A machine learning technique provides rapid access to various information models, approaches, complex systems, and algorithms. In the present scenario the artificial neural network, multiple linear regression, support vector machine, water cycle algorithm, and linear regression have much accessible. Continuously advancements of these techniques become a high impact on civil engineering, especially for the construction and infrastructure sector. In the present study, the historical perspective of research and development and application of machine learning techniques on fly ash-based concrete is presented. The models, algorithms, and approaches developed for predicting engineering properties of fly ash-based concrete were also discussed. These predictions using machine learning techniques have been much impacted on fly ash utilization in concrete. The utilization of fly ash in concrete also has revolutionary impacts on the environment and human health in the future. Machine learning is a useful and powerful technique that can predict concrete engineering properties and represent the scientific challenge in the construction and infrastructure sectors.

The information value method is widely used in predicting the susceptibility of geological disasters. However, most susceptibility evaluation models assume that the weight of each influencing factor is equal, which is inconsistent with the actual situation. Therefore, this paper studies the optimization effect of weight calculation method on the information value model. Engineering disturbance disasters are developing in the Himalayan alpine valley in southeastern Tibet. First of all, this paper takes this as the research object and builds a database of engineering disturbance disasters in southeast Tibet through long-term on-site investigation. Then, the relationship between the influencing factors such as slope, aspect, relief, elevation, engineering geological rock formation, rainfall, temperature, and seismic peak acceleration and the distribution of engineering disturbance disasters is analyzed. Finally, the principal component analysis method and logistic regression method are employed to calculate the weight coefficients. Moreover, the susceptibility of engineering disturbance disasters is predicted using the information value model (IV-Only), as well as two weighted information value models (PCA-IV and LR-IV). In addition, the accuracy of these three susceptibility evaluation models is assessed based on two evaluation indexes. The results show that: compared with the equal weight method and the principal component analysis method, the logistic regression method has the highest accuracy. According to the weight coefficient, the control factors of engineering disturbance disasters in the Himalayan alpine canyon area are determined to be slope, aspect, rainfall, and elevation. The research results provide a reference method for the optimization of susceptibility evaluation model.

In China, the majority of mountainous regions are characterized by complex topography and a delicate, sensitive geological environment. These areas, which exhibit insufficient infrastructure and widespread irrational human engineering activities, are often susceptible to geological hazards such as slope instability and soil mass movements. These geological hazards pose substantial threats to human lives and property, hindering the progress of mountainous areas. Therefore, conducting research on evaluating the vulnerability of slope rock and soil mass movement geological hazards (hereinafter referred to as geological hazards) is of utmost importance for hazard prevention, emergency management, and economic advancement in these regions. This study focuses on Xuanwei City and selects eight factors for evaluation, including elevation, gradient, slope aspect, normalized vegetation index, stratigraphic lithology, distance from faults, distance from rivers, and distance from roads. These factors are chosen based on a comprehensive analysis of the spatial and temporal distribution of geological hazards and hazard incubation conditions. Two paired models, the deterministic coefficient model + logistic regression model (CF+LR) and the information quantity model + logistic regression model (I+LR), were employed to assess the study area quantitatively. The performance of these models was assessed by employing receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and calculating the corresponding area under curve (AUC) values. The results indicate that: (1) The AUC values for the coupled CF+LR and I+LR models are 0.799 and 0.772, respectively. These results indicate that both models provide an objective and reliable assessment of the vulnerability to geological hazards, specifically slope rock and soil mass movements, in the study area. (2) Based on the CF+LR model calculations, the geological hazard susceptibility of Xuanwei City can be categorized into four zones: extremely high susceptibility (6.09%), high susceptibility (31.08%), medium susceptibility (32.26%), and low susceptibility (30.57%). (3) The CF+LR model more accurately represents the evaluation results and offers a strong reference value.

Purpose. Analysis of the main advantages and proposals for the use of innovative information technologies to increase the efficiency of organizational construction processes. Methodology. Along with the spread of organizational processes of technology and construction organization of modern well-known Ukrainian and foreign IT firms in Ukraine, there is a need to improve the image of construction by using high-tech methods of standard and non-standard construction of civil and industrial buildings and structures. The tasks currently facing the country in the field of capital construction are the revival of renovation and reconstruction of domestic industrial and civil construction, the introduction of advanced technologies on a large scale, the rise of the culture of construction production, the training of a new generation of professional builders who are able to solve these tasks using IT in construction. The successful implementation of such a course is facilitated by measures to improve the technology and organization of construction, the introduction of new IT methods for managing renovations and reconstructions, and solving financing problems. Findings. The paper analyzes the scientific research of IT in construction, in particular during the renovation and reconstruction of buildings and structures, which reflect the advantages of using innovative technologies, VIM technologies at various stages of renovation and reconstruction from the technology of construction organization, and provides examples of the use of innovative technologies. Originality. Analysis of the results of the application of the most common IT components in industrial and civil construction makes it possible to use them at different stages, taking into account various software and technical support. Practical value. Technical, technological and organizational solutions in construction technology and organization, which have already been developed and implemented, allow the use of innovative technologies or their parts regardless of the technical or software equipment of construction organizations in the design and construction of construction objects. The methodological structure of analysis, quantitative evaluation and modeling of processes was developed, which made it possible to identify the dependencies that characterize the level of efficiency of works and allows for variant design of construction works with the help of these technologies., Мета. Аналіз основних переваг та пропозиції використання інноваційних інформаційних технологій для підвищення ефективності організаційних процесів будівництва. Методика. Разом із поширенням організаційних процесів технології і організації будівництва сучасних відомих українських та закордонних ІТ-фірм в Україні існує необхідність покращення іміджу будівництва шляхом застосування високотехнологічних методів стандартного і нестандартного будівництва цивільних та промислових будівель і споруд. Завдання, які стоять зараз перед країною в області капітального будівництва – це відродження реновації та реконструкції вітчизняного промислового та цивільного будівництва, впровадження в широких масштабах передових технологій, підйом культури будівельного виробництва, підготовка нового покоління будівельників-професіоналів, здатних вирішувати ці завдання з використанням ІТ у будівництві. Успішному здійсненню такого курсу сприяють заходи щодо вдосконалення технології і організації будівництва, впровадження нових методів ІТ управління реновацій і реконструкцій та вирішення проблем з фінансуванням. Результати. В роботі проведено аналіз наукових досліджень ІТ в будівництві, зокрема при реновації та реконструкції будівель та споруд, які відображають переваги використання інноваційних технологій, ВІМ-технологій на різних етапах реновації та реконструкції з технології організації будівництва та надано приклади використання інноваційних технологій. Наукова новизна. Аналіз результатів застосування найбільш поширених складових ІТ в промисловому та цивільному будівництві дає можливість використовувати їх на різних етапах враховуючи різноманітне програмне та технічне забезпечення. Практична значимість. Технічні, технологічні та організаційні рішення в технології і організації будівництва, які вже розроблені і впроваджені, дозволяють використовувати інноваційні технології незалежно від технічного чи програмного оснащення будівельних організацій при проєктуванні та будівництві. Розроблена методологічна структура аналізу, кількісної оцінки та моделювання процесів, що дозволило виявити залежності, які характеризують рівень ефективності робіт і дозволяє здійснювати варіантне проєктування будівельних робіт за допомогою цих технологій.

