The generalized Hirota-Satsuma coupled KdV system with fractional-order derivative plays a significant role to simulate the interaction of nearby identical-weight particles in a crystal lattice structure, two long waves interaction with different dispersion relationships, the description of shallow-water wave propagation, ion-acoustic waves, plasma physics and some other fields. In this study, diverse analytical wave solutions in general and standard structures are established of the stated equation by introducing two viable techniques, namely, the generalized Kudryashov scheme and the two variables G ' / G , 1 / G -expansion approach. The solutions are established in terms of elementary functions, specifically trigonometric functions, rational functions, exponential functions, and hyperbolic functions. For definite values of free parameters, the obtained analytical wave solutions transform into solitary wave solutions. The graphical patterns of the wave solutions with there-, two-, and contour plots are depicted magnificently to elucidate the internal structure of the phenomenon. The methods contribute as powerful mathematical tools and appear to be further effective, computerized, and user-friendly to investigate nonlinear fractional equations as well as comprehensive analytical solutions of nonlinear evolution equations in engineering, technology, and mathematical physics. • New solitons solutions for two different nonlinear models were constructed. • The solutions of these models were found using the rational (G'/G,1/G)-expansion technique. • The Physical meaning for the obtained solutions is graphically investigated. In the electrical transmission lines, the processing of cable signals distribution, computer networks, high-speed computer databases and discrete networks can be investigated by the modified Zakharov-Kuznetsov (mZK) equation as a data link propagation control model in the study of nonlinear Schrödinger type equations as well as in the analysis of the generalized stationary Gardner equation. The proposed Gerdjikov–Ivanov model can be used in the field of nonlinear optics, weakly nonlinear dispersion water waves, quantum field theory etc. In this work, we developed complete traveling wave solutions with specific t-type, kink type, bell-type, singular solutions, and periodic singular solutions to the proposed mZK equation and the Gerdjikov-Ivanov equation with the aid of the double G ′ / G , 1 / G - expansion method. These settled solutions are very reliable, durable, and authentic which can measure the fluid velocity and fluid density in the electrically conductive fluid and be able to analysis of the flow of current and voltage of long-distance electrical transmission lines too. Abstract: Fresh-cut okra pods were stored in sealed polypropylene bags at 5°C and 95% RH for 8days. Pods were dipped in 0.5% solution of cysteine, ascorbic acid, CaCl2, or citric acid for 5min before storage. The main observed undesirable physiological and morphological alterations were weight loss, increasing microbial load, softening texture, and decreasing the phenolic content with blackening in color. CaCl2 was effective in increasing cell membrane integrity leading to improving texture, minimizing weight loss, decreasing microbial load, and preventing polyphenoloxidase (PPO) from contacting its phenolic substrates and thus reducing blackness. Ascorbic acid and cysteine were best anti-coloring agents since their strong ability to inhibit PPO and reacting with the resulted colored quinones to give colorless products. Reducing blackness was found parallel to decreasing phenolic content, indicating the role of the phenolic oxidation in the blackening process in okra pods during storage. Citric acid was less effective in enhancing the examined physical and chemical properties. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the vascular response of zotarolimus-eluting stent (ZES) and sirolimus-eluting stent (SES) using serial intravascular ultrasound (IVUS). Methods: Data were obtained from the Endeavor Drug-Eluting Coronary Stent System Versus the Center Siromlimus-Eluting Coronary Stent System in De Novo Native Coronary Artery Lesions (ENDEAVOR) III trial, a randomized study comparing ZES and SES for the treatment of de novo native coronary artery lesions. Serial (baseline and 8-month follow-up) IVUS was available in 258 patients (190 ZES, 68 SES). Results: At 8 months, ZES had greater percentage of neointimal volume index (ZES 1.1 ± 0.8 mm3/mm vs SES 0.2 ± 0.1 mm3/mm, P < .01), resulting in smaller lumen volume index (6.0 ± 2.0 mm3/mm vs 7.0 ± 2.1 mm3/mm, P < .05). Zotarolimus-eluting stents showed larger IVUS-detectable neointimal coverage over stent surface (50.2% vs 10.5%, P < .01) and greater mean neointimal thickness (0.19 ± 0.07 mm vs 0.10 ± 0.06 mm, P < .01). Zotarolimus-eluting stents had a significantly lower incidence of late-acquired incomplete stent apposition. Conclusions: Zotarolimus-eluting stent is associated with a significantly greater amount of neointimal hyperplasia compared with SES. This amount of hyperplasia in ZES is distributed throughout the stent at 8-month follow-up. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Background: Recurrent restenosis may occur after drug-eluting stent implantation for in-stent restenosis (ISR) of bare metal stents (BMSs), especially in areas involving drug-eluting stent gaps. Methods: To investigate the details of neointimal progression and luminal narrowing after the treatment of ISR using sirolimus-eluting stents (SESs), serial intravascular ultrasound analysis was performed in 65 patients with ISR at postintervention and at 6-month follow-up. The total stented segment was categorized into 3 compartments: new SES (N), new SES and old BMS overlap (N/O), and old BMS (O). In each of the 190 compartments, serial intravascular ultrasound parameters were analyzed at the cross section of the maximum change in neointimal area (Δneointimal area) from postintervention to follow-up or the minimum lumen area at follow-up if Δneointimal area was 0. Minimum lumen area in each