Tema rada je analiza i usporedba različtih transportnih sustava u poljoprivredi koji zajedno čine jednu cijelinu, a to su integralni transportni sustavi. U radu se spominju različiti transportni sustavi pri prijevozu raznih poljoprivrednih proizvoda i dobara. Pored svih navedenih transportnih sredstava koji se najviše koriste u svijetu, tako se u radu analizira cestovni prijevoz lakopokvarljivih proizvoda specijaliziranim kamionima, brodski transport žitarica i hlađenih teret, te željeznički transport poljoprivrednih dobara. Najviše pažnje je posvećeno transportnim sredstvima, teretima koji se transportiraju i njihovim zahtjevima, ukrcaju i iskrcaju tereta, pristaništima, lukama, terminalima, učincima i količinama, te pravilnicima i međunarodnim sporazumima o transportu poljoprivrednih proizvoda i dobara, kao i značaj europskih prometnih koridora i ruta, sa naglaskom na Republiku Hrvatsku., The topic of this paper is the analysis and comparison of different transport systems in agriculture that together form one whole and those are integrated transportation systems. The paper mentions different transport systems in the transport of various agricultural products and goods. In addition to all the above-mentioned means of transport that are mostly used in the world, the paper analyzes the road transport of perishable products by specialized trucks, ship transport of cereals and refrigerated cargo, and rail transport of agricultural goods. Most attention is paid to means of transport, cargo and their requirements, loading and unloading of cargo, ports, terminals, effects and quantities, and regulations and international agreements on the transport of agricultural products and goods, as well as the importance of European transport corridors and routes, with emphasis on the Republic of Croatia.

Purpose: [18F]Fluoroethoxybenzovesamicol ([18F]FEOBV) is a radioligand for the vesicular acetylcholine transporter (VAChT), a marker of the cholinergic system. We evaluated the quantification of [18F]FEOBV in rats in control conditions and after partial saturation of VAChT using plasma and reference tissue input models and test-retest reliability. Procedure: Ninety-minute dynamic [18F]FEOBV PET scans with arterial blood sampling were performed in control rats and rats pretreated with 10 μg/kg FEOBV. Kinetic analyses were performed using one- (1TCM) and two-tissue compartmental models (2TCM), Logan and Patlak graphical analyses with metabolite-corrected plasma input, reference tissue Patlak with cerebellum as reference tissue, standard uptake value (SUV) and SUV ratio (SUVR) using 60- or 90-min acquisition. To assess test-retest reliability, two dynamic [18F]FEOBV scans were performed 1 week apart. Results: The 1TCM did not fit the data. Time-activity curves were more reliably estimated by the irreversible than the reversible 2TCM for 60 and 90 min as the influx rate Ki showed a lower coefficient of variation (COV, 14–24 %) than the volume of distribution VT (16–108 %). Patlak graphical analysis showed a good fit to the data for both acquisition times with a COV (12–27 %) comparable to the irreversible 2TCM. For 60 min, Logan analysis performed comparably to both irreversible models (COV 14–32 %) but showed lower sensitivity to VAChT saturation. Partial saturation of VAChT did not affect model selection when using plasma input. However, poor correlations were found between irreversible 2TCM and SUV and SUVR in partially saturated VAChT states. Test-retest reliability and intraclass correlation for SUV were good. Conclusion: [18F]FEOBV is best modeled using the irreversible 2TCM or Patlak graphical analysis. SUV should only be used if blood sampling is not possible.

The economy of Singapore is characterised by a stable political environment, favourable business conditions and very well-developed infrastructure attracting foreign direct investment, being the driving force of the economy. It is highly dependent on export, as well as on the dynamic sectors of transport, business and financial services. Singapore’s natural deep-sea ports and the geographical location at the crossroads of important shipping channels makes its trade a major economic sector, next to production and services. There are currently more than 5,000 maritime companies operating in Singapore, including over 130 international shipping groups, which constitute an important pillar for the international maritime transport hub. This article discusses Singapore’s economic situation by analysing the dynamic GDP growth over the years 1960– 2016 as well as other economic indicators achieved in 2004–2017, including the dynamics of foreign trade. This research covers the port’s ownership and organisational structure, and its terminals have been reviewed in terms of their location, infrastructure and functions by taking into account the new generation terminal of the port of Tuas, currently under development. Over the years, the port has seen a steady increase in revenue from transhipment, which is confirmed by the dynamics of the container volume growth over the years 1972–2017, the transhipment volume over the years 2007–2018 and the number of container ships calling at the port along with their total capacity over the years 2007–2017, as elaborated in the article.

The thesis deals with the replacement of SPACOM protective system with new RELION series terminals. SPACOM protection sets have been discontinued and the manufacturer is discontinuing their support (i.e. discontinuation of deliveries of complete devices from warehouses and discontinuation of repairs and spare parts), which means that it is necessary to replace these protection sets with available devices. I have chosen RELION terminals from the same manufacturer as a possible replacement. These have a number of advantages over the now obsolete SPACOM protectors. The main advantage is the much larger range of protection functions available and the free programmability of these functions as well as the binary inputs and outputs. Other advantages are the possibility of complete control of a given outlet directly from the terminal, the recording of changes in inputs, outputs and states of protection functions, the recording of analogue and state values during faults on the power equipment, the permanent measurement of power analogue and state values during faults on the power equipment, the permanent measurement of power analogue values and time synchronisation and the transfer of all information to a higher-level control or information system, in our case to the NEMES system, where this information is archived and can be traced back. The terminal also performs a check wether the on and off paths, are closed which provides a better overview of the status and readiness of the switch. A significant advantage is also the considerable reduction of the number of other devices (power, auxiliary, time and special relays, transmitters, etc.) and thus the reduction of their possible failures. The theoretical part deals with the description of individual sets of protectors and terminals, their protective and other functions and their use. In the practical part, the desing of the logic of new terminals for use in the actual replacement is elaborated. In the final part of the thesis the pros and cons of each set of protections and terminals is summarized and a suitable option for the replacement of SPACOM protection sets is recommended. Here, the functional characteristics of the terminals is taken into account as well as the operational requirements and the economic aspect. The aim of this work is to prepare the basis for the replacement of the protections at the nuclear plant, which is necessary from the point of view of further long term operation. Furthermore, it can help in the preparation of both the tender and the implementation documentation, and it can also help to prepare for the replacement itself, which due to the outage schedule, is always essentially limited in time.

