Traditional iterative-based reconstruction algorithms for compressed color imaging often suffer from long reconstruction time and low reconstruction accuracy at extreme low-rate subsampling. This paper proposes a model-driven deep learning framework for compressed color imaging. In the training step, extract the image blocks at the same position of the R, G, and B channel images as the ground truth, then singular value decomposition is performed on the measurement matrix to obtain the optimized measurement matrix and low-dimensional measurements, afterwards the ground-truth and optimized measurements are utilized to construct a large amount of training data pairs to train an ‘end-to-end’ deep unfolding model for compressed color imaging. In the test step, the single pretrained model is used to reconstruct high-quality images from optimized low-dimensional compressed measurements for each channel and synthesize a color image. Numerical experiments demonstrate that our proposed unified framework can achieve high accuracy and real-time reconstruction for the color image at extremely low subsampling rate.

WeChat is one of the most popular applications in the world. By 2021, there were 1.24 billion users of WeChat. Many people call it the `super app` because it is an application for everything. Besides the basic messaging feature, it also supports online payment, video posts, news feeds, and more. Due to its wide usage, many criminals are using the platforms for illegal activities such as bank fraud, cyberbullying, and stalking. For these reasons, we need to understand WeChat forensically to assist investigators in cases involving WeChat. Previous research was mostly focused on the messaging of the WeChat application. However, artifacts of other features remain on the device undiscovered. These features can provide crucial evidence to a case such as geo-locations or monetary transactions. WeChat keeps updates monthly, and these updates may add new features or modify the data structure. The official website does not provide a detailed description of its features so it is hard for a non-WeChat user to understand the functionalities. Therefore, research is required to analyze the background, structure, and possible artifacts remaining of the WeChat app to assist practitioners who encounter WeChat in an investigation. This study included all platforms that WeChat provides, Windows, MacOS, Android, and iOS.

Rational: Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE) is a rare neoplasm commonly known to arise from the soft tissue, lung, and liver. EHE arising from right innominate vein (RIV) has scarcely been reported in English literature. Patient concerns: Herein, we present a rare case of EHE of RIV in a 51-year-old woman with right-lower chest pain for 4 days. Computed tomography of the chest revealed a spherical mass with calcification and fatty foci located in the anterior mediastinum, thus a presumptive diagnosis of teratoma was made. Diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes: Video-assisted thoracoscopic explorations and resection of mediastinal tumor were then performed. The pathological examination showed that the tumor was EHE. Postoperative radiotherapy was delivered to the patient. Pulmonary metastases were found by chest CT a year after surgery. Lessons: A diagnosis of EHE might be considered, when a mediastinal tumor closely related to veins showing intratumoral calcification and obvious enhancement, despite the presence of a clear boundary and visible fat content.

IgG4-related lung disease is a rare disease, diagnosed when typical pathologic features are seen in the context of increased serum levels of IgG4 and the elevated tissue’s IgG4-positive plasma cells. Here we reported the case of a 24-year-old woman with IgG4-related lung disease. This patient presented with fever, cough and shortness of breath. Thoracic computed tomography (CT) images demonstrated multiple nodules or masses with high density in both lungs, and thickened interlobular septa. The ‘halo sign’ was observed around the high-density lesions of the upper lobes. This range of CT images’ characteristics is atypical, which differs from previous reports of this condition.

Primary small cell carcinoma (SCC) is a group of aggressive neoplasms that mainly arise from the lung and digestive tract. Endometrial small cell carcinoma (ESCC) is extremely rare. To our knowledge, less than 90 cases have been reported, and most of these reports were dedicated to describing the clinicopathologic or immunochemical features of ESCC. Herein, we present a new case of ESCC involving a 51-year-old woman and mainly focus on the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) findings. MRI showed that the uterus was significantly enlarged (11.6 cm × 11.1 cm × 14.4 cm), and a giant irregular mass (7.5 cm × 8.4 cm × 8.5 cm) was observed in the uterine cavity. The lesion demonstrated an extremely low apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) value [(0.553±0.088)×10–3 mm2/s] and a high FDG uptake value (22.7). Multiple metastatic lymph nodes (LNs) were identified at different positions, with diameters ranging from 0.3 to 2.8 cm and a maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) ranging from 6.9 to 19.3.
