Technology has changed the way we work. These have increased the productivity in the workplace. The purpose of having a conference paper app is to aid researcher to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of management of conference paper. Without a proper management of these substances, people might suffer from the inconvenience by using a desktop system to complete certain tasks and monitor them efficiently. However, based on investigating the existing applications, a few shortcomings have been identified. Certain shortcoming leads us to develop a new mobile application to fix the identified shortcomings. Some others include complex navigation of user interfaces, this cause a poor user experience for users. Hence, this project proposes a development of a mobile application that is called CPMA, which serve as a better alternative tool to allow users managing and monitoring information related to conference paper in a more efficient way. This app specifically developed for researchers in higher learning institutions who are needed to proceed with conference paper. Software development methodology named prototyping will be adopted, which consisted of phases such as planning, repeated phases (analysis, design, implementation and system prototype), implementation and final system. The essential significance of this project is to provide a platform for researcher to manage and monitor conference paper in a savvy manner. By the time of completing this project, users are expected to access this application without any costs and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of managing conference paper. ntelligent decision system (IDS) is a window-based software package that has been developed on the basis of the evidential reasoning (ER) approach, a recent development in handling hybrid multiple criteria decision analysis (MCDA) problems with uncertainties. In this paper, the evidential reasoning approach will be briefly described first, and its major differences from and the relationships with conventional MCDA methods will also be discussed. Then the main features, advantages and benefits of IDS will be demonstrated and explained using two application examples: supplier pre-qualification assessment and customer satisfaction survey analysis, which have been investigated as part of the research projects led by the authors and funded by the UK government and the EC. It is concluded in the paper that the ER approach can be used not only to deal with problems that traditional methods can solve, but also to model and analyse more complicated decision problems that traditional methods are incapable of handling. This paper aims at developing a new BPMN extension, called "BPMN4SBP", supporting the multi-dimensional modeling of Sensitive Business Processes (SBPs) (i.e., the knowledge, functional, organizational, behavioral, informational and intentional dimensions). It aims to explicitly integrate all the relevant issues and aspects relevant at the coupling of the business process modeling (BPM) domain and the knowledge management (KM) domain for improving the identification and management of crucial knowledge which are mobilized and created by these processes. This paper provides the analysis of requirements and relevant concepts for modeling SBP. Based on a core domain ontology, need for extension is identified and the valid BPMN4SBP extension is designed (according to the BPMN extension mechanism) by the construction of a conceptional domain model and the corresponding BPMN extension model. This extended BPMN4SBP meta-model is derived by applying model transformation rules and by adapting, also, the UML profile mechanism to BPMN. Multi-objective reinforcement learning (MORL) extends traditional RL by seeking policies making different compromises among conflicting objectives. The recent surge of interest in MORL has led to diverse studies and solving methods, often drawing from existing knowledge in multi-objective optimization based on decomposition (MOO/D). Yet, a clear categorization based on both RL and MOO/D is lacking in the existing literature. Consequently, MORL researchers face difficulties when trying to classify contributions within a broader context due to the absence of a standardized taxonomy. To tackle such an issue, this paper introduces multi-objective reinforcement learning based on decomposition (MORL/D), a novel methodology bridging the literature of RL and MOO. A comprehensive taxonomy for MORL/D is presented, providing a structured foundation for categorizing existing and potential MORL works. The introduced taxonomy is then used to scrutinize MORL research, enhancing clarity and conciseness through well-defined categorization. Moreover, a flexible framework derived from the taxonomy is introduced. This framework accommodates diverse instantiations using tools from both RL and MOO/D. Its versatility is demonstrated by implementing it in different configurations and assessing it on contrasting benchmark problems. Results indicate MORL/D instantiations achieve comparable performance to current state-of-the-art approaches on the studied problems. By presenting the taxonomy and framework, this paper offers a comprehensive perspective and a unified vocabulary for MORL. Purpose: This paper discusses the effects of enabling conditions of project knowledge management in building volatile organizational memory. The theoretical rationale underlies a recursive relationship among enabling conditions of project knowledge management, organizational learning and memory. Design/methodology/approach: This research employs a qualitative descriptive single case study approach to examine a mobile application development project undertaken by a major software company in Brazil. The analysis focuses on the project execution using an abductive analytical framework. The study data were collected through in-depth interviews and company documents. Findings: Based on the research findings, the factors that facilitate behavior and strategy in managing project