Este documento aborda as possibilidades abertas pela 5G na área das Redes de Segurança Pública, ou seja, nas redes de comunicação destinadas às autoridades, polícia, protecção civil, bombeiros, infra-estruturas críticas, e a todos os envolvidos em actividades de emergência e segurança. É apresentada a evolução dos terminais e serviços, até aos novos elementos de desgaste; os serviços associados são também abordados, até às realidades aumentadas e virtuais, bio-métricas e monitorização de sinais vitais do corpo, bem como uma melhor precisão de localização. Os aspectos técnicos são abordados numa perspectiva geral, nomeadamente a métrica de implementação de serviços-chave (taxas de dados, latência, fiabilidade e capacidade de conectividade), interface rádio (maior flexibilidade e eficiência dos 4G) e características de rede (virtualização/slicing de redes e arquitecturas de nuvem/edge). As oportunidades e desafios na implementação de 5G especificamente para Redes de Segurança Pública são muitos, os primeiros englobando a utilização de redes comerciais e o salto das actuais redes baseadas em 2G para as 5G, enquanto que os segundos incluem escassez de espectro, implementação das características necessárias e problemas de segurança. Ainda assim, as possibilidades que são abertas por 5G para as Redes de Segurança Pública são infinitas e ninguém pode dar-se ao luxo de ficar de fora. This paper addresses the possibilities opened by 5G in the area of Public Safety Networks, i.e., in communication networks aimed at authorities, police, civil protection, fire departments, critical infrastructures, and all of those involved in emergency and security activities. The evolution of terminals and services is presented, up to the new wearables; the associated services are also addressed, up to augmented and virtual realities, bio-metrics and body vital signs monitoring, as well as improved localisation accuracy. Technical aspects are addressed in a general perspective namely key services implementation metrics (data rates, latency, reliability, and connectivity capacity), radio interface (increased flexibility and efficiency of 4G’s) and network features (virtualisation/slicing of networks and cloud/edge architectures). The opportunities and challenges on the deployment of 5G specifically for Public Safety Networks are quite many, the former encompassing the usage of commercial networks and the leap from today’s 2G based networks to 5G ones, while the latter includes shortage of spectrum, implementation of required features and security problems. The use of autonomous systems at wood processing sites of forest industries can significantly increase safety, productivity and efficiency by reducing the number of monotonous and dangerous tasks conducted by human labor utilizing heavy machinery. However, autonomous machine operation in mill yards is challenging because of the dynamic and complex working environment and partly unstructured processes. The inherent complexity of wood handling and storage tasks requires significant human expertise. Rapid advancements in sensor technologies and machine learning techniques, along with increases in available computational power have enabled progress in automated operation frameworks and algorithms development, which opens the door to the introduction of novel autonomous systems into this environment. With the aim of gaining a better understanding of current issues and facilitating optimal strategies for the deployment of high-level autonomous systems in mill yard environments, this study: (1) utilizes a systematicliterature review to map current autonomous technologies and algorithms suitable for adoption by the forest industry in automation of vehicles working in mill yards; (2) summarizes and discusses the potential feasibility of the considered sensors, systems and adoption strategies, and considers implementation challenges for high-level autonomous machinery in mill yard environments; and (3) proposes a system framework that integrates multiple technologies to enable autonomous navigation and material handling in mill yards. The study is the first of its kind as a comprehensive study on autonomous vehicles and machinery in mill yard environments. Our novel framework aids in the identification of follow-up research areas and thus promotes the adoption and use of complex autonomous systems in industrial environments.

This paper introduces an advisory-based time slot management system (TSMS) to control truck arrivals at seaport terminals with the aim to reduce congestion at terminal gates. A modeling framework is proposed, developed, and applied to assess the impact of a truck arrival shift for a case study in the Port of Rotterdam. This system is designed to apply control policies on truck inflow while taking the behavioral aspect of truck operating companies (TOCs) into account. Discrete choice modeling is used to infer the time-of-day preferences of TOCs for container pick-ups from the exchange of information between port and hinterland stakeholders. These preferences are used to shift truck arrivals to the off-peak period which consequently reduces the high waiting time of trucks at terminals gates. To evaluate the effectiveness of the designed TSMS, a simulation platform that resembles terminal operations has been developed using discrete-event simulation. For the allocation of trucks to a certain time of day, a choice-based stochastic assignment heuristic is designed to approximate the optimum configuration of the truck arrival shift policy experiment. The optimum truck arrival shift design shows that significant gain can be obtained even at a low shift rate.

RESUMEN: En el siguiente trabajo se explican las diferentes infraestructuras que se pueden encontrar en un puerto y los distintos servicios portuarios que se ofrecen para poder llevar a cabo operaciones en puerto. Los puertos son de vital importancia para el desarrollo de la economía, ya que gran parte de la mercancía mundial se mueve mediante el transporte marítimo. Pero de nada serviría mover esa mercancía por mar, si no existiesen las infraestructuras necesarias en un puerto que permitan llevar a cabo la carga y descarga de las mercancías. Por eso tienen tanta importancia estas instalaciones, ya que sin ellas se podría decir que difícilmente existiría un transporte marítimo tan eficiente como el que hay en la actualidad. Además, existe una gran variedad de mercancías que llegan a los puertos, lo que ha obligado a construir diferentes terminales especializadas en cada tipo de carga. También hay que pagar unas tasas para poder utilizar las infraestructuras del puerto, y además pagar unas tarifas por cada servicio portuario que sea necesario. Todas estas tasas varían en función de las Autoridades Portuarias, y cada una tiene su manera de calcularse para saber el monto que hay que pagar, tanto por la utilización de las instalaciones, como por los servicios que ofrecen los puertos. ABSTRACT: The following work explains the different infrastructures that can be found in a port and the different port services offered to carry out operations in port. Ports are very important for the development of the economy because most of the world's goods are moved through maritime transport. But it would be useless to move those goods by sea, if the necessary infrastructures in a port did not exist that allow the loading and unloading of those goods. That is why these port facilities are so important, because without them there would hardly be a maritime transport as efficient as the one that exists today. In addition, there is a great variety of goods that arrive at the ports, which has made it necessary to build different specialized terminals for each type of cargo. Also is necessary to pay taxes to use the port infrastructure and pay different rates too for each port services that the ships need. All of this taxes depends on the Ports Authorities, and each one has his own manner to be calculated to know the total amount to pay for the use of the infrastructures and for the port services. The safety and reliability of the energy transmission system of electric vehicles (EVs) are decided by the connection reliability of the high-voltage (HV) wire harness and terminals. When the terminal and the HV wire harness are connected by the usual mechanical crimping methods such as hydraulic pressure, there are the edges and corners on the terminal, and gaps between the wire harness and terminal, which are prone to fretting corrosion and threaten the power system. In this work, an electromagnetic pulse crimping (EMPC) system has been designed and developed for joining the Cu wire harness and the Cu terminal of the EV. When the discharge voltage is 13 kV, it can deliver the discharge current of 70 kA peak value, causing the joint of the Cu terminal and the Cu HV wire harness. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) were used to analyze the microstructure and element distribution of the joint interface. A good and strong metallurgical bond was obtained at the surface of the Cu HV wire harness, the Cu terminal, and each strand of the Cu HV wire harness. There were a flat interface and a wavy interface between the Cu HV wire harness and the Cu terminal because of the gap on the field shaper.

