility and electrical conductivity. Among them, Zn35SO35 has the largest hole concentration at 2.80×1021 cm−3, as well as the best conductivity. The choice of Zn35SO35 provides a reference for obtaining new high-quality p-type ZnO semiconductors.

A new theoretical calculation method for the load-slip curve and the shear stiffness of the stud based on Winkler’s elastic foundation beam theory and deflection differential equation of the stud is proposed. Different stress characteristics of the elastic and plastic zones of the concrete are considered in the proposed method. The accuracy of the theoretical calculation method is validated by the test results. Moreover, the effect of concrete strength, stud diameter, and yield strength on the stud load-slip curve is analyzed. The results show that the proposed model can effectively reflect the change process of the load-slip curve of the test specimen stud connector. The stud diameter, stud yield strength, and concrete strength affect the peak slip, shear stiffness, and shear capacity of stud shear connectors. With an increase in stud diameter, the peak slip, shear stiffness, and shear bearing capacity of the stud are all increased. An increase in the yield strength of the stud increases its elastic slip, peak slip, and shear capacity. Lastly, with an increase in concrete strength, the elastic slip and peak slip of the stud both decrease, whereas the shear stiffness and shear bearing capacity are increased.

The aim of the study was to isolate and identify a highly efficient cellulolytic bacteria strain that can be used in acidic environments, and then investigate its cellulase production characteristics for the effective utilization of agricultural waste. For this purpose, we set a series of isolation and screening steps, 21 strains were isolated from soil, and an acidophilic strain labeled as B13-2 with high cellulase production was screened using the Gram’ iodine method and cellulase activity assay; it was identified as Raoultella terrigena. Lastly, the culture conditions such as incubation time, incubation temperature, pH, carbon sources, nitrogen sources, and inoculum size were optimized via single-factor experiments, and on this basis, the cellulase production of strain B13-2 was optimized using response surface methodology with cellulase activity as the optimization goal. The results of the response surface optimization showed that the optimum incubation time is 3.1 days, the optimum temperature is 29.9 °C, the optimum pH is 4.1, and the optimum inoculum size is 1.50%, the cellulase activity reached a maximum of 13.503 U/mL, which was about 140% higher than that before optimization. In particular, strain B13-2 had higher cellulase production when rice straws were used as the natural carbon source. Meanwhile, the SEM pictures demonstrated that the surface of the substrate rice straws in an acidic buffer with strain B13-2 was uneven, with larger holes than in the neutral buffer after incubation. It further proved that this strain has a stronger ability to degrade cellulose under acidic conditions. The B13-2 is a kind of acidophilic cellulolytic bacteria. Therefore, it has the potential to be developed into a silage additive agent and provides a high-quality strain resource for the high-value biotransformation of agricultural waste and lays a certain foundation for the sustainable development of agricultural cultivation.

The Asteraceae family is a promising source of bioactive compounds, such as the famous Asteraceae plants Tanacetum cinerariifolium (pyrethrin) and Artemisia annua (artemisinin). As a result of our series of phytochemical studies of the subtropical plants, two novel sesquiterpenes, named crossoseamines A and B in this study (1 and 2, respectively), one undescribed coumarin-glucoside (3), and eighteen known compounds (4–21) were isolated from the aerial part of Crossostephium chinense (Asteraceae). The structures of isolated compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including 1D and 2D NMR experiments (1H, 13C, DEPT, COSY, HSQC, HMBC, and NOESY), IR spectrum, circular dichroism spectrum (CD), and high-resolution electrospray ionization–mass spectrometry (HR-ESI–MS). All isolated compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic activities against Leishmania major, Plasmodium falciparum, Trypanosoma brucei (gambiense and rhodesiense), and human lung cancer cell line A549 because of the high demand for the discovery of new drug leads to overcome the present side effects and emerging drug-resistant strains. As a result, the new compounds (1 and 2) showed significant activities against A549 (IC50, 1: 3.3 ± 0.3; 2: 12.3 ± 1.0 μg/mL), L. major (IC50, 1: 6.9 ± 0.6; 2: 24.9 ± 2.2 μg/mL), and P. falciparum (IC50, 1: 12.1 ± 1.1; 2: 15.6 ± 1.2 μg/mL).