knowledge pose a challenge when it comes to fostering organizational learning. While both these factors play a role in organizational learning, the exchange of information from previous experience could be strengthened, and the feedback from the learning process could be improved. These shortcomings arise from emotional tensions that stem from power struggles within knowledge hierarchies. Practical implications: Based on the research, it is recommended that project-structured organizations should prioritize an individual's professional experience to promote organizational learning. Organizations with well-defined connections between their projects and strategies can better establish interconnections among knowledge creation, sharing and coding. Originality/value: The primary contribution is to provide a comprehensive view that incorporates the conditions required to manage project knowledge, organizational learning and memory. Collaborative management of knowledge resources is a particularly important issue in the context of collaborative development of vocational education since it can increase utilization of knowledge resources, narrow knowledge gap, promote educational equity, and support the innovation and collaboration of vocational education. However, currently available studies and methods are quite deficient in the aspect of knowledge attribute regulation, such as the difficulty in meeting requirements for different-type knowledge resources, the ignorance of the dynamic feature of knowledge resources, and the insufficient consideration of knowledge attributes. To solve these matters, this study aims to discuss the importance of collaborative management of knowledge resources in a backdrop of the collaborative development of vocational education, with special attention on the key role of knowledge attribute regulation in collaborative management of knowledge resources. In the paper, a collaborative knowledge resource management evolution model was built to reveal the dynamic evolution process of the collaborative management of knowledge resources, so as to provide theoretical evidences for the decision-making of knowledge attribute regulation. On this basis, the paper further proposed a decision-making method of knowledge attribute regulation for the collaborative management of knowledge resources, in the hopes of realizing efficient collaborative management of knowledge resources and promoting the collaborative development of vocational education. The agile approach to software development has significantly impacted the industry, given its ability to cope with requirements. Despite this, many aspects of the agile paradigm's compatibility with various software project characteristics have not been thoroughly researched. To address this lacuna, the study presents a systematic literature review (SLR) that aims to assess the compatibility of the agile methodology with each of the knowledge areas included in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). By employing Machine Learning (ML) text-mining and sentiment analysis techniques, the paper explores the sentiment regarding each PMBOK knowledge area (PM-KA). It thus provides valuable insights to assist practitioners and researchers in assessing the compatibility of the agile methodology with each PM-KA and identifying potential gaps or significant challenges within the agile paradigm. Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a well-established approach and benchmark for design for sustainability efforts, in which detailed reports are produced that can serve as decision-making guides for developing new products. However, LCA reports are typically dense and technically complex, making it difficult for many engineering design project stakeholders to appropriately leverage the information found within them. Our work seeks to understand and improve the transfer of knowledge from LCA reports during the early stages of the design process, specifically leveraging the natural language capabilities of large language models (LLMs). In this paper, we investigate how four LCA-and sustainability-centric prompting frameworks can extract relevant design knowledge from LCA reports, demonstrated through a case study where an LLM (ChatGPT) is prompted on a provided electric toothbrush LCA report. Key findings illustrate the prompting frameworks can establish high-level summaries and identify life-cycle specific information, but the development of specific and design-focused sub-prompts will allow for richer understanding. We envision designers can use these proposed frameworks to query an LLM to gain context and insights from relevant LCA reports. The proposed techniques serve as a basis for automatic knowledge extraction from life cycle documents, creating accessible information in a user-friendly manner for designers who look to develop life-cycle-informed products. Although there have been many publications on the subject of CKM, particularly in recent years, not much research has been conducted on the performance analysis and science maps of these studies. To overcome this constraint, a bibliometric study of the current body of academic literature on CKM is conducted the study’s methodology involved conducting a bibliometric examination of publications indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus from 1992 to 2022. The search strategy employed for this review was guided by the PRISMA standards, resulting in 255 papers being located during the search procedure. To visualize and quantitatively analyze bibliometric networks the VOS viewer tool and the bibliometric R-package were utilized. The descriptive statistics reveal a significant increase in CKM studies since 2011, with the majority of publications occurring in 2021, 2019, and 2013, respectively. China, Iran, and the United States are the countries with the highest number of publications, respectively. The “JOURNAL OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT” is a core journal in this field, and “Hussin A” is the