U ovom diplomskom radu obrađena je tematika vezana za rad u programu EPLAN Electric P8 i izrađena je projektna dokumentacija električne i LAN instalacije nastavnog laboratorija za Osnove elektrotehnike. U uputama za rad u programu EPLAN Electric P8 opisani su postupci za izradu elektrotehničkih shema, izradu grafičkog prikaza panela, izradu 3D modela i generiranje izvještaja. Dan je postupak izrade novog projekta pomoću predložaka, kreiranje nove stranice u izrađenom projektu i postavljanje direktorija. Objašnjen je postupak izrade strukture stranica. Dana su objašnjenja za umetanje simbola, njihovo međusobno povezivanje i umetanje uređaja iz EPLAN Data Portal-a. Izrada grafičkog prikaza panela izvodi se na stranici PANEL LAYOUT gdje je potrebno umetnuti panel na stranicu i umetnuti deklarirane uređaje u elektrotehničkim shemama. Izrada 3D modela izvodi se pomoću LAYOUT SPACE gdje se mogu umetnuti 3D modeli deklariranih komponenti. Obrađen je postupak generiranja izvještaja pomoću opcije REPORTS. Projektna dokumentacija nastavnog laboratorija za Osnove elektrotehnike sadrži shemu razvodnog ormara, shemu upravljačkog panela ispitnog pulta i shemu panela sa komponentama. In this diploma thesis, the topic related to the work in the program EPLAN Electric P8 is processed and the project documentation of electrical and LAN installation of the teaching laboratory for Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering is prepared. The instructions for working in the EPLAN Electric P8 describe the procedures for creating electrical diagrams, creating a graphical display of panels, creating 3D models and generating reports. The process of creating a new project using templates, creating a new page in the created project and setting up a directory is given. The process of creating a page structure is explained. Explanations are given for inserting symbols, their interconnection and inserting devices from the EPLAN Data Portal. Creating a graphic display of the panel is performed on the PANEL LAYOUT page where it is necessary to insert the panel on the page and insert the declared devices in the electrical diagrams. Creating 3D models is performed using LAYOUT SPACE where 3D models of declared components can be inserted. The process of generating a report using the REPORTS option has been processed. The project documentation of the teaching laboratory for Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering contains the scheme of the distribution cabinet, the scheme of the control panel of the test desk and the scheme of the panel with components. Cable routes in the room were also made, and the spatial arrangement of lighting and sockets in the room was given. Equipment, cable, connection, and terminal list reports were generated. A LAN installation scheme has been created.

The European Commission Horizon 2020 ULTRAWAVE “Ultra capacity wireless layer beyond 100 GHz based on millimeter waves” is in the final stage of development. The first ever field test of a D-band point to multipoint wireless system will be performed in a real environment. The ULTRAWAVE wireless system comprises a D-band Transmission Hub to produce a 30 degree sector with 600 m radius with multi gigabit per second data rate and a number of compact D-band terminals. The terminals will be distributed at different distances from the transmission hub to recreate real deployment condition. The paper describes the latest update on the development of the ULTRAWAVE systems and the field test set up.

The maritime terminals design process includes a series of strategic decision involving the engagement of relevant amount of resources. In fact, operating conditions near the maximum capacity generate congestion and the related negative consequences on capacity and regularity. The authors developed different methods and models capable to support some of these key decisions. These methods allow at selecting the most suitable parameters to describe terminals, to determine dimensional and equipment characteristics and to verify the production of the terminals. For all them, various extended investigations on operated port terminals for data acquisition and homogenization are available: surveys on operated terminals, sampling criteria to ensure quality of derived design parameters, analysis and correlations to provide design and operational elements. Past and present surveys cover a sampling of 40 European terminals for the setup of the method in 1985, a sampling of 93 terminals within 49 European ports in 2008 and a geographical extension to Latin America and the Carribean and an update of the method in 2021, specific object of the present paper.

With the digitization and intellectualization of gas insulated substations (GIS), secondary device such as online monitoring digital terminals are put into the switchyard and can possibly be influenced by the transient radiation field of GIS switch operation. In order to clarify the immunity of online monitoring digital terminals to transient radiation field of GIS switch operation, and to improve the online monitoring testing project in GB/T 17626.10-2017,this paper developed a simulator for transient radiation field environment of GIS switch operation. Then, based on this experiment platform, a radiation effect experiment was conducted on the PCB-level digital component and CAN bus, which proved that the radiation field of GIS switch operation could cause strong electromagnetic interference to online monitoring digital terminal device. The research results provide a reference for improving the test platform for the access of online monitoring equipment.

Like several other arthropod species, stick insects use their antennae for tactile exploration of the near-range environment and for spatial localisation of touched objects. More specifically, Carausius morosus continuously moves its antennae during locomotion and reliably responds to antennal contact events with directed movements of a front leg. Here we investigate the afferent projection patterns of antennal hair fields (aHF), proprioceptors known to encode antennal posture and movement, and to be involved in antennal movement control. We show that afferents of all seven aHF of C. morosus have terminal arborisations in the dorsal lobe (DL) of the cerebral (=supraoesophageal) ganglion, and descending collaterals that terminate in a characteristic part of the gnathal (=suboesophageal) ganglion. Despite differences of functional roles among aHF, terminal arborisation patterns show no topological arrangement according to segment specificity or direction of movement. In the DL, antennal motoneuron neurites show arborizations in proximity to aHF afferent terminals. Despite the morphological similarity of single mechanoreceptors of aHF and adjacent tactile hairs on the pedicel and flagellum, we find a clear separation of proprioceptive and exteroceptive mechanosensory neuropils in the cerebral ganglion. Moreover, we also find this functional separation in the gnathal ganglion.