Two previously undescribed megastigmane glucosides, (3S)-3-hydroxy-4-oxo-7,8-dihydro-β-ionone-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), (3S)-3-hydroxy-4-oxo-β-ionone-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), an apocarotenoid glucoside named equiseoside A (3) and an unusual aromatic compound with a glucose-fused skeleton named equiseoside B (4), together with 35 known compounds (5-39) were isolated from the aerial parts of Equisetum sylvaticum. The structures of these compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including 1D and 2D NMR, IR, CD, and HR-MS.

With the rapid development of economic globalization, various financial products have appeared in the domestic and foreign financial markets. How to adopt ideal trading strategies to meet the demands of market traders for high returns and low risks has become the focus of investors and the research goal of scholars. In order to solve this problem, this paper establishes a quantitative trading strategy based on the position management model.First, we performed price forecasting for gold and bitcoin based on the Time-series ARIMA method. A differential autoregressive moving average model was developed for the price data of gold and bitcoin at different cycle times, respectively, and used to predict the price of the next trading day. Error analysis was performed with the actual prices, and it was found that the prediction error was the smallest when the data was 60 days, and the relative error of the average prediction value (APV) could be controlled at 0.003016.Then, we establish a quantitative trading strategy based on the position management model. We use the Apriori algorithm of Association rules to study the rising and falling rules of gold and bitcoin assets. According to the rule of " High throw bargain - hunting" in the investment market, we established a position management model and achieved dynamic and stable returns. After the model is established, we continue to introduce the evaluation indexes of the investment value of financial assets, among which the first-class indexes are profitability and safety. We use the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the weight of each evaluation index, and allocate the daily trading investment through the ratio of two asset evaluation indexes. This quantitative trading strategy, based on the position management model of AHP, can not only stabilize the income but also avoid risks, reaching a quantitative trading strategy with an annualized rate of return of 25%. On September 10th, 2021, the accumulated income could reach 223,640.58 USD.Further, we evaluate the profitability and risk resistance of the strategy using Principal component analysis. Model validation was performed by varying the parameter values and selecting the parameters that yielded a locally optimal solution, which was found to be consistent with our initial parameters and was proof of the optimal solution of the model.Finally, we conducted a sensitivity analysis of the model. The two variable parameters of initial commission fluctuation and investment principal of gold and bitcoin are varied up and down respectively, and the results show that as the initial commission increases or the principal decreases, the number of trades under this strategy gradually decreases and the trading return gradually decreases, and the sensitivity curve shows that the model is sensitive and meets expectations.

This paper proposes a scheme of space vector optimization for model predictive control (MPC) of dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous machine (DTP-PMSM), which aims to restrain the current harmonics under the condition of low inductance. The multiphase electric motor possesses the characteristics of quick current variation rate by means of the low inductance. Especially incorporating with MPC schemes, its advantage of quick response shows promising prospects for various applications such as robotics, aerospace and medical devices. However, such a characteristic of low inductance requires shorter control period, which means that the traditional MPC cannot be implemented to suppress the current harmonics since the performance of the power switching devices and the digital controller limits the arbitrary increasing of the control frequency. This paper presents the space-vector-optimized model predictive control (SVO-MPC) for DTP-PMSMs with low inductance by pre-synthesizing space vectors to eliminate harmonics and optimizing the zero vector to deal with quick current response. As a result, the proposed SVO-MPC can remarkably improve the steady and dynamic control performance, while the traditional MPC almost fails at commonly-adopted control frequency. Lastly, simulated and experimental results are both given to verify the feasibility of the proposed SVO-MPC for DTP-PMSMs with quick current response.