Providing modern flight and technical uniforms to the aviation crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is an important task, taking into account the multitude of adverse factors affecting the performance of professional duties by the personnel, especially in the conditions of hostilities. This implies the need and obligation to confirm the quality of flight technical suits (FTS) for the ability to reliably provide comfort and safety, which, in turn, requires testing at a high scientific and methodological level with the development of new approaches to information support and evaluation of objects of suitability tests beforemaking a decision on the supply and/or launch of FTS in serial production.The purpose of the work is the development of an information model of tests of prototypes of flight suits to expand the informational and methodological basis of scientifically based assessment of tests of prototypes of FTS.The conceptual scheme of the information model of the researched process is presented; the criterion essences of the formalization of the FTS quality evaluation process within the framework of the testing activity were substantiated, namely: 1) the theoretical decomposition of the concept of the FTS quality was carried out; 2) an informational model for evaluating the quality of FTS based on the process approach was formed; 3) the complexity of interrelationships between content elements of FTS quality is substantiated and a model of the informational and methodological basis is presented in order to increase the scientific validity of the results of testing activities. Proposals for the use of the analytical process method to improve the qualityof expert evaluation of experimental samples have been developed and the effects of implementing this method in the system of expert evaluation of the quality of FTS as part of the trial work have been substantiated., Стаття присвячена розвитку методології інформаційного забезпечення процесу випробувань дослідних зразків ЛТО. Представлено концептуальну схему інформаційної моделі досліджуваного процесу; обґрунтовано критеріальні сутності формалізації процесу оцінювання якості ЛТО у рамка випробувальної діяльності, а саме: 1) здійснено теоретичну декомпозицію поняття якості ЛТО; 2) сформовано інформаційну модель оцінювання якості ЛО за процесним підходом; 3) обґрунтовано комплексність взаємозв’язків між змістовими елементами якості ЛТО та представленомодель інформаційно-методичного базису для підвищення наукової-обґрунтованості результатів випробувальної діяльності. Розроблено пропозиції щодо використання методу аналітичного процесу для підвищення якості експертного оцінювання дослідних зразків.

The ongoing problem of inconsistency in the stages of system development encourages the development and elaboration of approaches and methods aimed at eliminating the causes of their occurrence. According to the research community, one of the most promising approaches is to involve users in the development process. Six directions in the implementation of the approach to user involvement in the system development process were formed and analyzed in the article. The analysis of the applicability of such approaches and methods to the task of involving the user in the process of developing an information data model is carried out. The problems of this direction were highlighted. To solve these problems, the sensemaking approach principles which is a development of the methodology for sensemaking proposed by Brenda Dervin, are proposed to use. On the basis of the proposed sensemaking approach, the implementation of the proposed approach is shown with the help of the development of the method, a method for constructing the specification of the information model was developed. The steps of the method are represented by methods that implement the idea of involving the user in the development process by analyzing his work with elements of documentation support.

The subject of research in the article are the workspace models for flexible integrated robotic systems. The goal of the work is in development of information models to represent workspaces for following application in the automated control systems of flexible integrated manufacturing. The article solves the next tasks: to analyze the representation of workspace to decide practical problems of robotic systems of different nature, to consider the development of informational models for representation on workspaces of intelligent control systems of integrated manufacturing, to consider the practical examples of information presentation on workspaces of production systems. Research methods are set theory and predicate theory. The following results were obtained: there were analysed the main features of informational models development to solve robotic tasks of different nature and were pointed the limitations of existing approaches of formal description, the need of integration of workspace models to decision-support systems and systems of graphical and mathematical simulation of integrated systems; the set theory-based model of information representation for problem-solving processes of flexible integrated robotic systems is proposed; the information-logic model of workspace for mobile robot applications, functioning in flexible integrated systems. is developed and contains the list of objects, includes their geometrical dimensions and supplies the preservation of parameters in time and space; information presentation for automated control system of flexible integrated manufacturing, which implements proposed models, is considered. Conclusions: application of models of information type for automated control systems makes to supply logical unification of flexible integrated manufacturing elements, to provide monitoring of states of technological equipment of production systems in space and time and formation of their digital twins, to promote functioning of intelligent decision-support systems for robotic systems of different types, that improves characteristics of production control., Предметом исследования статьи являются модели рабочего пространства гибких встроенных роботизированных систем. Цель работы – построение информационных моделей представления рабочего пространства для дальнейшего использования в автоматизированных системах управления гибкого интегрированного производства. В статье решаются следующие задачи: провести анализ представления рабочего пространства при решении практических задач роботизированных систем разного типа, рассмотреть построение информационных моделей представления рабочего пространства интеллектуальных систем управления интегрированным производством, рассмотреть практические примеры представления информации о рабочем пространстве производственных систем. Методами исследования являются теория множеств и теория предикатов. Получены следующие результаты: проанализированы основные особенности построения информационных моделей рабочего пространства для решения задач робототехники разного типа, указывается на ограниченность существующих подходов формального описания, необходимость интеграции моделей рабочего пространства с системами поддержки принятия решений, системами графического и математического моделирования интегрированных систем; предложена теоретико-множественная модель представления информации о процессах принятия решений в гибких интегрированных роботизированных системах; разработана информационно-логическая модель рабочего пространства мобильного робота, которая содержит перечень объектов, учитывает их геометрические размеры, обеспечивает хранение параметров во времени и пространстве; рассмотрено представление информации в автоматизированной системе управления гибкого интегрированного производства, реализующей предлагаемые модели. Выводы: применение моделей информационного типа в автоматизированных системах управления позволит логически объединить элементы гибкого интегрированного производства, обеспечить мониторинг состояния технологического оборудования в рабочем пространстве производственных систем и во времени, осуществить формирование цифровых двойников элементов рабочего пространства, обеспечить функционирование интеллектуальных систем для принятия решений систем разного типа, что позволит улучшить характеристики процессов управления производством., Предметом дослідження статті є моделі робочого простору гнучких інтегрованих роботизованих систем. Мета роботи – побудова інформаційних моделей представлення робочого простору з метою подальшого використання у автоматизованих системах керування гнучкого інтегрованого виробництва. В статті вирішуються наступні завдання: провести аналіз представлення робочого простору під час розв’язання практичних завдань роботизованих систем різного типу, розглянути побудову інформаційних моделей представлення робочого простору інтелектуальних систем керування інтегрованим виробництвом, розглянути практичні приклади представлення інформації про робочий простір виробничих систем. Методами дослідження є теорія множин та теорія предикатів. Отримано наступні результати: проаналізовано основні особливості побудови інформаційних моделей робочого простору для розвязання завдань робототехніки різного типу, вказується на обмеженість існуючих підходів формального опису, на необхідність інтеграції моделей робочого простору із системами підтримки прийняття рішень, системами графічного та математичного моделювання інтегрованих систем; запропоновано теоретико-множинну модель подання інформації щодо процесів прийняття ріщень у гнучких інтегрованих роботизованих системах; розроблено інформаційно-логічну модель робочого простору мобільного робота, яка містить перелік об’єктів, враховує їх геометричні розміри, забезпечує зберігання параметрів у часі та просторі; розглянуто подання інформації у автоматизованиій системі керування гнучкого інтегрованого виробництва, що реалізує запропоновані моделі. Висновки: застосування моделей інформаційного типу у автоматизованих системах керування дозволить логічно об`єднати елементи гнучкого інтегрованого виробництва, забезпечити моніторинг стану технологічного обладнання у робочому просторі виробничих систем та у часі, здійснити формування цифрових двійників елементів робочого простору, забезпечити функціонування інтелектуальних систем підтримки прийняття рішень роботизованих систем різного типу, що дозволить покращити характеристики процесів керування виробництвом.