This study examines the role of private off dock terminal in enhancing port efficiency in Nigeria; the purpose of the study is to examine the extent to which private off-dock terminals have contributed to the efficiency of ports in Nigeria with respect to cargo clearance and forwarding, questionnaires were administered and review has been carried out to obtain primary data collection. A total of 100 questionnaires were administered to respondents and related literatures have been used for secondary data. A survey design method was adopted for the study. The statistical tools employed in analyzing the analysis are simple percentage; tables and hypothesis were tested using chi-square. Based on the findings, private off dock terminal has not really impacted on Lagos port over the last five years based on the cargo volume handled by them. It also reveals that private off dock terminal is facing problem in its implementation in Nigeria such as the availability of railway connectivity and inadequate finance and also the inconsistencies of government policies in line with off dock operations. The findings also reveals that the cost of clearing cargo at terminal is high compared to main ports. To this end the study recommended that reductions of chargers on cargo clearance and terminal handling of cargoes should be looked into by private off dock owners, government should ensure railway connectivity form port to off dock terminals, policies should be enacted, which will ensure efficient operations of private off dock terminal in Nigeria.

Relevantan čimbenik koji utječe na razvitak prometa, turizma i gospodarskih djelatnosti u vodnom prometu su putničke luke i pripadajući terminali. Porastom prosječne veličine broda i opsega posla u vodnom prometu dolazi i do potrebe za povećanjem pomorskih luka i izgradnje bolje infrastrukture. Od klasičnih funkcionalnih luka stvoreni su suvremeni putnički terminali koji ispunjavaju zahtjeve pomoraca i putnika i osiguravaju prostor za primanje velikih brodova. Brod za kružna putovanja jest putnički brod čija namjena nije prijevoz osoba od jedne luke do druge luke odredišta, nego je namijenjen za uživanje u putovanju i sadržajima na brodu. Postoje brojni terminali sjeverne Europe i Kanade za prihvat brodova za kružna putovanja, najvažniji se nalaze u Montrealu, Vancuover, Halifax, Rostock, Southampton i drugi. The relevant factor that affects on the development of transport, tourism and economic activity in water transport is the passenger ports. The increase in the average size of the ship and the volume of work in water traffic results in the need to increase the maritime ports and build a better infrastructure. From the classic functional ports modern passenger terminals have been made which must satisfy the needs of both sailors and passengers and provide the space to receive large ships. Foreign vessel on cruise means a passenger ship intended rather to provide passengers with a pleasure of a journey and facilities for entertainment aboard than the transport of persons from one seaport to another. There are numerous terminals of northern Europe and Canada for the reception of cruise ships, most important are in Montreal, Vancuover, Halifax, Rostock, Southampton and others.

The growth in container volumes over the last decades means an increase in container handling at terminals around the world. Notwithstanding the economic benefits, container handling causes additional pressure on the surrounding infrastructure and the environment. This is happening precisely at a time when environmental issues, in particular CO2 emissions, are the main concern of the energy and climate change debate. Although not specialized in the field of energy consumption, many policymakers and managers need to make decisions about reducing CO2 emission. This paper provides a six-step approach to make energy consumption (and hence CO2 emissions) easily transparent. The approach is illustrated using the energy consumption of yard lighting. It can be concluded that our first attempt to understand the energy consumption of yard lightning gives promising results that can contribute to an improved benchmark for the CEN EN 16258 standard.

In this paper, we describe the method that allows fluorescently tagged structures such as axons to be targeted for electron microscopy analysis without the need to convert their labels into electron dense stains, introduce any fiducial marks, or image large volumes at high resolution. We optimally preserve and stain the brain tissue for ultrastructural analysis and use natural landmarks, such as cell bodies and blood vessels, to locate neurites that had been imaged previously using confocal microscopy. The method relies on low and high magnification views taken with the light microscope, after fixation, to capture information of the tissue structure that can later be used to pinpoint the position of structures of interest in serial EM images. The examples shown here are td Tomato expressing cortico-thalamic axons in the posteromedial nucleus of the mouse thalamus, imaged in fixed tissue with confocal microscopy, and subsequently visualized with serial block-face electron microscopy (SBEM) and reconstructed into 3D models for analysis.

Раскопки скифских курганов в Северном Причерноморье показывают, что большинство захоронений в них было нарушено. Это явление не без основания связывается с различными этапами ограбления скифских гробниц. Однако при сопоставлении погребальных комплексов, расположенных на правом берегу р. Днепр, удалось сделать некоторые наблюдения по поводу нарушений «скифских» памятников, возможно связанных не только с ограблениями. Рассматривались четыре близкие по конструкции могилы в курганах: «Репяховатая Могила» (гробницы № 1 и 2), «Червона Могила» (гробница № 2) и № 407 у с. Журовка (Журавка). Эти памятники объединяются сходными по форме железными навершиями и другими категориями сопроводительного инвентаря. Нарушенными в представленных памятниках оказались лишь мужские (скифские) захоронения, тогда как женские и детские останки потревожены не были. Предварительная оценка характера нарушений позволяет предположить возможность негативного отношения местного населения Правобережной лесостепи к пришедшим в этот регион скифам. Разрушение рассмотренных памятников трудно связать с ограблениями ради наживы, так как, судя по сохранившемуся вещевому комплексу, они не были наполнены драгоценными металлами., The excavations of Scythian kurgans in the North Pontic area demonstrate that most graves were disturbed. Not without good reason, this phenomenon is linked to looting of the Scythian tombs at different stages. However, comparison of funerary assemblages located on the right bank of the Dnieper helped make some observations about disturbances of «Scythian» sites, possibly, related to processes other than lootings. The paper reports on four graves with similar construction in the following kurgans: Repyakhovataya Mogila (graves No. 1 and 2), Chervonaya Mogila (grave No. 2) and No. 407 near the village of Zhurovka (Zhuravka). These sites exhibit similarities such as iron terminals of similar shape and presence of other categories of grave goods. Only male Scythian graves were found looted while female and children graves were not disturbed. Preliminary assessment of the nature of disturbances suggests possible negative attitude of the local population inhabiting the forest-steppe on the right bank of the Dnieper towards the Scythians who arrived in this region. It is difficult to link disturbances of the sites excavated to looting for the sake of profit because, as suggested by preserved funerary offerings, the graves did not contain items made of precious stones., №252 (2018)

Opening a new supermarket is a task especially when there is no other supermarket to make a comparison with. Decision on the number of tills or point-of-sale (POS) terminals to use becomes an issue. The consequences of not getting the number of tills right could lead to wastage due to too many POS terminals acquired that are not needed, and shoppers reluctance to patronize the supermarket due to an incessant queue caused by too few POS availability. This paper objective is to model hypothetically the supermarket queue in such a way that the aforementioned problems being experienced are reduced if not removed. Formulated data were used for the model on spreadsheet. The automation of the model is left for future work.&nbsp