Treatments for giant congenital melanocytic nevi (GCMN) are extremely limited. Thus, there is an urgent need for development of relevant targeted therapies. However, current lack of preclinical cell models restricts progress in GCMN research. In this study, we aimed to establish and characterize an immortalized GCMN cell line. GCMN cells were successfully immortalized by means of lentivirus-mediated simian virus 40 large T transfection. The immortalized GNC cell line (ImGNC) showed lower proliferation rate and higher melanin content than primary melanocytes. In current forestry investigation studies, the research hotspots have tended to concentrate on ascertaining the precision of certain tree parameters. This has resulted in an augmented intricacy of the technique in terms of algorithms and observation instruments. The complexity of the technology and the cost of the equipment make it impossible to use for large-scale forest surveys, for example, a national forest inventory (NFI). The aim of our study was to design a new type of low-cost measuring method that could be utilized in a NFI and in developing countries. Meanwhile, the newly designed method was expected to be able to output certain forest measurement factors without necessitating data processing by NFI field investigators. Based on these objectives, we developed a measuring method that included hardware comprised of two tools. The first tool was an electronic measuring tape that contained a microcontroller unit (MCU) and could automatically record and collaborate with other equipment via wireless protocols. The second tool was a tree stem position mapper that utilized our own designed mechanisms. The results showed that the tree DBH measurements exhibited a 0.05 cm (0.20%) bias and a 0.36 cm (1.45%) root mean square error (RMSE), and the biases on the x-axis and the y-axis of the tree position estimations were −15.92–9.92 cm and −25.90–10.88 cm, respectively, accompanied by corresponding RMSEs of 15.27–29.40 cm and 14.49–34.68 cm. Moreover, an efficiency test determined that the average measurement time per tree was 20.34 s, thus, demonstrating a marked improvement in speed by nearly one-fold compared to the conventional method. Meanwhile, this measurement kit costs less than 150 Euros and is economically suitable for large-scale applications. We posit that our method has the potential to serve as a standard tool in a Chinese NFI and in developing countries in the future.

The prevalence of indoor air pollution, primarily stemming from human activities, has led to increasing concerns regarding elevated CO2 concentrations in indoor environments. Prolonged exposure to such environments has been linked to reduced productivity, headaches, nausea, and more severe health risks, such as Sick Building Syndrome. Consequently, the development of efficient methods to reduce CO2 concentrations in indoor air is of utmost importance. This review offers a comprehensive analysis of cutting-edge indoor CO2 capture technologies, delving into the adsorption performance of solvents produced via various techniques. Our findings highlight the emergence of innovative materials that significantly enhance the indoor adsorption process; nevertheless, further investigation into reaction kinetics and stability remains imperative for continued progress. Among the methods assessed, Thermal Swing Adsorption and Wet Impregnation demonstrate superior suitability for indoor CO2 capture applications. Importantly, this review also emphasizes the potential of novel ventilation strategies, incorporating both internal ventilation and CO2 capture devices, to not only reduce indoor CO2 concentrations but also promote energy efficiency in buildings.

In contrast to the conventional passive reaction to analytes, here, we create a proof-of-concept nanochannel system capable of on-demand recognition of the target to achieve an unbiased response. Inspired by light-activatable biological channelrhodopsin-2, photochromic spiropyran/anodic aluminium oxide nanochannel sensors are constructed to realize a light-controlled inert/active-switchable response to SO2 by ionic transport behaviour. We find that light can finely regulate the reactivity of the nanochannels for the on-demand detection of SO2. Pristine spiropyran/anodic aluminium oxide nanochannels are not reactive to SO2. After ultraviolet irradiation of the nanochannels, spiropyran isomerizes to merocyanine with a carbon‒carbon double bond nucleophilic site, which can react with SO2 to generate a new hydrophilic adduct. Benefiting from increasing asymmetric wettability, the proposed device exhibits a robust photoactivated detection performance in SO2 detection in the range from 10 nM to 1 mM achieved by monitoring the rectified current.