BACKGROUND: Current Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems are built using different data representation and information models, which makes difficult achieving information exchange. OBJECTIVE: Our aim was to propose a scalable architecture that allows the integration of information from different EHR systems. METHODS: A cloud-based EHR interoperable architecture is proposed through the standardization and integration of patient electronic health records. The data is stored in a cloud repository with high availability features. Stakeholders can retrieve the patient EHR by requesting only to the integrated data repository. The OpenEHR two-level approach is applied according to the HL7-FHIR standards. We validated our architecture by comparing it with 5 different works (CHISTAR, ARIEN, DIRAYA, LLPHR and INEHRIS) using a set of selected axes and a scoring method. RESULTS: The problem was reduced to a single point of communication between each EHR system and the integrated data repository. By combining cloud computing paradigm with selected health informatics standards, we obtained a generic and scalable architecture that complies 100% with interoperability requisites according to the evaluation framework applied. CONCLUSIONS: The architecture allowed the integration of several EHR systems, adapting them with the use of standards and ensuring the availability thanks to cloud computing features.

Stochastic dynamic vehicle routing problems have become an essential part of logistics and mobility services. In such problems, a sequence of vehicle routing decisions has to be made in reaction and anticipation of newly revealed stochastic information. To this end, a variety of computational operations research methods has emerged in the literature, increasingly integrating potential future information in their decision making. The integration of information models into decision models via computational methods is known as prescriptive analytics, the most recent advance of business analytics. In this paper, we explore the existing work and future potential of prescriptive analytics for stochastic dynamic vehicle routing. We identify the characteristics of decision models and information models unique in stochastic dynamic vehicle routing and analyze how different methodology meets the characteristics' requirements. We use the insights to derive recommendations about promising methodology when approaching specific stochastic dynamic vehicle routing problems.

The results of development of fuzzy criteria for determination of significance of composite information of social profile are presented. The simulation is carried out using OSINT technology - the technology of legal acquisition and use of information from open sources. As a result of the research, the parameters affecting the significance of individual characteristics of the socialprofile are selected and their characteristics are determined. The information of varying degrees of structurality is processed in the course of performing of the task of social profiling. At the same time, the following data models are used: network one - for storing the data of the final social profile, and presenting them in the form of graphs; relational one - for storing the informationmap of the social profile; post-shooting and NoSQL one - for storing unstructured source data and dynamic content, including multimedia. The conceptual model of presentation of these social profiles can be expanded and brought into line with the complex and mathematical models of the digital social environment. In the future, it is necessary to disclose the elements and relationshipsof the four basic categories of the infological model of presenting the results of social profiling. A new model of fuzzy significance coefficient of social profile parameters is obtained, the difference of which is the possibility of taking into account both formalized objective and difficult-to-interpret subjective indicators for evaluating the initial information of the SP. The advantage of usingthe significance criterion over the involvement of experts is the lower time spent on analyzing large amounts of data while maintaining the level of objectivity of the assessment. Consideration the diversity of the digital social environment is the next step. Наведено результати розробки нечітких критеріїв для визначення значущості складової інформації соціального профілю. Моделювання було проведено з використанням технології OSINT - технології легального отримання і використання інформації з відкритих джерел. В результаті досліджень були підібрані параметри, що впливають на значимість окремих характеристик соціального профілю, і визначені їх характеристичні функції. В ході виконання завдання соціального профілювання проводилася обробка інформації різного ступеня структурованості. При цьому були використані наступні моделі даних: мережева - для зберігання даних кінцевого соціального профілю, і подання їх у вигляді графів; реляційна - для зберігання інформаційної карти соціального профілю; постреляційна і NoSQL - для зберігання неструктурованих вихідних даних і динамічного контенту, в тому числі мультимедійного. Концептуальну модель представлення даних соціальних профілів можливо розширити і привести у відповідність з комплексною і математичною моделями цифрового соціального середовища. Надалі, необхідно розкрити елементи і взаємозв'язок чотирьох базових категорій інфологічної моделі представлення результатів соціального профілювання. Отримана нова модель нечіткого коефіцієнта значущості параметрів соціального профілю, відмінністю якої є можливість обліку як формалізованих об'єктивних, так і суб'єктивних показників, що важко інтерпретуються, для оцінки вихідної інформації СП. Перевагою використання критерію значущості перед залученням експертів є менші часові витрати на аналіз великих обсягів даних при збереженні рівня об'єктивності оцінювання. Наступним кроком є перехід до розгляду різноманіття елементів цифрового соціального середовища.

Prior studies reported that the time needed to manually convert a point cloud to an as-is geometric model using cutting edge modelling software is ten times greater than the time needed to obtain the point cloud. The laborious nature of manually modelling infrastructure such as bridges is the reason behind the significant cost of modelling which impedes the proliferation of the usage of Bridge Information Models (BrIM) in Bridge Management Systems. Existing commercial solutions can automatically recognize geometric shapes embedded in segmented point cloud data (PCD) and generate the corresponding IFC objects. Researchers have taken further studies and have additionally automated surface reconstruction through generating parametric surface-based primitives in order to automate the segmentation process. However, surface-based segmentation for bridge modelling is an unsolved problem, which is neither straightforward nor consistent, and thus hinders the automation of BrIM. This paper presents a top-down PCD detection solution that follows a knowledge-based heuristic approach for BrIM generation that can semi-automatically segment a bridge point cloud recursively. We leverage bridge domain knowledge as strong input priors through a histogram-based algorithm to conduct the segmentation and classification. We implemented the solution and tested on one highway bridge. The experimental results indicated that the detection precision of this solution is 92%.

Results of the scientific research – scholarly products – are not homogenous. They appear in different forms during different research activities and might be described with several related concepts. First one is the research workflow, which consists of several phases: from searching of the relevant information through data collecting to dissemination of the results. Every phase characterized by the activities, which described by scholarly primitives and the research products are the results of this activities. Second, the research products itself are represented by information of different types: content, data and knowledge. For example, during searching of the relevant information scientist produce several types of information: collection of papers/datasets/etc, several facts, derived from them, and research hypothesis, which express researcher’s personal ideas. For producing them modern scientists use research tools (the third concept), which could be distinguished by the information type too, but not always one-by-one: for example, most of the reference management programs are not only storing the papers, but also maintaining the work on the text reading. One more related concept – information availability, reflects openness and discoverability of the scholarly products and might be to the different degree supported by the instruments. We put these four concepts into the information model of the scholarly products, which will be helpful for managing research results.

Relevance. The article is devoted to creating prognostic models based on epidemiological and immunological data. Objective: to study the comparative dynamic epidemiological and immunological characteristics of patients with COVID-19. Materials and methods. Methodological approaches to the use of system analysis of epidemiological and immunological characteristics of patients with COVID-19 using multivariate analysis are described. The used technologies of computer-aided analysis systems, algorithms for recognizing, measuring and identifying the condition of patients, and methods of statistical data processing made it possible to create a universal information predictive model for calculating the dynamics of infectious diseases prone to generalization (pandemics), as well as to understand in which groups these new infectious diseases are most dangerous. Results and discussion. Using the methods of system analysis, the epidemiological and immunological aspects of predictive models of the coronavirus pandemic were evaluated using the most objective international data, which increased the information content of the analysis. Conclusions . Creating predictive epidemiological and immunological models of the pandemic is an urgent and promising task to combat the medical and social consequences of the spread of coronavirus infection in Russia.

Information modeling technology also known as BIM is becoming an important part of working with data in various fields of activity. At the same time, there are still no specific recommendations for the transition to the use of digital models at the survey stage. Although engineering survey data is the basis for further actions within the life cycle of objects. The article characterizes the methodology for the modernization of engineering surveys in the context of information modeling, operating with the methods of systems analysis, foresight research and risk management. The combination of these methods allows you to identify ways of development and characterize them. All changes in the engineering survey system are described using the example of the engineering and environmental section. This is due to the fact that environmental engineering surveys use information from other sections of the survey and show reactions to changes in the system. The authors believe that under existing conditions, the most effective direction is the presentation of the results of engineering surveys in a standard form, provided that they are supplemented with a set of digital models by type of survey. In this case, it is assumed that the role of information modeling will gradually increase.