most prolific author in this scientific domain. The results of the thematic analysis indicate that “co-creation” has gained popularity in recent years, and over the past seven years, “knowledge sharing” and “customer knowledge development” have replaced “market orientation” and “customer relations”, respectively. Additionally, the co-word analysis of the author’s keywords identified six clusters, including “Knowledge Management and Market Orientation,” “Knowledge Sharing and Co-Creation,” “CKM and Customer Engagement,” “CKM, Tools and Technique,” “Knowledge Management and CRM,” and “CRM.”By identifying and deriving key CKM themes, this study makes a significant contribution to the CKM literature. Researchers can utilize the scientific analysis of a variety of sectors, such as customer knowledge management, to understand the scientific boundaries and gain a general understanding of the scientific method. In order to improve their performance, modern organizations are increasingly aware of the need to identify, preserve and manage the crucial knowledge (individual and collective) that are mobilized by their sensitive business processes (SBPs). Thus, it will be necessary to characterize, identify, specify, model and analyze these processes, in order to optimize the activities of identification, localization and management of the knowledge on which it is necessary to capitalize. This paper introduces the problematic of the SBP modeling. Our objective is to provide a conceptual analysis related to the concept of SBP. Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) supporting Business Processes (BPs), particularly Sensitive Business Processes (SBPs), should be characterized by integrity, flexibility, and interoperability. However, the urbanization approach, which we rely on to implement these systems, must address the "three fit" problems that hinder the realization of these desired features at both the business and technical infrastructures: "vertical fit" problems – concerning the business infrastructure; "horizontal fit" problems and "transversal fit" problems – concerning the technical infrastructure. We argue that for overcoming those problems, it is necessary to define an explicit framework for specifying BPs/SBPs. We present in this paper our conceptual specification for the BPs/SBPs modeling domain in the form of a core domain ontology, in order to overcome "horizontal fit" and "transversal fit" problems. Specifically, we introduce (i) our reference ontological framework and (ii) provide an overview of the Core Ontology of Sensitive Business Processes (COSBP). This paper explores how the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into research methodologies is changing the research paradigm by improving data analysis, efficiency and innovation in a variety of fields. All the emerging and disruptive technologies based on AI and BIG DATA will thus allow researchers to model, train, calibrate and ultimately simulate very complex research scenarios by accelerating and simplifying current quantitative testing methods, allowing to work with sample sizes close to those of the analyzed population. Emerging and innovative research methodologies based on the application of AI tools are thus presented, which actually revolutionize traditional ways of research by adopting artificial intelligence algorithms on each hypothesis and creating specific working models for each tested hypothesis, obtaining valuable insights regardless of the validation or not of a hypothesis by classical quantitative analysis. In the particular situation presented, it will be explained how the Elaboration Likelihood Model will be applied to the marketing of social networks, with an emphasis on the cognitive process and the expression of attitude within them, depending on the characteristics of the message and the involvement of users. This proposed research will also consider the ELM framework and increase its dimension, providing a more contemporary perspective on persuasion and cognitive engagement by introducing AI and big data as part of the dimension of ELM methodologies, thus illustrating a paradigm shift in research and representing a model approach to moving from methodologies based on traditional qualitative and quantitative methods to emerging ones based on AI and BIG DATA. With the rapid development of information technology, knowledge management has become an important means for enterprises, organizations, and individuals to gain advantages in competition. The design and implementation of Knowledge management is one of the key links of knowledge management. This paper discussed the design of Knowledge management based on Support Vector Machine (SVM), in order to improve the efficiency and quality of knowledge management. This paper introduced the application of SVM in Knowledge management, and discussed how to design an excellent Knowledge management. The research results showed that the response time of the Knowledge management designed in this paper was 87 seconds when the number of users was 300. When the number of users exceeded 300, although the response time was longer, its growth rate slowed down. SVM can be used in knowledge classification, entity recognition and relationship extraction, and can greatly improve the efficiency of Information extraction and knowledge management. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of innovation on the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam. Design/methodology/approach: The paper uses data from the surveys on SMEs in Vietnam conducted by the Development Economics Research Group at the University of Copenhagen, the United Nations University's World Institute for Development Economics Research, Central Institute for Economic Management and Institute of Labor Science and Social Affairs, and applies least squared regressions and 2SLS regressions to examine the effect of innovation on the performance of SMEs. Findings: The authors find that SMEs with innovation tend to perform better than SMEs without innovation. The authors further show that the positive effect of innovation on firm performance mainly comes from the effect of improvement of existing products, an important type of innovation in SMEs. This result is persistent when the authors use propensity matching score and 2SLS regression with instrumental variable approaches. Overall, the results show the important role of innovation in enhancing the firm performance of SMEs, which sheds light on the literature on the controversial relation between innovation and SMEs performance in the world. Research limitations/implications: The major limitation of the paper is the lack of data. Although the database used in the paper is widely used to analyze SMEs in Vietnam, it covers about 2,500 firms in only nine provinces/cities in Vietnam. Practical implications: Policymakers should enact relevant policies to support SMEs with innovation activities, thereby increasing firm performance and their competitiveness. For instance, encouragement policies or financial incentives (tax reduction or subsidies) for innovative firms should be implemented and/or fostered. A Knowledge network can well describe the knowledge development progress during teaching process and the relations of teaching resources. Managing the virtual simulation teaching resources based on knowledge network technology and arranging the scattered resources around each teaching point are very important for teachers to form a complete teaching system. However, there are many problems pending for solutions in research fields such as the construction of Chinese knowledge network and the text management based on knowledge network technology. For this reason, this paper aims to study the management and sharing of building construction virtual simulation teaching resources based on knowledge network analysis. At first, this paper elaborated on the construction process of the knowledge network of teaching resources, and introduced in detail a few steps during the construction process, including the entity/attribute extraction, coreference resolution, and relation extraction, etc. Then, this paper proposed an improved spectral clustering algorithm for the management and sharing of the said teaching resources, and realized the resource management and sharing works on a platform. Digital data management and enterprise systems have become key to support the digitalisation of maintenance activities. With traditional maintenance activities still striving for efficiencies, platforms such as the natural language processing (NLP) are supporting industries to mine textural data, not just extracting degradation terminologies but providing the maintainer with holistic insights on the degradation process. Traditionally, the degradation analysis, the first step in maintenance, is a manual process for defect characterisation, followed by failure investigation and a remaining useful life estimation. To enable digitalisation, transfer of human cognitive decision making from the physical world to the digital world is key. This paper enables this cognitive knowledge transfer through the design of a common degradation taxonomy and extracting terminology relationships to produce degradation causality with an NLP knowledge extraction approach. Further, this paper proposes and demonstrates a framework to present the data in the form of a knowledge graph populated using an application-level ontology. This paper addresses a discourse particle that typically appears in conceptually oral / colloquial interaction and instantiates one of many different functions of the lexical element so (lit. ‘so, this way’) in Present-Day German. In contrast to the modal adverb so and just as some of its other polysemous counterparts, this element appears to be utterly desemanticized and non-referential, thereby modifying the meaning of the sentence at a very abstract level. On the basis of its distributional properties, its semantic contribution to the host utterance, as well as of independent assumptions on the notion of modality, it is contended that this so is to be categorized as an interrogative modal particle whose primary role lies in managing the Common Ground in non-monologic contexts such that the speaker requires the addressee to fill a gap in their knowledge of a given situation with the additional implication that the relevant piece of information does not have to be exhaustive. The aim of this paper is not to provide a comprehensive analysis of the phenomenon, but rather to make a theoretical proposal regarding the status of this element and thereby stimulate the discussion on the defining features of modal particles. The increasing diversity of variants and the high product complexity pose ever-greater challenges for manufacturing companies, especially in assembly. Therefore, assembly assistance systems are increasingly used to manage complexity in terms of guiding workers through assembly processes. Previous research work in this context has mainly focused on the assessment and improvement of typical assistance functions as well as their implementation. The integration of active knowledge management on both shopfloor and planning level illustrates a high potential for the extension and development of new assistance functions. However, the possibility of using informational assistance systems to implement active knowledge management in industrial assembly has not been sufficiently studied yet. Therefore, this paper firstly defines the main challenges of the integration, which are summarized in a negative cycle of knowledge management in assembly, and secondly describes the key requirements for knowledge management in conjunction with assembly assistance systems. This scientific paper aims to explore the identification and quantification of the knowledge level within a team working on a software engineering project. The knowledge level of a team plays a crucial role in the success and efficiency of project outcomes. To achieve this objective, a comprehensive review of existing literature