Changes in distribution patterns of economically essential forest species under global change are urgently needed in the scientific forecast, and large-scale spatial modeling is a crucial tool. Using diversity pattern indicators and other data obtained through geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial data on Moraceae species obtained from published data, we quantitatively studied the spatial diversity patterns of genera in the Moraceae in China. The results revealed that the patch richness, diversity index, and total shape index of the genera with multiple species were significantly higher than those of the monotypic genera. Monotypic genera had no spatial diversity and no distribution in patterns of spatial diversity. Maclura had the most concentrated spatial distribution and the lowest distribution area among the Moraceae in China. The number of patches and the total area were the smallest, while the most significant patch index was the highest. Maclura had no spatial diversity. Streblus had the highest patch abundance compared to other genera with fewer species. Streblus had the smallest number of patches and total area of distribution, the lowest spatial distribution, and a small total shape index, indicating its concentrated distribution. The values of the Shannon’s Diversity Index (SHDI) and Simpson’s Diversity Index (SIDI) were the highest, and the spatial distribution was the most diverse among the genera with fewer species. The patch type of Streblus had a more considerable value than other genera, but the number of patches was small, and the total shape index was low. Streblus was primarily distributed in the south of Yunnan, western Guangxi, the west and central parts of Hainan, and southern Guangdong. Most of these areas were mountainous. The temperature decreased with elevation, providing diverse environmental conditions for the narrow-stem genus. Among the Moraceae in China, the spatial distribution of Ficus was the most diverse, with the highest number of patches, patch types, total shape index, SHDI, and SIDI values. The spatial diversity of Ficus could be used as a protected area for Moraceae in China.

The fractured zone poses a significant risk to construction safety and structure durability in tunnel engineering. However, the effect of excavation methods has not been thoroughly investigated in previous studies. This paper presents a series of 1:30 scale 3D model tests on fault tunnels under the coupling effect of different fault dip angles and construction steps. We measured and analyzed the rock mass deformation and lining structure stress to explore the influence of tunnel excavation by the CD method. The model test results were verified by numerical simulation using the prototype tunnel parameters. Our results show that steeper fault dips correspond to greater radial pressure of the surrounding rock, and pressure in both haunt positions changes more significantly than that in the vault position, while pressure in the side-wall position changes only slightly. Additionally, considerable deformation can be observed in the vault and both haunt positions, with a rock mass relaxation range of less than 1.0 D. For the lining structure stress of each point in the second excavation cycle, larger lining stress is measured in the case of a fault dip of 75° than that in cases when the fault dip equals 45° and 60°, respectively. The biggest stress is observed in the side-wall position after the mid-partition is mantled to form a closed-loop lining structure. Overall, our findings provide valuable insights into the construction response of tunnels through faults and highlight the importance of considering excavation methods in tunnel engineering.

Given a design part, the task of manufacturing process classification identifies an appropriate manufacturing process to fabricate it. Our previous research proposed a large dataset for manufacturing process classification and achieved accurate results based on a combination of a convolutional neural network (CNN) and the heat kernel signature (HKS) for triangle mesh. In this paper, we constructed a classification method based on rotation-invariant shape descriptors and a neural network for point clouds, and it achieved better accuracy than all previous methods. This method uses a point cloud part representation, in contrast to the triangle mesh representation used in our previous work. The first step extracted rotation-invariant features consisting of a set of distances between points in the point cloud. Then, the extracted shape descriptors were fed into a CNN for the classification of manufacturing processes. In addition, we provided two visualization methods for interpreting the intermediate layers of the neural network. Last, the performance of the method was tested on some ambiguous examples and their performance was consistent with expectations. In this paper, we have considered only shape information, while non-shape information like materials and tolerances were ignored. Additionally, only parts that required one manufacturing process were considered in this research. Our work demonstrates that part shape attributes alone are adequate for discriminating between different manufacturing processes considered.

To solve the problem of soil degradation in coastal saline–alkali land, three different types of biochar (rice straw biochar, magnetic biochar, and humic acid–magnetic biochar) were prepared to remedy the saline–alkali soil under different mixing ratios. The effects of biochar on the growth of crops in saline–alkali soil were explored through a pot experiment on Chinese cabbage. The experimental results showed that the soil leaching treatment combined with humic acid–magnetic biochar could effectively repair the coastal saline–alkali soil. After adding 5% humic acid–magnetic biochar, the content of soil organic matter was 33.95 g/kg, the water content was 13.85%, and the contents of available phosphorus and available potassium were 9.43 mg/kg and 29.51 mg/kg. After adding 5% humic acid–magnetic biochar, the plant height of Chinese cabbage was 9.16 ± 0.19 cm, and the plant germination rate reached 83.33 ± 5.54%. The incorporation of biochar could effectively increase the chlorophyll content and soluble protein content of pakchoi and reduce the soluble sugar content of pakchoi. The study analyzed the effect of different modified biochar on saline–alkali land restoration and crop growth and explored the action rule of hydrochloric acid magnetic biochar on saline–alkali land restoration, which has important practical value for improving coastal saline–alkali land.