Background. In European society, the high education, research and innovation are an essential component of socio-economic and cultural development. Especially they acquire in the field of high medical (pre- and postgraduate) education, since they significantly affect the health of society through training personnel in the health sector. The purpose was to develop the information model of the quality management system of the institution of high medical education on the basis of ISO 9001:2015 and its national analogue DSTU ISO 9001:2015. Results. The results of the system analysis of the structure and content of ISO 9001: 20015 and its national analogue DSTU ISO 9001: 20015 have allowed to establish that the basis of the construction of a quality management system, that meets the requirements of the standard, is based on the information exchange. Thus, one of the basic principles of quality management presented in the introduction to the standard, determines the principle of making managerial decisions based on factual data. This means that in order to effective quality management, the head of the institution of high medical education must have the relevant volume and content of information about the aims, objects and processes that form and maintain the system's effectiveness. Another guiding principle according to the standard - the process approach - provides, in particular, the continuous improvement of the quality of all processes (activities) in the management system based on the evaluation of data and information about their progress, interim and final results. The standard recommends keeping up-to-date documented information necessary for the functioning of the processes. In detail the detailed analysis of the structure and content of the international and national standards ISO 9001: 2015 and DSTU ISO 9001: 2015 requires the development of an information model of the quality management system for institutions of high medical education. Conclusions. Thus, the proposed information model of the quality management system of the institution of high medical education can serve as a benchmark for the managers of these institutions in the process of developing, implementing, supporting the functioning and evaluation of the quality management system with the aim of continuous improvement of the quality of high medical education at the postgraduate level.

For more than 40 years of reform and opening up, our country’s economic development has become increasingly prosperous, and urbanization is booming. At present, our country is in a decisive period for building a well-off society in an all-round way, with rapid progress in socio-economic growth and urbanization. Based on this, this article is oriented towards urban visualization modeling work and proposes a cluster modeling method that is compatible with the combination of urban geological structure and three-dimensional urban space, so that urban space modeling work not only pays attention to the rationality of above-ground planning and construction but also fully considers underground geology the stability and safety of the structure. This paper uses the 3D city online visualization modeling technology to efficiently and reasonably complete the 3D urban geological modeling under the fusion of multiple geological data and combines the organic combination of multisource heterogeneous model data to convert the geological model data into a 3D geographic information model; the universal standard format analyzes the rapid construction of large-scale complex geological structure models and the integrated expression of multisource heterogeneous model data. Experiments have proved that from the cluster capacity of 5,000 to 100,000, no matter how much the modeling time is different, whether it is to search the entire territory or part of the scope, the search time of the 3D city visualization model is less than 20 ms, and the 3D city visualization model map of the city can be well established. This shows that the three-dimensional city visualization model highlights the impact of the urban geological environment on urban construction and development and visually and vividly displays region geological structure and other information in a three-dimensional way, providing corresponding information for urban geological stability assessment and geological disaster rescue reference and help.

During the last decades, the introduction of Building Information Models (BIM) has opened new possibilities to ensure better communication and a shared understanding between stakeholders in construction projects. Similar benefits have been found in 4D simulations of the schedule. While BIM and 4D use has seen a steady increase, the potential benefits have not fully been realised, primarily due to tools not supporting and enabling the full potential of collaborative stakeholder involvement in scheduling. The benefits of 4D simulations come from improving communication between stakeholders. While traditional 4D modelling connects an existing BIM model with an existing schedule, a move from this type of passive 4D visualisation toward social co-creation enables all stakeholders to be involved in the scheduling process. This connection is further enhanced with the use of Virtual Reality (VR). Recent research has shown VR to enhance understanding and perception of the space and details and, thus, a better understanding of the project. This paper maps collaborative planning and scheduling method and traditional 4D scheduling using process modelling. This mapping is followed by implementing the 4D collaborative planning and scheduling method in the virtual project planning system with support for a multi-user interactive VR environment. The system enables social co-creation both during the planning and scheduling and during 4D modelling; it improves understanding of the project and the planning and scheduling.

В статье рассмотрены требования цифровизации строительной отрасли, даны рекомендации по применению программного обеспечения при проектировании промышленных зданий и сооружений. Описан процесс создания информационной модели здания Сенгилеевской гидроэлектростанции (ГЭС) и Кубанской гидроаккумулирующей электростанции (ГАЭС) в комплексной BIM-системе Renga. Выявлены проблемы при построении информационной модели уникальных гидротехнических зданий и сооружений с использованием средств автоматизированного проектирования. Изложены трудности при проектировании архитектурной части и её взаимодействии с технологической, выполненной на платформе NanoCAD. Предложено дальнейшее внедрение инструментов для эффективного проектирования и перехода с 2D DWG-редакторов на 3D на всех объектах ПАО «РусГидро» и тиражирование опыта Сенгилеевской ГЭС и Кубанской ГАЭС на всех этапах жизненного цикла проекта: проектирования, строительства и эксплуатации., The article discusses the requirements for digitalization of the construction industry, gives recommendations on the use of software in the design of industrial buildings and structures. The process of creating an information model of the building of the Sengileevskaya hydroelectric power plant and the Kuban pumped storage power plant in the complex BIM-system RENGA is described. Problems are revealed in the construction of an information model of unique hydraulic buildings and structures using computer-aided design tools. Difficulties are outlined in the design of the architectural part and interaction with the technological part, made on the NanoCAD platform. Proposed further implementation of tools for efficient design and transition from 2D DWG-editors to 3D at all facilities of PJSC RusHydro and replication of the experience of Sengileevskaya HPP and Kuban HPSP at all stages of the project life cycle: design, construction and operation.

In this study, the general algorithm and technology of design in advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software of the CAD-in-the-Cloud type using an information model (IM) was discussed in detail. Applying design systems of this type increases productivity and quality of the development and enables group work on the project. The proposed information model consists of three main components – working with Autodesk Fusion 360 on a computer, working with cloud capabilities, and designers’ collaboration through the cloud. Nevertheless, some IM elements may be missing in a particular design, or there can be options for applying the proposed steps in the design process. Developing customized respiratory protective equipment (face masks) in Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD family was considered as an example of the suggested IM application. Modern design and producing technologies enable the creation of masks according to individual anatomical characteristics of the human face. In this paper, the protective mask was created by applying modern cloud computing technologies using information models. Information models were adapted to the process of protective mask design. The model of a human headform was developed using the 3D scanning method. After applying retopology tools, a basis of the mask frame was created on the surface of a 3D model of a head. Building a solid model and testing the mask fame configuration under mechanical stresses due to facial expression changing was carried out in Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD software. Finally, the cloud module of the generative design was applied to determine the filtering element configuration.

While digitalization is expected to bring benefits in the area of land use planning, it is also redefining planning practices and entire planning cultures. Limited research exists on this digital transformation, and this article aims to narrow this gap through an empirical case study. In Finland, there is an ongoing transition towards information model (IM)-based planning, driven by public government development programs. Its principal focus is to achieve national-level interoperability of plan data. A harmonized IM for local master and detailed plans has recently been developed for use in municipal urban planning in the future. In addition, a national information system (IS) for built environment data is currently being developed. In this article, the perspectives of Finnish urban planners towards the national IM and IM-based planning were examined through a questionnaire. The results indicate that IM-based planning has a strong impact not only on planning outcomes (i.e., land use plans) but also on the planning context (e.g., planning practices and the planners themselves, software and information systems (ISs), and planning law). We argue that the high expectations set for IM-based planning will not be met without paying attention to the viewpoints of planners, planning practices, and the changes to planning culture in a wider sense. In addition to the technological aspects, the focus should also be on the social and contextual elements of planning.