In the article the peculiarities of container transportations in Ukraine at the present stage of its development are investigated, the actual problems of development of container transportations, their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. The article considers the influence of the state on the development of container transportations and compares the dynamics for previous years in Ukraine. The assessment of emissions caused by logistics operations in general and their allocation to individual customers is a major challenge for logistics service providers. Presently, numerous standards and guidelines exist (e.g. ISO 14064-1, ISO 14065, DIN EN 14040) for the calculation of GHG-emissions caused by logistics processes. Due to missing or incomplete approaches, the assessments as well as regular updates are quite expensive and time-consuming. This endangers in particular the competitiveness of sme logistics service providers who need to gather and provide the relevant information for their clients. To support sme-logistics services providers by calculating and allocating GHG-emissions, a CO 2 -method kit has been developed, which was implemented in MS Excel. This method kit consists of various demonstrator-tools for each mode of transport and stationary processes in logistics systems. Even complex transport chains can be illustrated with this CO 2 -method kit as well. Overall, the method kit offers a pragmatic solution for everyday business. The underlying calculation methods determine the energy consumption, CO 2 - and CO 2 - emissions, distinguished between Tank-to-Wheel and Well-to-Wheel. Based on the resulting greenhouse gas values, logistics companies can now identify and carry out appropriate measures to reduce their CO 2 -emissions. The existing method kit is currently extended to include the determination of GHG-emissions of handling operations in multimodal container Terminals. An in-depth analysis of terminal handling operations as well as an analysis of influencing factors on resource energy consumption was needed to develop the CO 2 -method kit extension. As a first step, the layout and load data were analyzed to picture existing terminal types as well as the distribution of job orders for the observed period. In addition, crane cycle were deconstructed into sub-processes and transferred into standard processes. Following, container, weight and distance classes were defined for the assessment of the power consumption data. The power consumption data was collected by measurement devices attached directly to the cranes. In course of the evaluation the measured values were accurately assigned against the crane movements and processed orders in the period under review. Finally, average energy consumption values for crane cycles were determined for the defined container and distance classes, based on selected indicators. By data analyses, average energy consumption values can be assigned to container handling operations in terminals, taking into consideration of e.g. terminal layouts, container or weight characteristics. Furthermore, the examinations show that the influence of the covered route on the total energy consumption of a crane cycle is slightly higher than the influence of the container weight. Further results and identified dependencies (e.g. influence of the container classes or terminal layout) are shown in this paper. This paper presents results of the research project “Enhancement of the CO 2 -method kit for an exact determination of environmental effects in terminals”. The aim of the research is to enhance the CO 2 -method kit with a terminal demonstrator-tool to empower sme logistic service provider to determine GHG-emissions of handling operations in multimodal container Terminals. Therefore, power consumption measurements have been carried out and terminal input data has been analyzed.

In full-duplex (FDX) multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) systems, the self-interference between each transmitting and receiving antenna, caused by finite isolation between antennas, limits the obtainable signal-to-interference ratio of the system and thus the total capacity. In this paper, the design of planar wavetraps for isolation improvement between multiple antennas is introduced, with an emphasis on back-to-back relay structures. General guidelines for the design of planar wavetraps are deduced which could be applied also in isolation improvement of other antenna structures. A prototype back-to-back relay antenna with two dual-polarized patches for FDX MIMO is presented with the frequency of operation of 2.6 GHz. The prototype antenna is manufactured and the simulated results are validated with measurements. The minimum isolation among each antenna pair on the opposite sides of the relay is improved by 20 dB across a 18-MHz bandwidth, while 15-dB improvement can be obtained across 167-MHz bandwidth, yielding total isolation levels of 70 and 65 dB, respectively. The radiation pattern of the relay antenna is measured with and without wavetraps to show that the wavetraps do not have significant effect on the main lobe radiation properties.

This paper focuses on port supply chain integration to strengthen operational and business performance. We provide a structured and comprehensive method to enable port supply chain integration and demonstrate its applicability to the biofuel supply chain. We define the value proposition, role, activities, resources, and characteristics that a port needs to integrate in the biofuel supply chain and incorporate them in an 'integration matrix'. Port authorities can achieve integration in the biofuel supply chain by extending their role and (1) facilitating flows, (2) attracting new flows, (3) executing value-adding activities, (4) developing a bio-industry cluster, and (5) acting as a knowledge center. A roundtable and two single case studies on the Port of Rotterdam and the northern Dutch port cluster have validated the content and applicability of our findings.

The chapter looks at rail freight terminals, rail--sea interfaces, in particular, as part of a multimodal, or integrated transportation network. Terminals are key infrastructure for linking individual transport modes and governing and managing their interchange in a manner that creates a seamless and sustainable transportation system. Therefore, their performance is critical for maximising transport efficiency and modes integration. This chapter focused on how to measure the operational performance of rail freight terminals in a framework of integrated transportation network. In an increasingly competitive and commercialised world, there is an increasing demand to be able to rank transport options and routes in some way. Drawing on new material, this talk attempts to outline possible methods for how to measure the performance of rail terminals. It focuses on the identification of suitable methods to assess performance by key indicators. Intermodality demands for going beyond safeguarding the individual modes to ensuring the security of the intermodal inter-faces (terminals), the nodes that link and integrate passenger and freight flows. That demands for an integrated holistic approach built on the collaboration between international, national organisations and operators. The study put emphasis on the security challenges and threats to freight transport generally and in rail-sea interfaces more specifically. It moves onto the regulations already governing security in rail-sea interfaces. Finally, it focus on the role that infrastructure planning can play in improving security and offer some conclusions and recommendations for the future