on knowledge management, team dynamics, and software engineering practices was conducted. This article reveals insights into the knowledge dynamics within software engineering teams. The research methodology consists of different quantitative and qualitative methods for data collection and analysis. The identified knowledge gaps and strengths can inform strategies for improving team performance, such as targeted training programs or knowledge sharing initiatives. Furthermore, the quantification of knowledge levels can serve as a benchmark for future projects, allowing for better resource allocation and team composition. Overall, this research is bringing benefits to the field of software engineering by providing a systematic approach to identify and quantify the knowledge level of teams, enabling organizations to optimize their team structures and enhance project outcomes. Knowledge flow is an explicit behavior of college students during their Collaborative Innovative Learning (CIL). Existing studies on the management mechanism of knowledge flow on CIL platforms generally lack a systematic theoretical analysis on the action mechanism of the influencing factors, few scholars have viewed the problems of the management mechanism of knowledge flow, the action mechanisms of the influencing factors of knowledge flow, the efficiency of knowledge flow, and the relationship among them from the perspective of the platform, and few studies have discussed the impact of the management mechanism of CIL platforms on the knowledge flow from a dynamic angle. To fill in these research blanks, this paper aims to analyze the multi-factor action mechanism of knowledge flow on CIL platforms for college students. At first, this paper elaborated on the formation mechanism of the CIL network, and measured model variables of the proposed network; then, it analyzed the robustness of the functions of the proposed network based on knowledge flow; at last, this paper gave the multi-factor variable analysis results of the model. Demographic change and the digital transformation are megatrends of our time. This paper presents a concept of how to use elements of the digital transformation to transfer knowledge in order to cope with the demographic transitions especially in manufacturing SME. The concept combines visual and tactile sensors in order to determine hand movements. In order to recognize hand movement this paper will review different approaches of how to describe hand movement in manufacturing environments. A decade since the seminal paper on knowledge hiding in organizations (Connelly et al., 2012) emerged, this research area has witnessed rapid evolution, resulting in a fragmentation of the field and conceptual proliferation. Given the increasing interest in knowledge hiding, this study complements a set of recently published (systematic) literature reviews and proposes an organizing framework (nomological network) for antecedents and consequences of knowledge hiding, and tests it using meta-analytic procedures. Based on an effect analysis drawn from 131 studies and 147 samples, comprising 47,348 participants, the relationships between knowledge hiding and different antecedent and consequence categories are examined. The results generally support expected relationships across the vast majority of categories of knowledge-hiding antecedents, including job characteristics, leadership, attitudes and motivations, working context, personality, and individual differences. Knowledge hiding is related to outcomes, including creativity, task performance, incivility, deviance, and deterioration of workplace behavior. We also provide comprehensive empirical evidence to support the conceptual claim that knowledge hiding is not correlated with knowledge sharing. This study used an observational approach to assess the importance of quality assurance in IT projects and its impact on knowledge management. The paper discusses challenges related to barriers and opportunities in knowledge management of military R&D projects conducting at project-based organizations. Analysis of the case study highlights that efficient knowledge management system consists of formal and informal elements. The first one is related to: internal organization regulations, defined processes, applied project management methodologies, good practices, supporting software, data bases and other ICT tolls. The mentioned solutions are well developed in the case study and create numerous opportunities in knowledge management. Knowledge management is the inevitable product of the information age, and knowledge transformation is the result of the interaction between network learners and learning resources. The four aspects of the SECI (Socialization, Externalization, Combination, Internalization) model can help students accelerate their learning of entrepreneurial tacit knowledge in elearning to realize the construction of entrepreneurial knowledge with entrepreneurial orientation as the core. Based on the SECI model, this paper proposes four hypotheses on the effects of tacit knowledge learning on students' entrepreneurial orientation in e-learning. It takes e-learning familiarity as the regulating variable and analyzes the regulating effect of tacit knowledge learning on students' entrepreneurial orientation and whether their grade, discipline, and gender will lead to significant differences in entrepreneurial orientation. The results indicate that the questionnaire designed in this paper has generally effective α. The coefficient is 0.865 and the reliability level is good. The minimum value of the AVE (Average variance extraction) was 0.545 and the minimum value of CR (Combinatorial reliability) was 0.819, indicating that the overall validity and structural validity were high. The three aspects of sociality, dominance, and recessiveness cause the learning of tacit knowledge to have an obvious positive effect on students' entrepreneurship. The results of this study have important reference value for promoting teachers' entrepreneurial