Manufacturing systems based on Industry 4.0 concepts provide a greater availability of data and have modular characteristics enabling frequent changes. This raises the need for new security engineering concepts that cover the increasing complexity and frequency of mandatory security risk assessments. In contrast, the current standardization landscape used for the assessment of these systems only offers abstract, static, manual, and resource-intensive procedures. Therefore, this work proposes a method that further specifies the IEC 62443 aiming to automate the security risk assessments in such a way that manual efforts can be reduced and a consistent quality can be achieved. The methodology is presented using network segmentation as a guiding example and consists of four main steps: Information collection based on a process analysis, information formalisation with a semi-formal model, information usage applying first order logic to extract expert knowledge, and information access using the concept of the digital twin. In addition, the applicability of the IEC 62443 standard to the risk assessment of modular manufacturing systems is evaluated.

The sustainable development of the furniture industry is experiencing the challenges of energy consumption and waste disposal. Product–service systems (PSSs) have the potential to promote sustainable development and the opportunity to transition to a circular economy (CE). PSSs can bring a series of benefits to sustainable furniture, but there are still some problems to be considered, such as the safe storage and transmission of information and data and the protection of stakeholders’ rights and interests. With digitization becoming a major trend, emerging digital technologies such as blockchain (BC) are proving to have the potential to solve related problems. Therefore, this paper aims to integrate the potential roles of BC and PSSs in the lifecycle of sustainable furniture. This paper adopts a mixed quantitative and qualitative research method. Firstly, the potential relationship among furniture, PSSs, and BC was quantitatively analyzed by VOSviewer. Secondly, this paper qualitatively analyzes the lifecycle stages of sustainable furniture, the advantages of PSSs to promote sustainable furniture, and the potential of BC to enhance the PSSs information model (IM) to further promote sustainable furniture to address related challenges. Subsequently, the conceptual BC-enhanced PSSs IM (BC-PSSs) framework was constructed, which contains the high-level and the low-level of structure and process, and then reviewed and refined through pre-interview questionnaires and follow-up interviews by industry experts and scholars. In addition, discussing the contribution of the conceptual BC-PSSs framework in sustainable furniture, and the potential of BC-PSSs in quantifying design value, encouraging designers to contribute value, and exploring the potential role of BC-PSSs in supporting sustainable consumer behavior. It is the first attempt to construct a conceptual BC-enhanced PSSs IM framework for sustainable furniture from the perspective of lifecycle stages, which can serve as a reference for researchers and policymakers in relevant directions to support sustainable development, in particular contributing to the achievement of SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDGs 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

The people of Karo Regency are suing the Karo Regional Government (Pemda) for not providing an integrated communication and information system in the management of the Mount Sinabung disaster. The purpose of this study was to find an integrated model of communication and information in disaster management in Karo Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a single instrumental case study method to solve the problem of demands in the Karo community by finding a new model of disaster communication through website implementation. The object of research is a model of integrated communication and information. The subjects of this study were the Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the team, the Head of the Communications and Informatics Service and the team. Data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Data analysis techniques are carried out by displaying data, reducing relevant data, making interpretations, and concluding research results. The results of this study found an integrated model of communication and information in disaster management in Karo Regency. This research contributes in the form of recommendations for integrated communication and information models in disaster management in Karo Regency through the website. The new findings theoretically add critical thinking elements in the Source-Message-Channel-Receiver-Effective Theory to deal with disaster problems. The aspects of construction digitalization related to the use of information modeling of the construction object (BIM) and 3D printing are discussed. The object of the research is additive manufacturing and its features in development. The subject of the research is the influence of additive constructing on BIM. The purpose of the research is to develop a BIM methodology, using 3D printing. The limitations of additive constructing are analyzed, and the methodology of information modeling considering these limitations is formed as a result of the research. The main limitations of 3D printing are associated with the size of the construction object, size, shape and weight of structures, used materials, used reinforcement technology, costs, temperature and print speed. The methodology includes the formation of model with special parameters, showing their values, and the verification of parameter values for acceptability. Checking the values of the parameters can be a part of mandatory verification process of the information model. The proposed method does not depend on the level of development of a 3D printing technology.

The article considers the solution of the problem of development of the unified information model of the adjacent territory with additional assets during all life cycle. The proposed parameterization of the creation of a unified model of the object allows integrating the model of management of the adjacent territory in the unified information model of the real estate object. The issues of water management in chemical enterprises are considered to be very challenging and important at present. There are a significant number of studies devoted to individual stages of enterprises’ water management (water treatment, wastewater purification, etc.). For the first time, an integrated water management system (SWME) for the fine chemicals industry is proposed. The structure of the system is designed on a modular principle and consists of seven local subsystems: water recycling; steam generation, collection and treatment of condensate; desalted water production; high-purity water production; collection and treatment of polluted water; industrial water purification; and hot water. Balanced and interactive operation of all subsystems of SWME allows to reduce the water consumption of the enterprise as a whole by 20%, the loss of water, industrial and semi-pure wastewater, and the negative impact of the enterprise on the environment, while increase the efficiency and safety of production. Development of SWME was carried out under CALS (Continuous Acquisition and Life cycle Support) technologies—the most prospective system of computer support. The CALS technology of project design documentation (technological regulations) and an information model have been developed to optimize the input and retrieval of information at all levels of the hierarchy: an integrated system, a local subsystem, and equipment.

The semantic integration modeling of BIM industry foundations classes and GIS City-geographic markup language are a milestone for many applications that involve both domains of knowledge. In this paper, we propose a system design architecture, and implementation of Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) workflows of BIM and GIS model into RDF graph database model, these workflows were created from functional components and ontological frameworks supporting RDF SPARQL and graph databases Cypher query languages. This paper is about full understanding of whether RDF graph database is suitable for a BIM-GIS integrated information model, and it looks deeper into the assessment of translation workflows and evaluating performance metrics of a BIM-GIS integrated data model managed in an RDF graph database, the process requires designing and developing various pipelines of workflows with semantic tools in order to get the data and its structure into an appropriate format and demonstrate the potential of using RDF graph databases to integrate, manage and analyze information and relationships from both GIS and BIM models, the study also has introduced the concepts of Graph-Model occupancy indexes of nodes, attributes and relationships to measure queries outputs and giving insights on data richness and performance of the resulting BIM-GIS semantically integrated model.

Owing to the increasing existence of multistorey buildings and infrastructures in the built environment, there is a need for three-dimensional (3D) land administration systems (LAS). Regarding this, condominium rights in real-estate properties are needed to be represented as 3D for preventing misinterpretations with regards to who is responsible for or has ownership in which parts of the buildings. Digitalizing the public services appears in current strategies of governments and administrations since it contributes to transparency, speed, and accurateness in the processes. Building permitting that contains obtaining the occupancy permit is a vital one of these public services. With the even-increasing adaptation of Building Information Modelling (BIM), a whole raft of Building Information Models (BIMs) are created to use in digital building permitting. Thus, a significant opportunity for 3D delineation of condominium rights comes out of the reuse of these BIMs, especially their Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) data. In this sense, this paper puts forward an approach that includes developing the conceptual model to depict condominium rights and linking that model with the IFC schema. The applicability of the approach is demonstrated by using a floor of a simple building. The study shows that IFC-based representation of condominium rights can be beneficial for the transition to 3D LAS in Turkey.