compartment was also investigated serially. Results: At postintervention, lumen area was the smallest in compartment N/O (N 5.8 ± 1.5, N/O 5.1 ± 1.3, O 6.0 ± 1.4 mm2, P = .005). Not only the average of maximum Δneointimal area (N 0.2 ± 0.4, N/O 0.2 ± 0.4, O 0.8 ± 1.0 mm2, P < .0001) but also the frequency of minimum lumen area decreasing from ≥4.0 mm2 at postintervention to <4.0 mm2 at follow-up (N 4.0%, N/O 5.1%, O 23.5%, P = .012) was the largest in compartment O. Conclusions: Neointimal progression and consequent luminal narrowing tend to occur where BMS is uncovered with SES in treatment of ISR, even in the absence of an obvious stenosis at postintervention. • Different wave structures for abundant solutions to the (2 + 1)-dimensional soliton equation are investigated. • Performance was done using the strategy of the double (G'/G, 1/G)-expansion method. • Physical explanations are discussed for the obtained solutions. In this paper, the double ( G ' / G , 1/ G)-expansion method is employed to establish explicit general solutions of the nonlinear (2 + 1)-dimensional soliton equation. A variety of exact travelling wave solutions are attained involving three functions that are classified into rational, trigonometric and hyperbolic with especial parameters that originate the solitary explicit and new periodic solutions. The used method is the generalization of the ( G ' / G)-expansion method and it rediscovers all the acquainted solitary wave solutions that are obtained by means of the ( G ' / G)-expansion method. 2–4 million Muslims attend Hajj each year over last 4–5 years. Umra visitors are seen all along most the year. This creates high demand on all services provided specially the medical. The majority of Hajjes are elderly with co morbidities. They are subject to intense emotional, spiritual & physical endurance during the short period of Hajj season. For the last 4 years King Abdulla Medical City (KAMC) is the centre of care for almost all cardiac services provided in Makkah. Echocardiography is a pivotal & integral part of any cardiology service, providing important information about morphology, function & possible etiology in many cases. There is an increasing demand on echo service in KAMC especially during Hajj season. Our service model is unique to meet this increasing demand during Hajj season. To report: we report the service set up. The volume of cases done our experience & challenges met during last four years. The service is provided between first & 15th of Dhul Haja each year. The service is 24 h divided into 12 h shifts. The two shifts are adequately covered by well trained echocardiographers & experienced non-invasive consultant cardiologists. This staff is distributed within the various cardiology clinical areas, to insure rapid response. The studies are done Philips (i30, Epic7) machines. Data acquired is transmitted by special ports/WiFi to our echo lab (Xcelera system) where the data is stored & available for viewing & reporting. Reports are created by the responsible consultants using a number of dedicated stations. Viewing stations are well distributed over the whole hospital. The results of this abstract are analyzed using simple Microsoft office tools. Between years 2011 and 2015 there is exponential increase of echo studies done in KAMC, with similar increase in the number of studies done among Hajjes. There was an increase in the number of echo machines, echocardiographers & consultants (See Tables and Graphs attached). Between the years 2011–2012 and 2012–2013 there was a significant jump in the number of echo studies done in KAMC & during Hajj season. Between the years 2013–2014 and 2014–2015 the incremental rate slowed down. (See Table 2). Some of challenges noted during Hajj season: locum staff needed to cover the Hajj period High volume of echo studies needed done & reported within short time. Language barrier causing lack of important medical information & causing delay/failure to consent when special studies are needed eg TEE. The infrequent lack of clinical data in the request forms to guide the study & reporting. There is occasional complex cases. Hajj season is unique & challenging experience to most Hajjes & service providers. Our service set up is demanding but quite adequate to meet the expectations. The data gathered over last 4 years showed clear & exponential increase in the number of echo studies. Service providers need to plan & accommodate this expected increase. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: L’objectif principal de cette étude est de montrer que le DT1 auto-immun peut se révéler à un âge avancé. L’objectif secondaire est de déterminer des caractéristiques cliniques ou biologiques susceptibles de faire évoquer ce diagnostic chez la personne âgée. Patients et méthodes: Nous avons réalisé deux études rétrospectives cas-témoins. Un groupe de 12 patients de plus de 70 ans DT1 avec anticorps anti GAD et/ou IA2 positifs sont recrutés dans les hôpitaux lyonnais de 1997 à 2012. Ce groupe est comparé à un groupe de 24 patients DT2 révélés après 70 ans et de 24 témoins DT1 plus jeunes. Sont comparés : la présentation clinique, les antécédents familiaux et personnels, le profil métabolique et biologique, la prise en charge initiale et à distance du diagnostic et l’évolution du diabète. Résultats: En analyse uni-variée, par rapport au sujet âgé DT2, le mode de révélation du DT1 après 70 ans est plus brutal, associé à une perte de poids et à un diabète plus déséquilibré. L’insulinothérapie est instaurée plus souvent. En analyses multi-variées, un terrain auto-immun personnel, un IMC bas et une HbA1c plus élevée sont retrouvées de façon indépendante chez les cas âgés. Par rapport au DT1 du sujet jeune, en analyse uni-variée, le cas âgé est moins symptomatique à la révélation, son IMC est plus haut, il possède plus de complications attribuées au diabète et un terrain auto-immun. Conclusion: Le DT1 auto immun peut se révéler après l’âge de 70 ans. Son diagnostic peut être évoqué sur les disparités qu’il présente par rapport au DT2 du sujet âgé et du DT1 du sujet jeune.