In case of the chemical industry, or in others activities where are developed production, storage, processing and handling of reactive or unstable substances, is need more funding focused on prevention and protection of equipment, persons, and environment. Brazil has several handling terminals that can be classified as terrestrial or waterway. In these terminals, liquid subject to ignition and fire storage farms, compounded a huge contingent of equipment of storage that requires maintenance and inspection for assurance of the physical integrity of them and of their accessories, which could fail. In this work were presented techniques for social research for assessment of safety perception of workers of storage terminals, and the survey submitted by e-mail, using a 5 points Likert scale. The research is based on management practices from Operational Safety Management System of ANP (Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels National Agency) Resolution #5/2014, that is aimed at oil refineries regulation, but not aimed for flammable and combustible liquid storage terminals (despite the similarity between both ones). Statistical methods were presented for hypothesis tests, and among them, the answers had confirmed the significance by using variance analysis, ANOVA. The results of the survey applications results for these professionals perception assessment about the safety in this kind of activity and extracted comments from different perceptions, shown higher perception of safety by class of managers, followed by classes HSE, maintenance, operation and administrative, as well as shows the importance of training for operational safety improvement in this type of industry, and proposals for futures works As consequências de acidentes na indústria podem ser mais sérias do que em outros segmentos do trabalho. No caso da indústria química, ou em atividades nas quais ocorrem produção, armazenamento, processamento e movimentação de substâncias reativas ou instáveis, faz-se necessário maior investimento com foco em prevenção e proteção de equipamentos, pessoas e meio ambiente. O Brasil possui diversos terminais de movimentação, que podem ser classificados como aquaviários e terrestres. Estes terminais, assim como os parques de armazenamento de produtos líquidos sujeitos a ignição e incêndio, compõem um enorme contingente de equipamentos de armazenamento, que requerem manutenção e inspeção para garantia da integridade física dos mesmos e dos acessórios, que podem falhar. Neste trabalho foram apresentadas técnicas de pesquisa social para avaliação percepção de segurança de trabalhadores em terminais de armazenamento, e o questionário submetido por correio eletrônico, utilizando a escala Likert de 5 pontos. A pesquisa está embasada nas Práticas de Gestão do Sistema de Gestão de Segurança Operacional da Resolução ANP (Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás e Biocombustíveis) n° 5/2014, que é destinada à regulação de Refinarias de Petróleo, mas não é direcionada para a regulação de terminais de armazenamento de líquidos inflamáveis e combustíveis (apesar da semelhança entre ambas). Foram apresentados métodos estatísticos para teste de hipótese, e dentre estes, as respostas tiveram a significância confirmada por meio da análise de variância, ANOVA. Os resultados da aplicação do questionário de avaliação da percepção destes profissionais quanto à segurança neste tipo atividade e comentários extraídos das diferentes percepções, mostram maior percepção de segurança pela classe de gestores, seguida pelas classes de SMS, manutenção, operação e administrativo, assim como indica a importância de treinamentos para melhoria da segurança operacional neste tipo de indústria, e propostas para trabalhos futuros

The need for in vitro models that mimic the human brain to replace animal testing and allow high-throughput screening has driven scientists to develop new tools that reproduce tissue-like features on a chip. Three-dimensional (3D) in vitro cultures are emerging as an unmatched platform that preserves the complexity of cell-to-cell connections within a tissue, improves cell survival, and boosts neuronal differentiation. In this context, new and flexible imaging approaches are required to monitor the functional states of 3D networks. Herein, we propose an experimental model based on 3D neuronal networks in an alginate hydrogel, a tunable wide-volume imaging approach, and an efficient denoising algorithm to resolve, down to single cell resolution, the 3D activity of hundreds of neurons expressing the calcium sensor GCaMP6s. Furthermore, we implemented a 3D co-culture system mimicking the contiguous interfaces of distinct brain tissues such as the cortical-hippocampal interface. The analysis of the network activity of single and layered neuronal co-cultures revealed cell-type-specific activities and an organization of neuronal subpopulations that changed in the two culture configurations. Overall, our experimental platform represents a simple, powerful and cost-effective platform for developing and monitoring living 3D layered brain tissue on chip structures with high resolution and high throughput.

Glavne morske luke u europskim i svjetskim relacijama već su prije nekoliko desetljeća postale bitan ĉimbenik (glavna ĉvorišta) u povezivanju svih prometnih grana u transportu roba, osobito u prometovanju suvremenim tehnologijama transporta. To je izuzetno znaĉajno za transport tranzitnih, kao i roba izvozno-uvoznog karaktera. U ovome radu obraĊen je geoprometni položaj luka (Rijeka, Kopar i Trst). Analiziran je promet po glavnim vrstama tereta za razdoblje od 2011. do 2015. godine te je prikazano stanje kontejnerskog prometa. Dan je osvrt na terminale kojima raspolažu luke Rijeka, Kopar i Trst te je opisan plan za njihov daljnji razvitak. Main sea ports on European and world distances for few decades are very important factor (main hubs) in connecting all transport branches in transport of goods, mainly in circulation with modern technologies of transport. It is extremely important for transport of transitory and goods of import-export character. In this work is elaborated geotraffical position of ports (Rijeka, Koper and Trieste). Transport is analyzed by main type of loads for period from 2011 to 2015 and state of container transport is also shown. Review of terminals is given with which ports Rijeka, Koper and Trieste have at their disposal and also plan for further development is also described.

We consider an optimization problem of sequencing the operations of cranes that are used for internal movement of containers in maritime ports. Some features of this problem have been studied in the literature as the stacker crane problem (SCP). However, the scope of most literature (including SCP) is restricted to minimizing the route or distance traveled by cranes and the resulting movement-related costs. In practice, cargo containers are generally stacked or piled up in multiple separate columns, heaps or stacks at ports. So, the cranes need to often rearrange or shuffle such container stacks, in order to pick up any required container. If substantial re-stacking is involved, cranes expend considerable effort in container stack rearrangement operations. The problem of minimizing the total efforts/time of the crane must therefore account for both - the stack rearrangement costs and also the movement-related (route distance) costs. The consolidated problem differs from standard route distance minimization situations if stack rearrangement activities are considered. We formally define the consolidated problem, identify its characteristic features and hence devise suitable models for it. We formulate several alternative MIP approaches to solve the problem. The airport gate assignment problem (AGAP) is an important research area in air transportation planning and optimization. In this paper we study the airport gate assignment problem where the objectives are to minimize the number of ungated flights and the total walking distances. In order to solve the problem, we proposed a new tabu search (TS) algorithm which uses a probabilistic approach as an aspiration criterion. We compared two metaheuristics, namely, TS, and simulated annealing (SA). A greedy algorithm used as a benchmark. We compared the performances of the algorithms and analyzed at different problem sizes. Experimentations showed that the new proposed metaheuristic algorithm gave promising results. Resumo O objetivo deste ensaio é discutir, sob o prisma epistemológico e em alguns aspectos ontológicos, os nós das redes logísticas. Analisando-se a literatura técnica e a pratica relacionada a este tema nos últimos 70 anos percebe-se algumas mudanças de paradigmas na definição e na função destes nós. Nesta discussão são considerados três elementos indicativos de rupturas epistemológicas. Serão eles mudanças nos aspectos semióticos, nas relações causais e no contexto. Em termos semióticos, os pontos de término ou de início de um movimento de mercadorias e pessoas sempre foi objeto de estudo e de atenção dos acadêmicos e dos práticos da área de transportes e de logística. Diversas relações causais e modelos explicativos para entendimento e representação de operações logísticas tratam os nós das redes logísticas como componente essencial das cadeias de suprimentos e vem se alterando ao longo do tempo. Em termos de contexto duas são as grandes alterações que condicionam a logística e consequentemente os nós de suas redes. São elas: as diferentes eras econômicas e a alteração do objeto movimentado. Porto, aeroporto, terminal, centro logístico ou plataforma logística: Qual o termo mais adequado? Depende do contexto de sua utilização e do papel exercido pelos mesmos na rede logística, todos são pontos fixos das redes sócio técnica informacionais que garantem os fluxos locais e globais.. Abstract The purpose of this essay is to discuss, under the epistemological prism and some ontological aspects, the nodes of logistics networks. Technical literature and practices related to this theme in the last 70 years to show some paradigm shifts in the definition and function of these nodes. In this discussion, we consider three elements to indicate epistemological ruptures: the semiotic aspects, the causal relationships and the context. In semiotic terms, the end or begin points of a goods and people movement has always been an object of study and attention of academic and practical area of transport and logistics. Several causal relationships and explanatory models for understanding and representation of logistics operations treat the nodes of logistics networks as an essential component of supply chains and has been changing over time. In terms of context there are two major changes that affect logistics and hence nodes of their networks. They are: the different economic eras and the transformation of object moved. Port, airport, terminal, logistics center or logistics platform: What is the most appropriate term? It depends on the context of their use and the role played in logistics network, all are fixed points of networks that ensure local and global flows.