knowledge sharing and innovation and cultivating students' entrepreneurial orientation. A "researcher life cycle" approach was applied to identify researcher information needs. Librarians continue to play a central role in conducting successful research and are expanding beyond their traditional duties for delivering high quality information services to engage themselves more as educators, technological guides, and communicators. Librarians should pace more and more into a leadership role develop major initiatives and conduct training to increase research reproducibility. The present paper focuses on the basic technical issues of efficient research skills and highlights the librarians' competencies for research support of Bangladesh for guiding researchers for conducting successful research and ensuring a better work environment to do research. This paper mainly explores the proper referencing and citations, submission of manuscript in impact journals, find out predatory journals and selection for publishing articles in open access journals. This study also highlights the use and impact of various online databases such as Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus in order to explore citation status, h index and research performance of an individual author, country and institution. The study also investigates the role of the library in addressing present and future challenges to bridge technical issues of conducting research in Bangladesh. This research aims to contribute to the development of knowledge in project management, by searching for management approaches that can be useful in construction projects. A bibliometric approach based on quantitative analysis methods was applied to investigate the synergy between Traditional, Agile, and Lean management approaches. This study also evaluates the status of the three different approaches using a visualization analysis of journal articles. The bibliometric study was developed with a portfolio of 200 papers around "synergy between Traditional, Agile and Lean approaches" collected at the Web of Science database, covering the evolution of this topic over the last ten years (from 2011 to 2020). The retrieved records were analyzed in terms of year of publication, country, subject, and keywords. The analysis of the original articles revealed that the total number of publications has continuously increased over the last few years. The country producing more papers on this theme was the United States followed by England and Germany. Few studies in the literature have discussed this theme in the construction industry, which means that the concept of combining Traditional, Agile, and Lean approaches is a new concept in construction projects. The paper discussed in this article particularly addressed the potentials to achieve demographic dividend (DD) of Bangladesh, importance of knowledge management, and implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It also discussed the challenges in a general observation, not in-depth economic analysis, although some general statistics were cited. United Nations (UN) formulation SDGs, 2016-30 agenda was addressed to promote socio-economic development and environmental sustainability. Bangladesh has experience in achieving most of the targets of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs: 1990-2015), formulated by the UN for the same interest. Recent advancements in Natural Language Processing have opened up new possibilities for the development of large language models like ChatGPT, which can facilitate knowledge management in the design process by providing designers with access to a vast array of relevant information. However, integrating ChatGPT into the design process also presents new challenges. In this paper, we provide a concise review of the classification and representation of design knowledge, and past efforts to support designers in acquiring knowledge. We analyze the opportunities and challenges that ChatGPT presents for knowledge management in design and propose promising future research directions. A case study is conducted to validate the advantages and drawbacks of ChatGPT, showing that designers can acquire targeted knowledge from various domains, but the quality of the acquired knowledge is highly dependent on the prompt. The article is devoted to the development of the method for synthesizing hierarchical knowledge graphs of telecommunication networks using network statistical data and available models or their fragments. Existing graphs or their fragments, monitoring data, descriptions of data structures, reverse engineering artifacts, etc. can be used as initial data. The paper presents analysis of relevance of the problem for telecommunication network operators and considers the advantages of the proposed method of inductive synthesis for building integrated network models. The method allows restore hierarchical graph models from source data, including the elements of the models and the relations between them. Based on extracted elements and relations hierarchical knowledge graphs are build. The mathematical models and algorithms that describe the considered method for synthesizing hierarchical knowledge graphs and quality indicators of the resulting model are presented in the paper. To confirm the method, the program was developed. This program uses a sample of initial data as a source, restores an integral fragment of a hierarchical knowledge graph of a telecommunication network. Introduction. People face often situations when the available information is fragmentary and epistemically and ontologically different stemming from multiple incongruous systems of knowledge. While this is obvious on the basis of the vast corpus of information behaviour research to date, relatively little attention has been conducted so far to explicate the mechanisms of how people routinely manage to use such unsatisfactory sources in their pursuits. Method. The conceptual paper describes two theoretical concepts identified in the