We propose a new method to explore the information content of fixed-event forecasts and estimate structural parameters that are keys to sticky and noisy information models. Estimation follows a regression-based framework in which estimated coefficients map one-to-one with parameters that measure the degree of information rigidity. The statistical characterization of regression errors explores the laws that govern expectation formation under sticky and noisy information, that is, they are coherent with the theory. This strategy is still unexplored in the literature and potentially enhances the reliability of inference results. The method also allows linking estimation results to the signal-to-noise ratio, an important parameter of noisy information models. This task cannot be accomplished if one adopts an “agnostic” characterization of regression errors. With regard to empirical results, they show a substantial degree of information rigidity in the countries studied. They also suggest that the theoretical characterization of regression errors yields a more conservative picture of the uncertainty surrounding parameter estimates.

Background Unambiguous sharing of data requires information models and terminology in combination, but there is a lack of knowledge as to how they should be combined, leading to impaired interoperability. Objectives To facilitate creation of guidelines for SNOMED CT terminology binding we have performed a literature review to find existing recommendations and expose knowledge gaps. The primary audience is practitioners and researchers working with terminology binding. Methods PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science were searched for papers containing “terminology binding,” “subset,” “map,” “information model” or “implement” and the term “SNOMED.” Results The search yielded 616 unique papers published from 2004 to 2020, from which 55 papers were selected and analyzed inductively. Topics described in the papers include problems related to input material, SNOMED CT, information models, and lack of appropriate tools as well as recommendations regarding competence. Conclusion Recommendations are given for practitioners and researchers. Many of the stated problems can be solved by better co-operation between domain experts and informaticians and better knowledge of SNOMED CT. Settings where these competences either work together or where staff with knowledge of both act as brokers are well equipped for terminology binding. Tooling is not thoroughly researched and might be a possible way to facilitate terminology binding.

Постановка задачи. Построение информационных моделей строительных процессов невозможно без точного вычисления объема работ, выполняемого на типовой технологической стоянке (захватке). Цель работы состоит в разработке системы автоматизации вычислительных процедур, применяемых при определении объема земляных работ на типовой технологической стоянке экскаватора, которая используется в 4D- и 5D-BIM-моделях. Результаты. Получены аналитические уравнения для вычисления объема земляных работ на одной технологической стоянке экскаватора с учетом технических характеристик землеройных машин, а также условий производства работ (категорий грунта по величине угла внутреннего трения). Выводы. Аналитические зависимости объема работ на одной типовой технологической стоянке экскаватора от технических характеристик и условий производства работ (категорий грунта) могут применяться для формирования процедур автоматического вычисления объема работ, продолжительности и стоимости устройства котлованов. Величина объема работ на одной технологической захватке может применяться для формирования, оценки и выбора траектории движения экскаватора при устройстве котлована. Statement of the problem. The construction of information models of construction processes is impossible without an accurate calculation of the amount of work performed on a typical technological parking lot (gripper). The aim of the work is to automate the computational procedures used to calculate the amount of excavation work on a typical technological excavator parking lot, which is used in 4D and 5D BIM models. Results. Analytical equations are obtained for calculating the volume of earthworks at one technological site of an excavator, taking into account the technical characteristics of earthmoving machines, as well as the conditions of work (the category of soil according to the value of the internal friction angle). Conclusions. The analytical dependences of the volume of work on one typical technological site of an excavator on the technical characteristics and operating conditions (the category of soil) can be used to form procedures for automatically calculating the volume of work, the duration and cost of the construction of pits. The amount of work on a single technological gripper can be used to form, evaluate and select the trajectory of the excavator during the construction of the pit.

PurposeTransportation infrastructure projects are inevitably delayed due to delays in the completion of underground utility relocation. Unfamiliar location, difficulty in utility identification and use of ineffective coordination practices hamper timely completion of utility relocation works. This paper aims to develop integrated road information modeling (RIM) and geographic information system (GIS) models to assist early identification of utilities and effective coordination during utility relocation in infrastructure projects.Design/methodology/approachAn ethnographic action-based case study research methodology was adopted in this paper. Two ongoing infrastructure projects with significant utility relocation delays are chosen as case studies and integrated RIM-GIS models are developed to assist utility relocation. To verify the applications of developed RIM-GIS models, a focus group discussion was conducted with 10 field experts from the considered case studies.FindingsThe application of the developed RIM-GIS models enabled 3D visualization of existing underground utilities and enabled identification of utility conflicts before the start of the construction. They also enabled facilitating coordination and reduce utility relocation delays. The evaluation of the developed models shows that the RIM-GIS model approach enabled early planning and coordination and facilitates effective management of utility relocations.Practical implicationsThe current practices of using CAD and GIS for utility relocations are inadequate due to the difficulties in characterizing utilities and ineffective coordination practices. The proposed RIM-GIS approach can be adopted as a suitable alternative for effective management of utility relocations.Originality/valueSeveral studies have contributed toward integrating BIM and GIS for the analysis of highway and utility infrastructure projects. Efforts on integrating RIM and GIS for the support and management of utility relocations in highway and utility infrastructure projects remain unexplored.

Introduction. Based on the trends, the growing interest in VR technology in construction can be traced. This relatively new technology is rapidly replacing traditional visualization methods, providing users with an enhanced digital experience. The aim of the work is to analyze the application of virtual reality technology in construction, based on the analysis, determine how to improve integration and find new ideas for the application of technologies.Methods and materials. As a result of the analysis of previous studies, it was revealed that there are no methods for transferring data from the VR system to the BIM software. In connection with the identified problem, the goal of this scientific work is to improve the integration of VR and BIM technologies by automatically transferring data from a virtual reality program to the original information model.Results. In the course of the work, a project was created based on a BIM model made in the Autodesk Revit software package and imported into the Unreal Engine 4 game engine to create an interactive virtual environment. A new approach to the creation and presentation of a project sketch using virtual reality technology is considered - a method of intuitive design in a virtual environment.Discussion and conclusion. The software module is at the stage of early development; nevertheless, it has prospects for development into a full-fledged application available to any user. The paper provides the main directions for the continuation of the application development.

This article discusses the information modeling process of the quality assessment of content in the expertise of typical learning plans and typical learning programs (typical curricula). The results of the study of linear-concentrically constructed traditional and updated standard curricula and logical and technological map of the process of expertise of typical learning plans and typical learning programs (typical curricula) are presented. The problems of implementation associated with the meta-subject orientation of typical curricula are shown. A new form has been proposed, which provides for planning for each individual subject. Among the main substantive differences of the updated standard curricula, the following are considered: the values ​​of secondary education, the construction of programs in accordance with the expected results, the spiral construction of subject curricula, the taxonomy of educational goals, functional literacy, the adequacy of the content of sections and topics of academic disciplines to modern trends and focus on development and the formation of socially significant competences, etc. The improvement of the technology with a new algorithm for evaluating typical learning plans and typical learning programs (typical curricula) and making expert decisions is proposed. This study was carried out within the framework of the scientific and technical program "Scientific bases of modernization of the education and science system" at the National Academy of Education named after Y.Altynsarin of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The priority of modern business systems of municipal waste management is recycling of waste materials while the imperative of their mission is determined by the degree of digital transformation which enables their reproduction, distribution, usage, and storage of information in digital form, as well as new ways of digital communication with the general public. In this paper the focus is on examining the information practices and digital perspectives of municipal waste recycling service providers in Europe. The goal of this paper was to detect information concepts relevant for establishing the degree of their digital maturity. Five data classes were created for the purpose of content analysis method to conduct research on practices on digital communication channels in seven countries to evaluate their availability and accuracy. The designed information model defines a unique conceptual framework of the digital communication information set of the municipal waste recycling service providers.