Cybersecurity in the 21st century is constantly evolving and changing in order to meet today's threats. The maritime industry in the United States is no different than any other organization that can fall under a cyber-attack. Currently, no major cyber threat has threatened the maritime community in the United States or national security. Recent attempts to disrupt the flow of the maritime industry, however, legitimize fears over maritime cyber-attacks. The United States has significant shortfalls in maritime cybersecurity. This thesis evaluates U.S. ports and strategies against those of the European Union to examine the impact of cyber issues on the United States and its national security. The maritime community is not cyber resilient and has no specific guidelines or responses in place to deter or prevent a major cyber-attack on the United States. CREAM was a European Union (EU) research project which aimed at improving rail freight between West and South East Europe. The project was set up first of all to shorten rail transport times on this axis and to cause a substantial modal shift towards rail. Thirty partners from 13 countries were involved in this project - including railway companies, the UIC, transport operators, research institutes and consulting companies. Within CREAM, the partners have developed organizational improvements, technological innovations and a competitive rail-based transport solutions on a very demanding corridor. The project has been coordinated by HaCon and KombiConsult.

The present study aims to evaluate the competitiveness of various supply systems of small-diameter wood harvested from young stands for fuel. Trees were harvested for the cost comparison either as (i) delimbed longwood or (ii) as whole trees or (iii) the harvesting was based on bundle-harvesting using the Fixteri II bundle harvester. The felling of whole trees and delimbed longwood was carried out using a conventional harvester head equipped with multi-tree-handling accessories. Forwarding was carried out using a standard medium-sized forwarder. The comparison of procurement costs was done at stand level as a function of breast height diameter (5-13 cm) and on-road transportation distance (5-160 km). The harvested wood was chipped either at a roadside landing or at a terminal using a trailer-mounted drum chipper. The comparison of the supply systems was done using recently published productivity parameters and data obtained from complementary field studies. According to the cost assessment, whole-tree harvesting and chipping at the roadside landing was almost invariably the most cost-efficient supply system. The cost of whole-tree and delimbed longwood chips was at the same level when the breast height diameter of the harvested trees was 11 cm (pine) or more. The felling of whole trees is cheaper, but the cost difference diminished as a function of tree size. The productivity of forwarding, transportation and chipping of delimbed longwood was significantly higher compared to that of whole trees. When applying roadside chipping in Finnish conditions with small and sparsely located forest holdings, acquiring large enough concentrations of wood for profitable production is a great challenge. Machine relocations can be reduced by transporting raw material to terminals or the end-use facility to be chipped. However, the low bulk density of the initial material restricts the operation radius unless the wood biomass is pre-processed. According to the results of our study, harvesting of delimbed energy wood is a promising way to simplify operations and to reduce transportation and chipping costs. In the case of whole-tree bundling, savings in transportation and chipping costs did not offset the high felling and compaction costs, and the bundling system was the least competitive alternative.

This study evaluated the test–retest reliability and the validity of self-reported duration of computer use at work. Test–retest reliability was studied among 81 employees of a research department of a university medical center. The employees filled out a web-based questionnaire twice with an in-between period of 14 days. Validity was studied among a group of 572 office workers who participated in an epidemiologic field study. A software program recorded the duration of computer use at work during the 3 months preceding the questionnaire. The percentages of agreement for test–retest reliability were 75% [95% confidence interval (95% CI) 64–84] for total computer use and 67% (95% CI 55–77) for mouse use. The percentages of agreement between self-report and registration were 18% (95% CI 15–21) for total computer use and 16% (95% CI 13–19) for mouse use. Misclassification was mainly nondifferential in nature, since all of the evaluated subgroups showed at least 75% misclassification. It is concluded that the use of self-reports lead to the misclassification of exposure to computer use for more than 80% of all persons. This misclassification is predominantly nondifferential in nature and can only partly be explained by limited test–retest reliability.

Potom se vrši betoniranje temelja i zidova terminala te asfaltiranje piste. Proveden je proračun usklađivanja rada strojeva, odnosno određena je duljina trajanja projekta., At the chosen location investor wants to build airport terminal and reconstruct the runway. First step is cleaning the field where terminal and a new runway will be built. Then goes spreding a layer of gravel and digging the foundation pit. After that goes concreting of foundations and walls of terminal and asphalting airport runway. The analysis was carried out to harmonize the work of machines, and duration of the project has been determined.

This paper presents a conceptual framework for the inclusion of multiple criteria in the evaluation of dry port location in developing countries from a multiple stakeholder perspective. We present the framework in four steps. The first step encompasses preliminary research to filter the alternative locations for dry port development. In the second step, the stakeholders are clustered in three groups: dry port users, dry port service providers and the wider community. Then, we present the sub-criteria related to dry port location including the associated measuring methods. The third step includes an explanation on the methods used for weighing these criteria and sub-criteria. A multi-criteria analysis is carried out in the final step. We apply the methodological framework to Vietnam. The location of a new dry port project in Vinh Phuc province will be evaluated against two existing inland clearance depots (ICD) in Lao Cai and Phu Tho province.

Similar coupling of a-bromonitroethylenes with terminal acetylenes (Sonogashira coupling) provides a novel route to (E)-nitroenynes. These Pd-catalyzed coupling methods offer a convenient and stereospecific entry into a diverse array of synthetically and biologically useful alpha,beta-disubstituted nitroethylenes.

With the proliferation of multi-gantry automated stacking cranes, the already difficult crane scheduling problem in container terminals has become even more challenging. In this paper we present an efficient algorithm that can solve a sub-problem that arises in this context, namely the prioritization of crane gantry movements once transportation tasks have been assigned. We tackle this problem for both, twin crane setting and crossover crane setting, and develop graphical models and strongly polynomial algorithms accordingly. A series of experiments is carried out where it is shown that the method can produce optimum solutions with exceptionally small run times.