literature. Results. The paper discusses the applicability of the notions of representational exchange and edgework to explain the mechanisms of how people parse together heterogeneous and fragmentary information together in a meaningful whole. Conclusion. The theory of representational exchange explains how people are capable of translating epistemically and ontologically incongruous types of information to work in concert. Edgework describes a type of information work necessary to parse together different forms of previous knowledge and new information with the help of (meta) information and knowledge on the two and their processes of becoming. Purpose: Regarding the premises of open innovation (OI) in terms of knowledge sources, this paper aims to discuss how to manage the existing sources of knowledge in supply chains. Design/methodology/approach: An integrative review was developed focusing on studies related to supply chain and OI, seeking to understand the relationships between them, supporting the innovative discussion. Findings: The SIPOC-OI was proposed as a tool to support the management of knowledge sources present in the supply chain, promoting efficiency to the company and improving its innovative capacity. Research limitations/implications: The conceptual proposal should be empirically verified to understand the management tool's obstacles and benefits for a company's innovation performance. Additionally, it would be useful to understand the results of this proposal in the relationships between agents of the chain, as well as the direction (inbound, outbound or coupled). Additionally, relevant points were highlighted as future agendas. Practical implications: The point of view based on OI treats the collaboration's aspects and its benefits to agents, which becomes an essential factor in improving the entire chain's integration and performance. Originality/value: The analysis of the flow of knowledge in supply chains from an OI perspective is an innovation in theory. Besides, the multidisciplinary proposal is expressed in the framework developed as it is based on a tool from engineering. Supply chain competencies/mindset is important to develop OI as well as is the contrary – there is a mutual practical and theoretical relevance between the integration of the concepts. This paper argues that building landscape architecture's procedural knowledge -- defined as a collectively shared and critically examined understanding of the diverse ways landscape architects practice -- is of critical importance to the profession and discipline, especially if the field desires to become more relevant and valuable to society as a whole. Knowing-how to plan, design and manage landscapes is the core knowledge-base of the field. Landscape architects' abilities to view complex situations holistically, engage in ethical deliberations, envision new possibilities and weigh alternatives from multiple perspectives are together the key to their expertise. Growing this expertise will help designers create designs that respond to the complex problems of today's society. More procedural knowledge is needed within the field so that: (1) landscape architects can learn from each other; (2) beginning landscape designers have clear models upon which to build expert knowledge; and (3) educators do not have to rely solely on their personal experiences when teaching design. Because good design practice responds holistically within particular circumstances, it can be challenging to develop transferable knowledge about design and planning practices, but models are available from practice research that suggest how it could be done. In the European Union, the silver economy is focused on developing strategies to facilitate the elderly population, mainly in terms of creating services based on innovations and technology. The paper encompasses a detailed overview of the silver economy in Estonia and the introduction of ICT solutions for the elderly population through knowledge management techniques. A knowledge map has been created using the Ontology model in Protégé to demonstrate the key knowledge resources for ICT integration in the silver economy. The results and information displayed in the knowledge map have been gathered from two detailed workshops which were further validated through questionnaires and interviews from the professionals in the field. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the different knowledge resources and competencies relevant to the integration of ICT in the silver economy which will serve as a basis for the development of a knowledge management model in the future. Prototyping is an indispensable activity in product development that facilitates the generation of knowledge in the design process. It is crucial that this knowledge is the right knowledge (e.g., type, fidelity, and accessibility) to ensure stakeholders can evaluate and decision-make effectively. While this is well-recognised, prior work has focused on classifying prototyping/prototypes by their attributes rather than the knowledge they generate. As prototyping methods have a significant impact on the knowledge generated, both in the activity and resulting prototype, a means by which methods can be classified against knowledge generated would enable support of prototyping method selection, equivalence, and substitution. To this end, this paper presents the existing concept of fungibility – a context-specific value judgement as to whether two 'objects' are the same, and therefore capable of mutual substitution – and considers it in the context of prototyping and knowledge generation. In so doing, the paper provides a framework by which prototyping processes may be compared against their knowledge contributions to determine if they are fungible. This is then shown to support prototyping method comparison, selection and direction. After defining the fungibility framework, value is demonstrated via an illustrative example where it has been applied to the comparison of two prototyping instances.