PurposeThe engineering education accreditation (EEA) is a principal quality assurance mechanism. However, at many education institutions, the most labor-intensive work of EEA process is accomplished manually. Without the support of computer and information technology, the EEA process leads to high labor intensity, low work efficiency and poor management level. The purpose of this paper is to build a complex network model and realize an information management system of talent training program for supporting the EEA process.Design/methodology/approachBased on polychromatic graph (PG), this paper builds a network model of talent training program for engineering specialty. The related information and data are organized and processed in this network model. From the bidirections of top-down and bottom-up, the user requirements are retrieved automatically in logic layer. Together with the specialty of mechanical engineering, the proposed PG-based network modeling method is applied and the corresponding information management system is realized.FindingsThe study results show that the PG-based network modeling method takes full advantages of the strong simulation ability of PG to model the complex network system and has some unique merits in formal expression of problem, efficient processing of information and lightweight realization of system. Further, the information management system of talent training program can reduce the tedious human labor and improve the management level of EEA process dramatically.Originality/valueThis paper proposes a PG-based network modeling method, in which the nodes and the edges can be painted by some unified colors to describe the different kinds of activities and the various types of interactions. Theoretically, this modeling method does not distinguish the activities, the interactions and their properties in graphic symbol and the problem size is diminished about a half. Furthermore, this paper provides an effective experience and idea to the education institutions for implementing the engineering education accreditation, increasing the education management efficiency and promoting the talent training quality.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to develop a building information modelling (BIM)-based mixed reality (MR) application to enhance and facilitate the process of managing bridge inspection and maintenance works remotely from office. It aims to address the ineffective decision-making process on maintenance tasks from the conventional method which relies on documents and 2D drawings on visual inspection. This study targets two key issues: creating a BIM-based model for bridge inspection and maintenance; and developing this model in a MR platform based on Microsoft Hololens. Design/methodology/approach Literature review is conducted to determine the limitation of MR technology in the construction industry and identify the gaps of integration of BIM and MR for bridge inspection works. A new framework for a greater adoption of integrated BIM and Hololens is proposed. It consists of a bridge information model for inspection and a newly-developed Hololens application named “HoloBridge”. This application contains the functional modules that allow users to check and update the progress of inspection and maintenance. The application has been implemented for an existing bridge in South Korea as the case study. Findings The results from pilot implementation show that the inspection information management can be enhanced because the inspection database can be systematically captured, stored and managed through BIM-based models. The inspection information in MR environment has been improved in interpretation, visualization and visual interpretation of 3D models because of intuitively interactive in real-time simulation. Originality/value The proposed framework through “HoloBridge” application explores the potential of integrating BIM and MR technology by using Hololens. It provides new possibilities for remote inspection of bridge conditions.

Over the past decade, the fields of civil engineering, i.e., structural engineering, have increasingly used the building information modelling (BIM) approach in both professional practice and as the focus of research. However, the field of structural engineering, which can be seen as a sub-discipline of civil engineering, misses, as far as the authors are aware, a real state-of-the-art on the use of BIM in this regard. The aim of this paper, therefore, is to start bridging that gap. In particular, the authors have conducted a traditional literature review on the utilisation of BIM in structural engineering, enabling them to perform a detailed content analysis of publications. The qualitative investigation of the literature that the authors have conducted has highlighted six main BIM uses in structural engineering: (1) structural analyses; (2) production of shop drawings; (3) optimized structural design, early identification of constructability issues, and a comparison of different structural solutions; (4) seismic risk assessments; (5) existing-condition modelling and retrofitting of structures; and (6) structural health monitoring. Each of these is discussed in relation to their reference workflows; use of information models; information exchanges; and main limitations. In the conclusions, the authors identify current gaps in knowledge, as well as likely developments and improvements in the utilization of BIM in structural engineering. The authors also outline the possible significance of this work more broadly.

Introduction. Interest in the problem of false (fake) news has increased significantly in the situation of the coronavirus pandemic, when the flow of false information considered as an obstacle to the implementation of measures to combat the pandemic itself and its consequences. The authors aim to study the existing works devoted to the analysis of the construction and recognition of false news about COVID-19, paying special attention to the procedures of fact-checking-process of verifying the accuracy of the information contained in the message. The novelty of the author’s approach lies in the use of a content analysis of the fact-checking resource to identify communication technologies for constructing fake news about the coronavirus.Methodology and sources. As a theoretical framework, authors used the information model of communication by Claude Shannon, structuring communication as a process of information transmission and fixing the possibility of noise (distortion) in various parts of this process. The empirical basis of the study was a fact-checking resource that specializes in identifying fakes about the coronavirus (47 units of analysis were considered for the period from March to May 2020).Results and discussion. In the result of the research, specific communication technologies of purposeful construction of false news were identified – distortions in the communication channel, distortions in the message code (content), distortions in the message source. We also identified the types of distortions associated with the content of communication – based on the creation of false content, recoding information (giving it a new interpretation), editing the original. Different frequency of application of these technologies for a given volume of analysis units were been recorded, as well a s the predominance of the technology of distortion of the communication channel.Conclusion. The authors draw a conclusion about the importance and relevance of the topic of constructing fake news in the situation of the ongoing COVID -19 pandemic, demonstrate the productivity of using fact-checking resources to identify various communicative technologies for constructing false messages, which creates new prospects for recognizing and countering them.

Practitioners are poorly supported by the scientific literature when managing traceability information models (TIMs), which capture the structure and semantics of trace links. In practice, companies manage their TIMs in very different ways, even in cases where companies share many similarities. We present our findings from an in-depth focus group about TIM management with three different systems engineering companies. We find that the concrete needs of the companies as well as challenges such as scale and workflow integration are not considered by existing scientific work. We thus issue a call-to-arms for the requirements engineering and software and systems traceability communities, the two main communities for traceability research, to refocus their work on these practical problems., \copyright 2020 IEEE. Subject. The article deals with the information support to the analysis of the reproduction process in construction organizations. Objectives. The purpose is to create an information model that takes into account the particular characteristics of the analysis of the reproduction process of fixed assets, specifics of the activities of construction organizations, forms and types of reproduction. Methods. The study draws on general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, a structural and logical approach to economic processes and phenomena. Results. I developed an information model for integrated analysis of the reproduction process of fixed assets in construction organizations, reviewed the theoretical aspects of definitions of information and information support, which enabled to determine theoretical approaches to building an information model. The offered information model structures data flows in two subsystems: accounting and non-accounting data. By collecting and processing information about the reproduction process, the proposed model generates the necessary information for analysis. Economic analysis helps select the best option for the reproduction of fixed assets, the optimality criterion of which is an increase in the profit of the construction organization. Conclusions. The presented information model enables to form a comprehensive and reliable set of data that affect the quality of the comprehensive economic analysis.

Masonry arch railway bridges represent a historically built heritage to be preserved. The multidisciplinary approach requires the construction of a common language, namely the creation of a formal conceptualisation of bridge domain that could serve as basis for both adding new layers of knowledge in H-BIM modeling and aiding the automatic segmentation of masonry bridge point clouds, thus supporting the semi-automatic creation of information models. The presented research aims at showing the results of an in-depth analysis conducted on masonry arched bridges computational ontologies; following this, the authors propose a semantic conceptualization in the masonry bridge domain, structured with three group of key concepts needed in the process of knowledge: bridge elements, materials, and defects. As a case study the masonry bridges of the Sicilian Circumetnea railway are chosen.