New developments in a post-Fordist economic environment have changed the source of port competitiveness from economies of scale based on basic production factors (capital, land, labour) to economies of scope based on advanced production (service) factors. The institutional setting in which ports are now embedded requires methods of analysis that go beyond those traditionally applied in transport geography, but port geography research has not embraced critical, radical or relational geographies. Thus, questions relating to the new conceptions of space and networks created through the corporatisation of the industry remain unanswered. This paper examines prevailing conceptualisations of space in port geography and elaborates the case for a smooth space conceptualisation. In doing so, it draws on two theoretical traditions of the spatial impacts of capital accumulation, beginning with Marx and Harvey to demonstrate how ports represent an exemplar of the inherently unstable “spatial fix” of mobile capital, then turning to the concept of “smooth space” introduced by Deleuze and Guattari. Using these concepts, the paper reflects on the production of capitalist smooth space in the global port operations sector, in which a handful of multinational corporations manage portfolios of major ports across the globe. The result is an inherent contradiction between a port’s embeddedness in its local setting and regional hinterland and the expanding global corporatocracy driving its operational strategy. This paper argues, therefore, that port devolution and development cannot be understood in the absence of a critique of their capitalist context.

Naročniki so postali zahtevnejši, želijo, da bi bilo blago dostavljeno v čim krajšem času, na točno določenem kraju in z najmanjšimi stroški. Zato morajo ladjarji uporabljati čedalje večje ladje. Vse to sili luke, da poglabljajo morje, izboljšujejo infrastrukturo in posodabljajo opremo. Including the fast development of technology and means of information, social and political development, the production and consumption of products, as well as the consumers. The transport subscribers have become more demanding, as they want their products delivered as soon as possible, at the exact location with the lowest possible expenses. Therefore, ship owners have to use increasingly bigger cargo ships. Consequently, ports are forced to take action in the form of deepening, improving their infrastructures and modernizing their equipment. The popularity of maritime transport is growing and especially that of freight transport, as the waterways have proven as the most efficient. Harbors are highly competitive, since each harbor wishes to offer its providers and consumers the best service possible. They all want higher profit or better performance, which is greatly connected with bigger ships with deeper draughts coming to port. More transshipment and bigger ships per average would have a positive impact on the performance of a company.

International audience; Multiple Input-Multiple Output (MIMO) is a technology of growing importance in present and upcoming wireless network standards (WIFI, 4G, 5G), as it is anticipated to provide large performance gains, mainly in terms of link/network capacity and link robustness (through diversity). However there is no free lunch and implementing MIMO is neither simple nor always beneficial. Among the several problems encountered is the fact that the operating conditions of MIMO terminals are, often, far from ideal and subject to a set of impairments. In particular, the antenna signals are not uncorrelated and not identically distributed, as often considered in historical and simplistic MIMO system models. What's worse is that these impairments are not uniquely defined for a given terminal but they critically depend on the electromagnetic environmental conditions, both regarding the immediate vicinity of the device (user body, supporting hardware...) and the farther distant local propagation context (indoor, outdoor... environment). In other words, many sources of joint antenna-channel impairments do affect the MIMO terminal performance, which should be identified and modeled for an educated understanding and an accurate performance evaluation and optimization of wireless networks.Among the classical (non physical) channel models used to evaluate MIMO system performance, the Kronecker approximation is both very simple to use and reasonably accurate, as long as the number of antennas is small. It is based on a separation of the correlation between the entries of the channel matrix, into transmit and receive side correlations, which allows characterizing the terminal independently from the base station/access point. In a Rayleigh channel, modeling the MIMO system is then extremely easy. Unfortunately, we have shown in a previous work (A. Sibille and A.J. Braga, IEEE APS URSI, Toronto, 2010), that this does not apply to the case of terminals subject to varying environmental conditions, due to the lack of Gaussianity of the channel coefficients.In the present work we investigate the various factors impacting MIMO performance, in relation to environmental variability. We particularly involve non identical antenna behavior (power gain, radiation patterns) and the correlation between antenna signals resulting from a moderate multipath angular spread. According to the magnitude of these impairments and their degree of variability, common performance criteria such as ergodic capacity and diversity gain are evaluated and compared to simplified models. Some consequences are discussed, in relation to relevant use cases for 4G and 5G and in the context of MIMO terminals performance evaluation and MIMO terminals model standardization.

Interaction between human, location and activity defines space. In the framework of these relations, space is a container for current specifications in relations of the 3 mentioned elements. The change of land utility considered with average performance range, urban regulations, society requirements etc. will provide welfare and comfort for citizens. From an engineering view it is fundamental that choosing a proper location for a specific civil activity requires evaluation of locations from different perspectives. The debate of desirable establishment of municipal service elements in urban regions is one of the most important issues related to urban planning. In this paper, the research type is applicable based on goal, and is descriptive and analytical based on nature. Initially existing terminals in Esfahan are surveyed and then new locations are presented based on evaluated criteria. In order to evaluate terminals based on the considered factors, an AHP model is used at first to estimate weight of different factors and then existing and suggested locations are evaluated using Arc GIS software and AHP model results. The results show that existing bus terminals are located in fairly proper locations. Deafferentation affects short-term but not long-term control of food intake (PHYSIOL BEHAV XX(X) 000-000, 2005). Rats were treated neonatally with capsaicin (CAP) to investigate the involvement of vagal afferents in food intake control and body weight regulation. In the first set of experiments, rats were offered increasing concentrations of sucrose (10-15-20-40%) in short-term feeding tests of 1 h. At the end, 10% was offered again to see whether CAP rats modified their intake after repeated exposure to different concentrations of sucrose solution. Results demonstrated that CAP animals overconsume persistently compared to vehicle (VEH) controls. This overconsumption is most pronounced and variable at 10% trials. Hypertonic 40% sucrose solution resulted in a small but significant drop in intake in CAP rats. Overall, if the concentration of sucrose solution is more than 10%, sucrose ingestion of CAP and VEH rats does not depend on the concentration of sucrose solution and remains relatively constant during all trials. In another experiment, rats were exposed to a high-fat condensed milk suspension (CMS) for 5 days. CAP rats initially overconsumed from this CMS compared to VEH. This was accompanied by a decreased intake in chow. However, over the 5 day period CAP animals adjusted their CMS and chow intake to control levels. During both experiments there were no differences in body weight gain between CAP and VEH. Together, these results suggest that capsaicin-sensitive vagal C-fibers are involved in the control of volume ingestion and short-term food intake control but are not required for long-term control of energy intake.