A 10 kV distribution network is a crucial piece of infrastructure to guarantee enterprises’ and households’ access to electricity. Stripping cables is one of many power grid maintenance procedures that are now quickly expanding. However, typical cable-stripping procedures are manual and harmful to workers. Although numerous automated solutions for grid maintenance have been created, none of them focus on cable stripping, and most of them have large dimensions to guarantee multi-functions. In this paper, a new cable-stripping robot for the 10 kV power system is introduced. The design of a live working cable-stripping robot that is appropriate for installing insulating rods is introduced, taking into account the working environment of 10 kV overhead lines and the structural characteristics of overhead cables. The robot is managed by an auxiliary remote control device. A cascade PID control technology based on the back propagation neural network (BPNN) method was developed, as the stripper robot’s whole system is nonlinear and the traditional PID controller lacked robustness and adaptability in complex circumstances. To validate the structural feasibility of the cable-stripping robot, as well as the working stability and adaptability of the BPNN–PID controller, a 95 mm2 cable-stripping experiment are carried out. A comparison of the BPNN–PID controller with the traditional PID method revealed that the BPNN–PID controller has a greater capacity for speed tracking and system stability. This robot demonstrated its ability to replace manual stripping procedures and will be used for practical routine power maintenance.

ObjectiveThis study was to explore the relationship between fibrinogen and advanced colorectal adenoma among inpatients.MethodsFrom April 2015 to June 2022, 3738 participants (566 case subjects and 3172 control subjects) who underwent colonoscopies enrolled, and smooth curve fitting and logistic regression models were applied to explore the association between fibrinogen and advanced colorectal adenoma. In addition, sensitivity and subgroup analyses were performed to assess the stability of the results.ResultsCompared with lower fibrinogen quantile 1 (< 2.4 g/L), the adjusted OR values for fibrinogen and advanced colorectal adenoma in quantile 2 (2.4–2.75 g/L), quantile 3 (2.76–3.15 g/L), and quantile 4 (≥3.16 g/L) were 1.03 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.76–1.41), 1.37 (95% CI: 1.01–1.85), and 1.43 (95% CI: 1.06–1.94), respectively. A linear relationship between fibrinogen and advanced colorectal adenoma was observed. Sensitivity and subgroup analyses showed stable results.ConclusionComplements the evidence that fibrinogen was positively associated with advanced adenomas, suggesting that fibrinogen may play a role in the adenoma-carcinoma sequence.

SummaryFatty acid synthase (FASN) maintainsde novolipogenesis (DNL) to support rapid growth in most proliferating cancer cells. Lipogenic acetyl-CoA is primarily produced from carbohydrates but can arise from glutamine-dependent reductive carboxylation under hypoxia. Here we show that reductive carboxylation also occurs in the absence of DNL in cells with defective FASN. In this state, reductive carboxylation was mainly catalyzed by isocitrate dehydrogenase-1 (IDH1) in the cytosol, but IDH1-generated citrate was not used for DNL. Metabolic flux analysis (MFA) revealed that FASN-deficiency induced a net cytosol-to-mitochondria citrate flux through citrate transport protein (CTP). A similar pathway was previously shown to mitigate detachment-induced mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (mtROS) in anchorage-independent tumor spheroids. We further demonstrate that FASN-deficient cells acquire resistance to oxidative stress in a CTP- and IDH1-dependent manner. Together with the reduced FASN activity in tumor spheroids, these data indicate that anchorage-independent malignant cells trade FASN-supported rapid growth for a cytosol-to-mitochondria citrate flux to gain redox capacity against detachment-induced oxidative stress.