This paper presents a comparative approach between a digital documentation workflow using contemporary tools versus a traditional documentation technique for Felix Candela's hyperbolic paraboloid (hypar) modern heritage building: Cosmic Rays Pavilion. This documentation was undertaken to better understand the building’s structure, its evolution, and to assess the performance of this concrete structure for future seismic and damage analysis. Furthermore, the paper discusses the challenges related to producing a Heritage Building Information Model (HBIM) of this building using point cloud data in Autodesk’s Revit BIM-authoring software. This project states the importance of a parallel study between the traditional and the contemporary documentation methods; which led to discoveries about the current state of the extrados in the hypar after several earthquakes. Upon analyzing the HBIM and comparing it to the historical drawings, a gap was discovered between the moisture barrier membrane and the concrete shell. Visualizing the building in 3D provides a deeper and more accurate understanding of the current state of this pavilion and is one of many advantages of using digital technologies. The insights provided by digital documentation techniques and analyzing the historical images of the pavilion showed that the curvature of the pavilion has been modified over time. The results imply two hypotheses. First, the curvature profile has been altered due to earthquakes. Second, the modification is due to improper maintenance of the pavilion, namely, multiple additions of the membrane layers. This could not have been detected by solely relying on traditional documentation techniques.

The issues of creating an integrated information system for process analyzing the functioning of the competitive electricity market in the new conditions of complex relationships and potential risks after the introduction of a liberalized market model in Ukraine are considered. The peculiarities of its functioning are determined, which require new computer simulation tools that provide market participants with the opportunity to formulate and accept strategies for their own behavior in different segments of the competitive market. The existing solutions and researches in the field of creation of modern software tools for the modeling, forecasting and optimization of functioning of the energy markets in the world are analyzed. The direction of development of such means is determined and the structural-functional structure of the organizational management system is offered, which is presented by the functional components of preparation and decision-making process concerning the strategy of the market participant's own behavior in its segments. The interfaces of the main modules of the information modeling system for processes analysis of the competitive market, which becomes a component of the integrated system of organizational management of the electricity market, are given.

This paper presents approaches for the employment of non-contact sensing to enhance both the efficiency and reliability of numerical modelling of historic masonry. It commences with a thorough review of the high-level numerical modelling approaches of historic masonry. Following, the accuracy and cost-effectivity of available non-contact sensing techniques are reviewed for surveying masonry structures. These are: a) the total station; b) the laser tracker; c) Structure-from-Motion (SfM) photogrammetry; and d) terrestrial laser scanning (TLS). Then, strategies of automatically developing geometric models (i.e., numerical models before structural analysis) from geospatial data are reviewed, considering their potential for automation and usage. These were based on the employment of: a) point clouds; b) meshes; c) non-uniform rational basis splines (NURBSs); d) building information models (BIMs); e) orthoimages; and f) discrete points. Primarily, the review found that high-level numerical modelling approaches such as the continuum and block-based models are highly effective, but necessitate accurate geometric data for reliable results. To bridge this gap, the potential of emerging technologies such as SfM photogrammetry was found to significantly improve the efficiency and robustness of high-level structural analysis, through providing geometric data accurately and with a low cost. Moreover, the cloud-based (i.e., with a point cloud) and image-based (i.e., with an orthoimage) approaches of converting geospatial data into numerical models were also found the most effective, for continuum and block-based modelling respectively. This contribution demonstrates the potential to employ novel digital technologies such as non-contact sensing techniques to improve the efficiency and robustness of high-level numerical modelling approaches.

Não recebi financiamento Due to the dynamic nature of water distribution systems, their operational management ideally should be supported by hydraulic modeling, which is recommended by ABNT NBR 12.218/2017 as a planning and operation instrument. Hydraulic models are tools capable of representing in simulations the behavior of the system, according to its physical, logical and topological configuration, making it possible to analyze its current conditions and make predictions. In order to achieve the purpose of operational management supported by modeling, instead of only using it as punctual applications for specific analysis, the quality of the asset register, real-time monitoring capabilities, data analysis, forecasting and anomaly detection models are increasingly relevant. Given NBR 12.218; Decree No. 9.9.83, of 2019, which sets as a goal the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for engineering works and services; and Decree No. 10.306 which determines BIM be applied to building’s operations and management as far year 2028, the objective of this research was to investigate the relationships between these tools in the context of the water sector’s digital transformation focusing on water distribution networks. Therefore, a literature bibliometric review was conducted based on three research axes, comprising 114 articles: 1) Hydraulic modeling and operational management; 2) Information models and distribution networks; 3) Smart water and related concepts. Among the main results, it was observed that until 2015, the research focus mostly lied on subjects related to hydraulic modeling and calibration methods. From 2016, topics related to more dynamic approaches, such as real-time monitoring, cyber security and smart water started gaining traction, with great interest in smart metering and the use of IoT technologies. There was a prevalence of studies focusing on technical solutions addressing benchmark systems, considering systems already calibrated and with well-known hydraulic parameters, and a gap was found in research relating to the practical needs of service providers, such as business cases evidencing the advantages and opportunities of return on investments in digital technologies. Devido ao caráter dinâmico dos sistemas de distribuição de água, recomenda-se que seu gerenciamento operacional seja apoiado em modelagem hidráulica, a qual é preconizada pela ABNT NBR 12.218/2017 como instrumento de planejamento e operação. Modelos hidráulicos são ferramentas capazes de representar em simulações o comportamento do sistema, conforme sua configuração física, lógica e topológica, possibilitando analisar suas condições atuais e fazer previsões. Para se atingir o fim de gerenciamento operacional apoiado em modelagem, e não só a aplicação pontual de modelos para análises específicas, a qualidade do cadastro de ativos, recursos de monitoramento em tempo real, análise de dados, modelos de previsão e de detecção de anomalias se mostram cada vez mais relevantes. Dados a NBR 12.218, o decreto nº 9.9.83, de 2019, que coloca como meta a implementação do Building Information Modeling (BIM) para obras e serviços de engenharia, e o decreto nº 10.306, que prevê, a partir de 2028, o seu uso para fins de operação e manutenção dos empreendimentos, almejou-se investigar as relações entre essas ferramentas no contexto da transformação digital do saneamento com foco em redes de distribuição de água. Para tanto, foi conduzida uma revisão bibliométrica de literatura embasada em três eixos de pesquisa e agregando 114 artigos: 1) Modelagem hidráulica e gerenciamento operacional; 2) Modelos de informação e redes de distribuição; 3) Smart water e conceitos correlatos. Dentre os principais resultados, observou-se que, entre 2015 e 2016, o foco das pesquisas começa a migrar de assuntos mais voltados a modelagem hidráulica e métodos de calibração para abordagens mais dinâmicas, com monitoramento em tempo real, segurança cibernética e smart water, evidenciando-se grande interesse em medição inteligente e uso de tecnologias de Internet das Coisas. Notou-se prevalência de estudos voltados a soluções técnicas abordando sistemas benchmark, considerando sistemas já calibrados e com parâmetros hidráulicos bem conhecidos, e um distanciamento da pesquisa em relação às necessidades práticas de prestadores de serviços, como casos de negócio evidenciando as vantagens e oportunidades de retorno de investimentos em tecnologias digitais.

Studies revealed that most heritage buildings in Malaysia are deteriorating due to poor maintenance of recorded documentation. Unfortunately, conserving heritage buildings is a complex and multi-layered process that requires collaboration between different stakeholders. Heritage Building Information Modeling (HBIM) is seen as an opportunity to establish a well-managed data collection. This paper attempts to examine the awareness, benefits and challenges of the implementation of BIM among stakeholders. Sixty-nine respondents with BIM knowledge and skills answered the questionnaire. Findings show significant attributes that could improve building conservation project performance, delivery and management, hence several challenges that need further improvement.
